VPNs don't really protect you. Tor doesn't guarantee anonymity either.
It doesn't mean you shouldn't use those, but they're not sufficient, nor even the first step.
You need to:
Most importantly, remember that the weak link is humans, never tech. Three cousin you talk to, the friend who likes what you're doing, the uncle you send an email to with a sentence you also used in an article...
This is from Morningstar and is not an official indicator. Other sites have it stable at the usual exchange rate:

The Lebanese lira is pegged vs. the dollar and the Central Bank will typically indicate any significant fluctuation.
NordVPN is by far the leader of all VPN's right now. I've been using it for years, and none of the other vpn's i tried compared to nord.
Last year we announced release of "Alef: Learn Arabic for Kids" on Android, and a lot of you had asked us to keep them in the loop when the iOS version gets released. Today we're doing just that!
What's unique about the app is that you can choose to teach your kids Arabic in different dialects: Classical Arabic, Egyptian Arabic, Lebanese Arabic, Palestinian Arabic and Syrian Arabic. The app is aimed at kids who are at least a year old.
Let us know what you think of the app, and please share the app with your friends and family.

Yes.
I have purchased a domain name, and use one of the cloud providers to host it (not naming which for security purposes). I have a cron job running on the rpi that finds my home’s current public IP address and then updates the public DNS record with it. This way I always have a domain name pointing to my home.
Additionally, I have it running double-duty as a backup for my home server. It has another cron job that runs rsync over ssh to copy files from my server on a weekly basis and store them on an external USB hard drive.
Why is this important? Because my file server is in the US and the rpi backup is in Leb. The DNS is so the sites can find each other. So no matter which country I’m in I have local access to my files, and I can always VPN to my home whenever I’m out.
Edit: OH, almost forgot; Netflix has recently implemented anti-VPN, so they detect if you’re on a VPN by comparing your IP to a list of IPs that belong to public VPN services (ExpressVPN, etc). Since I can VPN to my home in the US, I can still get around the content block because as far as they’re concerned it’s my own private IP.
I've recently started playing Chess again. It helps that a few of my frienda also like to play, so we play online, but I also enjoy playing against random people. We can play a few matches if you want (I'm not a very good player, but I enjoy playing).
Here is a good free app with a lot of features:
no apparently it's tyre! The book is called Bet you didn't know this about Beirut (https://www.amazon.com/Didnt-Know-This-About-Beirut/dp/9953019266) such a cool book! On a side note, I can't fucking believe it's cheaper on amazon than in Lebanon lol. I saw it at the airport for 20USD while on amazon it's 9.90 USD.
Here goes the Book ! Should you need any help, please let me know. Cheers !
It's cheaper to buy everything from North or South (suburbs of Tripoli or Saida). The exact same item is sometimes double or triple the price in Beirut, so I know a lot of people that purchase all the groceries from outside Beirut even though they live in Beirut.
At the end of the day, if you want to save money, you have to learn how to budget properly. I suggest you take a look at Mint or YNAB
If you want more resources. There's an app that shows all the lists/candidates. I haven't tried it, but it claims that you can communicate with the candidates.
Hello there! You have about 4 options: 1)Try to contact Alfa and explain your case, hopefully they'll understand your needs. 3) Get something like this, I know it could take time but it could be worth it since all you need is a new mobile phone line (sim card) with internet access to keep tracking. I think this is how the Alfa thingy works. 3)Maye go for a cheap android phone , use a sim with working mobile data access and download tracking apps like My Family. You can get phone straps too maybe if you want your father to lose the phone. I don't think that battery would be an issue since you'll only use it for tracking. 4) Also you can go for a normal gps tracker to stick it on family cars maybe for supplementary safety measures. It also needs a sim card. I wish you the best of luck in finding what you need and I sincerely wish that your father stays safe! :) Have a nice evening.
The interest levels claimed are 1.5% daily, and 15% daily for referrals. If you convert these to yearly interest rates, it is abundantly clear that this is a massive scam.
1.5% compounding interest per day = 22 814% per year
15% compounding interest per day = 1427945818633144671930284% interest per year (or double your money every 5 days) lmao
The site doesn't seem to be Lebanese or specifically geared towards the Lebanese market. The Lebanese on average may be more aggressive in investing in crypto because of our broken banking system. I'm sure you'll hear about it elsewhere soon. Surprizingly TrustPilot has no reviews about them yet: https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.binancesfund.com
They must be very new.
This is fine advice, but solving problems on hackerrank, leetcode or codechef isn't going to get OP a job especially if OP didn't do any project at all.
My advice is to do projects, follow https://www.freecodecamp.org/ and do the projects to get the certificate in the end.
Stripe has a service called Atlas where they can incorporate your company in the states starting at $500. There are additional services like open accounts, tax filings etc.
If you don't know, Stripe is a leading payment processer (a competitor to Paypal and 100x better).
Lebanese from the U.S. here: f you have an android phone, I recommend getting the Tachiyomi app; it has some sources within the app that you can add in order to read manga. It's how I've been reading One Piece right now.
Ooh, I also seem to have a bit of a lead here. There's this book, with a very long title, but the first part of that title is indeed "The Face of Lebanon", and the author is given as "Būlus Fāris Būlus".
The full title awkwardly translates to something like "The Face of Lebanon in its cultural and academic and touristic and economic and social features - and in defining its natural and human and social potential in about 531 Lebanese villages and towns, in the numbers and symbols that reflect them"
That sound like the right kind of thing? :P
Edit: this seems to be the same book, and this link includes a few libraries that hold copies of it. Also if you're a university student your institutional log-in may give you access to a digital copy, it seems.
Jounieh isn't that far but the traffic is terrible. I don't blame you for not wanting to drive though - I don't touch my car unless I'm absolutely forced to use it.
Staying for more than a month and not travelling solo? You've got Al-Waseet. Be prepared to fork over a security deposit that's probably going to cost the same amount as next month's rent - expect 1/5 of it to disappear. You can probably find studios or rooms for rent too.
If you're staying for less than a month check out AirBnB, I recall there being plenty of choices around Beirut - Overpriced, but you get to pay per day. I don't know how they are compared to an economy hotel though.
Alternatively, if you really just want a bed at the end of the day - get a family member to book you a dorm (foyer?) room. Hamra is filled with them, and Achrafiyeh has its fair share too.
Guys, please take some time to actually read the guide, as the components prices are listed there. Prices varies depending on your needs and the efficiency of your system. Also shipping plays a role.
Roughly speaking, solar panels alone, with 200W would cost around 339$ (not including shipping to Lebanon). That's less than 1.5$/Watt.
Keep in mind that, this is on the "pricey side" too. With enough research you can reduce that, especially if you consider chinese online retailers (again links included in the actual guide above).
If you also source batteries locally, and recycle some other material you can save up more.
I would estimate the total would be less than 3000$ for a 1kWh system (this is rough upper bound estimation).
> it will definitely cost over 8000$
I disagree. It depends how much kWh do you spend per day. But it's absolutely less, with basic spending. I'm not sure how much shipping to Lebanon will cost, but with less than 3000$ you can build a system that provides at least 1 kWh (understandably not much but enough for basic needs). And it can scale cheaply too.
Keep in mind that prices of solar panels are going down, thanks to chinese online retailers. This affects efficiency too. There are lots of factors that goes into the build price of your solar system.
Even on amazon, you can get 1.5 USD/Watt for solar panel with a 20A controller, and that's on the pricey side too.
Also batteries play a big role in the price estimation, and they can be provided locally or recycled. So there is lots of room for saving.
> but Canada is still not what I would describe as a violent place
....which was my whole point. come back in 50 years when those minorities are more "comfortable" and start pushing for changes. which is what we are witnessing in france for example, which has the highest muslim population in europe. things are very much boiling there.
a woman was prevented to enter a supermarket yesterday because she wore short clothing from the security at the door. it was trending all over twitter.
in france.
more good things to come.
and for your own education on why the future is not multiculturalism, i offer you to read: https://www.amazon.fr/Surviving-Future-Culture-Carnival-Aftermath-ebook/dp/B01JMXA1ZO/ref=pd_rhf_gw_p_img_12?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=0ZEDJ690D616M37WVCYW
the author explains why the future is in anti-globalism and anti-multiculturalism in the age of climate change and sustainability.
NordVPN has servers in Israel which is pretty close to Lebanon so in theory you should be getting adequate speeds. Others have mentioned that it might still be throttled by your ISP because they know when you're using a vpn, they just don't know what exactly you're doing.
Check medsforlebanon they are sending meds from France. You need a prescription. Here is the form. You should also donate to them the cost of the meds as they are short on funds to help patients. donation link

definitely not intercon... could be 4 seasons.. im guessing somewhere in this region
Go to Coursera and Edx. They have so many university-level courses that are completely free, especially computer science and programming.
Good luck!

Yatik el afyeh Walrus for your work on the wiki.
u/Slaydog, I'll compile a list of juicy comment recs on previous threads for updates.
Problem: - Wiki needs more exposure.
Solution: - Market the wiki better in the sidebar. The wiki tab is linked, but it should be made more clear that the wiki is where to go first. r/Egypt has a sexy sidebar format with a direct link to a reasonable travel warning. Lebanon has a wikitravel page with its own travel warning at the top (and tons of travel info similar to what we have in our sub's wiki). A link to this would be good to have in the sidebar. - Possibly have a message before a user submits a post or even a large note in the header, etc. making it clear that those seeking travel and safety info should go to the wiki first and possibly post their questions to the Random/Shitpost thread if that's where we want their questions to go.
Problem: - Removing all of these posts will require more modpower and a change to the rules. No matter how well-directed people are to the appropriate information, they will still want travel reassurance from users.
Solution: - I took a look at other subs to see how they deal with this. r/Cuba has a stickied (not automated) thread at the top titled "Are you going to Cuba? Ask travel-related questions here", and r/Ireland has a stickied (non-automated) thread at the top titled "/r/Ireland Psa - Need Tourist Or Citizenship Info? Please Read This Before Posting To /r/Ireland!". Even mobile users can't miss these stickied threads. Something to consider.
>How fast is your Fiber one? Download/upload speed.
I got 22Mbps on fast.com, on ookla I got 66Mbps for downloads and 19Mbps for uploads.
Regarding the electricity, we have a UPS that lasts around 7 hours with 2 pcs and the router attached to it.
But here's a bunch of copies anyway for you to make up your own mind. Let me know if you need any book recommendations down the line.
There is no catch with EntroPay, you can close your account whenever you want, withdraw the money back to your debit card...etc.
Just refer to the fees page, it will mitigate all of your concerns.
I used a random address in California, my EntroPay card and a U.S phone # from a free app called burner to create my paypal account.
I've been using EntroPay for a year now, I created a paypal account with it and have purchased products from ebay.
There are no hidden charges, just these fees.
If you've done your research it's cool. Just don't forget that whenever you want your money from a third party gateway, a transfer fee and %fee applies as well.
Anywhoo, Skrill works in all countries except the following: https://www.skrill.com/en/footer/terms-conditions/non-serviced-countries/
So check whichever serves you better. But yeah, its totally fine to use them here (:
Looks shady and weird but it's just a free website hosted by Google.
https://www.google.com/business/website-builder/
It's sad that our institutions have to improvise with zero budget to do these kinds of things.
The only lebanese content that you would be able to stream to the chrome cast are off youtube.
If you want live channels look into a program called kodi https://kodi.tv/, and install this plugin https://seo-michael.co.uk/how-to-install-phoenix-for-xbmc/
It has all the lebanese channels live
You are flat out wrong buddy. Hope wiki is a reliable enough source for you, otherwise you can do your own research.
FYI It can still do shady shit even if you deny those permissions. Check out an app called Exodus Privacy. It tells you what kind of trackers and what kind of data each app on your phone has access to. You might be surprised.
I have no idea what Nabad is TBH; just a general statement about privacy and permissions.
There isn't one for TDS, specifically. At least, not that I could find, but this one should do the trick.
It works by spoofing the webpage you put in to think that the referrer is a specific one you set ahead of time.
In the case of TDS, you can access its articles for free if you click the link to the article from Lebanon Google (google.com.lb). Long story short, this is for SEO reasons....
So with this plugin, you can set it up to make it so that anytime you visit a dailystar.com/* URL, the extension will trick it into thinking that you clicked the link from google.com.lb.
There are other plugins that try to do the same thing, so if you use Firefox you should be able to find another. Also, it's a good idea to note that TDS only paywalls articles related to Lebanon.
Also, also, if, for some reason, this doesn't work for you, you can always just save google.com.lb as a search engine and then search the paywalled article's URL. Click the link from google.com.lb and the paywall will be gone.
It's a technical limitation, not a set speed limit
I'm doing CS in LU currently. It's not a necessity to have a laptop during first year, as you can access online compilers on your phone.
First year is pure math, first semester will be 2 math courses, 2 physics, 1 intro to cs and 1 statistics. Don't take them lightly ( except statistics it's dumb ). Second semester is 5 math courses, and 1 programming course ( imperative programming in C ). Study day by day, please!
A lot of people shit on LU's CS program, especially with the quantity of math it has, but trust me, it's a good one. They know what they're teaching and why. No one goes to university to study CS and goes out knowing how to program unless they work on themselves. They're gonna give you the logic to think with and the basics, but you gotta work on yourself. Read and stay up to date, and don't fear taking additional material on your own.
If you want good resources, I know learncpp.com for learning C++, it was the best for me. I also added an extension in chrome called 30 seconds of knowledge where it gives you a 30 second read about something CS related every time you open a new tab. If you're more into web dev, I recommend The Odin Project.
There's a lot of info out there but don't let it intimidate you. Feel free to ask me anything
Don't get your hopes up.
This is m2's price for a simple mouse 212'000 LBP
This is Amazon's price for the same one (including color) 15.49$
Let's say 20$ on amazon for the sake of simplicity.
212'000 / 20 = 10'600 LP for 1$
Not quite the 2'500 LBP to 1$ rate.
If you want to set it up by yourself: Outline by Google Jigsaw (a 5$ server on digital ocean and choose the countries available)
If you want to trust a 3rd party service just use ExpressVpn
Services like Hulu and Netflix can detect VPNs but ExpressVPN switches your IP address as if you are a real user there (the manual option requires you to do it yourself)
I saw it in the summer, in July. You must go there, the guy who picked up the phone may not know what it is. Below is a link to the an arduino on their website. its quite a ripoff but if you need it then at least this is a good place to buy it.
http://ekt2.com/products/productdetails/412_ARDUINO_ZERO_ORG
Alternatively, you can ask a friend to bring it with from the US for MUCH CHEAPER. i have bought many off of amazon, the link below is a cheap good quality one that i have.
Finally AliExpress sells them for even cheaper if you are willing to with some more .
Hope this helps and good luck.
I just got a reprint! I’m not even sure where to get an original. I got it on Amazon 34x40 for around $100 USD. The detail is incredible. All of the villages are labeled too. They have different sizes available.
You can download this app to keep up with traffic news and see traffic cam feeds.

I use ProtonVPN, which is free, you can pay to get more features if you want. It's made by the same people behind ProtonMail, the largest encrypted email system. They are based in Switzerland, they don't log your activities or share your data with 3rd-parties.
Posted on their website:
We believe privacy and security are fundamental human rights, so we also provide a free version of ProtonVPN to the public. Unlike other free VPNs, there are no catches. We don't serve ads or secretly sell your browsing history. ProtonVPN Free is subsidized by ProtonVPN paid users. If you would like to support online privacy, please consider upgrading to a paid plan for faster speeds and more features.
Nothing will change as long as the population is satisfied. The problem is that we're not targeting the issues we're facing until a real catastrophe happens (e.g. The garbage dealership has been an issue for decades and no one felt the urge to prioritize it and escalate the attention towards it until the disaster happened last week). I mean come on guys look at this corrupted lazy-ass uneducated society we're living in! In his book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, Covey points out the necessity of emphasizing the 3rd quadrant activities i.e. not urgent, but fairly important tasks. And that I think is the serious problem. The governing capitalist system is so smart and manipulative, offering us distraction tools and maneuvering its intricate plots while we're busy in this relatively comfortable routine. In a nutshell, no population ever sought to revolute against a system unless it really needed a change, unfortunately.
There are several special issue notes, some really nice, like to commemorate 70 years of BDL, they are never seen in circulation, collector's items, there are several reference books covering Lebanese money like this one for example:
https://www.amazon.com/Professional-Catalogue-Lebanese-Banknotes-1919/dp/B08QBCC7L8
Unfortunately you can't get those shoes in Lebanon :(
But a really nice budget alternative is Whitin shoes from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Running-Footwear-WHITIN-Equipment/s?keywords=Running+Footwear&rh=n%3A2226243011%2Cp_89%3AWHITIN&c=ts&ts_id=2226243011
They have respectable color options for work interviews. Obviously I'm talking about the shoes with the wide toe-box like this https://www.amazon.com/WHITIN-Barefoot-Sneakers-Minimalist-Minimus/dp/B0B56PGJJK/ref=mp_s_a_1_8?c=ts&keywords=Running%2BFootwear&qid=1667472640&qu=eyJxc2MiOiI1LjU0IiwicXNhIjoiNC42OSIsInFzcCI6IjQuMDgifQ%3D%3D&refinements=p_89%3AWHIT...
You'll need a VPN service and a credit card. If you want something quick, I use ProtonVPN, its free and has decent speed.
For the actual buying part, you need an actual card. For that, there's OMT prepaid credit cards which you can refill from OMT branches, or Via-Card from Areeba, which works on a similar basis, but lets you send and receive.
Western doesn't support these streaming services. This is their list.
Use this app, You can top up your account by credit card or by depositing cash from any local whish place in your area But They take extra fees, I see there is only two options now, 12$ for 10$ 100$ for 100$ https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=money.whish.android
Use this app, You can top up your account by credit card or by depositing cash from any local whish place in your area They don't take any extra fees, just 10$ for 10$ 20$ for 20$ etc... https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=money.whish.android
There is a lot of books about the Civil War itself, but I highly recommend reading what led to the war with this book:
Crossroads to the Civil War: Lebanon by Kamal Salibi

Lebanese civil war books below. Be careful with these, they are written with diametrically opposed opinions...

If you replaces all your light bulbs with LEDs, it leaves you with basically 2 things: refrigerators and AC's. There is the water heater too, and you could replace the heating element if you suspect that. There are plug in amp meters like this (out of stock), but you may be able to find something similar in the market here or ali express if you have to go that route. Most will give you stats like peak and average use, so plug something in for a few hours to get an idea.
You only care to charge a laptop? perhaps get a small solar kit like these (ask someone on reddit coming over from abroad)
Or some small scale solar solution in Lebanon.
You can use this application . You take a picture, they analyse it for you to see if it passes, it takes around half an hour. If it's accepted you pay and you get an official number for your ephoto that you can use for your permit.
I have a friend who did that. It's pretty simple with some rasberry pi and some detectors and wiring. He automated turning on/off the AC, turning on/off the hot water system depending on if it's the government electricity or not, and others.
As for the data connection you can rely on a 4g dongle and batteries in case the power turns off. Check out https://ifttt.com/ it makes it really easy to plug things together.
The big hassle here is waiting for the part to be shipped, it usually takes around 2-3 months to get them.

Have you tried using a VPN? If you’re looking for a free one, I recommend ProtonVPN
Also you could try changing your DNS. This might bypass Ogero’s restrictions but I’m not sure.
I recommend using ControlD in Safari to download and install the profile. Then go to Settings → VPN & Network → DNS
and choose “ControlD - p2”
It’s good to do even if it doesn’t ublock Ogero’s limits. Everything is better without ads
By the center in Tripoli I assume you mean the Levantine Institute of Tripoli?
I work there and I highly recommend it, we even have our own Lebanese Arabic grammar book on Amazon if you want to check it out.
Feel free to message me if you need any info or help with anything.
Definitely NordVPN. It has the strongest security features and privacy-friendly design, you have a lot of control over how it works. Even in Lebanon, nord is capable of bypassing censorship and gives you really good torrenting support too. I recommend trying it!
You can check out the resources listed in r/French and r/languagelearning. r/French has a discord server. There's also an app called italki that you may find useful.
There are some free singleplayer games, usually shorter/indie ones, you can get on Steam and/or itch.io, like Doki Doki Literature Club. Even some games on Epic Games become free for an entire week.
There are also 100,000 web games archived here.
If any of this isn't enough and want to crack singleplayer games that cost money, then you can visit r/PiratedGames and check out the megathread for safe sites/torrents to download games safely.
“The Arabs will have to go, but one needs an opportune moment for making it happen, such as a war.” - Ben-Gurion’s Diary, 12 July 1937, and in New Judea, August– September 1937, p. 220.

Details of the scheme confirm long-held Palestinian claims that Israel, from its inception, wanted only to rid itself of the native Arabs living on land under its rule.
Kamal Cumsille, a University of Chile professor of Arab studies and an expert on Arab migration to Latin America, told The Daily Beast, “There is no doubt Israel maintained a hostile policy aimed at Palestinians leaving,” but said he “never heard of an actual agreement” for the transfer of Palestinians until the exposé, which was first revealed in a broadcast by Eran Cicurel, foreign editor for the Israeli Kan News.

Guys, you should not be using a UPS for routers. There are special batteries for routers That my brother bought in Lebanon for our router. It lasts longer, the secret is that batteries are inherently 12 volts, inside a UPS the 12 volt has to be converted to 220 and then router adapter brings it down to 12 again... So you are wasting 60% of your battery on that...
I will ask him tomorrow where he got them from... I remember the price for one was like 20$, and they performed very very well.

I just looked it up. It went from 1USD=~4VEF in 2012, to 1USD=~6VEF (+50%) until 2016, to 1USD=~10VEF (+150% in 8 years) until today.
We already went from 1USD=~1500LBP to 1USD=~3200LBP (+112% in ~6 months).
(I don't know why the rate looks like a step function for Venezuela. I'm guessing they also had a black market rate when the official rate was fixed, kind of like what we have??)
I designed a flag for a virtual nation I called "Ashterothia". The flag is a mixture of the Lebanese flag and the symbol of Astarte (Ashteroth/Ishtar), the goddess of love and war, who was worshipped during Bronze Age in our region.

If I had to guess on the spot, I'd say it's a combination of victim blaming and just-world hypothesis from the family's entourage, which would tend to be socially conservative and traditionalist (i.e, "leh keno mdahrin baneton barat l bet mnel awal? 3ayb hek").
Picture a small conservative village in the mountains or the south, etc. Consider that most perpetrators of rape are people already close to the victim, or the victim's family. If something like this gets out, it won't be long before everyone starts chit-chatting about the whole family, how they're a bad influence, and eventually shunning them to a certain extent. So the family resorts to this instead, to avoid the social stigma.
Why not try e-delivery? Personally I prefer that anyway.
Edit: also always checkout discountmags.com for discounts
Funny, it was there a minute ago. Here it is:
https://www.trustpilot.com/review/libazon.com
You'll notice almost all the reviewers have posted nothing except the libazon review, and all in the last week.

These are all just red flags, ultimately we don't know for sure.

I checked their prices, for some stuff they price over ebayUK by around 20-30% (it seems they copy ebay's products a lot :) )

OMT will not get involved, they just forward the money.

In terms of delivery, yeah it will be a wild ride regardless of what you choose, except if you go with aramex or dhl, because you make the purchase and they forward it to DHL's or aramex's warehouse.
I recommend you to buy a cookbook by a Lebanese person, this one looks good and authentic. Much more comfortable than looking up the internet endlessly.
Works 100% if you still have dollar limit, I did it a few times and succeeded.
Their minimum limit is 20$ so if it doesn't work for larger amounts try to lower it and see if it gets approved by your bank.
God luck
Btw. I chose MoonPay from the results and it accepts Lebanese USD (USL) debit cards
Also read this relevant comment thread on Geekwire (see past the snarky and aggressive tone). The commenters are also stressing the importance of specialization and keeping up with the latest tech trends.
The criteria is more for people who have the right to work here. Relocation can probably be managed for the right people, but you'd have to be Lebanese or have legal residence already.
We are hiring in a couple of dozen countries though. If you head to http://www.zomato.com/careers you can check out the other vacancies.
> I never said first quote. Get your eyes checked.
I literally linked to your comment. Here's a screenshot of your own comment since you're acting extra stupid. Get your memory checked.
I said military TRANSITIONAL government. There's a difference - I literally wrote it out to you of a perfect example of this playing out a few months ago in another country but you just downvoted it and didn't even respond.
Do you live in Lebanon or have you ever? Have you ever come across the Lebanese Army? Have you spoken to people and seen their sentiment towards the Lebanese Army? Because if you did, you'd know how it's nothing like any other the history of the countries in the middle east.
Politician having military background is not a military transitional government. They aren't operating in the capacity of the military.
>Not to mention all the corrupted politicians we have today have military backgrounds.
Like who? Aside from Aoun, who has military background? Never knew Hariri, Jumblatt, Berri served in the military?
And stop fucking downvoting, makes you look pathetic
I'm currently not paying for any music subscription, but I can say it's helpful to discover new songs and genre. I know very little about bands and albums and I don't keep up with what's popular.
wow, thank you so much! i already have a few views and 2 subs https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdKdCJlagQkvkLM4eBtZcvA anything you could do would be greatly appreciated ive been thinking of making a social media account but tbh i have nothing to post i do use bandlab. its like soundcloud : https://www.bandlab.com/danyhawari
http://www.expatistan.com/cost-of-living/comparison/boston/beirut
Comparing Boston to Beirut, housing is 46% more expensive on average which falls in line with what I mentioned.
Also, 30K/year in Boston for a shitty 2 bedroom? You must live in Downtown or somewhere equally expensive. The equivalent in Beirut would be Downtown, Manara, or similar. So yes apartments there would be expensive, maybe about 46% less so ;)
Sweet! Thanks for the link.
If you're interested, here some other wikileak docs about Lebanon.
what does the west have to do with this? Just because the developed world is where this trend started, it is not exclusive to the West. This is a public health intervention that countries developed and developing world over have adopted.
speedtest is usually done against a local server close by so ping doesn't really count here but at least upload speed is very decent, finally!

Can you try https://fast.com/ and post the results please?
would something like this be good ?

Does anyone know where I can buy Japanese salux cloth in lebanon? Is there a store that sells them? They're used for exfoliating the skin.amazon link
I could in theory, I don't have amazon prime though. I will check my local walmart today.
I am assuming you want this 20 ml pack is enough? price there is in Canadian dollars but after the government is done with its 16% vat tax it will basically be usd(I'll send you the entire bill if you end up choosing me)
I arrive on September 3. issue is how will we meet? I live in Jounieh, is there a local Lebanese delivery service?
Dudes of r/lebanon, where can I find these headband stretchy thingies that are double-ended? Sort of like these but that go over the whole hair.
So there's this screen costs 632$ on Amazon but over here costs 800$. So it's a 168$ difference. I tried shopandship shipping fees rate calculator and it's 125.30$, so I'll be saving 42.7$ without vat and jimrok, which should bring it to 30$ or so I guess? I don't think that's worth all the trouble since time is also money.
Yeah, a lot of the VPNs listed here don’t have a great reputation.
Mullvad is the most private as far as I’m aware. You can pour coins into an envelope and mail it and they’ll accept it as payment. Refreshing that someone actually cares about privacy.
I might end up using Mozilla’s VPN because I want to support them, though.
Hope you haven’t visited yet! I ended up buying a Huawei dongle from Amazon France (there are others which double as a router too, a friend used them and had a pretty good experience as well). I bought the data only sim card from Touch as it is valid for 1 year and does not require monthly “eyyem” recharge. Touch shops rarely have the dongles, other mobile stores might have it like Class, but call beforehand to confirm, with the current situation I doubt you’ll find any in the market, so I would recommend you buy a dongle from outside of Lebanon.
I personally recommend PureVPN because it has multiple benefits, such as it ensures secure remote access and bypass restrictive firewalls.
