If you have a Samsung phone, there is a solution that worked for me. Download the Samsung Game Tuner app, click on the "Modes" tab, and select "Maximum Quality."
Also, if you are using Game Launcher, make sure the option "Save power during game" is set to OFF.
NOTE: When I had the problem, I had not yet downloaded the Game Tuner app. I had to download the app and set the quality to maximum in order to fix the problem.
I used an app to drop the resolution and texture quality of my game. It drastically reduced the lag I was getting.
Edit: Holy Inbox batman. The app is called Game Tuner
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin&hl=en
Here's a secret app us Samsung gamers like to use to farm money in games:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin
It lets you record macros and repeat them, don't need root.
If you want it on a per-app basis for games only, that feature already exists on samsung phones by default. Here it is on the app store
It's a default feature in Samsung phones.
If you have a samsung device that can use side sync you should already have Samsung Game Tuner which has macro functionality built in. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin
Although at the cost of having to watch an ad for however many hours the ad was worth for macro functionality, it's still probably easier than installing that at this point in the event.
When i went from an s4 active to s7... the active performed better than the s7.. needless to say i wasn't happy...
then i found there is a game tuner app from samsung that wasn't included on many (all?) s7's. installed it ran it.. now it runs great.
Look for game tuner under the play store or the samsung app store.
Samsung has a game tuner app that should help, it fixed my problem with it.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin
Edit: Doesn't support 7 yet -_-
Edit2: Works even tho it is not supported
This'll fix it. Lower Resolution to boost performance.
I can't remember who, but someone posted this link a while back, so thanks to them!
Use the Game Tuner app from Samsung to set HW Performance
to 0
. The phone's default seems to be a battery-saving -3
that kills framerates.
Edit: Game Tuner might tell you to update the Game Optimizing Service, which you can get from the Samsung Galaxy Store or APKMirror. I prefer APK mirror because the store requires some intrusive permissions.
Oh, good to know you're a Samsung user. Try this out :D
It's an official tool which allows to control graphic settings for any apps in game category. Default settings of 75% resolution and 60 FPS works well on lag reduction.
If lag still exists and you don't care about graphics quality, 50-60% resolution could help.
PSA: Samsung(and maybe Android) users can download the Game Tuner app and record a macro to press it for you.
Yes, install Samsung Game Tuner (Play Store). It lets you set custom profiles for all games and apps.
Lower resolution will result in it looking slightly off (less pixels) but you'll have higher framerates or better battery life.
Depends on what you prefer, try them out.
Make sure you close all your other apps that are running in background.
Also, Samsung makes a great app called "Game Tuner". Use ot to set Tsum Tsum game resolution to 30%..... change nothing else.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin
Is your phone a Samsung? There's an app from Samsung called game tuner that can turn down there game quality for you...
Could be this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin
It mentions resolution changing, FPS capping and texture quality changing..So it may be worth a go. :P
I didn't figure this out until I got a notification to download Game Tuner on the play store. It's a Samsung app, so no risk. Apparently they under clock apps to optimize battery and they look smudgy, play choppy. I first noticed it with clash of clans looking like crap. Anyway, download the app, open it, swipe right to the modes tab. Then click maximum quality, I think it's set to balanced quality by default and your game should run like it should
Use the samsung game tuner and mess around with the settings until u get it how you like it.
My setting for Tapped Out Resolution Ratio: 75 % Frame rate Limit: 60 fps Texture Quality: 100 %
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin
I've had this issue - if you grab https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin you will be able to force it to load in the highest resolution. Only need to do this once, and it will work for all the following times you open it.
I have an S7, and I have to fiddle with Samsung's Game Tuner app to get proper performance. If you're running Android P, the equivalent app would be Game Launcher.
If you are using a Samsung device you can use Game Tuner:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin
All other Android users have the "RR Graphics" App:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=lt.mvbrothers.graphics
I also don't understand why the Monkeys don't have this feature in RR3.
I use the "RR Graphics" to both decrease (for WTT) and increase the graphics settings (for normal play and taking pictures/videos).
I recall reading Android devices can use Game Tuner in order to artificially limit FFRK's FPS and have way more reaction time that way; haven't tested it myself as I got my 41 the hard way and didn't look back, but people on GF were positive about it.
[Android P OS support].
There is no official support of Game Tuner from the Android P OS due to service ** integration of Game Launcher and Game Tuner.** Please use the setting of the operating environment for each game with Game Launcher.
Download Game Tuner by Samsung. Adjust SimCity resolution, I'd recommend adjusting between 60% and 80%, anything below 60% things will become too big. You can also adjust HW performance to increase system performance.
You can download this app by Samsung on the playstore, it's called Game Tuner.
You can adjust individual game settings the way you want, so I set it to max resolution on my Note 5 for duel links specifically, it definitely works well for me
There is an official Samsung application that allows to unlock the true potencial of the processor, or to lower it if you need battery. play.google.com/store/
If you have a Samsung Device you can use the Samsung Game Tuner app, and if you have an Older or non-supported (Samsung) model there's the APK. If you don't have a Samsung, I'm also VERY interested in a solution. I have spent many hours googling for a solution to my Lenovo Tab, no luck :(
I wonder of any of you guys knows the app Game Tuner Google play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin&hl=en Basically it lets you to lower of the resolution of FGO to playable levels. Im running mine silky smooth even during Jalter NP despite having 1.5GB ram.
Try fiddling with this app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin
I am throwing a wild guess. May not work. Try to enable performance / gaming mode too, just another guess.
If you want a lower resolution just for when you're gaming, you might like Game Tuner (free app only for recent Samsung devices). It lets you customize performance settings such as resolution for individual games.
Have you tried game tuner?
Check out "Game Tuner for Game Launcher" - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin
There was and will be a feature that allows for you to over clock the app.
I emailed them about it and got this as a response.
Dear customer,
Sorry for any inconveniences.
We’ve temporarily taken the HW Performance feature back.
There were some inquiries for increased heat from the feature.
The performance-heat relationship is somewhat obvious, but we need a more acceptable version of it.
This is a temporary decision. We are preparing a better one and release it when it is done.
Thank you,
Game Tuner team
If you've got Nougat (Android 7.0+) installed, you might find some success with Game Tuner 3 and look over this guide I made back in April for how to get started. Be aware though that you'll need to babysit it a bit, as the device's loading times may make timing inconsistent given enough time so it might not be a reliable method for chain-macroing like you wanted.
It however is great for TMR-farming in Earth Shrine, and you don't need to risk rooting your device.
that's weird
what kinda error is it returning? does GameTuner's Google Play page offer you to install it on there?
if worst comes to worst it might not work with the S5 Active - this reddit post lists some compatible devices, but the S5 Active isn't among them
Try downloading an app call game tuner and running dokkan battle through it. That helped me alot on my s6 edge. It runs fairly smooth now. Especially after this last android update. I have it set to low for dokkan battle.
EDIT: here's a link to it https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin
Well you are in luck having a Samsung! Get this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin
Set resolution to 30% on Tsum Tsum. Game will run running 3x better!
Im on a Note 4.
Get the Samsung Game Tuner. I use it on my S6 with the graphics (resolution ratio and texture quality) turned all the way down (use the custom settings option in the game tuner app) and get a virtually lag free experience that way.
iOS apps are generally better optimized, even Google works harder on their iOS versions. Apple has for a long time been very careful about smoothness and because they can do hardware/software together, they had an advantage over android. Another big reason for it though, was because they kept the resolutions for their phones extremely low, and still do, to help with the smoothness as well as battery life.
The S6 was somewhat of a stillborn disappointment from Samsung and the S7 is what it should have been.
Regardless, the S6 should still be able to handle it no problem. Every once in a while you should restart your phone, it should help with performance, like once every 2-3 weeks.
Most importantly, you should download a Samsung app called Gametuner, which will allow you to adjust your game settings for Pokemon Go. Samsung has a much higher resolution on their top tier phones than Apple offers.
This will help smoothen the experience for you as well as improve battery life!
I use 50% resolution, so it's like 720p, which is just about what the iphone 6s runs at by default.
I stick with 60fps and haven't touched the texture quality yet, but you could try it out.
Good luck.
Samsung has an app for their newer phones that lets you control game resolution and can limit FPS.
For those with 1440p phones (imo entirely pointless pixel density), this will help a lot with power usage.

Game Tuner's v2.0 update introduction:
▶ v2.0 Update
1. Cheers, love! The Tuner's here!
The game list appears first, and you can see all of the modes on one page.
2. Feelin' blue
There was only one custom mode, you can add/remove it at will.
3. Wow, what are these all about?
The new features added include: Texture Quality control, Smart Dimming, Frame rate Info and more.
4. Not a game but... You wanna play, too? That'll be fun~
You can also set the resolution of apps that aren't games.
5. It's a game, I said, game!
You can directly set apps as games by changing each app's category.
(This change will be applied to Game Launcher and Game Tools on the Galaxy S7/S7 edge.)
6. Is this for my galaxy?
Supported devices are added.
(Galaxy Note Pro, Galaxy Tab S 8.4, Galaxy Tab S 10.5)
I found out that if I take the screenshot using the palm-swipe feature of my phone instead of Game Tuner I can send them normally. In my case it may be related to Game Tuner (link) naming convention, though I've never caused issues in the past.
Renaming the Game Tuner screenshots (as /u/dlb1116 suggested) to something like "_P1" works but it's really annoying.
Install Game Tuner app from Samsung.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin&hl=en
My game was still freezing a bit. So I went to Settings > Device maintenance > Storage > Clean now (cleans temp files)
Works great now.
If you have a Samsung I have used the Samsung Game Tuner before. One of the features is a floating icon that displays FPS.
Does anyone play on a Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2017 version running Android 7.0)? I recently bought this tablet and it normally runs very smoothly, but FFRK runs very poorly. The game runs much better on my Samsung Galaxy S7 phone. In battles, soul break animations slow everything down which makes sub-30 runs impossible. There are no performance/game settings I could find in the settings (which Samsung Galaxy phones normally have). Game Tuner is not compatible with this device, either.
I don't know if the app is available for the S8+, but you can download Samsung's Game Tuner. It allows you to create different performance profiles for various games, by changing some options. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin
I wonder if something like this might work?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin&hl=da
I think this is samsung only and required touchwiz, but perhaps there is an alternative outthere somewhere?
same bro, the game works fine but somehow it freezes for a sec or so.
I will recommend using Game Tuner by samsung, search it in galaxy store not in playstore for best compatibility.
And in game tuner use 50-60 mode. i'll help if you'll need.
Samsung Game Tuner allows you to slow down their game frame rate to about 15 frames per second. This makes perfect chaining very feasible, especially if you want to do it on your Samsung device.
Be aware however, it's not available on all Samsung devices.
I can't say I really recommend it for TMR farming, because of its lack of functionality, and ability to fine-tune. However, it does work in a pinch. There is a bit of setup in order to get macros to work, and I would have to look into it and get back to you.
Thanks to /u/wrjones18 for making a great thread detailing more about the app.
Since you have a Samsung, you want Samsung game tuner app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin&hl=en
You can set the resolution to the top just for Tapped out, that way you will not be zoomed in, make sure you are on wifi because you will have to re-download the game for the higher resolution.
The rest of your phone can be on power saving & lower resolution while Tapped Out is displayed at the top resolution.
As far as I understand Game Launcher is a separate Launcher for your games with a setting for your performance mode. Game Tuner (for Game Launcher) is a separate app that is dedicated towards profiles and tweaks for games.
You're talking about this right? Unfortunately it's not compatible with the S5, but I'll look into other ways to force resolution to see if that fixes it.
Apparently someone came up with a way to force Game Tuner to work on older models but I'll have to mess with that when I have time to kill. Right now I'm testing the Cheetah Mobile (ugh) Game Booster to see if that does anything. So far 4 dailies and no crashes... but I'm skeptical, since all it really does is kill background tasks which is something that was already pretty much under control. :/ edit: Yeah as expected, CM Game Booster is garbage, don't bother. Although, it does make it actually show a "stopped responding" error message rather than crash to home with no message at all.
Are you talking about this? If so, then I made this guide on how to do a basic TMR macro that can be used as a base to make your own macros for other functions in Exvius.
It might be due to your phones high screen resolution, which the GPU can't keep up with. You can try lowering the game's resolution with https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin
Putting the resolution at 50% or lower should help a lot. Let us know if this helps you.
Edit : added link to play store
I don't 100% know that game tuner is on the phones. But it's just an app you can open. It shows all the games is "tuning" for performance.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin
If you take your phone out, is the image cut off? If it is, download the Samsung Game Tuner and enable full resolution for games. I had to do this on my S7 to use cardboard apps properly.
If that's not the issue, I used the RK3PLUS headset with my old Note 3 and I never noticed it cutting off any large portion of the screen. With my S7 it won't even fill the whole lens.
This isn't Samsung specific - this is a known issue for many phones. I have the same problem on my Moto Z Play. I've also experienced this same issue on my Xperia Z5 Compact and on my Asus Zenfone Max.
On another note, since all of you seem to have a Samsung - you might want to try fiddling with the Game Tuner app made by Samsung. Many folks have sung its praises and claim it's helped speed games up and correct other issues. I can't speak for how helpful it is though as I don't have any Samsung devices. Hopefully this helps someone though!
Oh you have a samsung! I'm not exactly sure if it will work on your model, but download samsung's game tuner and turn down the settings to lowest (it reduces resolution to 480p, making it super easy to render and saves massive battery life). Hope this helps.
I had the same issue on my Xiaomi mi note 2, but just used game booster to get rid of all other open apps
Link to game tuner- NOTE: It won't show in appstore if you do not have a samsung/compatible device
It's an app from Samsung. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin Allows you to adjust resolution and other settings (think like adjusting graphic settings on a PC game). This is why you don't go that low One main thing I love is I don't have to use Niantic's half-assed battery saver and can use this with Game Tuner now (unsure if it works pre-7.0) "Save battery while your phone auto-playing games with Flip-over Screen-off feature."
I don't know yet how much more it will give. I'm going to test the limits of how low I can go without the game having a hell of a time doing anything. It's partly evident in my screenshots of what happens going that low. Almost impossible to move the screen around, the screen gets cut off and jumps a bit.
I'm thinking 25-30% would be lowest usable settings. Again, need to test it for myself. I'll sacrifice a lot of quality during lucky egg sprees but not so much I can barely tell which Pokemon I'm choosing. I've noticed a marked improvement already by lowering texture quality to 50% and resolution to 50-60%. Doesn't affect gameplay much if any either.
That's too bad. I've been tempted to get the S8+, but I find it less tempting now...
Try downloading Samsung's Game Tuner and follow the settings found here.
You might want to try Game Tuner and create a custom mode with 60fps as your Frame rate Limit. I honestly don't think it will work but you can give it a try.
Link : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin
I upgraded to a samsung a6 10" octa core and get this issue as its rendering sb at 1080p, although play store said not compatible I used samsung game tuner (says it needs Exynos chipset, which my tablet has) to reduce the resolution in the game to 75% with noticable improvement. I havent tested framerate or anything else as its not designed for my tablet but most bsb are fine or at least slow to an acceptable speed.
I doubt it'll work on the kindle fire but theres no other app like it out atm. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin
Switched to a new phone?
If so, and if you noticed lower resolution from your previous phone - install Game Tuner and manually set the Boom Beach app to run in high res.
Need Help.
My kancolle android is stuttering. I need an apps that work like Game Tuner for Samsung smartphone. Since I use ASUS , I can't use that Game Tuner on my phone. Any recommendation?
Have you tried disabling the Game Launcher/Game Tools overlay thing? That was the cause of my lag and SIF ran normally once I did that.
Alternatively you can download Game Tuner which(if you want to keep the overlay) will allow you to set the game mode to "maximum quality" which should get rid of the input delay and whatnot. Apparently the phone is set on balanced which caps your screen fps at 30, resulting in some horrendous lag.
Is the Samsung Game Tuner app compatible with the S4? It's an awesome app, it lets you choose your resolution with all games, so you can choose between quality or performance.
Edit:Looks like it's not, but try it yourself. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin
Visual quality and framerate to low + brightness to the minimum + sound disabled.
If you can use Samsung's Game Tuner, set it to the minimum resolution and framerate settings you're fine with, and maybe greyscale display for the game. The best battery-saving option by far. If your device is not supported by the required game service's last version, you can sideload an older version on APKmirror that enables the base functions of Game Tuner.
Link / article describing functionalty
Samsung has a game tweaker app that lets you lower resolution or frame rate, its really meant to save battery and its recently enabled for note 4
http://www.androidheadlines.com/2015/10/samsung-releases-official-app-optimize-framerates.html
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin
they also built it into S7 roms now (called game centre) . If you can install a ported S7 rom for your Note 4 then you'll also get it as its in my note 5 ported rom
One possible way to test a different resolution in-game is to use the S7 Game Launcher's settings, but it seems like frame rate is lowered too. I use Samsung's Game Tuner app which can change resolutions and frame rate independently on my Note 5, but I'm not sure if the S7 is supported.
Usually it shouldn't drop frames that quickly but I haven't played those games. Due to the high resolution of the phones display some games can get demanding. That it gets warm is kind of normal in demanding games but it shouldn't get too hot.
If nothing else helps you could try the Samsung Game Tuner app - that should help https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin
Samsung have released an app to allow you to reduce the resolution that games run at so you can save battery, reduce the chance of throttling etc.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin
There are a couple of reasons the iPhone can run better - the resolution is lower plus the fact that the SOC is much bigger than that of the S6 and is full of empty space on the chip that really only dissipates heat.
Edit: SOC not SOT
Try Game Tuner to set it back to native: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin&hl=en
I don't have an S8 but I use Samsung's Game Tuner to reduce the resolution of Ingress on my Note 5.
If you have an S6 or newer you can also use Game Tuner. It's a bit easier to set up.
Use: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin
Should solve your problems.
I think he's talking about Samsung's own game tuner app.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin
Did you install Samsung's Game Tuner perhaps? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin
That can change the resolution of games.
You'd want the other Samsung app called Game Tuner.
Samsung has made an app similar to Game Launcher before:
Also there is some 3rd party ones: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.burakgon.gamebooster3
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fraumobi.boost.game.gamebooster
Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin
iOS: idk, I don't have iPhone so I haven't tried looking for it or an equivalent app.
Game Tuner by Samsung does this, along with other performance enhancements.
Try using Game Tuner. It's an app made by Samsung for Samsung phones and allows you to change the resolution.
If you're using a newer Samsung phone, grab Game Tuner from Google Play and it'll set you straight.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin
Try Game Tuner and see if it works on there.
Here, I've read some very recent Samsung phones on Android Pie can't download it.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin&hl=en
That is what I used.
You might find other apps if you search for "fps limiter." Good luck!
Seems unnecessary... https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin I mean, the OP6 has the game mode.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin
I've used this once or twice, maybe it'll help you out
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin
In play store application. Only for Samsung smartphones. Go to options and enable show fps.
try installing game tuner and set the games to run at HD resolution
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin&hl=en_US
Try this link. I think it is Samsung only.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin
Link - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin&hl=en
Sideload it if it isn't compatible
This one https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin&hl=it ? Sadly it's only for Samsung devices.
samsung game tuner, if you have an exynos chip https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin&hl=en_GB
It's a Samsung-exclusive app which allows users to adjust resolution, fps, texture quality, etc. Some users reported that reducing the resolution and texture quality can reduce lag in the game.
To use this, you have to first intall GameMode.
http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/samsung-electronics-co-ltd/samsung-gameservice/samsung-gameservice-1-1-87-2-release/gamemode-1-1-87-2-android-apk-download/
Then you install Game Tuner.
Latest version (Android 6.X or above):
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin&hl=en
Last version that is compatible with Android 5.X or below:
http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/samsung-electronics-co-ltd/samsung-game-tuner/samsung-game-tuner-2-3-6-release/samsung-game-tuner-2-3-6-android-apk-download/
GameMode is essential to the proper running of Game Tuner and it will not appear in your app drawer after installation. You should use Game Tuner to tweak the settings for the game.
It should be this one:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin&hl=en
Let me know if it works on the S4!
Link to game tuner- NOTE: It won't show in appstore if you do not have a samsung/compatible device
Is that not just like Samsung's Game Tuner?
I have not tried it yet, but maybe this Samsung game tuner helps?
Install this app game tuner
Came here to suggest Game Tuner. Works like a charm.
Link for the lazy - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin&hl=en
My bad, it's in the Google Play Store. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin&hl=en It allows you to control the resolution/quality of games.
For everyone having the same problem due to unhelpful fucktards, the link is https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin
If it doesn't show up in search it's likely because the s5 isn't compatible as was advertised, as was the case for me.
Try the Game Tuner app:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin&hl=en
Anyone whos having problems with their phone overheating and dropping frames need to not be retarded.
There's a handful of apps on android that let you choose the FRAMERATE and RESOLUTION of the game Pokemon GO.
Fuckn babies, everywhere, delete the game you nerds.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin
EDIT: this comment is not for OP. Its for the regular folk accumulating in this thread throwing pokeballs at 2 frames.
