Today we are introducing a legendary amphibious soviet tank - the PT-76.

The PT-76 is an amphibious tank that was put into service in the USSR in 1951. This legendary vehicle will join rank IV of the Soviet light tanks line. Though the tank is protected only by thin bullet-proof armour, its maneuverability, low profile and rapid firing gun will allow this machine to stand against the most dangerous of enemies. Basic ammo for this tank is post-war APCR round and a more powerful HEAT round will be able to penetrate up to 200mm of armour. Anticipating most popular question - will it be amphibious? Not at the start, but it is possible in the future.

The PT-76 was designed as an amphibious tank. Because of that, angles of the upper and lower armour plates of the tank’s hull are extremely large. The armour is very thin but if you are fortunate enough the tank may ricochet enemy rounds upwards into to the sky or to the ground. But of course this light vehicle should not rely solely on its armour. This machine is a very maneuverable (though not very fast) amphibious tank.

In the “Weapons of Victory” major update, we will be introducing a unique new vehicle - a multiple artillery rocket system! We have been working on these types of machines for quite a while and the first one will be the premium Callioppe Sherman which will join the second rank of U.S. ground forces tree.

Many tanks require a lot of additional effort from programmers, the Callioppe required even more. This MRLS needed big changes in the armament code. But now we can definitely say that after reworking and implementing the code for the Callioppe we can now introduce even more different and interesting vehicles.
Vyacheslav “BVV_d” Bulannikov, game designer:
This is our first experience in introducing a MRLS into the game. This vehicle has guide rails for 114 mm M8 rockets mounted on a M4 tank turret. This rocket launcher system allowed fire not only from a defilade position but also from point-blank range. In the early versions, the main gun could not be utilised until the rocket rails had been unmounted, in the game, we have a later version which doesn’t have these issues. So, once all the rockets have been fired, the Callioppe may continue to fight as a standard tank.

This vehicle would be a simple sherman if there wasn’t a multi rocket system installed on the turret. Horizontal aiming is done via the traverse of the turret. Elevation is linked to the tank weapon which is linked to the rocket launcher using a special rigid strut.

Edit: I just tested it in battle and it also shows hits that bounced. No further information or anything, just the point where the round bounced off.

Our team is constantly and actively working on both graphical improvements and the optimization of the game. Even if players have older systems, unsupported by many modern games, they are still able to play War Thunder, although on minimal settings.
In an upcoming update we will add several new graphical effects. The first will be the effect of heat haze which will appear while firing the cannon and also a haze that will add to the realism of the operating engine of ground forces.
The second effect - is the long-awaited contrails from aircraft, which appear as a result of condensing moisture at low air temperatures. Normally, you can see them at high altitudes.
It is important for us for our game to look great with any settings, this is why we have made additional optimizations for older graphic card support and, as a result, we now have the opportunity to not only increase the number of frames per second in this mode, but also to improve its visual rendering. Now Ultra Low graphics mode will look much better than it looked before and it will be rendered without any loss of performance for players, in some cases will even improve on it!

I just finished the game last night myself. 6 months to complete the main game. Its been a long time, and its kinda hard to let go. You just get so attached to these characters. Thankfully I had the best ending. Would have been heart breaking to get the other endings. I'm going to miss these characters.

Heard about the new addition of "Schrage Musik", and had to give it a go on the 1.39 dev server.
Currently (on the 1.39 server), there are only 2 aircraft who can utilize this: The Ki-45 tei Toryu & the new Do. 217N-2. I find it more effective with the Do. 217N-2, as it is slower and has a worse climb rate than the Ki-45 tei Toryu.
You need to set the key to use this, it comes without a key by default.
Nice story! We have all been noobs and even if it can get frustrating when someone in your team messes up, they will eventually learn and do things right. We have a guy in our clan who is very talented at explaining the raid mechanics over and over again, I really appreciate him for being so patient. And some of the funniest moments happened during the raids (example here: http://coub.com/view/dmzi3 ) so I almost always jump in when I get an invite, even if I prefer playing crucible most of the time. I think those shows are my #1 and #2 of the season. As you can tell from that I'm a sucker for that good ol' moe, and my god if those shows aren't what I'd kill for.
Hikari from Demi-Chan got added to my favorites after 2 eps, and Satou the succubus is wonderful. They also have a buff guy voiced by Suwabe Junichi saying Sex thrice with a seductive voice.
Kobayashi-san is great as well. Tohru, the Maid Dragon, is silly as fuck when she goes from "I could cause armageddon" to "I love Kobayashi with all my heart" in a heartbeat. They also have Ono Dragonsuke, and I'm a sucker for that guy. Kobayashi herself is pretty cool, she's funny and relatable as the only normal human in a life of mighty dragons. It also has this glorious fight scene from episode 2, might not wanna watch it if you wanna save it until you watch the series. Kanna the goth-loli is the cutest thing ever. That is all.
If I could tempt you even the slightest amount to watch these shows my mission would be accomplished, but I assume that you, like me, prefer watching completed shows. I've completely sold out this season, though.

When you deploy:
Go for Reapers(you can stunlock them with melee and your Leadwall gets them from roofs on Wargames),
Stalkers(you dispose 3 drop pods worth of them with one swing, making you the best titan to deal with them),
Plasma Drones(there is a very neat spot that makes Homestead's Wasps Nest -wave 3- a breeze for Ronin. I'll post the corresponding Gif later) and Infantry(just mind their Charged Rifles-approach them blocking and move from side to side, especially on Master).
Regarding Titans:
Do not go and just blindly 1v1 them, you will lose too much HP. Use cover, Leadwall, Arc Traps, Arc Waves to hit them from afar and melee when they get stunned from your attacks. Save the Phase Shift for them fighting back, Sword Block their attacks if they caught you.
The above-mentioned tactic works against Ronins(NOT THE ARC ONES), Monarchs, Brutes(mortar Titans), Sniper Northstars and Tones, <2 Legions and Nuke Legions.
Aprroach other Titans with someone attacking them first, just backstab and Arc Wave the crap out of them. Save dashes for Tripwires, Scorches doing the good-ol shieldmelting and Arc Titans getting too close.Oh, and for them meleeing you back, ofc.
On the subject of Arc Titans: all same as Ronin, but withoit melee: Leadwall whem, block their Leadwall, repeat. Not sure, but your Arc Wave might slow them, need u/Thievasaurus to confirm.

When you get core, save it for >4 Titans or for after the little in-wave pause. Try not to approach Titan groups from the front to avoid aggro, run with block if cannot do otherwise(running with block is good anyway, you have 300 dashes and 90% dmg reduction) and follow the same dash-saving rules as mentioned.

I really hope none of the characters will be too much like any characters in Melee/other Smash games.
If the sword fighter has a lot of moves straight taken from Marth, and if Kidd has Illusion/FireFox for his recovery and "short hop double lasers" and stuff like that I'm gonna be pretty disappointed.
Same with Ashani. I really don't want her to have Falcon's nair or knee, or Falcon Punch, or command grab recovery.. I want her to be her own character. When they first revealed her with some super early alpha model in their 3rd Dev Vlog (which has since been taken down from YouTube) they had an early idle animation for her and made her do the Falcon Punch.. which I hope won't actually be one of her moves. You can kind of see it here though it cuts of early.

It anviliciously rehashes a message we all already know without addressing the realities of the situation. Instead it relies on the "everyone is bigoted" message and tries to run allegories for real world situations that ignore the context of those real world situations. Calling a bunny "cute" isn't a good allegory for n-word privileges because the use of the N word comes from a place of hate. The entire principle of modern words being "unacceptable" to use is because of their implications and history of hate, whereas the film portrays "n-word privileges" as "rules for thee but not for me".
In its attempts to rehash the already done better messages into a "child friendly" format the film completely strips out any of the context.
Most tellingly it undermines its own message by making all of the characters stereotypical. Whereas the very point of "Dear White People" is that those most outspoken about prejudice can be guilty of it themselves, but this doesn't inherently make them bad people.
Where Zootopia says "everyone's racist so let's get along" Dear White People challenges how our society and we as individuals view prejudice at its core
Unfortunatly, it's a common situation in Russia, even in big civilised cities. And this situation took place in a country town Tver (I live in neighboring town, there are also many asshols). Police couldn't do anything, just "talked" to his family (the woman with hammer is his mother and the old woman is his grandmother, all alcoholics). In russia often the only way to solve problems is publicity, so people post smth on the internet (social networks or russian reddit's analogue - pikabu), make a scandal, then government or police suddenly become interested in situation. These and many other things weren't an issue until they put Swift with it's ugly paradigm mix into Xcode. To be honest Apple is fixing quite a lot of these problems though. In 1.0 Swift was something like "JS on MDMA trip thinking it's Scala" and IDE had showstopper issues

This is my first experience with After Effects so please don’t judge too hard. I used Photoshop for preparing graphics and AE to animate it. AE appeared much easier than I expected, all that motion tracking and filters are like magic. The hardest thing was to animate the mask for the street light and honestly I don’t like the result but I don’t have enough knowledge to fix it yet.
BTW, The Martian is really great.

Bullet drop is more realistic, yes, but the way the game is coded means you're aiming at hitboxes a half second behind so it kind of cancels it out.
There is no realism in BF4. this is what vehicles do to the realism.
Big shame part 2 was removed however, as this has the REALLY mind-bending stuff: 3D simulations of hyperbolic space which feel very close to what was presented in Interstellar as The Tesseract.
