USB C adapter is fairly snug but you'll need to get used to hauling a dongle everywhere. As far as audio quality goes, it depends... you can get a cheap dongle from Amazon which works well enough but depending on the headphones can generate a static buzz on some more sensitive headphones.
What I'd recommend if you've got 100 dollars to burn is something like the Fiio btr3k, it's a USB C Dac with Bluetooth functionality that I find works great, but it is on the more expensive side.
Really do your own research for what you want on usbc dacs, you can find Dacs ranging from 10 to 300 dollars for your phone, I find the fiio above to be a good middle ground for me but you might be interested in other things then me. I'd recommend posting this to r/headphones as well as they might have some recommendations for you.
Amazon, it's a stick on piece of stainless steel, looks like it was part of the design once in place and is very secure. Very pleased with the look once I got the new stainless band and bezel, now looks like a stylish dress watch. I have had plenty of people surprised it's a smart watch.
Did the same thing as you! But i got the 256gb for the same price. s21 256gb
If you are able to change it into this one, it is a better deal in my opinion.
I got the case from amazon for 15$ a week or so ago. It is crazy how much it has deprecated since it was released new.
The laser cutter is one we have at work in our education annex. It is a pretty sweet toy. Every time I use it I want to get one, but then I remember, it was 25k. I am fine with just using it during my lunch breaks.
The absolute best icon pack on the Google Play store in terms of design, number of icons, and developer responsiveness is Borealis, and I will not change my mind about this.
try the samsung plus beta app if it doesn't crash as usual or its not yet showing on some devices yet.

i promise no results after trying it.
Looks like the ESR Mimic. It has a glass back. I received mine from Amazon but no phone yet.

I had the spigen air armor for my s8 and it was great, noticeably thinner than the tough armor. And if you want the thinnest, the thin fit is the way to go.
I started using them on my OG Pixel. The standard OneUI gestures mixed with One Hand Operation+ makes the experience even better on my S10e
Note 9 current device which I own, and had the note 8, is one step ahead of innovation than the N8. My N9 was 999 usd, in august. getting a note 9 less than mine and getting all those extras is more than enough incentive to move forward with it. N9s pen much more advanced and N8 no stereo dolby speakers. Larger durance battery on the N9, and the N9 will be eligible for another OS past PIE os in the future. The call is yours, and don't forget advanced camera features too.

Here's a secret app us Samsung gamers like to use to farm money in games:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.gametuner.thin
It lets you record macros and repeat them, don't need root.
RICE DOES NOT FUCKING WORK!
If you're going to put your phone in to anything, put it in to a bag filled with these. These little babies will remove all the moisture in your phone really quickly. Rice i repeat RICE does not work!
PS: The link is the first thing on Google. I do not promote this seller or advice you buy from them.
Right now you should have the phone turned off, removed from any source of charging and left to completely dry out for the next 3 days. Give it a good shake flicking the water towards the open holes on the phone (Bottom and top speakers) then leave for a few more days until no more water remains. At this point you may try to turn the phone on, if it's completely dead place it on charge and watch the screen. If no warnings = good if warnings = leave to dry out longer and or take it to a phone shop for repairs.

YouTube Vanced brings an OLED (black) theme, background video playback, ad-free playback, Picture-in-Picture mode, the ability to view resolutions higher than what your screen can show, etc.
Well, you'll have to install these two, for YouTube Vanced.

I'm a fan of Anker products so I searched on Amazon and found this one. It's not cheap but the power bank output is 87w. Unfortunately I couldn't find the same power bank without the bundled 65w USB-C charger. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B089D4176K/ref=cm_sw_r_u_apa_glt_fabc_B43CQZR8MYH46FDVQ3V1

This is the one I have. It does the job but looks really plain. I like it because it has protection for the hinge when folded. I just wish they have design and color options.
Is it burned in or is it a temporary image retention? I've noticed this exact thing but it goes away after a few hours.
Try running an OLED burn in fixer like this. Fixes image retentions for me so I know it's not burn-in. Put phone on full brightness and on each color for like 2 minutes or so.
Probably a missing standard. Super fast charging uses USB C PD PPS (what a shitty alphabet soup), but the laptop charger might not support it so it falls back to the highest supported power.
Anker is always a safe bet, though Samsung sells their 25W charger for less if you just wanna top out at 25W and not worry about being able to use it for other devices.

personally i like the notes and own almost all of them. i like having the larger screen, the stylus, more ram. "future proof" sounds like wordy bullshit to me, there arent really other selling points on the device.
I currently have 4 25w samsung bricks, my daughter also has 2. I also have a 3rd party gan brick capable of fast charging a samsung device at 25 or 45w, it will also charge my surface pro. It also has a usb a port in addition to the 2 cusb c ports, for my watch charger.
Honestly I don't care and am quite frankly tired of hearing people complain about it.
If you have Samsung Galaxy Buds, Buds+, Buds Live, Buds Pro. The Galaxy wearables app has a pop up that shows the battery capacity of each Bud and the case. As for third party ear/headphones, if they are capable and have the ability to pull the battery stats, if you tap and hold on the Bluetooth button in your quick panel, it should open your Bluetooth settings and with your ear/headphones connected it should say "Connected for calls and audio with how much battery capacity it has".
There are also apps on the PlayStore like this one would work to give you the battery capacity... https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=blue.music.com.mag.bluetoothstereo
For gestures I use Samsung's One Hand Operation + from the play store. It's genuinely made my experience on my Note 9 miles better. Here's a link:

bxActions. /u/Dream traveler, here you go. You can remap the Bixby button to do many things. Note: some actions just be unlocked by plugging it into a PC, but it's an easy process.
That said, are you aware you can open the camera by double-pressing the power button?
I had an iphone 3g, 4, and 5.
This past weekend I took the plunge and switched to the s6. 4 Days of ownership and I'll never use iphone again. I LOVE this thing!
I've recently started playing a game every time I'm at the computer... I say "I want an app that..." and I search for it, and IT'S ALWAYS THERE. On Samsung Experience, you could lower your resolution from the one native for the panel, as seen in this article.
Have to kill Facebook services and maybe disable auto update on play services.
You can always run ADB Shell to debloat, remove all Facebook services and Facebook from your phone and use an lite based alternative like Hermit

Its a good case but any of these cases with the screen covers will make the in display finger print reader very unstable.
try this one - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.grapplo.mightyfonts&hl=en_US
my wife who is dyslexic like you said she only used this for a few days before quitting and moving to "normal" font. her reason was that if she became reliant on it, she wouldn't be able to read easily when it came to "everything else". meaning the font is a crutch for her and not helping her out.
however, i guess at the end it all depends on the level of severity.
she was told she would be able to never read past 4th grade level, but she proved them wrong and was able to finish college.
best of luck
try this - https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyS8/comments/7mv747/how_to_instal_dyslexic_font_on_s8/
Looks like you can't.
Don't know if it's because you're using a Korean model outside of Korea, or if the Korean model just doesn't let you turn off LTE.
Did you try this?
(Yes it says force 4G but you can set other stuff too)
The "Google Internet Speed Test" gives very different results compared to Ookla Speed Test.
I get 64mbps with Google compared to 370 with Ookla. That is 4G with Telstra in Brisbane.
Here are my results for both tests, note the time is only one minute difference.
Just for interests sake, would you be able to run the test again using Ookla? Thanks.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.deskclock
In the preinstalled one you can't do it, but you can download the Google Clock app that haves that feature. The link above
Here or other launchers from the Play Store.
If you'd like to keep using One UI, just download any icon pack from the Galaxy Themes app, it will also remove the spotify white border.
I've used this app and found it to be quite useful. Hope this helps!
Edit: I don't know if Samsung has a screen recorder in the works, but tbh I feel like they quite often drops the ball on their apps. I would keep your expectations low for now.
I had this happen to me a couple years ago with my old Galaxy Nexus. I don't remember what it was called but there is an app that lets you change the information that the system reads for the internal storage, I'll see if I can find anything. But this happened 7 years ago.
Edit Use this app to change the partition size. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jmz.soft.twrpmanager
Yeah buddy, there's a link to the APK in this sub reddit, however, enjoy:
Only apk site I use that works is here https://www.apkmirror.com Try a search for any app there.

try any on that page starting from newest. all i can offer.
If you don't have an aversion to Google Photos, I'd recommend putting up your photos there instead of trying to put all your photos locally (which is what I think you're doing). Google Photos are unlimited if you use the 'high quality' setting. If you do want the original quality, set the GP setting to Original via photos.google.com however it will eat into your storage limit. You can also set the quality setting in the Google Photo's app as well.
Download your iCloud photos locally and then upload them to Google Photos The phone will automatically have access to it and you don't need to have all your photos local. I wouldn't bother placing your iPhone photos local. Start fresh.
Just a note: Gallery and Photos will have access to all the same folders on the device locally. It doesn't really matter which one you use unless the photos you want to view are in the Google Photos and not local. Gallery wouldn't have access to those.
Look at them side by side and see which one suits your needs.
You could likely get a new A8 at nearly half the price. (Then again, I bought a one month old S8 for 400$cad just last week)
I've used these types of cases for years. I wouldn't necessarily go swimming with it, but showers and rain shouldn't be a big problem. Plus they are fairly rugged.
Use this and also you've got to download the same app in your TV, when you open APPS, scroll until you find Smart View enabled apps
You could try using an HDMI switch. There's plenty of them on Amazon. I recommend this one.
This one has raised edges Poetic TurtleSkin Series for Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 Plus Case with S Pen Holder , but it will make the tablet heavy. If the tablet falls flat on the floor, the screen won't break. If the screen hits the corner of something then it'll break.
Use this app and follow the instructions verbatim. Just tried it out and it works. Make sure to select the One UI All method when it asks which Android version.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.htetznaing.zfont2
There is no easy way to do this at all. Take a look at the following app from Google Play Store I had to use it years ago.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nbeghin.whatsappmigrator
It's a theme app with lots of different themes, you can change the color of basically the entire UI, icons & basically everything.
Want your icons to look like they do on a Google Pixel? Easy
Want night mode everything? Yes
Want some cool UI that just looks cool? Got that too
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=project.vivid.hex.bodhi
If you know what Substratum is, well, Hex is basically Substratum but it actually works. Substratum doesn't work on many Samsung devices AFAIK, Hex does.
Yes I do and if you buy don't read the directions you'll think you lost your mind. Watch the video its a whole easier to understand.

But on a more practical note, I mostly use it when I don't trust my fingers to hit a particularly small button, or as a fidget-device (oh yeah, I'm one of those annoying pen-clickers... I'm so sorry!) and occassionally to write text just because it feels so elite.
There are some games like World of Goo which are just made for the S Pen as well, so those are a godsend when I have no laptop or internet. Hope this helps!

Edit: I totally forgot I use its screen capture feature sometimes as well, which is a nice little feature.
Note 9 user here as well. I'm a long time android user, and I finally convinced my gf to make the switch recently. She got the S9+ and after getting used to it, she loves it. iMessage is the only thing that she misses.
Personally, I haven't used iMessage on a Mac but I do know that Pushbullet allows you to send messages from a PC (also transfer files between devices and such) and I'm sure that you can use it on a Mac as well. There's also AirDroid, which accomplishes the same thing.
Also, the Samsung ecosystem is pretty cool. I thought that Apple people were kind of over hyping having everything connected until I switched from OnePlus to Samsung. Samsung makes a lot of stuff, and having it all work together is incredibly convenient. My favorite is using my phone as a remote for my smart TV.
Edit: I just saw the other comments talking about Messages by Google. I totally forgot about that lol. That's probably the easiest solution.
Well, I'm not "Anybpdy" (LOL) but I found that the gboard (Google Keyboard) does a better job at swiping vs the stock Samsung keyboard and does better auto-correct on the rare occasion I actually type a word :)
Immersive Mode:
Mode Full -> No status bar in the PokeGo.
Mode Navigation Bar -> transparent status bar in the PokeGo.

First of all, Smart Switch because it's the easiest way to move your files like photos and videos to Android. btw Samsung Music is not installed by default so you have to download that too. And a good screen recorder (link here) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kimcy929.screenrecorder
It's not ideal but you might like it anyway, so there is an app called power shade and it replaces the notification shade with a custom one, I find it really useful as you can change colours which allows you to extend the dark theme to your notification shade.
Yes I suggest too also using the darkest wallpaper that masks the cutout. HERE https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.chainfire.hideyhole&hl=en_US

BTW, and downloaded can be moved to phone rom internal under folder ringtones or music. many times the files aren't always in those folders when downloaded. thanks samsung.
If this "14-day limited trial of free Samsung Themes" concept is actually implemented for Samsung's edition of Android 9/Pie, then that action is utterly bollocks, especially at a time when customers are practically ready to throw money at Samsung for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy "S10". All this move does is punish people who like to customize their phone visuals and punish the subset of developers who actually want to be generous to customers. I know that the Samsung Galaxy S9 probably didn't meet sales goals, and that Samsung needs/wants to make money, too, but dang - there are better ways.
What happened to the strides towards user customization with things like Samsung's Good Lock 2018 application/app? It's bad enough that root access (for customization) is barely achievable in Samsung's modern smartphones.. Even something like making the Bixby button natively remappable or re-adding in that Infrared (IR) Blaster feature would probably net Samsung more pennies than erecting a universal paywall at something like the Samsung Themes store (towards the small number of people who even know about it and use it).
I'm mainly worried about if Theme Galaxy will still work properly.. For such a seemingly-robust and maintained app that seems to let people make their own visual theme without "Substratum reapplication issues", it seems quite underrated/somewhat unknown - hardly mentioned here.
Potentially, Theme Galaxy + a launcher like Nova Launcher Prime can help to soothe this stupid scheme from Samsung (the only issue might be that Nova's notification badges may not be as "seamlessly integrated / non-glitchy" as the TouchWiz badges).
I work at BandLab and we are doing exactly this for Android: musical editor + unlimited storage for songs + social part.
It doesn't have all the features of SoundCamp, but we have a pretty solid musical editor with midi support, looper and other features.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bandlab.bandlab
Yes, that will work perfectly. I have this Anker and use it connected to my original Samsung charger that came with the phone (Note 8).
I ended up buying another pad tho, which I use with an Anker charger I bought later. Both Fast Charge at high speed.
Just make sure you get Micro USB or USB-C depending on the phone/cable or a different cable might be needed.
Since NordVPN is interfering with all of your traffic, it gets accounted as the NordVPN app itself is draining it. I had the same question first, but the phone battery life itself was not affected significantly. If yours is, I would recommend attempting to run OpenVPN GUI with NordVPN servers and check if it acts the same
Use Navbar Apps.
Can be a bit buggy at times, but it does usually keep the Navbar black.
Should look like this.
I have not tried this app but I saw it earlier in XDA. You can find it in the Play Store
Button Mapper: Remap your keys by flar2
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=flar2.homebutton
You can give it a shot, wouldn't hurt. Has pretty decent reviews.
if you use a different launcher you can make the app drawer 100% transparent.. something like nova launcher will work.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teslacoilsw.launcher&hl=en
Without root you can't. Someone made an Xposed module to disable it, but most likely needs root.
Samsung introduced Good Lock last year which let you put these static notifications in a folder to hide them. But they haven't updated it for Nougat. They still may (don't hold your breath) but keep it in mind.
What I'm doing now is using this app - Notification in Bubble Elite It will move all your notifications to a floating bubble you can place anywhere on your screen. Then you tap the bubble and look at your notifications at your leisure. I find I rarely have to pull down the shade to see notifications anymore. It takes care of the annoyance of the static notifications (like the Gear one you have.)
I got the app for free this past week so it might go on sale again. The developer has put his apps on sale for free in the past. /r/googleplaydeals is a good sub to find apps that go on sale and for free.
Yes, I use an app called Smart Lockscreen it blocks the power off function when locked and also in some devices can lock the status/notification bar, it's free, it works so well with non-removable battery devices, I've been using it on my S6 and now S7.
Download samsung voice recorder app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sec.android.app.voicenote and do a test with interview mode on top and lower mics. Say testing testing top mic 123, then testing testing lower mic 123. Check the results, reply to this comment with the file so I can check it if you want. I had this problem a couple months ago, I just had to tell samsung the mic was broken and they fixed it.
I used fast wireless charging on this phone and other phones for a long time, and it wasn't a problem for me.
However, it's pretty known that it does heat up more and may cause the battery to wear faster.
Since a slow wireless charge is more than enough to charge my phone while sleeping or keep it topped up at my desk, I just use them as slow chargers to avoid any possible issues.
Also, FYI, the Silver Seneo is on sale with a coupon code.
I don't know of any way to do this besides rooting and installing a custom ROM that gives you the option to disable the hardware buttons. The touch buttons (app switch and back button) always get my kids because they don't understand why things are happening since they didn't 'press' anything.
Anyway, once lollipop comes out it has a much needed and long overdue feature called 'app pinning'. You'll be able lock an app on the screen no matter what.

Well first of all not screaming can help a lot
And second of all Samsung does not install Facebook on your phone. What Samsung installs is the Facebook App Manager/Installer, which is basically a placeholder app that only prompts you you to download Facebook (the actual app) if opened.
The said placeholder app will not eat up 200mb of your storage. Some other app or service is automatically downloading it.

what you decide is your move and money,
Look at the names and designs:
If the leaks about Samsung releasing 4 models of S10 are correct, having a different notch on every model to differentiate them is a good idea and only the top of the line gets the new behind the screen camera.
They have a patent for the camera behind an oled panel https://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_patent_shows_selfie_camera_may_be_behind_the_screen-news-29217.php

Hey just realized about Samsung sound assistant today. It does exactly what you want you can pick individual volumes for apps. Sorry I didn't see this earlier, I downloaded the Google Phone Go apk from apkmirror https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-phone/google-phone-23-0-208561757-go-release/google-phone-23-0-208561757-go-2-android-apk-download/
Here. Install this and turn off automatic updates.
Serviio looks like Plex (https://plex.tv/), which is a downloadable app on my 55' LED Samsung smart tv/samsung tablet/galaxy s4.
In an ideal world, xbmc would be an app on smart tvs. Doesn't look like it's happening anytime soon though.
I didn't even unintentionally mention it. You are just making assumptions to prove a point to yourself. I have no illusions about cloud services. I keep a good password with secondary authentication methods. I also am not so vain to think that anyone would give two shits about the pictures on my phone.
There is also no proof that your phone is more secure than a cloud account or vice versa. You could have some malware on it, it could get stolen/lost, or any other catastrophe like an SD card corruption and then you have nothing. All your precious photos and videos will be gone forever.
About the cloud storage, you literally get 15GB of free storage with your Google account. You can get 100GB for $20/year. How much is that SD card? A good 500GB card with good specs will run you $70-$80? That is 4 years of cloud storage with the 100GB plan or if you delete emails, documents, pictures and videos that are garbage (everyone has them) you could easily get by on 15 GB. How long have you had that SD card in your current phone? How long did you have the previous one? If you are getting a new card every 2 or 3 years (at the prices I mention) then you are losing money compared to the cloud.
One of my favorites is Quire.
It's a free task management software that provides features such as kanban board, offline syncing, gantt chart, easy collaboration, reminders, priorities....etc.
It's quite agile and easy to use. Only downside is that they don't have many templates.
That's right. And you can test it yourself using my app. It uses similar technique that Samsung repair technicians use to test the water resistance
I released the app back in June https://www.reddit.com/r/samsung/comments/oev1rt/app_water_resistance_tester_app/

Well the price of charger is not expensive anymore which you can buy around $16 from Anker 25W(no cable) or the $20 official samsung usb 25 C (with cable)
I have a pair of Galaxy Buds Plus and a pair of Anker Soundcore Neo, and while they're more convenient, they're not as comfortable in my ears as the cheap wired Samsung headphones I have (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00Y4S55TA/)
I can't listen for more than an hour on my bluetooth headphones without my ears feeling "sore" or "tired". And yes, I've tried different rubber tips and wings.
They're nice for working out and exercising but for pure comfort (i.e. can't tell that they're in my ears) I still go back to my wired ones.
I'm just upset that the choice was taken away under the pretense of "more battery", when we know for a fact that it was to sell their bluetooth earbuds.
You could also use the side of your hand and do a swiping motion across the whole screen or use Good Lock (or just One Hand Operation if you don't have the need for the whole feature set) to add software buttons for a screenshot.
Here's an example of what I mean.
This is the one I use and I'm surprised by the quality vs price (it's really good):

I have an s21 ultra and this is honestly first screen protector that doesn't lift on the curved edges where it collects dust and looks like crap after 3 months. I'm still on the first protector in the 2 pack!
Oh, I have a spigen slim case and have no issues with it. In fact, I get better results with this one the spigen's own screen protector lol
I had to take the plunge on a random Amazon one after the Whitestone one I got was shocking

There are VESA mounted stands like this on Amazon (sorry for it being from Amazon Germany, see it simply as an example):

I use this exact one for a 55" Samsung for the original stand being too wide for the furniture below it. Works fine.
I found Syncthing to be the most convenient. It syncs folders between the phone and the computer, just put whatever you need to use across devices and it'll automatically appear in all the devices you've synced. Here's the app, and here's the website to download the Windows 10 application.
After a few months with the phone, I've settled on the official leather case by Samsung, and the ESR Liquid Skin screen protector.
It's such a smooth combination for me. The case is slick, buttons are tactile and clicky, and over all just feels great for me.
The screen protector was a little tricky getting the install correctly, but once I figured it out, you literally can't even tell it's there it's such a good fit. I'm partial to the skin protectors because over time with glass, I get super annoyed with the oleophobic coating being removed and my face oils sticking to the screen.
