I read somewhere (I think it was this book) that what separated the professions by respectability was whether or not you accepted a fee directly from your client. Since doctors and solicitors were paid directly, those were middle class jobs, but things like banking or being a barrister (the people that actually argue cases in court) were acceptable jobs for gentlemen.
I'd go on Etsy and search Downton Abbey. I bet you see a bunch of cool stuff. Then you could pick out something in her style.
Dowager Duchess is my totes fave, so I'd be stoked if someone bought me this: https://www.etsy.com/listing/123062747/what-is-a-weekend-downton-abbey?ref=sr_gallery_7&ga_search_query=what+is+a+weekend+&ga_order=most_relevant&ga_ship_to=US&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery
But I'm sure you'll be able to find something that is her style. I saw a lot of cute tea/coffee cups which could go with the tea stater_bros suggested. If none of those are quite your fancy, you can get a mug printed at vistaprint fairly cheaply. At the very least you can find her a neat birthday card for sure. If you find something you like but not quite, PM me & I'll see if I can alter something for you (I'm a designer).
Another good option may be costume or real (IDK your budget) vintage art deco jewelry if it's something she would wear. I like brooches on my blazers, so I get vintage ones on ebay & at antique stores.
I'm not what all /u/MyPr0nUser was talking about but don't use Hola. The reason you've never had an issue is because you don't know about it. You computer will act as a exit node and if someone does anything illegal it'll be traced back to you. Use Zenmate instead.
All 6 seasons, blu-ray, UK edition. 18 disks, $109.87
I'd just try one and see how it works. I'm currently using Private Internet Access. It's $6.99 a month, incredibly simple to use and quite fast. I'm usually on a 60 or 70 Mbps connection and only lose 5 or 10 when I use it. To change regions, just tell it where you want it to connect from.
I mostly use it for simple privacy. The regional options are just a nice bonus. Lately, I'm pretty sure it's useless against US government snooping, but I think it's sort of decent against most private companies (other than your VPN).
I just tried the itv website. It works, but for Downton Abbey, there's a 99p charge, which I didn't want to pay (assuming there's even an option to pay for it from the US). Other videos work just fine.
This is just on Amazon, but you could probably find other options online that are cheaper or better quality.
Does anyone have the Downton cookbook?
Looking at just the names of the recipes I think I'd prefer the downstairs menus with a few upstairs additions.
It looks like there will be one for the second film!
Most of the videos in the playlist are blocked for viewers in the US and Canada, but if you're really trying to watch the playlist then use a web proxy like https://www.vpnbook.com/webproxy and select the "UK proxy" before entering the playlist's url
Scriptbook==If I get a chance, I will try to copy and paste.
Ultimate Downton Abbey Blu-ray Collection - The Complete Series + The Movie / Secrets of Highclere Castle [Downton Abbey: Seasons 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 (Original UK Edition) + Movie + Documentary] https://www.amazon.com/dp/B088C2RKGQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_OAYWFbY1RKXZT?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
That makes sense. I think you're right, they do come from the Complete Collection.
I don't think the ITV website has any usable content anymore. The videos don't play and there's a bunch of seemingly broken "quizzes" that don't contain an actual quiz.
There was this one other TV Special/Bonus Feature thingy that I can't figure out either. It's an 10-part series called "Downton Abbey: The Weddings" and apparently it's like a collection of every wedding episode plus some behind-the-scenes videos of the weddings. I found it on Amazon Prime Video but it's not available to watch in the US (probably because of the NBC rights issue). Here's the link: https://www.amazon.com/Downton-Abbey-The-Weddings/dp/B078YCP68W. Where do you think this comes from? It seems a little long to be from a box set, so maybe a TV special from some year after the show ended?
https://www.amazon.com/Downton-Abbey-Board-Game-Red/dp/B00IDZZGQW i found it on amazon. it looks a bit pricey.. you might find it some place else? its a cute and simple game i would recommend it if you are a fan of the show
