Could you provide the .ipa to make it easier to sideload through AltStore? That would give more people a chance to use it since it's a relatively simpler process.
If AltStore does Watch apps anyway, I'm not sure.
https://altstore.io It's an alternative App Store you can install on your device and it basically acts like Xcode and downloads apps, signs them on your PC via WiFi and sends it back to your phone over WiFi for installing using iTunes WiFi Sync.
Exactly what u/rajrdajr said, without a developer account ($100 a year) you can still sideload apps but they expire rather quickly. You're going to want to use AltServer (https://altstore.io/) if you'd like to keep sideloaded apps for longer, but I'm not sure if it works for Apple Watch apps?
Adding that if you want to sideload apps without jailbreaking your device, you can use AltStore (you will need to refresh the apps every 7 days if you don't have a developer account, or 1 year if you have one; otherwise, you won't be able to open the app until you refresh it)
When its ready, people could distribute and install it with altstore. https://altstore.io. A bit of a setup but not to crazy. Looking forward to your solution as a fellow mobile dev. I couldnt get past the mouse capture issue, when I tried.
Isn’t Panels a one time purchase? At least it was like that when I bought it, and with the new update that allows page streaming, it’s pretty neat! The only downside is that OPDS clients (like Panels, Chunky) don’t sync back read progress to the Komga server.
But if you want komga aware apps that sync the read progress back to the server, there is Klutter (it’s still in early development, so it’s missing features like changing the reading direction for manga), that’s purpose built for Komga, kind of like the mobile version of the web client. You can find the TestFlight link in Komga’a discord!
There is also Paperback which is a general purpose manga/comic reader, that has an extension for Komga. I never quite managed to make it work for me, I often get “could not load page” errors while reading comic volumes, but YMMV. You can also find the TestFlight in their discord, or install the app with AltStore. It also currently only syncs read progress per book, not per page, so for multi chapter volumes it takes a while to mark it as read on the server.
Alt Store to be able to do upload them to phone.
Not too complicated, but you will need to have a PC/Mac and iCloud and iTunes downloaded from Apple if on Windows.
iOS Ninja to find the IPAs to side load.
It’s pretty simple to do and there is a bunch of other apps that have IPAs on that site as well. That site is reputable. I have used Cercube for years and it works great. Also, check out r/sideloaded
I’m not sure how buildstore works and you should probably ask this on their subreddit, i imagine most people use Altstore to use Delta, you can install it using a mac or windows PC from here, it’s free and made by the same developer that made delta, it also has auto-revoking so it shouldn’t be a problem (see website for details), hope this helped.
You have a few options, but you will need to sideload it. The most complicated initially but overall easiest to maintain is AltStore. Another nice piece of software that is easy to use but will require you to manually reinstall every week is Sideloadly. Your third option would be a third party signing service, but that would cost money where as the others are free.
https://altstore.io go to this link and follow the instructions. Then once you have altstore downloaded on your phone, search for Delta and download it like you would any app. Then go online to find the rom of whatever you want to play and you’re all set. Delta is actually made by the same guy that made GBA4ios as is the altstore
If you’re on iPhone and feel like trying this out:
You can install AltStore to get Delta, which is a multi system emulator that can run DS games as well. It's a bit of a pain to set it up, and it requires the apps to be refreshed every 7 days, but it works and it doesn't require jailbreak.
No they don't. The App Store doesn't allow storefronts. So you can get Google Play Music, but the store part is removed. And there are no alternative app stores allowed on iOS.
However, you can install apps outside the App Store. You can sideload just like you can on Android. The catch is, first you have to install a trust certificate, which allows the person who wrote it to modify system settings. So you have to absolutely trust who you install apps from. We probably can't link it here, but there are a couple sites where you rent a developer certificate and then you can install pirated apps. I don't mess with it at all, but I've seen the site. They have paid apps for free, and they have "++" versions of apps that do things like disable the ads or give you premium features for free.
Unfortunately, there are no good third-party app stores for iOS. There really aren't for Android, either. I mean, I like Fdroid as much as the next guy, but it's not the content that's great, it's the idea. Amazon Appstore is hot garbage, selling apps that are free in the Play Store because apparently anyone can download free apps from Google Play and then sell them on Amazon. Just like how a lot of the paid mods in Fallout 4 and mostly Skyrim are just copied from free mods.
The one sore spot with iOS is Apple's blanket ban on emulators, but there's an alternative app store whose sole job is to serve up an emulator that emulates all the Nintendo systems up to but not including the NDS (including it if you pay). Due to iOS restrictions, you have to redo the process every 7 days, but the emulator backs everything up to Google Drive, so if you lose it, when you get it back, it just re-downloads everything, including your save games, so you lose nothing. 99% sure we can link that since it's not piracy-related: AltStore
https://AltStore.io - follow the instructions on their website it shouldn’t be too hard. You just use the max or Windows app to install AltStore onto you phone and keep AltServer running over the same Wifi.
Yeah for sure! The easiest (and free) way is through AltStore, which is made by the same guy who created GBA4iOS. The “catch” is that the apps are only signed for 7 days, but you refresh them yourself through wifi and your PC. I use Signulous which costs money, but the apps are signed for a year instead.
If you have a computer (Windows or Mac) you can try AltStore
The idea is that you install a lightweight server on your computer and it keeps running in the background, refreshing the sideloaded apps on your iPad when needed.
It's still jumping through hoops, but if you use your computer frequently it should feel pretty seamless.
Check out https://altstore.io and r/AltStore . Shortly you install altserver to a laptop/pc with WiFi, or Mac. And then from the pc you install AltStore to an ipad, iPhone… With AltStore you can side load ipa files, for example cercube (YouTube without ads) or what I did is a geometry dash ipa which I modified. You have to connect to the pc with altserver once a week to refresh apps so you can use them, refreshing them takes like half a minute, it’s totally worth it
Yes, it’s called Cercube for YouTube. The most updated ipa (apks for iOS) will generally pop up here since members of this subreddit update it. Cercube itself is meant for jailbroken users but it can be put into a youtube ipa to “sideload” (iOS has restrictions on installing random ipa files, but it can be circumvented using a computer and AltStore). It only signs the app for 7 days, so you’ll need to be by your computer once a week to refresh the signature before you can’t use the app.
Sideloadly from iosgods, AltStore (https://altstore.io), Rickpactor from appdb, and 3utools are your options for sideloading in current year.
AltStore only works on Mac 10.15+ or Windows 10 and Rickpactor works on Windows 7 and some version of Mac (but they support M1 if you have that). Sideloadly just got full 2FA support and M1 support. If you’re on the iOS 15 beta you can’t sideload yet. AltStore is working on implementing sideloading on the beta, but I know Sideloadly is waiting until the full release of iOS 15 to add support.
Do you have a computer? Go to https://altstore.io to start. You need to download the Alt Store, and then connect your iPhone via a USB. Then open the system tray (small arrow on the right side of the taskbar for Windows, sorry idk about Mac). Right click on the Alt Store icon and select install Alt store, and then select your iPhone. Once the app downloads, you won’t be able to launch it yet. Go to iPhone settings, General, Device Management, and select trust. Then launch Alt Store and download Delta through there.
It works just fine without iCloud to us the phone fully in my experience. I haven't used my iPad with iCloud much beside testing. It really is fine.
Regarding the Apple ID that is a little more complicated. There are two good options. Apple IDs can be made very privately as they don't use a non resettable ID for spam/scam protection. Restoring an iPhone from iTunes resets this ID and the account creation limit. It doesn't require an information to be genuine. It asks for a phone number, email, address etc for billing reasons with the store. However none of this data is verified you can fill in useless garbage like 578-287-2684(bashing on my keyboard) and it works(at least setting up on the phone). This also means iCloud emails aren't hard to get.
The other option is using https://altstore.io/ which is an open source app store that brings in $15k of donations a month. Not super traditional and side loading does have some limits, but it does allow you to get great FOSS apps like UTM.
I make a fake Apple ID and then use it with the App Store without iCloud(though consider your threat model here)
Sure. You download altstore and the patcher here https://altstore.io Then you download the ipa file for ispoofer here https://www.ispoofer.com/how-to-install-ios-app-via-altstore/
You can find a youtube tutorial but also read both links because they have instructions.
No one here will recommend you this because sometimes people get banned but I'm not spending any money. Look for spoofer rules, like respecting cooldown and all that.
You can install altstore with your Mac and side load the ispoofer .ipa onto your phone. Or jailbreak your phone and use a GPS faking app along side the legit pogo app. I recommend the latter.
If you have a Windows or Mac computer you can easily install the Delta emulator without jailbreaking your phone which plays all the game boy Pokémon’s (and 1000s of other games as well). - AltStore
" You’ll still have normal access to everything until the end of the month. At that point, you’ll lose access to beta apps, the AltStore Discord ($5+ patrons), and your name will no longer be listed in AltStore ($10 patrons). "
Source: https://altstore.io/faq/
This is the app’s pc link: https://altstore.io/ This is manga bird’s ipa links, if one of them doesn’t work try the other: http://www.mangabirdapp.com/apks/mangareader_1.305.ipa — http://www.mangabirdapp.com/apks/mangabird.ipa
And you need iCloud and iTunes on your pc, as for how you get the app on your phone you connect it with a charger to the pc and open the it doesn’t have a window it’s down by the sound and internet you click it’s icon and then click your phone’s name and then it gets downloaded on your phone and then you download the ipa links then to the app, and that’s it.
Different creator, but same idea https://github.com/qnblackcat/uYouPlus/releases
You’d have to install it yourself tho. No jailbreak required but still takes like two minutes.
Here is the program you need to install on your pc/Mac: https://altstore.io It is also open source, so you can go to the GitHub repo and compile it yourself if you want.
Here is a tutorial: https://youtu.be/AavQD5uyt1I
Apple doesn’t allow emulators on their AppStore, so you have two main options:
1) A web-based emulator like Eclipse that is a website you add to your home screen. Pros: simpler to use than other options. Cons: because it is a website, it is subject to limitations as opposed to taking full advantage of your phone’s hardware.
2) Sideloading an app like Delta using AltStore. Pros: better performance because it is a proper app. Cons: more complicated to set up and maintain.
But there is an AltStore Patreon and Riley (I assume it's Riley Testut who's running the AltStore Twitter) says it's for patrons. AltStore's website shows 1.4.6 as the newest release and the beta version of the website shows 1.4.3 beta as the newest beta.
I’ve never jailbroken my phone and AltStore works great. It’s a tool for sideloading apps and you can download .ipa files with it. Delta is available in the app. The only thing is you need a computer. Here’s the link if you wanna try it out: https://altstore.io
First go to https://AltStore.io and install AltServer on your computer. Use it to install AltStore onto your iPhone then download the RebornAgain (1.7) ipa in the link above. Sign into AltStore using any Apple ID that you have, it doesn’t have to be the one that you use with the App Store. Now click the + at the top left of the My Apps tab inside AltStore and add the RebornAgain ipa file you just downloaded and it’ll begin installing. Choose “remove extensions” when it prompts you and you’re good to go. Enjoy the app.
There are three options, 1: Use a signing service(Paid) 2: Use Altstore(Free but needs a computer) 3: Use Sideloadly(Free but needs a computer and to be redone every 7 days)
Personal I use altstore. Here is the link: https://altstore.io/ Install to your computer with itunes and icloud installed from APPLES WEBSITE not the microsoft store if on windows. Login in to itunes but not icloud. Plug your phone into the computer and open it in itunes, if you scroll down click Sync with this iPhone over Wi-Fi. Exit itunes. Run altserver as administrator and click its icon in the bottom left. Mouse over Install AltStore and click the name of your iPhone. Sign in with your apple ID or a burner if you can and give it some time to install. On your phone, go to settings->general scroll down and tap Profile & Device Mangment, tap the email of the apple id. Click trust, and trust again if it pops up. Go to the Altstore app now and go to my apps. Tap the plus in the top left. It will open the files app and choose the .ipa file for spotify++. When it asks for your sign in, use the same sign in as the one used to login to itunes and altserver. Click remove app extensions when it pops up. After some time it will finish and the app will pop up on your screen. Use your side loaded app as a normal app. Two limitations 1: You need your phone to be connected on the same wifi or to a cable to your computer if you install or refresh apps which will be needed every 7 days. 2: You can only install 2 apps at a time in addition to altstore with this method.
Haven't encountered that error, so I can't say what went wrong.
Some things you can try:
use Delta on iOS, it can emulate GBA-NDS games, you can find it on Altstore. if you need to emulate something different try with Provenance. For Wii emulation look for Dolphin iOS. If you need to emulate something different tell me and i’ll try to look for something for you
if you just need the roms go on r/ROMS
You can use Altstore and run the emulator through Delta- no jailbreak required, but you’ll need access to a windows/mac for the first time installation and to refresh your developer account weekly (not sure if this can be done through Altstore on its own though)
Link- https://altstore.io
You will need to sideload it. Also there is a better app called iTorrent (at least its better for me). You will need to grab the IPA onto your iPhone files, and head over to altstore.io on a computer.
From there it's pretty simple, just sideload iTorrent/Transmission using altstore and you're good! Beware that you must repeat this process once every 7 days or the app will stop working - this is a limitation imposed by Apple and there is no way to get around it.
Plot twist: There actually is a way! But it's complicated. If you got an
•iPhone X or lower on iOS 14.6 or lower
Or
•iPhone Xs or newer on iOS 14.3 or lower
Then you can jailbreak! It's similar to an Android "root" but way cooler. It will let you install any app you want (even cracked ones) with ease and without the need to resign every week. You will also be able to install app tweaks like YouTube+ or Instagram+ and all that kinda stuff. Also there are quite a few system mods that work beautifully.
If you have a compatible device let me know and I'll walk you through it, or head over to r/jailbreak
I use AltStore for this and it works on the latest iOS version. This runs a lightweight service called AltServer on a Mac or Windows 10 computer and installs the AltStore app on your iOS device.
Once the AltStore app is installed, you can use it to install ipa files. To do this, download the ipa to your device, go to AltStore’s “My Apps” tab, tap the plus at the top left of the screen, and choose the ipa file.
The RetroArch ipa can be found here. Get the one for iOS 11 and later.
The advantage of AltServer/AltStore is that it will auto-refresh your sideloaded apps’ provisioning profiles whenever you are on the same network as the computer running AltServer. With most other solutions I’ve seen, you have to manually refresh the provisioning every 7 days, which can be a hassle.
Install Altstore: altstore.io If you have a non-mac, install the Windwos Version, If you have a mac, Install the macos version. Open It (Install if Windows) and then go to your taskbar (Windows [You'll need Windows 10]) or Top bar thing (MacOS [You'll need Catalina]). After that, you will see a little AltStore Icon, Click that (If on Windows, right Click), then select install Altstore>-USERNAME-'s iPad (Or whatever you called your iPad). After it installs, you will see the AltStore App in your homescreen. Open It and then Close it (to automatically configure with your device). Then go to retroarch.com on your iPad, install the ios version (If there is an iPad version beside the iOS version, install that). And wait until the .ipa file downloads. When It's downloaded, open It with AltStore (Remember to stay connnected to your pc/mac [AND DON'T CLOSE ALTSTORE ON PC/MAC] while installing RetroArch!).
Sure! You can side load two apps at a time and that has to be refreshed once every 7 days if you have a normal Apple ID (not a developer account... otherwise it is extended to 365 days)
Here is the website for AltStore- https://AltStore.io
Hi, If you are currently using AltStore, it is a problem on Apple’s side or AltStore’s side I am pretty sure. The AltStore team are working hard to get the tweaked app store back up, and the stable release for AltStore 1.4.* should come out soon. There is also a beta version of 1.4.* which does work, but do not expect full functionality. https://altstore.io/altserver/beta/ https://twitter.com/altstoreio/status/1356011569675644931
First of all, please use paragraphs next time. It was hard to figure out what you were even asking.
As for installing Delta, just download AltStore that'll then let you install Delta from there and lets you keep it without getting revoked. You'll need a computer to install AltStore though and once you have both that plus Delta, you'll have to refresh the app once every 7 days.
AltStore basically tricks Apple into thinking you're a developer and Delta is "your" app. The catch though is if you use a non-developer Apple ID, you can have only up to three apps signed and you must re-sign every 7 days. As long as you have AltServer running on your computer and your phone on the same wifi once a week, it's no big deal though.
Your best option is probably finding a modded Instagram IPA and installing it via Altstore. Unless you're jailbroken, in which case this tweak looks promising and seems to be open source.
If you go the Altstore route, unfortunately if your phone is away from your computer for more than 7 days, the app will expire. Unfortunately Apple makes sideloading very cumbersome.
I found links in your comment that were not hyperlinked:
I did the honors for you.
^delete ^| ^information ^| ^<3
The best way (in my opinion) is by using AltStore to sideload Delta. there is no official App Store way to use emulators on iOS.
Another alternative would be using Steam Link to stream an emulator from your PC, but thats not nearly as convenient.
You have to initially install AltStore via a PC (you can get AltServer from https://AltStore.io), then once AltStore is installed on your device, make sure you’ve update it to the latest version by going to to the “my apps” tab in AltStore on your phone.
After AltStore is up to date, make sure you’ve got the latest version of [[AltDaemon]] from Dynastic repo.
This should solve your issue. Hope the info helps!
Edit: I just saw your iOS 14 comment. I can’t verify everything works on iOS 14, but I’m fairly sure AltStore 1.4 now supports iOS 14.
sudo apt-get remove checkra1n. Sorry got mixed up. Yes do that. to get unc0ver, install altstore (altstore.io) and then sign in through apple id. then install altstore into ur device. then go into altstore app on device and sign in. then go to unc0ver.dev and there should be a button under the blue one that says open in altsote. let it install and go trust the app (settings-general-profiles and device management-ur apple id- trust)
The Big Sur Compatibility Beta does not use the Mail plugin, and works perfectly fine on Big Sur, even if it's patched.
You just have to add `amfi_get_out_of_my_way=1` to your boot args.
`nvram boot-args="-no_compact_check amfi_get_out_of_my_way=1"`
there's some kind of software missing, defective or you've installed the wrong (outdated) version of something which is needed for altstore. did you follow the installtion instructions?
I think you might mean ipsw and it can be found at ipsw.me
if you mean the application file for uncover, it is found at unc0ver.dev
if you mean the application for altstore, it is found at altstore.io
Download altstore from here and install it on your phone, then download the IPA for unc0ver and open it in altstore. If you need help see this video. You can also use checkra1n if you are not on A12 or A13
Idk about the data part, but if you want to use Delta without the app getting revoked, then use AltStore. https://altstore.io/faq/. That’s a link to how to install it. You will need to renew your certificate once a week but it’s worth it.
All it involves is downloading altstore on your computer, plugging in your iPhone to the computer, installing altstore on your phone, then getting Spotlife (modded spotify, you'll need telegram to access the channel and download it though) and uYou+ (modded youtube) on your phone then installing it on the altstore app on your phone. You will need to sign the apps with a computer every 7 days though, which cannot be avoided without paying. Highly recommend checking out r/sideloaded for more info and help, or you can PM me.
thanks for trying to help! 8]
sadly, i tried both your v1.5b5 Google Drive link and also the altstore.io link below to 1.4.3b [LEGIT.], and neither works for my XR on 13.3. i attempted them, as well as the newest update, on both my Win10 and macOS computers making sure to remove and reaccept the profile in iOS settings in between; i even deleted each version with a paid uninstaller to start freshest...
NOTHING.WORKS.

I'm using uYou (tweak form) since I'm jailbroken.
For uYou+ on stock iOS you have to sideload it via AltStore or some other SW for sideloading. Here is Github repo with info, and here you can get Altstore.
One inconvenient thing is you have to manually renew certificate for uYou+ and Altstore once a week in Altstore app on your iDevice (you have to be on same WiFi as computer running Altserver and do 3 clicks in Altstore app, nothing difficult)
Then you can install Taurine with AltStore or Sideloadly just like you did with Unc0ver. Open Taurine, enable restore rootFS and hit the jailbreak button. After the reboot open Taurine again and disable restore rootFS if not already disabled. Hit jailbreak again and follow the jailbreak process.
Checkra1n has some problems with A7 devices. I recommend you to use Chimera you can sign it with AltStore or if that doesn’t work Sideloadly.
I only used the ad free YouTube. Ipa is the file for the app and you can only download it from a store which hosts sideloaded apps. There's lots of different ones you can choose, but I used altstore.
https://altstore.io/ - they have a guide on their website which explains how to set it up.
Nice! I’ve got the 13 Pro Max 512gb as well but in graphite.
I also came from OP phones. Have had OP phones since the 3T, (had the 7 Pro as well lol) and I actually switched from the 9 Pro due to the whole OPPO/ColorOS software debacle. It’s been a great switch, I do miss the back button dearly however, and a few small OOS11 features.
I’d checkout AltStore I found this was the easiest app to sideload. Keep in mind sideloading is different on iOS vs Android, but you don’t need to jailbreak to sideload, however, you only get a max of 3 apps to sideload with a free personal developer account (Apple limit). If you are wanting to sideload more apps, checkout AppDB. You have to pay yearly for a developer account, if you’d like more than 3 sideloaded apps total.
I don’t know too much about how that works/how much that costs as I personally only really need 2 apps sideloaded.
No restrictions; it’s the least restrictive in years...
I would recommend you to install Chimera. It comes with Sileo but it’s more modern and optimized for newer devices. Install Chimera with AltStore or if that doesn’t work try Sideloadly
Fairly straightforward and you could probably find a guide on google if my steps don't work.
Make sure your PC is up and running all day and not sleeping/hibernating. I have my power settings (Settings > System > Power & Sleep) set so that it never goes to sleep since I use it as a server for Plex anyways.
Get the official iTunes app is installed with Wi-Fi tethered to your iPhone/iPad, your phone is on the same wi-fi/lan network as your router, and AltServer for Windows is installed & running.
Side-note, I had to re-enable "iTunes Mobile Device Helper" background tasks and startup programs to get this to work, so double check you didn't disable those from your Start Up settings in Windows (Task Manager > Start Up tab). I did this in the past since my PC is old and can't handle 10,000 startup programs.
Let me know if this works!!
Use https://altstore.io/ on your computer to get AltStore installed on your phone. Then it’s as simple as clicking the “Open in AltStore” button at https://unc0ver.dev/ on your phone while AltServer is still connected on your computer.
First you need Altstore. Just read through the FAQ it has the instructions https://altstore.io/faq/
After its done and you have the Altstore on your phone (you probably need to restart it) go with your phone to this site https://github.com/qnblackcat/uYouPlus scroll down to download and click on open in Altstore, then you just need to wait and it should work.
Afterwards probably you need to restart your phone again but you should have a second youtube app
Also there is similar stuff for PC too in form of browser add ons
I did remember getting the wireless method to work by (having checked that box about connecting over wifi in itunes while connected beforehand as per the website's instructions) & having iTunes open. But it wasn't 100% working every time so I switched back to wired. That was when the feature first released so perhaps it's a lot more stable now.
Leave altserver running in the taskbar, and ensure your windows firewall ain't blocking the connection. Altstore itself on your phone will also try to refresh in the background if it can find Altserver on the same network - so that might be your answer to automation.
I found these details on their site https://altstore.io/faq/. Unfortunately if it doesn't work after all that then it just doesn't, the apple gods aren't shining down on you :(
Altstore does have a widget that you can put on your homescreen to check on the number of days left, so it could reduce a few taps for you if you have to do it manually.
You need jailbreak. You need a few things for this. Head over to https://altstore.io/ on a pc and install AltStore. There is a step-by-step guide on the home page how to do this. After you follow the steps to install AltStore on your phone, head over to unc0ver.dev on your device to install unc0ver via AltStore. Then you can jailbreak you phone
Install Altstore: https://altstore.io/
download the IPA file to your iPhone's Files app. Go to Altstore, click the "+" and click your IPA file. You can have 2 IPAs installed using this method other than Alstore (which you need). You'll also need to refresh your Altstore apps using Altserver at least ever 7 days.
Sideloading is the process of installing apps that aren’t on the official App Store. iOS won’t run apps that aren’t cryptography signed, App Store apps are signed by a registered developer who pays $100 per year for the privilege. Anyone can sign an app they’ve made for their own personal use but the signature will expire after 1 week. AltStore uses this mechanism to sign an app you have downloaded from an unofficial source. AppDB has a good selection but uYou+ for add free YouTube is hosted on GitHub.
Never. You'd have to sideload the app. For example for YouTube the well known sideload YouTube tweak is called uYou.
You have to sideload the app with the help of AltStore https://altstore.io/
To get the IPA from the GitHub : https://github.com/qnblackcat/uYouPlus/releases
There will never be an other solution unfortunately ^^'
As others have said if you install https://altstore.io you can side load https://github.com/qnblackcat/uYouPlus (basically a vanced alternative for the iPhone). You will have to refresh the certificate every week by connecting the phone to the pc but it is doable. Hope it helps
> Missing things like YouTube Vanced
If you have a PC/Mac, you can sideload uYou+ using Sideloadly or AltStore.
It allows you to sign and install ipa files (apk on ios).
There’s a free way to do it but it’s kinda shirt. You can only install 2 apps and you have to update it with a computer every 7 days or it expires
I havent used it, but id assume something like this would work:
Looks like alt server basically will sit on his computer and sync to the phone to keep the app active. Otherwise, they could rebuild weekly with Xcode. Or just pay the $99.
It’s a lot more work than just downloading an apk, but I’ve replaced Vanced with AltStore + uYou (regular or with extras).
If you're technical and can plug your iPhone into a PC every 7 days:
Use https://altstore.io and follow these instructions.
If you can afford $20 / year. Use https://appdb.to and enjoy an easy download. Personally, I use them because it's cheap and I don't have to worry about my app not working every 7 days.
There’s an app for your computer (Mac & Windows) called AltServer that you can use to put AltStore on your phone, that you can use to sideload retroarch.
Here’s the retroarch.ipa file you’ll need to import into altstore:
It’s actually native 🤭.
The game was reverse engineered and somebody ported it to iOS and even tvOS. You can find the installation instructions here. It has controller support.
As for emulators, I would recommend Delta; you can get it from the AltStore. It has NES, SNES, GBA, and DS support. There are other emulators as well, of course.
You're welcome, and what you heard is correct for free Apple Developer accounts. If you want to continue using an expired app, you can resign them by sideloading that app with Sideloadly again. When sideloading an app that's expired, you don't have to delete it from your iPhone to sideload it again. Doing so would lose data such as settings and or progress within the said app. If you use a paid Apple Developer account, the expiration is 1-year instead of 7-days. You can find more information in Sideloadly's Frequently Asked Questions & Answers.
Here are some other things to consider when sideloading apps.
I would also recommend considering AltStore as an alternative to Sideloadly. AltStore allows you to sideload apps from your iPhone if your computer is powered on and set up correctly.
A good replacement for vanced on iPhones is cercube on altstore. I have never used it (Android) but I've heard good things from iPhone users. To install altstore (which is a appstore that contains cercube), you need to sideload it from your computer. Here is the official altstore site with install instructions in the faq: https://altstore.io/
If you have questions, you can also look to the r/altstore subreddit for help.
Since you didn't specify your iOS version I would assume you're not using the UnTether version of Unc0ver. There is something called iOS signing which Apple uses to prevent side-loading apps on their devices. All you need to do is hook your computer up with AltStore and re-sign/download the app via IPA file. If you're on Untether though I would recommend to try opening both the Unc0ver and Untether app.
I don't know of any YouTube videos, but the steps are a lot simpler than people think. I'll list them out below:
You should now have an app called AltStore on your phone! Luckily with this jailbreak, you won't have to do that again.
Now the easy part:
Your phone will become unjailbroken if you ever reboot it, as a safety precaution. But don't worry - none of your tweaks or changes are lost! After you reboot, you'll just need to open up unc0ver again, and click "Jailbreak" once again.
Ok you’ll need to download AltStore https://altstore.io. Once you’ve downloaded and installed AltStore, you can download a cracked version of Spotify from here https://www.reddit.com/r/sideloaded/comments/pag274/release_spotify_wextreme_quality_unlocked/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf. It’s an older version but allows the very high streaming setting. The only downside is that you’ll need to resign it every 7 days. Hope it works.
Here is a tutorial: https://youtu.be/AavQD5uyt1I
You can use tons of emus on iOS. Offhand there is dolphin, ppsspp, retroarch, and more even without a jb. Currently thru the use of altstore you can install your own ipa files and it even has the successor to gba4ios called “delta” as one of its main apps. It does nes, gb, gbc, gba, ds, snes (and maybe more?) these days.
There is always annoyances with iOS, as Apple makes it hard to do. But anyone with half a brain can install an app to do what they want. You can even use xbone/ps4 BT controllers natively with iOS even.
Having luck with emulation issues is more a user problem than an OS problem. If you out here following YouTube vids, you’ve already lost.
You will have to side load unc0ver again and toggle the restore RootFS on and then tap the jailbreak button which will remove the jailbreak. If you have a Mac or Windows computer you can use AltStore.
I'm not an expert as I only got into this a few weeks ago myself, but as far as I can tell you do need a computer to install AltStore, sorry.
I'm also a Musi user, but it's not great as a general purpose YouTube client.
Official PPSSPP website links you here, then you can just get the .ipa file and install it using AltStore if you are not jailbroken (iOS 15 is a little broken for altstore for some people but works just fine for me and it keeps getting updated)
If you want to use an actual app instead of eclipse, you’ll need to sideload it using AltStore. I’d recommend using Delta for emulation over retroarch as it’s an app designed for iOS, but it has a lot less features and custom options than retroarch.
This is Delta for iOS devices.
In case anybody wants to know: You don‘t need to have a Jailbreak to install this emulator. The recommended way is to use Altstore to install Delta for free, but if you download the IPA file from the dev‘s github, you can also use every paid signing service to install Delta for a year, until the subscription to said signing service expires.
