Sorry for the terrible formatting of the OP, I'm unable to edit it, and I can't get any of the images like the one from the read more screen, nor the installed version (v.0.101.0) to upload to Imgur. I have submitted the APK to APKmirror. I'll be updating this reply as needed.
The patch notes are as follows:
Aspect ratios and UI are now optimized for larger screens such as iPhone X and Samsung 8.
Lucky eggs and Star Pieces are now accessible and usable from the Raid and Gym Battle inventories.
Various Bug fixes and performance updates.

Screenshots I couldn't get uploaded on 05.25.2018:
Only real solution: Hound Niantic until they fix their hardware-abusing app.
The fact is that this app runs your CPU and battery excessively hard and hot, and it really doesn't need to. (I can run 3D-rendered GPS navigation apps or games while continuously streaming data and playing music in the background all day long, and it doesn't heat up my phone like PoGo does.)
Lots of us have already noticed battery capacity loss. Some of us have had their batteries killed entirely. Various other heat-related problems have been reported as well.
A few users here have said that it doesn't heat up their phone or drain their battery quickly, but that is a vanishingly small minority.
Until Niantic fixes their code, it's going to keep costing us, through greatly reduced hardware life. How much will it cost to have your battery replaced 2-3 times as often as you normally would? How about your whole phone?
So, definitely complain to Niantic.
Also consider reporting the app as abusive to hardware. For Android: Near the bottom of the Pokémon Go page in the Play Store: Flag as inappropriate: Harmful to device or data. I don't know the app reporting procedure for iOS / App Store; perhaps someone who does know can share that info in a comment.
It's got to be the Wifi. When you're in this "portal" you're near a wifi AP with an SSID / MAC that matches one in Atlanta GA. MAC addresses are supposed to be unique, but when manufacturers are given a limited pool that they can use, they will sometimes reuse them but ship those products to different parts of the world to avoid network conflicts.
If you want to confirm this, get something like Wifi Analyzer and write down / screenshot the MAC addresses that are nearby when this happens. And someone else in that spot in Atlanta do the same thing. You'll probably find a match.
If you have a Samsung phone, there is a solution that worked for me. Download the Samsung Game Tuner app, click on the "Modes" tab, and select "Maximum Quality."
Also, if you are using Game Launcher, make sure the option "Save power during game" is set to OFF.
NOTE: When I had the problem, I had not yet downloaded the Game Tuner app. I had to download the app and set the quality to maximum in order to fix the problem.
anker is my jam. I have yet to go wrong with them. I always look for quick charge and usb-c compatibility if possible.
if bulk isn't something you're concerned about - go big or go home. currently rocking a 26,800mAh. that thing is beastly. it even charges itself quickly. full in 8 hours more or less. took it to go fest and it lasted me all weekend. theyre on sale on amazon for $70.
if you're looking for something a little more reasonable in price range, as well as size, this one might be good for you. it doesn't break the bank @ $35, 10,000mAh, quick charge.
I definitely just recommend Anker in general. have had bad experiences with off brands, and Anker has always been reliable.
always purchase off amazon as well, they usually have sales on them.
Edit: uploaded, waiting on approval
Edit 2: mine hasn't gotten approved yet but here's one that has
https://www.openstreetmap.org/changeset/57926221#map=9/40.8525/-72.9491
It looks like Long Island was tagged with natural=scrub
on the 9th of April. It was only tagged for a few hours, but I believe the 9th falls in the proposed update window.
If you're wondering what that Pokeball button is on the right side, it's PocketLock. Pressing it will just turn the screen black :)

Notes:
Open Street Map is pretty good at categorizing paths/roads, Niantic is simply combining several categories together.
Check https://www.openstreetmap.org/
Hopefully there is a distinction for driveways and yours are properly marked as such
I have a bit of insight into this.
To start, GamePress does not get to choose what advertisements are shown to a user at any time. The service we get our ads from is being infiltrated by malicious users. This is a problem for any site with major traffic, including Reddit itself.
The difference between sites like Vox and us is we don't have the resources to tackle the problem in a way that results in a 100% malicious ad-free GamePress. We have taken active measures to monitor our ads but it has unfortunately only improved the situation, not solved it.
I hate browser hijack ads. I also believe we're one of the best sites for PoGO analysis. If you're on mobile I recommend downloading DuckDuckGo or a similar secure browser, or any other adblocking service. However, I have to say that ads are our only source of revenue and simply receiving the ad does not put you at risk.
I really hope not since I rooted to get rid of HTC's bad user interface and install cyanogenmod.
As soon as I can find an APK mirror link for 0.37 I'll let folks know what it does.
EDIT: APK mirror link is up https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/niantic-inc/pokemon-go/pokemon-go-0-37-0-release/pokemon-go-0-37-0-android-apk-download/
EDIT 2: Updated game. It's now hanging on the login and saying it can't connect to the server. Hitting "Retry" simply brings the same error up ad infinium. See http://imgur.com/a/muf0L
As you might already know, areas tagged as natural=plateau on OSM might result in nests in Pokémon Go. These plateaus as geographic feature can cover large areas.
Already last year, Berlin has had a mega nest in the southern part of the city.
If you look at the picture, you can see different “plateaus” in the area that were formed during glacial events. The Teltow plateau seems to be the southern mega nest (the dashed line is the city boundary).
I already figured that the “Barnim plateau” (thick red boundary) could be potentially mapped in OSM and someone seems to have had the same idea.
The southern end is situated at the base of a small hill called “Weinberg” which is the end moraine of a long gone glacier.
I have no means to check the actual abundance of the nesting species (Makuhita) in all of the area marked in OSM. But if that was the case, the nest probably comprises an area of ~1400 km².
edit: I forgot to add the OSM link to the layer
https://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/2218269#map=10/52.6260/13.7343
It's unclear from Google Maps what we are supposed to see there. Here is a better link: https://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/2187255#map=11/42.4941/-90.8459
And it's pretty cool. The entire trail (or rather the area around it) is actually marked as leisure=park, that's the reason why it's a nest.
Order your inflatable, 2-person kayak from Amazon now. Then live out a math problem by floating your fellow raiders to the roof one at a time.
> Hence, when we are able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must appear inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near.
-The Art of War
Maybe Niantic is simply observing FSUATL in all his hubris so that they can better refine their cheat detection technologies in the future?
This definitely looks like an update is rolling out. Hopefully new details about evolution items or other juicy things.
Very likely whatever remnants are needed for the Adventure Sync feature.
Edit: A certain website (Go (H)ub) is saying on Twitter that they are already mining version number 0.125.1.
Hi all,
I've been using this method successfully for the last few days. Here is the app I've been using. I don't have an iOS recommendation yet, please suggest one if you find one.
The process is easy:
Make a 200m radius circle when the Pokemon first appears.
Make another 200m radius circle when the Pokemon disappears.
Go to either point where the circles intersect to find your guy.
This works really well on a bike because you can cover a lot of distance. If you are walking, this is still helpful because the Pokemon will appear somewhere on the edge of the first circle, which helps you narrow down where to look.
I always put 2k eggs into the orange incubator (they have the best stardust per km return). If I don't have a 2k egg avaiable, only then will I put a 5k into the orange incubator. Blue incubators I use almost exclusively for 10k eggs but will put an occasional 5k in just in order to help clear eggs from my inventory (mostly in those cases where you only have 5k eggs)
I haven't had to do it in a while but I also supplement gym coins with the free money that can be obtained using Google Opinion Rewards app. It doesn't pay out a ton but it can eventually add up and everything helps if you're going the F2P route.
Error 33 can be fixed with an app like ClockSync - just check once a day before a raid your phone's time sync accuracy against atomic time source with this app - if it differs more than 3 secs then error 33 is nearly guaranteed.
Be sure to change settings in ClockSync to rootless mode.
ClockSync: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.org.amip.ClockSync
Usage access is only needed for finding out how much you use each app.
No permissions are required to find out what apps you have installed on your phone and any app can do so. A big app like Pokemon GO using this for any reason whatsoever highlights this privacy issue, but in reality it's only one of many privacy issues and the only way around it is to shun all proprietary software entirely (including Google Apps and Pokemon GO) - go and look at your Facebook advertising profile to see what they collect about you (then wish you hadn't).
See the source code for APK Extractor to see exactly how listing apps installed is done.
Try installing Xposed framework and using this: http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.devadvance.rootcloak2
That said, it's always going to be a cat and mouse game. Don't count on this to work forever. Here's a list of apps that root cloak works with btw
It was only mapped in March, 2017. Currently, only gyms in park-like areas mapped at some point between July and August, 2016 put out Ex Raids.
With recent updates this may change, but I wouldn't hold my breath until we see something concrete.
Also, full credit to /u/zjleblanc because I missed it in this case, there is a school ground marked over the entire park. Even if it was updated on Niantic's side, the school would block any potential nests and possibly even any Ex Raids.
I have an hypothesis. In Open Street Map the urban zone of Funchal isn't defined. So in any place of the city where you consult the OSM attributes, it only says is "Island" territory. So maybe this is the cause of having a water biome in the whole city. https://www.openstreetmap.org/query?lat=32.64985&lon=-16.90509
Spawns are suppressed in areas mapped with certain tags including military bases, schools, airport runways...
Pokestops & gyms may still be present in some of these locations.
If you are in the red zone don't expect any spawns.
I've noticed that the "Updated" date will update for me in the Google Play store before the "Current Version" will update. Generally it is a few hours difference: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nianticlabs.pokemongo
Edit: it may take more than a few hours as noted in a comment below. I'm still waiting for my play store to update the current version# but have downloaded it from the app mirror.
Edit #2: The date updated when 85.1 was starting to circulate online, but this afternoon my store had the update for 85.2.
This is because your phone no longer passes the SafetyNet test Niantic have implemented from Google. I received this on my Mi5 today which previously worked perfectly with Pokemon Go. When I checked if my phone passed SafetyNet via the SafetyNet Helper app on the Play Store I found it didn't pass. This is what a failing phone looks like.
My Mi5 is unrooted and has a locked bootloader and still fails after months of working perfectly. I've specifically not updated it because updated versions fail SafetyNet.
Edit: it's on APK mirror now, removed the drive link. https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/niantic-inc/pokemon-go/pokemon-go-0-115-2-release/pokemon-go-0-115-2-android-apk-download/
While it's being verified on APK mirror, I uploaded it to Google drive. If this is against the rules, please let me know and I'll remove it.
I'm uploading to APK Mirror now
Edit: uploaded success, waiting for approval Edit 2: APK is Live https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/niantic-inc/pokemon-go/pokemon-go-0-119-5-release/pokemon-go-0-119-5-android-apk-download/
He was the top lvl for clashofclans previously too. https://forum.supercell.com/showthread.php/166937-Top-Level-Players-ListNick is brandon.
He even appeared on coc hall of fame. For two catergories. First to reach lvl 300 and first to win 50k multiplayer battles . https://clashofclans.com/hall-of-fame/clash-legends
We'll be EXTREME until tomorrow evening for a "Coastal Event". Big waves, I guess. I'm 20km inland (that's about 12 miles). They'd have to be really big to get me.
https://www.accuweather.com/en/pt/lisbon/274087/weather-warnings/274087
Unfortunately, it was tagged as a primary/high school rather than a university up until 4 days ago, so it will likely remain a dead zone until Niantic next updates their data to include the recent revision: https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/297966214/history
Around October they switched from using Google Maps for the in-game map to OpenStreetMap.
OSM can be edited by anyone, so sign up for an account and you can map your community.
It might take quite a while for it to show in game, as Niantic will have to create a new file for the entire world, which takes a lot of time and resources, so isn't done often, but the sooner you start, the better and more likely it'll be included in the next update.
Please map responsibly ;)
I enjoy mine and wear it every day (I have it attached to an 18mm Watch Band so most people think it's a watch). You can easily run out of regular Pokeballs relatively fast if you're machine gunning large clusters of Pokemon but it's success rate can be fickle sometimes. It most certainly was helpful during the past couple of community days as I focused on manually catching the featured Pokemon (Pikachu, Dratini) and let the PoGo Plus go after almost everything else (a few rare Pokemon exceptions).
You're pushing it to the limit! :)
The play store recommends 2GB of RAM minimum:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nianticlabs.pokemongo&hl=en
And Niantic used to suggest it for iOS too, back in the day (if my memory serves me right). But I believe they're actually not allowed to say that, as they claim the app is supported down to the iPhone 5+, which only had 1gb RAM (if memory serves me right twice).
Apparently this is different per country. I was viewing this from United States. You can check here:
Try Rocket Player. Go to Settings -> Sound -> Audio Focus and turn on "Ignore Other Apps". It should fix all your problems with sound (like it had fixed them for me, I have Galaxy S5 Neo).
Here is the link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrtstudio.AnotherMusicPlayer&hl=en
The application doesn't cost anything and doesn't bother you with ads. Only some advanced features require paying.
If you use another application, it may have a similar option. If it doesn't, then there might be no solution and you need to use something else, like Rocket Player I suggest above.
Hi, thanks for your interest 🙌 yes of course here is a link: https://files.fm/u/zk4yv9gt
Includes the .png and .psd file of this badge.
EDIT: Here again a second Version with all Pokémon just a little bigger for small pins:
Best greetings
That phone also costs $1000. For $50 I can get a great USB battery and keep mine and someone else's phones charged for that same 6 hours. For the few hundred dollars price difference between that and what I paid for my phone when it was new plus that battery, I'll suffer the inconvenience of having a cable attaching my phone to my pocket.
I do wish I had some sort of nighttime photo mode on my phone, though. The Oneplus community has always been rather upset at the quality of our cameras.
There are apps that can look at the Pokemon's detail screen (either by you taking a screenshot, on iOS - see Poke Genie - or by reading it directly off the screen, skipping the screenshot step, on Android - see CalcyIV). They look at the precise length of the power-up arc that goes over the Pokemon's head, to work out the level, and then use the level, CP, HP, and powerup costs (OCR'd off the screenshot), to work out the IV numbers (occasionally there are multiple possible answers and they can't be certain which is correct). The relevant equations were worked out by smart people long ago.
Note that these specific apps (and some others) do not interact directly with the Pokemon Go app, or with Niantic's servers, so they should be completely safe to use (there have been a few in the past that would request your username / password and then talk directly to Niantic's servers - run away from those, they can get you banned).
If you're far enough into PoGo to be reading down in the comments on threads on The Silph Road, you probably ought to have an IV checking app on hand.
Actually, 0.143.0 is forced, not the .1 version. If you can only update to .1 in your play store, go to https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/niantic-inc/pokemon-go/pokemon-go-0-143-0-release/pokemon-go-0-143-0-android-apk-download/ and download the .0
You should add any missing defibrillators in your area to OpenStreetMap (OSM), the open map the game is based on. OSM has a specific tag for defibrillators. Then they will be available for Niantic (or anyone else) to use (or not use) as they see fit.
An easy way to make anything more color blind friendly, increase the contrast between colors. You're using a lot of muted colors, i.e. greyish. The muted colors are even more problematic for Red/Green color blindness because you put them together in Asia.
You can dig deep into color theory, it's kind of fun actually, but as long as the contrast is high, you're good.
If I'm good, I found a website that auto generates palettes based on some criteria. I'm sure there's plenty, but I'll look for a link.
Edit: not the one I was thinking of, but had some fun with it. Color generator.
Very interesting. The OSM query uses date 2016-07-17 at time 00:00.
The grass that your gym is on was added on 17 Jul 2016 09:27:14. https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/431502777/history
So I guess it was eligible all along. We just have a more refined guess on the map datetime used by Niantic. Tagging /u/Tntnnbltn just in case.
you are thinking of the crappy knockoff IVGo which should be taken off the play store because you could get banned using it.
r/goiv is alive and well and very safe to use. Still on the play store at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.opensource.goiv.
try this recap
I sent this THIS picture:
https://www.amazon.com/CamelBak-Classic-Hydration-Pack-85oz/dp/B01N0TGRUK
A CamelBak is called a Hydration Pack and I wanted to confirm if that was allowed since they allow "hydration packs."
Yup. I use this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01K6TA748/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Can get like 2 days out of it with 2 phones hooked up practically the whole time (and my playstyle is obviously pretty heavy).
IV &Toolkit for Pokemon GO for checking IVs, and getting all needed information about the game(type advantages, best attacks, dps,, and pretty any piece of data I would go to spreadsheets for)without leaving the game(the floating icon is kinda like a facebook chathead).
Calcy IV a more convenient way to check IVs(a single click in most cases), that also have some other functionalities one may find useful(though I don't). The downside is it needs permission to capture your screen in order to evaluate the IV.
Step 1: Install Ampere for android. It will tell you the actual charging current, if your phone charging circuit can provide this information.
Step 2: If the battery temperature is over 40 °C, charging stops. Ampere will show you this. If it's the case for you, find a way to keep the phone cool.
Step 3: Replace the USB cable if charging a cold phone with the original charger and low display brightness doesn't give you a decent charging current (1000-ish mA). Micro-USB plugs (male end on the cable) wear out quickly, so I have found, especially if you're routinely handling the phone with the USB cable plugged in (it usually lasts a couple of months for me.) Unfortunately, most aftermarket cables are crap, so I have found. In the Netherlands, the 100 cm micro-USB cables from HEMA are decent.
It's 10.5 km/h When biking I use this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ch.rmy.android.statusbar_tacho (it's good idea to enlarge font size in Display settings of your phone to see better) - works very fine. Comparing distance in game and calculated on Google Maps, it's very, very close.
Welcome to the game! I would highly recommend going to your respective app store and downloading an IV calculator. Calcy IV and Poke Genie seem to be the two most popular ones. I personally use PokeGenie and will swear by it.
Technically $0. For those who don't know about Google Opinion Rewards, it's a Google app that gives you play store credit for completing surveys that occasionally get sent to you. I don't really buy apps so I have about $11 saved up and spent 5 of it. Never actually spent my own money on it though.
I think you misunderstand what "armchair developers" means. It's similar to "armchair quarterback":
> a person who offers advice or an opinion on something in which they have no expertise or involvement
He's not criticising amateur devs, which is what you're talking about.
So the goal of using these is to help figure out which Gastly are potentially good PvP candidates that should be individually scanned/appraised.
If you copy+paste these big text Search Strings into your PoGo search bar, they will filter out many of Gastly that are junk, leaving you with just your potential Rank 1-10 PvP Gengars and such.
Then you can run a screen reader like CalcyIV or PokeKeys figure out if what is left is a high ranking PvP Haunter/Gengar/Mega Gengar or if it is just a false positive that should still be trashed...the goal is to reduce the number of Gastly that you have to manually flip through and appraise on Community Days!
Does that make more sense? Happy to elaborate if it is still confusing
I found this app on Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.bluetoothcpm Seems to do the same thing and also allows you to hold a wakelock while the go plus is connected. Only needs to be setup once after the go plus is connected (set priority high and wakelock yes). If you reconnect the go plus you can see the wakelock notification pop up after a few seconds and you feel it is more responsive although the first press is still slow sometimes but after that it is definitely good.
This app is alarmingly hard on both short-term and long-term battery life. A power bank is a technical workaround for one of those, but it's not truly a fix.
The underlying problem is not a technical one, but rather a policy / decision-making issue at Niantic. If they wanted to fix the battery abuse, they most certainly could. (Comparison: I can run 3D-rendered GPS navigation apps or games while continuously streaming data and playing music in the background all day long, and it doesn't heat up my phone like PoGo does.)
This issue has been repeatedly raised here for almost a year, and Niantic has been unresponsive. That leaves two obvious options:
Report the app to the distributor. Google Play has a link specifically for this sort of thing at the bottom of their Pokémon Go page: Flag as inappropriate: Harmful to device or data. Apple's App Store may have a similar mechanism for reporting abusive apps. If enough people do this, Niantic might get a warning from Google or Apple, which (since those are their primary sales channels) would be harder for them to ignore than it is for them to ignore us.
Keep reporting the problem to Niantic. They obviously know about it by now, but they have been ignoring complaints about it for nearly a year. Don't let them think you don't care.
If your battery is showing signs of premature capacity loss (or if you have already had to replace it), be sure to include that information in both reports.
Google Opinion Rewards - Do surveys, earn Play store credits. I have over $30 in credits left ($20 from a promo on buying a Chromecast), and about $50 earned overall. They can be spent on apps or if you wanted - Pogo Coins. Except, I'm a freego player though. Never spent a cent on this game, going to keep going!
The gym appears to be in an area mapped as leisure=garden
- https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/194511221/history . It's been mapped in some form or another on OSM since 2012, well before the (invisible) EX raid map was sourced.
Gardens are one of the many EX eligible areas that don't render as dark green in Go at this time.
If you want to fix it, you need to go to each island that you're worried about and make them all inner borders of the "bay". I did two quickly here:

Try typing your email address (the one associated with your account) into this website to see if your email address has ever been compromised via other sources. It’s a long shot, but might be a factor.
It’s a website which collects lists of leaked and stolen email addresses, and keeps track of when websites announce they’ve been hacked.
Disclaimer: never provide your passwords to websites you don’t trust.
Nests are 100% dependent on OSM data, so when they decide to update nests again, it will be global and people will notice and post about it here. The last time they update nests (and other stuff that depends on OSM) was around January this year. If your local park is not a nest, then it isn't marked as leisure=park or as any other OSM tags that becomes a nest. Check OSM data in http://ideditor.com/ whether it was changed in the last year and if it isn't marked as leisure=park and is suitable for this tag, then add it yourself. Then you just need to wait :-).
We have a field nearby that is also a nest (all fields are), but only two spawnpoints. So I added a path that is there and wasn't mapped yet and one day, they will update their data and probably add spawnpoints along that path which will become part of the nest (if they happen to be inside the field).
I have a theory and I'd like your help to determine if it's valid.
What version is your Google Play Services on? You can download this app and it will tell you.
Is yours outdated? The current version should say version 15.0.90.
Technical explanation, no need to read unless you're curious: Many months ago, Google finally patched an exploit that was allowing location-spoofing apps to hide themselves. While you can still do location simulation (this is, after all, designed for developers to test location functions, not game cheaters), the app is now told your location is simulated.
There are some more technical details to it that I'm not sure about, all I know is non-rooted spoofing on Android was essentially killed off by Google, and not Niantic. Every spoofer using an Android device had no option but to root, or to downgrade their Play Services regularly (it's supposed to auto-update). Famous ones like JonnoPlays even made a YouTube video on how to use the app I linked to see if your Play Services is too new to spoof, how to downgrade it to a spoof-able version and so on.
So what I think Niantic is doing is simply flagging you if your phone has a vulnerable version of Play Services. Even if you aren't actually attempting to cheat in any way, their detection is idiotic and assumes you'd have no reason besides cheating to have an outdated version, because as I said it usually auto-updates.
However, on older devices it often doesn't update itself, especially if your phone is out of space. It's really stupid that they're doing this, but can you check and confirm for me? We had a local player get her account banned (all 3 strikes) and she confirmed she was on an older Play Services.
I use Calcy IV:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=tesmath.calcy
It's an overlay, and doesn't require signing in or what not. Just takes a screenshot and determines the IV. Has move ratings, appraisal narrowing, as well as power up cost, etc. Been using it for months with no problems. Since it doesn't tamper with the core app or tap into Niantic servers since it's just taking a screenshot on your device (like Pokie Genie on iOS, except this app is much faster due to the flexibility of Android allowing overlays to be active while running other applications, so the whole process is done with clicking a button instead of manually screenshotting and exiting the app) it's safe to use and there is no permissions that would trigger a false ban or anything since as I said before, it doesn't require logging in.
No. Apple has a Holiday Hiatus where no apps are approved. They would be INSANE to release anything just before that because if there's a game-breaking bug, it'll sit there, at peak time DURING a holiday event... It would be chaos. They do it now. Soon. Get bug fixes all set. Release those. Make sure that it's as smooth of an experience that they can ensure, then turn on the event, and enjoy the profits.
Also worth noting that the official app description does state you need a minimum of 2GB to play so if you're trying to play with 1GB and getting frustrated, by all means try the OP's suggestion but be aware that you're technically playing on a device that does not meet the software publisher's specifications.

What are you struggling with? GPS Status and and Toolbox is an app available here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eclipsim.gpsstatus2
When you get a notification from PokeNotify, click it, and it will ask you if you want to open the location with Google Maps or Radar. Choose Radar and it will display the location with that app as opposed to Google Maps.
Do you mean the visual map that you see your trainer walking around on in-game? If so, learning how to edit Open Street Map and then making relevant and correct changes is the way to go.
Keep in mind that Niantic hasn't updated the visual game map since the 25th of January 2018, so you might not see the results of any changes you make in a timely manner, if at all while you're still actively playing.
Expensive by a personal context, trivial by an enterprise one. I mean, SSDs are pretty cheap these days, and you can buy 'enterprise' grade storage at $1000-$8000/terabyte - that runs seriously fast because it's running in parallel IO to multiple NVMe SSDs.
... but chances are that doesn't matter, because the PoGo dataset isn't reliant on a global view - each player's inventory etc. is effectively isolated from each others, so it supports a sharding database topology very merrily, and things like elasticsearch are very easy indeed to scale wide. https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/_basic_concepts.html
As others have said, WiFi only iPads do not have a built in gps. You have a few options... you can either get the cellular pad (you do not have to activate a data plan) and have the built-in gps, or you can find an external gps off Amazon.
Many of the external GPS’s are advertised for general aviation because us pilots like to use them for our flight materials. I personally recommended Dual GPS and can attest to using it several times successfully for Pokémon Go (also using a hotspot if you have no data plan). Another good option is bad elf. I personally like dual because it is Bluetooth and cross-compatible with other devices. Bad elf locks you in because it plugs directly into the device, which blocks the port, but you don’t have to worry about recharging it.
The dot on the arc above the pokemon shows the level but isn't very easy to read as a human because it doesn't have any sort of markings and it isn't a linear scale.
Thankfully IV apps can check the level of your pokemon for you.
On android CalcyIV is your best bet.
On iOS PokeGenie is your best bet.
Just don't use any IV apps that ask you to sign in (via google or PTC) they can get you banned.
See this poll that was done specifically on the subject. It appears it might have been a guaranteed Larvitar, but was definitely not guaranteed shiny, although the odds appear to have been better.
I'd be curious as to if the boundaries of this relation: https://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/1934517 match the observable boundaries of the mega nest?
I'm not aware of anyone who has reported "natural=valley" as a nesting tag in the past but it wouldn't be a massive shock if it was. The date of the tag being added to the relation checks out for the recent OSM update and many nests are caused by natural=X tags (Long Island was caused by "natural=scrub", Berlin is caused by a series of areas tagged with "natural=plateau").
Well https://openweathermap.org gives drizzle (fog), rain, snow, clear, clouds and thunderstorm as main weather condition. And wind speed as an other value. Since they also use OpenStreetMap for roads etc. I assume they would use something like this.
{ coord: { lon: x.17, lat: xx.03 }, weather: [ { id: 804, main: 'Clouds', description: 'overcast clouds', icon: '04n' } ], base: 'stations', main: { temp: 8.33, pressure: 1026, humidity: 76, temp_min: 8, temp_max: 9 }, visibility: 10000, wind: { speed: 6.7, deg: 210 }, clouds: { all: 90 }, dt: 1512575700, sys: { type: 1, id: xxxx, message: 0.005, country: 'NL', sunrise: 1512545563, sunset: 1512574110 }, id: xxxxx, name: 'xxxxxx', cod: xxx }
Pro tip - you can create account on OpenStreetMap and manually edit your neighborhood, if there are any missing houses, roads, streets, etc. You can help make OpenStreetMap better!

Nice feature! But now I'll have to run google fit next to Samsung Health. Hope they'll add more fitness trackers in the future.
Edit: I'll try this app to sync between the two: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nl.appyhapps.healthsync
Switched off all trackers for Google fit because my Galaxy watch already tracks it and syncs with SHealth.
When viewing the listing from a desktop PC in the browser it shows you at the button the newest date when an updated Apk has been pushed, but it wont show the latest Staged rollout version unless your account has been flagged for it.
It just updated a little bit ago from September 17th to the 27th.

I found this android app for me it seems like a pretty good customizable simulator but not sure how to tune it for kyogre or if other settings are right would you suggest anything to make it more accurate ?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Quadrinity.PoGOThrowingSimulator&hl=es
I'm surprised nobody has asked ya' to upload to apkmirror yet!
Please share. :-)
I made a chart with all types. No clue if it's accurate, but I had fun making it :p https://codepen.io/lorgan3/pen/PBbVav/
If you spot any mistakes, leave a reply and I'll try fixing it!
Yeah, I have one of those near me. It's another good example of why myself and many others believe OpenStreetMaps to be the basis of spawns.
Look at the park in OSM. You can see that all of Wissahickon Valley Park is technically marked as part of Fairmount Park. Whatever algorithm they use to determine nests saw this one big contiguous park and made it all one big nest.
The official page says it: "You'll only be able to throw a Poké Ball using Pokémon GO Plus if you've caught the Pokémon before". From http://www.pokemongo.com/en-us/pokemon-go-plus/. So you can only learn there's a pokemon, but you'll need the phone to catch it.
No reason is given. I suspect that's because to catch a new pokemon you should actually "battle" with it by doing a good launch.
Not true. Australia has the 9th fastest 4G speeds in the world which are literally DOUBLE the average US speeds (32 vs 14mbps) and i'm with the fastest carrier. Go look at https://opensignal.com/reports/2016/02/state-of-lte-q4-2015/ and check Telstra in Australia vs anything in the US.
You can use the Stay On app while playing until they fix it. It changes the screen lock time to 30 minutes with just 1 tap (and goes back to your own setting with another tap).
If you don’t mind looking ridiculous, umbrella hats are amazing for pogo. The problem with regular umbrellas is you need one hand to hold the umbrella. I don’t know about you, but I can’t play pogo effectively one-handed.
Umbrella hats solve this problem perfectly. They leave both hands free for pogo.

I saw a number of people wearing these at go fest last year.
Calcy IV has a feature to extract your pokemon data into a CSV file (basically a table). And this without any API access.
However, you would need to let the app scan every monster you wanna have in the sheet, so approximaterly 1 second per monster - no idea how many you have ;) . But i think there is no faster way without risk of a ban.
I've just finised my Android version of this app (Not on the app store yet, as will probably be removed for some infringement)
http://www.filedropper.com/poketracker
Includes:
publishing to app store asap so will update link when it's live.
Huh. That's interesting, because I've never heard anyone use those two words interchangeably before today. I've always heard "retrospective" used in the context of looking back (having a per*spective* on the past) and "retroactive" in the context of *active*ly affecting something from the past.
Merriam-Webster has "affecting things past : retroactive" as a secondary definition of "retrospective", but not the primary definition (https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/retrospective).
Try downloading the APK and installing that way.
Let people know whether or not this works
The new update isn't available on APK Mirror at this moment. Once it's available he will start the process.
Edit: APK is available as of 1PM EDT https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/niantic-inc/pokemon-go/
iPhone doesn't let an app set your clock. You can only set it via Settings, choices being manual or "automatic" via the cell carriers.
But you can at least query the global clock servers with an app to see how wrong your clocks currently are:
http://appshopper.com/utilities/emerald-time
Now, me working in IT, ALL of my servers that need to coordinate or synchronize or log anything in real time, they set their clocks via "ntp" too. I cannot comprehend why Niantic's game servers do not also use this, and are all consistently wrong.
Those precious few seconds may have cost me one or two solo Machamp raids, back before Legendaries. And it's been a very consistent wrongness in the clock the whole time, with the userbase complaining about their missing seconds.
And such a simple fix too. On most Linux servers, this would be enough to do it:
service ntpdate stop ntpdate time.nist.gov service ntpdate start
Usually only required after a reboot, when the hardware clock may have gotten itself out of sync. (And the reason for turning off the ntpdate service is that both "ntpdate" and "ntpd" communicate on the same ports as each other; so long as the service is running, you can't update the local clock too.)
Perhaps /u/NianticGeorge could pass a note along to the server team?
Go to OpenStreetMap and add a walking path around the pokestop. My brother added the walking path at my local park and the Pokémon spawns are way up.
Edit: it took about 6 months for the walking path to show up though.
Edit 2: maybe it was only 3 months
Edit 3: you shouldn’t add walking paths that aren’t actually there.
> This is not the case since osm uses creative commons licence.
Close, but not quite. It's actually the ODbL. Which is very similar to creative commons.
After some light digging I found this, it's a free image and the first result on this page.

update: my cp11 Magnemite iv(11/6/6) can also beat the cp29 horsea without taking damage. but not consistent. maybe because how fast I tap the screen?
update:
cp10 iv(9/0/14) pound jigglypuff vs cp20 iv(4/6/12) horsea. success.
cp12 bulbasaur vs cp20 horsea above, success . 83xp
cp12 bulbasaur vs cp29 horsea ,fail.
Yes. It's really quite clever - it's all about automated anomaly detection, and seeing 'aberrant' patterns. And then deciding if those aberrations represent people cheating, and classifying stuff that matches that sort of pattern as 'probably good' or 'probably bad'.
It can work in near realtime, but there's no real need - and in many ways it's not useful to do that - it's far better not to give feedback on the 'triggers' - and just gather information on cheating patterns for use next time, and then ban all at once in the 'wave'.
I've been doing this on a relatively smaller scale using Elasticsearch Machine Learning
I've been doing analysis on logging from servers - it's a similar sort of problem, you've got an awful lot of 'noise' (e.g. stuff that's not a problem) to sift, so you need to pick out the signal from that. I would assume a similar technique will work for spoofer detection.
They're currently 40$ on Amazon from third party sellers. I picked one up 5 minutes ago.
Xiaomi Redmi 6 $138 on Amazon. I love Xiaomi phones for pogo

Ok. Now that we know for sure those are the 1gb variant, we can atleast try to do some troubleshooting.

Hope it helps.
