I got my P30 Pro Last week. Amazing phone.
I actually use the stock launcher, because the task manager animations are just so satisfying to use, especially when using gestures.
The themes for emui 9.1 are utter crap, but you can at least convert your old beloved (or newly found) icon packs with the following tool and then use it in the design section of emui to just change to this icon pack. Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teammt.gmanrainy.themestore
Open the hamburger menu and click on the convert option. The app then finds all installed icon packs (e.g. Moku or H2O) and gives you the option to convert them. It's a brilliant function. IMHO.
to be accurate its a stuck pixel, thankfully can sometimes be fixed. you need to run a piece of software that cycles the screen pixels and it can sometimes unstick it
quick look on play store brings up https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zoox.deadpixelfix&hl=en
4* from 13k reviews so might be worth a try
Sure I used app called Intervalometer which can be overlayed over other apps to automatically take picture every 10 seconds in this case.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobilephoton.intervalometer
For the camera app settings.
Using Pro mode I set ISO to 400, Shutter speed to 10s, and manual focus to Infinity, since its hard to focus on stars using autofocus.
Open Intervalometer app and open its overlay. You'll have to give it some permissions first time.
Back in the camera app place the crosshead over shutter button.
Set interval in intervalometer app to something longer then your shutter speed on Pro mode ( I my case I used 11)
Place the phone on tripod or just lean in somewhere stable with sky view.
Start intervalometer and leave it however long you want. You can do math for how long you want your video. Let's say you want 10s video at 30 fps you'll need 300 pictures
In program of your choice create video out of image sequence. In my case I used Adobe premiere. There are many tutorials how to do this.
Fin.
Hope it was comprehensible. English is not my first language
That's ONE way of describing the situation, and a very misleading title. I hope others read this and looked around for other, more balanced articles. 1% based on number of parts. Fine. But over 16% of this phone's production cost is American parts. That's an important difference. There's also discussions about licensing fees, but I don't know how much that costs as a whole.
Disclaimer, I have not yet received my Matebook X Pro yet from Amazon, but I bought an Amazon Basics Laptop sleeve that should be able to easily fit the laptop: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B013TGFJW0/ref=twister_B017DA1C7E?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
The listing says that the internal dimensions of the sleeve are 12.6" x 9.2" and the matebook x pro is around 12" x 8.54", so it should fit comfortably inside the sleeve. I did buy a previous 11" sleeve for the Dell XPS 13, but I hated the keyboard and speakers on the Dell, so I returned the XPS 13, but the sleeve was pretty good.
Yea, ghost data like cache etc. Google is known for eating up that storage so i would suggest that you clear the cache and use apps like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.diskusage so that you can scan the storage and see visually which folders are the biggest.
I use this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.deishelon.lab.huaweithememanager to import the Pixel Cylinder icon pack from the playstore. And use the actual EMUI Themes app to further customize the look by applying a postagestamp icon mask
Someone posted this app here on the Huawei subreddit the other day that did the trick for me. Would give credit but I don't want to go searching for the post.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=systems.maju.darkmode
Use the theme huawei dark emui 9.1 from link bellow, is the only dark theme that worked for me https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=themes.huawei.dark91emui If you dont like the icons you can change them using the app theme editor from the play store
I just discovered the solution. Hallelujah!
Download the Settings Database Editor app on Google Play:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=by4a.setedit22
In the System Table screen, scroll down to the bottom towards the 'T' section and find "Touch Disable Mode 1". Tap on it and change it to 0 to turn it off and hit save.
Above comment would work, but you may not want to block all Android System notifications. I use the an app, which works pretty well.
Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.iboalali.sysnotifsnooze
Maybe this will get your hopes up ;).
I bought it through Amazon
Huawei Mate 9 Pro LON-L29C 6GB / 128GB 5.5-inch 4G LTE Dual SIM FACTORY UNLOCKED - International Stock No Warranty (GOLD) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MU9RKP2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_kjjBqeCrAjpOK
It's a reputable prime seller.
I'm using it on tmobile and it's pretty good.
Try out the "Always on option", it helped me out in similar situation. Go to settings > Wireless & Networks > More > VPN options > Tap on Cog near NordVPN and turn on "Always on VPN". Also, check the battery options, if it is not dropping the connection after not being used.
With this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.deishelon.lab.huaweithememanager you can customize themes to your liking and there are plenty of themes already set up to choose from. With icons, you can get basically get any icon pack regardless if it is made for EMUI or not and set that as the icons. Same for fonts.
I only found this app yesterday, but no joke it has made me fell in love with my p20 pro even more, I will link it below. You can choose stock android themes/icons etc. Love it
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.deishelon.lab.huaweithememanager
Hmmm..... That is a good question. Some of Huawei's handsets do, in fact, use Snapdragon chips. As far as I can tell, it is their lower end handsets such as the Y7 Prime. I also wonder if they are worried the ban will also affect other chinese companies, which often use Qualcomm chips as well.
Here it is: https://www.gsmarena.com/huawei_p30_pro-review-1910p2.php
"By the way, the selfie shooter appears to be centered but it isn't, and you can tell if you look closer. The camera is about 1 or 2 mm to the left side, so if imbalances bother you, consider yourself warned."
A few sites (https://www.gsmarena.com/huawei_honor_10-9157.php, https://www.uswitch.com/mobiles/reviews/honor-10-review/) state that it does have Gorilla Glass but that the version is unspecified. I can't find anything official one way or the other.
Honestly I try to keep my keys away from it - why tempt fate?
The phone does comes with a TPU case (a rubber, transparent gel-like case) and a pre-fitted screen protector (not the type intended to protect it during transit and manufacturing, but an actual long-term-use screen protector).
Go to this site, scroll down and download Service Core and Services Framework Proxy.
When you installed both APKs, go in the microG settings that you just installed, enable Device Registration, Cloud Messaging and SafetyNet. Make sure that under Cloud Messaging - - > three dots - - - > "confirm new apps" is turned off. This way every app registers automatically and you don't have to enable it manually.
After that, go back to the main menu screen and click on the top setting that should be called "self check" or something similar (I only have the app in German so I don't know the real translation). Make sure that all these boxes are checked.
Retstart the device and then maybe you have to reinstall the apps you still don't get notifications from.
Sometimes the notifications are very delayed (up to 30 minutes), but it is better than nothing I guess. It can also happen that an app doesn't work at all. If that happens there is sadly now way to fix this.
I hope this helped.
If your phone is not Mate 10 and you don't want to switch to it, you can consider a screen mirroring and controlling program - ApowerMirror, Android 5.0 and later mobile are supported.
Hi there thanks, I went ahead and ordered the Honor 8 from Amazon I got it for $318 and free shipping
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M6X8SDM/ref=s9u_simh_gw_i1?th=1
^ its the 64GB sapphire blue I ordered from the seller "Lifeline" cause they have 99% positive review from over 3K reviews in 12 months it looked like the safest bet plus its also fulfilled by Amazon so yeah.
The iphone 6s my friend wants me to buy is a certified refurbished for the same price as a new Honor 8. Amazingly he isn't a iphone fan neither does he own one but he absolutely hates Huawei for some reason he says its Chinese trash, he also hates Samsung he complains about bloatware with galaxy phones. He thinks that only Qualcomm makes good chipsets because I am guessing thats all google uses for Nexus or pixel phones. He believes that Huawei cannot be trusted etc
He is my only friend and my best friend as well, he never once tried to give me bad advice in life at all but it seems when it comes to phones he has a special hate with Huawei or any android phone not using stock android for some reason he does certainly have an issue with how powerful China is becoming so that might also have an issue.
I dont trust that refurbished iphone he is suggesting, that battery might be on its way out for all we know. So I went ahead and bought the Honor 8 its really beautiful.
I wonder how beautiful the screen is though, I really like AMOLED screens for it great contrast and popping colors. I wonder how the Honor 8 LCD stacks up in terms of contrast and colors?
On my Nexus 4 the contrast and colors sucked hard
I use SystemUI Tuner by Zachary Wander to hide status bar icons, it works on my P30 Pro running EMUI 10.0.0.178 although it requires initial setup using ADB.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zacharee1.systemuituner
You can, download 'Dark mode' from play store and set to dark. This will change 'system' Dark mode even if the system doesn't support it. Worked on older P30 lite and many other phones so this can't be an exception
Edit: Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=systems.maju.darkmode
It's literally all there. Open the link I posted and I linked to the play store for it.

But here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=emui.en.com.darkemui9
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zacharee1.systemuituner&hl=en
Give this app user rights through adb commands (easy search in Google) and it works great. I hide nfc, localization and alarm icons with it.
The Mate 10 Pro will receive the exact same gesture navigation once EMUI 9 rolls out, which should be very soon.
And, frankly, it's pretty darn buggy if you use a 3rd party laughter and is rather inflexible and glitchy.
I'm using EMUI 9 with said gesture navigation on the Mate 10 Pro already and opted to use Fluid Gesture Navigation instead of the native one - same thing, but much more fluid and flexible.
And you don't have to wait for EMUI 9 to use it, it should work just fine on 8.
I use this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.deishelon.lab.huaweithememanager to import the Pixel Cylinder icon pack from the playstore. And use the actual EMUI Themes app to further customize the look by applying a postagestamp icon mask
You can use an app called Tiles to add more quick settings toggles https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rascarlo.quick.settings.tiles
I'm playing it at 4K, but especially the scene with the water at the beginning, you can see the compression. It settles when there's less movement which is a tale-tale sign of a low video-bitrate. Unfortunately I have only ever worked with Premiere for video editing, so can't speak for other software.
Try downloading https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.sourceforge.opencamera&hl=en and setting the video bitrate to something higher...
Basically, if the tracking comes from the system, you are (nicely said) fucked. Although, if you want to protect yourself a bit and stay incognito while browsing, then a vpn is the answer. I use NordVPN for that matter, also Duck duck go browser. Good VPNs are paid and may seem pricey but this sub offers some great deals r/vpncoupons.
If you want to get rid of the spying, then the only way is to change the operating system..
I just discovered the solution. Hallelujah!

You can also turn off the battery % and carrier name in the standard Huawei settings.
I've got the Spigen Rugged Armor case and I quite like it.

Not yet.
Beta is going on in China for the P10, that's all the news there is at the moment.
I had the same question a couple of months ago and then found this:
https://www.gsmarena.com/huawei_opens_up_emui_90_beta_program_for_the_p10_mate_9_honor_9_and_more-news-33872.php
I know it is aimed at the Chinese versions, but I am keeping my hopes up :).
well its a side grade
pros:
dual front cams and more resolution front and back, a bigger screen size and more screen to body ratio, slightly faster cpu
cons:
LCD 1080p resolution, no wireless nor quick charging and no - IP68
sidegrades:
rear mounted fingerprint sensor

more in depth

should cost you around ~50$ to "upgrade"
EDIT: added faster cpu
Or you can use newpipe!!! NewPipe (Lightweight YouTube frontend) - https://f-droid.org/app/org.schabi.newpipe
It's open source.. You don't need your Google account (may be considered a plus or a con) can download video... And can read videos on the background...
Are you in US? Some Huawei phones don't support all 4g bands. Check this link and find your device and what bands does your phone support.
https://www.kimovil.com/en/frequency-checker/US/huawei-honor-8x
If the place where you live doesn't cover the 4g bands for your device, your device will never connect to 4g.
Agreed. But like I said it's only one APK. https://opengapps.org/app/ the Google apps package! Then you can use as normal.
As for the US ruining the user experience I couldn't agree more. They say because Huawei spy's for the Chinese government? TWO WORDS...... EDWARD SNOWDEN.... the US government have been spying on global electronic communications for years.
Its OK for them to do it but not for the Chinese. Hypocrisy at its highest level if you ask me.
Go to this site, scroll down and download Service Core and Services Framework Proxy.

P Smart is a part Android Enterprise Recommended program and as such, it must receive regular security updates (max 90 days in between two updates) and at least one version update, all this for three years (I believe). So we will have Android P for sure, and let's hope we get Q :)
Forgot to mention:
Fingerprint reader is the fastest I have ever tried, but I heard that's normal for any Huawei :D
Also, P smart is a part of the Android Enterprise Recommended program, which means it will receive updates fairly often, including the version update too, not only security patches. FYI, on my carrier I'm currnetly on May security patch. Not the best, but hey, it's nice :)
You should just stick the pre-installed apps that you think you won't use particularly, into a folder, onto another page. Out of sight, out of mind. Don't think you could uninstall default apps.
As for music, TubeMate is amazing (http://www.ubergizmo.com/how-to/download-music-youtube-android/, http://tubemate.net/) as I get to download YT videos into music or keep them in video form, and you could use the music player to listen to songs that way, album art included and all.
As for Google, you need the account for practically everything on Android. Not sure what specific issues you have with them.
Download vanced manager and from it you can download yt music, yt vanced and micro g useful for signing in).
Check https://www.reddit.com/r/Vanced/ for detailed info about the app.
For Info we have collected from koodo forums and other posts, both models AL00 (China Version) L29 (Global Version) will work with Koodo, i have added it just now to Kimovil frequency checker.
https://www.kimovil.com/en/frequency-checker/CA/huawei-mate-20x
4G LTE and LTE Advanced, Main band is B4, the others could work only in some regions as Vancouver area. B4 (1700/2100 MHz) (AWS) B2 (1900 MHz) B17 (700 MHz) B5 (850 MHz)
HSPA: B2 (1900 MHz), B5 (850 MHz)
I also typed this to OP Found someone's solution was: "same issue, I fixed it by factory resetting Google drive, the missing copy to clipboard is a Google upgrade not a huawei one" however this person did not elaborate how to do this, I found out that it is going through settings > apps > Google Drive (or just Drive) > storage > clear data. I haven't tried this myself to confirm if it would work for me.
I also found this app that adds copy to clipboard option: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nl.robwu.copylink
By the way, the solution I went with was using the app. It totally worked for me!
Hey i was in the same boat. lost my cable. I bought a 3-pack of Aukey USB-C cables off amazon for $20. Amazing quality and its supercharge compatible. Braided cable and super durable metal ends.
[8-Pack] Mate 10 Pro Screen Protector, J&D Premium HD Clear Film Shield Screen Protector for Huawei Mate 10 Pro - [NOT COMPATIBLE WITH Huawei Mate 10] https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075NZNT73/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_dwI4AbCKY4XA7
I have bought these, they are just like the Huawei OEM factory FILM screen that are preinstalled when you get your Mate 10 pro
There isn't a good tempered glass option out there, I've bought a few.
If you want a factory FILM alternative check out the Amazon link I sent you
I use a Gorillapod as a tripod for my phone and then a little phone adapter that I bought off Amazon that screws onto the Gorillapod. It works great. The Gorillapod is great because you can bend and twist the legs around anything, it's not like a normal tripod. https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B074WFNNKY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_AJOFDb7SGB2SK It works well for DSLR's as well, I use it with my Canon 7d all the time when my regular Manfrotto tripod isn't appropriate.
Got my update too. Absolutely hate the new quick settings look, couldn't find any way to change it so ended up buying Power Shade. Cost £3 or something but whatever. Still not amazing but better than the default.
use this to get the package name
then run this command via adb replacing packagename with the actual app package name for the one you are trying to get rid of
pm uninstall -k --user 0 packagename
download a .ttf file of google's product sans font. use any of the variations you like. i think i have the regular weight. thin one is too small. then download font manager for huawei (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.deishelon.emuifontmanager) and follow instructions 😁
Imei does not inherently indicate ram in any way. However, from your Imei, they can find your model number and attempt to estimate ram from that. The correct ram can be found in an app like AIDA64 or in settings :)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=systems.maju.darkmode turns some apps to their official dark versions. Working for me (P30 Pro) on Instagram, YouTube, play store, photos etc. Hopefully Gmail soon.
IME the dark EMUI themes are never 100%. There are always little annoyances stopping me sticking with them.
I use "Volume Booster" by Goodev:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.goodev.volume.booster&hl=en_GB
It boosts all system volume and will make music sound louder. Be careful though, as boosting too high may damage your hearing or your phone speakers/headphones. Personally I set it to no more than 10% boost which is more than enough to make even the most quiet tracks audible. Also don't forget to set battery optimisation to "don't allow" and disable automatic management of launching/backgrounding for the booster so that it can start as soon as the device boots up and won't be killed off in the background.
I have the same problem on my p30 for Spotify. I use this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.goodev.volume.booster
For now it solves the problem but I really wish an internal update to fix this
I'm running hyperion launcher and removed all apps I don't want with this command through adb:
adb uninstall --user 0 name of the app uninstall
Find the name with this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ubqsoft.sec01
Also rebooted to recovery and cleared cached + cleaning the system with Google files /SD maid.
Great battery, running smooth on emui 10 beta
i think it was the boa screens that were affected
it wasnt every unit
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.andr7e.deviceinfohw&hl=en_GB
use this app to get the screen info
My fix is this
Download Google play services for AR https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.ar.core
& Opt in as a beta Snapchat user then update Snapchat like you would normally from the play store
Those fixed video quality on my p30 pro but latest snap version sometimes loops the audio recorded from the first 10 sec clip on every other clip that follows it..
Good luck
How would the phone have gotten the necessary CTS profile to pass SafetyNet?
What did you use to test?
The vast majority of SafetyNet test apps on the Play Store no longer show correct results, this one still does:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.guenthers.safetynet
HD/HDR in Netflix doesn't require much testing, if your Netflix app doesn't show any HD and HDR lables for content, neither works. And you can always play the test patterns to see the true maximum resolution you can stream at.
What's the most recent Netflix version that still works?
Install this app : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.deishelon.lab.huaweithememanager&hl=fr
It's inside :)
I think SystemUI Tuner should work. You have to activate extra permissions from the PC using ADB and then it should be possible to hide some of the status bar icons.
I hid NFC and Eye Comfort icons using this app on Android 8.0 and it is still hidden after several updates on 9.1, so I guess it should still work on latest version.
Try phone clone https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hicloud.android.clone
Or
Mcbackup, save your contact list then upload to drive then dl on your new phone. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.globile.mycontactbackup
I'm still trying to transfer files from my pixel 2 xl to my new p30 pro but phone clone won't connect..
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hicloud.android.clone
Phone Clone is a convenient data migration application provided by HUAWEI. You can transfer the contacts, SMS,call logs, notes, recordings, calender, photos, music, videos, documents and applications of your old phones to new Huawei smartphone.
Works with IOS.
WhatsApp can be backed up in app
Are you using Google chrome? After the last few updates you can no longer go full screen on Google chrome.
I too watch anime on my phone using chrome. I use an app to hide nav keys and go full screen. This free version will show a red line where you can swipe to view the nav keys. I purchased the full version to get rid of it.
Here it is : GMD Immersive: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gmd.immersive
Powered by Glextor App Manager
Found this option on Google Play, this may work for you?
I tried changing my country to get around this, it didn't work. The play store has an app that works OK.
I cleaned up my status bar using this app.
You don't need root but you do need to grant some permissions using ADB. The app guides you though it, it's pretty easy.
Some icons don't seem to go away, like clock or battery. Still I've hidden some, like nightlight and nfc, which are pretty much on all the time.
Iv got the same problem, I think huawei's headphones are just very quiet.
I use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.goodev.volume.booster
It's a volume boosting app, just be careful if you do use it and don't damage your ears or your device speakers :)
Got a basic alternative that I posted in a comment above if you're interested.
>I've since installed Fluid Navigation Gestures from the Google Play store, and set the 'Swipe Up' action on the bottom right of the screen to 'Open Recents'. It's a dirty workaround, but it's much easier for me to swipe up roughly from the bottom right of the screen than it is to swipe across the fingerprint scanner at exactly the right speed.

The why don't you just download something like the rocker locker app? Maybe I don't experience the problem you have because I have always used this app since switching to android- S7 - S8 - Oneplus 5T and now P20 Pro.
Like you have to make a manual step one way or another right - switch profile, turning on silent mode, or whatever. Just get rocker locker and it will turn down media whenever you turn down ringer. It's been an android staple for ages - surprising you haven't come across it.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tomwandroid.rockerlocker&hl=en_GB
Use this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teammt.gmanrainy.emuitweaker
Then go to where it says hidden apps or something then turn it on, and finally , restart your phone.
Try a theme. There are a lot of good dark themes available. I like to use an app in Playstore called Huawei Themes were you can even customize certain parts of a theme you like into one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.deishelon.lab.huaweithememanager
Hm, did you buy the phone outside of your country? That was a problem for me when I wanted to update my Nova 2i. I then used the Huawei Firmware Finder app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teammt.gmanrainy.huaweifirmwarefinder
long press for home, short press for Back button, swipe left/right to show running apps list
or you could just use virtual navigation bar which allows more functionality
personally i find any navigation in bottom of screen unbearable after months with Edge gestures set to right edge (swipe up to home, left to back, left and right to previous app and long tap for recents), the best 1.5€ spent on app
It's a custom theme, you can download it from here.
The app features a lot of themes for both EMUI 5 and 8. Mine is Dark Mode 2.6. You can find it under the Themes tab inside the app. It also gives you the instructions on how to apply the theme.
Almost every single screen in the system is customized, even the Settings and Dialer system app. Very nice and easy on the eyes.
I think them saying this phone has a gyroscope is straight up false advertising.
Install Sensor Test from the app store and test the gyro. It doesn't matter how you rotate the device, the axes never spike on the graph. I tested against my old Moto G5 which works just fine, and the sensor test behaves as you would expect, with the individual axes spiking as you twist the phone in that direction.
Motion in YouTube 360 and Cardboard is also so laggy it's unusable. It sucks, but I love everything else about this phone, and for the cost I'm willing to go without the functionality. I guess nothing is ever perfect.
Well, you could use Ampere and measure the charging current, I suppose anything above 2A would mean super charging.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gombosdev.ampere
You should be able to find widgets if you long press on the home screen. You should be seeing 3 new options with are Wallpapers, Widgets and Settings. If you press widgets you get to see the available Widgets. If you still don't see any widgets you could for example install this app and see if that widget shows up.
Ok, yes, I believe you are wrong.
Simply unlocking your bootloader should trigger a Safetynet fail on every current Android kernel. You don't actually need to modify anything and you don't need to root. All that matters is that you could have modified the system at some point. See here for example.
Have you checked if your device still passes the Safetynet Test? I'm reasonably certain that it won't, with all of the negative consequences.
I can't speak from experience but going from all the information I found, the standard way of relocking one's bootloader does not work for current Huawei devices: "fastboot oem lock" doesn't do the trick according to just about any ressource on the Internet. So I'd be interested in your tool that supposedly can do this.
Are you talking about the old SRK Tool? Or something else?
If so, does the SRK Tool really still work with Kirin 970 devices, I though development had stopped. Were you really able to unlock your bootloader without requesting an unlock code from Huawei in any way, shape or form? If you still need the unlock code, what on earth is the tool for, you can simply do it via fastboot?
I don't it's possible so you have two possibilities:
1- Record with audio and then mute in a video editor
2- Use a third party app which allows you to mute microphone, I suggest Az Recorder (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hecorat.screenrecorder.free) Hope it helps
You could try using firmware finder, it finds the latest compatible firmware for your device and gives you methods in which you can download and install it.
I have only experience with the 5X. It's made decent because of the fingerprint scanner doubling as another back button and/or notification shade-puller (which you may end up using quite a lot like me). It's rather iOS-gimmicky but a lot of the troubles are solved by using an external launcher like Apex Launcher. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it... except for the fact that it will never get Nougat. I think Huawei won't update it because it's old, but it's perfectly capable of it from what I've read. I've been trying to figure out how to flash Nougat onto the dang thing!
Yes, you can.
On my P9 in 7.0, i use this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rascarlo.quick.settings.tiles
For having more quick settings and one of them is immersive mode. You will just have to use an adb command for giving permission (described in app). No need to be root or unlocked bootloader.
It sounds like it is just the actual changes in the user interface rather than something being wrong with it.
If you don't want to go through the pain of factory resetting the device (which would fix the issues you are having) you could try using another launcher.
You can get Nova launcher from the google play store.
How would re-rooting his phone help? Unless you were telling him to factory reset as part of the procedure? All OP needs to do is either locate the APK or download another such as Truecaller.
That's funny you have to buy a whole set right away... That Huawei doesn't offer such solutions... I like Huawei
Bitrate is also a lot lower than other devices, especially in 1080p
The 4K clips have a video bitrate of 21-33Mbps (compared to a fairly typical value of 42Mbps), which may be one of the reasons for the less than ideal sharpness - excessive compression might wipe some of that away. Or maybe the always-on electronic stabilization has taken its toll on the picture quality. Or both.
The 1080p videos shot at 30fps, except for the lower resolution, offer similar sharpness, dynamic range, colors and contrast. For our balcony scene the bitrate is a crazy low 6Mbps (usually around 17Mbps), though go up to 15-ish Mbps for the walk in the park stabilization clip.
Finally, the 1080p clips shot at 60fps have less resolved detail than the 30fps ones which is sadly the norm, though we've started to see exceptions.
Dunno how high the credibility is, but it was reported many times now that samsung is going for a 108 megapixel sensor....
12 MP is just the final picture assembled of the 108 MP sensor.
> Render leaks suggest that the Huawei P40 and P40 Pro will be very similar to the Samsung Galaxy S11, at least in the back. Like the Galaxy S11 and S11 +, the Huawei P40 and P40 Pro feature a large rectangular camera module on the back.
EXCUSE ME.

Here's the spec comparison, going from apple to android will take a little getting use to despite it just being a wallpaper basically (i was on iphone until 2013) but that will give you an idea on the hardware side of things, only real downside is that the fingerprint scanner is rearmounted which can be a pain from my time on the s8, the pro and normal p30 versions have it on the front and that should be the standard imho, have a look at the other huawei phones, the mate 20 series will be a massive upgrade and could also be cost effective given the 30 series is out but can't run google until the shitshow with the USA is sorted, you might be able get a better phone for the same price
It should be fine through the usual way you get updates. I can't tell you when it'll appear though.
Failing that, here's what I believe is the most recent version of Hicare:
Just select a country in the UK or something when it loads up.
Sorry then, it could be region specific or something. When I open its settings, it says HiSearch. There is an apk in this site but I don't know if it's gonna work or not on your phone.
There's some good quality scanners on Play Store.
FOr anyone interested a person called Area39-X uploads pretty much all the stock wallpapers from most phones to a Google Photos gallery that you can share here https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipMDZIOVTH3His16bVQ0oKX598JfQhCH5oME8zkZDN11ruuZBAU24dH5-OwsNn8HsQ?key=aExzMmFab1RHZXB2bF9hWk80bm5XUV9ITlJ4S3R3

Amazon uk have them
there are two types of memory card, microsd and huawei's nano memory.
your phone even though it's huawei, uses the more common microsd card.
nanomemory is another type of card that is exclusively used for huawei phones. typically it's only made by huawei, although sadly i've found that HP also made that product. i think you bought this one, and if you did, sadly it wont work with your device.

the capacitive button may be faulty. as a workaround you can install third party app that puts it on the screen. i tried this one before on other phone (Android 9) and it works really well.

huawei doesnt let you customize the buttons except for the quick launch camera feature, you can try this app and remap a custom shortcut for your google wallet.

I bought this one
