We just expanded our new scrim finder to Rainbow Six Siege, and I thought /r/Rainbow6 might like to check it out. How it works is that you create a team and add your team members, pick a time to play, and we'll notify you via Discord or through the app once we've found you an opponent. We pull stats for everyone on the team so we can figure out platform/region and match you to a similarly-skilled team.
It's only been available for Overwatch to-date (/r/overwatch thread, but R6 has been our #1 most requested game since then, so I'm hoping you all enjoy it. I'd love to hear your feedback if you get a chance to try it out! Thanks :)

It differs from existing tools in that it's fully integrated into Discord, fully automatic (no posting/accepting scrims - we match behind-the-scenes), and it's driven by player stats.
We initially launched it for Overwatch (/r/overwatch thread), and we've been getting requests to open it up for CSGO since our last thread on this sub (link), so I hope you all find it useful. Would love to hear your feedback if you get a chance to try it out :)
We just opened up our matchmaking for Destiny, and (given posts like this on the frontpage) I'm hoping this sub finds it useful. The TL;DR is that you create a team and add your clan members, pick a time to play, and we'll match you up notify you via Discord and the app once they've been found. We launched it for CSGO a few months ago, so there's more discussion here if you'd like to read more. It differs from in-game matchmaking in that we'll only match up full teams, and we have a reputation/skill-based system that should allow you to get better matches.

It's meant to make it easier to find more constructive and competitive matches with other organized groups.
We've launched it for a few other games (example) and we've been getting a lot of requests for Rocket League since then, so I hope this sub finds it useful. ~~It's only for 2v2 right now, but we'll likely expand to 1v1 and 3v3 if 2v2 ends up being used a lot~~. Since everyone seems to prefer 3v3, we're 3v3 now. Feedback/thoughts/feelings/questions welcome!

The developers are very active in improving the platform performance. Both Desktop & Mobile. Both of which are an ongoing challenge, read more about it here.
They use something called OTA Updates, which essentially reduces the times you'll actually see the app updating, whether that be the Preload Splash (Guilded's initial launching with the logo filling up) saying that it's updating or an Update on your Mobile App Store.

Not really for tourneys, but you can fill out your team and they will search for another team with similar skill rating and set up a scrim for you and your friends
There are many different ways you could do that, so here you go:
- By advertising it in weekly server recruitment on this subreddit, in various promoting/advertising servers on Guilded and in server recruitment.
- By being active in the Guilded community. That can attract at least decent number of people.
- By having something unique in your server that gives the server purpose for a lot of people.
- By having a lot of (especially unique & useful) emotes.
That's how I grew my server to 379 members.
One of the ways they get funding is via server subscriptions. It's kind of like Patreon, where you can donate to your favorite servers. They get a 2.5% cut, which is quite a bit less than other crowd-funding platforms.
If micromovements are responsible for your miss, then your sens is probably to high. Get
- Get some teammates (r/recruits or common websites )
- Learn at least on smoke per side of your common maps (better more, but one at a time)
- Run arround in an empty server throwing flashes around. Best against walles to find good, indirect popflashes and to get used to timings.
- Use training_aim_csgo2 . Put Settings on :
- Size: Head
- Delay: random
- Static Tar. Duration: you can increase it at the beginning but should end up with the default
- Try to hit x targets per distance. Move only to the next distance when you hit your x targets.
- Change distance in this pattern: 1,4,2,3 .
- concentrate more on distance 4, especially if you miss shots due to micro movements
- If you want to Train AWP/scout use the same map with settings:
- Size: Head
- delay: 1.5
- WAit without zooming in, move onto appearing target, zoom in, shoot (only when on target)
- Us a pistol/knife to quickswitch(zoom out) inbetween shots
- Train spray patttern
- Train it in two parts:
- first upwardsmovement
- then let the sparay go all up and only train the sidemovement
- combine both if you master both
- Train it in two parts:
- Instead of FFA use duels mode to train against real life opponents. BrutalCS has some servers.

Extra tipp: If you have troubles with your sensetivity you can try provohats mousaccel (most people are strictly against accel, but only becuase they don`t know provohat)
I feel like people are too quick to point at balancing disparity for the role compositions, though. It's kind of hard to balance for the fact that snipers are harder to master on console than PC, which plays a big role in Ana not getting picked, and Mercy picking up some of that slack.

Console players are less likely to play as Ana, leading to more people Supporting with Mercy. Mercy's popularity encourages people to run Pharah. Pharmercy proves to be effective, and more people are encouraged to pick them more and more. It's an ant mill where they feed into each other until somebody breaks the loop with something more disruptive.
There's a lot of stuff causing ripples through the meta on PC and console, and I don't think it's as simple as just "balancing issues."

And finally, save yourself all the angst and fly Simulator Mode - you won’t regret it, you’ll actually get the experience of flying in a flight sim, and the rewards and payout is still slightly better than Air RB. Air RB sucks your soul out and makes people jaded after a very short period of time, so I recommend sim!

I think one important thing would be to make sure there are scheduled events for people. The hardest thing you may find is finding a time / day that works for everyone, but if you try to say "we're going to do do rated bgs / arena on these days" people can organise themselves to be part of it. Make sure you survey your members to work out what is best - first go with days / times you are free to host, then ask ppl to choose from that subset of days / times.
The best way to advertise, is to do it everywhere and make sure its current.
It's good to have a Discord channel for your account, and having a website is a good way to keep resources in accessible format (eg bg strat videos etc). https://www.guilded.gg has launched recently with a new layout, with discord integration so check them out.

This is a hybrid of traditional tabletop and electronic RP that plays out similar to a LARP but with some unique elements. We use the Fallout 2d20 RPG system for in and out of game roleplay.
We are themed around survivors of Vault 76 that found the ruins of Paladin Taggerdy’s Brotherhood and bridged the gap between their fall and the arrival of the Brotherhood First Expeditionary Force.
Players who are looking to take part in a cohesive storyline where actions and accomplishments make an actual difference will find their home here. We're also looking for people who want to take part in collectively creating content for Fallout 76.
Our stories are told via in-game chat on public servers. A microphone is required. We also record some of our sessions to share with the fallout 76 community.

It was pretty cool. I certainly like the new version better, and I don't have the best memory so I don't know exactly what it used to look like, but I have a few screenshots here. Keep in mind this is a streamer's server that I set up back in the day, so it does include ads to their stuff.
I really liked the darker color scheme.
Having groups only for games was a bit limiting, but it was pretty nice anyways. It automatically had all channel types (which, of course, weren't really channels, but sections). There was pretty little setup in terms of permissions. You could set perms server wide, and make exceptions per group. There was also no chat section, but on the bottom right there was a Reddit chat-esque chat tab, which had global chats for all games, and a chat per server/"team".

I'm CaptainCox, the leader of [1TR], the 1st Terran Rangers / [1TRV] 1st Sovereignty Rangers. We play on Emerald.
We do regular platoon play every Friday and Sunday from 8-10PM EST. We usually get 4+ squads for ops. We specialize in infantry point holds and tech plants per hour. We try to be a relatively fast and mobile force on the map because we find the normal slow push from one base to the next on the lattice boring and less productive.
I should point out at this time that it is not required to be in 1TR to play in our squads or platoons, so if you don't want to make a decision yet or you choose to join another outfit but still want to play with us from time to time when the other outfit isn't doing anything, that is perfectly fine.
We also have multiple D&D campaigns. We play a considerable about of tabletop games when we're not playing Planetside. We also play games such as Stellaris, Zero-K, Warframe, Street Fighter, M&B: Bannerlord, Star Citizen, Dual Universe etc.
Our only requirements are that you are 18 or older and you agree to follow by our Code of Conduct. Basically don't be a dick.

One option for bridging your Discord and Guilded servers can be leveraging webhooks for content channels on Guilded so that your Discord server automatically receives notifications for activity whenever it's published. You can set these for calendar events, announcements, forum posts, docs, and media. We have a quick an easy guide for these here.
Our chat channels only support incoming webhooks, meaning that you can setup webhooks to post into them, but they cannot be used to deliver messages from a chat channel outward. The same is true for Discord's channels. We have some examples of how you can setup incoming webhooks here and here.
I know that some users have managed to create bots on Discord that have allowed them to automatically send chat messages as webhook calls, but I would be careful going this route as it may be a violation of Discord's terms of service.

We are a late night progression raiding guild. Our leadership has extensive competitive raiding experience in Vanilla all they way to present. We are an adult based guild as well -- if you can't hang with a bunch of mid-20s to 30s folk who swear, joke, and have a blast... look elsewhere.
While we may not raid a lot during the week, we plan on being efficient and ready to go when we do. You are expected to come prepared (this means food buffs, flasks, etc). Our goals are to push content and create a community.
We intend to start raiding by the second or third month after release. There will be “pre-raid” raids where we look at our raiding core and split it into Dungeon groups to help with gearing and for raiders to build a relationship in-game with each other.
We need commitment. 80%+ attendance for raiding is required. Many of us have busy lives and have to make time to play together on our two nights a week and without reliability it all falls apart. We get things done and have been playing this game forever -- we're looking for long term commitment.

I've joined a team last week and we use Guilded which is a nice system that you can link to Discord. It provides scheduling and knowing who goes, organizing VOD's/media and stuff like that. I highly recommend using it :)
You can make your guild, invite people to join. Create events, and take attendance all with a discord integration that lets them either go to the site or fill it out in discord directly.
As far as I know there isnt such a similar league system, in Rainbow you only have the ESL for competetive play. ComCup/Go4 are weekly tourmaments every friday and sunday (in EU at least) you can compete in but you dont earn any rank or move up by winning those, if you win a Go4 you get some R6-Credits and a in-game charm but that is it. To get in challenger league you have to play those open qualifer tournaments ( I think there are only twice a year) but for further info you have to click your way through the ESL-website.

I agree that Overwatch can get pretty bad at times but every game with a competative aspect, and even some that don't, can be. My best advice is to go to the OW LFT thread located here, or trying out sites like Guilded and finding a group. I've had more fun playing with 4-6 man groups or full 12 man skirmishes with friends then I ever would alone/with one or two friends.
Actually, I find the best experience to be playing with randoms. Clans with chain of command and global chat are such a headache to me, especially because people talk all sorts of stupid shit on Discord all the time and when there's 20 of them it's just jabber jabber with little to no interest to most of the audience, and you literally have to yell into a mic to find out important info about the game. People in general are very vain and I like this game's inherent stripping of vanity with no chain of command, no leaderboard and no global chat.
