Even more rare, the Limited Edition barrel, signed by Cranston and Gilligan. Wow, that is not what I'd consider affordable.
If anyone liked this story, he talks about it in his autobiography, A Life in Parts. It's an excellent read! I do want to warn, however, it does contain spoilers for Breaking Bad, so if you have not finished the series, wait to finish it to read the book.
The official screenplay explains a lot.
https://www.scribd.com/doc/181023708/fly-pdf
Pretend it's all metaphorical, the lab is Walt's mind and the fly is his gnawing guilt about Jane. He's trying to get rid of the guilt about Jane but of course this is impossible.
He locks Jesse out of the lab, the lights go off - he's shutting his mind down. Jesse tries to get in, get through to him.
'It's all contaminated' means Walt has given up trying to forgive himself, because infact everything is bad (not just the jane incident) Even if Walt kills the fly, it wont help anything, can't change what has happened. He had been in denial, thinking it would change anything.
In the ladder scene Walt tells Jesse he is sorry about Jane. This is one of Walt's genuine moments, he's not in denial, by saying sorry he's acknowledging fault. Jesse says 'It's not your fault' and says it would have happened anyway. Then Jesse kills the fly and Walt finally sleeps. So, Walt couldn't rid himself of the guilt (the fly) but Jesse absolved him of it.
umm...thanks DrRobert! I am glad you liked your decal. I love BB and I was happy to make you that decal. Unfortunately when I made it, I left up quantity 25 from a previous print job and I printed 25 of them. So I have 23 (I screwed one up) left. I would hate to waste them so I think the best thing to do is to give them away at cost. basically give me shipping and a few cents more and you'll get this decal.
Neville I am refunding you all but that two dollars too. Thanks again for being an awesome customer. These are for yellow only...here's the link.

I just rewatched this with my Dad (him seeing it for the first time). I referenced voodoo and he said "Almost. It's Catholic."
A half-assed Google search has procured the following information:
Virgin of Guadalupe
"Inside Mexico.com calls December 12th, the Feast of the Virgin of Guadalupe, "one of the most important dates on the Mexican calendar." On this day, Mexicans from around the country make a pilgrimage to the Basilica of Guadalupe in Mexico City. Some will travel miles by bicycle, crawling the last few miles to arrive on their knees as a sign of reverence. Dancers and musicians will line the streets while individual fiestas are held all over Mexico. At this basilica, the image of "la Virgen Morena" is kept, which is thought by the faithful to be a sign from the Virgin Mary that she appeared to Juan Diego, asking him to build the church that is now the Basilica of Guadalupe. Mexico in Small Bytes.com notes that this is basically the beginning to a longer Christmas season than the one celebrated in the United States. After Christmas Day on December 25th, Epiphany occurs on January 6th and finishes with Candelaria on February 2nd. Only then do the decorations celebrating the appearance of the Virgin and the birth of Jesus come down and the fiestas wind down."

It's actually from the Spanish verb ir meaning "to go". Vámonos is "to go" conjugated into a command for we/us. So it means "Let's go".
Source: http://www.spanishdict.com/translate/v%C3%A1monos
Context: Vámonos is the name of the pest control company. Jesse reads it out loud, and Skylar responds "I wish", meaning she wish she could go/leave.

Also, the IRS pays attention to these things:
"He also told the grand jurors that sometimes, when he sees somebody driving a Ferrari, he’ll check to see if they make enough money to afford it. When I called Mr. Nordlander and others at the I.R.S. to ask whether this was an appropriate way to choose subjects for criminal tax investigations, my questions were met with a stone wall of silence."

Let me know if you need any recommendations for the area - lived here all my life. :)
Walt and Gretchen's history was discussed in this interview.
IIRC Walt dropped out of grad school to form Gray Matter. Leaving it is obviously a huge career setback as well as an emotional blow. It's not clear what happened to his career after that. My best guess is that his intelligence and his ego made him a poor fit for the sorts of entry-level positions that his undergraduate degree qualified him for. He would have had a hard time taking orders from someone he doesn't perceive to be as smart as him. My bet would be he had bad work relationships and quit two or three jobs, overestimating his ability to always find a better one, and finally wound up with weak recommendations and a spotty resume. Eventually he lands in a job where he's unchallenged as the smartest guy in the room, where he has a lot of autonomy and usually doesn't see his boss all day, which sort of fits his personality even though it's a crappy job.
thank you... be careful that can be a dangerous neighborhood.
Hello, good sir! The BrBa theme mentioned in the ComputerWorld post is mine and, if it helps you or anyone else, I just had a request for the element icons as well so I'll post 'em here, too, if you'd like them.
Here they are, zipped in DropBox, along with an XML that, in theory, you should be able to import into the SimpleText app as a template so you or anyone else who reads this can then base their own icons from it.
Generally no. She could tip the DEA anonymously or attempt to act as an informant by passing documents or trying to record conversations, but I can't imagine that the DEA would be interested. And she would probably be disbarred if she were revealed as a source of information. The DEA wouldn't be interested because they would have to convince a judge that her info (if it were given anonymously) could be included in a request for a warrant. And later they might face the possibility of having to substantiate her claims in court if Walt/Skylar's lawyer shook the tree to see if any fruit came out.
In contrast, 90% of what Saul is doing for Walt and Jesse (and presumably everyone else) isn't covered under attorney client privilege. When attorneys and clients are working together to commit a crime, their communication may not be kept confidential.
D/R Period - Money (I think season 4 episode 2 or 3). I just thought it contrasted so well with how messed up he was at the time.
FAST MONEY! FLY CARS! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVAVaZqNeak
Actually, the location where they filmed really is dark territory, but not a dead zone. "Dark territory" just means that the stretch of track doesn't get any signalling, not that there is no communication at all. A "dead zone" refers to an area where there is no mobile phone coverage.
In fact, the location of the bridge that they filmed at is just south of Santa Fe. The location that they give in the show is much further to the west (Google Maps, based on where Lydia points on the map). It's more in the middle of the nowhere so fits with the story a bit better. There doesn't even seem to be a railway there, as far as I can tell.
For what it's worth, in the Better Call Saul episode in S2 of BrBa, when Walt and Jesse kidnap Saul and Saul sees the shallow grave, he yells "it wasn't me, it was Ignacio" before pleading with them in Spanish.
After seeing how much Gilligan focuses on those little details, I'd find it difficult to believe Saul had two criminal associates named Ignacio. So if nothing else, assuming Saul is indeed referring to the same Ignacio, Nacho's timeline at the very least will overlap with Saul's emergence in BrBa.

Fans of the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers series may remember that the Blue Ranger’s true identity was named Billy Cranston. That surname isn’t just a coincidence. In 2008 Bryan Cranston explained to IGN that early in his career, he picked up extra money dubbing voiceovers for foreign shows and films. One of his steady gigs was at Saban Entertainment, the production company behind MMPR. When production started on the show, the company stuck their longtime freelancer’s last name on the Blue Ranger. As Cranston joked in the same IGN interview, “He’s the fey one. That’s the problem.” http://www.ign.com/articles/2009/03/05/go-inside-breaking-bad?page=4

Well shit, they're only getting $51k. No wonder continuity sucks in so many top films! I guess it's not important to a majority of viewers, so the studios don't really prioritize it?
Not sure if anyone's done this before.
I used Dia. I'm not the best diagram creator, but I thought it was pretty cool to see how the characters are all interconnected. From memory, wikipedia, and google. Not 100% accurate, and some missing people.
If anyone wants to get the source and prettify it and make any corrections, you can grab it here: http://www.sendspace.com/file/jjo712
False. ASCII Art is made by relying on the characters on a keyboard (and their relative darkness) to make the shading in a picture, rather than taking the words of a speech, and shading them in to make it look like a person. This is ASCII Art. What OP posted, is not.
Edit: If using RES, make the image smaller to get a better idea of how the shading works. Make it bigger to see the characters used to achieve this.
amazing analysis! A+! I think that makes a lot of sense. Learning about the Chicago Boys and Chile (through a documentary, The Shock Doctrine ) I can only be amazed at how you tie them up with BreakingBad. Totally plausible! And the link with Germans?? You my man, have blown my mind. We should have the mods verify that you're not a writer on the show, who just came to post a spoiler :) Ha Ha ....
How did you think of this? Must have been an interesting conversation you were having. My friend, this is the best guess I have read about the show.
Only one thing. Assuming you are right. Wouldn't the Madrigal already have come after Walt? If not to annihilate him, for his recipe? The way Mike said, "You don't know what you've done" ... it seems like they should have already acted with some kind of revenge. Also, Gus surely would have commented on who is cooking his superb product.
Here's a question: what if Gus and the German who killed himself had a relationship (m4m) ? All those pictures in his office, his behaviour and sullen demeanor before suicide -like he's got nothing left to live for - ... just a thought ...
This should answer your question.. The urban-ish part of San Diego county doesn't start for a few miles past the border... except for a small area, San Ysidro, that isn't in the photo.
a more sky-like color. also the same favor as the rock candy used in the show
Look up "Breaking Bad Comics." They're poorly drawn variations of the characters and over-simplified. That's a shitty definition, but just look at these and you should get it.
When the waitress asked how long it takes to drive from NH to Albuquerque he tiredly said "30 hours... if you don't stop for gas." He's right. I looked it up.
If you take the literal meaning of the dialogue, then no, we don't know if he drove that route. But if you listen to subtext, the way Walt worded his response, it's implied that he knows the miles from experience, not from reading it somewhere. He said, tiredly, "30 hours... if you don't stop for gas."
Tiredly, because he just drove it.
Saw the address and at first thought that they had just renamed Los Pollitos 2 on Yelp. Was on the wrong avenue.

I don't mind a bad review if there's thought behind it. I don't mind someone not liking the same things I like. I do mind someone trashing something JUST to get attention.

I'd hazard a guess at orchids. They don't like Lily of the Valley at all.
Didn't realize that was Rodrigo y Gabriela. Awesome. That's probably mine too really, but I love the way they use music. It enhances the scenes so much. For instance, this one from Salud when Gus was walking back outside.
EDIT: Also, I found this site which tells you what songs are used in TV shows and movies. Pretty helpful.

...Yes, knowing those variables will tell you pretty damn close to when itll kill her, because its the same principle anesthesiologists use. Amount of drug, body weight that dictates how high a dose is needed to get intended effect, time of drug administration, etc. Anyone who has the know-how to make Ricin knows how much is a lethal dose regardless of how large someone is.
The Minnesota Dept of Health dictates that 1 milligram of Ricin will kill you.
This Amazon listing has individual Stevia packets weighing in at 2.8 ounces, or <strong>79.38</strong> grams. You do the math.
He gave her a massively lethal dose. He knew for sure she would be dead within hours. In fact, given the extreme overkill of the sheer amount of Ricin, she probably would have died much sooner, but im no doctor.

To suggest that the "simplest/smartest" thing to do is break into a chemical facility and commit grand larceny is absurd.
I was using the terms interchangeably - thanks for explaining the difference.
It seems Breaking Bad was released on DVD, at least according to Amazon, which has both a DVD option and a Blu-ray option for each season (example: Season 1).
However, dvdcompare.net doesn't appear to list Better Call Saul DVDs either. Is it possible the site hasn't catalogued the DVD versions of either show, or the contents of the DVDs are identical to the Blu-rays in this case?
And thank you for linking me to the site, it's very helpful and I will definitely use it soon to add to this list which shorts/extras/etc. are available on Blu-ray.
P.S. I'm sorry for the late response, no number showed up on my notifications icon so I didn't realize I had any notifications until I clicked it.

> Skyler used a "second honeymoon" story for reasoning. We obviously know it isn't an actual second honeymoon so this is a way to explain to Hank and Marie a sudden reason for leaving.
Again, you amusingly miss all the subtext. Marie told Hank that Skyler was talking about it "like a second honeymoon". Now unless English isn't your first language, you have no excuse for not understanding this is Marie's way of expressing Skyler's unbridled joy about her upcoming romantic holiday. The back patio scene before that is about Skyler's giddiness about hair-care products, laughing and carrying on like a happy kid...until mother-Skyler gets stern about Holly's sunscreen! If you don't understand by now that the whole point of that scene is to show the audience how happy Skyler is (to give weight to what comes next), you never will.
>the divorce papers came after Walt started his drug empire
Correct! Skyler refused Walt's divorce papers, after he started his drug empire, now you're starting to acknowledge her guilt, the start of her becoming accomplice and partner.
> Skyler was NOT responsible for Hank and Gomie's death.
Again, when you're a partner in a criminal organization, sharing equally in the profits, you're responsible for the consequences of that criminal organization. Period. If you don't understand that by now, you never will.
Conclusion? While Walt accepted his blame (Integrity), Skyler not only never accepted hers, she blamed it all on her partner (Hypocrisy, Disloyalty, Betrayal). That hypocrisy is why Skyler is the most morally bankrupt character in the series. Period. If you don't understand that by now, you never will.
Oh wow did you have to spend $17 too? High roller.
For me personally - this scene is where Heisenberg took his "final form".
Also, if you haven't already PLEASE listen to/read Bryan's autobiography. He goes into detail about this scene early on in it and it hits 10x harder once you hear him talk about it.

The actual address is 325 Terrace St SE Albuquerque, NM 87106. I would rent the shit out of that place.
The actual poisoning, or however Mike kills Marco, happens off-camera. When Marco is coding with Walt and all the DEA agents gathered at the door of his room, Mike walks by in the background and drops an unseen object (a syringe?) into a medical waste bin on the wall. This is him at the medical waste bin around 42:50.
As I just learned, when digested, Ricin can be treated and people do make a full recovery.

There's no way water is putting out that fire before the damage is done. In fact, you're not even supposed to use water on a chemical fire because it just spreads it around.

I agree with you there, however I am not saying "Here's a picture of Aaron Paul and I." I'm simply saying "Aaron Paul and I" and could add to the sentence by saying something like "Aaron Paul and I took a picture together" but chose not to.

To view, download Lego Digital Designer(free program).
Open the file, next to the tap just below the top where you can select bricks to put, there's a tab marked "Groups," with the walls, floors, and individual sections of the lab.
You can select the walls and floor to and click the hide button, then export the sections out to build a better instruction guide in the program for each part since currently the building guide with it all together is a bit ridiculous in terms of practicality.
If you want to build a parts list I recommend removing the walls and floors and doing it yourself since my main focus was on the interior of the lab and not the aesthetics of how well the walls looked from the outside.
If someone does end up building it or modifies it just don't forget to credit me, but if not just let me see the progress!
You are certainly entitled to your opinion. In the popular consciousness I would say that Tony is still very well liked. Below is a tv.com poll (very unscientific) but googling finds that Tony comes out on top on most if not all the informal polls. I think right now Walt would not come out as the 'favorite' breaking bad character. I would guess it would be a tight call between Jesse and Saul with Walt just above Skyler and Marie towards the bottom.

I like that, as correct as you are, you're still incorrect. My flair is the title of a Ween song, the definitive version of which can be heard right here. Enjoy!
Okay. Had to watch the scene again. Didn't pay much attention previously but I didn't understand what he meant. So I looked it up on the internet.

I have a Kindle 2 International. This website has some good screensavers and here are some decent jailbreak instructions for the Kindle 3.
Thank you so much! I also just finished it myself but still thank you for taking your time as well.

Install to your browser, then when you use the internet it will appear to Netflix as though you are in the US.
Unless Netflix has clamped down on this - I used to use it for Netflix in South Africa, before they launched here.

I'm just fucking bored...a lot. And explosives are cool.
I just use Hotspot Shield it's amazing, secure's my connection, blocks my IP. Nice and simple, can bypass any rubbish like ''not available n my country" because my connection doesn't leave a fingerprint as it were online, I can't be tracked or traced. Well not very easily.
Best looking one to me from all the ones out there.
There's the Pop Culture and Philosophy series published by Open Court. They've covered everything from The Simpsons to The Sopranos and the Breaking Bad edition had some interesting essays.
I would also recommend another book at that link, 'Wanna Cook? The Complete, Unofficial Companion to Breaking Bad'. It goes through each episode of every season and offers a lot more insight than just a synopsis. There was a lot of great ideas in that one.
I've got a new one coming from Amazon this week, The Breaking Bad Companion. And there's the Official Breaking Bad book that just came out last month. Don't know how in-depth they get, however.
Amazon Link it looks like you can only buy the green deck. I can show a picture with more of the green deck if you want. If you look at the bottom picture I posted, the kings on the far left are from the green deck
