Amazon has them between $9 and $20. This one is $14 and comes with replacement nibs.
I bought a set of wireless earbuds and put the phone on the ground near me. It always fell out of my pocket.
Edit: I bought these, cheap and work perfectly -

What the hell is up with all these referral links? Just link to the damn Amazon page already.

I got [2-Pack] Anker PowerLine+ USB C to USB A Fast Charging Cable, for Samsung Galaxy Note 8 / S8 / S8+ / S9, MacBook, Sony XZ, LG V20 / G5 / G6, HTC 10, Xiaomi 5 and More (6ft) (Gray) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07214QNQX/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_tvkPAb0K2FJ90 and they work fine. Been using anker products for a few years and never had any issues.
They aren't in the Galaxy App Store yet but can be downloaded here: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/samsung-electronics-co-ltd/samsung-clockface/clockface-1-0-04-9-release/clockface-1-0-04-9-android-apk-download/

I just got my Note 8 a couple days ago, switching from iPhone 7 Plus. Honestly what I was most excited about is a headphone jack lol. I'm an audiophile, and the battery life (which is actually pretty good) doesn't bug me since I'm almost always wired up all around with my headphones and amp anyway, I just carry around external batteries. I avoided the V30 due to screen issues and general distrust of LG's reputation.
While I definitely miss iMessage, I've found it can be replaced with Facebook Messenger and Textra pretty well. Facebook makes a version of Messenger called Messenger Lite that totally cuts out the bloat from the main app and just leaves you with a simple messaging app that works really well. If you want to sync texts, you can always try Pushbullet.
My main reason for switching was the headphone jack, expandable storage (320 gigs as of now), the display, and S Pen. It just seemed like the all around best value for a phone, especially with the Samsung Pay promotion going on that gives you a $250 gift card.
Oh, and iOS has become very buggy for me as of late. 11.1 fixed a lot of my issues but it still was awful on my 7+'s battery. Shouldn't have to wait months for an actually working version of the OS anyway. I'm fine with Sammy taking their time to get it right rather than just pushing it out with bugs galore.
I use my spare for gaming. I have all N64 games on there. With DeX, paired with this: https://www.amazon.com/Digital-Multiport-Adapter-Nintendo-Portable/dp/B07JK9DFKH
and a USB N64 controller. I output through HDMI and viola, portable N64. (My screen is broken)
Direct link to the app. (I have no connection to the developer, I just thought this was especially cool for Note owners).
One tip I found is that you can go into the app's settings and turn on the mode to only allow active pen input. This will prevent you from accidentally touching the screen with your hand and triggering input while writing with the Spen.
Anker. I have a 3 foot cord in my work truck and 2 in my wife's van. I have two 6 foot cords in the living room and one in the bedroom. Never an issue with fraying, pinching or slow charging. On Amazon it's like $14 for two 6 foot cords.
Correction: $12.99 for 2 in red or gray
Anker [2-Pack, 6ft] Powerline+ USB-C to USB-A, Double-Braided Nylon Fast Charging Cable, for Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+/S8/S8+/Note 8, MacBook, LG V20/G5/G6, and More (Red) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071G5YCS6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_okFeCbY16FD43
Install the app called SamTweak2. This app allows you to disable the Max Volume Warning, disable the Max Brightness Warning, set Navbar Color to Black and more. Just use adb to enable it.
I stumbled upon a design I really liked and I turned it into a few wallpapers that look really good on our Note 8's screen. I was quite happy with how they turned out, so I'd like to share them with you :).
Download the full-res pictures here: https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipP05aGaI9wCI9I7e1-sWQAlwP7FjiTGYkf9xAWpZabHMco__AfsitVWaAsOaxBHjg?key=RWZ3VlBIM0F6VmZYbzlDNFFoOFZibzg3cW9oMnRn

(The original design was from a vector library that I have a full-use license for.)
I used this for a while, but ended up finding that the Join App did most of the things I wanted access to. I highly recommend trying it out as a lightweight option for your phone to text from desktop.
I have the Dex Station. I thoroughly tested it and used it a lot. It can be really nice, but I personally don't need it. Most of the time it's better to just use the phone or my laptop.
Most apps just work fine and you can use DeX MAX to get most of your apps. Everything works fine. So after all it's a cool idea and implement nicely.
There are some drawbacks:
Most negative stuff is already fixed with the Dex pad. I just have the Dex station, so I can't use it to draw like on the Dex pad.
PS: if you used any APKs or Substratum stuff to hide the navbar then you'll have a very bad time
Hiding the Navbar will hide the task bar on the bottom of the screen, so it will be very difficult to use Dex
The S8 did have this option at first, but a later update a few months after it's release removed the Black Navigation bar with the current lighter colored options.
Reason was due to Pixel Degradation reasons. When these AMOLED screens show black, it'll simply shut down those pixels. What happens is, if your navigation bar was always showing and it's always at black... it'll cause the pixels on the navigation bar to not be used while the rest of the pixels on the rest of the screen to be used constantly. Over time, you'll notice a difference between the pixels on both areas, with parts of the screen appearing lighter than the other.
As such, this change carried itself over to the Note8 too.
If you still want to change to black, you'll have to do it through some outside means.
I believe users have had success through this method: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8/themes/change-navigation-bar-colors-t3622626
You could always give this app a try first too: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vietbm.tools.s8navigation&hl=en
Looks like on the Samsung store on Amazon it's $19.74.
edit: Amazon Warehouse Deals (returned ones) has them at $14.16 and $14.96 too. But yeah looks like those have options to have them sold and shipped by amazon.com as the seller.
Yes, it works. You just need to download AirBattery to enable Automatic Ear Detection, and of course, check the battery of the AirPods.

And yeah, they are good for calls.
I'm using an app called Moonlight streaming. It only works if you have a PC with an Nvidia graphics card...but it works pretty well! There is a tiny bit of delay, but not bad for slower games, such as no man's sky =) although I could get the PS4 controller paired, there was a noticable delat with the controller and the phone. I had this set up on my s7 and with a cable, there was no lag...so I just need to figure that out.
It's gotta be one of two things: Faulty battery or a rogue app(s).
Have you used any other battery tracking app? I don't know what the best one is, but so far I'm liking Accubattery. I'm not sure how accurate it is, but it should at least give you some idea as to what is running, when it's running, and what your battery "health," is.
If someone has a better app, please chime in.
Anyway - This app has a battery usage area that, when you give it the permissions, will show you what apps are using your battery, and how much they've used so far. At the very least this should help you figure out if there is an app, or multiple apps, that are running rogue and killing your battery.
If there aren't any, you might just have a bad battery. If that's the case, an RMA is your best option, I think.
Maybe a bit biased cause I'm the developer but my game Scribble Racer was mentioned at some places as a game making great use of the S Pen in the past.
I just launched its sequel Scribble Racer 2 in July.
Was about to order one of those 2 days ago, noticed on Amazon a new version was available for pre-order.
Official release date is tomorrow. Status is preparing for shipment. Looking forward to trying it out.
When one of those full-screen ads opens up, go to the task switcher, long-press on the app's icon (in the title bar) and then click on the little "i" symbol. It'll tell you which app it is and let you uninstall it.
If that doesn't work, try something like this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.appspot.swisscodemonkeys.detector
Failing that, when you next see an ad, go into Developer Options > Running Services
and look at the apps which are running. You could narrow down the list of culprits that way.
I'm pretty certain these ads are being pushed by an app which was updated to include invasive adware. Could be a legit app was bought out by assholes like Cheetah Mobile and then infused with adware.
The only phones that have exposed the "third" sensor through the Camera2 API (according to Camera2 Test) are the LG's. The Essential, Note 8, Nokia's, Xiaomi A1, Moto's, all don't. Google Camera requires a lot of different parameters through the Camera2 API to work.
You can also do that using System UI Tuner from the play store.
Still need adb, but it's a nice gui for a ton of little tweaks.

Install this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.adblockplus.adblockplussbrowser&hl=en
Then go to Extensions>Content Blockers and turn it on. You'll notice the loading speed of all pages increasing instantly.
Like Chrome, you'll be able to swipe between tabs by swiping on both the top and bottom bars in Internet.
Holding down on Tabs will instantly create a new tab.
Holding down on Bookmarks lets you add that page to a number of areas.
Holding down on Back (on bottom bar) goes to History.
Secret Mode is your best friend, due to the biometric lock. It also hides completely, including a completely separate Bookmarks and history.
There's a Night Mode you're going to LOVE.
Some sites also has a Reading Mode.

The difference between samsung emojis and every other type is so different it can lead to misinterpreting meaning. Emojis tend to be used to help give emotion to the words being used, if the look of the emoji is off then it can cause a huge misunderstanding.
A good example of a bad one is this one https://emojipedia.org/grimacing-face/
Those akg sounded bad to me and aren't worth $100...more like $15. IDK if it's just me or what but they seem to have little bass? I even compared them with my old samung headphones that came with the older phones and they sounded maybe 5% better.
I'm using Sol Republic's Shadow Wireless buds that sound like godsend compared. They can sound even better once you use Adapt Sound and a little Eq in Samsung Music's settings. They have a 3 star rating on Amazon because they are wireless buds but don't stay on the neck while running (a problem for the target audience of wireless buds). It's not due to the sound.
Look out for the black and grey version of it. It's usually like $10 cheaper.
The best case in my opinion is this one by Urban Armor Gear. They're very rugged and barely make the phone thicker. I've used them on all my phones. My note 3 from 2013, my S7Edge, and now my Note 8. Never had any issues with them breaking or colors changing over time.
As far as glass screen protectors this one from amazon is pretty good. It even comes with a plastic guide so the protector gets perfectly aligned. The only problem is I can't use the screen protector and my UAG case at the same time. So I'm just using the UAG case by itself because that seems more substantial than just the screen protector.
I use edge gestures
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ss.edgegestures
Im not sure it works on pie/one ui but its great with the note. It costs a couple bucks but well worth it
Edit: just fyi, not the developer just wanted to share something I use everyday and warn people its not free but cheap and useful
Use Image 2 Wallpaper (or some other image editor) to crop your image before applying the wallpapers. With a 18.5:9 aspect ratio there's no space to move.
The app also allows you to apply some colour and blur effects. For example having an undersaturated and blurred image turning into a clear one when you unlock the phone looks nice IMO.
I've always used Moon+ Reader and it's awesome. I like the shelf and widget layouts, dark theme, and use the Text to speech feature a lot. =]
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.flyersoft.moonreader&hl=en\_US
I use J Touch with my N8. It's a brilliant app. Configure it all and you'll have full screen all the time without needing to slide up the nav bar. Enjoy while it is free... Should be stock in Samsung rom.
Slide left on the tiny circle = back. Slide right shifts to the last used app... A tap goes back home. Super useful, especially when in a hurry or driving.
its android, lots of awesome non root tweaks can help you achieve things like this...
I accomplish this with this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=in.blogspot.anselmbros.torchie&hl=en
just press both vol buttons simultaneously and the light toggles. Great little app. There's another one called power button flashlight, which does the same thing, only when you triple press the power button. I use the double tap power to camera shortcut though, so I dropped that one since it would missfire if my rhythm was off.
Both work whether the phone is locked/unlocked and/or screen on/off. Hopefully you find one of those or at least this path to a solution useful.
Nope, you can't change this by default means.

great for line of sight and silent communications. Use it in the pub or in meetings or with your partner to talk around the kids without them noticing...
Liking the minimalist amoled look a lot!
Also, using Screener for the presentation with the Note 8 template if you'd like to frame your own screenshot!+
Edit: Here is a live view

I love my Anker Soundbuds. Sound great and can't beat the price. From the research I did, these were the best cheap option
I got my Note 8 from Amazon, refurbished, $420
I don't see how anyone could tell that it wasn't absolutely brand new, pristine right out of the box. Amazon has 90 day return policy.
Would buy again.
I'm going to suggest something different from AccuBattery because I've never had good results from it.
Get Phone Info: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.vndnguyen.phoneinfo
It will tell you when your phone was manufactured and how many discharge cycles are in the battery. This gives you some idea the age/health of the battery.
My Note 8 is from Nov 2017, I bought it second hand and it has around 560 discharge cycles and I can get 9-10 hrs of medium-heavy use out of it. YouTube, Reddit, and general internet browsing. Usually it's 4-6hrs SOT. But this is a but subjective to what you think is heavy use. Games are really hard on your battery so if you are going to game do it plugged in.
Things I have done to make the battery life better. * Remove everything Bixby relalted with ADB. There are tutorials out there. * Also removed some of the other bloatware with ADB * Removed the Facebook app that comes on the phone with ADB and now use the Lite version of both messager and the regular app. * I use the built in dark themes of every app possible. This is debated as to whether it actually saves battery but I prefer the dark themes anyway. * I run with the battery optimized mode on all the time. * Auto screen brightness * WiFi, Bluetooth, Location are always on * My phone is also usually always plugged in over night.
Some screenshots of my battery use over the last few months. The 30hr ones are from the holidays where I wasn't traveling for work as much so I was using my laptop/computer most of the time and there are nights in the middle were I was sleeping. I was trying for those times.
Assign it to Google Assistant or Google Voice Search, or both using this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dynalogix.voicesearchdirect

I don't know why people are saying Nova. That's only for the home screen. I use one plus gestures which lets you hide (and even toggle when you want) the nav bar and let's you set gestures. You have to enable it via adb with a computer, but it provides instructions and is pretty straight forward. It won't appear when you swipe up though =)
there is a setting in autonotification to disable persistent notifications in it. it's pretty straightforward after you download it.
Don't know why this guy is getting downvoted but this is app is how I did it on my S9 and it was very easy.
Download the aforementioned app themeGalaxy: (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=project.vivid.themesamgalaxy)
Download and extract the Product Sans ttf on your device from the following link: https://fontmeme.com/fonts/product-sans-font/
Open the themeGalaxy app and go through any tutorial stuff. After that swipe in from the right and on the side menu bar under 'Extra' you should see the option to 'Build Custom font from .ttf' Select that.
Enter a random font name (I just chose ProductSans) and then tick the box that says 'Pick .ttf file manually' and choose the Product Sans ttf file you downloaded and extracted in step 2.
Click the big green 'Build' button and install the apk the app creates thereafter.
You should now see the Product Sans font under Settings > Display > Font and screen zoom > Font style
If it's not there restart the device and it should now be present.
Process seems kinda long in writing but genuinely only takes 2 minutes if you know what your doing. Hope that helps.
In addition to what other guy said, check out this app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.urysoft.pixelfilter) which really does turn off every second (or every third, or anything else you want) pixel and see how different it is to setting lower resolution. You can see the turned off pixels even if they are small
GIF doesn't properly catch the animation speed, which is much smoother IRL and can be adjusted. Can also adjust hex resolution and there is a choice of 6 or so effects. Doesn't even use 1% of daily battery in my stats. Play Store Link
Theme is Samsung theme store: Britzer. A nice clean black and blue theme.
You certainly can, you're going to need a icon pack and a custom widget such as kwgt or Zooper widget, I haven't used them in a while and not sure of Zooper is still available since I couldn't find it, but you can do pretty great widgets with kwgt.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.kustom.widget
Download and set up substratum
Download Samsung sans
Download status bars for Samsung substratum theme
Apply overlays
Reboot for other non don't overlays
So you either use pie control which is available on the play store. Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jun.ace.piecontrol&hl=en_GB&referrer=utm_source%3Dgoogle%26utm_medium%3Dorganic%26utm_term%3Dpie+control+play+store&pcampaignid=APPU_1_U0YgWqWwM-PQgAaUmY3wDQ
Or use all in one gestures it's what I use works really well swipe up for home, swipe bottom left corner for back and swipe bottom right for recent apps. Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phoenixstudios.aiogestures&hl=en_GB&referrer=utm_source%3Dgoogle%26utm_medium%3Dorganic%26utm_term%3Dall+in+one+gestures&pcampaignid=APPU_1_iUUgWsCUNobcgAbg6Y64DQ
if you are talking about nav bar then yes they used to have black color before but due to some burn-in issues they had to remove it but you can get it via this app

Check Lecture Notes. It has a steeper learning curve, but man this app has options! And one thing they do very well: every time you switch away it autosaves (on top of the periodic autosave).
Amongst the many things I like about LN:
I would set aside a day or two to discover all the app, but once you set it up the way you like it you won't want to use any other note taking app
its android, lots of awesome non root tweaks can help you achieve things like this...

If you want the animation for this... that won't be possible due to this not being an official feature so those elements that should be animated can't be touched by 3rd party apps.
But for the simple effect of swiping up to go home, yes, that's possible through Gesture Apps.
For example: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phoenixstudios.aiogestures&hl=en
See that first photo? The example there is swiping from the bottom edge to go Home.
For apps that are purchased, I've always just used this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.azefsw.purchasedapps&hl=en
But for apps that have been previously downloaded, I remember the Play Store having a section for that.
Play Store > My Apps & Games
Then the Library tab will have all apps you've previously installed.
Screen brightness is definitely a big one. I've never had problems with amoled screens but I usually have mine lower than 50% even when outside.

I plan to get the Monarch case as well but just in case it's not released in time or i don't want to shell out $60 immediately, these will do the job at least temporarily.
Once you install it you have to go into the add-on and select one of the 9 "windows".
Definitely the lumion. I was surprised with the quality because I've never heard of the brand before. Usually go with spigen but couldn't pass up the cheap price with the slick deals codes.
This is the link for Amazon. Galaxy Note 8 Case, (Huey - Black) Ultra Slim Protective Armor Defender TPU Cover (Perfect Fit Flexible Lightweight) Anti-Slip Bumper for Samsung Phone Mobile Accessories - 2017 by Lumion https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074T4LVJG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_9k0Qzb2FXJ0HN
For those looking at a DEX, there's this alternative on Amazon that works pretty well for a fraction of the price. It's a little bit more portable as well. The newer DEX is pretty nice as well though.
I use this
Check out "A Light: 1-Click Flashlight" - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=today.app.a.alight
It's simple light weight no ads and no weird permissions no data connection. And it buzzes when you activate and deactivate so the same button can be used as a toggle and if you accidentally press it you can feel it
I wish there was a command for "toggle flashlight" but there apparently isn't. Only "turn on light" and "turn off light"
So it's kinda lame in that if you set it to a command it will only turn on the flashlight and if you press it again it'll just try the same command again. So the app works in place of a toggle command.
Galaxies have a really cool permission monitoring system too so you can tell if the app auto starts or something sketchy. It'll warn you
https://s.amsu.ng/EbRwuTJfu2MN
So there's no risk that it's just randomly turning on and doing something bad. It doesn't use data anyway so it's pretty 100 percent safe
I use edge gestures
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ss.edgegestures
Im not sure it works on pie/one ui but its great with the note 8. It costs a couple bucks but its worth it
So I love this app and have had it for awhile. I just started up classes again and one of my buddies put me on to photomath. Between the two apps my math is on point. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microblink.photomath&hl=en_US
Bouncer lets you manage app permissions.
I'm not sure these are underdog since lots of people use them but Automate or Tasker for any process you wish to automate. Both are really good but you need to root your phone for some features.
For me, Note 8 already possesses good system of apps/features with S-pen so it just depends how people use them.
Try Edge Gestures, in addition to the basic function of swipe from left edge for back, it gives you a massive amount of control, but very easy to set up, allows for other gestures like double tap of left/right/bottom edge, tap and hold, slide up/down for volume and etc. Allows for customization of swiping area, triggering sensitivity, and app blacklists. It doesn't abuse permissions either, unlike some other gesture apps.
I am always reachable via hangouts / messenger / etc. When I am working (home office, computer related desk work) my phone reads out the first sentences of incoming messages. Then I can decide when I respond. If it's urgent, I interrupt what I am doing. If it can wait I don't get distracted.
When I am away from home, my phone doesn't read out the messages (unless I have headphones on), but I have a smartwatch and I can still see them right away. Same story.
A phone call is blind, the caller controls and decides its urgency.
If the phone had something like old answering machines had, the caller can start to talk, and you decide if you pick it up or not. BTW I use this app for readouts.
If you just need dark color, try samsung theme store
If you need some beautiful icons including status, settings, try substratum for samsung, you need buy add-on and some themes.
If you have time, you can try themegalaxy, download from GP https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=project.vivid.themesamgalaxy&hl=en
This app provides some dark variants, you can add the icon pack, you can adjust the color whatever you want, you can add the background for dial pad, contact.
You could solve it by using another Reddit app. There are many unofficial clients on the Play Store and all of them are better than the official Reddit app. I like this one
Zedge has a nice selection. I've used them before.
Now I just cut my own and use them. They're usually just video game/movie quotes I set for different contacts.
If anyone is curious, I use this site to rip the audio from the YouTube video and then use Ringtone Maker - MP3 Cutter to cut it down and save it. I've probably made over 300+ so far.

"Hey, is that the new iPhone X? You got it already?"
"Hahaha, yep! Oh wait, no... hold on, it's still missing something."
Turn on that app.
"Okay, there we go. Yep, it's an iPhone X now."
Today Weather Is the only Weather app I will use (using Dark Sky as a source). Lots of good widgets too
Yes, but not by default.
You'll have to download a 3rd party app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gmd.spentoolbox&hl=en
Since the SPen SDK allows apps to respond to when the SPen is removed from the silo, that app uses it to immediately launch an app or shortcut that you select.
But, don't forget to go to SPen Settings to set the default Remove SPen action to Do Nothing, or it'll activate on top of OneNote.
Honestly, I feel that the Home Button is good where it's currently at, because it allows perfect reach with one-hand when I use the phone with either left or right hand. If it was to only one side, it'll make the other hand harder to reach for it.
Not much problems with the fingerprint scanner too when I use phone with left hand. When I'm on left hand, thumb is placed where the Bixby Button is, left index can reach fingerprint scanner easily, and thumb can swipe down to the Home Button easily too.
But, that's just me. Perhaps you only hold your phone with right hand and have smaller hands too...
Sadly, you can't relocate the navigation bar or the Pressure-Sensitive part of the screen.
You have only two options:
1) Go to Settings>Accessibility>Dexterity and Interaction>Assistant Menu
This will create a customizable floating bubble that you can place where ever you want on the screen. So tapping it will open up the Menu you for you to pick which action you want to do. TIP: If you remove all actions but one, such as Home Button, then tapping that button will perform that action immediately.
2) You'll have to download a 3rd party app like: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ss.edgegestures&hl=en
Then set it up on the right side so you can have it function as a Home Button.
Don't think you will find anything better then Relay for reddit. There is both a free, and Pro version. It seriously is one of the best apps out there.
One of the first apps I'll install on my Note8.
Pretty much going to use Samsung Notes only for Pinned Memos and Screen Off Memos.
As for REAL work, it'll all be on S-Note. Looking forward to using Action Memo again too, but my main interest is still the Notebook capabilities of S-Note.
Though I'm still deciding if I should install the version from apkmirrordownload or the one from PlayStore.
Nope, not possible by default means.
Originally, when the S8 first came out, you could change it to be completely black, white, and some other colors.
But Samsung later removed those darker colors for the paler pastel ones we have now.
If you still want to change to black or opaque, you'll have to do it through some outside means.
I believe users have had success through this method: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8/themes/change-navigation-bar-colors-t3622626
You could always give this app a try first too: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vietbm.tools.s8navigation&hl=en
Here is an APK for anyone who can't find it in the Galaxy Store.
Of course!
Download this app called "One Hand Operation+" by Samsung and adjust the settings how you want to!
I use it to navigate my phone in just one swipe!
This is how I've configured mine: https://imgur.com/a/zA8Vl7u
It should be available again if you are on the latest 3.5.053. If you are and it isn't showing up just do a force close of the app and restart it. It should come back up with the Material Design 2 with an option for dark mode in the menu.
that worked for me.
download that version only and restart phone look in settings in display you will see portrait, slide it to get landscape
i ve got it on my note 8. I downloaded the new samsung experience update here https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/samsung-electronics-co-ltd/samsung-experience-home-touchwiz-home/touchwiz-home-9-0-10-76-release/official-samsung-touchwiz-home-9-0-10-76-android-apk-download/

For everyone asking about the clock faces follow the link below. Check my profile for instructions on how to download the APK.
They aren't in the Galaxy App Store yet but can be downloaded here: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/samsung-electronics-co-ltd/samsung-clockface/clockface-1-0-04-9-release/clockface-1-0-04-9-android-apk-download/
How to activate: https://imgur.com/a/VMchPFz
it used to be on the Galaxy Apps store, but it seems as though Samsung removed it. Available on APK Mirror if people want to test https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/samsung-electronics-co-ltd/surroundshot2/surroundshot2-1-4-3-0-release/
It's all based on the underlying hardware when it comes down to it. The FPS is based on how many times the camera sensor is able to process an image per second.
>But how do you make the leap from 240fps to 960fps? The answer lies in the aforementioned DRAM. Normally, the sensor would write all the frames it captures to the image buffer, which would then get saved to the storage as the final output. But when you are capturing 960 frames per second, there is no time to output the files to the image buffer. This is where the DRAM comes in. The sensor temporarily writes all the frames to the super fast DRAM embedded inside the sensor itself, which greatly reduces latency. After that the frames are passed on to the buffer and to the storage to be saved as a file. But because the on-sensor DRAM can only hold so much at a time, the recording rate is limited to one second and, at least on the S9, you can only record in 720p.
Basically, the S9 has extra hardware that can store the images it captures to allow a bigger buffer to achieve higher FPS while recording. This extra hardware is not present on the Note 8 which is why it'll never be possible for the Note 8 to match the FPS of the S9 when it comes to slo mo.
You can already get them for $699 at Best Buy so be happy if you sell it for that much.
I have always used Android File Transfer, since my Nexus 5 days. Works perfectly with the Note8 showing both Phone storage, and SD card storage.
Here's the link
Confirmed working. I turned off the samsung ad blocking and went to:
https://pi-hole.net/pages-to-test-ad-blocking-performance/
Can confirm it passed EVERY test including forbes.com and nytimes.com
I just bought this one last month to replace an old and scarred wet-apply screen protector. It fits wonderfully with the Spigen Liquid Air Armor case. It comes in a 2-pack with an alignment guide.
All these are $5 with code, just make sure select buy from Caseology..not fulfilled by Amazon.
Galaxy Note 8. Links for 1st 2 but they are easy to find.

I bought this from amazon: Fast Wireless Charger Car Mount https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06WD7Z8RN/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_J9YSzbPPZCHJS
Works great. Seems to charge pretty fast and comes with both suction and vent mount. I have a 2013 civic and use the vent mount bc I hate suction ones and feel like it takes up too much space in the wind shield.
I usually prefer magnetic mounts but not many fast charge options on Amazon so I chose this one instead. Only issue I could see is the arms that hold the phone in possibly weakening and breaking. I just looked at mine and unless you have a pretty narrow plug in your cord, it prob won't work for you.
There's a ton of options if you only want the mount without charging capability. Just make sure to look out for the placement of the feet on the bottom since you plan on using the headphone jack.
I have also been wondering this. Currently on my note 3 I use the Spigen magnetic mount and enjoy not having to fight with a mount.
Now I have my note 8 I'm looking forward to using wireless and I know that the magnetic plate will interfere with the charge process. I came across this iOttie however it doesn't support fast charge and its £65 from amazon which is a lot more than I'd be willing to pay. I discovered they have this model coming soon, I think we are both looking for a similar solution. The only other thing that slightly annoys me is that they both use micro USB rather than type C.
Oof, looking at that picture hurt me inside. I too was using the phone naked for a while (I mean goddamn, just look at it), but I have shattered quite a few screens over the years, so I picked up this (https://www.amazon.com/Trianium-Clarium-Resistant-Ergonomic-Shock-Absorbing/dp/B074F4W8SW/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1509123005&sr=8-5&keywords=galaxy+note+8+case) case from Amazon, currently on sale for 8 bucks. Doesn't take away from the beauty of the phone too much.
