Green tint occurs only on 60hz at low brightness. Force enable 120hz all time should solve this issue, but at the cost of battery life. I use AutoHz app (paid) from Play Store that lets you select 120hz on per app basis. I get 6-7 hrs of SOT.
Hi guys, We made an app for one plus 8 & 8 pro camera cutout wallpapers. You can set the wallpapers for free. For downloading you need the pro version. The app is released before 2 days, so the collections are less. We will be updating the wallpapers regularly. You can support us by purchasing the premium version.
Download the app from this link : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wallpaper.propix
Wanna take it one step more than removing some icons? Remove ALL of them. How will I know what my battery is you ask. Simple! Install battery notch app
There are 3 variants of the OxygenOS ROM currently being rolled out via OTA i believe:
IN: OxygenOS 10.5.8.IN11DA
EU: OxygenOS 10.5.8.IN11BA
NA: OxygenOS 10.5.8.IN11AA
Global = NA version from what i can gather...
Getting them is as simple as downloading the full update from respective OnePlus site.
Instructions according to that same page to update:
How to upgrade system?
Download the software build for your device on this page. Please back up your data before flashing your device.Plug your phone into your computer and copy the downloaded .zip to your phone’s storage. If you’re using a Mac, you can install Android File Transfer Android File Transfer for this operation. After the .zip file is copied to your phone, go to 'Settings' - 'system update', click the 'settings' icon on the top right corner, choose 'Local upgrade', find the .zip file and click on 'Install' to confirm. The update takes about a minute (depending upon the file size), once done reboot your device to boot into the latest Oxygen OS.

I've not cross-change regions on mine myself, but I purchased a China model phone that would have had HydrogenOS on it and the vendor updated it to OxygenOS (NA ROM) before sending it out to me. Using it for nearly 2 weeks now with no major issues.
I purchased this car Charger on Amazon, even though it's price went up since I bought it in December. But using the cord it came with and the car charger itself, it does use Warp Charge. As far as any other products on Amazon I'm not sure of but this one I use everyday. So you could just order it and use the cord, and also utilize the car Charger too.

I really don't know how this case ranks among others, but I am very satisfied with it. I've been using the pre-installed screen protector for now
Download Set edit app and set Peak refresh rate to 59.99 then all your apps will run at 120hz. No root needed. But it resets after every reboot so set manually again.

You Can enable it with the app '5g switch' https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sladjan.sava.petg Or by yourself by accessing a menu by dialing ##*3646#*# if i repember correctly ( i'm not sure about the menu thing it may have change there is tuto on YouTube // i switched to Samsung zflip since a months so i'm starting to forget things)
Then there's the island app which makes a work profile and clones the banking app. Then it will work fine, but it does need root. link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oasisfeng.island&hl=en&gl=US
Here's a fix someone showed me in another subreddit, it's an absolute pisstake that you've got to install external apps for things that should be part of the OS.

It's a lot about personal choice. You can check a video on youtube with PixelExperience 12 and see if it fits your needs. It doesn't have too many configurations, it's almost stock Android.
I'm not missing anything from OxygenOS, the only think I really wanted was to turn the flashlight with power button or volume button, and I finally did it with root + button mapper.
The OxygenOS12 was too buggy for me, a lot of problems and crashes. No issue on PE12 so far.
Also, I recommend my app, Quick Cursor, if you need a good one hand mode :)
Green tint issue happens only on 60Hz refresh rate with low brightness. Some apps like Youtube, reddit, etc doesn't support 120hz all the time. I use an app called AutoHz (paid) and force my device to use 120Hz all the time. It consumes more battery tho.

The stock screen protector that it comes out of the box is low quality I would say. I removed it as I was replacing it with a different screen protector. It's a TPU one as I get a better deal than a glass UV one. Here's the one I use: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ibywind-Hydrogel-Protector-Display-Fingerprint/dp/B087M6HBRV/ref=sr\_1\_3?crid=1V578B1DJSSEB&keywords=oneplus+8+pro+screen+protector&qid=1638960507&sprefix=oneplus%2B8%2Bpro+scr%2Caps%2C172&sr=8-3
It is known that curved screen phones have tinted sides sadly... There are several questions about this on other forums as well. But it's what happens on curved displays.

Cheapest you can get a new one in the UK right now
Thanks! I did the route that's called the Minfordd path. You start from the car park and do a circular route.
That's the route I recorded when I went
No protector on it, I used ibywind TPU and it was great until it got bubbles I think because of the heat. I will get this in a few days, I'll see how it goes.
I got this case with a seperately purchased screen shield. It exposes the screen nicely while protecting the sides and back. I've been very happy with it https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B086KQ46N2?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Samsung or iPhone has more choices than for example Oneplus or any other brand. But what about a classic leather case with space for creditcards?
I'm using the same, they're great.

My original got dented a bit. I bought another one from Amazon, probably first copy, maybe even original for 5usd. I think it's original as there is noo difference at all. Nothing. here's the link, might not be available in your country, but still
These ones are the ones that I have, i've not had any problems with them and they're pretty easy to apply

So it's a combination, I'm using Liv Dark subs theme, and the icons are from this icon pack called pix material icons.
Basically rubber but these omoton ones are the best I've ever used - also my favorite tempered glass protectors for non curved phones.
This is what I'm using. Edge to edge coverage, no cutout for the camera. It also comes with an attachment that plugs into the charge port to perfectly align the protector. I am extremely impressed with this protector. It's also a little thinner than the stock protector that came on the phone, so the fingerprint scanner is just a little more responsive as well.

I picked up this one and it's been great so far! By far the most sophisticated and difficult-to-fuck-up installation method I've seen yet. Even comes with a lil' skin for the back as well if that's your thing.

I've heard only bad things about attempting to use glass protectors on curved screens, as much as I've loved tempered glass in the past.
That said, I found a plasticky one that was VERY easy to install straight, and has held up well. It self-heals for a lot of gouges, too. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B087TLWLQK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I use this one with my dome protector and love it, works so well with my blue phone. It comes with two options, with a protector and without. Obviously I threw away the protector that came with it. https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B086KQ46N2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_Syv2Fb1XSXRZR?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Spend some time looking for the icon pack that fits my needs but I'm v happy with this one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.themesonfire.iconpack.ineclectic_icons.paid
Surprising amount of icons
I have the Spigen Liquid Armor and I buy it for almost every phone that I end up buying. 1. Protects the camera bump, lifts it up, but the part between camera and the flashes is exposed and dust can get into that space but I clean my phone very often (kinda OCD) so don't have a problem. 2. Buttons are covered and still retain that tactile feeling. 3. Important, a lot of people complain about accidental touches due to the curved screen. The case makes it seem that the screen isn't as curved. I've never had accidental touches. 4. It's pretty light, looks sleek and minimal.
You should check out the Nilkiin case too. https://www.amazon.in/dp/B087LT7D1V/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabt1_kqKRFbYGNQA93
I bought it for my Grandmom's iPhone XR. It's cheaper so the tradeoff is that it doesn't cover the bottom and the top (leaves it exposed) and does not cover the buttons.
If I were you, I'd go with the Spigen Liquid Air without a second thought. I hope this helped. Cheers!

ended up using the official karbon case from OnePlus with this screen protector from amazon: https://www.amazon.com/PULEN-Protector-LiquidSkin-Anti-Fingerprints-Flexible/dp/B082XR4ZL1?ref_=ast_sto_dp

ended up being perfect fit and cut for the case.
I use Firefox and have never hand any issues. All your desktop extensions also work. So no adds online for example with uBlock Origin
I see. I'm not a huge mobile gamer, but when I do play mobile games that require input beyond simple swipes and touched, I use this controller:
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07S81C5LX/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I bout if for game streaming use. I fiddle around with Shadow, XCloud, and Stadia, and it's been killer for that. The overall feel is a little less "refined" compared to an XBone controller or DualShock4, but is hands-down better than touch.
I use 'Film screen protector TPU' from IBYWIND.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B087LSGM5P?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I have this screen protector and it's solid. But it is a UV glue protector so there is a learning curve to installing it and I messed up my current one so I have some bubbles around the edges. But as far as clarity, usability, and staying on goes - this is the best I've seen. I had a cheap one that had dust collecting under the screen after a few hours. This is going strong after about a month - minus the crack I got when my dog knocked it off the couch. Lifetime warranty on this though so I have a new one coming today.
I am more than happy with this full body case. Real leather at a very reasonable price. And it looks thoroughly professional. I realize cases are a matter of personal preference, but I can't see myself risking a relatively fragile $1,000 investment for the sake of a slimmer, "prettier" look. Besides, no messing with screen protectors that won't stay on or contain bubbles, or tempered glass that can crack almost as easily as the screen. It's a truism that you only need access to the screen when you're using it, so why not keep it protected by a cover at all other times, like when I'm sliding in and out of my pocket or digging around for it in my backpack? Not to mention much better cushioning if I drop it. Finally, IMO, it looks really good sitting on an executive's desk or a living room coffee table.
I recommend checking it out, along with others you can see on Amazon. It's returnable if you don't like the look and feel of it. (And no, I didn't receive any money or product for writing this. LOL)
