also, stock app drawer actually uses a slightly gray (not totally white) background so that would take care of the backgrounds blending in.
FWIW, i downloaded pixel icon pack for free and its pretty nice and has nearly every app I have installed. but i know round icons aren't for everyone.
I use Pixel Icon Pack and it does a good job of keeping all icons circle. If it doesn't have a specific icon for a certain app, it just wraps it in a circle.

Pixel Icon Pack 2 is the one I use, it's simple but clean. Supports 6000+ icons as well so usually there's an icon for every app you have (I think there's only one missing for me).
Yep! About a quarter of the icons became a horrible mess, so I turned to the lovely Pixel icon pack to replace those! Others are the regular round adaptable icons.
Hey! I'm using Nova Launcher with the Pixel Icon Pack.
Basically, I wanted the general look of the Pixel launcher, but still the gestures and customizability of Nova. Also, the clock widget is this Xperia Clock.

Pixel Icon pack is also great. it "forces" the round icons, and has TONS of icons themed. it get constant updates and its Free (seriously, how is this guy making money?)

What happens if you try to edit the icon? Some launchers and icon packs support "icon masking" - I'd wager whatever icon pack you're using or whatever Poco Launcher is doing is to blame. The Sync icon is the same size as other round Pixel Nougat style icons.

It's a holdover from when I made my 6P look more Pixely, but I still like the round icons. The wallpaper is just from the Google Wallpaper app.

Pixel Icon pack doesn't seem to fully work with this launcher. Most of the icons get adapted but some don't (Apps2SD Pro by vickybonicky for example). It's a bit jarring and was a turn off. Hopefully it'll work this time around

You also have to opt into Nova Launcher BETA program. Google it. Then you can have the pill G search icon with the day and date on the right, PLUS you get the force touch thing like it is on the pixel. There is also a full guide to get even the icon spacing, margins and everything like pixel , just google "Make your phone like pixel" you should find it.

Here's the Android icon pack I used
I used Moveable 9 and HotDog to customize the status bar. Android Kit Kat Status Bar's Alkaline battery, and Marshmellow iOS9's Status Bar. Space Potato Salad is my badges. I also have a circle icon mask that I created with the Icon Pack that was ported.
And I used the Pixel Launcher iWidget with a custom image with a longer Google Pill.
Wallpaper is from AR7, in the App Store. And Anchor to place icons anywhere. Hide Icons to hide docked icons.
And to the right is Pullover with a custom grabber image.
Font is Roboto with ClassicLabels.
Get the pixel icon pack from the Google play store and all the icons that would normally be outside the circles are all the same size now and they seem to be updating constantly so most apps have already been modified
Pixel Icon Pack is the best. Tons of icons, clean, consistent and perfectly fits in with Oreo's style. Plus, it's free!

My favourite launcher by far. The search bar is way, way better than Google's and better than Nova's app search at the same time. It's so good it cured me of my theming addiction.

So first of all I know this isn't really a theme like they are usually are on this sub.
I made it because I like the look of the Google Pixel 2 Launcher a lot, but I didn't like the way how I had to achieve this look before, and because I felt they were missing something. Also they either required a different launcher or separate widgets. So I thought it would be cool to make a version that only relies on KLWP and Nova Launcher.

Because I love having options, I added a few of them. They are found as toggles in the "Globals" tab in KLWP.
There are options to disable basically anything in this theme, and other options include stuff like switching wallpaper, switching the Google logo's, and some other small stuff.
I also made a music screen based on the Google play music widget. But you can disable it if you prefer.
Quick note:
This theme was made on a Samsung Galaxy S8 on FHD+ mode. If you are using a different phone or different resolution you might need to rescale items!

This is my current homescreen. Rather boring/normal probably.

I like the Pixel Icon Pack. It has more than 6000 icons, and more importantly even the ones it doesn't have still look good.
I think Pixel UI is petty good with icon masking too.

I'm also running this xposed module, because cm13 doesn't have a headset icon.
The nova settings not easily visible are 45% transparency grey for everything, all text disabled, labs enabled (for weather), swipe down for notifications (root access granted for this to work right), swipe up for app tray, white accents, and animations all set to the slowest speed except for scrolling. You need prime for the gestures, but I don't think any other part costs money or requires the beta.
Hold down the volume button while in nova settings to enable labs.

I know that the play store icon is one of those "pre-formatted icons", when you turn off icons with frames you'll notice that the triangle gets bigger inside of the white frame itself, it's weird I know.
I kind of like that they format all of the icons to make them look consistent, it means that if apps don't support adaptive icons yet, then they can still be consistent.

I had a lot of fun making this. Although it’s simple, for a first timer, I had plenty of trouble figuring KLWP out and making it all work how I wanted. Made everything besides the widget and icons by myself. Unfortunately, the Pixel Icon Pack doesn’t have quite all of my apps, and I couldn’t really figure out how to just use my own icons, so I just used similar looking icons for the apps I was missing.
I have a larger screen(LG V20), so I’m not sure if everything will work quite properly for everyone. Also, don’t mind the top left app drawer. I kinda ran out of space and said fuck it, so it got a little too close to the widget. That’s just my bulk storage of apps I don’t care for though, so it’s not a big deal to me.
