I haven't had your particular problem but I did have a similar problem with my bluetooth headphones and car bluetooth.
For me what solved the problem was setting up the app: Bluetooth Auto Connect.
You can setup priorities for which devices have priority over others and you can enable/disable functions easily (such as disable 'call control' for a device that you only use for music).
No experience with the cable itself, but it shouldn't be any different as long as it's a data cable like the one you linked. Just want to mention that before you buy anything you should be able to pair the DS4 via Bluetooth. If there are latency issues there is a app Bluetooth auto connect that should resolve the lag.
Download "Bluetooth Auto Connect" from UniqTec. Leave everything default, but while your connection to the Controller is active open Bluetooth Auto Connect - Hit "Connect Now" in the Advanced Options Submenu - And now the Lags will vanish or never appear.
I use this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect To turn on Bluetooth every time I charge my phone and shut down after 5 minutes of inactivity. Hope this helps.
Welcome to Tasker!
Tasker doesn't have a default action to force a connect to a different BT device, but there IS a plugin for it :)
It's called "Bluetooth AutoConnect" in the Play Store.
And if you're new to Tasker, it is great to watch all the videos in the Tasker 101 series on Youtube, watch a couple a day, in a couple weeks you'll be well versed in Tasker.
Also if you look to the right in the sidebar of this subreddit --> you'll see a whole bunch of Learning Resource Guide links as well for getting started.
I have a bluetooth speaker in my car, but for some reason it never auto-connects to my phone. Started looking for an app to solve that and hey presto: Bluetooth Auto Connect
You can setup a number of triggers which will make the phone automatically look for any known bluetooth devices and pair with them. You can even make it launch a specific app after it has paired.
I used to have to get in to my car and manually connect to my speaker. Now I just get in, turn on the ignition, my phone connects to the Parrot, which triggers the connection to the Bluetooth speaker. All I have to say now is "Play Music".
Sure, this can be done with tasker I assume, but this app was really straightforward if you don't want to tinker too much.
DS4 lag can be remedied with BAC IIRC.
This was all covered long ago; Any modern BT or wired X-Input or D-Input controller will work, no need for a list & why you couldn't find one.
All 8BitDo, Hori & RetroBit should be added to said list if you're going to bother.
I don't know of a native way to do it, but I've used Tasker and this Bluetooth app to accomplish that sort of thing in the past. You can get it hooked into the Google Assistant with IFTTT. I know suggesting Tasker isn't a good solution for everyone (and native options are always better), but I'd be glad to help you get it going if you wanted to try it out!
I've posted this repeatedly within multiple threads on Reddit in recent months..
"Found a fix on my Samsung Galaxy S8+ running Android 8.0 and the latest build of Bluetooth Auto Connect (4.5.4).
Just install the latest version from the Google Play Store and open it. Click "Profiles" and select "Media Audio (A2DP)".
Click "Devices" and select your DualShock 4, likely labeled "Wireless Controller". Once again, select "Media Audio (A2DP)".
Return to the main menu and scroll down to "Advanced Options". Click "Continuous Connect (Sec)" and set it to "2".
Close the app completely, turn off Bluetooth on your device and make sure your DualShock 4 is turned off. Re-open the app, turn on Bluetooth and lastly, turn on your DualShock 4 (press and hold the PS button for a second).
Probably because your headset is connected only as "Phone audio" and not as "Media audio", and Hangouts is playing its audio as media.
Try connecting your headset as "Media audio" in Bluetooth settings and see what happens. Hopefully Android will remember to always connect "Media audio" after that. If not, your can use an app like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect&hl=en
Install this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect&hl=en
Then go to advanced options and turn on debug
I've seen a couple anecdotes of this fixing it
I had a similarly infuriating experience trying to play with a DS4 on a Galaxy Note 3, and I was able to fix it with an app called Bluetooth Auto Connect. I found my solution in this forum post, but I'll summarize:
Install Bluetooth Auto Connect from the play store and open the app
Navigate to Advanced Options > Continuous Connect (Sec)
Set the continuous connect value to 10 and tap OK, then go back to the app's main screen
Connect your bluetooth controller and tap Connect (the first item)
Go play a game and celebrate! (or cry if it doesn't work for you)
I hadn't noticed before reading that forum post, but my bluetooth input was fine for the first 30 seconds, and then it started lagging every damn time. This solution finally fixed that. Hope it works for you, too.
Just learned about an app that may help actually! I haven't had a chance to try it myself yet, but I heard this app gets rid of the lag:
If you're using an Android phone, Bluetooth Auto Connect will automatically connect your phone to any speakers nearby, which you have previously paired.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect
If you're on Android, use Bluetooth Auto Connect.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect
I also have a rule in the AutomateIt app, to turn-on Bluetooth if it's been off for five seconds.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect
This app helped me a while ago with the same issue. Install it, connect your PS4 controller to your phone via bluetooth, open the app, press connect.
Or you could do/use what some people have been doing for years now: BAC
I think this is normal. I’ve had this issue on three different Android devices. I had to downlaod an app to get it to fix it. I think it was this app, but I’m not 100% sure
You could try Bluetooth Auto Connect https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect
I use it to toggle if my A2DP activates in my car or not, so my media audio can either play through the car, or just play from the phone with the tap of a widget
It would be an extra step to have the A2DP go to another device, but probably possible
note this is the worlds most confusing fucking app, with zero documentation.
This one here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect&hl=en_CA ?
I'll give it a try, 50% of the time is much better than then 0% I am getting now...
I had the same problem and it drove me crazy. I installed this app and it was a lifesaver. Allows your phone to prioritize one BT connection over another.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect
Any idea how Bluetooth Auto Connect compares to the two options you mentioned? I currently use this one but having some reliability issues and wanted to see if anyone else has any experience.
This is a known problem with Samsung phones, had it with my S7 and still have this problem with my Note9 (Pie). The only solution that seems to be working is installing the app called "Bluetooth Auto Connect"
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect
>Tasker can't split up phone audio and media audio the way you want it to
Tasker can't but there are apps with Tasker plugin interface which are able to do this:
I have had some pretty decent luck with this. Doesn't fix all the issues, but makes it a lot better than the default: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect&hl=en_US
A USB dongle should work without any setup if the game/app has built in controller support (I use a PS4 controller for PPSSPP on Android) but bluetooth can be finicky. I was having major latency issues until I installed Bluetooth Auto Connect and turned on auto connect with under 30 second reconnect time.
https://www.teamknowhow.com/discover/discover/how-to-connect-a-ps4-controller-to-android
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect&hl=en
I had a 3rd party xbox 360 controller I tried to use on my old phone with a dongle and it just wouldn't work for anything. It could be the 3rd party that made it not work but I haven't tried any other 360 controllers.
I don't think anything like that exists system wide. You could try using Bluetooth Auto Connect and enable/disable the media profile for the BT devices you want.
UPDATE: But the thing I'm talking about above seems to be Pebble App related. Works for me with Gadgetbridge. In Gadgetbridge settings (after you uninstall Pebble app, forget your Pebble from settins>bluetooth, hold down Pebble's select and back button both at the same time until the text "Pebble" appears on your Pebble screen, and restart your phone, you can go in Gadgetbridge settins and put checkmark "reconnect automatically" and under Pebble settins, put the checkmark for "Always prefer BLE". And in addition, use Bluetooth Autoconnect app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect&hl=en (Used this with previous Pebbles too, only trouble for you might be that the way I did is with Tasker and I used Bluetooth Autoconnect plugin for Tasker. I made the phone try to reconnect after every 5 minutes in case the watch got disconnected.)
I'd actually recommend to buy a new phone and continue using Pebble's own app, though. I've heard that Xiaomi produces reliable smartphones with good stats for a reasonable price.
Based on what I've heard, this is the app that you want: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect
I'm not exactly sure what you need to do within the app to fix the input lag though.
To fix the input lag, install this app and once the DS4 is connected, press connect now in advanced settings. Input lag should be gone
This issue is that Android only supports one connected Bluetooth A2dp device at a time. https://developer.android.com/reference/android/bluetooth/BluetoothA2dp.html
Unfortunately Android doesn't have a Bluetooth priority feature, but thankfully there exists third-party apps like Bluetooth Auto Connect which lets you prioritise Bluetooth connections.
It looks like it's a known issue with Android - basically, Android only allows one device to control phone audio, if I'm understanding it right: https://developer.android.com/reference/android/bluetooth/BluetoothA2dp.html. I was recommended to use Bluetooth Auto Connect as a potential solution for Bluetooth prioritization, but I need to sit down and play around with the app to figure out how to get it to work the way I need it to.
OP, check out this app. I have used it with great success for similar issues to what you're having.
Don't let the neutral reviews fool you. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect
Bluetooth Auto-Connect does the trick. Had big lag issues until I sideloaded the app and select "connect"
That should take care of your lag issues. You will have to open the app and select connect every time you connect a Bluetooth controller or reboot the fire tv but this is better than that awful lag
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect&hl=en
This isn't exactly what you want, however I hope it helps. I don't think Tasker can connect / disconnect from BT devices. I hope someone can prove me wrong.
EDIT: It looks like Bluetooth Auto Connect will help you prioritize devices. It also has Tasker integration.
The first profile sets a variable when both devices are near. The second sets a variable when only device B is near. That way, you can trigger tasks with a State > Variable Set profile.
When both A & B are near:
Profile: BT Near Both (57)
State: BT Near [ Name:Device A Address:* Major Device Class:Any Standard Devices:On Low-Energy (LE) Devices:Off Unpaired Devices:Off Toggle BlueTooth:Off ]
State: BT Near [ Name:Device B Address:* Major Device Class:Any Standard Devices:On Low-Energy (LE) Devices:Off Unpaired Devices:Off Toggle BlueTooth:Off ]
Enter: Anon (59)
A1: Variable Set [ Name:%Twodevices To:1 Recurse Variables:Off Do Maths:Off Append:Off ]
When B is near but A is not:
Profile: BT Near B Not A (61)
State: BT Near [ Name:Device B Address:* Major Device Class:Any Standard Devices:On Low-Energy (LE) Devices:Off Unpaired Devices:Off Toggle BlueTooth:Off ]
State: Not BT Near [ Name:Device A Address:* Major Device Class:Any Standard Devices:On Low-Energy (LE) Devices:Off Unpaired Devices:Off Toggle BlueTooth:Off ]

Unfortunately every Android phone I've had so far has failed to connect to my car's Bluetooth with both the calling and media audio options. I was hoping the LGV20 would do better, but no dice. It connects just to the calling profile and not the media.
iPhones work just fine.
Luckily, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect&hl=en always fixes the problem, whatever it is.
Once it's been paired, it should automatically connect when in range unless you specify otherwise.
However, i also use this app.... https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect&hl=en ....it gives you a few more options and configurations.
Try this app on your phone: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect&hl=hr
I believe you won't be able to remap your buttons, but should be able to play without lag.
Worked for me at least with DS4...
I got this from the mi band notify pro.
Users with Galaxy Note 3 Lollipop There is a common issue with bluetooth, please try this procedure: 1. Install Bluetooth auto connect by UniqTec: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect 2. Set profile: Health (HDP) 3. Set devices: MI to HEALTH (HDP) 4. Set events: Bluetooth ON, Device Disconnected ON, Device Connected ON 5. Restart the phone (flight mode on/off).
after reading you last message i browsed through my app list, and noticed it was updated about 2 or so weeks ago. it was the only one that stood out as an app that could have malware. then i went to the app store and sure enough many others have left bad reviews because of it.
check out all the new 1 star reviews. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect&hl=en_US
i think we found the culprit. im not getting the popup anymore !
mac provide the best solution. I make bluetooth icon show always. click on the icon and click the device. on windows its extra steps. i make bluetooth icon always show. click on icon -->Show bluetooth devices-->pixelbuds-->connect
there might be windows app to do this
on pixel you can use something like bluetooth auto connect https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect&hl=en_US
I remember doing something like this sometime ago but forgot the profile I made. I do remember needing Bluetooth auto connect as part to the profile.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect
TL;DR: use Bluetooth Auto Connect (BAC) with the "Networking (PAN)" profile.
I've been having this same issue for a while and have finally resolved it. While researching this I've seen many people say to use BAC but with varying instructions. Some say to use an old version (4.2.2). Others say to use the "Media Audio (A2DP)" profile. None of the instructions worked for me. After some trial and error (read frustrated fumbling about for ages) I found that when BAC tried to connect with the PAN profile it would reset the DS4's lag to normal. It doesn't prevent the lag from starting so it has to be set to continuously reactivate fairly quickly to snap the DS4 out as soon as it starts misbehaving.
In the BAC settings under "Devices" uncheck everything apart from your "Wireless Controller" (the DS4) and set the Profile of the DS4 to "Networking (PAN)".
The settings I have under "Advanced Options" are:
To see that it's running you can check "Notification Icon". It will show when it's active and what profile it's using. If the PAN profile doesn't work, you can select all the profiles for the DS4 and use the notification to see which profile does reset the lag. I used Gamepad tester to see when the lag changed.
I'm using Android 9 on a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (Snapdragon) running HAVOC-OSv2 with the current BAC version (4.6.2).
Good luck and happy gaming!
You can try Bluetooth Auto Connect, it has Tasker integration. Connect your headset to the HFP only, and the speaker to A2DP only. You can also do this manually on Android's BT menu btw, just in case you don't need to automate it every time and just keep it like that.
Check your bluetooth settings. You can allow/block several things per connection. You could try to block the phone permission to the android auto unit, and only allow the car unit. It should then automatically use your car unit when a phone call comes in.
Or else, give this a try
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect&hl=en
Typical Android problem with DS4 controller , wait for android 10 update or connect your ds4 directly via a cable. ( check your box , maybe a USB Adapter is in it ,my s8 had two different ones)
Google for Android ds4 lag fix , there are some solutions you can try until you get Android 10.
(https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect can help)
Bluetooth functions in the spectrum as 2.4Ghz, localized interference could be anything: other devices, location of power cables/hub.. no one can fix it but you, surprised you didn't go the BAC route already, people have been remedying lag with it for years now.
I can't find the OG post iwth the instructions, they should be somewhere in the Android TV forums, if not in the Play Store page comments.. nothing a bit of searching for those who need it wont turn up.
This has been covered, repeatedly.
Can't find the OG Reddit link, but still had the instructions in my archive: > > Found a fix on my Samsung Galaxy S8+ running Android 8.0 and the latest build of Bluetooth Auto Connect (4.5.4). > > Just install the latest version from the Google Play Store and open it. Click "Profiles" and select "Media Audio (A2DP)". > > Click "Devices" and select your DualShock 4, likely labeled "Wireless Controller". Hope this works for you!
hi
it is a known samsung defect, after 30 seconds, BT controllers produce terrible delay
the solution:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect&hl=en
this thing keeps refreshing the connection, google for the settings, fixed it for me
If you use this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect
Choose the A2DP profile
Go to advanced settings
Retry count: 1
Retry after (sec): 1
Device timeout (sec): 5
Continuous connect (sec): 2
Then go to devices and set the pro controller to ad2p and check the checkbox
Then, simultaneously press A to turn on the pro controller while pressing "connect" in the app, and there shouldn't be lag. If there is, disconnect and try again.
The controller has to have been paired before to do this.
nope. just hope that Motorola actually realizes it exists and fixed it I guess. I think someone mentioned using an app called Bluetooth auto connect or something, but I'm not a fan of using apps to fix things that shouldn't be broken anyway. I'm already using Bluetooth Volume Manager to auto adjust the volume since this phone doesn't seem to remember the volume like my old one did.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect
That's the one they're recommending though. I guess I'll try it when I get sick if it not auto connecting. It only happens like 1 of every 10 times for me, so I just live with it. When I reboot it reconnects right away.
I suspect the randomness comes from one of the apps being updated automatically and briefly becoming the default. I'd suggest uninstalling or disabling all non-Spotify apps
Failing that, an app link this might help: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect
Check out the Bluetooth auto connect app. That allows you to enable the media audio upon connect. That might solve your probleem.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect
This app Bluetooth Auto Connect has Tasker integration. I've never used it so I can't say for sure if it does what you need.
Some (or all) of it may be device and OS dependent as well. Here is the <strong>Bluetooth Auto Connect</strong> app/plugin I mentioned. Looks up to date with recent update a few months back.
However in reading the more recent reviews some folks are having issues with it, actually the same issue you describe with AutoTools. So I'm not sure where the stumbling block is with forcing a BT connect, but if neither of these can do it, not sure what to try next :/
Try using Bluetooth Auto Connect
Might have to do some looking around on how to configure (haven't used it in a while) but many ppl have had this problem (including myself on another device) and this resolved the issue
Good luck
Using note 8 I got the DS4 controller working with ppsspp only when using the bluetooth auto connect app and autoconnect set to under 30 seconds otherwise there will be an unusable amount of input lag. It also worked with the OTG cable without changing any settings or needing button remappings.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect&hl=en
> Its a shame theres not an android tv app the forces a connection
I might try Bluetooth Auto Connect later on. I'll let you know how it goes.
But for the moment, I'm going to look in the local shops to see if they have any cheap, light wireless headphones with a charging station which plugs into the mini-jack output of the TV (I'm lucky enough to have one - a lot of TVs don't).
When connecting a BT device, you can choose whether to allow calls, media playback, contacts etc. It would be nice if I could change which profiles a BT device can use through AutoTools. I'm currently using Bluetooth Auto Connect to solve the problem.
Not a Tasker solution, but I found that the app Bluetooth Auto Connect was able to solve e my problem. I prioritized my devices such that my watch was last in the list. I also selected both media and phone audio for my headset/car and only phone audio for my watch. I checked the boxes to run when a device connects or disconnects. Now when I connect to my car or headset, I can get calls on those instead of my watch.
Yeah, I hear you there. It's frustrating that there's no easier way to give some kind of priority to the list of BT devices. That said, you can also try this app: Bluetooth Auto Connect
And if you're curious what I'm on about the whole Android limitation thing: https://developer.android.com/reference/android/bluetooth/BluetoothA2dp.html
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect&hl=en
Had been looking for a way to fix latency when playing emulators on my phone with the joycon, worked like a charm on my S5
I was in the same boat as you, where I really wanted to get the controller but didn't want to spend the money on it. I ended up syncing my PS4 controller and installing Bluetooth Auto Connect to fix the input lag. If you happen to have a PS4 controller, I highly recommend it.
Try this
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect
It's an 'auto connect' app that some have been using to reduce lag while using a ds4 on Android. Just turn on Bluetooth in the app, then after your device is found, tap 'connect' and it should solve the problem. If that doesn't work, try this
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.waylonhuang.bluetoothpair
Similar principle, simpler GUI, but I don't now if it'll correct your lag problem.
I just checked out Bluetooth Auto Connect and it seems to be doing its' job. I'm just about to jump in my car. I'll let you know the results.
i think there is an app called bluetooth auto connect that solves most connection and latency issues with a lot of phones. Worth giving it a try to see if it will help.
LinkMe: bluetooth auto connect
Edit: or i could just link it my damn self. LINK
Not a widget, but I found this app that lets you set up profiles for when/where to auto-connect to specific devices. Let me know if that helps! If not, I'll do some more digging. :)
EDIT: Alternatively, you could also pin the bluetooth settings to your home screen. Although this is also not a widget in the way you're wanting, it functionally shouldn't be very different. Again, just give me a heads up if these things aren't working for you in they way you want!
I use either an 8bitdo SNES30 or Zero controller with my Note 5 pretty often. I found that I had lag issues after about 5 minutes of gameplay. After some quick google research, I learned that the phone was dropping the controller's bluetooth connection to non-priority after a few minutes (if I remember correctly). Ended up downloading the Bluetooth Auto Connect app. In the app you want to check the boxes for Set Last Device, Bluetooth On, and Use setPriority() (found in the Advanced Options). Open the app once you have the controller connected (and the aforementioned boxes checked), then tap the part right at the top that says "Connect - Initiate the connection procedure based on your settings", and hopefully the lag your getting will disappear like it did for me.
There's is a fix here it worked for me. But i never had that hard of a time with lag using ds4 here's the app link
There's a great plugin for Tasker called Bluetooth Autoconnect which allows you to specify what bluetooth device you would like to connect to in your task (if you have more than one!)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect
No probs. There's a great plugin for Tasker called Bluetooth Autoconnect which allows you to specify what bluetooth device you would like to connect to in your task (if you have more than one!)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect
This app fixes the connection priorities for me. I have a Nexus 6, Huawei Watch, and a Prius, and this issue was pissing me off.
In app settings, make sure Profiles include A2DP and HSP, and put car above watch in Devices. Check "Device Disconnected" and "Device Connected".
I did something similar with the Bluetooth Auto Connect Plugin.
I haven't used it on Marshmallow though, so if that's the version of Android you have as well, I can't speak for how well it works. But basically, you set up 'audio profiles' within the task, so on one task, the profile for your headset could be phone and media, but on this task, you would set the profile for phone, and the car bluetooth to media.
So I think I found out what was wrong with my two issues:
The SD card was completely burned out. Corrupted through and through. I have no doubt in my mind this was the phones doing in one way or another.
Bluetooth was a little trickier. I tried some attempts in editing system files with no such luck. I then stumbled upon this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect
Now I have absolutely no issues with connectivity.
All in all CM13 has made my phone usable once again.
Do you have tasker? Maybe try bt auto connect and use tasker to automatically change the audio device depending on the app you launch.
It does seem like a silly thing for Google to have overlooked, but once a Bluetooth device is connected is stays connected until you turn if off or disconnect. That works fine for most things, but not for a device that is basically always on like your watch.
I think a script for Tasker and the Secure Settings plugin is the best solution.
For those that want something simpler and free I recommend Bluetooth Auto Connect. It is slower and a bit less reliable, but it does seem to work reasonably well.
Do you have a smart watch? Second question: how many devices are paired to your phone? I'm mean total, like a BT speaker in your house or something.
Download this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect
You can set priority levels for your Bluetooth connections. I have mine set that when it connects to my car that's top priority. When I leave my car, it switches to my Huawei watch.
Even if you don't have any of that, try this app. It fixed all of my issues. Worth a shot.
The following app worked well for me for auto connecting to multiple devices, better than the Tasker solution I had come up with. I'm guessing it would suffice Bluetooth Auto Connect
Thanks /u/RtuDtu . Here are cleaner links for the Google Play apps:
Bluetooth Auto Connect
UniqTec
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect
Moonlight Game Streaming
Cameron Gutman
Try this:
On the tablet, use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect&hl=en to automatically connect to the HU with only the Media Audio profile
EDIT: according to the manual:
"You can register cell phones on this unit. Up to 5 cell phones can be registered on the unit. The order of connection precedence is always 1 to 5. When a cell phone is added or deleted, the order of connection precedence is updated."
I don't think its possible to connect 2 at the same time...
Bluetooth Auto Connect solved the problem with my Pebble Steel and Samsung Note 3 on Android 5.. initially. Now reconnection as intermittent as before.
>> justinionn91d, 11h3 If you're on Android, use Bluetooth Auto Connect.

For my Note 4, I used the procedure outlined here:
http://android.wonderhowto.com/how-to/connect-your-ps4-controller-your-android-device-for-easier-gameplay-0160721/
It took a few tries, but it finally did pair up.
Things functioned better after I downloaded an app called "Bluetooth Auto Connect", helped the pairing process and decreased input lag.
I am upgrading to a Note 5 this week, I will make sure to let you know if I get it working.
oh and if you want to take it a step further you can download an app called bluetooth auto connect, which basically ensures that your BT remote is connected at all times after a shutdown, reboot, sleep state, etc. Its not required but if you really want to ensure your BT device remains connected its a good way to go. here's a link to the one described: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect&hl=en
I was having same issue in my car. Bluetooth looks like connected successfully but there was no audio. I installed Bluetooth Auto Connect from Play Store and it is working fine now.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect&hl=en
Install Bluetooth Auto Connect. It'll automatically reconnect your Pebble if it becomes disconnected:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect
And your Bluetooth may be being toggled on & off by another app, with a battery-saving "low power mode."
Install AutomateIt, and create a rule to turn on Bluetooth if it's been turned off for five seconds.

Give it a go, at least for a day, and see if that helps.
I haven't received my G yet but I have had this problem with other phones, mainly Samsung. There's an app called Bluetooth Auto Connect by UniqTec in the Play Store that should resolve your problems. There are a few other 'event' options to have the app auto connect to a bluetooth device.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect
The app Bluetooth Auto Connect will do this for you. You can use it from Tasker, but you may find it does what you want without having to resort to Tasker. For example, you can have it try to connect each time you turn the phone on.
However, you may have just as good a result creating a task that turns off your Bluetooth, waits a second, and turns it back on.
You need to use a plugin like Bluetooth Auto Connect
This integrates with Tasker as an Action, so just set it in a loop with a wait statement to just keep hammering away at it, until it connects to the device(s) you select in the plugin configuration.
To test for if it connects create a Profile with State>BT Connected>YourDevice
Then link it to an Action that Stops the loop Action you created above.
This is probably a problem with lollipop itself rather than Sony's "enhancements". I have read that others have had luck with this app although I haven't tried it myself at I don't use BT. Hope it works for you my friend.
I was having a problem with this when I first got my band. I believe it was interference from the CNC machines I work on, because it never seemed to happen at home.
After looking around for a solution, I settled on using Bluetooth Auto Connect and have not had a problem since.
I'm not using Smart Lock though, so have not had any issues with that.
this has been an issue for quite a while. this is has been suggested to help!
Tasker does not have a built-in Bluetooth connection action. Try this app.
Bluetooth Auto Connect fixes it. You should just have to have it open while you pair the controller.
The plugin/app <strong>Bluetooth Auto-Connect</strong> can force the Bluetooth connection, but you may not need to do this at all actually.
What you would do is add a "Cooldown Time" to the Profile (long click Profile name, click slider icon ) to get to "Profile Settings". Then also add a "Wait" Action inside the Task.
Would look like this:
PROFILE: State > Bluetooth Connected: <your car> (PROFILE SETTINGS > Cooldown Time: 30 seconds)
TASK: A1. Bluetooth: Set Off
A2. Wait 5 Seconds
A3. Bluetooth: Set On
This way when the Bluetooth reconnects to the car after it's been turned back on (in A3) the Profile will still be in "Timeout / Cooldown" so it won't re-trigger. Just make sure the Cooldown Time in the Profile is longer than what you set the wait for in A2 of the Task.
You could maybe tighten the timeframe up a bit (or you may want it quite longer). I just used 30 seconds cooldown to illustrate the point.
If I recall correctly this app fixed issues with high latency ps4 controls for many a while back https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect
There's an app/plugin named "Bluetooth AutoConnect" which can force (in most cases) a connect to a specific BT device.
Use Bluetooth auto connect plugin with tasker
you can try out bluetootj autoconnect on the plau store. it fixes the ds4 input lag so it might also fix the joy cons
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect
not tasker, but this app works
this might help you https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect&hl=en
Checkout Bluetooth AutoConnect might solve most of the problem. Integrates with Tasker.
This works really well for me: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect
I used this plugin before and it seemed to work ok for me at the time: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect Hook that up to a floating icon and it should work :)
Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect
If the device is present, it's connected automatically.
I mean like the app, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect
I'm using this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect
Use the app 'Bluetooth auto connect' https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect
> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect
I am going to try this as well. Did it solve your problem?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect
This seems to be working for me. Switching between Plantronics, car, watch on that priority.
I had a similar issue when the phone was released but installed this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect and it seemed to help.
Have you ever tried the following? Bluetooth Auto Connect https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect
Yea .. bluetooth auto connect will sort out your problems https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect&hl=en_GB
There is also the app/plugin <strong>Bluetooth AutoConnect</strong> that lets you choose the device to connect to using Tasker.
While I'm not having this issue, you might want to check out Bluetooth auto connect to work around it https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect
If you don't have Tasker, and/or don't want it, I used this light app when I had previous issues with Bluetooth connectivity:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect
This app allows you to define specific Bluetooth connection combinations as profiles. Tasker can conditionally apply them.
See Bluetooth Auto Connect: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect
Have you tried installing Bluetooth Auto Connect on your phone, if you're on Android?
