I use this. You can save villagers who are in your town, and track what items you have in your catalog, as well as fish, bugs, and fossils.

If you're not already using it, Jake Ruston's Animal Crossing Guide app is fairly comprehensive: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrustonapps.newleaf
At the very least it has explanations for what the art fakes look like.
If you have an Android phone, this app has been wonderful in keeping track of events and collections. Got a notification in the morning about the tourney.
If you have an Android, I use this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrustonapps.newleaf its great. Notifies you of in game events, birthdays ers. And tells you where and what time of year and day bugs and fish can be found, among other things
Yes! I love that app. It's super useful for finding villager's favorite coffee as well.

This one. You should be able to just search for it in the Play Store on your phone if you have an android :) The Able Sisters must be ready to kill me. Almost every night I stay in there until 11pm in game(More like 3-4am irl). I realize they close at 9pm. ^Actually ^that ^reminded ^me ^to ^include ^a ^picture ^of ^me ^leaving ^a ^very ^closed ^Able ^Sisters ^>:D
Thonky guide has a pretty good description on how to spot the fakes. I also use an Android App Guide when I'm away from the computer. The app is also pretty good for logging what you have already encountered and is an easy way to keep from repurchasing something.
I am unsure about 1, but I can speak for 2 and 3.
You can indeed refurbish the same piece of furniture. If you choose to do this, it is recommended to refurbish one of the cheaper items, such as the cardboard box. I used this site to find which items i could refurbish.
Cataloging is taking everything into account. This includes all furniture items, clothes, stationary, music, fossils, etc. Everything that you have cataloged can be viewed in the Nookling's shop catalog. IIRC, the gold badge requires you to have 80% of the catalog complete. Keeping track of how many more items you need may be difficult, however there are some lists and apps out there for you to use. I used this one. It was available on my phone and it is simple to use. You can check off what you do have and calculate the total percent of what you completed. The folks at /r/ACTrade can also help you catalog some items.
Ivuse this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrustonapps.newleaf to catalogue my items, an easy way to fill it up is to just go through your catalogue and to mark everything in it as found in the app. Really helpful to avoid duplicates.
Not a problem! One tool I like to use is the app Guide for Animal Crossing: New Leaf its available for Apple and Android devices.
I like it because it lets you input your bugs, art, fossils, and fish so you know what you still haven't caught in that season. It also lets you input your villagers and tells you when the next birthday or event (like the fishing tourney's or the harvest festival) at a glance. It really helps me keep track of what I have and don't have.
There's two like that:
I overall want to see a guide app for New Horizons. I may make one, but like all the fish, facilities, and stuff like that. Like this one New Leaf had
This one is great, still occasionally updated. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrustonapps.newleaf
Just want to let others know that the same app exists on Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrustonapps.newleaf
It has an Android version, available here. I've been using it for the past six months, it's super useful!
There’s an app called ACNL Guide which has literally anything you can imagine, including fish and the seasons they’re caught in. It even lets you add in what you’ve caught and tells you what other fish are needed in November (as well as bugs and diving creatures). 100% recommend.
Here’s the IOS app and this is the Android one, I use it on IOS but it looks like the reviews for Android are great as well. This is what it looks like.
Very cute and awesome! I use this app instead.

I use a guide app to keep everything in check. Wish I knew it about it much earlier!
I think I found the same app for android! I'll check it out :)
Any good apps for keeping track of what you've donated to the museum? I used ACNL Guide for new leaf
This one is great
