Hi all,
For those who don't know, i've made an app that guides your experience in ACNH with the visual style of the Nookphone as seen ingame.
I hope you all enjoy the app!
Take care!
You can download the app here:
IOS: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/nookphone-companion/id1529935567
Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gapps.nookphone
People can now update to this version 1.3.0 from appstore / playstore
appstore: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/id1504317399
playstore: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dev.genesy.animalcrossingnhguide
Next features are items/guides (flower/mystery island etc)
Also planning on adding a login functionality after items so that people can sync their data (and possibly live view them on the browser, idk yet)
Just know I have a lot of ideas that are waiting to be implemented. And also your suggestions are listed too.
I read all your messages, even negative ones. feedback appreciated
Yeah the ones they send with the shells are crap. I used this phillips head screwdriver and this set which included the triwing screwdriver I needed as well as a couple other useful tools like tweezers and a pry bar. Originally I tried using the screwdrivers that came with the shell but ended up stripping one of the phillips head screws on my console. Luckily the guy at my local electronics shop got it out for me in under 10 minutes and only charged me $5. He actually told me when he does shell swaps he prefers to use 000 size phillips and triwing screwdrivers instead of 00 sized ones (the size the screws actually are) because they're prone to stripping. At that point though I had already ordered the other ones and thankfully didn't have any issues with them.
They're scanned using photogrammetry and chances are most of the assets are from this group: https://quixel.com/
If you're at all interested in 3D there's not a better time for it, blender and Megascans are free.
I use this. You can save villagers who are in your town, and track what items you have in your catalog, as well as fish, bugs, and fossils.

Also, I don't know if you'll be able to change the exterior of your house if the expansion loan isn't paid off.

It looks like you're playing on an emulator - assuming you're actually playing it - there's a translation patch here! But I can't say how well it works and if it will work on the emulator, but I assume it's for emulators. :P
If you don't fancy that, there's a walkthrough that translates the game for you, that's here!
If you're not playing it, I'd recommend typing it out yourself (finding the appropriate Japanese characters), and translating it through Google. :)
They have also said that it is going to have some sort of interaction with 'dedicated gaming systems', is a 'pure-game app', and 'free-to-start'.
The pessimist in me thinks it's something that will interact with the 3DS (I'd prefer something that will interact with the Switch). The optimist hopes it will interact with both. The realist in me assures that it won't interact with Amiibo Festival, since that is on Wii U and they're not going to have much buy-in for that.
If you're not already using it, Jake Ruston's Animal Crossing Guide app is fairly comprehensive: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrustonapps.newleaf
At the very least it has explanations for what the art fakes look like.
I have almost the same layout as you, but flipped! Here is a pic. I tried to keep all my neighbors near the bottom, but I forgot one day, and Bubbles happened. ): My only real advice is try to build another bridge soon, just that one will be a pain.
And here's the beta link
Sure! It's ACNH.Guide, here's the link for the Android app store! I learned about it on this sub I think, and they have a really nice Discord imo :)
Yes, you might be getting close. Talk to him a lot, do his favors, change his catchphrase/greeting. I love Carmen. She was a starter, but I didn't get her picture for a couple of months into gameplay. She did give me more pictures after that. I found this guide as well:
The clock being the exact same as New Leaf, the clock from Wild World was vastly different from City Folk. They would no doubt re-design it for a Switch release.
It’s a quote from The Guide to Troubled Birds! You’ve probably seen some of these before, posted as memes or reaction images. It’s also a book!
You can get the exact same one on Amazon! :)
Nothing I found in game someone also made a nice app that has the bio for people aswell Android https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dev.genesy.animalcrossingnhguide
Don't know if there is an apple one
If you have an Android phone, this app has been wonderful in keeping track of events and collections. Got a notification in the morning about the tourney.
This is a Garry Kasparov game, and Kasparov did lose to Deep Blue, as you explained. But unless there are two different board layouts in NH, this is a position from a game Kasparov won against Veselin Topalov (a human 😉). The game is called “Kasparov’s Immortal.”
The reddit thread where I learned about this
One of many analyses of the game
Don’t feel bad or anything! I only know this because of the other thread that pointed it out! I’m only just starting to learn chess myself, and I mostly know Kasparov from his pro-democracy and human rights activism rather than his chess career.
You can order it from Japanese Amazon and get it sent to the USA or wherever you are. Here is the product page.
oh. It's called ACNH Guide. forgot to post links
ios https://apps.apple.com/us/app/id1504317399
android https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dev.genesy.animalcrossingnhguide
this feature specifically will be out tomorroow. still testing some things :)
I use one that makes electric pulses, but theres a learning curve to it (HERE); a prettier black/white set can be found too (HERE). It's a little pricier than most capacitative styli you can find, but its not outrageous given you can't use something with bluetooth on a switch (i think) as a heads up. Because the switch is capacitative like smartphones and tablets, it will also work on smartphones and tablets. I'd do the round squishy tip but it feels like I'm drawing with a blunted crayon (the one that is totally void of a pointy tip and is just a stub) and I cant get my lines in the right spot
Hi all,
For those who don't know, i've made an app that guides your experience in ACNH with the visual style of the Nookphone as seen ingame.I recently updated the app and added the following features:
- You can now see a list of achievements along with the requirements on how to complete them. You can also log these achievements to know how many achievements you collected.- You can change the preferred language in the new settings button, along with some other handy components.
I hope you all enjoy the app and the recent update!
Take care!
You can download the app here:
IOS: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/nookphone-companion/id1529935567
Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gapps.nookphone
If you have an Android, I use this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrustonapps.newleaf its great. Notifies you of in game events, birthdays ers. And tells you where and what time of year and day bugs and fish can be found, among other things
Yes! I love that app. It's super useful for finding villager's favorite coffee as well.
Links for those interested:

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/animal-crossing-new-leaf-guide/id659879106
I found on gamefaq that someone said there's few ways to tell if you have a high friend ship.
Signs of high friendship:
The villager will ask to come over to your house (impromptu).
Villager will give you a photo as a gift in response to certain events. (not sure if this is directly related, but it mentions giving medicine when they're sick, collecting signatures?, giving perfect fruit, custom furniture, rare fish such as Coelacanth). There have been reports of receiving more than one photograph from the same villager.
When you are very good friends with a villager, they have a high chance to give you a photograph when they move away, but apparently it is not guaranteed.
How to test friendship:
If a villager is sitting on a bench that seats two people, go sit beside them. If you don't look at each other, you're at the default level. If you look at each other, you have decent friendship. If you have high friendship, you'll both have a pleasant look after looking at each other.
Use the microphone to call out a villager that is just barely visible on the screen. Default/decent levels should have them looking around. If you have high friendship, they'll turn toward you and wave. warning - using the microphone too close to them can upset them and lower friendship
The link: http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/997811-animal-crossing-new-leaf/66547726
I've tried the microphone trick awhile back and noticed that some villagers turned and waved to me while others I wasn't close to just looked around.
Also as stitchmaker said, you'll only get 1 chocolate heart. At least I did last year from one of my favorite Villager's Static. When I tted (I was moving villagers out) and went back to Valentine's Day, he gave me another Chocolate Heart but no one else gave me anything except my mom and a few letters from other villagers.
There is always the green series. You can customize it to light, dark or grass green. And the bedspread, tablecloth, lampshade and chair pillow can be changed to a custom pattern. On this site you can find a Slytherin crest that someone has uploaded that you could use.
Do you mean for the screenshot? I uploaded it to Miiverse and then ran it through waifu2x. It's a neural network thingy for anime-type images. Scary how far image-making technology has come!
You can use your phone to do the same.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rdapps.gamepad
This app connects to the switch with Bluetooth and can be used as a switch controller, and it has some macros. One for spamming the A button over and over like the turbo function on your controller.
Haha sorry, probably not. I don't mind taking a few pictures, but shoving the book into a scanner that many times would ruin my book. :P It isn't that expensive on Japanese Amazon if you want your own copy. Since they put so much effort into making it, I would much rather they get the profit for it. Here is the page for it. :)
I found it at HomeGoods! I've definitely seen people post it on Tumblr before that though so I was really surprised to come across it. If you have Amazon though you can get them there too! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M3QCTJQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_INP1zb7DH0FY6
Apologies if something has been posted like this before - I couldn't find anything similar, and thought it might be useful to someone.
This only works on some Android phones, but the setup is super simple. Just install Joycon Droid as well as Auto Clicker.
Connect your phone to your switch as a right Joycon following the instructions in Joycon Droid, then set up the auto clicker over the A button. Just press the play button whenever you're ready. Super easy, set it and forget it!
I'm no expert in any of this, but if you have questions I'd be happy to try and help.
Unfortunately, for getting rid of a villager quickly TTing is really your only option. We still don't know what algorithm exactly the game uses to determine who decides to move out next, but it appears to be almost completely random. Some people swear by greeting a villager for the first time, then ignoring them completely for a week or so, but in my experience that has never worked.
If you're absolutely against TTing, what I would recommend is befriending Antonio as quickly as possible; in my experience (and I've done a lot of TT villager cycling, so I've seen dozens of move out attempts), the villagers I'm most friendly with are the ones asking to leave more often than not. But again, this is only my personal experience, so take it with a grain of salt. And if you're willing to consider TTing, this is the tutorial I used. It's actually quite easy to do!
Good luck! Sorry this happened to you. :(
This guide here gives a really good look on the whole "perfect town" status and should be able to help you out :3
The whole idea is to keep your town even. If you build another PWP, you have to keep it balanced with the number of trees/flowers you have. I think for every PWP you have to have 10 trees, or around that much.
Here is a link to google drive that I have, it's the Offical Prima Strategy Guide that you can download in PDF form if you would like :)
Sure thing! It's ACNH.Guide, here's the link for the Android app store! I learned about it on this sub I think, and they have a really nice Discord imo :)
$10 at Best Buy right now. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/nintendo-nfc-reader-writer-for-nintendo-3ds-multi/4288800.p?id=1219740801809&skuId=4288800
Oh and Amazon too but it's Prime members only: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01307Q6ZC
It will come out in a new box style with the Nintendo Selects on the artwork. Some stores are already selling the new "version" (only change is the box art) as a pre-order.
Amazon has it for $19.99 and if you are a Prime member, it's $15.99.
Best Buy also has it for $19.99 and if you are a Gamers Club Unlocked member, it's $15.99.
The old box style will likely be sold for awhile at its current price but should eventually drop and may even go on clearance dropping below the $19.99 price at some stores.
There's one called "Guide for Animal Crossing NL", I use it myself :)
It's available for both ios and android.
* Android link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrustonapps.newleaf&hl=de
This one. You should be able to just search for it in the Play Store on your phone if you have an android :) The Able Sisters must be ready to kill me. Almost every night I stay in there until 11pm in game(More like 3-4am irl). I realize they close at 9pm. ^Actually ^that ^reminded ^me ^to ^include ^a ^picture ^of ^me ^leaving ^a ^very ^closed ^Able ^Sisters ^>:D
Thonky guide has a pretty good description on how to spot the fakes. I also use an Android App Guide when I'm away from the computer. The app is also pretty good for logging what you have already encountered and is an easy way to keep from repurchasing something.
I'd recommend using this method instead.
I like to keep a full basket of bugs around each day in case a lazy villager comes along. Works just fine for crowns, too.
According to this gamefaqs thread, the town is 20 acres, five across and four down, with each acre being 16 x 16 spaces. So that would mean the town is 80 spaces across and 64 spaces down, unless my maths has gone awry somewhere...
The beetles you catch after dark on the island are worth approx. 8,000 bells each. here's a good quick guide on prices and the best way to set up your island for it. http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/997811-animal-crossing-new-leaf/66685670
I'm looking at Animal Guide for ACNH right now and what I'm seeing in that app, is that those are the only two new Celeste DIYs listed.
LDD is no longer supported but is still available for download. There's also Studio 2 made by the Bricklink community which is like an upgraded version of LDD.
Is anyone on Android wants to replicate this in about two seconds you can download this launcher completely turns your phone into a nook phone. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=supply.alex.nookphone
You don't need it right away but Animal Guide for ACNH is the app I use. It's got pretty much everything in there. It's great for reference and tracking things you've collected.
Powersaving only works with the cartridge version for now. What i do is i get the powersave accesory off amazon and i download the software of their website and you can see the compatible games (acnl is one) and then i just put the cartridge in and back it up to my computer every now and then so if anything happens to my town i can load the powersave or do it so i can get a villager that that moved out back and also you can edit your file to get things like furniture, clothes, hybrid plants, golden tools, unlimeted bells, etc. and if you want to you can back up your game and then reset your town to have 2 towns on one cartridge (which is cool) and do a number of things. it is great because i never have to worry about losing my town so yeah
Amazon Japan may possibly ship to you.
Henry isn't really a super popular character with Animal Crossing when it comes to merchandise. The only thing that has been officially produced of him in recent years has been his amiibo card which you can pick up on Amazon for about $8.
Everything else for Henry will be fanmade on sites like Etsy so that will be your best place to look. A lot of artists there accept commissions so even if they may not have anything for Henry in their shop, they may be open to making something for you. Keep in mind, however, they are pretty much all handmade items so depending on what you are looking for, it may not come cheap because artists need to make a living too!
Good luck, OP!
I like it! :) It reminds of some prickly pear cactus candy I had seen on Amazon before.
Where did he get them and if he got them at Amazon, Christ praise that man cause I may have found it and Its 230somethin dollars
Did you know that you can use your Android phone to connect to the Switch? There's an app on Google Play that emulates joycon, I think you can even make macros (like pressing one button repeatedly)
JoyCon Droid (Public Alpha) (didn't test it myself.. yet)
The app was already incredible, and let you track which bugs/fish/fossils you had, and which ones you still needed. It also has a daily tracker for things like money tree, diy message in bottle, rocks, and fossil boxes that you check off as you collect them each day. You can also see which fish are available to catch at the time you are playing, as well as check off which villagers you have spoken to.
Well whoever made it just updated it, and now there is a tracker for every item and recipe in the game. You can keep track of which ones you have, which ones you catalogued, and which ones you are missing. This includes clothing, furniture, floors, fences, tools, etc, etc, etc... Everything that I’d in game.
And it’s FREE. I would have paid $10 for it, easily, but it’s free. In the Apple AppStore App, just search for “ACNH Guide”, and it’s the first result that comes up. Here’s a photo of what it looks like.
And I just looked, and found out that it’s available for Android as well.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dev.genesy.animalcrossingnhguide&hl=en_US
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this app for anyone who plays ACNH.
Hey peeps,
Over the last few weeks I've worked on a New Horizons companion app for Android. I've seen multiple other apps pop up left and right, but they just didn't quite work for me.
With this one we're focusing on usability. We'll hope it'll be used and loved by many.
We're currently working on getting your lovely villagers and their information in the app. And much more to follow. If you have any tips, questions, or ideas. Feel free to let me know!
You can get it on the Google Play Store over here.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dev.genesy.animalcrossingnhguide
This one fairly basic but it gets the job done. I've seen the dev post on this sub and he said he's working on fixing bugs and adding features.
Hi everyone! When ACNH came out I lurked here a ton, and it inspired me to begin working on this app two weeks ago. Last Friday I submitted it to the Play store and it got approved this morning. Right now, you can track the bugs and fish you catch and configure your island hemisphere/date settings. Mods, feel free to remove this if it feels too heavy on self-promotion.
I am looking to add a lot more to the app (I regret calling it a "Bug & Fish guide" in the Play store, I will change that soon). I really appreciate any feedback people have. It would be great to leave it here, and also there's a form on the settings page of the app to give feedback (or you can use this link). I'll prioritize features based on the feedback I get.
Full disclosure: this app is free and I will never put ads on it. Depending on its reception and features I eventually add, I may add an in-app purchase or 'pro' version of the app.
The nice thing about the tech stack I'm using is that I can update the app over-the-air, which means no more waiting up to a week for Play store approval (for most updates). This also means that the app can do more than the Play store listing describes, as I have pushed updates since my last submission to the store.
Thanks for reading this and for any feedback you have!

More features to come. Items/recipes/etc will come soon! With the latest update i should be able to fix the data without needing an update so if you guys find any wrong information the fix should be ready in a few hours instead of days
Planned features: (in random order)
I've learned a lot about app development because of this app. And this has been keeping my mind busy for the past week which has been making me feel better over all. Thank you everyone for the support. I'll continue to keep working on it everyday!
Thank you reddit!
This is the one I’m talking about. iOS Only.
With one small purchase of some blank nfc cards you can make your own amiibos.

You should have 4.2GB available to you on that devices internal storage. Might be downloads, a strange large cache files (check settings storage tap internal storage then tap and clear cache if very large) you might want to try a disk usages app like one below see what's using your storage space.

here's one for Android! THere was also this thing called The Melody Maker, but after manually searching for the site, all I clicked on was scam :(
I am unsure about 1, but I can speak for 2 and 3.
You can indeed refurbish the same piece of furniture. If you choose to do this, it is recommended to refurbish one of the cheaper items, such as the cardboard box. I used this site to find which items i could refurbish.
Cataloging is taking everything into account. This includes all furniture items, clothes, stationary, music, fossils, etc. Everything that you have cataloged can be viewed in the Nookling's shop catalog. IIRC, the gold badge requires you to have 80% of the catalog complete. Keeping track of how many more items you need may be difficult, however there are some lists and apps out there for you to use. I used this one. It was available on my phone and it is simple to use. You can check off what you do have and calculate the total percent of what you completed. The folks at /r/ACTrade can also help you catalog some items.
You can use this android app to change the creator data on patterns so you can use them around your town.
Best thing for a single one would be to just keep it next to the special/hybrid reds. Water them all and use fertilizer; you should have another one in no time.
This was extremely helpful for me. Remove any reds not produced by the orange-purple roses, since they won't actually help you.
I found that keeping them on my small beach was best just because the villagers never go there and so can't throw down random red roses and confuse me. Flowers in general seem to grow best in grass (versus beach or dirt patches), but it was too hard to keep track of which reds were really hybrids and which were not so I ended up moving them.
I believe you create extra characters. Each extra character can hold another 10 patterns for pavement.
http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/997811-animal-crossing-new-leaf/64808866
Each character can hold more designs in able, but I believe pavement is required to be stored on the character itself.
It's a method of duplicating items through a glitch, when in someone else's town. Here's a guide for it, if you're interested in more information.
Thank you so much for your answer. So to double-check, there's no way I could do something like this without being nearby?
I made it myself actually! I made a bunch for friends for Christmas and had a few left over. They're very easy to make and you just add black food coloring. I recommend icing color which you should be able to pickup at your local Walmart/Target/Michaels or Amazon

FYI: the ISE (pokeball logo) was made by u/draggingalake he runs the Its Super Effective podcast (& r/supereffective)
That and the Nintendo Switch, Twitch, Chick-fil-a, and coca-Cola logos are owned by their respective rights holders.
The wiki says it's available 4am-9am and 4pm-9pm March to June and 4am-9pm September to November, so i think you've missed your chance unless you're open to TT-ing.
I also found this gamefaqs discussion about catching a char, which might be helpful for you.
Also detailed here in Liquefy's F.A.Q.. Just run a page search for "prevents tanning" and it'll take you right to the full list of hats he gives...
I just googled it; looks like you need another 3DS to load the game in so that there is no previous save file. Talk to Isabelle, select "other things" and she will tell you when to turn on the other game. Then, on the other game, there should be an option to move in.
But, the character you are moving can't be mayor, sadly.
http://www.ign.com/wikis/animal-crossing-new-leaf/How_to_Move_to_Another_Town
Hmm, well you got me curious and it's actually only about $25 USD shipped now. But just a week or so ago, they only had 3rd party sellers selling them on Amazon and none were under $30. They must have made more of them.
An example of what I was talking about is here: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Sheik-Amiibo-Wii-U/41488608
> The standard plural in English of octopus is octopuses. However, the word octopus comes from Greek and the Greek plural form octopodes is still occasionally used. The plural form octopi, formed according to rules for some Latin plurals, is incorrect.
source The more you know..
Ideas: Bamboo grove (contains items from the bamboo series, bamboo trees, and a heart shaped lake), flower garden (can contain flowers, stall, signs, and watering cans) , pumpkin patch, and waterfall enterance.

Tips: For paths and cliffs, to make it round at the edges, simply terraform the edge again and it will be curved.

Here are some images of other people's terraformed islands!
Discord is an application that runs on a computer or a phone, there are text and also voice chat channels in each 'discord', and there's no limit to how many you can join with an account.
If that doesn't explain it, check out their website! https://discord.com/
I found Liquefy's FAQ to be pretty good in terms of the lists of items. Exotic is the only harmonious set you have out of the ones you listed.
HHA theme scores are based on the percentage of theme items you have in each room, and the number of theme pieces you have on the exterior of your house.
Golden roof is Antique/Toy Shop not Fairy Tale, so if you switched, that would be one issue.
According to your list, your rooms have a mix of Fairy Tale and other items. What you want is 90% of the stuff in a room to match the theme. You need to reorganize, and put away the non theme stuff. I found Liquefy's FAQ the most helpful for checking if my furniture matched the theme.
Fake paintings also give negative points.
This album shows my house set up for the Fairy Tale theme.
It's limited but with Pixlr you can take square designs and reduce them in size to 32x32 to get the proper pixel by pixel proportions.. I don't know as much about the program's use for color control or other features though.

The original location of all this information was on a Google Doc. Super helpful, but not very appealing to look at. The original website had an annoying scroll bar that would slow viewers down. I thought this info deserved the best presentation possible, so I threw together a Notion website. All credit goes to Paleh and Aeter. If anybody wants this website changed or taken down, if it is missing critical updates, or someone more savvy with Notion wants to take over it, DM me at u/DrDrub on reddit. Happy breeding!
Hi there! You requested for me to let you know when I had made some hand-embroidered ds xl covers available for sale. Well, I've made 6 of them! (Julian, Stitches, Marshal, Coco, Flurry, and Tangy). I have them on sale for $20 on my etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/shop/Keilantra?section_id=11388736

Hey everyone! My name is Ross and I'm a modern day cartographer (yes, the occupation still exists). Nowadays, there's a lot of digital stuff to do. I love making fantasy maps (if you dig through my post history, you'll find some). But I started working on an interactive map of my island, Krunkel! I take a screenshot of my map into GIS software, specifically QGIS and trace all the features. Then I upload it to Mapbox where I can turn it into a web map and add some depth to everything. I'll definitely be adding more to the map in the future! I'll publish it to a public URL as well so anyone can pull it up and check it out in a web browser.
The series 1-4 are random in each pack. There are 100 different cards in each series, and 6 cards in each pack. I believe you get 1 NPC and 5 villagers in a pack, but which ones you get is totally random. If you want to see which NPCs and villagers are in each series, you can check https://animal-crossing.com/amiibo/collections/series-1-4-amiibo-cards/#
I know that each series pack 1-4 has different amiibos based on that pack on the animal crossing website via Nintendo animal crossing Nintendo website
You can find all the information from it about each amiibo from each series hope this is what you are looking for.
Well as said the villagers are in RV's. The packs also specify Welcome Amiibo on them.
Edit: Goofed, below is for amiibo only, not E-readers.

Let’s you see all cards and figures and catalog which ones you do or don’t have.
Also, there’s a site called TheBellTree forums that has a bunch of active trading, including for amiibo cards, that might be worth checking out.
Theres amiibo cards you can use to have your favorite villager move in. They're getting expensive and selling out quick. I bought mine on ebay.
These are all the cards that can be used along with amiibo figures

Are you using Hugin? I know they have an auto-detect for cylindrical projection but I've only ever used it for DSLR panoramas not for screenshots. Wonder if it would work.
Edit: Hugin cylindrical projection link Not sure if this is helpful.
Well, here's the word document:

You can do what you like with it. I'm not sure how to make it in to an image, I will research how to tomorrow when I have time.
