So I maintain my lavender highlights with this shampoo, be careful though, it will stain your hands purple if you don’t rinse them off afterwards! I usually leave mine in for 5 mins in the shower to just refresh the color. When it starts to fade, I will apply it dry and then leave my hair wrapped in a bag for 30-45 minutes, then rinse and it does a great job depositing color without drying out or damaging bleached hair!
To follow up and touch up on the blue, I would mix in a semi permanent blue dye with your sulfate free conditioner and let it sit for an additional 20 minutes, then rinse with cold water until the water runs clear.
The purple will prevent yellowing and brassiness and then blue with deposit deeper color back into your hair.
Source: my hair stylist is sick of me constantly asking questions lmao
Good luck! Please update with pics if you try this :) <3 Edit: forgot to add the actual link to the shampoo, I am So sorry, I got really excited to finally post something relevant lol
Fanola: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CGPMEAQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_rRk.Cb0420RCT
You can use purple shampoo and conditioner (if you're in the US they have it at Sally Beauty) to try and keep the brassy-ness away. For all my hair dying, I've liked using OGX as far as a sulfate-free option.
Your color is just lovely!
It's not the best picture, but this was taken back in September. I get this look if I braid my hair into 7 sections overnight to stretch the curls out. If I didn't stretch my hair, it would be about 25% shorter or so?
I second that. Toner is not the product to use, to get the color of the last slide. Sorry if this was clear to you and I misunderstood your post. I'm concerned if your hair is bright enough. The red tones in your ends could create a violett, when you use blue hair color. I would bleach one more time on the red areas or maybe the whole head.
You didn't ask for this, but maybe it helps. I used these products to bleach my hair: Bleach https://www.amazon.de/dp/B076GMB7SV?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share Developer https://www.amazon.de/dp/B06X17WTFZ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Make sure to use enough product on your hair, so that it doesn't dry during the bleaching process.
She did for the first session to get an even base, but now for touch ups she usually gets me to help her using this here: https://www.livecolour.com/our-products/urban-metallics/u71-metallic-silver
However even though it says permanent I notice the toner fades quite quick. I personally prefer semi-permanent colours because they have a conditioning base that doesn't need a chemical reaction to dye the hair, but you would need the light base first.
Also, a good pigmented purple toning shampoo that you leave in a few minutes in the shower can go a long way to maintain a nice silver tone.
Fanola No Yellow Shampoo, 350ml https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00RWCDM4A/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_gnGSDb5WCWB8T
I definitely recommend speaking with a stylist to get their professional opinion on what's achievable. But in my opinion, a good silver comes down to at home maintanance once you're home from the stylist.
Hope to be of some help, just do what feels right and makes you happy
These things were used a lot in the late 19th/20th centuries prior to things like electric Marcel irons and whatnot. They work pretty well!
I did a quick google search and it is called 3D Trio of Sushi Phone Case. There is a listing for it on claires and I also found it on a website called Aliexpress :)
Edit: Also found it on Ebay
Sometimes a good toner will help even out faded hair dye depending on how strong the color is. IMHO and many stylists I know use, Fanola products to tone. It is a very pigmented purple or blue and works phenomenally well. Purple tones yellow blue tones orange I bought the pack of both because I have stubborn darker areas and it worked fabulously. Here's a link https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CGPMEAQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_7BYXZ9PPYT5WAWN9QRZT Good luck!
Hooray for henna! I redid mine today, with a fairly similar process. I mix mine with strong black tea (cooled) and a bit of lemon juice for bleaching properties. I use the cheap stuff off amazon and am pretty confident that its legit. I also toss in some cinnamon to counteract the dirt-matcha scent, in case anyone else dislikes it as much as I do :)
My hair is naturally a medium ashy-brown, so the henna gives me a nice, natural auburn color, particularly in sunlight. I love it!
If you like low maintenance, the first idea sounds like the least hassle. It would mean you wouldn't have to re-dye so often since the brown would be close to your roots color. I think brown would look nice with your skin tone.
ALSO let me throw in my 2 cents for bangs. Simple side bangs on a pixie look great and will look less straggly than what you have now. I just googled side bangs pixie and got some good suggestions.
The only thing I have found that will slightly hold is to put the curlers in the night before and sleep in them, if you have a hair dryer hood that helps, I think you can get them on amazon ( https://www.amazon.com/Universal-Soft-Bonnet-Dryer-Attachment/dp/B00KQWHXXE ) and wear it a few times for different time periods. And then a lot of hair spray.
Wisdom & Wisdom is favorite but is pricey for the size of the bottle.

I’ve also used and like Tigi Bed Head Dumb Blonde.

I did not have the best results with Joico Purple Shampoo but it is popular.
I buy all of it from Amazon to avoid salon pricing but there is always the risk that it’s an older or incorrect product and YMMV.
Back when I used to bleach part of my hair white I used to use cholesterol to help it soften back up again. I used Queen Helene's Cholesterol Cream but you can also use other treatments like olive oil, mayonnaise, or eggs (just remember to rinse them out thoroughly!).
What about something like this cut-wise? http://pinterest.com/pin/163959242654126212/ The bangs would look awesome on you and it is just such a classic, pretty style. When I style mine this way, I use some Sea Salt Spray to add texture and volume since I have very fine hair and blow it dry with a big round brush.
I loved this stuff when I grew mine out: https://www.amazon.com/Giovanni-Wicked-Texture-Styling-2-Ounce/dp/B0011DIXJU

Gives a nice bit of malleable body without being crunchy, smells fairly gentle for a styling product, and is subtly iridescent!
"No shampoo" can range from essentially no SLS shampoo and no -cones conditioners to replacing shampoo and conditioner with e.g. soda or sugar scrubs and vinegar.
First off, both natural and dyed are amazing! What a beautiful copper you have. Have you tried a color depositing shampoo and conditioner? I have one from Celeb Luxury called “tourmaline” and it’s basically exactly like your second photo. I only have the shampoo, but they make a conditioner too. The shampoo is surprisingly pigmented though. And since your natural color is already copper this is probably more than enough for you.
Celeb Luxury Gem Lites Colorwash: Color Depositing Shampoo https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01JQWSF8G/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_KAMZ4T9PK3A08M8RHZV8?psc=1
All the good Trump wigs are sold out! "Everyone in America wants to be Donald Trump (for Halloween)"
I guess it would be best to start bleaching his hair right away. Since bleaching is harsh, would you recommend using a level 20 developer? I read that all developers can achieve the same hair shade, but it's a matter of the time it takes to get there.
Will not make your hair colour purple, just "even out" the yellow "brass" bits
Purple's opposite is yellow on the colour spectrum; red & green, orange & blue; purple & yellow
Thanks for this!
This is the first Google result for a temporary black hair dye - is it really bad quality so not worth considering, or something?
The easiest way to make a link is to type your entire message out, then highlight the text you want to make into a link, and press the "chain" button in the center, above your text box. It will ask you what URL you want, which you paste in, and it formats it for you.
Disclaimer: im not sure if this only works with regular reddit or if you have to have Reddit Enhancement Suite
Try Fancy Full in black, sorry the link leads to blonde. I am blonde naturally and have used the brown over the blonde before and it came out well. I'd say the black would be pretty nice but may give you very mild purple undertones. Good luck!
Ok I think an issue is that the picture you posted isn't her actual colour, its a filter. This is the same woman as your photo. If you want this colour then alpine green would be perfect. If you want it closer to teal, then I would buy turquoise too and mix. You will be able to be 100% sure about the exact colour you will get by doing test strands. I always do about 5 strands of different ratios and mixtures to find the perfect colour.
In terms of directions vs. manic panic, I would really really encourage you to use directions. Directions tends to be far more even and it fades much prettier and much more even too. Manic panic has a slightly strange watery constancy too which makes it more difficult to use. Directions will definitely last you much longer. I don't know where you live so I'm sure about the cost difference for you, but in my experience I have never had an outcome from using manic panic anywhere near as nice as from using directions
Edit: About the different photos on google, that may be because alpine green is often mixed with another dye or conditioner to dilute the colour for a more pastel outcome, or it may be because there was a formula change. The old one had more bluer tones, like a dark turquoise, whereas the new one in like the picture I've linked above
I put the video I found of how to do it on my pinboard: http://pinterest.com/pin/166914729909661384/
It does rub off, you really only want it for the night- not long term by any means. It was fun for the night though, and easy way to add extra color. I wouldn't do it on a night you think it's going to rain.
I like doing various types of braids in my hair. Like two on either side and a bun on top, or a halo of braids around my head with some down. http://pinterest.com/search/?q=braid+hair+styles Basically stuff like this. Its easy and it looks creative. Throw in some hair accessories and bam!
Get Pulp Riot. It is a professional color and it blows MP out of the water: Pulp Riot Semi-Permanent Hair Color 4oz- Cupid https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0857HQSSY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_454VZKYDBX6WQ0ANA90X
they make color remover for direct dye! I saw someone else mention Colour Off, and this works really well but it is also bleach based. It's more like a bleach bath, which is gentler than actually bleaching again.
This one is not bleach based and you can leave it in for up to 8 hours. It has solid reviews. https://www.amazon.com/Color-X-Change-Phase-Out-Decolorizer-Intensive/dp/B07GPRPN28/ref=sxts_sxwds-bia-wc-rsf-lq2a1_0?cv_ct_cx=x+color&dchild=1&keywords=x+color&pd_rd_i=B07GPRPN28&pd_rd_r=1ece1cdc-6a34-4da6-8dc0-6ad1f189df2e&pd...
I might try a Color Protein filler before going to toner or any sort of dye. The red #10 here should cancel out the green in your hair. I've only used the #3 platinum but it's never ever over toned my hair. In theory, the red should cancel out any green tones (some of the reviews on Amazon go over this process).
Also, here's a small article on what the different proteins do.
I hope you find something that works! :)
It might be your flat iron - I recently cut my hair short and wanted to try curling it with a straightener, but my old straightener from, like, 10 years ago was not doing the trick. So I bought this one on Amazon, and now it's super easy and quick to curl my hair!
$7 on Amazon and you get two pairs, one in silver and one in gold. I've worn mine on and off for a year or so and no irritation, so it's a triple win! I hope you enjoy them :) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01JYE9HHO/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_c_api_Cmq9BbPE99GMH
If you want to stick to unnatural colours you could try Special Effects brand dyes (if you haven't already)!
I've used both Atomic Pink and Pimpin' Purple at heavy dillution with great success, they lasted for months and the fade just turned them to different beautiful shades.
Amazon link: ♥
Oooh... that’s a tough call. Blues and greens are actually the hardest to get out haha. You could always go the route of a color depositing shampoo and/or conditioner. Those tend to fade out quicker and are just a fun slightly-longer-than-temporary option.
The ones I know of are:
overtone - https://overtone.co which is a color depositing conditioner. I’ve never used it so I have no idea how it fades, but I imagine it doesn’t last as long as a regular semi permanent color.
Viral colorwash - https://www.amazon.com/Viral-Extreme-Silver-Colorwash-8-25oz/dp/B01J6DP6QO I’ve used this before and love it. It can be sliiightly drying but just make sure to use a good conditioner. I can’t speak for the blue, but I’ve used the pink and lavender and they always fade out quite nicely.
Both are a little bit more expensive, but I think it would be a better option than Manic Panic. Also, if you think about it, they’re multi use. You can also put both of these on dry hair to help deepen the color, as far as I’m aware.
My hair is actually super thick/straight/natural (no color, except for some leftover purple I have in my bangs from a few months ago) and it was very very brittle before I did the mask. That damn Garnier shampoo/con I was using basically killed my hair. I accidentally left the mask on for like 2 hours... took 2 or 3 washings to fully get the banana out because I didn't puree it enough. But it smelled amazing and I noticed a huge difference after I got it all out. I was afraid my hair would smell of eggs but the banana took away all of the egg scent.
Here's a little tutorial I found, I can't find the one I had originally used. I basically just mixed banana, some olive oil, and an egg together and heated it up in the microwave for a few mins to get it some what warm. :)
I would work on being a light purple with pink tones (mix baby pink and lavender) and as that fades it'll be easier to put pink on it. You're not going to be able to bleach out the blue :( you'll end up melting your ends off. I'm gonna link a picture and the blue is 6 months old. It was really dark and rich and no matter what I do it won't go away. I put straight pink on one side to make rhat purple color. https://instagram.com/p/xFrT6wBy5L/ to change it up because I can't strip the blue. Only cover it. This pic was a few months ago too. It's lighter now so I'm finally going to cover it this monday
Co-Washing how to is over here.
I still wash my hair with sulfate free shampoo every now and then. I use a good conditioner and keep it to the tips of my hair and I use argan oil to treat it from time to time.
To make sure you're getting the type of haircut you really want, bring in a picture! Search on Google, look in magazines... you can even bring in a friend/picture of your friend if you love their cut. Bringing in a picture greatly increases the chances that the cut you want is what you get. What you see when you're describing a cut might not be what the stylist sees. Generally pictures from more than one angle are best. If you feel like you're still getting bland haircuts, tell your stylist "I need a change, I want something edgy and sexy".
Another tip is to go somewhere with good stylists. You probably aren't going to get something fabulous and hot from a superclips or JCPenney salon. Try going somewhere a little more expensive, maybe? You can look on sites like Yelp that have reviews of salons around you and pick ones that have good reviews. I know money can be an issue sometimes, but think about it this way: Would you rather pay a little money for something you're going to be unsatisfied with, or spend a couple extra bucks on something you really like? Some salons have coupons or special deals, or military discounts going on from time to time, too. Never hurts to call and ask, the worst they can say is no.
Try to find a haircut that suits your face shape. You can either pull your hair back tightly and trace the shape on the mirror, or do this measuring trick Then maybe try googling "haircuts for (insert your face shape here)". Be patient, it might take a while to find something you'll like.
Another thing you could do would be to try getting highlights or lowlights. Get the ones that are more blended rather than chunky, so the growout is less obvious. That can do a lot to add some brightness, dimension and interest to your hair and around your face.
Ok, saw the bit about products/shampoo above. Definitely get separate conditioner and shampoo, you'll find your hair gets cleaner that way.
The buildup after not washing are skin cells that don't get sloughed off when you wash. Don't go so often without washing and be sure to give yourself a through scalp massage when you do, it'll help break it up and get it out of your hair and scalp. Note: Don't scratch when you massage, you don't want to damage your scalp.
Some folks like to use olive oil as a conditioning tool once a week. Here are some instructions: http://www.ehow.com/how_4884793_use-olive-oil-hair.html When I do it, I don't warm the oil. And be sure to get cold-pressed or extra virgin olive oil. Here's the theory: Your hair is super dry so your body is over-producing oil to compensate. You over dry it when you try to wash out the oil and it creates a cycle.
Info on vinegar rinses: http://chagrinvalleysoapandcraft.com/shampving.htm Definitely use apple cider vinegar, don't worry, the smell washes away. Use it as the last thing in the shower. It helped when I had a lot of product built up from using Pantine shampoo/conditioner.
Those two things are fairly cheap at-home things you can do. A "cone"-free shampoo, like suggested above, may help too. Although most of them are marketed toward color-treated hair as they don't strip color, you can still use them.
Vitamin C plus dandruff shampoo. Crush up about 15 vitamin C pills and mix it with some dandruff shampoo to form a paste. Spread all over hair and Saran Wrap your hair or bag and let sit for 3-4 hours. Hair might be a little dry afterward, but you can always coat your hair with coconut oil and sleep with that overnight to help.
Here's a link for more reference.
And my own personal picture. Good luck!
Hey there! As far as maintaining color, I've been doing lots of reading/swatch searching for the brand oVertone. I saw someone on my instagram use it to give her blonde roots in a blonde -> lime green hair an awesome blue color at the roots.
I also just discovered via their instagram that they will be coming out with a shampoo line as well!
ED: I should probably add that I have no affiliation with the company. I just saw them pop up on my instagram and have been thinking about it all week!
Just try something not too much darker than your natural color. You're a lot luckier than dark haired girls going lighter because dark roots tend to make your hair look perpetually greasy (not attractive). I immediately thought you would look beautiful with chestnut brown hair, and particularly thought this would be perfect for you, especially because you can keep a bit of your natural color towards the end for a kind of ombre highlight shown in this picture. Good luck!
Use this. After normal shampoo, before conditioner. Put it on towel dried hair and leave for 5-10 minutes. It'll brighten the tone up for you https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B077D8QM6K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_i_CJW2VD01RYPC4S0K7Y5H?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MTIUCP4/ref=ox_sc_act_image_2?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&th=1 here is a list of the colors. I was thinking 7KG mid copper gold but I can't seem to find many examples of it in someone's actual hair, and when I do search it, it seems maybe too orange in color...

I'm not really sure what they're called, but I found some on Amazon. If you look at the bottom of the page, there are a bunch. You spin them into the braid.
Olaplex Number 3 is available on Amazon. It's crazy expensive at over $8 USD per ounce, but the damage repair it offers to bleached hair is incredible. Olaplex sells other hair products like shampoo and conditioner, but Olaplex No. 3 us the only hair treatment product of theirs that is sold to consumers without a cosmetologist license.
It’s called Color Oops!! I’ve linked one I found on Amazon so you can see what it looks like but should be available at your local sally beauty shop
>same with pulp riot, but those are harder to get your hands on if you’re not licensed.
For some reason, non-licensed plebes can get pulp riot and pravana on amazon.

My hair is currently fading out from a red/orange dye I did 2 months ago. It is overall fairly fine and lacks body. I have been thinking of this for [red] and this for [blonde]. I'm not overly sure what I want though and what will look good. Any advice would be so helpful!!
I hear you. We are also always hardest on ourselves; it’s a big change, but it’s probably cuter than you’re able to appreciate right now. You’ve learned an important piece of information about yourself (you prefer the feeling and options of long hair). That’s a great thing to learn when future you is all like, hey let’s cut our hair! Use this time to try out new haircare routines (product lasts longer on shorter hair, and it takes less time!) and enjoy the awkward moments. In a really positive way, it’s just hair. At the end of the day, it’ll do what it do, so spend that energy on something more in your circle of control.
I have curly hair too, so I have a few months of my hair getting bigger before it gets longer, if that makes sense. They’re also curls I got post-chemo, so my curl pattern is all over the place, or at least that’s what I blame it on. That might not be science. Depending on which section you’re looking at, I’m a 2A to a 3C with everything in between. This is where roller sets and flat wraps come in; I can loosen up my curl pattern without heat to get some length going. I didn’t realize my hair had gotten this long until after a shower 🙃 I have a ton of curlformers that I loved when my hair was shorter but it’s too long now to use the ones I have. If you’re in the US, I’ll send them to you! Someone should use them.
I haven’t done wigs or extensions, but lots of people do. Just be careful to still take care of your scalp when you’re in protective styling mode so your edges stay healthy and the follicles get enough blood supply to keep pumping out hair.
Im no expert on shower caps, but for me the best ones are those that are big enough for your head and all your hair so nothing tries to slide out or pop off. I have a larger head, and I have found this one well-sized and sturdy (sorry for the terrible link):
Oxidative dyes with no developer won’t do anything so that wouldn’t work.
I used literally any box dye with 7.34 or 7.43
Trying to find one that’s likely available in other countries, maybe this L’Oréal one? Or Garnier.
You are SUPER welcome! It's taken since birth for me to love my curls, but 30 years later I finally have it! My stylist has told me that any $20 brand is fine, so long as it gives you 3 different temperatures and the ability to use a cool setting.
Here is mine, and it works JUST fine: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Revlon-Ionic-Pro-Stylist-1875-Watt-Dryer/10965521
LOVE LOVE my turbies :-D I find that if I squeeze my hair out in the shower, and then twist my hair into the towel and give it a good tug to squeeze out some more, it's pretty good to go!
Another important thing with curls is how your hair is shaped. For me, choppy layers work wonders. Some girls do better with long layers. That will help a ton with styling as well!
Best of luck! Every curly haired woman should love her hair as much as I do now :-D
Top bun, one or two of these on either side of the bun to keep it in place. I have worn my hair like this every night for at least 2 decades.
I wonder if the person in your image is wearing a wig - in fact, you may be able to get the same one, I have this purple one that I styled similarly to your inspiration image.
Was it a semi or a permanent? Red semi's are going to bleed like crazy for the first several washes so this is probably normal, unfortunately. You can try sealing it by using the Matrix Laminate spray and/or Amika's Fadeblock pre-shampoo Seal prior to washing (I've used both for my orange/copper and it seems to work, Amika maybe a little more but it's a minor difference) or doing a conditioning treatment with the Chi Ionic color Lock or the Wella Post Service Treatment that are supposed to help seal in the color longer. I like the Wella one a lot fwiw
Beyond that, it's probably the result of either the stylist over lifting your hair (if it was bleached first) or just the brand not agreeing with your hair and your stylist will need to change brands for you if that's the case. It's likely the latter and it's not uncommon. Lots of people will find that certain color lines just don't take to their hair well or refuse to stick. I cannot use any of the Mydentity or Joico semis and Wella as a whole will not stick to my hair - they'll bleed every time I wash, even if I just co-wash, while Schwarzkopf and Lunar Tides are like spackle on my hair, even the reds, and almost never even budge past the first 2-3 shampoos.
If the color sealing doesn't work the best option after is letting the red fade out and going over it with a red from another brand. You can use a porosity filler first to hopefully encourage the color to stick better too. And then try to wait like 3 days before washing it for the first time.
Thus is the one I use and I love it. I've used the others with the bigger teeth but found them hard to get to my scalp and would tangle my hair. This one is still gentle but easily reaches through all my hair to my scalp.
This gave me a little hope ty. And to everyone else who replied quickly. I have asked my husband to order me this.. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Kallos-Keratin-Protein-Damaged-Chemically/dp/B00OM9CR9M/ref=asc_df_B00OM9CR9M/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=218137620127&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=17658706994782184416&hvpone=&hvptwo=&... I really hope it works
I absolutely adore heavy French style bangs but my coarse curly hair refuses to participate. Finally found this bangs wig that I had my stylist dye to match and I'm in heaven.
But after years of darker virgin hair, what do I do with my brows? How do I keep from the blonde washing me out? Paler foundation or more bronzing?
Framar makes color removing wipes that work SUPER well. I use them after dying my hair orange or when I do my bff's purple and black hair. They'll get like 90% of the stains off skin.
You can try a pink dye and thin it down with conditioner to cancel out the green. You want it to be a light pink colour.
I like this shampoo it may work for you. I would suggest diluting it though as it’s pigment rich
You may end up with a slight pink tinge but it should help eliminate the green
Not a hair stylist but someone who likes bright coloured hair.
You're already doing some of the biggest things to make a good environment for optimal growth - so definitely continue with the limiting of heat and washing less often. Brushing isn't likely going to do much one way or the other beyond detangling to prevent breakage. And the hair vitamins are good if they're helping - but be aware that brand is pricey for what basically a prenatal vitamin does in case you want to save some $$$.
My biggest help when growing out my hair (currently growing out a buzz - I'm already at pixie length 3 months in from a 3/4" shave) has been scalp care. I exfoliate my scalp with one of these little brushes every 3 washes. I like these vs the silicone ones as it gets deeper into my hair which is fairly dense. I also use a clarifying rinse about once a month (my favorite is the R+Co Kombucha rinse which is gentle on my dry hair and doesn't strip my color).
Get it trimmed at least semi-regularly to clean up your ends. My stylist doesn't take much length off but just evens out some parts and re-shapes as needed so my hair grows out gracefully instead of in an awkward mess. I go in about every 8-10 weeks for that. It helps a LOT in feeling good about my hair as well as keeping the split ends away.
Also! Use good quality products. You don't have to drop cash on the fancy salon brands if it's out of your budget, but opt for gentle shampoos, conditioners that will keep your hair hydrated, and stylers that will help prevent sun damage, dryness, etc. I like the Loreal EverPure stuff for drugstore and R+Co and Briogeo for professional brands. Mizani also makes an amazing leave-in multipurpose spray with the 25 Miracle line.
Olaplex for bond repair for sure! If nothing else I'd grab the #3 treatment and the #8 moisture mask. They're the heavy hitters IMO, though I do love the whole line (5, 6, and 9 are <3 for care and styling). Just be sure with #3 that you use it on clean hair (so clarify if you have a lot of buildup) and shampoo it out after. You kind of have to treat it like using a pre-shampoo treatment and you'll want to condition after too as 3 isn't a deep conditioner.
You could also add just a little protein to your routine as needed to aid in strengthening your hair. Bleached hair needs moisture for sure, but you have to keep a balance with moisture and protein for it be in ideal shape. I like the Loreal Total Repair multi-use balm, it's not super protein heavy so overload isn't a huge concern but it still helps with maintaining and improving strength which bleached hair needs. You can use it as a leave in, a mask, a pre-poo, etc. I usually use it on my ends that have remaining damage from bleach and color and it leaves them super soft.
I used Strawberry Leopard dyes Lavender Fog, and Lilac Glow, and Lime Crime Unicorn Hair dye in Dirty Mermaid. Here's a link to the human hair wig I used. It is really inexpensive compared to most other human hair wigs so it's a steal if you want to try something like this yourself.
Temp color hair wax works great and rinses out with warm water. SUNSENT Temporary Hair Color Wax Amazon
This is the kind that I have used, but only to put streaks in the hair as decorative accents. It is essentially crayons for your hair, it has an oily/waxy texture. It might rub off on your pillowcase a bit at night, use an old one, but it would probably still be easier to refrain from washing and retouch in the morning than to totally reapply it every day. If you wanted to do your whole head with this stuff, it would take forever.
I don't have any experience with other types of hair chalk, but I see there is a hair chalk "comb" that makes it easier to apply to your whole head.

I brought from Amazon for less than £9! It was a spot on colour match which is hard as my hair is a bright copper colour. It was super thick and beautiful quality! I actually brought one from Amazon for £9! I have copper coloured hair and was gobsmacked when this came and was better quality than I imagine, and the colour match was spot on!
If you go to the comment section, and click “Most Recent”, you’ll see my review (CopperTwist is my name) with my photo of what it looks like in

Whenever I hear the woes of others who have green, I have to recommend this dye (warning, Amazon link.)
I have used it many times, and it lasts soo long if you only wash it once or twice a week.
Don’t know what it would look like over the blue, though. That dye faded to the olive side of green for me but that was over hair that was bleached to a light yellow.
Goody makes these little corkscrew double helix looking hair pins that literally twist into a bun to hold it.
They're called spin pins
i love this color x-change color remover . its really cheap and vitamin c based i believe. its really cheap, if you have longer hair you might need more packs + its comes with a hair mask. i used it on my hair when it had this wella blue that turned green and it came off! hope this helps.

Here is a slightly bad quality webcam photo of the bottom of my hair for reference. The top roots are pretty white-yellow so I didn't bother putting them in the photo.
I would actually try a 9G or a mix of a 9N and 9G at a 1:2 ratio (twice as much G than N). Your lengths are so silvery that 9N alone may still leave you pretty icy or even give you something kind of muddy. You need to add more golden tones in order for it reach a similar shade of blonde as the top.
You could also try a color depositing conditioner or gloss instead of outright dye too. The Loreal gloss in Honey might be a good choice, or the Moroccan Oil mask in Champagne if you can find the single-use packets somewhere. I've used the Loreal glosses before in other shades and they're really quite good if you leave it in for a good 20-30 minutes.
Okay, I don't know if this is the same thing, but when I use this product it feels like the same thing to me and it makes my hair so freaking soft haha
BAKING SODA. Seriously, on a budget it is amazing. Also, lots of shampoos have tons of crap in them that you really dont need. Check it out! Simple, easy, and your hair will feel great. I've been using this kind of concoction for about 3 weeks now. Its different but it works!
That color is the ceramic coating. . .if that appears to be rubbed off on any part of the plates, that's most likely your culprit.
The uneven heat will create an unequal amount of drag. . .so as you pull it through your hair it will kinda tug the cuticle and make it look frizzy/kinky/awful when you're finished.
Check out this article to see if you need to send it in to the manufacturer.
Okay, so I've been growing my hair out for about 3 years now and I'm so incredibly bored with it. Its baby fine and gets greasy incredibly fast, I don't like to use heat often, it's so fragile already I'm afraid of breaking it more. The only styling products I use are sea salt spray, dry shampoo and sometimes argan oil to tame the fuzzies. I should also note the photos are day 2 hair after being up in a bun all day so it looks more voluminous than it actually is.
Every stylist I go to tells me I need to have some layers in my hair even though I specifically ask for it to be blunt and all one length(I thought layers are a no no for him hair as it seems to make mine look more wispy).
I want to chop it shorter like this https://www.instagram.com/p/-Hre3cjWu8/
Or keep the length and add some rose gold peachy blayage similar to this this http://pinterest.com/pin/AxIfkAAQgJMFZ8goa38AAAA/?s=3&m=keep

Yes that wispy look is what I was going for because it helps it look more natural. I’ve noticed when people wear their laces, they like to lay the baby hairs down with gel and that’s fine and all but this is what works for me. What’s also nice about this lace front is that it comes pre-plucked so you you just need to do a little more plucking and widening up the part on the scalp. That helps it look more natural as well! 😄
Thanks!

I highly recommend you make your purchase at folica.com (really good prices) - one of the clipless curling irons would probably be a great purchase for her: http://www.folica.com/tools/curling-irons/clipless-curling-irons
Read up on the reviews there - lots of women will tell their hair type and what worked for them - some show pictures of videos of the results. The product descriptions often have stylist demonstrations and how to's with suggested products to use with the tool.
What would be a nice gift would be a curling iron and some product to help her achieve a look that holds - especially since she has very straight hair (it might be harder to hold a curl).
Edit: Also, before you make a purchase make sure you look up coupon codes. I use Retail Me Not anytime I am shopping online - most stores have their online codes on there http://www.retailmenot.com/view/folica.com
Eep, I buy mine from the indian grocers. I've heard good things from LUSH though - although I have not tried that brand. Here's the basic instructions.
This is the brand I usually use. There are a lot of products out there that add things to the henna powder like conditioners, but I prefer to add my own so I just get plain henna powder.
You would look AMAZING with front bangs and a bit of curl in the length. You have great shine and thickness to your hair. All the styling that would be required is a roundbrush or flat iron on the bangs and maybe putting the rest in a loose bun at night to give it some curl.
Something like this: http://weheartit.com/entry/19843078
Hopefully you can see this link but yeah, I don't mind the roots since this look has dark roots and I have dark hair. I don't think she will touch my roots much from their original color. Then again I am super new to this so...
It's definitely light enough for platinum but having been bleached so much in a single go and starting from black is likely why your color is still very yellow. Your starting color, natural color included, determines how cool your blonde can get a lot of times. And IME if you go a little too hard on the bleach your hair may need a few days before it'll let toner stick to it well
In your case you may just need a richer toner to deposit a lot more pigment. A more ash, blue, or silver toner would probably work best to get you a nice icy color. You could try something like Chi's 10S dye, or Clairol's 10V with double the amount of a 10vol developer and rinse it out after about 15min. So if you use 20 grams of the color you'd use 40 grams of the developer. Chi's would probably be really good on you because it's very silvery and cool and will tackle that yellow great, I'd try that one first. If it comes out a little grey-silver just give it a few shampoos and it'll brighten up fairly quickly.
You're also going to need a purple shampoo/conditioner moving forward to help maintain. I highly recommend Loreal's EverPure duo, they're the best I've used to keep my platinum nice and icy-white.
It'll be fine, it's just really dried out now. You most likely haven't fried it, stuff like the baking soda and vitamin c method won't dramatically damage your hair but they do make it insanely dry.
Get your hair damp and apply a good deep conditioner. I like the Curlsmith Deep Quencher and the Redken All Soft Mega [Mask Cap](amazon.com/Redken-Soft-Mega-Recovery-Tissue/dp/B0796T6R35/ref=sr_1_12?dchild=1&keywords=redken+all+soft&qid=1629054901&sr=8-12), or any of the All Soft treatments or leave-ins.
I use the mask cap after I do my monthly root bleach and my hair stays so so soft.
I was wrong, it's a waver from Tigi Bed Head. I can't find the one I have at Walmart but amazon has it: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CSZBWGQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_J2PQZQ6DFZYYYN3YGQ7X
They have a bunch of others and I'm sure they work great too! It's super easy to use and makes really nice beachy waves that don't get frizzy, I love it!
What about this in the auburn 6ir? https://www.sallybeauty.com/hair-color/shop-by-type/hair-color-kits/intensive-shine-hair-color-kit/ION204.html
My sallys has been out of so many copper colors lately because of the pandemic I guess. (Just a heads up).
This is a pretty semi permanent that might work too. I use it to refresh my color. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004M5SWHW/ref=cm_sw_r_apanp_pxWG4wpsZlVch
Switch to a regular color safe shampoo and try Bold Uniq purple mask mixed in with your conditioner instead!!! It’s SUPER pigmented (think so purple it’s almost blue) so you could definitely get away with diluting it and one jar will probably last you a pretty decent amount of time, so worth the price.bold uniq toning mask amazon
I last used this Revlon Dark Chocolate Brown https://www.amazon.com/Revlon-Colorsilk-Luminista-Haircolor-Chocolate/dp/B00AZIYX2Iwhich I thought might be close but came out more red and brassy than I thought. Maybe it was too light for my natural dark brown hair. I've been using Matrix blue shampoo and it's helped a bit with the redness. I dyed my hair about a month ago and haven't stopped using the shampoo yet. Do I need to stop using the shampoo for a while before I dye again?
If you get one of those mirrors you can attach to the walk that come out on like a metal accordion thing. It helps. That's super interesting, my first instinct is to tell you that due to the mineral smell, maybe you need to use it more frequently to loosen up the buildup? But that's purely conjecture, maybe reach out to Malibu C and see what they recommend in that instance.
This is the water filter I use, I don't have blonde hair but do have crazy amounts of iron in my well water. This filter made my hair more manageable and even stopped the iron staining in my bathtub, so I'm a big fan.
also I have personally used this one, and it's not bleach-based and stinks a little bit, but it does a really good job. I used it on a friend who had permanent box dye in her hair and it pulled that out.

Sorry! I didn’t notice you were in the UK! I actually found it on the Amazon UK site too. I hope it’s helpful for you! https://www.amazon.co.uk/Celeb-Luxury-Permanent-Colourwash-Shampoo/dp/B01JQWSF8G/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=celeb+luxury+gem+lites&qid=1620929383&sprefix=celeb+luxury&sr=8-3
Did you try bleaching it yourself? I mean maybe your hair is pretty hard to lift, but before I go to black box dye I would try to bleach it myself.
Last time I bleached my hair I used the following products
Just to let you know now that you've used sign in your hair is no longer virgin 🥳 BUT even if it was It's not uncommon to add a tone to cancel out unwanted brassiness. If your hair is the orangier side of brassy or yellow and what's your final goal is what we need to know for our next step. My favorite product is fanola purple cancels out yellow toned brass orange cancels out orangier tones. I've been using the Espresso Copper conditioner every couple of washes and love it. My red stays looking like flames with it and it's very orange-gold rather than just orange or reddish.
Steer clear of Garnier's Copper mask though, it works but it's so subtle it doesn't do much for vibrant hues.
