This should have been resolved well before the draft started. I think it's too late to change now. But I am also curious as to how divisions were decided. Maybe there should have been 1 pi team in each division? That would make things even for all radius teams. Pi teams would play slightly less on their home server, but everything would be 'even' in terms of servers played across all the eastern conference.
Fronj should try PrivateTunnel. I can connect to the NY PrivateTunnel server and get 70 ping to pi. Keep in mind my connection goes from south FL to NY back to Atlanta. There's no reason fronj can't get more than playable ping using PT (probably <60). 100 GB costs $12 which would last him the next 20 MLTP seasons. There are solutions here.
This. I never understood that either. There are thousands upon thousands of VPNs out there. Why the hell is that the only one mentioned? Literally I have used many VPNs over time and I find it amazingly confusing that (on here at least) it's the only one that seems to be mentioned. Shit it wasnt even a Google top result for me back in the day. Im using Airvpn right now. Though wouldve liked to use PrivateTunnel to support OpenVPN direct but their is something wrong with the payment or using it on Linux.
PrivateTunnel as I had subscribed before returning. The only problem is you have to set up the vpn itself using vpn. So I had to get free trials from other VPNs just to set up my account. You only have to do this once and after that it’s perfect. 35 USD for a year.
its not hard to use a vpn and get the code for the skins ;) Here is how for people who don't know....
(1-> download and sign up to PrivateTunnel () or other such vpn provider (most have free trials)
(2-> once your vpn client is set to US and enabled make a US uplay account (using a different email to your EU one)
(3->go to ?ncid=1628-3502-5748--2-odvidch-28-41-TheDivision_AgentOrigins_Ubisoft--17-19-10-0116 and get your key.
(4-> turn off your vpn and then login to uplay using your eu (or wherever) account and activate the key =)
Hope this helps someone get some skins
Temporary fix that I got to work is to run mobile data through a VPN.
1) Get OpenVPN Connect and PrivateTunnel
2) Activate free PrivateTunnel account and game should load fine with vpn running
edit: this is for Android and is working on my GS6 with Koodo
This game is free on . Unfortunately, this is blacked out in the MASN broadcast area. A free VPN will get you access to it though. Download OpenVPN. Sign up for the PrivateTunnel account that it asks you for. Connect to San Jose, California. Have fun watching the Orioles. If you need any help, just ask.
EDIT: I just found out that there's a 100 MB limit, and i'm already around 90. I'll do some research and get back to you.
For all the Comcast users, I believe it may be an issue with Comcast, I tried using betternet VPN to no avail, but Then I used PrivateTunnel and I got through the loading screen. after you load in you can disconnect from the vpn
This is not the norm. There have been a lot of server issues lately that I believe is the result of DDoS or ISP infrastructure, but playing through a VPN bypasses the issue, so a lot of people are doing that until the issue is fixed rightly.
One I've seen people use is TunnelBear, and I tried PrivateTunnel at the suggestion of the VPN subreddit. It works for me, but pretty much all VPN's are either paid services, or scams. TunnelBear I heard offers 500MB free when you start, which is enough if you only use it for RuneScape. Watching videos or Netflix will eat through it in minutes.
If using a VPN isn't an option for you, there is unfortunately not much to be done until the issue is fixed on their end.
What's the difference between OpenVPN (which I'm using) and PrivateTunnel, which is listed on the OpenVPN page? And, there's also a server?
They mention they're a private company. Does that have any bearing on if OpenVPN is FLOSS? Is it non-profit?
By the way (he double-posts ...), there's a much cheaper alternative. Sign up for a a VPN like PrivateTunnel or TunnelBear, and you can watch it on YouTube. In high definition. With Justin and everything. Semifinals too.
The first question to ask is, who are you trying to protect your privacy from? Using a VPN would help in two circumstances: you don't trust your Internet provider (e.g., share your home Internet and don't control the router) or don't wish to reveal your home IP address to sites you visit.
OpenVPN is open source software which you can implement to establish an encrypted SSL VPN connection between you and a remote server. Or you can pay someone else to run such a server and provide you with access. PrivateTunnel sounds like one such service. Which is best depends on your threat model and appetite for trusting a particular provider.
Yes, you should use an ad-blocker. uBlock Origin is the best one. Brave browser is not audited and is built on Electron - should not be used - stick to Firefox and Tor Browser especially.
I use PrivateTunnel VPN for personal traffic and Cisco AnyConnect for work traffic. I don't have a problem maintaining LTE for either tunnel.
As a side note, check out r/keepournetfree for discussions on VPN and the facts about the bill that's got you motivated to encrypt the traffic.
There are two separate areas to the OpenVPN site.
PrivateTunnel is a privacy VPN company that is ran by the guys that create OpenVPN. The OpenVPN 2.x software itself is ran by the community and is completely FLOSS.
It is under the GPLv2 license.
OpenVPN 2.x is the version that we are looking at.
Version 3.x which was created specifically due to licensing issues with the Apple app store, is used with iOS and there are both a 3.x and a 2.x version available for Android. The "OpenVPN for Android" being the 2.x version, and "OpenVPN Connect" being the 3.x version.
There's a lot more details on the who/where/why of 3.x, but for the purposes of brevity, we can say that 2.x is the open source version that we will be auditing, and covers all platforms except for Apple iOS including most of the custom clients built by VPN providers, and other professional apps like Cisco Anyconnect.
I think you might be getting slightly confused, OpenVPN is the technology used and is definitely not just PrivateTunnel.
Free services, do exist but are typically a bad idea but I'm sure there are a few free trials/ free X amount of MB before having to pay etc.
Have you considered using OpenVPN instead? ( - you want the "Community" tab for downloads and information. Do not use the links to "PrivateTunnel" or the "Access Server", which are different, paid products. )
OpenVPN is free and open source and many consider it to be one of the more secure options. It is recommended at many privacy-focused software lists (ie , etc) and many of the best VPN services usually suggest OpenVPN as the protocol of choice. Some even have a customized GUI tool to connect to their servers, since OpenVPN is GPLv2 licensed (I think). I know you have concerns about mobile use, but there are OpenVPN clients for Android and iOS (and perhaps other less popular mobile operating systems as well), so I think you would be fine so long as you can install the proper apps on these devices.
Do you think OpenVPN is worth a try, or is there a reason you've already passed over it?
I
PrivateTunnel is located in California things, how is this company possibly resistant to subpoenas and FISA warrants?
For truly dangerous activity, I never understood the allure of VPN services. Even when the company is domiciled in Panama or Sweden or whatever, it's not like these foreign countries are lawless or immune from US-based bullying.
I'd trust a company called the Disney Illegal Kiddieporn VPN Service a lot more -- by violating trademarks in their names and logos and surviving, they would be proving they're actually beyond the reach of the US justice department.
Eurovision's YouTube channel should have it up later today. You'll need a VPN to see it Stateside though. Opera browser has one built in, alternately you can use a subscription VPN service. I currently use PrivateTunnel—$5 a month, I have it tell YouTube I'm connecting from Stockholm or London or wherever, and Bob's your uncle.
Asked and answered yesterday, but the short version is that there were only three ways to watch it online in the USA last year:
LogoTV's website, which streamed it in the clear. I got an excellent-looking HD stream, but a lot of other folks didn't.
A few random international feeds that were also in the clear but weren't supposed to be. (These weren't in English, and quality was crap.)
And ... GET A VPN.
No announcements have been made as to what's available this year. Most VPNs are a monthly subscription thing, or you can use PrivateTunnel, which charges by the GB instead of by the month.
The workaround for this is running your mobile data connection through a vpn.
Follow these instructions:
1) Get OpenVPN Connect and PrivateTunnel
2) Activate free PrivateTunnel account and game should load fine with vpn running
Note this is for android but I'm sure there are similar apps available for iphone.
OpenVPN is just a software (client and server) used by many VPN providers around the globe. Although OpenVPN foundation, the developer of the said software, runs its own VPN service (PrivateTunnel), but I have no idea how good it is.
You can run one operating system inside another using a virtual machine. You'll need an additional program for it (VirtualBox will do), then install another OS inside it and run it. This screenshot says it all:
&sp=f9004541376bb29136033e7cda9a1d11
Running Linux in a VM while using Windows as a main system won't do much for your privacy as the main ("host") OS still has full control over your computer and your data.
I use PrivateTunnel, which is unique in that it charges by data usage (prepaid) rather than monthly. But it doesn't have many servers, and speed is hit and miss. Since I don't use it that much and it's always been adequate for my purposes, I haven't been motivated to try another alternative.
I pay for PrivateTunnel VPN.
My ping to Radius used to be 70, and the VPN wasn't much different.
New radius, my ping is 130+, but with the VPN I get a smooth 55.
Might be worth a try on their free trial to see if it works.
Same here!
1-Turn on VPN
2-Start the Launcher, let it load fully
3-Turn off VPN
4-Log in
I used to use ProXPN, but it required an extra step each time to start the VPN, now I use PrivateTunnel-both have free, limited versions, that's all you need.
If the actual launcher itself needs updating, you can do that without the VPN on. Turning it off before logging in will allow you to download patches quick.
Oh and to the OP, I hope you'll enjoy the Internet ! I regularly download off steam at 11mb/s, and speedtest has me clocked at 75mb/s d/l and 71mb u/l, all for cheaper than back home with no throttling or bandwidth caps!
I've been using PrivateTunnel for 2 years and I like them. No complaints. The connection always feels fast, too. I've used other VPNs in the past that felt like they really slowed my connection down.
Please never use Onavo. It is created by Facebook and has been an absolute disaster since its release (I believe another commenter linked articles about this). Consider my personal choice PrivateTunnel, which is designed by the people who literally made one of the best VPN Protocols out there. PrivateTunnel is $5 per month and is very fast, plus they have a policy to not log ANY web traffic information so users’ privacy remains intact. Another VPN I like is Disconnect, which actually blocks ads and trackers before your iOS device can load them. About $5 a month as well and they have a similar no-logging policy.
I think I will definitely give them a try and see how it works. I just have to warn anyone who happens to stumble across this thread because I made the error myself. The OpenVPN homepage has download links right there on the main page and they are not for OpenVPN. They were for PrivateTunnel or something. The website is kind of stupid and to find the actual download links for OpenVPN is weird.
Hello!
So there's some confusing issues here that we need to sort out.
What exactly is your use case? Are you connecting to a VPN provider? If so, they should provide you with a config file that you import into Tunnelblick.
PrivateTunnel is a VPN provider that is ran by the main developers of the OpenVPN open source project called OpenVPN Technologies. You do not need anything private tunnel related to use another provider or to set up your own VPN client/server.
As for simple sign-ins, the version of OpenVPN you were using is ancient. The protocol and the apps have significantly changed since then. There's substantially more features, less bugs, and much stronger cryptography. Are you absolutely sure that the VPN was OpenVPN based and not PPTP, IPsec/L2TP or something else? Signing on with just a user/pass is not how OpenVPN generally works, even in old versions.
It is PrivateTunnel, on a 7 day trial. I'm thinking about getting PIA but just worried about the possibility of it not working for whatever reason. One guess I had is maybe something to do with my router prevents this process but I figure it is more likely to be the VPN not allowing the torrents. Did not know about that till now.
I use PrivateTunnel VPN service setup as an OpenVPN client on my router and I can assure you that it does work, and quite well. Not only did it resolve the NAT issue for me, they have servers close enough to me that latency remains low when playing online games that need open NAT (e.g. Splatoon 2).
You can do it, but it costs money and requires some tech know-how. Here’s my setup:
Nighthawk M1 hotspot Nighthawk R7000 router running DD-WRT firmware PrivateTunnel VPN service (about $5 per month)
I setup PrivateTunnel as an OpenVPN client in DD-WRT and used policy-routing to only route my gaming system over the tunnel. It works great; my Nintendo Switch can connect to P2P gaming sessions quickly and without issues. I found PrivateTunnel to be very gaming friendly compared to other services like PIA. I also used to play WoW over my hotspot with a raid team, so anyone who tells you that you can’t game with a hotspot either is in a bad latency area or just doesn’t know what they’re talking about.
EDIT: Accidentally called PrivateTunnel OpenTunnel; have OpenVPN on the brain.
Hi Contessa, the biggest problem I've been having is consistency. My ping will spike and level multiple times during one game. Other times, it will stay at high ping (>200ms) for the duration of a couple games, then be fine the next few.
Sometimes, I will turn on my VPN (PrivateTunnel), and it will fix the situation, and other times it will make it worse.
Thank you very much for helping me! :D
I've been using PrivateTunnel. I like it because it's cheap, simple, and fast. Downside is the encryption is only 128-bit.
edit: they're also based in the US. So not a good option if you're looking to avoid the watchful eyes of Uncle Sam.
Only thing I could think of right now would be that your school network doesn't allow outbound ssh connection on port 22. If you could change the port for 80 or 443 or use a VPN every time you want to close your laptop, then it should work flawlessly (if the VPN can go through of course. I use PrivateTunnel at my college... Only VPN I found that works and being a Crypto guy, it's a gainer that it accepts BTC as form of payments.)
Get PrivateTunnel its an app but you can also get it for your computer. Its super cheap. It give you a certain amount of free data(they keep changing it) so use that to make sure it working on your works wifi. If it does its only $30 a year.
Browsec VPN and PrivateTunnel have been working well for me. Browsec is free, which is great if you don't care about privacy, and PrivateTunnel gives you free 200 MB when you sign up (you can keep signing up with new emails to get unlimited data). I get 30-50 ping to Radius with these VPNs.
Someone on the PokemonGOToronto subreddit found another workaround that basically involves disabling LTE:
In addition, I can verify that the other VPN workaround works, however it seems to be picky on exactly which VPN you use... I could only get it to work with PrivateTunnel - other free ones didn't work for some reason...
So for now I guess we get to pick our poison: VPN or no LTE? Obviously it should work on LTE - if it's still not fixed in a few days then it might be time to check in with Telus/Public Mobile...
I can't tell if you're talking about the OpenVPN client, the PrivateTunnel VPN service that OpenVPN Inc offers, or something else.
The OpenVPN open source project is well known & reliable. People do use it to set up VPN connections for torrents, in fact many paid VPN providers base their own software off OpenVPN.
Maybe search/ask over in /r/VPN or /r/VPNTorrents.
No real solutions. Only had 1 free VPN server work (PrivateTunnel), but Abxel managed to get Wtfast working, so you could try that or try Tunnelbear. It should be noted that Privatetunnel and Tunnelbear have a harsh datacap, so I wouldn't recommend those at all. Your best bet is hoping that Wtfast works for you.
If you're searching by yourself, you should entirely ignore HotSpot Shield. It's slow and the free service only has a US based VPN server.
I did try a few PPTP vpn servers, but most of them denied UDP packets (traffic used for stuff like games) and were obviously useless.
i'm personally using PrivateTunnel. What do you think about them? I'm quite happy with their service, i like the different approach of buying bandwith rather than monthly fees. It's recommended by OpenVPN... so that's why i started using them.
OpenVPN is trusting someone elses equipment and having zero control over it. With what is now PrivateTunnel you are connecting via the VPN it gives you, and not necessarily where you want it to go.
OP asked for a way to make it so his Dad had an IP address from his house, for that to work he needs something like a Cisco ASA w/ anyconnect licenses so that he has control of it.
You might try a proxy service/VPN. Find one that has servers in the UK, and it should significantly reduce your ping to the WoW servers.
I use PrivateTunnel, as an example, but there are many others out there. Most have free trials that will let you connect for X minutes, so you can try various ones out and find one that gives you the lowest latency.
This is blacked out in the MASN broadcast area.

The point of keeping no logs is that even if you receive a subpoena, you have nothing to turn over. The EFF addresses this issue quite well.
I have no inside knowledge of whether PrivateTunnel complies with subpoenas or fights them or if they really don't keep logs like they claim not to. But I'm making a bet that they do what they say and that no logs of my traffic are made, which is the best I can do right now. In short, I trust PrivateTunnel more than my ISP with my traffic. I completely understand why you wouldn't be comfortable doing that, using a VPN is pretty subjective decision to make.
Since I'm not doing anything illegal, I'm not too worried. Mainly I want a VPN for when I'm away from my home network or when I want privacy from my ISP.
Not that I don't believe you, but if Time-Warner regularly complies with subpoenas, what makes you think that PrivateTunnel does not? Note that with many, many post-PATRIOT investigations, there are gag orders in place preventing the service company from disclosing the investigation (see the twitter subpoena on Wikileaks.
All I'm saying is that I'm uncomfortable with so-called security/privacy solutions that aren't technical solutions. By shifting my trust from my ISP to my VPN, I feel like I'm not getting anything new other than a broader attack surface.
Regardless, I would not do serious antisocial things from my home. We live in a golden age of Internet anonymity with what amounts to global anonymous access over insecure wireless. I'd just use that.
Yes, it is. I've done that with openvpn3-linux on an airport in Europe which blocked everything except port 80 and 443.
I connected first to a PrivateTunnel account and the over that to my own private VPN service. Both connections routes everything via the tunnel.
That said, it's over a year ago since last time I've tried it, so something might have broken since that time. It's all related to figure out which gateway the VPN server should be routed via. I know we did some changes in that logic earlier this year.
But the key point is to route everything (default route) through the last connected VPN connection while preserving correct direct gateway entry for the last VPN connection via the first VPN connection. And the VPN server IP of the first connection must be routed via the gateway used on the local WiFi/LAN.
In regards to China and free (as in unrestricted) internet, PrivateTunnel should have some tricks included to slip through TGF.
I want to point out that I’m currently living in a country that doesn’t have hulu, hence why I decided to use a VPN to stream it. As far as I know, CyberGhost should be okay for streaming hulu... however I seem to be experiencing this issue. I am very new to the VPN realm and am also experiencing separate issues on my Windows 10 laptop with CyberGhost. I was previously using a free trial of PrivateTunnel and had no issues with connecting to the servers and such, however PrivateTunnel does not seem to work for Netflix or Hulu so I decided to stop using it after my free trial. Any help is much appreciated!
You can use a VPN like PrivateTunnel to connect to the Internet via Milan and then watch RAI.
I think a one year subscription to PrivateTunnel cost me $30 (don't recall exactly) and I can now watch all the shows on RAI using my iPad, PC, or phone.
Sounds like you had a bad route assigned by your isp to the data centre. Most folks seem to be fine and if the whole data centre was down it'd be top of the frontpage here.
If it happens again restart your router, if that doesnt fix it run a tracert to the server ip and see if there are bad hops. If there are call your isp and ask for technical help specifying you've been getting lost packets when pinging certain IPa and wait til they tranfer you to some1 competant.
If that's not working for you then you might need to try a VPN like mudfish, Vypr or PrivateTunnel. This theoretically should not be needed, and hopefully you just had an isolated bad hop somewhere in your pathing chain last night which will be gone already. Good luck!
I am thinking about a paid one but want to be sure I can get it to work. Read some posts where people paid for VPN(I think it was Hide My Ass), doesn't work and they get ignored by the support so they can't get any help or ask for refund.
I use Tunnelblick for other tips.
OpenVPN is not a service, though, it's just a VPN server/client program. They're asking for a VPN provider. Unless you're refering to their PrivateTunnel service, which, admittedly, is quite a decent one, but isn't free.
I have the same issue, and I use PrivateTunnel. I experience no lag whatsoever, usually just a slight increase in ping, but at long as you're connected using ethernet and your opponent is connected using ethernet, the ping should remain constant
Paid VPNs such as PIA or PrivateTunnel should work (you can get 200 mb free trials of PrivateTunnel), otherwise, if you're on Chrome and don't care about your privacy, and you install free extensions such as Browsec or Zenmate VPN
PIA, TunnelBear and PrivateTunnel all secure, reliable and trustworthy - all work fine on Mac via their native clients or via TunnelBlick.
Also work on IOS should you need that and want to avoid extra VPN expense.
Dude, send me a link to a free application where I can type in an IP address and a username/password to a custom VPN server. Because when I go to it touts PrivateTunnel as the means of connecting to an OpenVPN server - WHICH COSTS MONEY. OpenVPN is the operating system. I'm looking for the means to connect to VPN Os's
You'll want to contact their support for a clear answer.
That said:
According to their TOS
> You will not to use our services for receiving and the distribution of pirated copyright materials, such as, but not limited to Pirated DVDs, Pirated CDs, Pirated Software. This includes, but not limited to the following: The trading, selling, bartering, sharing, transmitting or receiving, of such materials.
My guess is they are not very torrent / P2P friendly but you'd need to check with them to see if they actively block P2P / torrents.
PS - If you find out that PrivateTunnel does indeed block P2P / torrents you should get in touch with so he can update that PrivateTunnel information in the VPN Comparison Chart. Right now "Port Blocking P2P" is blank for PrivateTunnel prob due to lack of information from that VPN provider.
I currently use Windscribe, its free but comes with a monthly data cap which can be increased to 50gb/month.
Theres also HotSpotShield, Tunnelbear or PrivateTunnel just to name a few, all free with limited locations and bandwith cap.
Create a account and download the client and you are good to go, run the client and select a location, you can search for something like "what is my ip" to make sure the VPN is working.
PrivateTunnel is only one of many VPN services. There is no requirement that you use that specific service with OpenVPN.
For 200 Mbps a home class router is not even close to good enough for OpenVPN. You would need a PC based router like pfSense to do that. It would need to have a "fat core" CPU, an Atom would not do.
To have your xbox bypass the VPN it would be best to do that with a router that can handle that use case. Again pfSense could do this.
Does it take a long time for PrivateTunnel to connect?
I can just see this...
Connecting... Reconnecting... Connecting... there's also another word that flashes for a millisecond but I'm unsure if it says disconnecting or something else.
Can be pretty simple if doing it on a PC. With mobile, AtBat also uses Location services so VPN is not enough to get around it.
I use PrivateTunnel. Create account and download app to PC, connect to a server outside your area (Chicago usually works, London during playoffs) and sign in to MLB streaming site.
If they are from NA, you could try to make your ping limit something like 100, and they should set theirs to 50 or less.
You guys could also try a free VPN service, connect to a US server. (New York is the best ping wise) I recommend PrivateTunnel, 200mb free per signup, but you can go around it and make multiple accounts.
Hf!
You download it and turn it on. I'm using PrivateTunnel, others have recommended TunnelBear and Windscribe. PrivateTunnel and TunnelBear have data limits for free users, 200MB and 500MB respectively, Windscribe I don't know.
I get crappy reception where I am, just did a speed test got 30 down and 20 up... So for me, i would no problem other than the 1g plan i have (since almost everywhere has wifi).
If your concern is blocked ports, you could always use a VPN service (i use PrivateTunnel) so as long as it isnt blocked, I dont have to worry what else is blocked.
The game crashes at channel selection if you're IP banned, not when you log in. Try PrivateTunnel free version and see if you can get pass the channel if you can that means your account is not pre blocked.
There are lots, i personally use PrivateTunnel, which I pay 30 a year. Lots of fake countries you can imitate and unlimited data. You can also use VPN through a browser. Do some research. This would be worth your time and effort since there are multiple VPN services.
I'm looking for an HTTP proxy as well as a VPN like VPN Defender. Tunnel bear does not provide this... thank you though.
Basically it's the protocol the VPN takes
Edit: I've found a VPN where you can choose the protocol is called PrivateTunnel
Didn't find a solution, but found a workaround. PrivateTunnel VPN, getting ~35 ping to origin which is actually lower than im used to, but it's a little less steady and gets spikes, much better than 100 though. they give 2 gigs for free
Can't be of much help there.
The one I use is PrivateTunnel, and it's because (1) you prepay based on data usage, not monthly and (2) since I use it so seldom, I'm not concerned about their limited servers and intermittent speed issues.
I honestly don't know how it compares to anything else because I haven't had any reason to try anything else. It's worked adequately well for me (other than some Mac software glitches that I ended up having to sort out on my own), and the last $20 I gave them lasted for three years.
> Is it normal for a VPN to prevent bittorrent clients from connecting to peers?
If the VPN provider does not support torrents then yes, it is normal. I have no idea about PrivateTunnel, you might want to ask their support. Their Knowledge Base doesn't mention torrents at all, I'd be curious what they tell you.
Torrents might be against their TOS (see 12 E but I guess you should ask them since you're using their service.
I use PrivateTunnel, though some people have had success with other VPNs that have a larger number of exit nodes to choose from. You can get a free trial of like 200 MB, which is probably enough to play a full season of MLTP on.
Use a VPN app like PrivateTunnel. It's my favorite, very easy to start up. I believe this is not the case, but if you have acess to a SSH server (or a proxy server, actually) it's pretty straightforward to use apps like ProxyCap or Proxifier+Putty :)
Sorry, I just looked for it but I can't find it now. I'm not sure if it got deleted or if maybe I saw it in the comments on some other site or what.
/u/Mr_T0ad tried and it didn't work for him. For what it's worth, the PrivateTunnel services gives you 500MB free to try it out (no credit card required, as I recall), so you might as well try it yourself.
Assuming a PC, getting used to ALT-TAB and knowing what order your screens are in makes a big difference. You can also do something like get a USB display, or use a tablet with a program to extend the display.
On a side note, keep your connection secure if you are using their open Wifi connection. Either set up a private VPN with a system at your home/office or use something like
I gave PrivateTunnel a try and I got a stable connection with the Sphere ping I used to get to the old server. I figure I can avoid spending any significant amount of money as long as I only connect to it when playing on Sphere. Thanks!
PrivateTunnel is my favorite, and you only pay for what you use vs a subscription like PIA. I also had problems with PIA disabling my regular internet and fucking up settings that it wouldn't revert after I shut it down. No problems like that with PT, though I do have to manually change the DNS settings to prevent DNS leaks.
Get Privatetunnel, use it to create an account, log in with VPN and select a movie/series to watch and as soon as the movie/series starts you can turn off Privatetunnel.
You're welcome =)
I bought 50gb there for $10 I think and I have only used 1.5gb in half a year xD
Oh and also you could use VPNGate, it offers free VPNs from around the world which should do the same job, but it's always a little more work than PrivateTunnel.

If you're able to install things on your company computers, you might want to try a VPN. I personally use PrivateTunnel
You could use it for whatever. It applies to all applications on the system (all system traffic goes through it) so it may or may not work.
Really? Doesn't it cost money after the first 100MB?
Edit: Sorry about that, I am familiar with PrivateTunnel, a paid product that is being promoted by OpenVPN on their main page. I thought that was their main proudct.
Couldn't find a way to get it to work, email support and got this:
> ---------- Forwarded message ----------
> From: Private Tunnel Support <>
> Subject: Setting up PrivateTunnel using iOS's built in VPN? > > > Unfortunately the built in VPN client inside iOS does not support the OpenVPN protocol and therefore cannot be used with our service. > Sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you. > >
Damn.
Well, then you'll have to look for a VPN provider that lets you connect over PPTP. Unfortunately, I can't really help you here as I have never done any research on these, since I basically am in love with PrivateTunnel.
I just installed PrivateTunnel (OpenVPN) and then did Find My IP. It noticed that I'm using OpenVPN as the ISP, but it thinks I'm in Vegas. That's nowhere near where I actually am (I'm at a public hotspot in a mall in a different state.) I think how it works is that it randomizes the IP, because I did it again an hour later and it thought I was in San Jose (again, nowhere near my actual location.)
I just submitted my Leapforce application through the VPN, and it seemed to work!
For everyone with this problem, OpenVPN seems to lower the ping by a decent amount. Went from 108ms (UPC Netherlands) to a stable 29ms, which is close to what I originally had before these issues.
There is a limit on bandwidth usage (100MB daily I think) but that shouldn't be a problem when playing League I think.
If you want to download it, here is a link:
You can also click on my referral link, which increases my bandwidth limit with 200MB per referral: ?referral=NWD1CZISWV
Will keep you updated ;)
EDIT 1: Played an Intermediate Co-op vs. AI game of approx. 20 minutes. Bandwidth usage is 20 MB, which is a fifth of the daily limit. It did work perfectly though, and the moment I disconnected PrivateTunnel my ping was 120 ms. I strongly recommend referring someone if you'd like to play more that two games of League everyday.
I use PrivateTunnel and use it for however long you want. With mobile use that should last you for a pretty long time. It works great, and even has its' own apps for Windows, Mac and Android that allow you to connect with a few clicks, on iOS you can use any openVPN client. One more thing - do not rely on free VPNs. They are either going to be very slow, go down often or have privacy issues.
I'm not sure if a VPN/PrivateTunnel would work. I know it works for most issues revolving this but I haven't tried it in your exact position. You can try downloading a private VPN and see if that works.
Do you use wp too? Because I actually did that too. Problem is free is limit to 1 month of usage, after that you must pay for the service and it's kinda pricey ($10/month). I don't want to pay extra $10 after paying 125k rupiah for my internet connection. Actually I find some vpn provider with more reasonable price, the lowest is $6/month, but they don't support IKEv2 :\
If only wp8.1 supports OpenVPN. I will definitely use PrivateTunnel.
A certain kind of VPN connected to steam is blocked and won't allow connection to the steam network, this happened recently and I believe it was linked to Australians accessing SR4 early via them. I believe PrivateTunnel works as a VPN through steam still, if that helps.
What VPN did you use?
I tried connecting with PrivateTunnel through the California and Chicago servers, and with both I got the usual:
> "Sorry! Music on Google Play is not available in your country yet. We're working to bring the content you love to more countries as quickly as possible. Please check back again soon."
I HAVE LOGGED IN.
I created a Virtual Private Network (VPN) and succesfully logged in. i use Yousee, am from Denmark so these issues should be temporarily fixable for anyone with similar issues.
I used PrivateTunnel for the VPN.
Chat works fine, my ping in game is barely changed (if at all).
I use PrivateTunnel for Netflix, costs ~£6 for 50gb of data, lasts for ages. and I share Netflix with 3 other people so we take turns paying for it. You can use it to get US, UK an Canadian Netflix, plus it's good if you download films and tv shows on a VPN (if you just so happen to be an awful, awful, criminal).
I've never used love film or spoken to anyone who has. I think it's a universally acknowledged fact that Netflix is better.
is a proxyservice. You're hiding behind another server. Sideeffect: You're using your ISPs routingtable to the Proxyserver and then you use the proxy-routingtable. (And PrivateTunnel got on of the best routingtables out there, no matter what.)
So, what did you do that it's going well? The Proxyservice or the -setting?
Yes. Try PrivateTunnel. It works beautifully and doesn't lag when I play league on a blocked network. You can make an account with 100 mb for free but then you have to pay for extra memory, so I made a shitload of accounts and continue to switch when one runs out of memory. Give it a try.
Now that's odd. If it gives no error message, you can either reinsall Windows or try one-by-one with DirectX, drivers and stuff... Whatever works better for you.
It may also be due to your ISP banning IP of Riots servers. Try playing game on another connection (if laptop) or get a friend to get a laptop and try on yours (alternatively, get a free proxy PrivateTunnel.
PrivateTunnel domain and continually created accounts for a while since it's really fast. That's what a lot of people use at IMSA for torrenting/gaming.
Except that ISPs keep traffic logs and VPNs don't - at least they claim not to in their ToS, and unfortunately I don't know of a way to independently verify what logs VPNs like Strong or PrivateTunnel keep. But ISPs definitely keep customer logs, sometimes up to 18 months, and they regularly comply with government subpoenas or National Security Letters or other official requests.
I don't know of any law compelling VPNs to keep traffic logs. It's a staple of VPN service to provide anonymity for their customers. Keeping logs defeats the purpose of using a VPN for privacy and would quickly ruin the VPN's reputation if it became known that they did that.
Choosing which VPN to trust is the hardest part. If you're doing obviously illegal stuff, then better do some serious research and go off-shore.
