You have installed something.
Look for an app your app list that don't have a name. You'll see the size of the app but the name is blank. You'll usually see it at the very last.
On settings search for "display over other apps" and look at the list of apps allowed and see which one that should not have this permission.
Scan your phone with apps like Malwarebytes
When the ad message box show, press the recent apps button and see which app is showing the message.
Install some antivirus program like malwarebytes (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.malwarebytes.antimalware) or AVG antivirus (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.antivirus)
It's a wallpaper from Abstruct. It's got most of the official OnePlus wallpapers and a cool function of automatic switching wallpapers. The one in the photo is from the blend collection.
Your only options are:
1- you get a USB to USB c cable again like this one (Link to amazon uk)
2- you get a new charger that is 20watts that has usb c as its input like this one (link to amazon uk)

Whichever is the cheaper option for you. I do not know if simply adding a converter on one end will still allow it to charge fast. It may, or it may not.
yup yup, can confirm for the Global version, just download the app, use it to download the OS and install it thru the system settings (Settings>System>System Updates>click on the little gear on the top>Local Download>update)

Next Music Player is my favourite one, after using almost every music player out there. It's paid, but it's a very small one time fee and totally worth it. However, if you don't want to pay, try Phonograph or Retro Music Player
Install Better Battery Stats (needs ADB permission) so you can monitor which apps consumes your battery while sleeping.

I use Android Messages, it has notification setting per contact (3 dots menu > details > notifications). It has Override Do Not Disturb option, so maybe that would work if you set that contact to be the only one that play sound.
Other than that, I say put the Phone on a hard surface that amplifies the vibration sounds a bit more, maybe like aluminum tray or dish.
Sorry, I don't know much about these stuff. My best idea is to install GSam Battery, and see if anything unusual consumes your battery.
OnePlus provides OnePlus Switch (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oneplus.backuprestore) application which helps in migrating settings, call logs, sms and application data from your previous device.
I used it do the same and everything worked just fine.
The Oneplus 6 doesn't come with a music player built in. You can use streaming services like Apple Music, Spotify, Google Play Music, and other to stream music. To listen to music you've stored on your device you'll have to download an app form the Play Store. I suggest Shuttle.
Yes you have to install Rootless Pixel Bridge for widgets as well.. you can download this.. https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/amirzaidi/rootless-pixel-bridge/rootless-pixel-bridge-v2-release/rootless-pixel-bridge-v2-android-apk-download/
Beside this you have to uninstall any other pixel launcher to get this pixel bridge installed
I have this version 7.3.018.291816413. I'm using Gcamator to get the latest version https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.granturismo.gcamator even if it says it can't find the right version for your device it has a browse icon and you can get the OP6 link.

There's a way to kinda get the OOS gestures on custom ROM's, I do have to say that I only tested the following method on LOS and not on other custom ROM's.
Hopefully this helps you out, good luck!
Did you try Android Auto for phone screens (Play store)? If it's not available for your region, you can try APKMirror.
OnePlus do a gradual rollout for all updates. But you can either download the latest beta stable from oneplus' website. Or use oxygen updater.
Oxygen updater basically watches the website for updates wether it be stable, beta or developer preview and downloads the file to your device. The instructions are in the oxygen updater app. Its unofficial but downloads the official updates.
Pm me for any questions.
Here the oxygen updater link : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.arjanvlek.oxygenupdater
You could give this a try
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.woodslink.android.wiredheadphoneroutingfix.pro&hl=en this is only the pro key, you'll have to find the APK somewhere else on the web.
I like to keep things simple with this one by Francisco Franco: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.franco.agenda
If you're interested I can post my homescreen setup, this widget goes along very nicely with the dark sky weather one.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dosartsmagma.widgets
It's originally a date widget, I replaced the date with a clock with product sans font and I performed extra tweaks to it and added the music Widget and the song progress bar.
Unfortunately no way to change it every since recent update, I agree the default control for the volume keys should be user-controlled. The option has been removed from settings>sound! This app does help with this though but costs money.
Consider that for many services that try to prevent you to use VPNs (like Netflix), you need your VPN to give you a dedicated IP. Which you can do with NordVPN. Their app is also really good. You can set it to automatically connect when using WiFi (you can set a whitelist). Super useful for airports and the likes.
It has the Google Feed .. this isn't the pixel launcher but a modified version named Rootless Launcher by aamir zaidi >> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=amirz.rootless.nexuslauncher
It should eventually show up later, if you want it now you can use the app oxygen updater app, seems to work well and be farly trusted. Oxygen Updater: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.arjanvlek.oxygenupdater
Check out this Beautiful Hd Music player

One of these kinda devices can be used to cheaply backup data without access to a computer.
I have been using the Unicorn Beetle case on my OnePlus 6 for 4 years now and my phone still looks like new, mint condition.
Thanks for pointing out. Had some strange issues with a calls and it newer occured to me that this could be caused by a phone itself.
For gmail issue - the only fix for me was to use other email apps. These are working good:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.office.outlook
There's an app called Accubattery. It's pretty decent. You need to wait like a day for it to calibrate, but you'll see the battery health. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.digibites.accubattery
I use this...it has the fast dash charging on my oneplus6
This works. I'm currently using this and fast charging works.
Or this one on amazon Oneplus 3 Dash Type C USB Data Fast Charge Cable - Bulk Packaging - No Box https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01K43UTWG/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_NNYPQA4KND0TEBF5TCP1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

How's your current phone holding up?
I had an HTC 10 that was falling apart internally (degrading battery/broken WiFi and Bluetooth antenna). I went with the One Plus 6 because I still use the headphone jack daily. The new OnePlus 6T has a bigger battery and screen.
If you're not in dire need of a new phone, you can wait for Spring and pick up the OnePlus 7. The new Qualcomm processors will be built on a 7nm process:
Yeah it seems like the download link is not working now. Before fixing my buttons i used this app and it works Like a champ and remember, try to charge your phone before dying.
I tried to use it and didn't work. It's easier to install fonts with .zip extension with magisk. U can found many fonts in xda forums

Most people on this sub use the official OnePlus diagnostic app. Should note that version 2.1 requires a shortcut app to access it (read about it in the comments) or you can use the older version. It's important to note that it takes time for this battery health percentage to calibrate. It's as accurate as accubattery after a few battery cycles.
Anker Powerline supports fast charging. Theoretically it shouldn't. But mine shows 'Charging rapidly' and takes the same time as the original cable. Not sure if it's bad for the battery or not. Note, I'm using the original dash wall charger. Cord is this one. It's longer too, 6 ft.
You are mistaking it with this one as you couldn't have manually downloaded it. It was previously named downloads. It's part of the android system and is opened by default when selecting a file from any other app that doesn't provide its own file explorer.
Maybe the files are hidden, have you tried enabling show hidden files option from the three dots menu in the folder? Are you sure there isn't any other whatsapp images folder in external storage and you're looking at the one in Internal storage or vice versa? Or is it THE whatsapp images folder and not simply an empty duplicate folder? — long press the on the folder and from the three dots, tap get info, and check how many files does it says it contains.
Don't know if it's available in Malta, but i ordered this one and, despite not being an official one, it works rather well. Dash charging and all, plus it's longer.

I'm using 3C Toolbox. You will need to be rooted to be able to use it though. In the "CPU Manager" section I simply underclock the frequency bit by bit until it runs fast enough for my taste.
So for new comers, I followed this guy: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=outtiefivethoukustompunk.kustom.pack Installed several more apps like nova launcher because for the moment custom wallpapers do not work with stock launchers, and that was it. You can actually personalize quite easily this theme if you have some experience with custom widgets or wallpapers.
So sorry ! Thought I had uploaded some instructions too but seems my post got some troubles being uploaded. Basically I just followed what this guy said: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=outtiefivethoukustompunk.kustom.pack

TUDIA Dual Layer Case. It's all plastic, but the outside is stiff feels solid. And the inner liner is nice and gripy.
My only complaint is the cutout for the ringer slider is sharp. It's not going to cut you it's just in your way.
I've tried several cases, I didn't like any of the softcase. For a while I did have a softcase with a metal ring in it. For the magnetic mount in my car, they work fine. They just feel like they offer no protection to my clumbness.
This is from the US Amazon, but I've tried a couple glass screen protectors, and this one looks the best/doesn't cover the actual screen pixels with a stupid black border. Plus, it works and protected my actual screen from a drop, so I don't see what's not to like about it.

probably just second hand, as teh op6 is not for sale anymore.

You need one with DAC (digital analog converter). You can find one on Amazon or even buy the Apple one (Wich has good reviews and low price).
I personally use this one with my OP6 and very happy with it.

>Quick Cursor if you want a one handed mode for big phones. (It's in beta now and the pro version unlocks more features)
This looks suspiciously similar to Reachability Cursor. Almost exactly. I'd be wary.
This is crucial OP. I saw you on another post too. But you must calibrate the battery. This used to be my go-to app in the olden days. Follow instructions very carefully. I think it's pretty simple, you charge to full, calibrate, and charge to zero. You must not charge in between. Do check it out.
SpotiQ is the best. High quality and perfect integration with Spotify. You can create a specific equalization for each song/album and that's are automatics recalled. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.frack.spotiq
Maybe you could try this. Put the sim in your working phone and run this app - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wilysis.cellinfolite
See what band it's using for 2g/3g. Then look up your Oneplus phone band list and see if it's supposed to support it. Maybe it just doesn't support those bands.
Couldn't agree more, and I could recommend using livdark theme, it fully support oos and it is one of the best themes I ever seen (IMHO)
I would first try resetting all app permissions:
Settings > Apps > All Apps > three dots > Reset app preferences
This will reset all the permissions and defaults for every app, so make sure to go into the important ones and re-enable permissions and defaults you like.
This might save you time if it works, but you can download a local upgrade using the update app
I use ADW launcher, and in the settings have a double tap trigger an app... I use lock (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.redmanit.lockscreen) and that does the trick. Just have to leave some clear space without icons on your home screen.
Thank you. The apps are on the play store: Reachability cursor

This has served me well for so long, Better than any glass or plastic sheet I ever put it.
Check it out: the official page
Yes, it is. I bought it on Amazon Spain (sold directly *by* amazon) for 309€ on Black Friday and it's still avaialble there, for only 20€ more than what it was on Black Friday.
SwiftBlack for rooted users. It themes most common apps black (or just dark) and lets you choose your accent colour (hot pink is best pink).
It looks like the weawow weather app. I use it and I have the option to make the weather widget as big or as small as I want amongst many other features. It looks exactly like one of the smallest options on that app.

My bad. I forgot to do that. It was from an app called 4K Wallpapers. You can check them out.

Try this app, it's awesome with min battery drainage. Only (3-4%) battery drain per hr. Also developer updates the app quiet frequently.
The free jOnePlus Tools [adb/root] app lets you enable the native call recording without root by granting the app the WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS permission using ADB on a computer.
Getting ADB setup and working can sometimes be a challenge, but I only needed to do it once and since then the call recording has been working really well for me on OxygenOS 9.0.5 in Canada*.
*Canada's criminal code has a "one party consent" exception so as long as one person on the call (me) consents then it can be recorded without notifying the other parties.
Well... I was think about their app, but it's not released yet.
Swift Black is the one I used before the app. It's a substratum theme : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.brit.swiftblack.layers
It's a good use of those sweet Google Rewards credits.
There is an app called Reachability Cursor that has all but resolved one-handed mode. The dev is here on Reddit and released it as a humble project, but it took off. It's extremely handy (no pun intended).
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.niftyui.reachability&hl=en_US
Apologies for the late reply. I'm not the original person who you replied to, though.
Less sharpening is very normal and intended. If you want to make it sharper, you can download a RAW image file editor (like Lightroom) and adjust the raw data yourself, including sharpness.
It's way easier! It just runs as an app and anytime you update your other apps, you pop open SwiftBlack, check the boxes to update, and then do a quick reboot. No need to reconnect to PC. I think it's a couple bucks and gets updated weekly or more.

Yes! Using the gcam mod! And then downloading the playmoji and then restarting. This was on my op6 :D

It's this app called kwgt https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.kustom.widget i learned this on this sub too btw. It does need some experimenting tho. The widget you see on my homescreen was originally grey and square. I turned it to circle and black and reduced the opacity which fits well with the filtered wallpaper
Maybe an underrated app but I love flesky. Once you get used to the gesture control, it'll be a breeze typing with it.
Also tried out gboard and swiftkey, still came back to this one.

I just got my OP6 and I`ve been using it for 2 weeks now and coming from a Samsung s7 I got used to this feature "Always on Display" and this small app solved my problem without and roots or whats so ever.
give it a shot it works great!
FocusPower F16 I use them one at a time, and they last 8hrs+- (yes 8hrs) per charge. I'm at 85% after that time, with listening to podcasts.
OtterBox doesn't make a defender case for OnePlus 6 but there is one like an OtterBox defender. I am using it on my OnePlus 6 and it works good seems to protect phone good. Here is the link I used to order one for my OnePlus 6.

It's a Pixel-inspired widget, the "At a glance" widget is similar, but it's not the one in the screenshot.
It's "Pixxy Widget 002" in the Pixxy KWGT pack.
Thank, i uploaded the wallpaper here https://imgur.com/a/5LMluyW And the icon pack i use is called DarkMatter https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mowmo.darkmatter&hl=

I'm a big fan of Phonograph, as it has a minimal and material design. Slick looking, while simple and to the point.
Check out Ticwatch E. It uses Wear OS and does everything you want it to do. It is affordable, but also not super high end, so keep that in mind. I have had it for almost a year and it is a good smartwatch overall.

Just received this 3 pack and applied one. To my surprise, I like it. The others I tried for this phone where just horrible with gaps or size being too small. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HBLRZ5B/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I decided to try another TGSP for the Oneplus 6. I have tried that sucked so bad, I through them away immediately. Just received this 3pack and applied one. To my pleasant surprise, I don't hate this one. It has the black border, but it is thin enough on the sides that it doesn't cut anything off, that I can tell.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HBLRZ5B/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I know this doesn't answer question, but I am sure others just looking for a decent tgsp will be seeing this thread as well.
I use two cases, depending on what I'm doing:
The OnePlus official flip cover is quality stuff, and fits one card in an indent without effecting the form or function of the case. Had issues with others closing flush on other phones. Probably the best flip cover case I've owned for a phone, and I'm not one to purchase the fancy ones — black leather is just fine.
This one is my daily driver. Matte black, soft touch. Dropped my phone once or twice and this case provides great protection. It's one of those two-layer cases with a soft cover and a hard shell. Reminds me of a Spigen case, but isn't. This was one of the first proper cases I discovered for the phone after buying it.
Yea, i just purchased a 1+6 on Amazon and the seller had in the Subject Line " OnePlus 6 A6003 DUAL SIM GSM Unlocked - US warranty (Silk White (US warranty), 8GB//128GB)" I contacted OnePlus to see if i could add the insurance they offer on the site, i was told, not only can i NOT get the insurance, but the company i purchased the device from, is not authorized. I sent a message to the Amazon Vendor questioning the Warranty. They told me, if i had a problem, to contact them directly and they would get me an RMA #. Hopefully i dont need to use the Factory Warranty, never had too before, why start now?
