Hello all,

I hope this is allowed here. I don't make any money on this game, I just love Rocket League and making games!
I had some free time in the past few weeks so I decided to make a 2D Rocket League game for mobile.
Currently the game is only on Android as I can't afford an Apple developer account. (Sorry iPhone users!)

You can download it for free here:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.MasterInteractiveArts.SprocketLeague

Feel free to comment feedback and suggestions, or email them to me through my Google Play developer email!
If enough people enjoy the game, I will continue to work on it! :)
Download Handbrake, it's an open source video encoder. Running your exported video through it will optimize it and reduce the file size greatly. Then I generally also remove the audio (unnecessary for a gif), and reduce the resolution (gfycat displays it at a lower res anyways).
Forgive me r/rocketleague, I suck at Rocket League.
But I'm a VR developer and here's a GIF from an app I'm working on called Bigscreen. It lets you use your computer on huge floating screens in VR (Oculus Rift or HTC Vive). Watch movies, browse reddit, or play your favorite Steam games. It also has Multiplayer, which this GIF shows. Up to 4 people can hangout in a virtual living room, with voice chat and screen streaming.
This basically enables "virtual LAN parties" in VR. Hangout, watch movies, or play games with your buddies across the country. Like real LAN parties, you can collaborate/strategize, screen peek / cheat, or just hangout. It's hard to explain how cool and immersive this feels in VR. Hope I'm not breaking some sub rule by sharing this, but I figured you guys might think it's cool!
There's actually a VR LAN party for Rocket League right now, today. So if you've got an HTC Vive or Oculus Rift, come join us in Bigscreen! More info about the party here. I'm gonna be playing in one of the [noob] rooms. Go easy on me :P
Not a problem at all.
Download Borderless Gaming
Start the game in window mode
Find "Rocket League (32-bit, DX9) in Borderless gaming and click the left facing arrow
Right click to select "Set Window Size", if the option is unavailable select "No Size Change" first
Follow the on screen instructions to select your game's resolution
Click the bottom most button in the center column.
After that, run a quick game to make sure the line between screens is in the right place, and you're good!
Used the program x360ce to map the gamecube controllers inputs to emulate an xbox 360 controller. It is important to note that the 64bit version does not work with rocketleague, so download the 32bit version.
With that program, if your controller is registered by your computer, you're good to go. Basically go around to each of the buttons and press record for their mapping. Then press the corresponding button on your controller. Once they're mapped, you can test out all of the inputs and see them update live on the preview. For rocket league in particular, the mapping is straight forward because the game does not use all of the xbox controllers buttons. You might want to find a good place to map the Left Bumper, as navigating the RL menus requires both bumpers. I have my Left bumper on DPad-Left and my right bumper is the Z button.
Then you will save the settings on the bottom right. This will create two files:
x360ce.ini xinput1_3.dll
Place those in your RocketLeague/Binaries/Win32 directory and start the game.
If you need any help just let me know. I made a thread here yesterday concerning setting up a gamecube controller. There might be some more info there if you need.
We just launched our scrim finder for Rocket League and I thought this sub might like to check it out. The TL;DR is that you pick a time to play, we work on finding an opponent for you in the background, and we notify you via the app and Discord once we've found a match for you. It's meant to make it easier to find more constructive and competitive matches with other organized groups.
We've launched it for a few other games (example) and we've been getting a lot of requests for Rocket League since then, so I hope this sub finds it useful. ~~It's only for 2v2 right now, but we'll likely expand to 1v1 and 3v3 if 2v2 ends up being used a lot~~. Since everyone seems to prefer 3v3, we're 3v3 now. Feedback/thoughts/feelings/questions welcome!
Oh my God! xD they could all have light up collars that turn into light fractals like these Flashing Panda Meteor Storm LED Changing Pattern Spinner Wand https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000BHSS6A/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_qRN3Cb26PD6SS
Android app Rocket Friend is out of beta!
An Android app where you can view leaderboards for all playlists and platforms, player profiles, news and much more. After 3-4 months I decided to put the app out of beta.
Full feature list:
Download on the Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.drivfe.rocketfriend
Subreddit: /r/rocketfriend
To all the people that downloaded the app 3 months back when I posted about it, thanks!
Check these out:
Font matches for "ROCKET"
Font matches for "LEAGUE"
From what I can tell, they're possibly two different fonts. Just go to those links and scroll down to see the closest matches.
Kotaku ran a story a while back but the whole thing just seems so absurd. My best friend and I both bought our favorite cars to race each other with in Gran Tourismo (A Supra and a 300ZX) in real life. I think the reason their car sales have slumped is because they have been making appliance cars for too long. Hell, the only new Toyota worth playing with in the game is actually in Forza as a Subaru BRZ. The Supra and Trueno will be missed though.
Same for me, I'm showing as unranked but can at least now see everyone else's rank. Screenshots and log linked below.

7,612,779,448 people on earth at the time I snapped it from http://www.worldometers.info/world-population/
365 days with 24 hours each makes 365x24 = 8760 hours for 1 person to keep RL open for a year.
8760 x 7,612,779,448 = 66,687,947,964,480 hours.
66,687,947,964,480 is still technically 3000+
Without a doubt an addiction. Does anyone know if Rocket League is available in China? If so will Rocket League have to post Loot Crate statistics under their new law?
Of course! And here's a recap from the event in LA(Written at 9:30 at night in LA after the day of the event! :P) http://www.espn.com/esports/story/_/id/17238607/rlcs-day-1-recap-kings-fall-ibp-northern-gaming-move-on
It's an alternate definition of the word "cheating", which is something like "to position oneself defensively near a particular area in anticipation of a play in that area", per Webster. It's more commonly used in baseball (where a runner might "cheat" towards the next base by standing several feet off their current base) or football (where a safety might "cheat" towards one side of the field or the other, trying to guess where the play is going to develop).

Here you are friend - Just change fps to whatever your computer can handle. I record my clips at 720p 120fps, so the initial size is maybe... 50mb, and it gets compressed down to about 25mb or less usually by Gfycat. =)
Steam only takes cuts for games bought from the Steam storefront. Psyonix could open their own store on their own website and sold Steam Keys and Steam wouldn't get a single penny from it. All awhile Psyonix has free access to all of these things from Steamworks.
I mean, companies literally exist for the sole fact of selling Steam Keys and Valve makes NO money from that. Have you heard of Humble Bundle, Greenmangaming, etc.? All of those places take their own cut based on selling free Steam Keys that developers give access to.
Again, developers still get all those juicy free tools, services, and frameworks to use in their game without Valve getting a dime. The only stipulation Valve puts on Steam Keys is that developers must sell them in an equal fashion. That just means you can't have any incentive like sales or making the prices much lower elsewhere to undercut the Steam Store.
Seems like a pretty fair deal to me, no? Yet hardly anyone knows that, and not enough developers take advantage of it. Just off the top of my head, Grim Dawn is one of the few games that actually sells the game directly on their site and get 100% profit from it (I know there is more, but not much).
In the end, Steam has done a hell of a lot for Psyonix, and almost every game on it's platform. There is a reason why big companies, such as Microsoft and EA, are back on the platform. More will come once Epic's money runs out, but that is another topic.
Some higher end keyboards have dedicated macro keys (like mine has S1 through S6 along the left side of all the normal keys), along with software to assign them to whatever text/keystrokes you want.
If your keyboard doesn't have macro keys, look at the free/awesome program AutoHotKey. Once you download/install it, run it. It will create the file AutoHotKey.ahk in your Documents folder. Open that file in Notepad. Set it to:
^!s:: SendRaw gg (Batmobile brake calipers rotate with disc, reducing braking efficiency, which is why we lost) return
Save and close. Right-click the green "H" icon in your system tray (AutoHotKey), and click "Reload This Script." Now whenever you press Ctrl+Alt+S (^ = Ctrl, !=Alt, s=s), AutoHotKey will catch this and instead send the text next to SendRaw.
Here's a reference for the special keys (like # = WindowsKey, etc.):
I know, I'm doing the same thing with NordVPN and I don't really understand what's causing it, my ping is pretty low though when I just play normally, my ping is high and the game lags like hell. Don't know if it's Rocket League related or ISP related
There are literally thousands of people who have practised since they were 9. Why aren't they all NBA pros?
Talent IS something you are born with (you should probably look up the definition).
"...if you put in the time and you love what you do enough to push yourself to the limit and beyond." is the same childlike naivety as
"You can be whatever you want to be."
No. We can't all be NBA players, pro gamers and astronauts. Grow up.
You don't even need a USB cable if your PC supports Bluetooth. Simply press and hold the Share and Home buttons until the light flashes and connect it to your PC like a regular bluetooth device. However, I would recommend using DS4Windows too as it provides way more control and better support.
The heating elements work pretty darn well this is the one I got on Amazon. Obviously the ones on the desk are a different company and they were not there for all the games I noticed. Since I have no idea what company it is, hard to have product placement. My guess it was a vendor at the MGM giving them out to players and are selling them to the rest there.

You should try this that out. If you are interested you can work with us on making the best AR/VR app for phones
Check out OBS. It's open sourced and free. It's a tiny bit tougher to set up than things like FRAPS, but it's allows you to control compression and graphics and all kinds of neat things.
If you like that, there's a thing in web development where you can ruin a troll's experience instead of banning them. It stops them creating new accounts.
Eg. https://www.drupal.org/project/misery
Delay: Create a random-length delay, giving the appearance of a slow connection. (by default this happens 40% of the time)
White screen: Present the user with a white-screen. (by default this happens 10% of the time)
Wrong page: Redirect to a random URL in a predefined list. (by default this happens 0% of the time)
Random node: Redirect to a random node accessible by the user. (by default this happens 10% of the time)
403 Access Denied: Present the user with an "Access Denied" error. (by default this happens 10% of the time)
404 Not Found: Present the user with a "Not Found" error. (by default this happens 10% of the time)
Forms don't submit: Redirect back to the form during validation to prevent submission. (by default this happens 60% of the time) Note: Occasionally certain forms validate based on which button was pressed, this won't work in those cases.
Crash IE6: If the user is using Internet Explorer 6, this will crash their browser. (by default this happens 0% of the time)
Spam: Replace node content with a set word. (by default this happens 10% of the time)
Logout: Log the user out. (by default this happens 10% of the time)
Totally irrelevant but I love it.
Just a tip if you don't want to download extra programs (not saying anything, but I've personally never heard of D3DGear, I'm sure most haven't), use these links.
If your GPU is an AMD, use ReLive
If your GPU is an NVIDIA, use Shadowplay
I linked them for reference as if you've got your drivers updated, both of those will be already installed most likely. I also didn't see anything on D3DGear about adjusting the bitrate, and their "HD" sample video of Overwatch is okay. Both ReLive and Shadowplay allow you to manually adjust the bitrate to well over 50mbps, which is overkill but if you want 1080p at 60FPS, I recommend 15-20mbps.
Hey man! My uni blocked all gaming access, so I connected my laptop to a free VPN service here
I'd suggest connecting to a nearby VPN outside your country.
If you're on Windows 10, I can walk you through setting it up. And I can confirm it works. I'm in Malaysia, and I connected to a Singapore VPN and am getting 60 ping in game, which is damn good.
This was fantastic- I want you to be my coach.
If you've got the time I'd love to get your thoughts on these two questions:
I don't know what console you play on, but I'm a pc player and I've recently decided to give into the inevitable and get myself a controller. I have a pro rating and feel that the m/k combo is holding me back. Would you by chance have any advice for which controller to look at. This controller is currently on its way from Amazon, mainly because it's cheap and I like the PS controller style, but I have no idea whether I might want to consider a different style for any reason.
I've begun dedicating a bit of time to practicing recently—running the in game tutorials and the queuing up shots in the 3rd party RL trainer—and I swear to god, I've been playing worse lately. What the heck is going on- why is practicing making me play like horse shit? Is this in anyway normal?
Edit: What am I doing wrong with this link?
Edit 2: fixed the link
I know it isn't ideal to do but most laptops should be able to run it. A friend runs it on her laptop and it is a just an everyday business/school one, the game looks fine and for $10 you can get a wireless adapter for Xbox controllers.
I understand a lot of people may not want to spend the extra money or play without friends but if you are seriously itching for it, it is an option.
Going to
http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri
On that laptop should let you know if you can run if you decide to check this option out.
No, "nearly" is not "near." "Nearly missed" would mean didn't miss, but almost. A "near miss" is a miss that came very close to a hit. It's a miss that was near, where as "nearly missed" means you were near to missing.
Here it's literally in the dictionary. Come on.
Another thing I'd like to add is using OBS as opposed to Bandicam or anything else. https://obsproject.com/
It's free but a slight learning curve. Regardless of it's learning curve, you possibly should learn a good bit about it if you plan on recording gameplay. Things like resolution, FPS, bitrate, your x264 presets, and all that good stuff should be taken into account.
Idk if he's become a meme or something but the bottom right is Chico Buarque https://rateyourmusic.com/release/album/chico_buarque/chico_buarque_de_hollanda/
My apologies if that is already well known.
Unfortunately, they've added a second definition to "literally" to account for all of the incorrect uses, such as this one. Such is language.
> : in effect : virtually —used in an exaggerated way to emphasize a statement or description that is not literally true or possible <will literally turn the world upside down to combat cruelty or injustice — Norman Cousins>

MiJ is thinly veiled malware.
Among other things. MotionInJoy is a HORRIBLE way to enable a DS3 for PC use. SCP is a much much MUCH better alternative. It takes maybe 5 minutes to install, and it just works.
I know you said PS3, but if you or anyone else is using a PS4 controller, use this - http://ds4windows.com/
It is the SCP drivers in a very easy to install setup, you just click a button and it does all the work for you.
This is one the few games that I'm really glad did as well. There is a bit of a story behind it too, this game wasn't made by a company, it was made entirely by a single person.
In 2011 Eric Barone got his degree in Computer Science. Then started applying for entry level-programming jobs, unfortunately nobody would hire him. I know all too well the stress of that situation because I was in it myself after graduating with a Computer Science degree. Instead for the next four years he spent 10 hours a day 7 days a week creating his first game, Stardew Valley.
I'm a hobbyist game Developer myself, so I found his story very Inspirational :) Very happy his hard work paid off.
For anyone that's interested the game was made in C# using Monogame, which is an open source version implementation of Microsoft's XNA frameowrk, it's known for it's cross platform support. One of the reasons it came for Switch is because Monogame supports Switch development.
To be fair, there was Sprocket League, though they renamed to Sprocket Stadium and adjusted art to avoid being sued.

Am IT guy in server hosting.
This is exactly why actually.
Think of networking like hopping from place to place with a source at one end, the user at the other end.
On PC, Google is the source. Hop from the Google servers in your region, to your state/major area, then to city, then to your neighborhood, to your street, to your house.
On console, it's source is still Google, but actually read from PlayStation/Xbox/etc's servers.
The best option on PC for OP is a VPN. The VPN makes your "house" look like it's actually somewhere else (ie. a VPN endpoint). Iwould recommend NordVPN or PIA.
OP would add 30-80 ping to his connection, but it would be semi playable.
Because when you ping , it isn't pinging the Rocket League servers.
A number of ISPs have difficulty routing through to the Rocket League servers. Unfortunately, these issues are on the ISP side and there's nothing that Psyonix are able to do about it. Well, other than moving to a completely new server provider which would require an awful lot of work.
Things you can try:
Frankly, an xbox controller is a lot more supported throughout other games besides rocket league,
I can try to get you an amazon link.
You can always get one from PowerA
The AmazonBasics one is alright.
For PC:
Download the free, open source OBS Studio: https://obsproject.com/download
Install and run it.
Click File>>Settings>>Hotkeys. Set the Start Recording and Stop Recording hotkeys (I use F7 and F8).
Click Output. Set Encoder to "Hardware (NVENC)" (if you have an nVidia GPU). Set Recording Quality to "Lossless Quality..." if you have a lot of hard drive space, otherwise "Indistinguishable." Note the "Recording Path" as this is where the video will be saved.
Click OK and leave OBS running. Open RL, load the replay, press the button to hide the GUI (B on Xbox controller).
Play the replay and press F7 at the desired time to start recording. Press F8 to stop recording when it's done.
Create an account at http://gfycat.com, sign in and click Upload.
Browse to the video file, then wait forever and a day for it to upload.
This happens because people reuse passwords all the time.
Your password is in a breach, check out https://haveibeenpwned.com/ to see what breaches you're in and stop reusing passwords. Get yourself a password manager and give every account a unique password no matter how unimportant you think it is.
My source is that even now if I check on https://haveibeenpwned.com/ that password remains uncompromised to this day. Yes I did not have 2FA, but I didn't even get a fucking password change or login e-mail from them I just got the my account is blocked because it is compromised e-mail which is fucking stupid.
Don‘t worry my fellow rocket league mate, I gotchu (maybe - in case you play on console, well.. bad news, you‘re out of luck):
It‘s not just for Rocket League or Salty Shores, but do your eyes and your body something good and install flux. Bright blue light at night confuses your body (because it thinks the sun is shining => your body „wakes you up“), makes it harder to sleep afterwards and strains your eyes.
A good side effect is that Salty Shores won‘t give you eye cancer.
It might look weird at first because everything is so orange-y at night, but you‘ll get used to it quickly and it is MUCH more easy on your eyes.
This montage was made even more impressive after seeing how reliably you can do a lot of this stuff! Seriously guys, Haku kicks butt. Like mine the other day. Over and over.
P.S. Thanks for schooling me Haku, the bruises are mostly gone and it was a lot of fun and a nice reminder of just how much I still have to learn.
P.P.S. Shameless Haku plug: https://www.twitch.tv/hakubai check it out!
your car "randomly moving position" sounds like an internet connection issue. when this happens, check your ping on the scoreboard. i've played with bad connection before and the game becomes very jittery. if you have housemates nuking the internet whilst you play, this cant really be avoided.
if your laptop was struggling to run the game, i would expect a constantly poor frame rate. turn on FPS display in steam settings to see your frame rate during the game. also give this a go to test your laptop: http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri
We've looked into the issue with StopDaydreaming's help. Unfortunately it looks like our host (Google) is forced to block access to certain countries for some reason.
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/google-appengine/rNsVV7IOr40
https://code.google.com/p/googleappengine/issues/detail?id=4537
We'll be contacting Google to see if there is something that can be done. Sorry :(
Not OP, but I use OBS for video capture and twitch/youtube streaming. A lot of people use fraps or NVIDIA shadowplay. Then just upload the video to gfycat and it will giffify it.
Hey, I recorded his replay for him. I used OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) with settings for recording.
Looks like this user uses Shadowplay (nvidia), but a lot of people use OpenBroadcaster. There's also the xbox-app in windows which can record software if you don't want to install anything.
Saving replays and then recording it is easier though, then you can change the angels. :)
I use OBS, with specialized local recording settings I stumbled upon here -
https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/how-to-make-high-quality-local-recordings.16/
The only thing I changed was the FPS of recording to 120, because my computer can handle it =) I record at 1280x720, 120fps, and usually end up with around 50mb original files, which come down to anywhere from 15mb-25mb on Gfycat after processing. Hope this helps =)
Bug or Glitch: Seems after this update, ocket league is now forcing using steam's input settings instead of the built-in options. Haven't some serious problems with it. For one, pressing my Boost button doesn't always activate boost. For example, mid-game, I'll hold down the boost button and nothing happens. Same thing is happening with Jump.
Other buttons are also straight up not working at all.
I have Air Roll Left bound to L3, but this flat out doesn't work. Air Roll Right bound to the exact same button works just fine.
Skip Replay is bound to X, yet this flat out doesn't work either, but instead Square skips the replay, which is bound to Jump.
Common denominator here appears to be multi-function buttons. Everything was working just fine before the update using rocket leagues built-in controller settings. Now that it's using steams, I'm have all these problems.
Platform: Steam
Evidence: Not sure how to provide evidence here.
Logs: Here's the log of when the above happened (I think this is the one, its the earlier log of today): https://hastebin.com/oleyamutak
The most common way accounts get compromised is password re-use. Check haveibeenpwned to see if your credentials have been part of any of the big account leaks. It's a legitimate site, but of course feel free to look into it on your own before using it. Anyway, don't re-use creds and set up 2 factor authentication (called "steam guard" in Steam's case) whenever it's available. Hope that helps, sorry your lost your stuff. :(
You keep arguing with points about bandwidth. This is not a bandwidth problem, this is a routing problem. Backbone routing is like a series of toll roads. All this service is doing is taking the more expensive and shorter toll roads.
This has nothing to do with net neutrality and does not raise any new barrier to entry. If anything it creates a competitive market for low latency routing where there is none. Right now the default routing is dominated by what is good for streaming, not for gaming, due to the sheer difference in volume.
Riot implemented a similar solution in-house for this a couple years ago. Network Next just wants to be a generic service that accomplishes the same objective and is available to anyone who would find that service useful.
Check out Riot's slides here from SRECon: https://www.slideshare.net/AdamComerford/srecon-eu-2016-riot-games-vs-the-internet Or check out their blog posts about it here: https://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/news/riot-games/editorial/riot-engineering-lol-vs-real-time-internet-pt-ii
My advice for everyone in this thread: have a budget.
It takes me approximately 4 seconds to find out how much I can afford to spend on keys this month, at the cost of a tiny amount of administration every week, and I don't ever have to worry that I've overspent. It's mighty relaxing.
If you don't know shit about budgeting (you probably don't, even if you think you do), start with YNAB.
That said, I don't plan to ever add up what I've spent on keys. I don't want to know.
These post are so great Dirkened! All these paragraphs and information is really nice to read! =D
btw Jay in our team streams on this link if you would like to add his stream to his name
Might I suggest you look up the definition of talent.
Being naturally gifted at ball-handling or naturally blessed with the right physique gives the same result: You are at an advantage from birth. That's talent. Some have it, some don't. We can't all be NBA players.
"You can be whatever you want to be." is a white lie we feed to young children. Kids realise it's bullshit at PE when it's always the same kids being picked last at dodge ball. Or the first time the class gets a math test. We all have different skill sets and that's fine. We CAN'T be whatever we want to be.
No idea why this childlike naivety gets reintroduced in later life in eSports. We can't all be pro gamers and astronauts.
Here's my trusty copy pasta. Queue a bunch of games on your region of choice, and you'll end up with a bunch of server IPs in your game log. You'll have to exhaustively collect each one though if you wanted to see all the current servers, but you don't need all of them for this. One will do if it shows a problem in your ISP's systems. So as long as you log one game where you're experiencing the problems you describe, that should do it.
Copy pasta:
You can look up the server IP address in the game log and use that to run a traceroute with PingPlotter or WinMTR. It will show where the ping jump happens, or packet loss if you're having problems with that.
The game log is located in Documents\My Games\Rocket League\TAGame\Logs. Launch.log is the latest. Earlier ones are renamed with a timestamp. When you run into a problematic server, immediately exit after finishing the game; this is to make sure the last server entry in the log is the one you want. Search for "GameURL" backwards from the end of the log. You'll see something like this:
BeaconURL="35.214.218.89:8175",PingURL="35.214.218.89:8175",GameURL="35.214.218.89:8174"
In this case the IP address is 35.214.218.89. The other number behind the colon is the port number; we don't need that (or the colon).
Take the IP address and input it in PingPlotter or WinMTR. Let it run for at least 15 minutes (900 packets sent) so you get a nice sample. You'll see a list of nodes with associated latency (ping) and packet loss. If the problem starts near the end of the list, DM the result to one of Psyonix' representatives here or contact their tech support. If near the beginning, contact your ISP. If it's somewhere in between, cross your fingers, pray, sacrifice a goat and wait.
Since you've checked your server region, the below might help you locate the problem:
(But please people stop thinking bandwidth and latency have anything to do with each other.)

If you download Reddit Enhancement Suite, an extension available for all browsers, you can disable subreddit themes. You can download the extension here. It has a bunch of other cool features as well.
Speedrunner here. LiveSplit is a great tool not only for tracking your timing in general and logging if it's a best time, but you can even start splitting out multiple training modes. For example, you can set up a speed run through all the all star trainings and create a "split" (or timed segment) for each one. Seeing tangible progress is fantastically addictive and I'm glad you've found what I find joyful about grinding out best times in the various games I run.
I have the exact same problem and came here hoping someone would have a fix for it. I think we might need a third party driver or something for the controller, Steam handled that internally before but now I guess it's changed.
*edit - I installed DS4Windows and it fixed the problem
Sorry but it's not Psyonix. The cubes mean you are having packet loss. It doesn't matter how fast your connection or ping are, packet loss has nothing to do with it. You are losing information somewhere between you and your internet provider.
I'll use a traffic analogy that helped me understand. Imagine your internet speed is the speed of cars flying down a 2 way highway. Each car driving away from you is a packet of information getting sent to your internet provider, and every car coming towards you is a packet of information coming from your internet provider. Now imagine one of those cars just flies off the shoulder and crashes. The other cars can just maintain speed and keep traveling, hence why your internet speed stays fast. But that crashed car will never get to you. The information in that crashed car can be something like "Ball position moves 20 inches left", but you will never receive that information, hence why the ball will skip around the screen.
Packet loss usually shows in a percentage. If you download the speed test app you can go into further detail to find out how bad your packet loss is. I would suggest contacting your internet provider to get it fixed, it could be an interference problem somewhere in their lines or in your house.
What server region(s) do you play on?
I recommend for you to download "WinMTR". It's a program that lets you run tests on the route to see average latency, latency variance, and packet loss. To use it, you just put in the server IP you want to test and let it run for like 5-15 minutes. Here is where you can download it.
If you play on US-W, I have some Rocket League server IPs logged that you can use:
104.16.81.239
162.245.206.69
209.191.164.23
162.245.206.19
162.245.206.63
162.245.206.27
209.191.164.28
162.245.206.60
172.106.126.50
69.88.156.68
172.106.117.114
If you don't play on US-W, you can download "Wireshark" from here to track packets received and sent to find server IPs.
Anyway, run the WinMTR test for about 5-15 minutes and screenshot the results.
Speaking of Linux ports, I hope more games take advantage of the new Vulkan API that is to replace DirectX. It'll make ports no longer necessary and will be released across all platforms at the same time.
Depends where in EU?
Use this: time zone converter tool.
Use autohotkey.
Check for blinking window like this: https://autohotkey.com/board/topic/36510-detect-flashingblinking-window-on-taskbar/
Only check for rocket league window title
When yes, make that window active

Collector's Edition is $19.99 on Amazon. I don't know where else it's available to pre-purchase right now for $29.99 on PC.
$40 maybe. Especially for picture disks. The new Swans album is a triple LP and it's $31 on Amazon right now.
Has everybody read the answer to the first question on the Amazon link?

> Q: Will it save me from drowning?
A: You'll drown, but the ball will free from your corpse's grasp and float to the surface safely. What a save!
amazon has some adapters available that plug straight in to the dock usb port. They also make a USB2.0 to USB-C dongle to plug in to the handheld unit but idk why you'd ever want to do that. The main advantages of an xbox controller compared to switch is that switch triggers are binary, where as xbox triggers are analog. This gives you more throttle control.
This is from UK Amazon so you should have no problem activating it:
First thing's first, make sure you're using a cabled connection because Wi-Fi is notoriously shit on this game.
However, this is likely a routing issue with your ISP's connection to the RL servers. I would suggest changing your DNS Settings to Google's PublicDNS. (You can search how to do this if you're unsure).
Something you could do which is likely to improve your connection is to try using a VPN or Outfox.
A VPN will reroute all your network traffic via another method and you can often see an improvement. I'd recommend ExpressVPN for this, I believe they offer a free trial.
Outfox is kind of similar except it finds the best routing through to the servers you're connecting to and it does this exclusively for your gaming traffic as opposed to the VPN which will do it for all your network traffic. I believe they also offer a free trial.
Some things to try.
Hi there redditor,
Wi-Fi is never the best method. Would recommend cables or if that isn't an option, perhaps some high-quality Powerline Adapters (don't cheap out on them).
Other issues can be down to your ISP's routing through to some of the Rocket League servers. If it's happening on every game, chances are it's your connection, if it's happening on occasional games, it's more likely the routing issue. There are certain IP addresses that you can block through your Firewall which resolve the issue but they increase queue times.
One other thing you can do is download a trial of Outfox which routes all your gaming traffic through the best route to the server which a lot of people have had good experiences with.
Alternatively, a VPN may provide this same service but would do it for all your network traffic rather than just your gaming traffic. ExpressVPN is one I'd recommend as it sorted out my friend's connection.
You're welcome
Another Redditor.
If you have iOS, I don't think you can do it.
But, if you have Android then you can just download this app to do it.
You need to use Kustom Live Wallpaper for the home screen, and Kustom Widget Maker for the lockscreen widget. However, you can only load premade setups with the paid versions. If you are at all interested in customizing your Android devices, I would definitely recommend you check them out.
here's links to the free versions:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.kustom.wallpaper
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.kustom.widget
/r/kustom
I loved that game so much. There is an Android version of it now if anyone is interested :)
There is a paid version too. I think it unlocks more tracks and stuff like that.
Most people with Nvidia cards use Shadowplay. Lots of people including myself use OBS (Open Broadcast Software).
Once you've got a video file saved, then you can just upload it to gfycat.
What PC do you have? I heard of issues with running the tool on laptops, but if you have a desktop, there should be no problems. I myself have a pretty low-end PC and it works just fine. Basically it's just an OBS -- if the original OBS works well on your system, then Gfycatster should as well. If not -- unfortunatelly there's nothing I can do.
The reason your recording is having "choppiness" might be due to your Hard drives write speed not being fast enough.
I would not suggest using an SSD for recording as it is really wears out quickly VS a standard HDD.
I ran into the same issue a while back, but found the solution when using shadowplay. I know you don't have an Nvidia card, but perhaps look for alternatives when it comes to recording software OR try recording at 720p 60fps.
If OBS is your software of choice then I would suggest looking here for more information.
I've dumped some 250 hours (or so says my flag) since July and I still haven't gotten one of these.
By the way, consider trying out OBS! Free and just as powerful as fraps, plus no silly watermarks!
If you go into Windows Device Manager and check out the "advanced settings" for your wireless adapter you may be able to play with some of the settings in there to improve your connection. I'd make sure the Bluetooth collaboration is enabled but if you're desperate you can try tweaking all kinds of stuff based on what is available with your specific device:
>Highest ranks(Champion level), I'm guessing you just have people having fun and being good at the game.
With people like Calamite in the champion+ ranks, I'm gonna have to disagree... https://www.twitch.tv/ashketchumrl/v/61241925?t=02h03m30s
Try this link on ur laptop, it will tell u if it meets the minimum system requirements:
http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/requirements/rocket-league/12743
Running the mod shouldnt be a problem i think
You mean something like THIS?
https://trello.com/b/Zvwaxn2z/unofficial-rl-companion-app
I'll be doing public testing soon(tm). You can sign up already but I'll be doing some more testing + clearing licensing stuff first.

Great site. Though I'm not sure on the Intel Graphics Card. Rocket League used to be free for a week, that's when my friend tested it. Maybe they'll do it again. But not soon I guess.
Huzzah! This site shows the minimum and recommended requirements of most games, and if you download their program which uses java, it'll read your settings automatically and decide if you can run it or not. Of course, this isn't 100% accurate, but it's worked for me on 90% of the games I bought when my computer wasn't great.
Edit: Just looked at the requirements for F1 2015 and it looks like it's a lot harder to run then Rocket League, so you should be fine.
You can head over to the steam page and compare the system requirements to what your laptop has or if you don't mind running java stuff you can just visit canyourunit
It was the final of the Rocket League Central Pro League. You can watch the VOD of the last few matches (where the most exciting stuff happens) of the BO9 series here:
https://www.twitch.tv/rocketleaguecentral/v/52847100
You can watch the first matches too, but they are fragmented between short VODs, because the stream died multiple times during the playoffs.
Enjoyed watching your self-setups off the wall. Gave me some new ideas. Try using OBS for free video capture without the watermark.
Wow that sounded like blog bot spam. Sorry. Not a bot.
I got it from Ali Express, there are lots of other good ones on there. As it is likely an import, I would be careful hoping to get it before Christmas :)
There's apps like Navmii which don't need any data while you're out, which might work ok, again depending on where you are in the world. Always worth having a look at before spending big cash on GPS if you're strapped for cash.

May not be good enough for a delivery job though.
Laptop...no
Buy a nice refurb from somewhere for a few hundred bucks and drop a half decent video card in it.
And a GPU from here http://www.evga.com/Products/ProductList.aspx?type=8
Free upgrade to Win 10 and you're all set for under 500
What laptop do you have? Minimum spec for gpu is Nvidia 8800 or ATI 2900. It's likely you don't have a discrete GPU and are only on the integrated gpu.
You can verify this by going to
http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri
Select Rocket League and run the app and it will detect your hardware and tell you if you meet minimum spec
> Check out OBS. It's open sourced and free. It's a tiny bit tougher to set up than things like FRAPS, but it's allows you to control compression and graphics and all kinds of neat things.
If you need any help setting it up, let me know.
