Uh, OK. Some evidence other than "we imagine" and "no updates since August 2016" (WRONG) would be nice. And
> Its possible Google will never fully "sunset" Inbox
seems to really say "Our headline was BS". But whatever.
Looks like you got the tail end of a staged rollout that started just before Nov 1. That version was published to APKMirror on November 1.
You can grab the latest Beta if you want Oreo now.
inbox isn't completely dead -- not yet, anyway. just install an older apk
Sorry for the terrible formatting of the OP, I'm unable to edit it, and I can't get any of the images like the one from the read more screen, nor the installed version (v.0.101.0) to upload to Imgur. I have submitted the APK to APKmirror. I'll be updating this reply as needed.
The patch notes are as follows:
Aspect ratios and UI are now optimized for larger screens such as iPhone X and Samsung 8.
Lucky eggs and Star Pieces are now accessible and usable from the Raid and Gym Battle inventories.
Various Bug fixes and performance updates.
APKmirror download:
Screenshots I couldn't get uploaded on 05.25.2018:
Lens in Camera
Portrait Color Pop
Portrait Depth adjustment
RAW camera support.
All coming to older pixels. In fact. You can get it now. Install the Pixel 3 Camera APK
Is Mozilla planning to port firefox quantum to android platform?
The current version is slow and a bit buggy compared to chrome (which is understandable given android is Google's platform).
Currently using Firefox Focus and Waterfox (a fork of firefox, still under development)
Edit : Just tried out Firefox Rocket as suggested in the weekly app suggestion on this sub. Currently restricted to Indonesia. Download it form ApkMirror
Edit: uploaded, waiting on approval
Edit 2: mine hasn't gotten approved yet but here's one that has
I Just uploaded to APKMirror. Waiting on Androidpolice approval.

OP linked to the 320dpi version, which is optimized for certain screens. Here's the "nodpi" version, which works for every screen. The install file is a tiny bit bigger (10.5 MB vs 9.9 MB). Both are officially signed by Google, meaning they're unmodified and you can trust them.
Just tried on my Samsung Galaxy S9+ and it seems to be working.
You can get the APK from apkmirror.com. They are a legit site and their APKs are all signed by the actual company they come from so you know they aren't tampered with.
It's available at apkmirror:

I really hope not since I rooted to get rid of HTC's bad user interface and install cyanogenmod.
As soon as I can find an APK mirror link for 0.37 I'll let folks know what it does.
EDIT: APK mirror link is up https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/niantic-inc/pokemon-go/pokemon-go-0-37-0-release/pokemon-go-0-37-0-android-apk-download/
EDIT 2: Updated game. It's now hanging on the login and saying it can't connect to the server. Hitting "Retry" simply brings the same error up ad infinium. See http://imgur.com/a/muf0L
They also have Firefox Rocket, exclusive to Indonesia for some reason, but available on APKMirror.
We use apktool for decompiling the apks from apkmirror. Then the rest of the process is automated using a program coded by Razerman in Visual Studio. Then once the program does it's thing they are compiled using apktool once again :D
APK Mirror link for Samsung Internet Beta. In the app's description, it says all Galaxy phones and Google Nexus phones above android 5.0 are officially supported.
FB Messenger Lite is seriously the best way for me to use messenger. Lightweight, fast, and simple.

This definitely looks like an update is rolling out. Hopefully new details about evolution items or other juicy things.
Very likely whatever remnants are needed for the Adventure Sync feature.
Edit: A certain website (Go (H)ub) is saying on Twitter that they are already mining version number 0.125.1.
Ah well it was worth a try posting that for the karma
If Google don't announce this today I'll post how I enabled it (or Mishaal will add it to the article). It does need today's update (Xylophone) to work though
I also have some more screenshots of it in the imgur album I sent them with
If you're on Android you can sideload the APK and install it that way.
Funktioniert tadellos ;)
It didn't appear for me in the Samsung+ app initially. I had to delete the app and sideload the latest Samsung+ beta APK from APKmirror here
EDIT: OTA download available in the Settings after registering:
Technically correct, otherwise pretty much useless.
APKMirror for the betas, Play Store for 1.x; enroll in beta for 2.x.
Please post apk over here if you will get it ;-)
Imagine DMCAing the app from APKMirror so users can't revert.
Also, lots of censorship about that fact too

I contacted support and the rep claimed that Samsung is not supporting Samsung Pay (for the gear) on Android Pie. Thankfully, you're able to install it by going to APK mirror and installing the latest version. From there you'll be prompted to update. Have not tried my cards but i was able to add them.
Edit: Cards work! Samsung pay does not show up in the Gear App. In order to open the app, open Samsung Pay on your watch, hit settings and the "Add a Card" option will open the app on your phone. Such an annoying work around, but hey it works.
"Inte tillgänglig i ditt land"? Jodå.
Spelet fungerar ungefär som Ingress. Det använder mobilens GPS och kamera för olika funktioner, du ser Pokémon utspridda omkring dig på kartan och kan se dem i AR för att fånga dem. Ingress-portaler motsvaras av Pokémon-gym.

Old APK's going back a year if anyone wants to go back to an older one. You'll most likely have to disable auto updates for it.
Really annoying that this got sold because it's been a really enjoyable and easy to use backup app for a couple years.
Edit: it's on APK mirror now, removed the drive link. https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/niantic-inc/pokemon-go/pokemon-go-0-115-2-release/pokemon-go-0-115-2-android-apk-download/
While it's being verified on APK mirror, I uploaded it to Google drive. If this is against the rules, please let me know and I'll remove it.
One of the most anticipated MD2 launches. Of course, APKMirror... will let us down. For now.
Edit: APKMirror -- just make sure you restart the app completely after installing (else you won't see the new design).

Just uncheck auto update in it's settings and in the play store. Problem solved. No IGTV, ~~Chronological order~~, messaging, and no new bloat/crap. You're welcome.
Side load it. You have to manually update it when updates release though.

Use activity launcher from the play store to launch it the first time, then there's a button to show it in the launcher. Or you can set a quicklink with activity launcher.
I'm uploading to APK Mirror now

It's the new Android app update they pushed out today.
I uninstalled and installed the older version and it worked fine.
Older version:
You'll need to have install from unknown sources enabled.
you can install an older version of the Google Phone app: Check out what works overhere: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-phone/
I have non-nexus version 7.0 on Nougat. Works fine. The 4.2 dialler worked without any bugs on 6.0
Just get an older version of the inbox app: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/inbox/
It works for me (if I set the clock forward I can still use it, unlike the current app) and it doesn't require anything complicated.
I make it work in my redmi note 4 (mido) following this guide to enable AR stickers on Gcam. My device is unofficially supported and to proceed with this guide you need to have your bootloader unlocked and a custom recovery. Of course if you want to proceed make a nandroid backup of your rom first.
1. Download and install the latest ARCore v1.4 (v1.5 not supported yet - don't install or update) from APK Mirror. (https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/arcore/arcore-1-4-18071609-release/)
2. For all phones, except the OP3, download and flash this ZIP (https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/ar/f/ARCore-AllDevices-TWRP-v1.1.zip). If using a OP3, download this ZIP (https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/ar/f/ARCore-AllDevices-TWRP-v1.1-Fix.zip)
Note: if you flashed the first ZIP and have error with ARCore you can try the second ZIP, if both fails your device is not compatible at all with this function.
You need to be in the beta tester group that I couldnt find to opt in for the Play Store beta so here's the APK https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/max-mp/poweramp/poweramp-beta-build-793-play-release/poweramp-music-player-beta-build-793-play-android-apk-download/

Check your emails for the invites, I think that's why is available for some and not other, you need to be whitelisted
I don't know who gave the go ahead to release this app update, it quite literally bricked mine. Thankfully Android is more open that Apple and we have the ability to roll back updates.
Here is a download for the 2.21 version of the reddit app. Works great for me.
I feel you on this. I really don't know why it's so bad. some I've seen have luck with downloading their local area maps on gmaps to make it faster. and I've seen others say older versions of the app work for them. here's a trusted site to download older verisons in case you need it: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/maps/
At least since September 20 with version 14.3.66
You are both linking to the "wrong" apk though. Our device supports arm64, so it should be recommended to also install the appropriate apk: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/pranav-pandey/pixel-wallpapers-2017-port/pixel-wallpapers-2017-port-8-0-0-pp-6-0-arm64-release/pixel-wallpapers-2017-port-8-0-0-pp-6-0-arm64-android-apk-download/
I downloaded this one about a month ago on my 3T.
Google Camera can do that. Just swipe left and click on Photosphere. I don't think it's available for non-Nexus/Pixel devices though.
Try APKMirror
If you download an old version of inbox it actually still works, no idea for how long though
This is the one I'm using, just disable auto updates
Pixel 2 here as well. I got you. Make sure it's the 400-480 dpi one, and close the app after installing.
Here's the comment I posted on the previous article from xda that was posted here which was removed because it's "rehosted".
The last good version: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/j2-interactive/mx-player/mx-player-1-9-24-release/
Download the universal variant if you are unsure if you have an arm or intel soc.
Note: This was released after they have been bought but it's the last update in which they didn't ruin anything.
Log (Note 7 is now supported):
APKmirror link:
if anyone gets confused, just download this variant
I uninstalled my Samsung+ and installed this one manually and it let me register,
No need to hunt.
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/plex-inc/
That's the only source that's trustworthy that I'm aware of.
Edit: don't forget to open up play store, go to the Plex app and turn off auto update for it.
Actually, 0.143.0 is forced, not the .1 version. If you can only update to .1 in your play store, go to https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/niantic-inc/pokemon-go/pokemon-go-0-143-0-release/pokemon-go-0-143-0-android-apk-download/ and download the .0
Just had the same issue, and seem to have found a working fix without factory reset. I was able to double tap the camera shortcut and get to home screen through gallery mode, so no device manager needed. Disabled lockscreen, removed all goodlock related apps and reinstalled the base app. The magic fix was installing this version of lockstar:
Hope this helps out some of you!
That is because it now uses the 'Blink' rendering engine instead of the Google Chrome Webview which is pre-installed on Android. Mozilla says it changed it for enhanced privacy and to add more features to the browser.
You can still download the older version on APKMirror though, here is a link of the latest Webview version: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/mozilla/firefox-focus-private-browser/firefox-focus-private-browser-6-1-1-release/firefox-focus-the-privacy-browser-6-1-1-android-apk-download/
ES explorer was also doing this lockscreen thing. Or may be they are still doing it. Uninstall both of them.
Share it did this with new update. (May be they will remove it in next update if users get very angry).
You can use Solid File explorer, Amaze File explorer instead of ES file explorer. If you can not give up ES file explorer, then install old apk of es file explorer. Version 3.2.5.5
Apk link from apkmirror. https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/es-global/es-file-explorer/es-file-explorer-3-2-5-5-release/es-file-explorer-3-2-5-5-android-apk-download/
Terrarium TV does not stream from torrents. It streams from streaming websites. You'll need to install it from APK Mirror.
Another good thing to know about is APK Mirror. It is a safe place to download apps from. Apps where either the updates are taking a while to roll out through the Play Store, to sideload apps not available in the Play Store and to get around geo-restrictions etc.
I installed Nova launcher Google companion app. (It's for getting swipe to left google now page for Nova launcher.) I am using v1.0 of this app.
After that my google now page has this Old look.
APKMirror link for those who don't have the update.
try the samsung plus beta app if it doesn't crash as usual or its not yet showing on some devices yet.
samsung is slower than a snail. https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/samsung-electronics-co-ltd-2/samsung/samsung-11-4-0-0-release/samsung-11-4-0-0-android-apk-download/
i promise no results after trying it.
Google slowly rolls out updates, in case something goes wrong.
This update will be through the camera app in the play store, and you should get it in the next day or 2.
If you don't want to wait you can download the apk off of apkmirror and install it.
Just installed this on my Pixel 2 XL. Love the design update and dark mode is beautiful.
Apk link for the XL folks: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/messenger-google-inc/messenger-google-inc-3-5-052-release/android-messages-3-5-052-zither_rc21_xxxhdpi-arm64-v8a-phone-android-apk-download/
Same here (stock Pixel XL with Oreo 8.1).
It happens since Chrome updated himself to v68.
I've tried to reboot. Nothing. I've tried to delete data and cache of Chrome. Nothing. I've tried to uninstall all the updates and update back. Nothing.
It's really pissing me off.
Edit: downgraded now to Chrome 67. All good, for now.
Chrome 68 roll-out has NOT been halted though (as somebody else said), as I see the update available in the Play Store.
To whoever wants to download Chrome 67: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/chrome/chrome-67-0-3396-87-release/ You have to uninstall Chrome 68 first, or the apk installation will fail. After you install the v67 APK, go to the Play Store and disable the auto-update in che Chrome listing.
Edit2: a new release of Chrome 68 has landed in the Play Store, dated August 7th (vs August 1st of the buggy one). I confirm that this one fixes the "Aw Snap" issue. You can safely re-enable Chrome's auto-update.
Noticed mine was running 11.3.02 (440-XXXX...) Here's a link to the 940 version I found https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-play-services/google-play-services-11-5-09-release/google-play-services-11-5-09-940-164803921-android-apk-download/
You can still install the old version from apkmirror (subsidy of Android Police, completely safe):
Yep. You'll need to sideload the Pebble app though, as it got removed from the Google Play Store on April 2. Sideload it here: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/pebble-technology-corp/pebble/
Next, you'll need to use an alternative service. I run RPWS, but there's also Rebble. They do mostly the same thing, with some traded features. You can choose whichever you'd like.
Glad to have you here!
Thanks, just pulled it off APK Mirror, appreciate the heads up.
Here is the link: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/photos/photos-4-13-0-240385459-release/google-photos-4-13-0-240385459-2-android-apk-download/
Apkmirror is a reliable place to get new and old apks. My girlfriend's Instagram app stopped accessing her phone's camera, so I got her an old apk for IG to roll back to and the problem was solved.
If you install OnePlus Launcher 2.5.1 you'll get the old Recents style. But you do lose the Pixel pill gestures. I would disable automatic updates for this app in the Play Store if you go this route.
Edit: Warning, this may reset your widget and icon placements.
To revert: Open Play Store, search OnePlus Launcher, click Uninstall. Or Settings->Apps->See All->OnePlus Launcher->Click 3 button overflow in top right-hand>Uninstall Updates. Or try to install 3.0 https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/oneplus-ltd/oneplus-launcher-2/oneplus-launcher-2-3-0-0-180913182412-e068540-release/oneplus-launcher-3-0-0-180913182412-e068540-android-apk-download/
We have the ability to roll back updates, you must first uninstall the current version of the app, then download the 2.21 apk below.
Here is a download for the 2.21 version of the reddit app. Works great for me.
Wow what a coincidence! I was having the same problem just a few hours ago on my Tab4 8 Plus. The latest update of the Google app gave me issues and I read they could possibly be fixed by uninstalling the updates, thus reverting to the factory installed version, and letting it update from the Play store to the latest version again.
Turned out that it didn't fix the problem in the end and I was getting the same 403 error trying to update the Google app. But worry not - I have an easy fix for you 😃. Just download the second latest version from apkmirror, install it and then the Play store will update to the latest version with no problem. You could also just install the latest version from apkmirror instead but this way you can verify that updating works. The downloads from apkmirror are also completely safe in case you're not familiar with the site, it gets referenced in the main Android sub a lot.
Here's the link to the app - you need to download the arm64 version: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-search/google-search-7-8-21-release/
I use the Samsung Mail app for my work email with Exchange. Unless there's drastic changes to the Gmail app I might end up using the Samsung app for my Google email.
How do I do that?
Edit: The apkmirror uploader isn't working from my phone. I'm going to try on my desktop now.
Edit 2: Alright, I guess it's uploaded? There wasn't a confirmation screen, but I've done all I can. I think the uploader is just a bit counter-intuitive.
Edit 3: here's the link!
It shouldn't. https://www.apkmirror.com/faq/
> We make sure that the cryptographic signatures for new versions of all previously published apps match the original ones, which means we know if uploaded APKs were signed by the real devs or someone pretending to be them.
You need to be sure you have the updated APK.
How to get splash screen dark:
Now the splash screen is linked to android system so enabling dark theme in yt app won't change the app's splash screen (it will remain white). To trigger system's wide without adb you need to follow these steps: 1. Download Google message 4.0 (newer versions wont work it got seperated dark mode) from the link
Adb method: 1. Open cmd/power shell 2. type: adb shell settings put secure ui_night_mode 2 3. Reboot

A shady chinese ad company cheetah mobile (CM) bought quickpic. That company is known to make crap apps with excessive permissions. Quickpic didn't turn into something like ES file manager. But still users are concerned.
I will also not recommend you to use new versions of quickpic. Look for alternatives. Try, Simple Gallery, Camera Roll, F-stop, Foto Gallery.
If you can't live without quickpic, install version that was launched before CM bought quickpic. I will recommen v4.3. And then don't update the app. Some users reported that old version of quickpic is not working that good on new android versions. In that case use other alternative apps that I mentioned.
APKMirror is a trusted source. They only upload apps with their original signatures and you can trust that they haven't been tampered with. I am not sure how far back you want to go, but they should have a long list of youtube versions as they upload new versions any time they are released. I am not sure if reverting to an older apk will change the quantity of ads. That might be a server-side change, but I suppose it is worth a try.
Best of luck I had so far was:
It allowed me at least to download the game and login. No battles though -instant crashes when entering.
If you're on Android, download this. It's a special version of YouTube that blocks ads and there's a setting to disable the casting thing
Why wait? Just use the verified APK Mirror link and update immediately.
https://www.apkmirror.com/faq/
Basically, yeah that version would work and be slightly smaller. If you know your DPI for sure then you can save a tiny bit of storage space (in this case less than 1 MB) by using the DPI-specific version. But nodpi will work on anything and is what I usually use since I haven't bothered to remember my DPI
You can get the linux-on-dex apk from apkmirror.
Here is an apkmirror link, which is less sketchy than if I just uploaded an apk, lol
Just got a Note 8 like an hour ago and signed into Spotify. It's doing the same exact thing. Thought it was the phone.
I do not care for the UI.
EDIT: Installing the Spotify Beta APK fixed it for me, and reverted the layout.

The the play store on the Shield is the full Android TV Google Play Store. The only reason you don't see "all" the apps you're used to seeing is the fact that the developers have to list their app's compatibility with ATV. There's usually a good reason (at least to the developer) for the app not to be listed that way if it's not already showing up.
You can often sideload the app (if it's free) from someplace like APKMirror. If it runs, it runs. If not, oh well....
If you rooted the Shield and and edited the build.prop file to say you were not a Shield TV (running ATV), you could theoretically see the whole GPS for the version of Android you're running, but that's not for the "faint of heart".
You could install an older version of Android Auto by manually installing the APK.
I would recommend getting the APK from APKMirror if you decide to do so.
Do yourself a favor and install this version of ES, none of that bullshit from the developer change.
Apk: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/messenger-google-inc/messenger-google-inc-3-5-048-release/.
But it seems to be a server-side rollout.

APKMirror goes back to v3.6.16, released August 7, 2015.
You should be aware versions older than this are unlikely to even work anymore. There have been numerous changes to the reddit API since then, and you definitely won't be able to log into it because OAuth is now required and the old version did not support it.
And here's the beta link
> No app in the history of apps is worth $25.
I wouldn't say none, but I agree this wouldn't be it. At the same time, it is a one-time purchase... if the devs are planning on supporting it for a very long time, I can see their side of it as well.
> This particular app has a history of going long periods of time without updates, leading one to believe it may be abandoned someday.
Don't see how this makes the devs seem shady. And it's just speculation anyway, who knows when it'll be abandoned. Plus I'm not sure what you mean, taking a look at the APK history, looks like the app is updated pretty frequently.
> Also there were reports of massive privacy leaks regarding emails with this app.
Any links on this? I can't find anything, and am genuinely curious. I was pretty pissed about the app being sold to MobiSystems, but I've been tracking Aquamail's privacy policy since the sale, and it looks like nothing major has changed -- especially no taking my data.
I've been looking for a reason to switch from Aquamail, but the app is great and MobiSystems hasn't done anything overly dumb yet.
