Not dummies. We were shooting a documentary about a special needs camp, zeno mountain farm, making a western film in pioneer town in joshua tree
That is a counselor Pete tripping. Here is a teaser of our documentary. PW - hailzeno
There's no way a phone camera can have fast enough shutter speed to freeze the ball like that, unless the ball just started to slow down. You need at least 1/320-1/500 to get such a small amount of motion blur.
1/640, minor motion blur.
As an aside, if you don't like the feature, let them know about it. There's a link to a survey on the page, as well as a talk page for discussing it.
Personally, I have mixed opinions. I can see how it would be useful (quick, appropriate sized preview of an image without having to go to the image page), but the UI is very weak. There's tons of ambiguous buttons that don't even have tooltips. When an image is still loading, the navigation arrows are sometimes not shown.
It was difficult to find out how to get different sizes of the image. When licensing details is large, it's partially hidden and you have to click to show it, and even then nest scrollbars.
With that said, performance for loading an image of an optimal size for browsing is something I like. It seems like a feature that is imperfect and perhaps should have been beta'd first (I'm not sure if it was).
Even if you assumed it was a average MLB fastball (88mph), that's still only 11mph, which apparently is just under the average human sprinting speed (12-15mph).
Here is an article about it which links to the photographer (he does a lot of cool stuff with water droplet photography).
the punny gif with no sound doesn't give justice to how perfectly it coincided with the music. See for yourself at the at around 18:50 mark. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ILlwoCyxu0&feature=youtu.be&t=1125

I also think that the lightning is far away. If a lightning strikes near a camera, it's usually so bright that you can't see much else.
Ah, wait: the lightning didn't strike the photographer's plane, but the far away plane, where the lightning appears "broken".
In addition to the path of electricity going around the heart (you can see some examples in this article, warning: may be slightly NSFW), it's also possible for your heart to restart itself if not too severely harmed - albeit certainly not guaranteed.
This is the governing principle behind the use of defibrillators. While TV and movies love to make it seem like a defibrillator is used when the heart stops, that couldn't be further from the truth; defibrillators are used when a person is experiencing sudden cardiac arrest due to fibrillation (it's in the name!) or tachycardia, which are forms of dangerous irregular heartbeat. The electric pulse imparted by a defibrillator briefly stops the heart so that they body can (hopefully) restart it with a coordinated, regular heartbeat.
In a similar way, it is possible for someone struck by lightning to have their heart stop then start again. However, lightning has a high potential to cause severe damage to internal organs due to its extremely high electrical charge (lightning maxes out at around 50000 amps!). This damage to internal organs including your heart and brain is what makes lightning so likely to kill you, and it doesn't help that even if that doesn't kill you it's possible that your heart won't restart.
tl;dr - lightning fries your insides. Don't touch lightning.
Not OP, but wanted to chain on your post to mention that I can't find a source for it at all. The closest I can come is when Dave Winfield killed a seagull in 1983, then was arrested by the Toronto police.
My guess is that the two events get slurried together in a person's memory, since they're so similar. Especially something random like this, and especially if they never vetted it in the first place.
Yeah, it's a seawall, meant to block waves. If that's where I think it is (Chicago, just north of downtown), there's a small mooring and open-water swimming area there, and that strip of lights at the water's edge is actually a road (US Route 41, Lake Shore Drive). Aerial view from Google Maps.

This is a good place to start. As for more specific recommendations, I can't really say. That depends heavily on your needs. I'd say it'd be best to go through the reviews linked on that page (starting at the top) and it'll give you a decent breakdown of each phone.
Right now I can get around far enough to land on my knees/shins, which gets a bit painful after a while. The other night some old guy came over to the board and was all "let me show you guys how it's done...haven't done this in about 15 years" and proceeded to destroy us with his flipping skills.
OK; this one, then? If you look at Fowler and Nebraska, it has a very similar feel to it.
Ask any sports photographer, it'd be impossible to get zero motion blur without shooting at at least 1/500. Look at a shot like this, it's taken at 1/800 and there's still minor motion blur on the ball.
Yeah, discord seems to be the most preferable right now. There is also https://wire.com which I haven’t tried but it seems to be the most secure, but I hear it has some backend issues.
The depth is less important than proper insertion. The plug is supposed to slide into your ear canal and then expand to fit it, which is what provides the sound isolation. Additionally, some people just initially dislike the feeling of having something inside their ear, so it may just be a question of getting used to it for you.
If you can't, or if it's actual pain you experience rather than just discomfort, you can always try a shallower insertion, or try using smaller ear plugs like these.
Try the type of activewear leggings/shorts that have the specific phone-sized pocket on the thigh, like this.
Buy the book because I said so. I am in no way, form, or matter affiliated, related, nor paid for by fenton's master and such relevant persons and/or companies.
If you look up 'misogyny' in the dictionary, there's a picture of pants with fake pockets, or pockets that have been sewn shut.
Or use the reusable tri flange ones.

I cut the cord so they are about 1 inch long. Every couple days put them in a pocket and run them through the wash machine.
Walmart sells the same ones in the shooting isle.
