If there's no arrow, the nozzle in the picture is on the same side as the gas cap!
EDIT: Apparently this is not true. I dunno about you guys, but I certainly learned something today.
EDIT 2: Is it usually on the OPPOSITE side? That's almost as useful.
EDIT 3: I made a survey -- let's find out once and for all! Results Here
Came across this survey for mobile gaming from Paradox. Feel like it would be good for everyone to fill it out to show our disinterest for their move.
EDIT: Updated source. Turns out this survey is the one Paradox currently have advertised at the top of their official forums. It's only available until 17th March so be sure to check it out before then.
Because it was marketed as being able to run practically everything. They had a survey of "what games do you want on Ouya?" and this was the result:
https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/ouyatop20
Of note:
They did nothing to dispel the idea that these games were not possible to play. They do say "These are only your suggestions", but there's no indication that these games would be entirely impossible to play on Android.
From the Kickstarter:
> Is this just about playing mobile and tablet games on my TV?
>No. Nope. Nyet. Nein. Can we say it more clearly? OUYA was not created merely to host ports of existing Android games. We’ve built this badboy to play the most creative content from today’s best known AAA game designers as well as adored indie gamemakers.
AAA games, supported on Ouya. As indicated on their Kickstarter, on a console that costs $100. That's what the hype was about.
In the end, it turned out that it was EXACTLY created to "merely host ports of existing Android games."
> there's probably more males than females who read fantasy, and by this more males will write more fantasy too...
This is completely wrong.
Statistically, women are the highest percentage of the bookbuying population and this goes for fantasy as well. In a survey last year asking who read SFF, with 5000+ respondents, 59% identified as women, compared to 38% identifying as men.
https://www.surveymonkey.com/results/SM-GVMWM5Q8/
In writing, SFF books written men and women are roughly evenly matched. http://www.strangehorizons.com/2014/20140428/2sfcount-a.shtml
What is different is the number of books reviewed. This skews heavily in favour of men, which, in turn, affects what books wind up in stores, what books you've heard of, and sales. It creates the illusion that women don't write Fantasy, but that's completely and totally wrong.
Thanks.
But I feel, then, that I should remind you of the rules of the subreddit, specifically:
>If you aren't certain of your answer, don't put it down as an answer.
and
>You don't need to be a panelist or a scientist to answer. You should have a source.
We can't expect every single comment on this subreddit to have a citation. It's an internet forum, not a scientific paper. However, if you make a claim in a top level comment, there really ought to at least be a citation out there somewhere that backs up that claim.
edit: My comment here may have been a bit strong (and I probably need not have done so [as a moderator], although done is done, I'm not going to erase the second half of my comment and ungreen myself). A Fisherian runaway **is* indeed one possible explanation for this trait, I just wanted to be careful about the distinction between the fact that there's a bit of theory that could possibly explain a phenomenon, and having empirical data to support that theoretical claim. Anyways, carry on...*
Now, because I'm turning myself green here, I imagine there will be a whole bunch of people wanting to express their opinions on the rules and how they are enforced. Please don't post them here, as long comment trees discussing the rules are distracting from the actual question being asked (I was already hesitant enough about posting this comment, and I'm sure some folks will take umbrage with me doing so). Comments on the rules are welcome here, or here. Trust me, we read them.
This will take some participation - but if anyone wants to put it to the test I have set up a survey monkey asking for your birthday. I will simply collect the data into "rooms" of 23 submissions and test the results.
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/N6XSBBD
Clarification Year is not taken into equation
*UPDATE - I made an error in my tables which caused the data to be flawed - please see new results
These results are inline with the statement and actually demonstrate a higher than 50% chance
We will be going over your questions and will be back to answer at 1 pm. In the meantime, if you use purification/chromatography in any capacity in the lab -- grad student, researcher, professor, etc... -- please take our very brief survey. It will help us out immensely as we figure out how this technology can better serve scientists.
Hype for the OUYA was almost unbelievable, I don't know how much was trolling but it got really out of control.
For those wondering here is the official requested games list (from FAQ on KickStarter): https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/ouyatop20
Assassin's Creed Bastion Battlefield Battletoads Call of Duty Dungeon Defenders Fez FIFA Final Fantasy Grand Theft Auto League of Legends Limbo Mass Effect Minecraft Need for Speed Skyrim Super Meat Boy Terraria Timesplitters Torchlight
This is igniting quite a bit of controversy.

Hey everyone, I'm doing a research paper for my composition class and I need to collect some data via surveys. It would be really awesome if you'd be willing to take a few minutes to fill it out. Thanks! https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/YQZ7WPB
Edit: oh my goodness! This freaking blew up. Thank you all very very much for your replies. I really appreciate it. :)

Hello I am an entrant into the Young Scientist Competition and as part of my project I conducting a survey of irish people's opinion on nuclear energy and would appreciate everyone's feedback. https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/9YQYQ8Y
Thus far into the survey:
The average Dragonborn is a Nord with black hair whose preferred weapon is both a sword & shield combo and sneaking around with a bow, making him a stealth warrior build of sorts. He overwhelmingly favors the Imperial Legion, he completes all four guild story arcs, and his favorite armor is Nightingale (though Daedric was #1 for a long while and Ebony and DB armor are both very highly ranked too). He is a swordsman first and foremost, but certainly not above using a bow when the situation calls for it. Most of the time, he's a hardass who does nothing else but focus on the task at hand and always gets the job done, but he's also a guy that can tell you a lot of awesome stories at a pub if you were to buy him a drink or two.
Edit: Surprises within the survey:
A lot of Khajiit characters. By far the second most picked race, next to Nord.
The Empire is beating the Stormcloaks in popularity by quite a large margin. I know this is reddit, but I was expecting it to be a closer race than that. Come on my Stormcloak brethren, represent.
Warrior-thief is by far the most played character type. It has nearly double the votes of the next highest rated type.
Not many red haired people. I personally find red hair sexy, though I normally go with black or dark brown like most people.
Unsuprises in the Survey:
Nord was the most popular race
Swords and bows are the most popular weapon
Nightingale, Daedric, Ebony, and Dragon armor are the most popular
The Dragonborn completes all four guild quests
Black, blonde, and brown hair were the most common

Here's the responses for anyone that's interested. Apparently I need a membership to see anything over 100 responses though, so that sucks.

Hello! I am currently a master’s student studying Linguistics. I am working on my dissertation and need participants for my study. At the end of this message I will include a link to a questionnaire. It is between 5 and 7 minutes long and asks questions about some words or phrases you may have heard or used on the internet.
On the consent page of the questionnaire I will ask for your first and last name, or some kind of identifying name that you should keep as reference. This information will not be a part of the data and will not be shared with or available to anyone else. This is simply to have some kind of identification so that if you wish for your questionnaire to be deleted or amended in any way, I will be able to find it based on the name you have given me. I will also be asking for your age, gender, country of location, and your first language. If you are not comfortable giving this information out please do not fill out this questionnaire, and if at any point during you feel uncomfortable with it please exit the questionnaire. This data is password-protected and will not be viewed by anyone but myself.
At the end of the questionnaire is more information on my dissertation and research questions. If you have any questions, or would like more information please email me at
Thank you very much for your time
YOU MUST BE 18 OR OLDER TO COMPLETE THIS QUESTIONNAIRE
This will be the most efficient way by far to get the ghosts. According to the survey I posted here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MKQ6VKY
... the droprate for ghosts is likely less than 4%, the droprate for 320 ghosts is likely less than 0.2%
In my opinion, a better design for this event would be to give us a ghost guaranteed better than the best one we have on completion of the weekly bounty. Or even just guarantee a 320 ghost on completion of the weekly bounty if character light >= 310.

These are actual scientists who will be poring over these results. Please take the time to give thoughtful responses; the findings will be published.
I'm not kidding when I say it's long. It took me 45 minutes to finish.
Frankly, some of these questions are ridiculously blunt. A lot of self-awareness is going to be required to give them real, honest answers. Again, please be totally honest when you answer this.

> Nuregarasu no Miko (Zero: The Black Haired Shine Maiden) will be out on 27th September in Japan, a western release has yet to be announced.
Do we need to start a campaign to get this released in the west?
If I may humbly suggest, you might get more, better responses (and more useful ones) if you throw together a quick survey with yes/no questions or a Likert scale (1-5, disagree to agree). People are more likely to do something user-friendly and quick like that as opposed to typing out an anecdotal, narrative response. Plus, you can actually use answers from a survey to get statistical results to use in your paper instead of just quotes from anecdotes.

Math time. Racists hate it.
>Misreading #3: The star means “Estimate is based on 10 or fewer sample cases”, the key word here being “sample”. They did not ask everyone in the country but a sample of 77,852 people, about one in 4,000. So there could have been as many as 40,000 black women raped by white men that year!
But they do say...
>I won't waste time debunking Abagond's claims above. It’s enough to point out his claim that a sample size of over 77,000 is not enough. That every single case would have to be analyzed in order to achieve reliable statistics. The flaws in his argument are obvious, and what we have here is bitterness, not objectivity.
...I will waste time debunking the ~~white supremacist's~~ claims.
If you wanted to be 99% sure that your stats were accurate to within ±1%, for a population of 310 million people, you could do it with a sample size of 1,849 people.
For a sample size of 77,852 people out of 310 million, your margin of error is ±0.46% with 99% confidence.
For those still interested, we do have a House of Wolves Poll up at the moment!!
How does everyone feel about a live debate on a millennial-moderated online broadcast called The Real Newsroom - a subdivision of Bernie2016.tv? The channel has offered all four Iowa US Senate candidates airtime for a 4-way debate. Bob Krause and I have accepted. No word from Patty Judge or Rob Hogg. Here a survey link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/N3SM79K Let us know what you think.

It's a small sample size and self reported but it's the only statistic there is. I can also say from anecdotal experience of over a year of lurking and posting that women weren't uncommon at all.
Looking at OP's post history, I think it's here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/7WWHDB5
I agree that the results as they are probably reflect more the demographic of Reddit than that of people who experience asmr.

> 92% of a small number of individuals. 1000 men hardly constitutes a "study" on something like this in a country of nearly 30 million people
Please take a stats class. 1000 people if they are randomly distributed can be a perfectly good sample. In general, people have a very bad intuition for how sample sizes interact with population size. See for example this table.
> "Do you think rebates are malicious business practice?"
While I personally do think that rebates are a malicious business practice, this is a leading question and may poison your survery's results.
https://www.surveymonkey.com/blog/2015/02/11/5-common-survey-mistakes-ruin-your-data/
This is an interesting question.
Here are the results...males are in the lead already...
Lots of talk lately about who should be kept/dealt going forward. This is a super simple survey letting you answer that question.
I think that'd be fucking great to get going once a week, but (not trying to sound like a douche) if you end up doing it could you try and not do it on Saturdays? That's when the song threads go up, and the less stuff that gets posted that day the better they do.
And SurveyMonkey is pretty good for polls.
Edit: Just curious, how are you gonna pick the songs? View From The Afternoon and Do I Wanna Know would be a cool place to start.
Please take the survey, it is only 5 questions. Want to make sure Harmonix overwhelmingly gets the message that we are ready for Rock Bands return!
For those of you who choose to respond to this survey, please note that unlike google forms, surveymonkey allows the option for survey designers to collect and associate IP addresses with each respondent -- which may not reveal your identity, but will indicate your geographic region, often to a finer degree than mere regional associations.
Please also refer to chinglishese's post here to see results from the official community-wide survey we conducted earlier this year.
You don't think the Steam numbers are a valid sampling of the player base?
Yeah, it's not comprehensive. But the majority of the data isn't released by Gaijin, so we use what we have.
And even if only 10% of players play through Steam, that's more than enough for a statistically valid sampling.
You could also go directly to https://www.surveymonkey.com/results/SM-YCHJCG32/ ... but Jeep posted some alternative perspectives to the forum thread that aren't available in the survey monkey results, so I think that's the more useful link.
I have a favor to ask you guys.
A local favorite, Kessler Park, has the opportunity for expansion. It's currently a quarter mile long hill, that's closed off to traffic 24/7. City council is open to suggestions for new additions, and we've been closely working with the park director. There's a possibility for a pump track, and skatepark being built near the hill we freeride and race. (park director is an OG Slalom guy, so he digs the idea.)
I'd greatly appreciate if you could fill out this survey, and help us out. It'd be rad as hell to have a hub for all things skating in such a close proximity. Our own mini Kamloops, if you will. I know the locals will do their part, but extra signatures never hurt. Thanks again!
Top 10 teams in the Group of 5:
Boise State (There really isn't a close second)
BYU (Do we count BYU? I know they are classified as P5 by the P5 conferences, but Shrug still G5 to me until they join a conference)
Northern Illinois
East Carolina
Cincinnati
San Diego State
Colorado State
Utah State
Georgia Southern
UCF
I'll tell you what... Number 1 was easy. 2-10 is literally a toss up. None of those teams have been consistent enough to really warrant where they stand in my personal rankings.
Best QB's: Taysom Hill and Chuckie Keeton
Best RB: San Diego State's Donnel Pumphrey
Best WR: Colorado State's Rashard Higgins.
I'd like to think Boise will add their RB and QB to that list (And WR's too) but we will have to see how the year plays out. And to be honest, I know little to almost NOTHING about any of the other G5 conference RB and QB situations. Someone convince me why your team's RB or QB is better than the ones I listed :)
As for best Offenses and Defenses
Best Defenses: Boise State, Temple
Best Offenses: Boise State, Northern Illinois, Marshall
EDIT Also, head over to r/MountainWest and take the preseason Mountain West football poll to rank where you think the Mountain West's teams are in terms of pre-season ranking! Here is a direct link to the pre-season poll. (Poll closes Friday morning) https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/NQ88G5S
I think we all want the best possible destiny we can get, and sometimes the greater good outweighs the plight of the minority. They don't have to upgrade immediately, they can wait for price drops, sales, etc. and get destiny 2 + a new console later on.
TL;DR: start saving now.
Edit: Thanks /u/mshel016 for the survey (remember selection bias, population percentage etc, but consider it a reasonable metric for the overall player base)
It is my birthday today and the best gift I could recieve is the Giants not being swept by the Marlins.
Also, in case you haven't seen the threads already, I'm toying with the idea of setting up a softball game meetup for /r/sfgiants. Please fill out this poll if you are interested in attending.
The Baltimore Neighborhood Indicators Alliance, one of the research groups mentioned in the article, is currently conducting a survey on this very topic and they are trying to get feedback from people that have moved in or out of the city in the past 3 years. As an aside, if you don't like the feature, let them know about it. There's a link to a survey on the page, as well as a talk page for discussing it.
Personally, I have mixed opinions. I can see how it would be useful (quick, appropriate sized preview of an image without having to go to the image page), but the UI is very weak. There's tons of ambiguous buttons that don't even have tooltips. When an image is still loading, the navigation arrows are sometimes not shown.
It was difficult to find out how to get different sizes of the image. When licensing details is large, it's partially hidden and you have to click to show it, and even then nest scrollbars.
With that said, performance for loading an image of an optimal size for browsing is something I like. It seems like a feature that is imperfect and perhaps should have been beta'd first (I'm not sure if it was).
Guh just Google it for yourself poo kahuna. It's not our job to educate you.
Just kidding here it is: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/8V56ZL6
My answers were:
A) No. I'm a man. I am the one who catcalls.
B) Yes. I dropped from 175lbs to 155lbs by counting calories and my girlfriend expressed concern that my ability to metabolize alcohol had been reduced, effectively making me a "lightweight" at drinking.
C) Yes. At my last grappling tournament, the brackets were determined based on bodyweight. Thus the opponents I faced would not have been fighting me were it not for my weight.
D) Promote the sport of sumo wrestling. Who the hell would dare try shaming 300+lbs of sheer bodyslamming power?
I have some interesting news: https://www.surveymonkey.com/blog/2016/02/29/trumps-lead-looks-solid-in-run-up-to-super-tuesday/
I found this when I updated the Recent 5 polls on Wikipedia's statewide polls page.
The link contains several polls completed yesterday conducted in 7 Super Tuesday states.
Trump has this.
Tagging /u/wumbotarian /u/iamelben /u/-Rory- /u/a_s_h_e_n /u/whoarebornoftea /u/VodkaHaze and anyone else interested in a /r/studyeconomics metrics course.
There has been a decent amount of intersted in running a metrics course through /r/studyeconomics. I am happy to take a lead role in the course, organizing "lectures" and problem sets and being involved in weekly discussions. The earliest I could start would be the week starting March 14th.
Before getting into organizing the course I want to get a feel of what types of things people would like to learn and where everyone is as far as statistical and econometric knowledge. For a typical undergrad course I cover most of chapters 2-9 and parts of 15 and 17 from Wooldridge, (I am told a copy exists online). In addition I like to talk about difference-in-difference and regression discontinuity design from Mostly Harmless Econometrics or Mastering Metrics from Angrist and Pischke. I am more than happy to cover other sections if there is a strong interest.
I ask anyone that is interested to do two things to help organize it. First is to comment with the topics you would like to cover and any suggestions on how you would like the course to be ran. Second is to take this survey to let me know you are skill wise to determine how much of a review is needed for topics.
Depending on how this course goes /u/VodkaHaze has expressed interest in running a second part focusing more on econometric models and working with data, see their outline here.
Yes, he did. He told his lawyer that. He said Jay told him he was cheating and that he convinced Stephanie to stay for a voluntary assembly in order to prevent her from going to his house and catching him. See here.
> with a simple google search you can educate yourself
not only have I been formally educated on the subject, I literally do this for a living (albeit on a smaller scale).
>The fact is polls are consistently inaccurate
Polling, by its very nature, will never be 100% accurate. Like /u/hogtrough said, the results of the competitions so far have been within the margins of error. Here's a sample size calculator so you can better understand the reasoning behind sample sizes and margins of error because based on what you've posted, it doesn't seem that you really get it. For example, if we wanted to predict how all registered voters in this country would vote (a situation that will never happen) with 99% confidence and a 5% MOE, we'd need a sample size of at least 666.
Granted, there is no limit to how deep your conspiracy will go, so you might just throw out all this information because "statisticians and pollsters are biased and wrong."

Here is Update 22:
Dear backers,
How’s it going? We hope you’re in a good mood.
This time, we need your help. It’s absolutely necessary! Please find a few minutes to consider our propositions. Your satisfaction depends on your choice and the Kickstarter crowd.
A few problems have arisen, and we have had to rethink the project. In short, at this moment we are offering you a Woolet with a rechargeable battery which can be charged by a micro USB cable. We swapped wireless charging for a rechargeable battery because we thought further delay would not be acceptable. It was the only way to provide you with the Woolet on time. You can check the full story here: http://blog.woolet.co/wearables/backers-only-all-the-information-needed
This decision had put the Woolet in jeopardy. We are very sorry we didn’t ask for your opinion. If we had known that you wouldn’t be happy with this idea, we would not even have tried to implement it.
We are in a tight corner, and we have to bounce back. We really, really need your help. Please vote for the best option: a. Woolet charged by microUSB cable + RFID cover (ETA: before Christmas) b. Woolet with wireless charging without charging pad* (ETA: February 2016)
Type in your answer here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/5QV9ZHC
Thank you for your answer. We are going to count every single vote and will post the official results before September 30. Stay tuned!
*Unfortunately, we cannot provide you with a charging pad because of money issues. Some materials and tests exceeded our imagination.
As per my previous comment - I've set up a SurveyMonkey, which I think would be good so we can collate the community's response in a format better than just Reddit comments. I've kept it short for the moment, just to gauge the community's interest.
If anyone has a spare moment and would like to fill it out, or has a suggestion for it, let me know!
Edit: Since someone has asked, by "a total bar on forced payment for mods" I mean that modders should be banned from allowing people to download their mod ONLY if they pay.
If so, it's poor survey practice because it primes the subject. That looks like it was studied pretty well in the 80's, if anyone wants a more scientific analysis of that, I think the best search phrase for Google Scholar is "survey 'order effect.'"
The proper way to study such a difference would be to use independent studies over a large population and control for demographic and contextual circumstance as much as possible.
Couple points here:
268 actually is a sufficient sample size for most purposes. In fact, it's almost precisely the sample size needed to hit a 95% confidence level with a 6% margin of error for a population of 10,000,000 kids. That's pretty good.
It's an order of magnitude larger than most other peer-reviewed studies, which typically use sample sizes between 20-40 individuals.
Thanks everyone for playing along. Here's the major points:
Thanks again for playing :) Below is the link to browse data on surveymonkey. I only wish I had made the PM/month a radio dialog so that this data was more massagable.
Hi folks, as you may have heard, recently, a group of FFA/MFA users purchased dressed.so from /u/n1C. We are excited to expand the site, and wanted feedback from the community about how you use the site, and what changes would improve your experience. If you post, lurk, or comment on d.so, or have other feedback about the site, we'd appreciate getting your feedback through this survey.
Also please feel free to PM me at any time with feedback or questions.
Mathematically a sample size of 1000 on a binary outcome is sufficient to draw a conclusion like this.
Edit: To get a 95% confidence interval with a 3.1% margin of error and a population size of 60,000,000 the necessary sample size is exactly 1000. They probably chose 1000 for this reason. Source: https://www.surveymonkey.com/mp/sample-size-calculator/
Jesus I made a huge mistake bringing up the "your mom" thing for the survey lol, now it's full of your mom jokes. You guys are cunts. Also, "my dick" isn't baseball equipment you fucks. And I'm not "gaaaaay" lol but seriously last call for the survey
Edit: and no my mom's not gonna be there
>How was the TCD survey conducted
According to this, it was conducted by use of surveymonkey.
https://m.facebook.com/tcdsu/posts/815501945174989
In particular, this:
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/?sm=sy6ivmfUCGUu4WQp%2fDgtEg%3d%3d
The survey questions, while not particularly leading, gives considerable latitude for an "other" category, which later would have to be quantified by the surveyors. This is a flaw and reduces the empirical nature, I would argue.
While the survey itself isn't particularly leading, the advertising to the survey is.
Phrases like: "this topic isn't talked about enough" and "if the survey affects you in a negative way" and so forth. Already prepping it with this "triggering slant", unnecessarily, as practically every PTSD expert states such warnings are ultimately harmful, not helpful.
More disturbing, the sample size isn't randomly selected. You opt in to the survey. This is going to skew the results.
Then, of course, it's available to anyone. That's going to harm the result. I'm not a TCD student and I could have completed the survey, as it was posted on their facebook, as it would seem.
Further, nothing stops me from doing the survey over and over again, skewing the result. I would highly suspect that this would have been done, as a flat 25% is conflict-region high.
Edit: I would also suggest that it may be likely, that those who offered the survey had a bias as to the result they wanted or suspected, just by the facebook post. The lead in is particular bizarre for a proper survey, I think anyway.
Yes, they do still charge you to collect all your responses.
Free accounts get up to 100 responses/survey.
And yet people here are still willing to pay for these things. SMH
I like it, Toronto needs more green space and this is a great start. Somewhere to go have a nice picnic by the waterfront, take a nice bike ride around, and would be cool if they had winter activities here too like in the photo gallery. I used to love Ontario Place as a kid, so I hope they have some kid friendly activities such as splash pads and cooling stations.
I suggest everyone do the survey. We could help provide some great insight! I wonder what will happen to the rest of the park
Good day to All! I'm currently a Library Archivist at a University in Louisiana and I'm conducting a short 10 question Survey on your feelings of your own History, Lineage, and Slavery. I'm hoping to compile the data and include it in a Paper/Presentation at a conference in Texas during the Summer. Your answers are completely anonymous and you're not required to give any personal information.
Please feel free to take this Survey through SurveyMonkey and let me know what you think!
Thanks Reddit for Helping Out A Scholar!!
They can see usage statistics, unfortunately they weren't in our favour. Only a tiny percentage of players actually used it. Make sure you tell them what you want in the current survey. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/RB4OnlineSurvey
Looking forward to doing this again some time, was pretty fun.
Also looking forward to MIOM's fabled 2015 revised tier list. soonTM
Edit: if people want to keep voting the link is here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/MRF83QN
I'll update edit: ONE day from now if more votes are recieved. [Got 23 more in the last hour(no position changes yet)]
Edit: Updated Results here: http://www.reddit.com/r/smashbros/comments/2uy3xu/results_from_the_february_2015_rsmashbros_ssbm/
Got a lot of fans of Decay so far.
Not so much for Growth.
I think I'm just gonna post the results down here. I'll make another thread specifically for the results later for those that miss it.
If you want people to actually help you with this, you will get a much better turn out if you create an online survey that people can easily fill out anonymously. (Especially since you are asking for personal information such as income ranges, etc). https://www.surveymonkey.com/ might work for you.
There is a voting out there to decide - if dogeparty should use "Proof of Burn" or "Proof of charity": https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/dogeparty_issuance_method
I am all for "Proof Of Charity" ... maybe not burning the coins dilutes the value of doge a bit ... but hey - on which occasion did this community hesitated when its for a good cause?!?
"Proof of Charity" is the spirit to go for dogeparty. We want to create something for a better future. We want to be excellent. Doing it the Doge way.
So lets vote "Proof of Charity" - pls.
Hello I am conducting research for my class. I have to complete a project on bodybuilding. If you have time please help me out and answer my questions. This would be a big help. I am very interested in what you have to say! Thank you in advance.
There are two links please complete both if you would like to participate. Thanks!

Update:
Just wanted to post an update for anyone following this thread. I realize now that SurveyMonkey requires a "premium account" in order to show more than 100 results. It looks like there were around 600 actual responses and the results only show the first 100. This was my first attempt at doing an online survey and I didn't realize the limitations of SurveyMonkey.
These kind of polls are probably meaningless until one of the "Big Three" actually launches, but I think they are fun anyway.
Did anybody else get a PM yesterday to do a survey? I was wondering if this was an FFA sanctioned event?
> Hi there,
>I'm reaching out because I have a survey about a media startup http://themissinformation.com that I'm doing research market research for. I see you're a fellow subscriber on FFA and would love if you'd take this survey. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/PCCH22Q
>It shouldn't take more than 5 minutes, and if you fill it out with your email address at the end you will be entered to win the cool bluetooth speakers featured at the link below. http://www.stelleaudio.com/index.php/go-go-speakertm.html
>I promise this isn't spam; we just need more online respondents for our survey and I figured I'd message some people and try our luck :)
>Thank you thank you thank you!
Hey friends, in honor of free shipping Fridays, any order placed between now and midnight tonight can be shipped for free by using the code “REDDIT514” Woohoo!
I am the owner and head roaster over at Harlan Coffee Roasters, a place where you can buy specialty coffee for a price you choose. All coffee offerings are within a range from “Raw Cost” all the way up to a price of 200% markup. I leave the choice of pricing almost entirely up to you in an attempt to make high-grade coffee accessible. All bags I sell are 250g to give you the opportunity to buy just enough coffee to last you, without the risk of it degrading a whole lot before getting a chance to brew it.
Also, I’ve created a really short, 8 question survey that I hope some of you could take the time and answer a few questions about our payment system & other cool things!
For a population size of 64 million, at 95% confidence and a margin of error of 3%, you only require a sample of 1068 people. It must be random selections.
It can be proven mathematically, however that is beyond the scope of this comment.

So... make a separate survey and post it to the sub? This thread at least shows people are willing to put up the info. I think SurveyMonkey is the standard thing people use.
I created a survey. It's 4 questions
All questions have answers ranging from Positive to Negative.
If people care enough to answer it (say more than 40 responses), I will leave the survey running for two hours and put up the results as a reply to this message at 14:30 GMT.
The H2H Series Match-Up between me and /u/joshengleman was absolutely epic last night. Feel free to ask us any questions about our line-ups and/or why I am better than Josh at DFS.
A note to Josh: if you're going to bring a gun to a knife fight, consider loading it.
Tonight's <strong>FanDuel Survey</strong> is up - it's only 2 questions. Please use first and last names for all players you enter so it's easier for me to sort the data. I will post the results here.

CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS GAME.
Bold prediction: We break our subreddit's record for the most comments in a GDT tonight.
Also, we are announcing our player awards after the game! Don't forget to take this survey if you haven't already!
I am a bot. For those of you at work, I have tried to extract the text of the blue post from the us.battle.net forums: > >Omrakos / Blizzard Employee > >The low drop rate for the Gibbering Gemstone is being looked into. I'd imagine though that it won't be altered until an upcoming patch is released. > > > >_________________________________________________________ > >I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday, 12 pm - 8 pm Pacific Time > >Please provide feedback! - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos

Just 4 questions, appreciate it. New to reddit, maybe I could have set this up better, but THANKS for your participation! ;)
Also, we will share and update the results here!
I feel like creating an online survey and and posting the link here would be much easier, especially for compiling the answers. There are several free and easy ways to do that:
Most rural firefighters are volunteer, so take that into consideration too.
Unrelated, because it's not talking about the stretch of highway 17 where the accident was, here's a link to a survey about the planned twinning of about 60 km of the highway that is forecast to take 27!! years.
...er, yes, that's how polls work. A poll can still be valid if it doesn't sample the entire population it reflects. Have a look at this -- for a poll meant to reflect the entire US population with a confidence level of 95% and a margin of error of 3%, an appropriate sample size would be 1,068.
Hey everyone, I posted a link to a survey about visual novels last week and would like to thank everyone who took it. I still need another 30 responses so I would like to ask if you have the time, could you please follow this link and answer a few questions. I plan on posting the findings at a later date to help anyone else who might want to find a few things out about the community. Thanks!
What country do you live in?
Also you realise that Valve's official room scale VR survey disagrees with what you think too, right?
And those are answers from VR enthusiasts. Yikes.
Hey, we (Ask Mr. Robot) commissioned @Cadistra to make some cool HFC boss art. And now we're just having fun with it. Vote on your favorites and we'll turn the most popular ones into pins, tees, and release them digitally for personal use.
And as a super bonus, if you have a caption to add for any of the bosses, leave a comment. I'd love to make some more :)
I'll set it up. Brb.
And editing again: that survey can only collect 1000 responses. Lemme see if there's something better than survey monkey out there... :P
Editing a third time: I'm not going to bother to re-make the poll, guessing I won't get 1000 answers anyways. Please answer if you can! Answer wjaybez's too, more info the better :)
and link to results
I did it and it said after I press submit it would take me to a page to be able to sign up for the draw, but I after I pressed submit it just took me to the Survey Monkey 'thank you' page.
Welp I bit the bullet.
I've created a quick survey. Feel free to participate.
I listed only the released albums, not including Bonus Tracks--sorry but I figured, since not EVERYONE has access to them then they wouldn't be fair to include.
I'll leave this open for about a week.
I am a bot. In an effort to understand GHash's dominant market position, I have created a very short web survey.
Why are miners chosing GHash.io? Is it fees? Appearance? Customer support?
We don't know, but with this survey I hope to find out.
If you are a GHash customer, please take a few seconds to complete the survey.
The survey can be found here:
https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/LXQ32ZD
I will release the results of this survey to the public domain in 24 hours. I hope that either I or another potential competitor will be able to use this data to create a competing service.
Thank you.
Have you thought of using surveymonkey.com?
Yeah, some of these questions can be answered using a Likert scale such as "How strong is the ability (how reliable, how intense, how physical, etc.)?"
I appreciate your love for Frozen and I do not mean to offend you in any way, but please read this and then consider remaking your survey to have fewer open ended questions so the surveyees don't have to write so much: https://www.surveymonkey.com/blog/en/blog/2012/04/13/10-online-survey-tips/ (especially 2, 3 and 4) :)

As to the question asked about how I feel about how Comcast could do better?: Allow other service providers to use the physical infrastructure, increasing competitiveness. Lower prices. Increase speeds & channel availability w/o increasing prices. Better customer service. Closing up shop and turning it over to a company that actually has morals and cares about people rather than treating us like cash cows waiting to be milked.
Here is the alternate survey for current residents of Boulder:
https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/BoulderResident
Why not fill it out? This is one opportunity to get our voices heard about the out of control rent/housing situation in Boulder. It took me about ten minutes.
So I hate being 'that guy'
But, I'm studying event management at TAFE, our big aassessment is to get a charity as a client and put on an event to raise money for them. We got the Leukaemia Foundation and the event we are putting on is a movie themed trivia night.
One of the assessment parts is to create a survey and have people fill it out, so I don't expect anybody to actually do it, but if you're willing, and you have the time, I'd really appreciate it.

/u/attackclown its your moment to shine
Hey guys, I usually don't do things like this but I'm working on my final project which is worth 30% of my final mark for my media studies class & I need to have a survey for it. If you could take like 2 minutes & fill this shit out, it'd be greatly appreciated.
From the previous weekly newsletter:
>We Want To Hear Your Thoughts on Challenge Caches! Take the Challenge Cache Survey
>Last April, we paused accepting submissions for new challenge caches to collect data and reevaluate the impact they have on the game. Now, we’d like to hear more from you! Take this survey to tell us about your experience with challenge caches.
>What’s a challenge cache? Challenge caches allow geocache owners to create “challenges” you have to accomplish before you can log a specific geocache, like meeting the challenge of finding a geocache on every day of the year. They’re fun. But as challenge caches have grown in the geocaching community over the last decade, they’ve also often caused confusion for players and can add extra hurdles for community volunteer reviewers.
>By taking this survey, you will help us build a better framework for challenge caches — one designed for even more geocaching fun. Thank you!
This is the survey it links to: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/HFPMDKQ
So no real word yet on when it will end, they're still trying to figure out what to do with them.
