The devs at Epic have mentioned it before. The playable area is 5.5km^2 (under the "Building and Rendering a Large Map" section).
thanks! gonna use this as a moment to ramble about my feelings on 'style'. I used to do really detailed work, concept art type stuff etc, but it got to the point where I dreaded making stuff because it was such hard work to make it look 'good enough'. Then I tried webcomics and just had fun with it, I hardly thought about the way it looked, I instead thought about the way it communicates. The early episodes are really rough sketches, but the visual style has developed naturally around the ideas and feelings. If there are any artists reading this who are concerned with "How to find my style?" I highly recommend you immediately focus on the ideas and feelings you are trying to communicate and don't think about the way it looks stylistically, your own style will naturally appear as you learn to communicate ideas better. Just draw what you love and share it with communities you honestly think might like it too.
It's just because it's more complex than your standard AAA title, they explained it here. While it may be hard to grasp at the start, you will notice the benefits this entails once you "get it".
I understand why some people are pessimistic, there have been other promising games that amounted to nothing but a cash grab.
I agree with you though and I'm optimistic. Game development takes time. There's no magic button called "Optimize". Bluehole has been working hard on the 1.0 release. The Unreal engine has been updated with improvements specifically designed for 100 player battle royale game-modes (Thanks Fortnite).
I still have a ton of fun with the game in it's current state and I look forward to future updates. If the 1.0 release turns out to be awful, then I'll change my tone but let's at least give them a chance.
Been sponsored by NordVPN and they do have a great product; However as honesty is always more important than money - I have rather recently discovered Exitlag being a more stable GAMING VPN.
It is not going to do your other VPN tasks but if you only need it for PUBG/games then I'd go with Exitlag.
45mm is 1.77 inches in diameter. For reference, these hoop earrings are the same diameter of this projectile. A round that large would be for vehicle mounted weaponry, to be used against other vehicles.
Only thing I do with the shadowplay footage is edit and render to .mp4 with streamclip at 90% quality using Apple MPEG4 compressor at original zoom/frame size, uploaded result directly to gfycat, didn't change any of the other settings/options.
Not that I expect streamers to understand this, but that's not how AWS works.
With AWS, you don't typically purchase hosts and then add instances to that single host. You can do that through the Dedicated Hosts service, but that's far from typical and is much more difficult to manage as you need to employ people familiar with its nuances. Usually dedicated hosts are used when an organization has some weird licensing issue; for example, if your Oracle license costs $X per CPU that it could possibly run on (yes, that is one of their pricing models) you may want to use a dedicated host to control that CPU count.
Usually you simply purchase instances and allow Amazon to decide which host they will run on. This makes it essentially impossible for you to run into an overcrowding issue.
The only problem I could see with AWS that would match what you described is if Bluehole was using undersized instance types. They could have used oversized instances for the closed alpha, and since they were only running a few servers the extra cost wasn't a problem. For the EA launch, though, they probably would have switched to instances with a tighter tolerance in order to save money. Those instances are probably just barely powerful enough to accommodate the game server, but they cost a lot less. If you're going to launch an autoscaling infrastructure you want to get the cost just right, because paying an extra $0.10 per hour per server across 200 servers costs you $14,400 a month that you don't need to spend -- but sometimes that 200 scales up to 2,000 or even 20,000, which is good because it means your game is popular, but it's also bad because you're spending a ton of extra money.
TL;DR: it's possible that the AWS instances are undersized, but the streamers probably don't know what they're talking about.
I am a music producer and I am upvoting this. Seriously I fear for those dummies who don't get it, but we can't fix stupid, so why can't we please fix the fucking sound. It's so frustrating to constantly tweak sound as I'm playing every game, but I do it for sake of protecting ears. They have millions of dollars it's not that fucking hard contract someone to fix a couple sound files. Fuck!
Also a fix (actual earplugs)
I don't think there is a code redemption function in the mobile app, but you can visit this in a mobile browser and do it there: https://store.steampowered.com/account/registerkey
I did mine that way just now.
I would love to see a Trello page for PUBG. God I love that website so much!
Keeping your players informed is never a bad thing, and the more feedback that you get about ideas, the better!
You can't purchase the buildings, it's actually a modular kit.

Although i've been using Vegas for about 7 years and do recommend it there are some other options for people who wouldnt want to spend money or pirate!
I highly recommend DaVinci Resolve, which can be found here https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/davinciresolve which is a FREE software for editing! They also have a pay version which has got a little bit of added features, but the free one works very well.
Premiere Pro is also a fantastic software should you want to pirate, or should you want to spend a lot of money on software.
I still DO recommend Vegas, which is the program i personally use.
PUBG mobile is made by Tencent, a massive Chinese tech company with over 500 billion $ behind them. They own 10% of bluehole and 48% of epic gaming (fornite) and 100% of LOL.

4.18 will release this month, and 4.19 in the near future containing optimizations that they did for Fortnite.
So obviously the hope is that the jump from 4.14 to 4.18 (or .19) while not huge in version numbers - will be big on improvements.
I would reccommend ShareX over Gyazo. It autouploads to imgur, can capture over fullscreen applications, can record GIF's and Videos. Much better IMO. AND you can edit pictures in the app without paying
Well AWS is the largest cloud provider and having hundreds of extra servers available shouldn't be a big deal for them, considering Auto Scaling is one of the core features of any cloud provider these days.
I'm just surprised AWS is having trouble with their demand for servers.

https://dayz.com/blog/0-63-stress-tests
If you own it already, you can stress test the latest build. It is SO MUCH BETTER than ever before. And since there are limited stress test servers, you will be able to jump into nearly full servers and gain that experience you wanted.
Bullshit. If the penalty for anyone else is a ban then he deserves the same thing. And team killing is against the rules that they just tweeted yesterday. http://playbattlegrounds.com/rulesOfConduct.pu
Just as Battle(non)sense, I used Wireshark. Join a match, start capturing.
Afterwards you can create a graph from the captured data. I used Statistics, IO Graph to create the packets per second graph by filtering on packets received from the gameserver IP, filter: "ip.src == gameserver_ip_here". You can find the gameserver IP in the long list of captured data by looking at the IP that sends lots of UDP packets in the 7000-8000 port range.

Has anyone from bluehole that isn't some community manager or being specifically paid to response to stuff EVER made a comment? Never seen one myself.
This is genuinely why I think the path of exile community is THE BEST. Literally had chris willson (lead designer/producer and creator of poe, the uhh brendan green of poe, I guess. Maybe) respond to me saying that his newly shaved beard/head made him look like an egg.
Like, would any dev ever respond to something that could sound like an insult to someones damn facial hair on any reddit?
Only seen shit like that on path of exile.
found it, hehe.
With the prices of components, some alienware deals are better than you can build your own. This one was tempting the crap out of me yesterday; I had to walk away. Thankfully it's expired now.
Aw hell naw. Bruh I migrated an entire project from UDK to U4 and you ain't bullshitting me. That shit was in closed beta until 2014 and even when it was released it was soooooo far from being feature complete.
>and by then it will be time for an upgrade. If you cant see that, you're blind.
Do you have even the slightest grasp about what you are talking about? Have you seen the amount of features they've been pushing every patch in Unreal 4?
It still sucks at foliage and there's no real time GI, not like any of the consoles (or next gen ones) could handle it.
>The needs for pushing the envelope will set a new engine release in the next few years, and im baking on a 2020 announcement/release.
LOL ok. What you want =/= reality.
> he made the ps4 and the switch release look actually worse than they were.
Umm ok IDK about the PS4 one, but the switch release was pretty sketchy. Yeah it sold well, but breath of the wild had a bunch of weird crashes and the biggest issue was people scratching the fuck out of their screens when docking/undocking the switch. There were some joycon connectivity issues people complained about.
Scratching is still a major problem. Hence why this screen protector is a massive seller with 8500 reviews and the switch itself on amazon only has 1500 to 2000 reviews lol.
He highlights issues that companies try to sweep under the rug. Wikipedia even backs up his video talking about the release issues.
Is the switch selling well and doing great? Yeah. Did it have some bad press around launch and a bunch of people bitching about REAL issues? Yeah.
It's not an Easter Egg, this is what they actually look like in real life
I've got it working in my UE4 game but its highly taxing, though super sexy. With people currently complaining about optimization, I wouldn't do it if I were them.
Regarding the comments about chunks - that is indeed how you do it, but its still taxing as hell to propagate the fire and send it to all of the clients.
Also, you have to get rid of UE4's native foliage which is highly optimized and use your own grass solution.
This is what they would/should use if they decide to do it. Its pretty amazing. Grass bends down as you walk through it too. its not multiplayer ready, so it would take some serious work.

The 2018 Roadmap
>Today, I finally get to talk to you about our vision and roadmap for 2018. We have come a long way over the past 2 years and have learned so much. We’ve done a lot of planning over the last two months, and today we reveal how we want PUBG to evolve in 2018. We’ve worked hard over the past 2 years to build a good foundation for the most realistic Battle Royale experience out there.
straight from Green's keyboard.
Sound in this game has no issues. It just does things differently than most games when it comes to audio, it's much more realistic.
Take a look at this post, it may help you understand it better: http://playbattlegrounds.com/news/65.pu
Also, disable any surround sound processing on your headphones (7.x or 5.x) this game only supports stereo. That fixes a lot of problems with pinpointing the gunshot as well
Re-read his second paragraph you are simply taking what he said out of context in a rush to make a reply.
You must of missed the debacle that was all to do with the asset flipping and how much of a performance hit the store bought assets were considering they were not even reducing the poly count of the stuff they were buying, so when it comes to just blindly importing models into a multiplayer game people were hitting really low fps numbers because of pure laziness.
This should look familiar to you as a prime example of just one of the store bought assests. https://www.unrealengine.com/marketplace/old-train-factory
What you describe is definitely a factor in performance. As an example you may recognize this model whose artist said: > The pack would need to be heavily down-graded for games. I would not advise using it unless you make it smaller and much less polygons.
because what is one building in pubg was designed to be the entire map for game devs to work in. I avoid that building just because it makes my otherwise fine FPS grind to ~30 and I have a GTX 970, an 8 core i7, and 32gb RAM with SSD.

Nope, the money only allows them to get more resources with the appropriate knowledge. Doesn't make it easier. Doesn't make anybody work faster either, as explained in The Mythical Man-Month.
The easiest way to identify korean is by the circles and ovals in the characters. Check it out.
If the letters are well defined and sort of bubbly and fat with distinct circles and ovals then it's Korean. If it's well defined with more simplistic spaced out swooshing characters then it's Japanese Hiragana. If it looks like it should be scrolling down a screen in the fucking matrix it's probably standard Chinese or Japanese Kanji. I have no idea how to distinguish between the oral languages. At this point whenever I see something Asian within the context of a multiplayer video game I just automatically assume Korean.
Anyways, don't let these other dick bags get to you. They're making a big deal out of it but it's unlikely they could distinguish Japanese from Chinese or Punjabi from Hindi.
I remember back in the early 2000's we'd play flash games to work on our aiming. Here is a link with a few.
The best way to improve your aiming is to play. But if you want to work on your aiming without the scavenging aspect then I would highly recommend downloading Arma 3 and try finding a deathmatch server. That way you have a game with relatively the same physics but you respawn quickly after dying.
The general philosophy in the game industry is that if it's not your job to talk to players, less interaction is better.
Anything a developer say is viewed by the community as a promise, but the reality is that things change in game development. Not everything on a dev's wishlist is feasible, or even possible. But as soon as they say "I'd like to do this", the community forms expectations. And those expectations don't really change.
Would a BlueHole dev commenting on their process really improve the situation? I doubt it. What it would do is open them up to abuse from thousands of angry people. In time, constantly being singled out for anything people are upset about in the game can hurt morale and negatively affect the employee's work. And for what gain? I guarantee you they already hear the complaints, and they're already working on it. It wouldn't reduce the time it will take them to fix their networking issues.
If you're interested about some insight into the matter, here's a couple of articles about it:

"we reserve the right to suspend disruptive users even if their behaviour doesn’t fall under any of the above rules directly. Be nice, play fair and respect others and yourself."
Yes, because they weren't made to be put in a game like pubg. Small power between Mylta power plant and Mylta was a whole level in itself, the polygon count was ridiculous.
Bluehole is not doing anything. They are just sitting on their mountain of cash and waiting for Epic to fix it for them. https://www.unrealengine.com/en-US/blog/unreal-engine-improvements-for-fortnite-battle-royale
You can see UE4's pricing online. You can either pay 5% of sales or you can get a custom license for an undisclosed price. Games with multi-million dollar budgets will opt in for the flat license so we don't know how much Bluehole paid, but I remember hearing that flat licenses are in the $200-400K range
https://www.unrealengine.com/marketplace/military-props-pack
That's exactly what the game is, and it's exactly why so many things you can't jump over that you should be able to, or you can't duck under for cover. It's also why the performance is fucking dogshit because most things are a high-poly high-texture mess that looks great on a website but when there's 400 AK's spawning in the map with poor optimisation it makes the game run like crap.
I used to play Sauerbraten a lot, and one of the great things about that game, was that it had a setting that allowed anyone to record the game data, and then play it back afterward. This allowed to you watch the entire game over again from any player's perspective, or just move the camera freely around the game.
I feel like a similar feature would have been useful in this situation.
I've also thought it would be interesting for PUBG to have a killcam, kind of like in Battlefield, where once you're killed, you briefly see the player who shot you. I've seen so many situations where you're suddenly shot and killed out of nowhere, and you're left thinking, "where the hell did that come from?"
I'm not sure about this specific case, but the consensus seems to be that they have not been and will not be banning people for INI edits unless they are straight up cheating, like removing textures. It's kind of a grey area though. There was a comment from a dev or community guy from Bluehole in one of the INI threads, but I'm having trouble finding it
They usually do, but I don't believe they will be doing so with this patch. From what they've said, it sounds like they won't be making any other major updates to live before the release of 1.0 in December. So yes, there probably will be a gap without vaulting.
Are you mental? The sound is 100% as it is supposed to be. I have no problem at all telling from where I've been hit from, you do know that the sound of bullets whizzing past your ear is perpendicular from where you are being shot from?
You're probably getting a better Idea after looking at this.
When I get shot at, after 1 shot I can tell the general direction the sounds are coming from, after 2-3 bullets I can pretty much pinpoint the exact location I'm being shot from, down to an angle of like 2-3 degrees. Blood splatter is not supposed to directly indicate where you are being shot from, and when enemies have a silencer, you're not supposed to hear the direction other than the bullet whizz- that's the point of the silencer.
This game probably has the best directional sound I have seen in a videogame this far. That said, I heard Arma does a pretty good job at that too, but I haven't played that.
I think your pc is just fine and the game needs to be optimised, This is what I do just run that exe file and the game will close. (I've pinned the exe to my taskbar so I press the windows key and open the exe) it's better than restarting my pc
I am fully aware but the game development team functions as a whole and chooses when to prioritize and release which updates. Don't tell me PU hires groups of fully independent dev teams that just release updates whenever they want...
And are there not new keys keys you can buy for $2.50 to open the new crates? https://kotaku.com/pubg-devs-publish-drop-rates-for-new-loot-boxes-1821952836
I don't know the technicalities, so I'll quote an article.
https://kotaku.com/the-invisible-bunnies-that-power-world-of-warcraft-1791576630
If you don't like the sources dig up an archive link, but the conversation took place on Twitter so it's easy to access the direct source (linked in the article). The direct source, the game developer in question, does check out, Nathaniel Chapman is (was?) a senior encounter designer at Blizzard.
>“A lot of stuff behind the scenes that you wouldn’t expect to be a spell in WoW runs using the spell system,” he said. “Spells need casters, so we often have to rely on spawning in an invisible creature to be the one to actually ‘cast’ the spell. Other things that creatures are good at doing would be hard to implement any other way, so we use an invisible creature instead.”
&
>“Programmer time is extremely valuable, and most of the ‘stuff’ that can be done in a game can be done by NPCs,” said Chapman. “NPCs already have to support things like pathing, casting spells, using weapons, doing various actions to other NPCs, etc. So, while you could in theory have a programmer separately implement every ‘effect’ you wanted in the game with some minor benefit, if you already have a class of thing in a game that can solve your problem, it’s a better use of time to use the existing system.”
Basically instead of creating a whole new thing they utilize existing methods and simply create an entity to trigger it. If you need a "Blizzard" to appear without an obvious entity casting Blizzard, you have an invisible Bunny do it (for example).
>Large 'dropped' asset usage causes the game to get horrible framerates in areas due to the hugely excessive polys, since these assets weren't built with the game in mind.
To further this point, I'll quote a comment on this asset from the dev of said asset:
>The pack would need to be heavily down-graded for games. I would not advise using it unless you make it smaller and much less polygons.
And guess what, that is one of the worst areas in PUBG. It's the refinery east of Mylta, west of the power plant. As soon as I get near it, I drop from 80-90 FPS to 30-40.
That's still "open source" in a way (actually "source available" but for ease of discussion), what you're stating is a function of the terms of license they release it under.
"Epic grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable (except as described in this Agreement) license to use, reproduce, display, perform, and modify the Licensed Technology for any lawful purpose (the “License”)"
https://www.unrealengine.com/eula
The point is the source is available, they can make the changes they need.
what do you mean "zero hackers" in overwatch???
there were a fuck-ton of hackers in Overwatch a while back, and a guy was even arrested for making hacks.

As an OCE player from New Zealand, I have been playing using NordVPN to match me with NA servers just in order to get a more realistic gameplay where I dont get killed by a 'xiao' or a 'TTTTTTTT' or even '2783271389121111' every fucking round on the SEA/AS servers I am forced to join.
I do this because with my gigabit fibre I get 200ms either way on AS or NA servers so I figure if I eliminate the hacker overload then at least I am playing with actual players from the US and it makes the game feel a little like the old days when we had OCE severs. It is the only way I can get chicken dinners unfortunately.
Other than that the only time we get OCE servers is 7pm-Midnight, where we can only join TPP Squads, and I dont enjoy playing with randoms.

Quake Live is still the best Arena FPS out there.
I've tried all the other active ones like Reflex; Toxikk; UT4 or even Quake Champions.
But they all lack that perfect balance and feel of Quake 3.
f.lux is a software to adjust the color of your screen to the daylight. Relaxes your eyes in the evening and makes it more comfortable to sit in front of the screen when it's dark.
It can be toggled on/off with a shortcut. Since the shortcut did not get recognized correctly through MacroDeck I wrote a short script to execute the toggle. I guess this script being executed was recognized by the anticheat. Would be a bit much to ask for the AC to distinguish between cheating scripts and harmless ones, so scripts of all kinds probably are bannable offenses. Not the smartest choice, as you said.
I see some great stuff (Dynamic Res, Landscaper Rendering Optimization) in 4.19 but still no sign of the network stack rework they did for Fortnite to enable 100 players with low latency.
I hope PUBG Corp jumps on 4.19 at least since Dynamic Res would be a huge improvement for the Xbox One builds of the game.

If you download the Reddit Enhancement Suite you can filter posts by keyword.
To do this, once downloaded, click the cog that appears in the upper right corner of reddit near your username. From here click on the RES settings console and then on the left at the bottom click Subreddits. From here click on Filtereddit and you should then see all filter options that are available. You can filter out subs you don't like, keywords you don't want to see, or NSFW content etc.

Fortnight has had access to new netcode improvements on UE4 before other devs.
you are talking about their generic tiers
https://aws.amazon.com/ec2/instance-types/ shows most of the specs. Besides the T2 tier they list the exact cpus. If they are using the T2 tiers then yeah thats one of the many problems since they are designed for burst performance. The better tiers have plenty of power to handle 100 man servers. I will agree that the network performance of the instances might be one of the issues as i've only ever benchmarked throughput (which is very good especially when you get to the tiers running on the 10gbit) and not latency
Well, if you follow them on twitter then you should've seen that they posted a link to the new rules of conduct. (Which i guess the Doc is checking regulary, which means he should've read the rules)
> Please note, these may change from time to time, so it's worth checking back periodically.
I do agree however that they should make the rules readable ingame and that, when the rules get updated, players should be notified.

We probably should, though. There's lots of games that don't require authorization for credit card purchases and are clearing marketed for kids. It's a pretty scummy tactic in general since it feeds off people with gambling addictions, but it's more pronounced in kids.
The most similar mobile game to pubg I found is called Survivor Royale. It's actually pretty fun tbh, except for the random glitches and stuff.
It's children taking some moral stand on Bluehole taking on a policy to ban griefers (stream snipers), so they bomb the reviews. It's basically a joke similar to this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sec.spp.push&hl=en
If you are truly a griefer (stream sniper) then yeah you might get banned. If you just play the game like the overwhelming majority you have no chance of a problem.

Airdrop health is not a bug.. It's a strategy used to bait airdrops.. And this is the live updated page where they resolve community reported bugs https://trello.com/b/Bs7hgkma/fortnite-community-issues
As you can see unable to edit is a top priority issue.
This entry is plagiarized. It is just taken from a stock photo. Takes about a minute to put this texture on the UV.

The game uses AWS to host servers and AWS doesn't have any locations in the middle east, so I don't think it is going to happen any time soon.
https://aws.amazon.com/about-aws/global-infrastructure/
Maybe they'll release the server software at some point to let people host their own servers wherever they want, but until then you're kinda SOL.
I'm talking about server optimization.
If a game isn't optimized (low FPS etc.) a NASA computer won't change that, the game stutters on high end systems.
It's similar with servers, it's not optimized so the servers struggle with it, no matter how expensive they are.
They are using AWS (Amazon Web Services)
You are one of these people with a strong opinion and a loud voice shouting out immediately without knowing anything about it. Well done, I'm sure there was a good reason that you have been suspended.
>Why would buying giant expensive servers not help? Hell, how could it hurt?
Yeah sure. Start having to deal with money and think about buying a titan XP SLI PC because "how could it hurt?" again.
>That's actually hilarious
It's actually a separate game entry on Steam. So you can activate it on the Steam website in browser or I think in the client you click Games>Activate a product on Steam and then enter it.
This is probably going to be super useful for everyone in this thread.
75% of your health is right above the last "tag" in the early access text. So whenever the bar is above this last letter its at 75%.
Yes. See here: https://www.unrealengine.com/en-US/blog/unreal-engine-improvements-for-fortnite-battle-royale
>We recently released a new PvP mode in Fortnite: Battle Royale. This new game mode drops 100 players into a large 5.5 km^2 playable area to duke it out and see who will be the last player standing. The scale of these requirements presented the Fortnite development team with several challenges, which will be discussed here.
This was released in march, v4.19.
More or less.

The changes are in GitHub already, with some being released in 4.18 (which was actually released yesterday), and the rest being released in 4.19.
It can vary depending on the product range: https://aws.amazon.com/ec2/instance-types/
If they used dedicated hosts: https://aws.amazon.com/ec2/dedicated-hosts/pricing/
The price changes per region. So they might be skimping on spec and binning the underspecced machines as people report them.
> Back when I played the DayZ mod I used to daydream about how cool games were going to be in 5-10 years if what I was playing was just a mod! Holy shit I couldn't wait.
I can't relate more :) !
> But now here we are and I don't even really have anything in the foreseeable future to be excited about.
There are still some little dev teams that can fulfill our hopes ! Some people that worked on Project Reality (a BF2 "hardcore" mod back then) are currently working on a game named Squad: https://joinsquad.com There is also Insurgency that went from a HL2 mod to a standalone game: https://newworldinteractive.com/#insurgency
You may want to give a look at these games if (like me) you're tired of the current full auto full yolo gaming state of mind.
It's not worse, it's all shitty, but should PU not say anything when it's directed at him? Also, I'm pretty sure they added rules about abusive chat in game not being allowed (not sure how it'll be enforced for people who spew that shit and the fact that you can't see their name)
I've said it elsewhere but forgot to here, this is the game's Code of Conduct from June, notice anything different?
Ha yeah, sometimes I'll turn my sound up and then have my ears explode when a teammate yells or something.
As for hearing the thump first, that could be from a subsonic gun, like the VSS, vector, etc. Most likely the VSS if it was at any kind of longer range.
Looking at the weapon stats, if the value for initial bullet speed is greater than 340, you'll hear the shot second.
That being said, I saw a comment on this sub where someone claimed that all of the guns in this game are supersonic, regardless of whether they should be or not. I'm pretty sure that's wrong though, as I'm sure I've heard shots before impact as you described, and the devs said "Most of our weapons are supersonic." (emphasis mine)
Edit: Just wanted to add, supersonic guns will also be a good bit louder (even with suppressors), due to the bullet breaking the sound barrier (which a suppressor doesn't silence). That's the loud crack you hear when a gun's fired
You can find a bunch of stuff on their website about the roadmap and visions for the future.

However this is a Battle Royale game so it will mostly be circles getting smaller and fighting until you are the last one standing. However there are already custom games in the game and for the full release they want to have full mod support.
I have almost the same (Gtx 1070, i5 4690k, 8gb ddr3 1600mhz). Some things you can do to get more fps:
-I've found most launch parameters do nothing. -sm4 and -d3d10 are the ones you can try but they might add stuttering.
-Overclock your cpu, I got mine to 4.5GHz with an average cooler at 60ºC ingame.
-In Nvidia Control Panel -> Manage 3d settings -> Program settings -> Pubg. Set threaded optimization on. Click apply.
-Get an SSD if you have none.
-I use Razer Cortex to stop some background stuff to free some RAM.
-I've found this NotCPUCores increases my fps a lot. Launch the game and put TSLGAME.exe as the process name and click optimize. I'd love to hear if this also works for other people.
I currently get 60-75 fps in big cities and firefights and 80+ everywhere else.
It's definitely not hardware related.
This is my setup: https://novabench.com/view/1345238
It's completely overkill with an i7-7820X running at 4.5ghz on 8 cores with an M.2 Samsung 960 SSD.
I still have this problem just as much as my old machine.
watch this once that's done you can create a .bat file to auto run that shit with one click
download nircmd to get access to a commands in cmd
open up notepad, copy the following, change the locations, and save it as 'Pubg audio start'
>@ECHO OFF >cd "C:\Program Files (x86)\VB\Voicemeeter" start voicemeeterpro.exe >C:\NIRCMD\NIRCMDC setdefaultsounddevice "CABLE Input" 1
Then rename those files to .bat file extension and you're done
Read through the numbered list here; https://winaero.com/blog/get-classic-old-task-manager-in-windows-10/
That's just for Task Manager. There are plenty of other minor changes in Win 10 that have driven power users insane. From launch until the new Creators Update, Always On Top programs were broken and caused the taskbar to also appear on top of full screen applications. They also removed Shift+Right Click for "Open command window here" recently for no reason, requiring reassigning ownership of a registry key and adding a DWORD. Older applications also lost drag+drop functionality which worked fine on Win7 (Cool Edit Pro 2 among the affected, which I still use!). I find new things weekly to complain about in Windows 10, lots of baffling decisions and oversights.
What frequency is your RAM running at? (You can use CPU-Z to check)
Both /u/Antamize and /u/scotto8888 are running at 3000+MHz.
It's possible that your main memory just can't feed your CPU fast enough. I saw considerable improvement when I overclocked mine from 2800 to 3100MHz.
Also, if you do not have an XMP profile enabled in your BIOS, it's possible that you're running it way slower than it is intended to be.
Not OP, but I'm familiar with custom themes that you can install on Windows 10. The particular theme in the video is called Arc flatabulous by Neiio. He also has a simple to follow tutorial on how to install the theme here.
