Read the top review. I'm pasting it in for mobile users.
>hey buddy, you have got something VERY COOL here! I see a whole lot of potential with this! You could (from what i understand) very easily turn this into an emulator! You already have clickable icons and a fantastic UI! now you need the emulator portion! this has tons of potential bro! im excited to see what you do with this! im gonna give this 4 stars!
Man people really don't understand how limited are phones are...
>You could very easily turn this into an emulator!
Bro seriously?
This is the "most helpful" review. About 90% of the other reviews are the same.
Dolphin does not have ads. Please make sure you downloaded the correct version from: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.dolphinemu.dolphinemu If you downloaded any other version from the Play store it is a scam.
I've been having a lot of fun using the Flydigi Wee 2 to emulate DS games. While it does make DS emulation a lot better, it still doesn't solve the issue of not having a fine-tipped stylus for games that need that. Using Scrcpy, I was able to mirror my phone's screen to my Surface Go and use my Surface pen as a DS stylus. It works great for drawing lines, but not so much for taps. For whatever reason, DraStic makes me tap twice before a touch is registered (other apps are just fine when mirroring). If you need a fine-tipped stylus, I would suggest one of those disc stylus that can be found on Amazon for $15 or so.

Monster hunter stories
Online multiplayer has been disabled, other than that works fine. Too me 40h to finish the game
Btw screenshots from OP are from android version, not sure how it fits this sub :p
Here you can find the changelog:
And as always, you can download it from Google Play or GitHub.
Best DS emulator by far is Drastic, I couldn't recommend anything else. If you reeealy didn't want to pay you could go with an alternative, but it's not worth it tbh.
Just a heads up, if you check out the wiki in the sidebar it has emulator recommendations for just about every platform.
controller, no sure...it was at this "Retail Rebel" store that has Amazon returns... It was the $4 day, every item was 4 bucks...it was just sitting in there so i tried it out. I'll see if i can find info and report back.
edit
that was easy...looks like it is this one lol

The game is SNES's Blackthorne A++
The app used to cost $12 for a lifetime membership but now it's $13 annually. Not sure if that's worth it considering DIG is free with a small one-time fee for some trivial premium features.
I'm not sure about running it from an external drive, but DIG is by far the easiest front end I've used. The icons/backgrounds can be easily changed and the scraper is super fast.

This is a confusing question for several reasons.
There are dozens of Raspberry Pi OS's. The usual option is based on Debian Linux, there are several built for media playback, and there are several built for Emulation.
You want to install the operating system because the emulator is slow? Why not just install the emulator, like RetroArch? Installing a linux distro on top of android just to run the program/app that already runs on android natively doesn't seem like a good idea.
Unless youre using a potato, Retroarch should work better for you. Free, no ads or funny permissions. Get the base app, then download any GBA core/emu you prefer.

Nightmare Creatures 2 is a Windows CE game, after one of the recent updates it shouldn't be accessible from the main menu,
From the play store description: For older devices, a faster version based on 1.43 is available for download on my site. This app is 100% free with no ads.
I think this is the correct page http://www.explusalpha.com/home/snes9x-ex/downloads
I may do a deeper review later once I've seen how well everything is implemented. But outside of a small issue with the styling, it came off as everything I wanted in a mobile controller. Easily switch between android/pc, no center gap, landscape/portrait mode, analog triggers, L3/R3, rumble, and they have an app for keymapping to top it off.
Feel free to give my build of Mupen64Plus AE a try here:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.mupen64plusae.v3.fzurita
If you have a fast device, you can use the GLideN64-Very-Accurate emulation profiles which are the most accurately graphically. And the performance is great in shield devices.
If you need best performance without caring for graphics, you can stick with the defaults.
Drastic is honestly the only DS emulator I would recommend. It is compatible with Android 2.3 or newer. I would recommend paying the couple bucks for it because any free version is illegitimate and will likely cause issues.
I believe all of that should be possible without root (definitely these apps)
Snes9x (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.explusalpha.Snes9xPlus&hl=en) for SNES
Mupen64Plus FZ (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.mupen64plusae.v3.fzurita&hl=en) for N64
Just a heads up, this version is completely up to date and updated every 2 days or so.
I love picross, but you'd be better off just getting one of the many free apps which have more optimised controls. I recommend Falcross: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rawrmaan.falcross
The only benefit John GBA has over My Boy! is Dropbox support (requires you to install additional free app John DataSync). Everything else about My Boy! is executed better.
Android is the operating system
A computer needs an OS, there's no way around that
What you could do is use some automation program such as Tasker and just create a script that starts RetroArch on start
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.dinglisch.android.taskerm
You could also use Nova Launcher to "clean up" the UI and make it more minimal
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teslacoilsw.launcher
You can try NDS4Droid but don't expect amazing results. The Desmume core for Retroarch may be another option.
Don't bother with the NDS Boy! emulator. From a review there:
>Forces rating It lets you quick save, but then to quick load you have to leave a 5 star rating. It also has ads.
And it's banking on the name of My Boy! and My Oldboy! for hits, but not actually by the same developer. Honestly, it's probably just Desmume with ads, much like N64 Boy is Mupen with ads. It's bullshit.
Try NDS4Droid or Retroarch, and in the meantime sign up for Google Opinion Rewards so you can get credits for Drastic.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fishstix.dosbox dosbox turbo should be your app for dos. I'd say that our current phones could emulate windows but nothing great, maybe like windows 98 type specs but I'm just spit balling
Yes, Android 10 and 11 come with a hidden desktop mode. Activate it in developer settings and use the taskbar app to add a taskbar.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.farmerbb.taskbar
Bluetooth 2.1 is SUPER outdated. I would try to get a bluetooth adapter with at least BT 4, preferably 5. That way it will work better with bluetooth headphones and the like.
I think a better choice would be something like this, though it doesn't have to be exactly that one.
You could choose a USB model, but I've had problems with the range on those. If you can install a card (which is really, really easy) then this is the better way to go.
Download Rom Patcher https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xperia64.rompatcher
Place rom and patch in your internal storage with everything unzipped. Open Rom Patcher, choose your rom and patch files, select backup and rename options if you want, click Patch, all done.
Google Opinion Rewards, it gives you Play Store credit for filling out surveys every so often. It'll take a bit to get to $5 worth but it's something at least. I've bought several apps purely from credit I got from it
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.paidtasks
Yaba Sanshiro since it's pretty much the only Sega Saturn emulator that's playable for Android.
You can also buy the PPSSPP Gold on the Playstore if you want to support the developers. And IT IS a great emulator and once again the only decent PSP emulator for Android.
Other than those two, everything else can be done better on Retroarch or it's free.
get the freeware windows98 game and english patch here: http://www.romhacking.net/translations/2441/
to play on android, download this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sdlpal.sdlpal
create a new folder on your sdcard "sdlpal" and copy/extract all the files there.
The game's battle is easy but the dungeons are mazelike and almost as if its endless, good thing you can save anywhere in the game.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B59bV8HiqyB6bG5LMmZiU1l3TWM/view
There you go. The only shaders available for My Boy are this and the one from the play store.
Only real difference is the one I linked from Google Drive has two additional shaders. Those shaders were already there but never made the play store build. I was able to grab the source and compile it a long time back before Google Code went down.
Both of these also work with My Oldboy.
There's a controller out that looks a lot like a Nintendo switch. I'll see if I can find it.
Edit: Found it https://www.zapals.com/flydigi-wee-stretchable-bluetooth-gamepad-for-smart-phone.html
Edit again: if you really want a nice emu machine I'd use a front end. My favorite front end for Android is arc: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.floatingpoint.android.arcturus
A little pricey but it's wonderful, will scrub info and images for all your games and it even supports native Android games right in the front end. Greatness.
Not that I'm aware of. I mean, if you have a OLED screen, they're subject to burn-in, but it takes a long time of the same stuff being in the same spot on the screen (seems to happen with the home screen on Samsung phones after a very long time).
In terms of battery life... well, anything you do drains the battery over time. And of course having the screen on more means faster draining battery. That's why a lot of battery apps monitor screen-on time, sleep time, and overall usage separately. Best thing you can do is to use something like Accubattery to monitor charge cycles and usage drain. People rarely do this, but the best way to preserve the battery (supposedly) is to not charge to full, and never drain to full. Accubattery recommends a charge/drain cycle of 80%/20%.
I don't follow it to the letter, but I've stopped charging my tablet to 100% and leaving it charged all the time, and it does seem like it's conditioning well.
Do yourself a favour and get the superior DraStic Emulator. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dsemu.drastic&hl=de
This emulator won't force you to rate it 5-stars just to save your game. Lol.
No experience with the cable itself, but it shouldn't be any different as long as it's a data cable like the one you linked. Just want to mention that before you buy anything you should be able to pair the DS4 via Bluetooth. If there are latency issues there is a app Bluetooth auto connect that should resolve the lag.
Hey, You should definitely try My Boy!/My OldBoy!. Definitely the best GB emus around. Here's a link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fastemulator.gbafree&hl=en And one for GBC: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fastemulator.gbcfree&hl=en
My Boy! is where it's at. Cheats work in the full version, as do savestates.
Other than the ones you've tried, you could check out the VBA-M / VBA NEXT cores of RetroArch, but I have no idea if those support cheats.
The Classic NES series has the most advanced anti-piracy measures of any GBA game. See this article: https://mgba.io//2014/12/28/classic-nes/
You need a highly accurate emulator to play it. Or you could just emulate the NES original.
1.61 was just released and you can get it from the ppsspp website. Multithreaded for opengl and vulcan has been improved. It will eventually end up in the playstore but right now is only on the site.
Genymotion is the least "sketchy" of the emulators out there that's good for gaming too. https://www.genymotion.com/
But Android Studio comes with the AVD Manager which is an android emulator. Good for testing apps, but it's not good for gaming.
DuckStation is the best provided you have a recent phone as it is the most accurate/allows upscaling and many customizations. Link to Duckstation
Basically, hook up Google drive backup and sync on your computer. Then install Autosync for Google drive on your phone. The free version only let's you backup one directory, while the $5 version let's you backup as many as you want. On your pc, set the folders where your save files are stored as the folders you want to backup. Once they're backed up, go onto your Google drive and find where the files are. Star the folder it's inside of. Once that's done, your computer should automatically backup all emulator saves to Google drive, you can make sure this works by saving and checking the time the file was modified.
Witch the pc hooked up, go onto autosync on your phone. Set the local directory as whichever folder your saves are (if there are other files there, set the file name argument as *.sav or *.fileextension depending on the save format) and set the cloud directory as the folder where your saves were stored on your computer. You starred the folder it was inside of earlier to easily get there. Once that's set up, it might take some time to get it working properly, but it should backup your files when either your phone or pc makes a new save game. I have dolphin, Citra, mgba, and drastic synced up this way.
Shovel knight android port is controller only however. No touch controls, and probably only works on one screen
It's sold on amazon https://www.amazon.ca/Yacht-Club-Games-Shovel-Knight/dp/B014IEGCKU?ref_=d6k_applink_bb_dls
First of all, I'd recommend downloading the 32-bit version of RetroArch, as it will work better with the PCSX ReARMed core.
Inside RetroArch, go to Load Core -> Download a Core -> scroll down and download Sony - PlayStation (PCSX ReARMed). After that, in the main menu go to Load Content -> /storage/emulated/0 and navigate to the directory your ROMs are located in. Then select the ROM to start playing.
Easiest may be mame4droid https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.seleuco.mame4droid&hl=es
Just point the emu to the rom folder, and be sure that the game is form the corrrect romset ( 0139u1 ).
Noice.
Dig gets nowhere near enough shine here.
Really like the look you went with. Your background really compliments the pixel text.
Where did you get all your sweet icons?
Edit* Maybe x-post to /r/digemulatorfrontend ?
I actually used to do this with my phone and tablet... You run the app and choose if it is the host or controller. On your Android box run as host, then with your phone connect to it as controller. Uses Bluetooth or Wifi and up to 4 players can connect...
Try BT Controller: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=softigloo.btcontroller
If you want to customize the Controller themes on BT Controller: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=softigloo.btcontrollereditor
Download "Bluetooth Auto Connect" from UniqTec. Leave everything default, but while your connection to the Controller is active open Bluetooth Auto Connect - Hit "Connect Now" in the Advanced Options Submenu - And now the Lags will vanish or never appear.
I know this is probably not the place, but let's discuss "which version do I choose?".
First, you should know that there are fundamental differences between the first version and the ports. In short: The NES version is harder and it has more grinding.
On the topic of emulation, PSP has an extra dungeon and the Internet consensus, if such a thing exists, is that it's probably the best version overall. If your device stutters with PPSSPP, the GBA version is the next best thing. Some people will disagree with this and will let you know in the comments below, I'm sure.
There is a native Android version which is a port of iOS, but it doesn't have the extra content of PSP.
The sidebar of /r/FinalFantasy has a document with more versions and recommendations for each game.
That is not true, you can either donate via Patreon or PayPal. http://purei.org/about.php
If you have skills to help the Dev even if it is closed source, give him an email. He might appreciate the help. Also I can imagine it would be good for the CV.
...what? You mean what's the best application for watching TV? An emulator is a program which interprets computer code for another computer.
Watching TV doesn't need an emulator. As for an app for watching TV, check this one out:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.iptvremote.android.iptv
Two options
DraStic. Is a paid app, but is generally considered the gold standard for DS emulation on Android.
MelonDS. Free and open source. One of the emulators of choice on Windows, recently ported to Android. It isn't yet quite as optimized as drastic, but your phone should be recent enough to run it well. And if it doesn't run well, Drastic is always an option.
Another solution is to use Steam's built-in streaming feature. You can add non-steam to your library and it'll show up when you stream from the Steam Link app.
I just discovered DIG and it's a great app, but I didn't really like the stock icons on it. So I made some icons that you can use. They are part of my icon pack, Flow Icons. To use them in DIG, you'll need to extract the icons using Iconzy. If you're using these icons inside of a custom launcher, you can just pick them from your launcher's icon picker. I know that the application process for DIG isn't ideal, but I haven't figured out a better way to distribute them. Right now I have most Nintendo system icons created along with a few other systems. I'll be adding more systems in the near future! Let me know what you guys think!
Delta Touch and Quad Touch without doubt.
Doom: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.opentouchgaming.deltatouch&hl=en_US
Quake: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.opentouchgaming.quadtouch
it is a common problem in android 7,
you can use your file manager to select the file then open choose open with drastic
use amaze file manager, it is open source with no ads or IAP
The only switch I might make is Yaba Sanshiro for Saturn. I honestly haven't gotten much into Saturn emulation but I've heard that's the better option.
Mupen64Plus FZ, although I haven't personally used it yet.
Your experience will be highly dependent and what settings and plugins you use when it comes to N64 emulation.
Here you go, this app lets you link two directories so just link otg dir with folder of your choice on your SD card or internal that emulators can read.
DraStic has all kinds of issues if you didn't buy it. It performs a license check and has measures in place for pirated versions.
There really aren't any other good DS emulators available. The best alternative would be NDS4Droid, but I can't recommend it in good conscience. It's not very good, unless things have changed recently.
If you really can't afford Drastic, you could use Google Opinion Rewards to get some Play Store credit over the next few weeks/months.
How much they pay varies. I've made like a whopping $0.24 over two or three weeks, but my wife has made over $3.00 in that same amount of time. I think possibly the more often you use Google services while authenticated with a Google account, the more often you'll get surveys. Just a guess, but she's gotten way more of them than me, and I don't log into Google at work, a lot of it's blocked.
Could you install gamepad tester and show us the readout from the analogue sticks? I purchased a standard 9083 a while back, it was so incredibly bad, like worse that I could have imagined... I am curious how much improvement the dead zones have on the 9083c.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.elron.gamepadtester&hl=en\_US&gl=US
I played occarina and majora's mask to completion. Here's a compatibility list that should give you some good previews of how well stuff should work.
I got one of those from here. It's fantastic and holds my Nexus 5 much better than a Gameklip would.
I prefer using My Boy!, honestly. (only the FULL paid version supports bluetooth multiplayer)
You can follow this guide to know how to set it up:
http://aminoapps.com/page/pokemon/2292696/how-to-play-with-friends-on-my-boy
small guide for retroarch:
https://www.maketecheasier.com/retroarch-android-guide/
Or just use melonDS:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=me.magnum.melonds&hl=en_US&gl=US
I use the Pro version of this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ttxapps.drivesync&hl=en_US&gl=US
You can point a folder to your Android save location and a folder in your Google Drive that will sync changes whenever they are detected and/or on a timed interval.
Citra saves may be a bit trickier as they use some weird paths for data files and saves IIRC. But it should still work.
I think the free version of the app only syncs one folder, so you could use it for just Citra if you want, but I use it for all of my emulators.
It's also great for syncing data between different devices.
The most accurate core for gb/gbc is Sameboy
Gambatte is very accurate too, you won't notice anything except Sameboy has kind of better sound.
Standalone emulators you have Vgbanext https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fms.emu
Don't know how accurate it is, I think is high too but the thing over other standalones is that it can emulate lots of consoles, and it is still being active.
I bought it long ago before I learned how to use RetroArch, now I prefer RetroArch for almost everything because RetroAchievements, and because it has the best and most complete way to customize the display.
Portal is a great game for you. Not too long. Simple but addicting. And pretty funny too. You can get it on android following this guide.
You can get it on the playstore too.
That's not exactly emulation, but I digress. Also check out Mario Kart, Super Mario Bros., Sonic CD, Pokemon (not short, but easy for anyone to get into), Fire Emblem on GBA (not short either but pretty easy to get into)
You mean "stick on the SCREEN"? It's called THUMBIES if that's what you mean. The thumbies relies on screen type/size not on the phone OS so you can use iphone type to android, vice versa.
https://www.amazon.com/Generic-Thumbies-Button-Screen-Controllers/dp/B00BNOQK1U
If you really like the PS4 controller, why not try a controller mount?
VSEEr Smart Clip
There is Citra Official and Citra MMJ. Both those links will take you to the place you can download them.
Be aware however that you need a fairly beefy device to be able to play 3DS games well.
> Should I factory reset?
There should be no need. Just grab Malwarebytes from the Play Store and run a scan. You can then uninstall that after it has done its job.
Pizza Boy GBA would be my suggestion. There's a paid version too with a few more features if you like the free version. The developer is very quick to fix issues when they occur as well.
You can get the official Citra emulator from the Google Play Store but I would recommend these MMJ builds as they provide better performance.
Unfortunately, the LG Stylo 4 has a Snapdragon 450 processor, so I wouldn't expect your device to get great performance in regards to 3DS emulation.
Need the game files from PC and this app.
There's also a nightly which I personally use purely because the gamma adjustment works and morrowind is a bit dark for me on phone.
I highly recommend playing this through Delta Touch. It includes gzdoom which will play Chex Quest, and even the expanded Chex Quest.
there is more than one, so yeah there is a pizza boy pro that plays GBC also...
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=it.dbtecno.pizzaboypro&hl=en
That's this one right? Seems like a good price. I don't think it matters if I get a locked phone if I have no intention of connecting it to cellular? Thanks!
Have you taken a look at LaunchBox for Android? I have it on PC, and it does a pretty good job of downloading and displaying images for each game.
It's on the Google Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.unbrokensoftware.launchbox&hl=en
Oh, I see! Then let me have another suggestion, The Quest. It looks a bit old-fashioned, but you might like the RPG / dungeon crawler part. I have heard that 7 Mages is also good, but I have never played it.
> I like retroarch as I like the all in one UX. Is there a better option?
For N64? Mupen64Plus FZ.
Retroarch is great, but for some platforms there are better options. Specifically, Drastic for NDS, ePSXe for PS1, and Mupen64Plus FZ for N64. Retroarch is a fine option for pretty much anything else.
And no, the 32-bit Retroarch is generally the best option.
It seems GBA multiplayer is not popular in this sub.
You can try Multigba S. That's a recently added emulator based on mGBA core. It supports link emulation, online connection is even possible. Though it is still in preview state and expecting bugs. But it is completely free without ads.
Note: this emulator I created as a pet project in order to bring multiplayer supports to GBA emulator.
Removed both replies to this for breaking rule 4 (ironic accusing someone of breaking the rules and then breaking the rules yourself /u/uselessdicknumba1). This comment is staying up because it does not request, link to, or offer piracy, just says to google it. I'd recommend paying for it though because it is the best ps1 emulator on android and whatnot. Google Opinion Rewards is great for racking up some free money to use on emulators and other paid apps on the play store
You may want to check out DropSync: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ttxapps.dropsync . I've been using it for years to sync all my various emulator memory cards/saves across my devices. It can auto sync when it notices a change. I highly recommend it.
Probably the best you can get for free.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cpu.free.dsemulatorv6
I've been using it for a while now. Most DS emulators are slow in my experience (Huawei P20 Pro). However, this works really well. The GUI is pretty shit and the fact that you have to load an ad every time you load state is shit but it's the best your gonna get for a free emulator.
Quad Touch is what you want
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.opentouchgaming.quadtouch
Play Quake 1 through 3 on the go along with all expansions. Everything works perfectly on my phone.
ZeldaMinishCap on gba. IMO
Edit:
FinalFantasyTactics on gba and nds. SummonNightSwordCraftStory on gba. PhoenixWright on gba and nds. Megaman gba and nds. Disgaea on nds. And many more
With hq4x for MyBoy! (gba) [ https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fastemulator.shaderpack ] and 5XBRVeryHighConfig for DraStic (NDS) [ https://www.reddit.com/r/EmulationOnAndroid/comments/axacm9/this_is_pretty_damn_cool_drastic_was_worth_it/ehza8v9?utm_source=reddit-android ].
If you have some pare time, I'd really appreciate a comparison.
This app (free) can show the analogue stick response and deadzones.
It'd be super interesting to see if there is indeed a difference and how much the software shows through.
Honestly, if you're going for Doom, your best bet is to go for this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.opentouchgaming.deltatouch&hl=en_US
It has FAR many options and can run nearly all the Doom games and ports.
Magic DOSBox should work as well, but Delta Touch is the go-to for Doom.
Drastic's requirements are pretty light. 1.4Ghz ARM CPU, and that's about it. Better specs needed for high resolution 3D. Pretty much any device since 2014 or so will do.
For Retroarch, specs needed will vary based on the cores used or the settings desired. 8 and 16 bit stuff can run on a toaster but RA supports emulation through Dreamcast and PSP, so specs will depend on your needs.
Higan/BSNES isn't going to happen on an Android device, I don't think. It requires roughly a 3GHz CPU on PC, and Android devices aren't there yet. SNES9x gets it done though, and there are the BSNES-Mercury cores (Mercury Balanced and Mercury Performance will work well on many modern devices).
>I have a pretty good PC already set-up for emulation. Is there a good way to Remote Connect to my PC from my Android phone?
If you have a Nvidia GPU you can use Moonlight to stream from the PC to the phone.
There is a guy who just barely finished an app that will make a Wii remote work if you use an arduino Leonardo. This is the app. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.makeithappend.wiitouchmapperpaid
I am planning on doing exactly what you are saying as soon as my arduino comes.
Download this app and check if your triggers work and give any values: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.elron.gamepadtester
If they work in RetroArch just go to input settings, input user 1 binds and you can remap your gamepad any way you want, then just select save autoconfig to save your new mapping.
The Dig frontend supports this, but it doesn't work with John SNES, so you'd have to switch to a different emulator (Snes9x EX+ is pretty great)
The <em>Uae4arm</em> Amiga emulator is capable of emulate a broader selection of CPU's etc.
If you're anyway just playing games, the vast majority are aimed at A500/A600/A1200 which I believe the retroarch core can do perfectly fine (if you have the kickstart ROMs, or buy them through the <em>Amiga Forever Essentials</em>).
So, I only use Uae4arm because I was bitten by a wild Amiga in my childhood.
Edit: Added links to play store
Your phone's SD reader is too slow. Mine does the same. This is something that I learned coming from my older phone.
I used to have a flagship and all my games played flawlessly on it whether it was on SD or internal. With my current mid range phone, any games that's bigger than a regular sized rom (PS1/PSP iso, NDS roms, etc.), it gets stutters or lags. Only when it's in the internal, does it disappear.
And it's not just for games, but apps as well take longer to read files from the SD card. Very annoying especially since my phone's internal is only 32GB while my SD card is 256GB of space, but this is what you have to deal with when you're not using a flagship because phone companies cheap out on parts. If you have root, you can improve the read speed using app like this. Otherwise, there's nothing else you can do.
Here's the link for the app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.damonplay.damonps2.pro.ppsspp
Now if you can explain to me why that link ends in PPSSPP if they weren't stealing work from PPSSPP, feel free to do so. There's been plenty of evidence already posted to you by others showing you that they stole work from PCSX2 and PPSSPP. Even if Google doesn't remove it, that doesn't change.
Feel free to buy and use the app if you want, nobody can stop you. But again, that doesn't change that they have been stealing code and lying about it. And you don't need to be so salty or defensive about it, all that's being asked is that they comply with licensing agreements, not necessarily getting rid of the app. They're allowed to use both PPSSPP and PCSX2, as long as they do it properly. Just stop pretending that it's controversial that they've been stealing work when it's abundantly clear to anyone with the slightest bit of sense, even the flipping URL is completely suspect for crying out loud.
