It's actually way easier, install Oxygen Updater and search for updates. Works like a charm.
Edit: in the settings you can choose between incremental and full update. And incremental update is advised if you are on the lates OOS version.
Rollouts are staged (a good practice to catch problems IMHO).
I use Oxygen Updater because I'm comfortable jumping the line. It immediately notifies you of new updates and lets you download them. You can install them in settings, no ADB required.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.arjanvlek.oxygenupdater&hl=en_US
P.S. I love A/B partitioning. Update installs are super fast.
It's a staged rollout but you can use Oxygen Updater to bypass that and get it right away. The app gets the OTA from the official source so it's reliable.
Link: [link]
You can do it manually instead of waiting. Just down the oxygen updater from the play store and download 5.1.8 now :) quick and easy process ;)
That update already came out, they're just rolling it out in stages. If you're so keen to update then you can use Oxygen Updater app to download and manually install it otherwise just wait and eventually it will show up on its own.
Generally speaking unless you're very enthusiastic about it I would suggest just waiting because since it's a new release there's bound to be issues and those will get fixed as time goes by and the chances of you directly getting a bugfixed version are higher.
yup yup, can confirm for the Global version, just download the app, use it to download the OS and install it thru the system settings (Settings>System>System Updates>click on the little gear on the top>Local Download>update)
I did this a few days ago. Tired of waiting for the update. Install oxygen updater, and follow the simple instructions. Took about 2 minutes to do (excluding the download of 1.6gb). Ridiculously easy.
You can use these app. [link] It immediately anounce your that there is an update for the phone and you can also download it directly from the app and do a local update. Good luck
Use Oxygen Updater, alerts you to latest updates (incremental and whole ROM). You can even set it so that it flashes magisk automatically after the ROM.
I don't think there is a video about it.
You should take a look at the Community app. People talk about their experiences with each beta.
Download Oxygen Updater from the store as well. You basically get updates faster and you can even choose to receive beta versions of you like.
you can unroot and relock but you will lose data. any time you lock or unlock, you lose data.
you can update easily with oxygen updater: [link]
make sure you reinstall magisk (to inactive slot) after updating and before rebooting.
OnePlus do a gradual rollout for all updates. But you can either download the latest beta stable from oneplus' website. Or use oxygen updater.
Oxygen updater basically watches the website for updates wether it be stable, beta or developer preview and downloads the file to your device. The instructions are in the oxygen updater app. Its unofficial but downloads the official updates.
Pm me for any questions.
Here the oxygen updater link : [link]
You can try this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.arjanvlek.oxygenupdater&hl=en_US . Not official app but it's safe. That's how I got it.
Download the above app "Oxygen updater".
When downloading do not use the app's downloading button. Copy the link and use your browser to start your download. Otherwise your download will break after sometime and you would need to restart the whole process again.
All other instructions will be there in the app.
Hope this helps.
You can just download the Oxygen Updater app. It does it all for you. I use it all the time. By the way your links link to older versions of Android, not Pie for those models that can get it. [link]

First you have to roll back to the Oreo stable version following rollback-oneplus-6-from-android-pie-to-android-oreo guide, make sure to backup your data since this file will factory reset your device.
After that download Oxygen Updater app from Playstore and it'll guide you through updating your phone to Stable Pie
It should eventually show up later, if you want it now you can use the app oxygen updater app, seems to work well and be farly trusted. Oxygen Updater: [link]
Download the oxygen updater app from the playstore. Makes updating easy as when rooted. Also makes a backup for you automatically
Yes. OEM unlocking allows you to unlock the bootloader which allows you to do things like root the device. You should also be able to install Oxygen Updater or load the latest factory ROMs without having to wait for Metro to push them to you.
Get Oxygen Updater. This can't be real, since Im on security patch january on my op 7 pro and my friend received the january security patch a few days ago on oneplus 6.
Oxygen Updater is easy to use, won't delete any data and provides the official updates faster than normal rollout.
Just curious what updates are you not seeing? I have a OnePlus 6T and gotten pretty decent updates. I also have Oxygen Updater installed as well. If they don't publish updates through the os updater, this usually finds it.
You can download the Google Play Security Patches manually here: [link]
But yes, the others you can't fix, unless Oxygen Updater has found an update before your built-in updater has realised (a common bug).
Have you tried GCam? Can sometimes make the camera better in some scenarios.
Try using this app:
This should give you the option of downloading the latest version for your phone regardless of which region you are in
You can seriously update it using oxygen updater. Its safe as it just downloads the file from the server and its installed only after the system validates it.
Have you checked oxygen updater?
I'm also in the US. The phone is unlocked from Oneplus and I use it on TMobile.
I may have used oxygen updater from the play store to get it. I don't recall. Sometimes I use it, sometimes I don't.
Try checking the app. Select Oneplus 7t and incremental updates. Then follow the instructions. Pretty straight forward.
It is a 3rd party app, but it is 100% legitimate. I have been using it for years.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.arjanvlek.oxygenupdater
Use Oxygen Updater download it from app store. If you're rooted download full update instead of incremental update. It'll auto download then install it from system update>local update. Everything will go smoothly (Still not responsible for anything going wrong)
Just get it by using Oxygen Updater from the play store...
You could try to install one more time the update. I've got the European version of Oxygen OS, so there might be some differences in the software itself but I can tell that there were minor problems and bugs on the version 10.0.6, which aren't anymore existing after udpating to 10.0.7. Download Oxygen Updater from the play store: [link] Download the full version of the newest OS for your device and region, after downloading go to settings, system, system update, click on the gear in the right corner then choose local update and choose the update. You might even have a newer version of the OS than you get from the built-in update center. Personally I don't want to get on the beta, because you can always have some trouble on the beta version. I hope it helps with your problem.
You can try this app and get the latest update as soon as it comes out [link] I used it yesterday to update and now on June security update. Or alternatively you might find a rom on xda or something with fast and regular updates might help but then again your probably going to need to root and stuff like that so may defeat the idea. Maybe an asop based rom without root could be what you want? I'm so out of loop with flashing phones etc I wouldn't be able to recommend a particular one
I got it from the oxygen updater app:
When you open the app go into the settings and scroll down to advanced mode and turn it on. Then refresh the app or restart it and the beta should be there
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.arjanvlek.oxygenupdater&hl=en
there are multiple ways, i guess this app is the easiest
For those who havent gotten the update yet, download oxygen updater via playstore ([link]) and use it to download the zip file. From there its easy to follow the instructions provided to continue.
These posts are getting old.
[link] Explains the delay. And also they have rolled out update 10.3.1 or 10.0.4 which has the security update for January.
One quick search on the sub and you'd find this info.
And please don't say. I'm not seeing it in the updater. Download [link] and follow the instructions.
I swear it's like people literally don't bother with the search function.
Can a mod seriously pin this or something.
My OnePlus 6T Factory Unlocked is updated to Android 10, I used the oxygen updater by Adhiraj Singh Chauhan on the play store. It'll find out if your update is out or not and download the update. Some are being delayed (T-Mobile Mostly), the international ones are being delayed mostly because of the Virus supposedly.
You can get the update earlier using OnePlus Updater: [link]
I used it to update to 10.3.1 the day it came out. It's not available over the air because it is a staged rollout but this app allows you to skip that queue.
I would first try resetting all app permissions:
Settings > Apps > All Apps > three dots > Reset app preferences
This will reset all the permissions and defaults for every app, so make sure to go into the important ones and re-enable permissions and defaults you like.
This might save you time if it works, but you can download a local upgrade using the update app
oxygen updater from play store then manual update from the zip
link https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.arjanvlek.oxygenupdater&hl=en_GB
keep in mind there were lots of bugs in previous "stable" releases but apparently they sorted all that so good luck
Options 1: Oxegen OS updater will allow you install the update, don't worry OnePlus checks the integrity of the update file before it installs it to verify that it has not been tampered with. [link]
Option 2: Download the ota from the OnePlus website here: [link]
Then move the update file to your /sdcard directory from the downloads folder. Finally go to system update in settings, click the cog in the top right and click "local upgrade." Then the phone should start the update process.
Really doesn't matter if you just download this [link] it gives you the OnePlus updates earlier than in any area. They also have a discord
It's a staged rollout that they paused (I believe) when issues started cropping up. However, the issues aren't guaranteed, and you can easily get the update anyway. Use the app Oxygen Updater, no rooting or anything like that. [link]
I'm on 10 and have seen no issues.
Use this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.arjanvlek.oxygenupdater or manually download the zip and install.
I updated my through Oxygen Updater and it's worse. My battery drains like crazy. Any keyboard has the ugliest chin underneath, it's higher up the screen. The new gesture control is HORRIBLE. Every time I try to control my phone I activate the Google assistant. It's horror, hope for the new updates asap
You have to get it via the Oxygen Updater app, not released in all regions yet as it will be a staged rollout to catch any straggler bugs.
The biggest change is probably the iPhone-like gestures, which I really like (although it is not without its issues).
I'm not 100% sure if you understood that I am talking about a 3rd party app in the play store that lets you download the current patch earlier, not updating via settings.
Here's a link:
I used this app to get the update after seeing someone link it here. I hadn't gotten it OTA as of Monday and I got impatient
You could try Oxygen Updater. It's not official (created by an XDA dev) but worked great for me to get an update I was out of scope for.
I'm not saying these specific ones are real, but they can be.
Because of staggered roll outs, some of these apps provided a URL to download the OTA as soon at its released which can be manually downloaded and flashed: [link]
If you don't have it in "settings /updates", download the Oxygen Updater app and make sure in settings it's set to incremental updates. Download 9.0.1 and follow the install instructions.
Gotcha.
You definitely should not lose data doing an OTA update, sorry that happened
I'd recommend getting the oxygen updater app: [link]
Set it to OP5t and get the Full Update, not incremental or beta and you will be good to go. I think 9.0.3 is the latest, its safe and stable.
You can use OnePlus' site too, but it's not always the most recent build: [link]
I'm in UK and I have it. You need to use the Oxygen Updater app set to incremental updates. Download then follow instructions. [link]
many people installed the oxygen updater from the play store that are on OP6 phones.
check again, if you dont see it and are on a One Plus 6, just download that app. open it, select full update, download the 1.8GB file, exit the app, go to settings, update, click the gear in the top right and select local.
boom, enjoy
Try the Oxygen Updater app, if you have root you can automate the update procedure and automatically re-root after the update. Works flawlessly for me.
For those not wanting to wait, download [link] and it'll force it for you. No VPN required.
Once file is downloaded, go to settings> update > click the gear> offline update> pick the file.
Download the oneplus updater app from the app store: [link] I check it once every few days and you pretty much get the download the moment it's released. You do have to install it from recovery mode so if you're not comfortable doing that then oh well lol.
Is OOS4.0.2 out for the OP3? I thought it was only out for the OP3T? I have heard some people have success with this app to get the latest OOS updates: [link]
let us know how it goes.
You can grab the update right now using Oxygenupdater from the playstore
Just a reminder for people to download and use Oxygen Updater, so everybody can enjoy the updates quicker!

Can also use Oxygen Updater.
Or just use
I used this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.arjanvlek.oxygenupdater and the latest update came instantly.
You may also download it manually and update via recovery: https://otafsg.h2os.com/patch/amazone2/GLO/OnePlus5TOxygen/OnePlus5TOxygen_43.O.33_GLO_033_1804110359/OnePlus5TOxygen_43_OTA_033_all_1804110359_e45d0.zip
About your questions, I don't know. Maybe OnePlus chose to roll out the update starting in country X (I normally see Germany), and other regions a bit later.
Try Oxygen Updater from the Play Store - [link]
The firmware update is available through the Oxygen Updater app. Totally legit.. Why not just do that?

Download OOS 5.1.4 from OnePlus servers:
Place it to the root of your internal storage and use local update feature in Settings --> Update --> three dots
Download OOS 5.1.5 from OnePlus servers: [link]
Repeat the procedure with local update feature
Download OOS 9.0.5 from OnePlus servers: [link]
Repeat the procedure with local update feature
Trying to flash OOS 5.1.5 or 9.0.5 directly won't work due to Treble implementation being added by OTA (in detail OOS 5.1.4 prepared stuff for Treble, OOS 5.1.5 enabled Treble and 9.0.5 is latest stable release available)
Alternatively, as highlighted by an other poster you can use Oxygen Updater app which take Treble limitations into account
Also, try this app:
Used it last week for the same purposes as you, got the update but kept the app too - seems very good.

The company name (Adhiraj Chauhan) is unknown to me, and furthermore, I've never needed to use an extra app before. I've had several updates for my OP5T before in the past few years without it.
How are other users even supposed to know they should download this in order to still get updates?
I did not get an OTA and connecting to a german VPN did not help, how are you guys getting the update already?
