Metal keychain stamped with the coordinates of where we first met.
Etsy, $13. Holla.
Edit: Link here
If anyone was wondering, this is available from emilymcdowelldraws on Etsy, along with other similar cards.
I got mine from Epic Costumes on Etsy a few days ago. Here's a picture of me wearing it. It's extremely well-made.
Also, in case anyone's wondering, the burger is a purse.
I wouldn't normally do this and I've already posted on r/indiemakeupandmore, but when I saw this post about the eye palettes for Tangled, I knew I had to speak up :)
Tangled is one of my favourite movies (and I pretty much have every line memorized) and I started a little Etsy shop selling tinted lip balms and eyeshadows. I knew for my first eyeshadow collection it had to be something spectacular so I decided to do one based off of Tangled! :D :D :D :D :D and yes, there's an eyeshadow named 'The Smolder'
Take a look! I've already posted this on /r/indiemakeupandmore but if you use the code Reddit20 you can get 20% off your purchase until February 1st.
PS: mods if this isn't allowed let me know and I'll remove it.
EDIT: 8:07PM EST. WOW!!! I just got inundated with orders. Thanks everyone sooo much for their support! Unfortunately I am now running low on supplies since I didn't think this would take off so quickly so I need to order more. Shipping is usually pretty fast so I should get more soon but my current turnaround time as of now will be one week from now until I can get more in! So sorry!!!!!
That's not a baneling. That's Mr. Doomsfield.
Here's a bigger picture of Mr. Doomsfield with his top hat: Link
You might ask yourselves why is he named Mr. Doomsfield. The reason is because this way he's not fan art and he's not in danger of being removed because of copyright/trademark issues.
If you'd like to see if the guy will make you your very own Mr. Doomsfield, check out his work at his Etsy.com profile: https://www.etsy.com/people/BoRoShan
Resubmitted due to original being caught in the spam filter.
Posters are from the Etsy shop of the very talented Ron Guyatt found here for anyone interested in seeing more.
He has a lot of awesome designs!
Before anyone asks I got it from SweetGraffix on etsy
Do it! It's not that hard -- this pattern is all regular full cross stitches and some backstitch -- it just takes 20+ hours to stitch. The original pattern is at granniepanties' shop on Etsy, here.
If you want me to send you all the materials you need to get started, I have a very popular kit in my shop as a collaboration with granniepanties (who sells only awesome patterns). It's also available in the redditgifts shop.
I want to give a shout out to colored gemstones here! Rainbow sapphires, tanzanite, emeralds, citrine, etc are all stunning (IMHO!)
Costco's gemstone jewelry is very reasonably priced for the money and this Etsy jeweler has really unique engagement rings that won't break the bank (too much!)
Disclaimer: I bought mine from him and the wedding band from Costco. Very happy with both. I know we all have different preferences and whatnot but gemstone jewelry just makes me so happy!
The limited quantity/slow production is more due to how slowly I work and these clumsy hands of mine ha ha. Also I work retail part time, though now the holidays are over I'll probably have more time on my hands. If I could do this full time… man. A girl can dream.
If you like you can check out my etsy store https://www.etsy.com/shop/HalcyonClays/
Hello everyone! I posted both my Frozen and Tangled inspired collections on here and wanted to share with you my Tea Party collection :) It's filled with more neutral tones than the Frozen collection but has more colour variety than the Tangled collection :D Let me know what you all think!
Oh ps: You can take 15% off your entire order (not limited to The Tea Party Collection) with the code TEAPARTY15

Every year our city has an anime convention. Last year my friend and I developed a Pokemon league with gym leaders, rules, and badges! This year we are going bigger and better. Badges are made in a 3D printer by our sponsor Chinook Crafts (they also do other regions badges). They have an Etsy shop here:

Since a lot of people asked I have recently started a little shop on etsy so I can sell these guys if you wanted to check it out. There isn't much there but I am working on making more if there's interest and I got another design brewing that I'm super excited about!
https://www.etsy.com/shop/HalcyonClays/
I'm really touched by all the positivity in this thread! Thank you guys, you made my morning. :')
*also I'm super open to feedback since this is my first time making/selling pipes and, well, anything. If you guys have any thoughts or advice please feel free.
*Wowsers, someone bought it! Thank you! Here's a direct link to the wing (I don't have anymore ready but I am working on making more) https://www.etsy.com/transaction/173954315?
It is a dollhouse miniature of a fireplace screen.
Hi everyone, im back with another release for one of my favorite (and apparently yours as well) military MOC's!
here are some details on the model itself:
You can purchase either the complete unassembled model consisting of brand new authentic Lego bricks, or download the instructions for Lego Digital Designer at my Etsy shop via the following link:
Ok so they aren't completely accurate but I still thought it was cool. Here is the artist's tumblr the original source of this, and his etsy where you can buy a print
Go to Home Depot, buy a metal pole, two end caps, two eyebolts, locking washers and nuts, and a drill if you don't have one. Drill a hole through the end caps. The rest should be obvious.
Or, buy one from my etsy store!
I'm making a grab bag type box for my bridesmaids and I want to throw in EOS lip balms, Essie polishes/files, mini liquor bottles, taco earrings, etc.
What are some other small and girly, but not expensive things I can throw in?
Looks extremely similar to this artist's work. Is this your girlfriend?
Could you please define what sort of dollar range you're looking for? 'Low budget jewelry' can mean anything from $2 to $50, depending on who asks the question.
I asked a question about this earlier, and got some great responses. Worth looking through to see what has worked for others. Nickel and copper seem to be the two biggest offenders, so if I'd recommend googling around to find information about common alloys and what they might contain, and maybe keep a little cheat sheet on you for when you go shopping.
Earrings are particularly bad for me too - this is probably because you have something in you rather than on you, so the holes don't get to breathe. Pay a bit of attention to what's going on there - my ears get inflamed and bleed a little with titanium posts, but I can keep them in without getting the welts, pus, and extreme itching that I would get from nickel-containing metals. I'm guess this is due to physical irritation because I don't wear earrings very often.
Platinum, surgical steel, and titanium have been equally kind to me, and I can also wear fine silver (99.9% vs 92.5% sterling) though it's not commonly used because it's so soft. Of those materials, surgical steel is probably the most budget-friendly. Look for stuff with surgical steel ear-wires or posts, and non-metallic danglies/other ornamentation so you don't have to worry about that rubbing up on your neck or the side of your face.
Another idea - get some plastic clasps for those necklaces and get crafty.
Honestly, as much as I WANT to be into jewelry, what's been easiest for me is to either go the plastic/wood route or forget about the whole jewelry thing and wear stuff like scarves instead.
my favorite Neil Armstrong joke is this sketch
That's why I made this, but nobody gets it. :)
I have no idea what frugal means to you, but Stockbridge will make you whatever you want. I have two caps from her and they're great. The wool is a bit thinner than it is on my Ebbets or Ideal Cap Co. hats.
I bought something just like this on etsy the other day for pretty cheap. Here's the link. https://www.etsy.com/listing/168225556/assassins-creed-revelations-desmond?ref=favs_view_13
It seems to be a cosplay item, but looks cool stand alone. As a heads up though, I've yet to receive it and check the quality first hand. Comes in a bunch of colors as well. Hope that helps!
I bought them, actually! These guys do incredible work. There's also a badass Artorias that I have over my desk.
https://www.etsy.com/shop/Crowsmack
These are the smaller of the two sizes available. Support these awesome artists!
If by any chance someone wants a QR code keychain... Let me know, I've got access to a laser etcher/engraver and can get some fabricated if the interest is there.
PM me or comment.
Edit: Just had her add a listing for the item
(pricing is still very much up in the air, but currently estimated at $10)
I bought this immediately after getting engaged. My intention was to only wear it for work (I am a surgeon, so can't wear jewelry on my hands for obvious reasons), but I wear it pretty much every day. Any time I take my ring off, it goes on my necklace. Doing dishes, putting lotion on, etc. The pendant is hinged, so I don't have to take the necklace off to put my ring on it. Knock on wood, haven't had an issue yet.
This is of course not an alternative to getting your ring insured, but it helps me keep track of it.
Ok, I am going to be honest with you... I don't like it. One of my guilty pleasures is Star Wars lore (Darth Bane Trilogy is one of my faves) so please don't think it's because I "just don't get it". It's not the theme, it's just the design. But I'm not here to shame, I am here to help and I genuinely
1) want Star Wars themed invitation to happen and
2) for them to be the best thing ever.
There are some Star Wars wedding invitations out there that balance a nod to the theme with solid design principles and wedding invitation format.
Dark versus Light I would ask this designer to swap out Yoda and Darth for Sith and Jedi symbols. This concept stays in line with your theme: the joining of forces.*
Meh, kind of cool too Lacks reference to the lore, in my opinion, but I kind of like how they are all black, lol
I would start looking at places like LoveVsDesign, not to buy but to get inspired by layouts you like and swap out the stupid birds and flowers and shit and put in your theme.
Hope this helps, my love!!!
Edit: *which, by the way, brilliant application of the theme to a wedding! Very meaningful, very legit.
https://www.etsy.com/listing/110598543/dumbledores-office-butterbeer-book
I found these on Etsy, but couldn't find the one in op's post. I want Dumbledore's office candle so badly. It seems just like him.
umm...thanks DrRobert! I am glad you liked your decal. I love BB and I was happy to make you that decal. Unfortunately when I made it, I left up quantity 25 from a previous print job and I printed 25 of them. So I have 23 (I screwed one up) left. I would hate to waste them so I think the best thing to do is to give them away at cost. basically give me shipping and a few cents more and you'll get this decal.
Neville I am refunding you all but that two dollars too. Thanks again for being an awesome customer. These are for yellow only...here's the link.
https://www.etsy.com/listing/107621598/breaking-bad-methylamine-gold-hornet
I am friggin bummed that it's almost the mid season end :(
This is a travel case with my new Edwin Jagger DE89LBL inside. It holds four blade (maybe more if the paper were thinner like Astra or something similar) along with the disassembled razor.
If interested, you can pick one up here.
Edit: removed redundant phrasing
These things were used a lot in the late 19th/20th centuries prior to things like electric Marcel irons and whatnot. They work pretty well!
She doesn't have anything up at the moment but here is her Etsy link...https://www.etsy.com/shop/conFUSIONCreations
She said she will get it updated within a couple of days to sell it made-to-order.
Etsy has 30,000,000+ members and 850,000 active sellers. Let them advertise on their own site--I'm sure it's all great stuff. How is that reddit's job?
As for me personally, I've been meaning to unsub from /r/pics for a while now--this is one of my last links to the front page subs, and I'm not going miss it just like the others.
That is actually a rip of Crowsmack's design on Etsy. They do amazing work, some of which is Dark Souls stuff.
There is no $25 fee for etsy :) Just $0.20 per listing. I've seen some confusion about this, and don't know why. I have an etsy shop myself and have never payed more than the listing price and the 3.5% of an item sold. Hope this helps!
Thanks for the nod to my etsy store Geriwulfson! As Geriwulfson mentioned there are many great options on etsy. You can find boxes in wood, leather, yarn, resin and much more. With the materials available this day and age just about anything is possible. I have many projects I am working on and you can find some at www.leifkicker.com. I specialize in deck boxes and have started to venture into life counters. If all goes well in the future, then I will have themed deck boxes with matching sleeves and playmats. I am not the only creator of magic things through, there are many of us out there. Here are some of my favorite things made by other people.
Metal dice!!! I was lucky enough to come across these at a FNM. They have a nice weight to them. Would love to have them in D20,D12,D10,D8,D6, and D4. Ive not come across a complete set but I imagine someone will find it, or start making them.
Custom Sleeves at www.yourcardsleeves.com. This fellow entrepreneur is trying to answer the cry of millions of ccg players. Some of you might recall the kickstarter that went on recently to get these going. I've been following these for awhile and have high hopes for them. Currently the only place I can find offering print runs in low numbers. Other sites can make sleeves in the amounts of like 20,000 minimum order. This guy will set you up starting at 60 sleeves.
If you are in need of a custom playmat then I would start by going to www.inkedplaymats.com. This site offers you the ability to upload your own images. If you are a fellow artist then you can sell your designs on there site and receive a pretty reasonable percentage of each sell.
As a *woman, diamonds are bullshit. My perfect engagement would be this gorgeous thing Still expensive but....at least it's not a diamond?

Thank you so much for the kind words! :)
/r/RazzberryPi makes a lot of important points. What's sad about any business is the way word of mouth works. If you have a great experience and tell your friend, it may reach 2 other people from that source..and if you have a truly bad experience it reaches around 10.
With that, bad brand owners really make consumers very leery of ALL brand owners. As long as you do your research about a company however, it's much easier to weed out the good from the bad.
The amount of knowledge you glean from these brand owners really is an amazingly untapped resource that you just DON'T get from mainstream bigger brands. You can't discuss allergy alternatives, color recommendations, and any other manner of topics with big brands like you can with indies.
For example just talking to Jessica from Little Sparrow, you can pick up right away the care she puts into her products...and I have to agree with her about Ellie as well. She has so much ingredient knowledge packed in that brain of hers, I feel it's safe to say she's probably forgotten more about how ingredients work together than most people ever bother to learn. It's a real treat being able to talk and discuss things with other brand owners.
This guy on Etsy, I'd seen his stuff before and liked them a lot, but never had a reason to order anything. But he does great stuff. The KD thread on the patch even glows in the dark.
I am a huge pet person (I have two creatures using me as a pillow as I type this) but I would not register for everyday pet supplies for our wedding.
I think you could go for something "special" like some fancy pet furniture https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/178454712/mid-century-modern-cat-furniture?ref=shop_home_active_3
The way I see if you wouldn't register for paper towels and toothpaste so why would you register for dog biscuits? Most people just wouldn't feel comfortable buying that for you.
Shiro: My first indie product. I have a buy list that as soon as I have a new job I will be placing an order that will give me more eye shadow than I will ever know what to do with. The only thing I hate is that I got in to her products only recently and missed out on the Portal line and the Nightmare Before Christmas line as well.
On the "and more" side: Beastly Beverages. They make awesome teas and they are fandom themed. I just ordered my friend a birthday gift from their Supernatural line and I need to get some more of the Sherlock themed teas when the shop opens back up again.
Also: The Soap MARKET (Link here . I've never ordered from them but I do have some of their products given to me as gifts and they are amazing.
Thanks! I'm not sure how many hours... lots. Been working on and off since August. I made the pattern myself! It's up on etsy: https://www.etsy.com/listing/174587498/we-are-made-of-star-stuff-carl-sagan
This Pattern from Etsy. :) It's a great pattern for the price, easily modified. I can whip these up in ~30mins. Great practice for newbies! Happy to hear what you threadditors think!
Edit: So this has officially become my 2nd highest post, behind a pic of my son in mismatched clothes. Glad you like them! :D
you should check out the dress section of etsy, it has a lot of generic prom dresses but you will also find a lot of stuff like this. Hope this helps!
I just bought one this week and we are only using our first names (though partly because of space on the stamp and the way it looks overall). They are only $8USD each so if you wanted to buy two, it's not really a big deal. I got our stamp (we have our names and address instead of the example text shown) from this Etsy shop
That's against Etsy's TOS, and you can report the shop.
Also, this isn't new. Resellers are an ongoing and constant problem on Etsy. There used to exist a website/blog, Regretsy, which chronicled all the ridiculous and terrible things on Etsy (Example being Edward Cullen REUSABLE MAXIPADS) and would often post "compare and save" lists showing Etsy listings and their much cheaper identical listings on other sites such as ebay.
Unfortunately I couldn't find any cached versions of these posts but theres discussion here in etsy forums.
Artorias in blue in very poor indoor lighting, I should add. I really need to find a way to fix that, huh?
Anyway, the listing is here if anyone is interested. Interesting fact? You guys here in /r/darksouls account for well over half of all of my sales. Thanks!
I was working on a Solaire design, but Benji came back with 400 hoodies to sell of the design everyone originally wanted so I stopped work on that one. It was particularly time-consuming and difficult, so I moved on to some other designs for now. I will eventually come back to it, don't worry.
Three ideas I had in mind for my next design, if anyone wants to offer feedback:
"Home is where the /\ is" where the /\ is a bonfire stencil. All text in the Dark Souls. Text would be in two lines (Home is Where)(the /\ is).
A shirt with Tarkus that has the text, "Tarkus is my co-pilot." Alternatively, Tarkus with no text.
Ornstein, because Ornstein is badass.
Thoughts?
Again, thanks for all of the support, /r/darksouls. You folks are pretty amazing.
Edit: I should add that there are several other colors, too. The full list is black, brown, royal blue, navy blue, purple, red, cardinal maroon, and forest green. I'm working on assembling a palette image that shows all of the colors with what they all look like bleached.
The Original Post where I first saw these.
And obligatory for the lazy link, here's the etsy page
Thanks to user blanco_meow for making these amazingly cute little guys for me.
I know I pimp out my own blog post an awful lot, but I wrote it when I was just getting started too so I feel it's a great place to begin: A Beginner's Guide to Fragrances
I started with sample vials. That way I could try a lot without feeling like I was taking a risk. Given what you say you enjoy, I'd check out Haus of Gloi and Alchimia Apothecary first!
Check out the Personalized Compact Mirror on Swanson Glass Design.
You choose an illustration from her gallery of pocket mirrors. It's really wonderful quality so I wanted to share!
https://www.etsy.com/listing/178307667/ps4-custom-logo-light-bar
I got the daft punk helmets on my two controllers. I really like how it looks, but for you, they sell a completely blacked out one. May look a little better than duct tape and I spent 15 dollars on it.
Nope! Here's auto billing explained. Pretty much, it means that as a new shop, you can keep listing, and accruing etsy fees until you owe them $25. At that point you must pay your bill before you are allowed to list any more items. You don't just "owe" $25, that's just a threshold that tells you to pay your bill. Does that help?
I didn't think of that! Just because the jars would be really expensive. I can put one up now :)
EDIT: Here is a listing for one. This price comes out to about 3 dollars per eyeshadow as opposed to $4.50. So it's a little over 25% off!
Product: ImpulseCo Mattifying Lip Powder.
^([ETSY LINK FOR THE INTERESTED])
Price: $3.36/five grams.
Review: This stuff is amazing. It does just as it advertises and makes any lipstick (at least all those that I've tried) matte.
I've taken off two points because it is really a bit tricky to apply. I use my finger and gently pat it onto my lips after applying my lipstick. You have to get enough product onto your finger that it's not too thin, or else the lipstick will stick to your finger and make it difficult to get more to spread on the rest of your lips. However you also have to be mindful not to get so much that there is excessive fallout, thus wasting product.
Once you've managed to apply it evenly, your lips will have a soft, matte, velvety ~~lip~~ *look to them. They just look so soft and kissable!
Also, if you need to reapply throughout the day/night you need to go through lipstick and powder again. I find that I'm really hesitant to lick my lips or do anything that will get them wet because I fear it will ruin the whole look. But it's not a huge deal. If you're aware of it and don't actively try getting it off, I'd say it lasts a few hours before the lipstick underneath starts wearing a bit.
I've already repurchased a full size - my first purchase was a sample baggie of a gram just to test it out.
^(TL;DR | Good purchase. Takes some time to get the hang of application and warrants a little care throughout the night to make it last, but works very well!)
Overall Rating: 8/10
Here is my shop for those interested in placing an order. If you are please do not purchase the box on the shop page. It is a sample only. Place a custom order or start a conversation with me about what you would like and I can send you a quote from there. Also, I can make other things as well and am currently working on a playmat design.
I made my own earring holder using a picture frame and a mesh backing, which lets earring hang inside the frame. Example of what it looks like Etsy. This doesn't work for studs or loops very well, but I keep those in empty hello kitty candy tins (which work great for travel!).
Hey Folks, since there have been a couple of comments and some PMs in regard to obtaining a copy of this blueprint I will oblige. There will be two ways to get it. For the fellow poor prop maker such as myself I offer you the image I've posted on my prop-blog which is of a high enough resolution to read the measurements. You can find it on my blog (along with prop making tutorials) at http://www.hvdprops.blogspot.com (more specifically, the image: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-XT9h8vZSZxs/UBLwhNGf0wI/AAAAAAAAARo/vVFZQL-EGRg/s1600/scattergun_plans_final.png )
For those of you who would like to print out your own poster, or just want to help an aspiring prop-maker who was laid off only last week (I'm laying it on thick here! ;D) you can buy the digital file (An uncompressed TIFF and AI vector file) at my Etsy shop here for only a dollar. It would really help me out and allow me to buy some of the tools that would make my props that much better!: https://www.etsy.com/listing/105170271/scattergun-blueprint-digital-download
Thanks for the interest, though, guys! And if you'd like to commission a prop I am open for that as well :)
Edit: Misspelled my own blog URL >.>
I used to wear lots of jewelry as a teenager. All cheap stuff from street sellers that eventually gave me rashes. Now at 32 I pretty much only wear my wedding band and engagement ring (white gold) and if going out, I might put on my late MIL's necklace or a jade bracelet from my Chinese SIL.
I have recently decided that since I still have visible holes in my ears (3 per side) I should put something in them. However, my husband has a bizarre dislike of most earrings on me, he says they look "old" and make him not notice my face as much. I generally humor him since this is his ONLY strong opinion about my personal style, I don't care that much and have minimalist tendencies. But because my ears feel naked and hole-y I did end up ordering these in the KISS3 tiny hoops (black, natural, bronze, and gold) and he gave his dubious assent lol.
I would also like to get some nice natural materials type pendant necklaces. Eyeing this and this.
I checked out your store at https://www.etsy.com/shop/Phillipsartwork and, well, no, it's not going to sell well at all. Your titles and tags aren't useful in search, you have no shop policies, it's like you're not even trying. There are 700k photography listings on Etsy and you can't just expect to throw some photographs on there and have sales appear from nowhere. You don't even mention the resolution of the digital downloads, which is a major flaw that, by itself, will prevent any sales. I suggest doing some research and not making any prints until you've got some listings that might actually be seen by someone, let alone listings that are going to be purchased.
I saw the comment about wanting to be more romantic and the first thing I thought of was Hello Waffle's eyeshadow collections! I have never seen Tangled but I'm guessing it's Rapunzel-esque so it has a happy romantic ending and there's also a collection based off of Frozen. I'm guessing she wouldn't have them since Hello Waffle is rather new (actually started by a redditor - /u/SirWaffalot!) and if she's into Disney stuff that might work.
I know nothing about perfume but there are some solid perfumes from Alchimia Apothecary - also owned by /u/echobunny and I hear good things about the solid ones.
If she wears jewelry there are some indie jewelry places that I know absolutely nothing about so hopefully someone else will talk about those.
Oh! Also - I had an idea. Sometimes people put perfume in a locket and you could do that? And it could be a pretty heart shaped locket or whatever shape you choose.
I figure for the the 2014 brewing competition, I'll offer up a few custom packages for the winners as long as the mods are ok with it. If you don't want to wait, I've listed them at my Etsy shop. I have a 10% coupon running till 3/24 for everything with no minimum order - HOMEBREW
I'd go on Etsy and search Downton Abbey. I bet you see a bunch of cool stuff. Then you could pick out something in her style.
Dowager Duchess is my totes fave, so I'd be stoked if someone bought me this: https://www.etsy.com/listing/123062747/what-is-a-weekend-downton-abbey?ref=sr_gallery_7&ga_search_query=what+is+a+weekend+&ga_order=most_relevant&ga_ship_to=US&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery
But I'm sure you'll be able to find something that is her style. I saw a lot of cute tea/coffee cups which could go with the tea stater_bros suggested. If none of those are quite your fancy, you can get a mug printed at vistaprint fairly cheaply. At the very least you can find her a neat birthday card for sure. If you find something you like but not quite, PM me & I'll see if I can alter something for you (I'm a designer).
Another good option may be costume or real (IDK your budget) vintage art deco jewelry if it's something she would wear. I like brooches on my blazers, so I get vintage ones on ebay & at antique stores.
She does make and sell them herself. She's been selling them on Etsy for YEARS now. https://www.etsy.com/listing/167939381/timey-wimey-wall-clock
Unfortunately, people steal from her all the time. I guess that's flattering. She usually takes it pretty well, but I get so angry on her behalf. She works really hard and people don't seem to respect that her work isn't just the physical object, but the time, energy, and education that she has poured into making the original designs.
It's not as bad when people are making just one individual item for themselves, but they often post them online without even crediting her as the artist. This is the 3rd time I've seen a variation of her clock on this subreddit alone, with no one mentioning her at all.
She's a self-employed artist. This isn't just a hobby for her. It's her livelihood.
I grabbed this off Etsy for $10! It was $5 for the watch and $5 for shipping because it's coming from China. Delivery took a while but it was worth the wait! It's very well made and heavy. The inside also has the title inscribed in both Japanese and English.
It's also available with the Garrison or the Military Police emblem on it https://www.etsy.com/transaction/180548654?ref=fb2_tnx_title
I'm doing these kimonos for my girls to get ready in. They're $25 each and there are a ton of different fabrics to choose from. Then I'm giving them each one of these wine glasses with their favorite bottle of wine. I'm hoping that's good enough.
Here's an etsy listing for someone who is local to Denver and makes eye patches -- maybe they'd be able to work out a custom order?
I'm leaning towards these because I've always loved the idea of wearing blue shoes with my wedding dress & I want to be comfy!
AH, I forgot to post the details.
This is a red XL, and the case is by this guy: https://www.etsy.com/shop/catfashionshow
It's an aluminum (i think) case. It fits super snug with a felt interior as to not scratch the original 3DS. It does not add any bulk, and the design is up to you (as long as the seller is able to laser etch it. He has tips on what kind of design to pick). I really loved this Earthbound (Mother 2) one he had already made up. I'm considering adding a black latex sticker to the areas where the red comes through (especially over the stylus and SD card slot area. That's a bit too much red showing.
I think that adding a section to the sidebar to promote our members' work would be nice. https://www.etsy.com/shop/GreyCraftCorner is run by 42Deadsquirrels. The snoods are perfect for our derpy dogs' heads and the money from the sales goes to help out dogs in need. If other people in this subreddit do similar work it would be nice to have that information in one place.
HA! So, this is relevant to your username too, sort of.
Anyway -- one of the ladies on /r/entwives posted that she had a store on Etsy (here it is, if you like.. )
It's supposed to be an entwife, and it's pretty.. I liked, so I bought.
I was sitting in traffic a couple of weeks ago, right after having watched True Detective the night before, when I realized .. branch antlers.. spiral belly button. Oh shit.
No, I did not. You beat me to the comments.
I bought this from here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/jaydogsqueezy
I'm not sure if he is still making stuff, but he is an awesome guy and his craftsmanship is superb.
Honestly.... I got this purse for christmas that's just a giant photo print of a cat's face. It even has ears that stick up. Almost every day, people ask me where I got it or ask to take pictures of it. It's the reason why I learned not to rely on stranger's comments as my metric for deciding what's fashionable or not.
The most normal outfit I've had that I've been complimented on was this outfit that you can barely see-- Black high waisted paper bag shorts and a blue and white dotted boxy chambray. That one felt good because it wasn't like one crazy thing that stood out.
I had a friend make it, as I didn't have that particular colour wool. I've done similar ones though.
That being said, I just do them for gifts, she does it as a way to make money, Imma just leave her Etsy Shop link here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/CloudandStarGeekery
You're not gonna get cheaper than etsy, which it looks like that pic is from. You might want to try a waxed canvas bag instead of leather.
While we're in this type of thread, I'm curious for opinions here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/MonstaCosmetics
Someone posted swatches of their lipsticks a little while ago and they look ok, but the eyeshadows...ingredients: ultramarines. That's it? Is that like...a legit way to make eyeshadow? Or is it probably repackaging?
I found it on Etsy! The pattern was $9. Normally I would share, but I want to make sure the original creator is rewarded for their wonderful work. :)
The pattern is here. :)
Here are the ones we decided to order:
I absolutely love penguins and we have many memories together with him giving me penguin things. Plus they are just adorable.
On 110# cardstock, I printed text from the first chapter of The Hobbit + Tolkien's illustrations of Mirkwood, Doors of Durin, Smaug and maps from The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. Then I traced/cut 30 identical rhombuses from the cardstock and assembled this puzzle lamp (designed by Holger Strom in the 1970s).
The designs are on the inside of the lantern, so they only appear when it's lit. Had to mirror/reverse the text accordingly :)
Message me if you'd like the puzzle piece template to make your own!
edit: if you're interested in commissioning a custom lantern (I've made them with everything from Kodama to the text of Don Quixote inside) you can find my etsy shop here.
I liked it so much when I saw it on /r/pics that I went right on to the Etsy site and ordered it! Giving it to my FWB for V-Day.
Lol, god, I'm going to sound like an advertisement for them but I seriously love them both.
Limnit Lipsticks, and Little Sparrow Cosmetics are my current obsession. Both are still pretty new but great products and customer service!
I adore The Chequered Lily Apothecary, the colours are beautiful, Kim is sweet and very helpful, and the shadows themselves great! One of my favourites! I've gotten several shadows, with a free shadow with every 50 dollar purchase (which accumulates, doesn't have to be from one purchase) :3
Scaredy Cat Cosmetics is also quite nice, with some really unique colours! Containers/sifter type can be a bit difficult, but easily taken out.
8Bit Cosmetics is also lovely, I really like the Brassy Bits collection! Bronze is one of my favourite colours!
I have really enjoyed most of what I've gotten from Etsy :)
Edit: woah cake day!
This is a pattern I made myself and started last August, of a nebula with a Carl Sagan Cosmos quote over it. I've finally finished everything, including the metallic thread and beading! I'm really happy with the way it came out, but I'm not a great photographer.
I have the pattern up for sale on my etsy shop here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/174587498/we-are-made-of-star-stuff-carl-sagan, coupon code REDDIT for $1 off.

Ahh, you got some of my favorites! Mango Sticky Rice and Honeysuckle Lemon Curd are definitely my faves of the general catalog, and my passion for Ploughman is unmatched, so happy to see other people liking it!
And if you found the cake note a bit lacking in Splendiferous, I'd recommend trying Sugar & Spite's Brewster, it's got similar notes but the cake part is MUCH stronger and the violet is just a whiff.
Just finished my account a few days ago, so I guess it is all new. Thanks
*Edit P.S. I make ceramics. Mostly pottery right now.
Help please!!! Sorry if the link is in mobile posting from my phone!

Very 50's I attempted to do pin up inspired help very wanted
Wow thanks everybody for the kind response! It's really nice to get some feedback. I will definitely post more in the future as I plan on making more of these. They are super fun to do.
Yesterday I finally posted these on my Etsy store, which I feel a little corny linking to but what's the point of having it if I don't tell people about it. Anyway, if anyone was interested in buying them I'd be super thrilled (I haven't sold anything on there yet). Here is a link:

Clothes isn't the only hobby I buy (seemingly) frivolous things for! Planning to get a custom Unique Obliques pen holder for a grad gift for myself.
Also went to a liquor law reform talk last night, was really interesting. It's pretty ridiculous at how prohibition-era laws and attitudes still influence our thinking today. Puritan values really poisoned North American culture IMO.
What also got me thinking about cultural biases was this FFA thread. Obviously men don't have precisely the same problem, but there is sort of a stigma around liking fashion as being frivolous, probably unsurprisingly related to the feminine connotations of fashion. It never made sense to me that if you're "serious" you don't care about fashion. Paying attention to how you look (including grooming, fashion, hygiene, etc) seems like it indicates a detail-oriented personality and shows that you're on the ball.
Maybe this will help, found it on Etsy.
