You can check out all sets and their possible items in my Android app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dpb.esotoolkit
I'll soon start working on a Windows Universal App version, which would hopefully allow it to work on the Xbox One :P
They let you craft item sets with different effects and requirements (you will need to research a number of traits for each piece of armor/weapon).
You can find a list of all sets in my Android app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dpb.esotoolkit
Iam not sure if will reduce the time of the already resarching, but here you are an Phone app you could use its called ESO TOOLS you have to set up the time manually and check out when you feed you horse etc.
I used this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dpb.esotoolkit
I don't know if there's an iphone equivalent.
Just gather or buy a ridiculous amount of plants, use the highest level solvent or poison you can, indicate to the app which plants you have available. You'll get a bunch of recipes, telling you what to combine.
If the recipe is on a blue background it's a potion solvent.
If it's red it's a poison solvent.
Go nuts :)
Eso toolkit is a good mobile app that I use for crafting. It has an emulator where you can build any crafting item (armor, food, glyphs, etc) You can also keep track of researched traits, horse management. Set crafting locations. Just to name a few things. It totally changed my eso experience.
The only thing I think it's "missing" is a skyshards map.
I use it on Android , no idea if it's on Apple.
Edit:formatting
If you're on console, you can use my Android app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dpb.esotoolkit
It will help you keep track of many things (manually, though).
I'm currently working on adding all data from the newest patch, but I'm playing too much :S
Have you looked at this one?

Not sure if it has Skyshards.

What phone do you have? Android or iPhone? or sometime else entirely?

Is an excellent way to level alchemy.
Collect EVERYTHING, when it comes to alchemy, all the plants you come across.
Play around and combine the plants with the app to see which combinations yields potions and start crafting.
It'll progress quite fast, at least that was my experience.
I unfortunately haven't found an iOS equivalent to that app.
I like to theorycraft different set combinations using the ESO Toolkit on the Android Play Store.
There are also a few skill builders.
If you have an Android phone, I made an ESO app that lists all sets in the game (and other stuff): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dpb.esotoolkit
ESO Tools

It will let you track your traits, show you timers... and a lot more.
If you have an Android device, you could use the ESO Toolkit. Not sure about iOS
You will find that you only need a few primary traits on any piece of crafted gear, so you should research those traits first before you start a 2nd or 3rd trait on each piece.
For Armor - PVE - Training (if still leveling) - Divines - Infused
For Armor - PVP - Impenetrable
For Weapons - Sharpened - Precise
Get those traits first as your first number of set traits on a complete set of gear, then get the additional number of traits for each higher required set on those pieces.
Take a moment to catalogue where you are at so you know which trait to start on the next timer(s).
If you have some extra skill points, put them into the Research Timer passives of each hard craft to reduce research time (Metallurgy/Stitching/Carpentry). ESO+ will also reduce time.
Research Time is hard set and 9 traits will take a long time:
The base timers w/o any bonuses are 6h/12h/1d/2d/4d/8d/16d/32d/64d for each trait for each item.
For 9 Traits with ALL bonuses is still 70days 45min on one item.

Yes any 5 traits on each set piece.

I use ESO Toolkit to even scratch that itch on my mobile so you aren't the only one.
I use this in my Android App.
If you have an Android phone, you should try my app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dpb.esotoolkit
It has an enchanting simulator among many other things.
You could try my own app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dpb.esotoolkit
You can use my Android app to easily keep track of which ones you can create: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dpb.esotoolkit
There are some pen and paper options and a few Phone Apps that can help track:
Aww, that's too bad. I recommend this app since you don't have addon support.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dpb.esotoolkit
1) Until you know the flowers by sight, turn of the grass in settings. The only thing left will be harvest nodes and foliage that doesn't interact. You can turn it back on when not focusing on harvesting to enjoy the land.
There is no master listing on the console for all the available Recipes and Ingredients. When at a cooking fire, uncheck the have knowledge and have ingredients boxes and it will show everything you can make from what you have learned. You can learn most any recipe even if you can't make it yet. Then you can focus on what to keep and what to sell.
If you don't mind some spoilers, here are maps for harvest nodes:

Here are some Phone apps for a lot of ESO knowledge:
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/the-eso-app/id1065810256?mt=8

2) All gear in ESO drops at your level, meaning you can instantly use it. If you get a better piece, equip that and then sell or deconstruct the old piece. Very few if any pieces at L1-50 will sell for much to other players. And you won't start getting the higher level pieces that do sell until you are that level yourself.
If you want to start hoarding items at low levels, unless you have the gold/real money to buy bag/bank upgrades early, the only other storage source is extra characters and their bag space.
You only need to keep crafting materials for what you are leveling at the moment. Alchemy only needs 2 ingredients and the proper level waters/greases to make potions/poisons. Provisioning only needs 4 Green recipes and the 2 ingredients for each. BS-WW-Cloth at low levels is just deconstructing everything and doing writs.
Writ requirements are somewhat narrow and can be the only items you keep.
http://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Crafting#Crafting_Writs
3) If you have decided on a build (role/Class) then take the time to look at several end-game builds to see what gear/weapons/skills/stats they have in common. Focus on those common items first and after those are done move on to the unique needs for your build.
http://tamrielfoundry.com/forum/classes/
3b) See 1 above
4) The game has evolved to only really need all Magicka or all Stamina, with health only needed by Tanks if it all. Foods/drinks/gear/bonuses all can compensate for no points in health.
5) For L1-50 you need to learn your skills and the combat system. Earning skill points allows you to open and morph new skills and apply passive bonuses. The Experience (XP) that awards skill points and character levels can only come from killing an NPC, Quest Completion, or specific content completion like Dungeons, Delves, Dolmens and Trials.
There are specific type of quests that award a skill point, you can run those first if desired and leave the side quests for later or when you want to clear a whole zone.
http://teso-guides.com/the-elder-scrolls-online-skill-point-quests
But do not skip killing anything along the way, all that XP adds up and if you skip it you will not have the needed skills opened at the end of leveling.
Here's some basic links that will probably help with your next batch of early questions:

Uhm, ESO Toolkit on Android?

There's also a smartphone app called "ESO Toolkit" that I highly recommend.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dpb.esotoolkit&hl=en
Nothing official but I use two third party apps that are huge QoL improvements for me as a console player.
First up is "ESO Toolkit". I use that one for tracking research, horse and hireling timers. Occasionally I use the app to look up specific sets or use the set builder to piece together gear and see the full bonuses applied. This app is great for crafting characters with the timers, enchanting/alchemy calculators and set look ups. Available on Android and maybe iOS - free. Android link
Second, and my favorite, "The ESO App". This one is great. Primarily it shows you a map for whichever region you select with all of the skyshards, lorebooks, delves, world bosses, treasure map/surveys, basically everything except psijic time breaches. When you grab the item or completion mark in game you can long press the icon on the app map and it disappears so you won't need to wonder if you grabbed it already. Each delve or dungeon on the over world map can also be selected to open a map of the delve with skyshard/boss location. Two other big features I like in this app is the motif tracking and master angler fish tracking. Basically a list by motif or by region where you can check off motif pages or rare fish to easily track what you have vs what you need. This app does have some of the other stuff that the ESO Toolkit has but I prefer the Toolkit for those features. If you only get one app I highly recommend this one. I've heard rumor the developer of this app previously worked on ESO at some point. Very nice app all around and it feels like the closest thing we'll get to an add on for console. Available on Android and iOS with free and paid versions. Android link
