Davinci Resolve started life out as a professional color grading suite for film work, is now a free alternative to Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, etc. and shows a lot of promise.
The Blender blocking wasn't a false flag though, Youtube is forcing them to monetize their videos: https://www.blender.org/media-exposure/youtube-blocks-blender-videos-worldwide/
EDIT: I just saw the update 2
While Lightworks is very stable on Linux compared to the open-source offerings, I personally found the interface was not terribly intuitive. I'm sure I could get used to it with time, though.
However, the free version of Blackmagic's DaVinci Resolve is also available on Linux now, which is another superb video editor, and IMO more intuitive to use for a beginner. :)
Yup
It's easier to see if you watch the video reversed
Start around the 2 minute mark:
-Dack gets stabbed in the back by an eternal
-Eternal harvests his spark
-Eternal's head explodes
-The spark flies off in the direction of Bolas, along with several others we can see
Open Broadcast Software for recording in game footage and making close to lossless 60 fps gifs (using Gfycat).
You might not think of screen recording software as a must have, but anything that makes the creation of promo materials/hype content easier seems like a must have to me.
Blender is an open source 3d modelling program that would let you do this and much more.
The learning curve is quite steep, but there are 100s of free tutorials on YouTube and other various sites.
Done in the free open source 3D program Blender
Doing these as a minimalistic architecture sideproject over at mnkmalistic
The greatest aspect of all this is that the software used to make this video is entirely free and open source!
Blender is a phenomenally capable program and there are countless communities, both in person and online (there's even /r/blender), that are incredibly friendly and helpful!
First starting in Blender can be a little daunting, if you're entirely new to 3d modeling, but once you're past the initial getting used to everything stage, it's very fun. I encourage everyone to give it a try.
Just adding to the list.
EDIT: Oops. crap formatting fixed.
Yes, you can even implement it yourself. (Checkout https://www.blender.org/get-involved/developers/)
You could write a script too, the UI is completely scriptable because it is written in python, because doesn't get compiled.
Consider moving to Davinci Resolve 17 (the free version) if you're really considering sticking with filmmaking and editing. Filmora is okay, but really slow, bulky, and buggy. It might feel like a pain in the butt to move over to a new app, but it's going to give you a leg up when you need to move to a more complex piece of software in the future.
Nah I don't think that would work, well maybe this
But still, I appreciate the feedback but I think it's alright the way it is. I can't change it now anyway lol.
DaVinci Resolve, it's free. Just read/watch some tutorials if you're unfamiliar with that sort of software. It's a lot like Adobe's Premiere.
The software is Blender, downloadable for Windows, Mac and Linux. It's nothing new, it's been used by NASA for 3D models and a couple feature films, one of which was Oscar nominated for best animation. It can also be used as a regular video editor like Adobe Premiere Pro or a 3D modeling suite.
That's right! I modeled and rendered everything in an open source software package called Blender. (Except for the texture on the wrapper, I used Photoshop for that)
> Not to mention, open source commonly lacks good uninstallers.
There's a portable version too
Direct download, 64 bit:
https://www.blender.org/download/Blender2.79/blender-2.79b-windows64.zip/
It's actually not anything to do with Piracy after all. See this release from Blender today. Youtube is forcing them to show ads on their content against their will. The Blender founder said no, Youtube turned off their channel in response and then sent a contract for a monetized channel. Looks like Google has fully given up on "don't be evil" and have gone for full "extort open-source foundations trying to offer a free public good so we can make ad money off of their content."
For anyone new to the world of animation, important to know that the software used to do this wonderful short is free (opensource).
And you can download it from here.
Serious answer though, Davinci Resolve 15 is a full non-linear editor, compositor, audio editing, and industry standard color grading suite and is completely free:
https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/davinciresolve/
I've been using After Effects and Premiere for nearly a decade now but recently have started editing and compositing in just Resolve to save time.
I recommend trying it our before you "Yarr"
Edit: As /u/MelatoninKing pointed out, you do need a dedicated graphics card to use this program.
This was almost entirely made in blender. It’s a free program. https://www.blender.org
This guy, Andrew Price, does killer blender tutorials. He’s not the guy that made the set, but he’s really great and easy to watch and learn from. I’m watching his tutorials right now, haha! Start with the donut tutorial. https://youtube.com/user/AndrewPPrice
Why downvote a person who asks a question?
First, record your video. I use Open Broadcaster Software
Then, convert the video into a gif.
> A few years ago Blender still had a reputation for having a inconvenient interface [...] That probably got better since then
They're actually about to introduce a completely new UI with the next release.
I record all of my calls to any organization that says the call is monitored for quality purposes. I don't need to tell them they are being recorded, they just told me they are being recorded so they already know. I use Google voice calling and open broadcast software (https://obsproject.com/) with microphone and speaker feed in the mixer.
AMD cards already have the Video Coding Engine (VCE), and software that can use it already exists (Plays.tv). I don't see what the problem with Plays.tv is, it works absolutely fine for me.
Alternatively, if you don't like Plays.tv for whatever reason, I've heard that the rewrite of OBS (OBS Studio) has VCE support as well. https://obsproject.com/
Check out Blender if you want to dip your feet into 3d art! It's free professional grade software with a great community and tons of resources for beginners. You already have all the expensive bits of the hobby, which is the hardest part really, so you might as well put them to good use!
This is such a gorgeous setup btw. I'm supremely jealous.
This sculpture is the prize on my local amateur Starcraft 2 tournament. I made it myself. The base is Tychus Findlay action figure, infested parts are made of polymer clay. Gold paint and wooden stand.
Rotating video: http://coub.com/view/1p7vio6
Well I usually watch True Detective on T.V, but once I saw someone wanted a gif made, I went and loaded up the episode on HBO GO, ran a screen recording software called OBS, recorded the part I wanted, then I converted it to an mp4 using a program called format factory (which also allowed me to cut the video) and then I uploaded it straight to gfycat! Whole process probably took 5 minutes.
I tried to do that on coub, but I had to remove the first part with the kill, cause I failed to find a way to start music from the center of the video. Here is the result
Only thing I do with the shadowplay footage is edit and render to .mp4 with streamclip at 90% quality using Apple MPEG4 compressor at original zoom/frame size, uploaded result directly to gfycat, didn't change any of the other settings/options.
>She's a SJW, she's always bothered. It's best to avoid them, they're bitter that no man finds them desirable.
every time, these guys remind me of this guy every single time
you'd think they'd at least try for some less tired material
You could download Blender yourself and try it. Though if you're a complete beginner I'd recommend his beginner series where he shows you how to do a basic donut scene. It's a really nice way to get your foot inside the door of 3D computer graphics.
Don't forget to post your result to /r/blender for that sweet karma too.
Youtube also tried to force an ad partnership on the Blender foundation (they develop the Blender 3D rendering software) because they had no ads, but were a huge channel
https://www.blender.org/media-exposure/youtube-blocks-blender-videos-worldwide/
I mean, it takes literally no effort. See?
Oddly enough I noticed that the sound of the twinkle in Mario's eye is not played in reverse. You can hear what it should sound like in the video I linked
Or if you are cheap like me, get Sculptris, which is totally free.
http://pixologic.com/sculptris/
I've never done 3D sculpting in my life. Took me a few hours to get the hang of the controls and tools of Sculptris and from there on I was creating pretty decent 3D models. Think the creators of Zbrush owns Sculptris now as well.
And if you really want to knock things into 12th gear, get Blender to pretty much bring your 3D sculptures to life!
Also totally free
If we can get Vulkan to take off instead of DX12 gamers will switch to Linux. Gamers make a lot of videos so they will want video editing software on Linux. Blackmagic Design already has DaVinci Resolve and Fusion for Linux (and it's free for the most part).
That will cause Adobe to lose their monopoly on video production. Adobe won't be having any of that so Adobe CC will be coming to Linux. That will cause a lot of other people to switch to Linux since they don't need to keep Windows around for Adobe software. It will be a snowball effect and before you know it only grandma and businesses will use Windows.
Then, Novell/Micro Focus (apparently they got bought) makes a replacement for Windows domain in Linux and businesses start switching over. The only Windows machines that are kept around are for running legacy systems. 10 years later it's just as hard to find someone to manage a Windows machine as it is to find someone proficient in COBOL.
Microsoft will then join Intel in the crying corner while everyone is using glued together CPUs running Linux. All will be well in the world.
Epic gives 1.2 million to the blender foundation (a free 3D modelling software). To put things in perspective, they currently receive 43169$ / month from donation. Yet somehow, people managed to turn this into a REEEE epic bad.
It does indeed do video editing!
Kdenlive and OpenShot are probably the best option available. This is decent breakdown of them and others. https://opensource.com/article/18/4/new-state-video-editing-linux
Their channel has been restored hours before this post. Blender has updated their news in order to describe what is happening https://www.blender.org/media-exposure/youtube-blocks-blender-videos-worldwide/ .
I'm not even that into anime, I just want an adorable androgynous cat person to bite my ears
Edit: It's better with sound!
You can use FRAPS or Open Broadcaster Software to capture your game/screen, saving it to your disk.
You can then go to www.gfycat.com and click "Upload a GIF" or something similar. The max video duration is 15 seconds.
Here's a quick guide for OBS.
I stream to twitch.tv with OBS so I got my video from my own archive :-).
Open Broadcaster Software can be set up to do file-output instead of streaming.
I don't know any others that won't watermark your recording...but I'm sure there are more out there.
This was resolved over a week ago at this point and is not news.
https://www.blender.org/media-exposure/youtube-blocks-blender-videos-worldwide/
tl;dr: corner cases and a bad UI led to an unfortunate but unintended situation that has since been corrected
This is a 3D render of the Orion! Here is an album with a clay render to prove that it's not real ;)
I made the render in blender, a free and open source 3D modeling program (textures were done in Photoshop). I learned the basics of blender when I was 13 and had no social life, and since then I have been doing some things with on and off it in my free time, but not very consistently. Right now I'm trying to get back into it after a few years of not using it, so I thought I'd model a simple small watch.
I don't own the Orion and have never seen it IRL, so this was a fun way to kind of get to know the watch. I think I'm going to do this with a few other watches as well, the Max Bill may be next...
Your absolute best bet is to stop using FRAPS. It's a great program that records video in an AMAZING quality, but that's because it's completely and totally uncompressed.
A wonderful free alternative is Open Broadcaster Software. It's made for livestreaming, but it also has the ability to record video like FRAPS. It's got a few settings you can tinker with to adjust quality and size. The best part is that it's completely free, no limited trial BS. If you want an example of some footage captured using OBS, you can check out an unreleased Let's Play I recorded here.
I have no idea where to put this (if I should post it somewhere else please let me know) but I reversed Final Destination like some other person did, except theirs had fighting sound effects/voices/etc. blocking the sound somewhat. The second half is definitely an intentional reverse, it's pretty cool Thanks to Bowser Zeki for posting the original. https://www.kapwing.com/videos/5bf8e0023a4f090013ac620f
Although i've been using Vegas for about 7 years and do recommend it there are some other options for people who wouldnt want to spend money or pirate!
I highly recommend DaVinci Resolve, which can be found here https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/davinciresolve which is a FREE software for editing! They also have a pay version which has got a little bit of added features, but the free one works very well.
Premiere Pro is also a fantastic software should you want to pirate, or should you want to spend a lot of money on software.
I still DO recommend Vegas, which is the program i personally use.
My recommendation is to see a good sex counselor or even just a professional family counselor. They're trained to handle this specific issue. I know it may sound embarrassing, but you should realize that you aren't alone. Many religions induce guilt for otherwise normal activities. Get some help to move past yours.
it's software, not a website. It's up to the person hosting the software (e.g. Blender, which hosts an instance due to Youtube trying to force them to monitize awhile back) to ensure that they're not hosting (or directing traffic to) anything illegal.
Trump: "Do you hereby swear fealty to me?"

I don't have specific tutorials I can point you to, unfortunately.
Just as an FYI, Blender isn't an end-all be-all of 3d graphics, just a good, free option. All of the skills you learn are transferable to other programs like 3DS Max and Maya. But those programs are like, super expensive.
The best thing you can do is record one of your games. If that's foreign to you, I recommend getting started with OBS, Open Broadcaster Software. It's easy to download and very simple to use - the only thing you really need to do to set it up is set a hotkey for start and end video, and maybe adjust the bitrate to a lower value if it takes forever for you to upload youtube videos.
Play arena, record one of your games, record your draft even, and let people scrutinize the whole thing. The most likely problem is that one (or more) of these statements:
> I understand how to draft
> I understand importance of curve
> I understand which cards are strong and why
> I understand mana efficiency in game
> I understand trading efficiently
> I understand the important of tempo and board control
...is simply wrong. We can't really know which one, or why, without seeing you make decisions.

TL;DR:
An initial alpha is expected to be released sometime early this year (not with all those features finished yet, of course).
It's AMD Gaming Evolved, not Raptr.
I'd use OBS with the AMD recording patched in though.
Get it here: https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/obs-branch-with-amd-vce-support.13996/
EDIT: Raptr and AMD Gaming Evolved are functionally the same but Raptr is more for general use. AMD Gaming Evolved is specifically used for AMD cards and I doubt it's full of ads.
Blender is a free 3D software.
SFM is short for Source Film Maker.
Basically, the incel here is saying that there aren't any porn of Geralt from the girl's PoV because women are unable of using those softwares. Standard misogynistic bullshit.
You might be interested to hear the story about Blender, the 3D modeling software. Website text version or FOSDEM presentation version In summary Blender was first proprietary software, then the company of lead developer and entrepreneur Ton Roosendaal went bankrupt. He had the parties handle the bankruptcy put a price on the software, and then got the community to crowd-fund a free software version.
As others point out, the promise of continual development seems important here. Too many startup projects started with a free software license, only to stop developing them on favor of proprietary 'enterprise features' that fill the same need. Elasticsearch and Neo4j for example. From that original code community-maintained were branched off, but it is often difficult to keep that going unless there is serious money involved.
Another interesting idea in this space are licences that only keep source code proprietary for a limited amount of time. IIRC Elasticsearch is licensed in such a way that the source code is readable but pretty much proprietary for 2 years, after which it becomes available under an Apache 2.0 license. Perhaps it was a different software, I don't now.
No, OBS studio uses the Windows Foundation Framework as a workaround. It's not a direct VCE implementation.
They are old back by legal issues, because the VCE API is not compatible with the GPL license. Here is the OBS dev talking about it
>I see people saying that the media foundation version is terrible. I am aware that the media foundation encoder is terrible. Media foundation encoders really really suck. Don't worry, I know. We were able to replace the NVENC/QSV media foundation encoders with native ones because nvidia/intel gave them compatible licenses with open source software, but we still can't just outright distribute full VCE support (merge jackun's awesome stuff) because AMD hasn't yet made it compatible. It's mostly just licensing/copyright issues at this point.
I have Int'l league pass, so every game is available and archived immediately.
I have the game I'm watching on my laptop, and then I have OBS on my second monitor. When I see something cool I rewind 10 or so seconds and hit record. It saves the clip to my laptop immediately so I just upload it to streamable. I have a very favourable university schedule so I have time to catch pretty much every game.
Probably proud of *getting a 98 on my Economics final and scraping a B in physics to get into Uni and avoid disappointing my parents
> Blender
The Librem 5 does not meet the minimum hardware requirements.
> Wine (for Windows software) is entirely unavailable
Most Windows software do not have ARM-compatible versions.
> no true shortcuts
Phones don't have keyboards anymore, except in some very rare exceptions. Though, someone with Pine64 is working on a keyboard attachment for the Pinephone, so that's good.
The Blender project refused to monetize their videos. Here's a blender.org post about it:
https://www.blender.org/media-exposure/youtube-blocks-blender-videos-worldwide/
At the same time, Youtube deleted all of MIT's opencourseware videos too. For the same reason.
https://www.dailydot.com/debug/youtube-mit-opencourseware-blender-foundation-blocked/
Lucha Underground features:
Even if you don't think you like wrestling, I recommend giving the first couple episodes a shot. It is silly, extremely awesome fun. And it is filmed much more like a one hour TV show than a traditional wrestling product.
*citation needed.
Youtube is so big they have bots running most of their video actions. The occams razor of Youtube is probably the simplest: the bot fucked up. I don't think it's helpful to assume ill intent when incompetency will fit.
EDIT: After an update, seems it's a combination of "bad UIs, wrong error messages, ignorant support desks and our non-standard decision to not monetize a popular Youtube channel."
> The person who comes up with an idea like that won't be very excited on their own un till they find out that people are willing to pay a good amount to buy their technology.
Why do you think this? Is it because money is the only thing that would drive you, so you assume that will be true for everyone?
This is Blender. It is industry-leading 3D modelling software developed by the best and brightest in the field, and it's entirely open source. It's free to anyone who wants it, and it is continuously updated and improved by a community of passionate and dedicated people. Blender stands as a shining example that legions of people are motivated by things other than monetary gain.
Depends on your specs, but you can get OBS for free and switch between whether or not you want to stream for twitch/youtube/etc or record in local high-res. There's a difference in settings because your viewers won't be able to match what is required to see what you can stream/record in high-res.
Lots of customizable features (custom overlay-friendly, scrolling text widgets for donator shoutouts, etc), but it's not very new-user friendly (but there are tons of guides out there to do what you want). If you do choose OBS - check this thread out. Keep in mind, you will need asstons of hard drive space while recording with this setup or clean out recordings often. A 15 minute recording used about 4GB of space, recording 1080p@30fps and some settings changes to up the audio quality.
If you want to take it a step further, also grab a video editing program like Sony Vegas so you can cut together your own highlight reels. There are probably other, more 'free' programs you can use instead of Vegas, but I started with that and it's pretty amazing.

I think it's a reference to the TikTok Hype House that is located in Los Angeles, California, USA: https://www.kapwing.com/resources/tiktok-houses-list/#hype-house
I'll run the blender benchmark in both Configurations. Is there anything else you're particularly interested in?
My build is this:Ryzen mini ripper but I've changed the ram: I have 2x8gb sticks of Kingston hyper X 3200mhz and 2x16gb Kingston hyper clx 3000mhz but I'm pretty certain I can set the XMP so the ram performs the same except being in dual channel or not.
Are there any other synthetic benchmarks you particularly want me to run?
At least the Blender Foundation block is an unrelated issue. They refused to turn on monetization & ads on the channel since it is non-profit. Youtube has not given a proper response.
https://www.blender.org/media-exposure/youtube-blocks-blender-videos-worldwide/
Really nice work!
Definitely learn Blender as you clearly have a talent for 3D modelling/scene creation. BlenderGuru's Tutorials are a great start!
You'll do way more in a fraction of the time very quickly!
Open Broadcast Software (referred to as OBS) is the most common software used by twitch streamers and people who record and upload pc games. Their screen capture setting is pretty decent as well
Link here: https://obsproject.com/
This will probably be buried, but there is an awesome free game/screen recording/streaming software called Open Broadcaster. It works realllllyyyyy great, and it's open source!
LINK!
> I don't really like recording everything when I play, just the last minute or so so I can go back and capture a sweet play.
Never tried it, but OBS can do that as well.
So, no 'professional-grade tools that may not be available to the rest of the class', but what about something like Blender, which is completely free? Or would he then say that the 'rest of the class' doesn't have computer access?
Erinnert ein wenig an die Sache mit youtube und blender. Ist ein Produkt auf googles Plattform erfolgreich und weigert sich zu monetarisieren wird es halt rausgeschmissen.
Apparently it's a misunderstanding: YouTube requires the Blender channel to accept new Terms&Conditions, but that requirement is only visible on a page they never visit ("Content Manager"), and the error message was just confusing.
Ton accepted the new Terms&Conditions, videos are already visible, but playing them doesn't work for me yet.
Obviously it's still great if the Blender Foundation don't need to depend on YouTube to stream their videos, but at least they don't have to figure things out in a hurry and can take their time while their YouTube channel is up.
He built it with Lego Digital Designer, a software dedicated to Lego building. He then exported the model to Blender, a 3D rendering software.
That's not remotely what's happening here. They're supporting a feature any more. That's all that's happening. They're not putting Godot into Blender. They're just saying "we're not supporting this thing any more, but if you need an open source game engine, we recommend this instead". They're not even distributing Godot. They have no relationship with Godot any more than GIMP or Krita have a relationship with Godot.
Furthermore, GPL is just the boogieman here. Unless you're planning on making changes to Blender itself, it has no effect on you whatsoever. Content created with Blender are not beholden to Bleder's licence.
This is no different than "third party licences" section of SO MANY applications. Including the browser you're using right now. Firefox or Chrome do not GPL the text you typed while using them because they happen to use some GPL libs.
It's most likely a 3D render. Whenever such product pictures are too perfect its cgi. Quite popular among tech hardware and its not that much effort for the company since they have 3D designs anyway.
If you want to do something like that try Blender Blender
AGGWRWEREW
You will be able to see the game in a new light due to renewed render and, finally, do what you always wanted to do the most - destroy some buildings at your favourite locations!
Can't wait for this water effects!
HYPE \o/
There's Lightworks, a number of open-source NLEs, and two open-source compositors. /r/Linux_Filmmaking doesn't get much traffic, but covers this subject.
Blender Game Engine was removed a whole year before they received the grant, not after. And to think that such engine could ever pose a threat to Unreal is beyond reason.
Adobe giving money to the Blender Foundation means nothing, they will probably push for more integration with this or that software, that's it, but these sponsorships are mainly for PR, Blender has go to a point where if you're not supporting it you're not one of the cool cats.
They were never required to give money in order to inject malicious code, if they wanted to, they just needed to hire a programmer and make sure he got hired by the BF so that he could work from inside, and even that is not needed as sometimes external code gets integrated into the official branch anyway, develop an exciting enough feature, assure continued support, and there you go, your code is now into the official branch.
Same goes for the spyware, when a software is open source everybody can have a look at it and alert the community in case they find something fishy, and I still cannot see the connection with the money Adobe has decided to give, this could happen in any case.
Anything can happen at any time, sure, but Adobe cannot purchase Blender, they can't make it closed, the only chance to see Blender closing its code is if all the programmers that ever contributed code would agree to switch license, we're talking hundreds if not thousands of people. Even so, every single bit of code already released under GPL would still be downloadable and usable without restrictions. It's possible to be struck by lightning 9 times in a lifetime, but I would not spend my energies worrying about that.
Lots and lots of tutorials and messing around.
I'd recommend checking out some of the tutorials on the official Blender site or the r/blender tutorial wiki
Text from the page
Hello Friends! We would like to continue to brief you about the aircraft which will soon appear in our game. There are many fans of Japanese planes among our players, but there aren’t that many of the aircraft themselves. This is why we try to expand their tech tree and gradually add new planes to the game. Say hello to the A7M2 fighter!
Kirill "Lassar" Vostretsov, Game Designer:
>Unfortunately, the Japanese aviation tech tree does not have enough aircraft at every rank, which is something that we are trying to rectify. We have already added the A7M1 - the prototype of the carrier fighter as a premium plane. We are now adding the A7M2 to the main line of Japanese carrier fighters. The aircraft has excellent technical and flight characteristics and we are sure that our players will enjoy it.
>Some of the external features of its predecessor the A6M can be seen in the A7M2. However, the aircraft definitely increased in size and changed its shape. The A7M2’s size and wingspan are really large for a carrier based aircraft..
Sergei Volkov, Lead Flight-model designer:
> The production variant of the A7M with index number 2. Unlike the prototype (which you already know about), this aircraft had the more powerful MK9A engine with an output of 2200 hp and a reinforced frame. The weight increase is compensated for by the new engine, so the aircraft inherited all of the best characteristics of its predecessor. The maximum speed has increased to 629 km/h while the climb rate has remained the same. There have also been no changes to the handling and maneuverability of the plane. This will be a very powerful weapon even if it is in the hands of an inexperienced pilot, so imagine what a real Samurai will be able to do with it!.
Yeah, Filmora's ass when you use it for free.
There are plenty of free video editors out there that you can do simple stuff with.
If you're trying to do simple stuff, don't worry if a software looks fancy and complex, the simple stuff is simple to do.
Kdenlive is good one and actually free with no restrictions.
If have a bit of know-how, you can sail out into the high seas if you know what I mean wink wink
The main OBS release does not support VCE yet, but there's an experimental branch here that you can try out, if you want.
<strong>Simple Screen Recorder</strong> is by far the best if you want a lot of power but want a simple straight forward approach to the settings.
<strong>Open Broadcaster Software (OBS)</strong> is by far the best and most powerful overall solution for Linux. It is also the most complicated to use. If you want a ton of control and lots of cool features including live overlay images then you want OBS.
Kazam is problematic for me most of the time so I gave up on it.
recordmydesktop - is utter garbage whether you use the gtk version or the qt version. In fact, the developer of it agrees and abandoned it years ago. All articles that still mention this app as a suggestion proves they have no idea what they are talking about and those people should be ignored.
Vokoscreen is another option but I've never been able to get it to work, I'm not sure why but it would just constantly crash on me so I gave up on it as well.
They do employ artists alongside their development team in the form of the open movie projects https://www.blender.org/about/projects/ . Especially with the 2.8 code quest that just occurred these artists provide feedback to the core development team as well as the community issue trackers. I also think insinuating that they all have mental health issues is rather uncalled for.
Start with duolingo, memrise, every day. Write with people on HelloTalk. Use russian internet, get a book.
Have reasonable expectations, this summarizes my experience 😃 http://coub.com/view/xdrob
try using Open Broadcaster Software and then googling some settings. it's a much better program IMO and it's free with no watermarks. it's mainly used for streaming though so us it however you want.
Hi there! I have over 1k working hours in Silo 2, and I can safely say this is probably not what you're looking for. (Note: Silo 2 is strictly for modeling, and not animation or even rendering.)
I love silo, I really do. It has the best workflow of any 3D program I've used. However, I can not honestly recommend it to anybody.
The biggest reason for this is because there is no developer support for the program anymore. The last update was in January of 2015, and the most recent update before that was in 2012. The devs have completely abandoned this software. It still has multiple bugs that cause it to crash, and they will never be fixed.
The other reason is that there is little to no reference material for how to use the damn thing. There is one single book that you can order off of amazon. That's it.
Instead, I'd recommend you try out Blender. It's free, constantly updated, has a huge, friendly community, and a wide variety of tutorials for anything you need help with. It does modeling, animation, and rendering and is beginner friendly.
Today we are introducing a legendary amphibious soviet tank - the PT-76.
Vyacheslav Bulannikov, Game-designer.
The PT-76 is an amphibious tank that was put into service in the USSR in 1951. This legendary vehicle will join rank IV of the Soviet light tanks line. Though the tank is protected only by thin bullet-proof armour, its maneuverability, low profile and rapid firing gun will allow this machine to stand against the most dangerous of enemies. Basic ammo for this tank is post-war APCR round and a more powerful HEAT round will be able to penetrate up to 200mm of armour. Anticipating most popular question - will it be amphibious? Not at the start, but it is possible in the future.
Svetlana Smirnova, Artist:
The PT-76 was designed as an amphibious tank. Because of that, angles of the upper and lower armour plates of the tank’s hull are extremely large. The armour is very thin but if you are fortunate enough the tank may ricochet enemy rounds upwards into to the sky or to the ground. But of course this light vehicle should not rely solely on its armour. This machine is a very maneuverable (though not very fast) amphibious tank.
Когда то поляки к чертям спалили посольство России. И ничего, Польша сейчас в ЕС и никто о том случае и не вспоминает. Кстати произошло это 11 ноября 2013 года в День Независимости Польши.
I don't think you did anything wrong, but as with all things, no matter how good, there are areas that can be improved.
This is only my opinion and isn't really worth much so take it for what it is worth.
Over all I think you did a great job. However, in some of the outdoor scenes the lighting was a little flat; this is due to time of day, overcast skies and light source. There are plugins and settings that can up the contrast just a bit to give it a little more dramatic feel. But this is an artistic choice and dependent on what you are trying to convey to the audience it is your decision.
Also the camera may have been on auto focus as in several scenes it looked like the camera was searching for a focal target. Generally it is best to do a manual focus and change it manually to pull in your depth of field or.... apply a blur effect in post. In this way you have more control over the scene. A free program that can help with color, lighting & depth of field focus in post https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/davinciresolve
But still over all you did a good job.
Unless you're a professional colorist, you don't need powerful coloring hardware. If you can run After Effects, you can certainly run the standard version of Resolve 12, which is free.
After briefly reading a few articles regarding this post, I have come to the conclusion that Fusion 7 is permanently and forever free, starting today. Fusion 7 Studio is still $995 and can only be legally obtained by purchasing it through authorized retailers. It is also worth mentioning that Blackmagic Design also offers a free lite version of another product called DaVinci Resolve, which is a high-end color correction suite designed for professional colorists.
Basically this same question was asked roughly a day ago. Not knocking your post, I am just directing you to a thread that already has a lot of your concerns and curiosities answered.

Edit - Also, if you are serious about getting them flairs, if you notice the top comment there, /u/i_practice_santeria is requesting a 5 minute replay clip from op to judge and critique. Since that may be kinda difficult to do within the limitations of the tagpro replay extension, instead -- assuming you have Windows -- download OBS and watch a quick, recent, tutorial on YouTube about how to set it up to record. Record a typical pub game or two of yours, dont cherry-pick one that you did exceptionally well in or anything. Then upload it to YouTube and pm it to me and I will be happy to give you some tips/advice.
Edit #2 - Damn, -2 karma almost immediately for this comment?! What the hell did I do to you, guys!? How will I get that karmas back?
Made in Blender i always recommend the same Beginner Tutorial for that. But the program or technique is much less important than the understanding of light and composition for something like this. And that needs practice and experience. I highly recommend picking up photography for that. Thank you so much :)
Again with the fake ass MGP bro... Here
Already got your ass in your last post so don't try to fight it
You can get it here
The OBS rewrite actually uses x264 to encode the video. OBS's issue with audio sync was caused by a bug in it's code that was fixed a few month ago.
ffmpeg was mostly used for audio sampling and the GPL AAC encoder, although with a recent commit, it can used for local video recording.
Additionally, the biggest issue with audio sync with ffmpeg solutions was/is using -r to indicate framerate instead of -framerate. I haven't had an issue with audio sync since switching.
