You (and actually me, too) might be rubbed the wrong way by this because we know the latin roots-- but to ignore that language is by its nature a consensus system that changes with time is to completely fail to understand language in general. If this one is enough to get you worked up, I urge you not to look too closely at most words. There's no spirals on a "helicopter," for example, despite the greek root.

Development for ESO started in 2007. Consoles weren't even on the radar for this game until Sony practically begged ZOS to bring it to the PS4 in 2013.

Have you played the game? If you are judging the graphics based off of streams and videos which get severely nerfed for size constraints, you would be grossly wrong. You keep comparing the game to single player titles. It is not. It is an MMO, which requires a bunch of different technology requirements.
TERA graphics aren't bad, but they are way worse than ESO.
I think you may be just looking for a reason to dislike the game, because your arguments although subjective to a degree are not the judgement of the vast majority.

That is incorrect but often confusing because most people bought the collector's edition at release. You actually need the explorer's pack which was a preorder bonus that had nothing to do with what version of the game you bought. You can still grab it from resellers for under $2.

BSOD is a hardware/driver fault. Since Windows XP, the OS is build to prevent the software to interact directly with the hardware and thus preventing BSOD.
To understand what went wrong with your system do this after a BSOD.

Blue screens usually mean buggy drivers or (less often) hardware failure. A game itself shouldn't be able to cause one, especially not the installer.
It'd help if you could take a picture of the error, including the driver name and the error codes. Or something like BlueScreenView might be able to retrieve the details of past crashes.
I do not concur on the any race any alliance except for those who pre-ordered the game. It was advertised as "exclusive" and should remain that way.

However, I do agree that given that the group dungeons are Undaunted related, there seems to be "lore" to allow for cross-alliance dungeon groups as the Undaunted is alliance-neutral.
It's normal for a program to allocate space before it begins writing information. This is to prevent the end user from filling that space before the operation is complete. In the case of ESO this is particularly inconvenient because it is a very large game. If you do not have enough disk space and do not want to remove anything from your current disk then yes, you will have to buy a new drive. You can normally get 120GB SSDs for around $40-$60 on sale, I would suggest going that route as it's fairly cost effective and will help boost your load times.
Otherwise, looking into some space saving utilities to help clean up your current disk. WinDirStat will help you see where the greatest concentrations of data are on your machine, and help you clean up efficiently. BleachBit will help to clear out junk taking up space on your PC. I recommend this over CCleaner. ESO is worth the pain of getting it installed if you're a fan of MMOs and Elder Scrolls
Take everything im about to say with a grain of salt, im by no means an expert or whatever. One of the biggest issues at hand for ZoS, is that ESO runs on a really old engine (http://www.heroengine.com/he-games) so optimizing things is quite the challenge. Rewriting everything over to a new engine would take a crazy ammount of resources, something they do not have to spare right now. On pc, the performance right now honestly isn't all too bad, by all means is it still worse to competing games, and I think ZoS has still a very far way to go to get to an acceptable state, but there is improvements. The addition of multicore support has pushed a few frames, but it's still pretty subpar, and still doesn't utilize all cores efficiently, such as other, new up to date games does.
But I completely agree with what you're saying, this should NOT be acceptable, and there needs to be improvements. Not only in terms of performance do we need to see an improvement, but also in terms of balance for the likes of PvE, and other things. We've been waiting for a long time now, but there's still pretty marginal improvements that's being done. I can only imagine though for you as a console players, all these issues must be way worse. On my new desktop at home, running an 8700k, clocked to 5ghz at all cores with a 1080ti, I still run into performance issues. I hope to see improvements over the next year, but I highly doubt it after what I've seen in terms of improvements over the years.
I just wish we could atleast have some transparency, we're being completely left out in the dark, and it sucks.

The biggest problem is that screenshots don't capture the actual experience of playing the game.
The animations are jerky and rather bland. Some look just outright silly.
There is also no proper Anti-aliasing, which creates a very poor visual experience when actually playing the game. Objects shimmer, the detail on buildings and characters gets muddled generally giving a bad impression.
The art and art style looks great when static, but as soon as you start moving around you can see some glaring image quality issues. This is all running on a GTX Titan at max settings from being in the closed PTS beta for over 6 months.

I am VERY happy that I decided to buy the game. Game is SUPER populated (second most populated mmorpg actually after WoW) and there are players just EVERYWHERE!
yea, as dps its kinda "hard" to get into dungeon (that means you will wait about 10 minutes in queue), but me, as healer, I never, NEVER wait more than 15 seconds! Tanks are on the same stage.
There is lot of retailers if you want to save money but its risky (they can ban the key if it is from stolen credit card etc.) but thats very rare...
And yes, there is "bundle" where you get ALL dlcs in game (except 2 that adds only 2 dungeons, no another content) and its called, as I already said, GOLD EDITION.

I figured a way to get rid of the Darkened right side of the images, I captured two copies of the images from two different menu points. One with stuff in the middle but no dark right side, and then the ones you have.

Other way around its somehow pay to win if you buy a token for 20€ and get 230k gold for it to buy some raid gear random drops. Still wow charges for shop mounts, pets... oh and wait even for transmoggear! I play both wow and eso so I don't judge how they make money, its just how it is both have pros/cons.

ESO Helper. Best $2 I've spent in a while. Let's you track Skyshards, delves, dungeons, Lore books, etc. on an interactive map so you can track what you've found and what you need. Has timers for research and horse training, track researched traits and known motifs. Even has survey locations marked AND M'iq locations! Only thing it doesn't do is keep an in-depth character sheet and that's not really a big deal.

Hey man, I didn't have any issues like this, but I do have a suggestion. First, you could try out some of the well known paid vpns like NordVPN or PIA. Free VPNs won't do cuz their quality isn't great and probably won't solve your issue. Also do you get similar ping on other games too? Maybe you're in the wrong server or region

A leak that predicted the name of the game 7 months ago? I'd call that accurate rather than sketchy.
There's also Jason Schreier saying it is not like a traditional Fallout RPG and that it will have an online component. You can see the vault in the trailer is heavily customized, unlike any of the other vaults we've seen in previous games. Plus, the speech on the TV saying "you must rebuild".
Everything so far seems to point to a survival building game. I seriously hope I'm wrong and those leaks are wrong, because a survival Rust-like Fallout game would be fucking disappointing.

A quick crash course, each item in-game has a code associated with it (Item ID) and to link an item you need a full "item code", for example the item code for Crawlers (the bait) is:

The "42871" is the item ID of crawlers, "30" is the item quality/level modifier and the "1" is the actual item level. You can change the item code to display what you want.
Now, the item code for "Vein From the Heart of Lorkhan" is "64277", so we edit the link code:

As for locating the item IDs, they are all in a giant .xml file which I have uploaded here. Just CTRL+F "Vein From the Heart of Lorkhan" and find the entry, the code in the second column from the left is the item ID. Edit the item link code with the ID you want and you are done! Thankfully all the "epic" Justice Items in the OP are in the same place around where this particular item is in the .xml.
It is a little more complex than this, some items are linkable, others aren't, some items have multiple copies which means you need to find the right one, you can make some items legendary/whatever level you want and others you can't. It's just trial and error to learn what you can and can't do/use.

I would avoid G2A like the plague right now.
It's been reported that the keys they're selling were generated using Steam accounts and while the keys do work on the ESO website, Zenimax sees them as Steam copies (because they are). The problem with this is that if someone redeems one of these keys on the Zenimax website, they cannot buy Crowns from Zenimax because it's a Steam version, but equally they cannot buy Crowns from Steam because they don't have ESO in their Steam library (and the keys from G2A do not redeem on Steam because the game is already "owned" by someone else, namely the douchebag that originally sold the key to G2A).
On top of this there's also a high chance that these keys were obtained through fraudulent means (either purchased on hijacked steam accounts or with stolen creditcard details), which means there's a risk that Steam will notify Zenimax once the chargebacks start rolling in and Zenimax may choose to revoke the keys or ban the accounts. All in all this is NOT a position you want to be in with an MMO. You could lose all your progress as a result of G2A selling keys they shouldn't have.
My advice would be to pay a little bit more and go with an official retailer or buy directly from Zenimax. As someone pointed out GMG has a good deal right now with their VIP program and another retailer called Gamesplanet has the Standard Edition for 27% off, which is the best non-voucher deal right now in Europe.
This site is pretty good for checking the lowest prices, although they don't display "hidden deals" like GMG's VIP offers - they also list ONLY official third party retailers that get their keys directly from the publisher, you won't run into any grey market resellers here: http://isthereanydeal.com/

Won't happen. The logistics and programming alone of what you propose isn't feasible. I think the problem you had in beta was exacerbated by everyone logging in over a two day period and all being squished in to a single zone. The game plays way more like a single player game than you realize. You should look for great deals and just give it a try. For the $20s linked, it's worth the risk.
First off, you won't be able to buy Morrowind with crowns.
Secondly, you're conflating preorder and collector's edition bonuses. Check the two graphics at the bottom of this page. Nothing in the preorder or collector's edition makes you more powerful than just buying the regular edition
If you order before tomorrow you'll get the preorder bonus on either standard or collector's edition. Note that the only thing you'll be able to get with crowns later is the XP scrolls and crown crate.
It is possible that they'll add the collector's edition items as a bundle to the crown store later on, but that's purely speculation based on the fact that they call it the Discovery Pack

I can't find anything too substantial. Here has one sentence about it in the 5th paragraph. Everything else I find is vague sentences or forum posts =\ No official word yet it would seem.

I had many times when MMOs went bad with connection.
usually what helped me "get around" until it is fixed was this:
go to open DNS and update your computer to use Open DNS: https://www.opendns.com/
open CMD and type: ipconfig /flushdns
launch the game and check it out again.
if that is not working try to ask zos for an address to run pathping command on to see which pointing the way is slowing you down, might be something with your ISP which pathping can give you indication on what to tell them.

You're situation is unfortunate and increasingly common. I banning can be inconvenient for consumers, but is one of the few reliable tools server mangers have to combat DDOS attacks. I wouldn't necessarily blame ZOS for this, but I understand the desire to blame someone for your situation (just remember the blame falls solely on those who organized the attacks that prompted this countermeasure. As far as a solution, you're probably going to pay out of pocket if you want more reliable access to the ESO servers. You can probably pay a fee for a static IP from your ISP, but they might not provide you with one that isn't blacklisted by ZOS, and I'm unsure how cooperative they would be in troubleshooting that problem. My best advice would be to subscribe to a good VPN service, if that's within your financial means. I personally use NordVPN, which is fairly expensive as far as those things go, but provides clients for a broad range of platforms and devices and provides excellent connection options. A VPN would be useful to you beyond connecting to the servers as well, while a static IP may have more limited utility.
I have the same issue. ESO is the only game that kicks me randomly every 10-30 minutes. I am connecting from Germany (Provider: 1&1).
I bought a VPN account from a service called "Mullvad" (5€ a month) and connect through a VPN in Germany to the ESO servers which eliminates the issue. So in my case it is likely to be a routing problem by my ISP. While reasonable, it feels strange that ESO is the only game I have issues like that with though.

I'll look it up later when I'm not on my phone but there's a program people commonly used for streaming, I forget the name. You can limit the recording area to your minimap in game, and then have the stream preview on full screen on your second screen. Obviously pixels become an issue, but I don't know of any other alternatives. I know some friends who did this for league.

ESO's 10 million press release uses vague wording but earlier this year it was confirmed that Zenimax's "unique players" metric is indeed based on copies sold.
GW2 and FFXIV haven't released such information since 2015 when both had around 5 mil. But judging by Google trends and other random bits of information it's safe to assume that both games maintain their popularity more or less.
Blizzard was never too keen on releasing copies sold information but until 2015 they had a quarterly active players report. There also was a recent leak (read "PR move") that stated that the population is back to 8 mil quarterly subscribers.
Judging by the aforementioned statistics WoW's liftime copies sold is guesstimated somewhere around 70-100 mil. Again, this is just an educated guess based on active players and widely agreed upon. It can be 50 mil, it can be over 100 mil, no one knows for sure. But bottom line is that it's obviously much higher than the same metric for any of the runner-ups.

MassivelyOP is a pretty reputable site usually on MMO news, they've been in the business for a long time (formerly massively.com), the source they claim to have is a press release, which suggests Bethesda disclosed this to gaming press first to make headlines rather than tweet about it themselves.
Either way, if they went to the effort of photoshopping those pictures to troll with something that was kinda expected, whatever.

I don't think it's fake though, it was kind of expected with the datamined 'All DLC' in the Crown Store and 'finally' having TG and DB in and One Tamriel coming in Autumn. It's also in line with the retail price dropping to 39,99, at least on Steam - will Gold replace standard or be a more expensive alternative to standard?

Name another MMO that does DLC releases where it's free? WoW is a Sub based MMO and it's DLC (expansions) are as much as the original game cost.
Personally I think this system ZOS has is actually pretty decent. With a few exceptions such as there is no value in the ESO plus membership.
Other than that shelling out $25 every 3 months is still cheaper than the sub fee and you get all the content for that price, no limitations.

It's a little bit more squirrely to find sources for outlaws that haven't already been implemented (locked chests, breaking+entering, pickpocketing), but in addition to bounty, performing Outlaw actions will increase your overall infamy level which (as of last fall, so almost a year ago) will factor into the whole cops vs robbers game.
Love the horse fix and the group fix as I experienced that last night where me and a friend went into a dungeon and when we left, he could see me and I couldn't see him except the icon over his head..so we had to fix it by going back into and out of a dungeon to resync ourselves....at least hopefully the patch fixes this.
However, I'm still disappointed they haven't fixed what I have been experiencing and others where hitting 'E' to interact sometimes doesn't seem to work..or things don't seem to work unless you change weapons and then back again with some skills. There was a thread about this at mmorpg.com, though the symptoms are very sporadic.

A: As Champion Points are gained by earning experience points, the answer is yes – it applies to both.

Here is an article about what Zenimax was contemplating before making this latest round of API changes. You'll have to scroll down a bit to see what they actually said. My interpretation was that having addons that give tactical advantages to gameplay (for instance an on-screen timer counting down a DoT expiration) would compel those who preferred a cleaner UI experience to install those addons simply to remain competitive.

It was said weeks ago that this was being planned. The addon API was made intentionally open and robust from the beginning to see how players would use it in beta. Then ZOS would judge how to make the API information balanced and fair for everyone, which they have just done.

it really could be. First, that generation of amd processors simply doesnt perform in games nearly as intel does. Even if they pull similar benchmark results, for some reason i5+ is just way faster in practice.

Edit : also mmo's, unlike single player or small coop games are much much more CPU reliant. Most of the times in almost all modern MMO?s its the CPU that is the bottleneck.
