I (mainly) use Boost. It was the first app that felt right to me! So, I feel unsatisfied with the rest.
Official app has limited customization options. Most unofficial app has some unique features to distinguish it from the pack. Boost is highly customizable; Joey is optimized for some popular subreddits; Relay has a very interesting UI; RedReader is very minimal; etc.

Boost for reddit, my reddit client of choice, just got a huge update in the beta channel and it's absolutely great!
To italicize, put an asterisk before and after the text you want in italics. Ex: * words * but without spaces between the letter and asterisk will show words
To show bold, do the same thing but with 2 asterisks before and after the text you want in bold. Ex: ** words ** but without spaces between the letter and asterisks will show words
To >quote
Put a ">" before the text you want to quote. Ex: >quoted words will show

Everything you type will be in quote mode until you make a new paragraph. It is possible to italicize and bold inside of quotes
Some Android clients have cool little toolbars that pop up over your keyboard for italics, bolding, quoting, adding links, and previewing what your about to post. I use Boost for Reddit. iOS might have clients that do this as well but I never tried anything on there besides the official app

The app that made me fall in love with reddit. I've not used reddit on PC much, but this app pretty much made me check in everyday.
Everything about its UX, UI and features feels great on mobile.
I've tried the other clients and the official app, but nothing comes close to this app.

Boost For Reddit is an extremely well made Reddit app, I used almost all the ones out there and I kept coming back to Boost. The dev (u/rmayayo) also listens to the community and keeps everyone in the loop about what's going on. 10/10

Boost is a pretty great option!
It's not the same as Apollo, but it is a great Reddit app for Android that follows the material design convention pretty well. It's also hugely customizable. Takes some getting used to, but it's the best I've found.
I use a a reddit app called boost. Solid features, multi account, auto formatting options, and a little button that gives you a list of ascii and copy pasta images such as these ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ¯_(ツ)_/¯ (╯°□°）╯︵ ┻━┻ ಠ╭╮ಠ and many more at the click of one button. I've been using Bacon Reader premium for Reddit for ages and was looking for something more, Bacon Reader is good and easy to use but lacks customisation, I installed Boost for Reddit and it's brilliant.
No doubt it's been highlighted on here before but thought I'd share the love.

Regardless though, came here to say this - Android is a MUCH better platform when it comes to Reddit apps, ignore the one made by Reddit, there's such an incredible selection on Android. As Plucky mentioned, there are 4-5 incredible Reddit apps on Android.

I'm the developer of Boost for reddit. My main motivation was to learn Android programming. I decided to do something related to reddit cause doing a big app forces you to use (and learn) many features from the android sdk. My background is telecommunication engineering but I've been always interested in android programming, so I started the app in my free time when I got home after work. After several months the app was published in february 2016 and people seemed to like it. It was amazing and I am very thankful for all the support that I receive from users. This project has been fun and exciting (and overwhelming at times) but totally worth it!
Try using Boost for Reddit. It's a rather great app. So much customization and themes that look good that can be customized rather extensively.
If we're suggesting new apps, I've been using "Boost for Reddit" (play store link if you're on android) for years now after I saw a redditor created it.
If you are using the mobile app, then I can assure that there must be some problem with the app itself. Use their website / if you want to use it on your mobile then try 3rd party apps like Boost for Reddit.
It is the best layout and best way to consume Reddit on a Chromebook. If you need to use an app (not sure why you would), then Boost is the way to go.

Reddit app: Try them all, and keep trying them. You'll find that many of them are pretty good. There is no best one. (But Boost is best.)

I've been using several different Reddit apps over the last few years, but have always ended up going back to Sync... Until now.
Boost seems like it has everything you could ever want in a Reddit app, and it for sure is the only one that's ever been able to uproot Sync as my daily driver.

Não sei todas as funções do Apollo, mas no Boost eu acho muito útil o editor - dá pra salvar rascunho das respostas, ver o preview, fazer upload de imagens automaticamente pro imgur, quotar o texto até dos posts (o oficial não dá)-, alternar o modo de visualização, alternar entre contas e é bem personalizável.
cummybot was programed to copy the text feild and paste as a comment. Because the pasta is in the title, cummybot doesn't work. I would reccomended Boost for reddit, since it lets you copy post text.

Ich finde das Redesign prinzipiell nicht schlecht, allerdings hat es ein paar Macken, die mich stören. Am meisten nervt mich, dass Kommentare in so einer Art Overlay geladen werden (welches dann auch beim Scrollen irgendwie ruckelt bzw. nur verzögert scrollt) statt als komplette Seite. Das lässt sich nur umgehen, wenn man sie in einem neuen Tab öffnet, aber das will ich nicht bei jedem Link machen. Wäre schön, wenn man dieses Verhalten in den Einstellungen selbst bestimmen könnte.
I recommend boost for reddit, because of its extensive options for customizing and theming. But there's a ton of great reddit clients that do the job better than the default one.

I recommend switching to Boost for reddit. It has an AMOLED black theme, is extremely customizable, and can be configured so that no element stays in one spot permanently. For the amount of time you spend on Reddit, it's well worth the $2 to remove ads for the superior Reddit app.

How so? Boost has a higher Play Store rating than Sync and looks to be pretty slick, but I’m not going to make the switch unless there are compelling reasons to do so.
This app has come a long way in a short amount of time. I remember when this app was first posted here when it was in beta. Since then, the dev has added loads of requested features and really fleshed out the app. I highly recommend it.

I feel for you. I find that I don't run into that issue if I use the Reddit app or the third-party "Boost" app. You can consider those a try to possibly improve your quality of life whilst using Reddit on a phone.

Basically, everything made by the official team for Reddit, other than the API which lets things like this exist, is terrible.
So you should always choose third-party apps and browser extensions.
I use this one Boost For Reddit as my primary the only thing missing is a good comment tab.
I paid the $2.50 for no advertisements it was worth it especially since you get all the features of desktop.

I've tried them all, and my favorite reddit app has been Boost for a while now. It's very nicely polished and highly customizable.
Honestly, I wouldn't be able to tell you. Updates once or twice a week with a changelog of over 8-10 things each time. It started off with a fluid scrolling experience but was missing features, now I feel it has actually left Relay behind in many areas... It's worth just trying and removing if you don't like it or keeping if you do...
It's currently in Beta and is very new, but already testers were asking for an ad-free Pro version...
You can log into Reddit from your web browser (probably Chrome) and enable desktop view so it turns into the PC version of Reddit. Alternatively, you can use apps like Boost for Reddit which already contain all the features of PC reddit in a mobile app

Some third party clients (like the one I use, Boost for reddit) have that feature, but the standard Reddit app doesn't support flair changes (yet)
Triglycerides can sometimes be momentarily elevated. If someone who usually has healthy levels gets a blood test after a weekend of heavy drinking, they might be high. Or after a rather excessive Sunday dinner. I once tested normal for cholesterol, but high for triglycerides the day after a half marathon and a post-race meal of fries, burgers, and beers. A month later, my levels were normal, and have been normal in the tests since then.

Boost has got to be probably the best Reddit client I've ever used. I'm pretty picky when it comes to browsing Reddit because efficiency is everything to me and with all the customization and UI tweaks Boost has to offer, you can make this app look exactly how you want it to. I used baconreader for many years but I've recently switched over to Boost.
It feels a lot like the way I had baconreader setup but with some additional improvements.
I'm on mobile 100% of the time, so I use an app called Boost for Reddit. Not the best name but it's definitely the best andriod app for reddit Imo. Anyway it has an advanced comment button and you can click that then hit the new smiley face button and there's a few popular faces to choose. They'll be adding more in the future.
On desktop I assume most people copy and paste rather than learn the alt codes

If you use it mostly for including pictures in your Reddit posts, then you might want to try out Boost for Reddit which lets you upload pictures to Imgur and directly include them in your posts. (other Reddit apps probably can do this too)

It's an embarrassment of riches. There are many excellent clients. Find the one that works best for you.
I'm currently using Boost since it works best for me. I still go back to Reddit is Fun occasionally, having used it for years. And I periodically install the others to see where the developers have brought their apps.

If you use Reddit Enhancement Suite or any of the Android apps (like Boost for Reddit) then you can set filters. I've filtered everything that is labelled [shitpost] or similar. Works pretty well.
I was a RedditIsFun fan for years, and would occasionally try out the other clients to see what they had to offer. Boost was the first reddit client that actually got me to switch for more than a week. I've been using Boost for months.
The thing with these clients is that they are all very similar at this point. Just try them all out. Give each one a few days and make sure you tweak the settings to your liking. I'm not sold on the claims that one client is better than the rest. It all depends on how you consume reddit. Sync seems to be the most popular, but it is one of my least favorites.

You can filter anything, subReddits, keywords, users, quickly and easily while browsing past, don't even need to go into settings to do so if you don't want. It's a huge difference once you remove meme, anime, crypto, the users that moderate hundreds of subs, and whatever game it is that young teenagers after playing this week.
And I would recommend almost any unofficial app over it. Like boost.
Sometimes the most popular option just doesn't work for me. And in those cases, I try to get the word out on the alternative apps that I use. The more people use these apps, the better chance some will buy them and support the development, ensuring that it will continue to be maintained.
Boost for Reddit - I prefer this over the more popular Sync because I can get it to look the way I want it to (unlike Sync). Boost also has some features that Sync does not have.
TickTick - far less popular than Todoist, but for me - far more useful. It just complements my workflow, and I'm not sure how I could work without it.
Join - I was an early adopter after leaving the popular Pushbullet. Join does what I want it to do (and more), and I find it more useful than the more-expensive Pushbullet.
MacroDroid - I had been a Tasker user for years, but recently tried MacroDroid. It does everything I was using Tasker for, and it just happens to fix most of my issues I was having with bluetooth and media play actions sent from my car.

New Reddit app that quickly became everything I've ever wanted. Highly recommended.

- Boost because it's my favourite reddit app
- Formula 1 because I can't watch Formula One without Live Timing anymore. (the commentators here on TV are useless, with Live Timing I can analyse the race myself)
- Google Opinion Rewards for obvious reasons
- Landrule because I love playing Risk (it also has an online multiplayer mode)
- Nova Launcher Prime is the first app I'll install on any new phone
- Opera is my browser of choice both on desktop and on my phone. (and I can sync bookmarks and stuff between devices which is neat)
- Retro Music is a nice looking music player
- Tangorin is the only Japanese-English dictionary app that I've found where the Kanji stroke order can be viewed at one glance (example) instead of having some sort of GIF where I have to wait until the Kanji ist drawn in front of me. Hasn't been updated in years but works great.
- WhatsApp and Telegram because in my country nobody writes SMS anymore
- VLC because it's free and has gesture controls
- Google Photos for backing up my photos
- GBoard if it isn't installed already
Boost for Reddit was released a few days ago, with a huge amount of attention and a lot of positive reviews. Has a few quirks and lacks, but all in all I gotta say that it's a buttery smooth, pleasant Reddit experience. I'm anxious to see what the price of the ad-free version will be, and excited to see what the future will bring for this app. It has a beta channel that you can submit to, if you're into that sort of thing.

Boost for Reddit: I tried Slide ad free and Sync Pro for months each, eventually came back to Boost.
LastPass: password manager, I pay for family plan to securely share with them. I think the biggest family function is that in an emergency, they can request access to my database, and I gave myself X hours (default 48) to deny that request. The idea is that if I'm unconscious, they can gain access to stuff they might need.
YouTube Vanced + microg (Google it)
Authy: 2fa code generator, convenient if you switch devices or reset a lot. There's even a Chrome app to log in on case you lose your phone.
Solid Explorer: good file manager, paid. It became people's go-to when ES File Explorer went to shit. Another really good one (free) that you have to get from XDA is MiXplorer.
Bxactions: remap Bixby button. I paid for more functionality, which requires hooking the phone up to a computer and running a file.
VLC Player: open source and free. Keeps getting better, almost as good as MX Player.

They don't even support their own spoiler formatting >!like this!< consistently, I doubt they have any plans to add support for other methods to their app. The spoiler method we use is a tweak of link formatting, so you should be able to view the spoiler text by copying the link (I think), or if the quoting feature of the official app will show the source of the comment. I don't use the official app, I think it's missing too many features.
If you're on Android, Boost for Reddit, Reddit is Fun, Relay for Reddit and Sync for Reddit all support the formatting we use here, though Relay doesn't support Reddit's style.

いずれも特定のユーザーが立てたサブミをフィルターアウトすることができる。PCブラウザでのRESのignoreのようにコメントまで隠すクライアントは今のところ見当たらない。あったら教えてください。
Slideはフィルター機能に少しカスタマイズ性があって、他のクライアントだとユーザーNGするとすべてのサブレディットにまで効果が及ぶが、Slideは特定のサブレディット+特定のユーザーをNGするみたいなことができる。オープンソースなのでF-Droidからも入手可能。

Get rid of the official reddit application. It is terrible. Boost for reddit is one of the best for Android.
This thread includes a lot of basics about how to improve the device, debug basics, or get more out of it with things like Youtube Vanced. This can help you find battery draining applications before they get to be a critical issue.
For example, your Essential PH-1 currently plays Youtube videos at 1080p HD after one or more ads. My Essential PH-1 plays Youtube videos in 4K immediately with no ads of any kind in the interface or before videos play. Sound good? It is.
And then you have Boost. It's good too. Can't decide between sync or boost, so I use both.

You can try apollo for ios or boost for android. Apollo is the champ for iOS, but there are several clients for android. I have tried most of them for a length of time and I've settled with boost.
If you're on a desktop or similar, check out RES.
There are ways to filer out with REddit Plus or Premium or Gold or whatever it is.
You’re going to want either Apollo for Reddit for iOS or Boost for reddit for Android.
Android had a lot of good options, Boost is my favorite. Sync for reddit is my second favorite. Plenty of customization, but a little simpler than Boost (yet more options than many other alternatives), with a nice menu UI.
Infinity for Reddit is ad-free for free. I wouldn’t use it, but I know the free ad-free thing is convincing for many. I’ve never actually used this one for longer than a few minutes.
There are many others that are good too, but these are my quick recommendations. I started on Relay, and it’s also good, but it’s a little different.
You have much less choice on iPhone. Slide for Reddit is decent for iPhone and Android.

I've tried most of them, and thanks to Google Rewards, bought 3 that I use regularly to support the devs.
Boost : my current favorite. You can flip a setting to enable click to collapse comment threads.
Relay : currently has a bug where thumbnails stop loading after some time and you have to restart the app. But by far the best usability of the 3 here. I love this app, and once the bug is fixed will happily move back to it.
Sync : another app with great usability, I just wish the thumbnails on the post views were bigger. Still, a very good option.
All of these support clicking to collapse comment threads (which is how I have it set).

The only "bad" thing about these apps is that they have an in-app purchase to remove ads but is a one time purchase to get rid of all the ads and, to be honest, I'll be happy to support something that listens their users and to remove the ads. The one suggested has ads but aren't really invasive like the official reddit app
If you are using a phone it is different. I personally only use my phone when uploading images because the app does all the bullshit that is required and the images are already on my phone.
On a computer you first need to upload the image to https://imgur.com/upload and then link the image either in the post or even in the comments.
If you have an android phone, I personally enjoy using Boost for Reddit.
In boost, when replying to someone there is a button where I can just upload the image and it's done instantly, no copy paste or doing weird stuff.
When posting to /r/Mordheim we now have the option of Text, Image, Link or Video..

Entire app is customisable - theme, text colours etc and different views to change thumbnail size, location etc
Dev is pretty active and always responsive on his sub.
If something gets a lot of requests he will usually add it in one of the next updates or give reasoning on his sub why it can't be added if not
Text posts / comments load super quick. most videos do aswell (except v.redd.it videos, they seem to be slow for me at least)
Cons:
Doesn't get updated as often as other clients - but that being said i think because it's been around for so long it's got most important features already coded in, whereas newer clients will generally have faster updates adding in features boost already has. Also usually when an update is released its pretty big
As mentioned above v.redd.it hosted videos are pretty slow to load a lot of the time - I think this is probably more related to Reddit itself tho not boost

Boost for Reddit has built in user tagging. It does not sync with RES, so you will have to maintain 2 sets of tags. It doesn't bother me too much as after a while the two sets of tags end up being very similar organically anyway.

I'm in the same boat. Reported it (can't get into my apps at all), and got nothing. If you react to notifications it works fine, in my case. I downloaded boost which works well on Android. Bacon Reader is good too, but usually had to reload a couple of times every time.

Hum, sounds like a broken install. I'd reformat the USB and try the install again. The USB tool from microsoft works pretty well, but I prefer downloading the ISO and using RUFUS to burn it. Relay pro is pretty my favourite reddit app, but boost is actually quite decent. It's also nice to see a new (hopefully seriously competitive) reddit app.
The app itself runs smoothly on my phone, I haven't encountered any annoying bugs yet, and a relay user will be familiar with the layout because it's very similar. I also really like the text editor, it's like the one on Relay but a little more refined. The editor lacks live preview, though.
Handling links in-app isn't as good as some other reddit apps and there's no play/pause/replay gifs functionality yet. To replay a gif you need to go back and press it again. Also, I think it some aspects of it need a little more refinement; however, all of that is to be expected from a beta version.
If you're asking me I'd say go download it and test it for yourself. You might really like it, and it might even replace your favourite app.

In that case I'd highly recommend using Boost instead of the Reddit app.
It's super customizable, much less glitchy, and there is even an option to turn on a setting so when you do accidently double click the back button it asks to confirm exiting the app to prevent you from losing your spot.

First Memory ≠ Storage, you are referring to storage (on disk) memory is short term storage (on ram).
If you are using Android you could use the reddit client Boost it's reported as 35mb on my device with 12mb of user data (and 500mb of cache yike). Vanilla reddit is reported on the play store to be 57mb somewhat larger than Boost. While both are small enough to be entirely negligible imo Boost does seem to have an advantage in size. It also I feel has a much better UX as well as being significantly more customizable. For example I can very easily attach images from within the app. You can also see the formatting buttons on the bottom there which scrolls to the left showing some more options.
If you are on iPhone you could use "Apollo" a client which is at the very least on par with Boost from what I've heard.

I highly recommend Boost if you use Android. I was hesitant to use a third-party app at first, but it's honestly so much nicer. So much more customization and videos specifically load better. You can also download videos without having to comment the save video bot. If you're an Apple user I'd recommend Apollo.

I couldn't imagine using Reddit in browser on a mobile. Boost is wonderful in every way.
I use Boost for Reddit (not FOSS AFAIK), its UX is way better than the official app. No idea how it compares to other FOSS alternatives tho as I haven't used any other since I tried out boost.

Sure, I realize my initial comment might have come off a bit rude. Honestly, there are a few I can recommend. Boost is my personal favorite client, but it does come with ads. I've unlocked the pro version years ago, tried basically every other reddit client, but always came back to Boost. Other than that, Infinity is a free, open-source app with a gorgeous design. You might give both a try and see if you like either.

The standard website and the official reddit app don't allow you to filter subreddits from r/all. You'll have to use either a third-party app for your phone. I suggest Boost if you're on Android. For the website, use a browser extension, such as Reddit Enhancement Suite.
Note that these solutions only work per device, and is not saved/synced to your reddit account.

People told you how to format it manually, but also, if you are on PC you can get the Reddit Enhancement Suite browser extension, which among many other things (basically making reddit gold obsolete, cause it adds a ton more functionality), adds a couple buttons and a live preview to your comment window, looking like this. If you are on android, there's apps like Boost and a few others that give you formatting options as buttons, and if you are on an apple device there is Apollo (and I believe a few others again, but that's the most popular one)

It has 4 performance settings - it flies like a brand new phone on max, and your battery would offset the drain. I'm using a 7500m myself.
I'd also recommend rooting with Magisk and getting Edxposed.
As for the reddit app - it's trash. Use the Boost app - I've used all the reddit apps and it's by far the best once you play with the settings:

If you're rooted you can get a modded apk but it's worth going premium if you use reddit often. I've never used the free version so I can't speak for ads or anything but it's fast, intuitive and lots of features.

I can suggest you Boost because I tried few apps and is the only one I like but you should try others too if you want.
The only "bad" thing about these apps is that they have an in-app purchase to remove ads but is a one time purchase to get rid of all the ads and, to be honest, I'll be happy to support something that listens their users and to remove the ads. The one suggested has ads but aren't really invasive like the official reddit app

This is the one I used, never had any issues. The 108mp photos vary in size by quite a large amount though, so it could just be that the particular one you're trying to upload is too big if it still won't work!

With (1,1) being the bottom-left corner of the design, (5,4), (6,5) and (8,5) produce Circuits, (5,2) produces Batteries, (7,4) produces Processors and (7,3) produces Drones.
To produce 1 Drone/second, the final Crafter needs 2 Batteries, 2 Processors and 4 Aluminium Plates. Your design looks like it actually makes 1 Drone/2 seconds, not /4 seconds.

I got it down to a footprint of 6*7, which is good but not able to tesselate into a smaller effective footprint to make 4 Drones/second. This seems to be as good as this module arrangement can be. Unless I'm missing something, this is a dead end in Drone design optimisation.

Have you disabled battery optimization for it and allowed it to run in background? I encountered this issue and had compelled me to use another reddit client called Boost for reddit. The app is good and stays in memory so it doesn't reload everytime I open it.

If just for Reddit, consider using Boost For Reddit. It has multi account built in so you can easily switch between accounts.
It provides the option to change the app to a different user (for subscription, messages, etc) as well as selecting an alternate account when posting or replying.

Switching is really simple. You can even log in to the same account. After tweaking a few settings I find the experience with Boost to be superior to the Official app. Boost is completely free, but I don't know the if Reddit Premium works on that app.

What i love most about this app is if you hit back too many times it will ask if you meant to exit the app. If you back out of a thread just as you saw a comment you wanted to reply to just click thr link again and youll be back in the same spot.
I used Sync for a while, but Boost then got a similarly improved UI, and all of the other non-official android clients say that they'll check your messages inbox, but don't. :x
So Boost comes down to reliability for me.

I don't remember when the developer got around to polishing formatting but it's been solid for a while now. There are some edge case things that don't work perfectly (some unicode black magic fuckery) but for 99% of my usage it's great.
Use whatever you prefer, I just wanted to point out that formatting isn't the bugbear it once was for Android apps.

3.Relay -this is supposedly supposed to be one of the best clients regarding AMAs and media. Haven't ever used it myself, but we'll see.

Next, uninstall anything made by Facebook. Use the Progressive Web Apps (mobile websites) via Brave Browser which is based on Chrome with native blocking built in. That will save you a ton of battery life as the various Facebook apps stop guzzling your battery.
You should also check out different applications for reddit such as Boost for reddit and even Youtube Vanced which removes a lot of crap from Youtube's own app. Ads, restrictions to keep it from running in the background, and a lot more. You even get features like 4K Youtube playback on the Essential PH-1. Without it, you're stuck at 1080p HD.
If you still have problems with battery life after all that, you can a factory reset then restoring from backups. root can help you extend your battery life farther than you can without it, but it isn't necessary to use a lot of the same tools.

First, did you factory reset the phone when you first received it? As in, did you install all updates to it and reset it using the full factory reset instructions found here?

I've noticed you haven't been using post flairs recently. According to recent changes in subreddit procedure, all posts require a post flair in order to be processed and sorted properly. Assigning a post flair also allows you to get help faster, as people will know what exactly you're looking for.
If you are unable to add a post flair via your mobile app of choice, I suggest you use Boost for Reddit.

If you're using the official reddit app, then it's probably a bug (it's a really bad app), or your Android System WebView is not up to date, or some other incompatibility with your phone make/model. I checked all the reddit apps for android and I use "Boost for Reddit" as it's exactly what I needed. Very simple UI with night mode, multis, filters, etc. Give it a try, and if it's not fully what you want, check out some of the other reddit apps.

I used to go with Reddit is fun back in the day, then switched to Readit on Windows, and now I'm back to Android. I decided to cheeck every app in my library to see if things had changed over the time I'd been gone.
Result: Boost was better for me in every aspect, compared to the official app and RiF. Especially the thread layout is great. Probably better than on desktop. It's so easy to follow conversations in that app.

I've set it as "Long press on the toolbar title", but what I am trying to do is a bit different, I want to show it up in single tap and not long press, also can I get rid of that search and only show up the Subreddits, that's exactly why I was giving example of Boost, Relay etc to make it clear. Could check out this reddit app (Boost for reddit). It has filters built in which you can toggle from the settings or on the subreddit page options at the top right.

As an alternative for Todoist I simply use Google Keep. It doesn't require logging in but you do decide to do so i believe it syncs across all of Google's services. So if you set a reminder in Keep, you'll be able to find the same one in Google Calendar

The bug you mention made me look for an alternative, right around the time Boost was released. Switched to Boost. Never looked back.

Boost is my new favorite reader. I've used most of the more popular reddit clients, Relay was my favorite but Boost has surpassed it IMO.
The closest thing I found is called Boost, which looks like a mixture between readit and baconit.

There's no reason to use the official app over third party apps; it's worse than all of them in practically every way.

Yes, I tried a lot of the reddit apps, and the one that works the best on my shitty phone is Boost for reddit Beta. It looks and feels almost exactly like Relay, but it doesn't lag at all. (Unlike Relay, Now and Sync). Reddit is Fun worked good but I like the inline viewer for gifs/videos in Boost.
Also Boost can load stuff without crashing all the time.
By the way, thanks to /u/MiNiMaLHaDeZz I still managed to install the app, and got the 3 months of gold. yay!
You can if you use boost. Long press the post, it pop ups with many options one of them is to filter out the sub. love boost. fuck reddit official app
On your phone, download the youtube video with This website. Then download Boost for reddit and upload the video from it
Boost for Reddit lets you select an image to upload and uploads it to imgur for you as you go.
I've gone as far as uploading a bunch of images through boost, copy and pasting the whole thing to an email for work to have links instead of a huge email of photos.
I am not sure if Reddit Is Fun has this feature.

Edit: You might try deleting an app and checking for spare files. But for that you have to search in root (/) directory. Total Commander for Android allows you to browse it, but not modify, as that's impossible without superuser permissions.
So, there might be a spare APK, or something...

Boost For Reddit has a filter system that's super easy to use. I use it to hide memes.

I don't see anyone mentioning Boost yet so I'm going to give it a shoutout.
It's a bit like BaconReader. I used this for many years but recently had some troubles with it and stumbled on Boost. It feels pretty similar. So far I'm loving it.

Reddit is Fun is still the best Reddit client. I'm really starting to like Boost for Reddit, however, and I suspect this may take over as the #1 spot. And no - Relay is not better. Its unnecessary animations and quirky UI make for too a poor experience.
I've already uninstalled it, but thanks anyway. I'll try it again in a few months, if I haven't found something on par with Alien Blue. (Boost looks promising.)

Just a head's up for r/soccer users: This developer was caught a couple of month ago with injecting his own Amazon affiliate tags to links without announcing it to the users in a 'bug fix' update and without providing a way to disable it! Link to thread exposing that.
That's when I uninstalled Sync and installed Boost, Relay, and Slide instead. After a while I'm mainly using Boost now.
I thought BaconReader had an advanced editor.
