Years...on average a lot years.
PS1 emulation has been on going for more than a 17 years, but has only been available for mobile device since 2011-2012.
PS2 has been around for PC some time now too, but only on Android in the past year; check out Play! for progress reports.
Citra or any other 3DS emu that comes along for Android in the future will be long after Citra is considered stable.
Ive NEVER used it, but Ive heard of citra. https://github.com/citra-emu/citra check out the site for downloads. http://citra-emu.org/ all direct downloads and no BS I can see. Now.... if they work is another story mate.
I've never used emulators on Android, so I don't know personally how to do it, but this link and this google search might get you in the right direction.
You might also be using a GBA emulator that doesn't support external controls. If that seems to be the problem, all I could say would be to try another emulator.
Finally, you might try asking on /r/EmulationOnAndroid .
OBS-Studio in settings, advanced, has the option of automatic remux from mkv to mp4 on Windows and Linux. I imagine it works on MacOS too.
if you still need another program, Handbrake is complete, intuitive, free and open-source.

cheers!
Wouldn't count on it for a while. Developing emulators is a very demanding task which is performed by volunteers who have to reverse engineer hardware. Developing working emulators takes a lot of time and with each console generation it takes more.
RPCS3, for instance, has been in development basically since the PS3 released in 2006 and now in 2020 it's barely reaching 60% playable titles.
I'm sure we'll eventually get a PSVita emulator, but I wouldn't count on it being good for at least another 10 years.
http://www.jabosoft.com/articles/114
This one worked for me, it does have an installer but I've seen no problems with it
On SSF2 I learned you shouldn't move in the waiting room w/sandbag or desyncs can happen. Also not too sure on latency... that seems to be having problems
This is the developer's website, so that's the source right there. You'll need 7-Zip to extract the .7z archive, and that program is also free. If I remember right, you will also need to install either Visual C++ or Visual Basic runtimes from Microsoft's website... I can't remember which one mGBA requires.
To clarify a bit about why 1964 contains project64: Many different emulators use the project64 backend and just create a new frontend and tweak a bit. IMO its best to get project64 to get the best emulator without any bloat.
OK. It looks like there's a remastered version of FF1 and FF2 for Playstation. The best Playstation emulator that I know of is ePSXe and I personally use emuparadise for ROMs: here is an ISO of Final Fantasy Origins.
Next, it looks like the best version of FF3 is going to be on PSP, for which you want PPSSPP. For FF4-9, you're back to Playstation, then PS2 and PCSX2 for 10-12, at which point you have to get the Windows versions or wait until RPCS3 is playable (probably several years in the future).
The only legal way to obtain a pokemon game is to buy the cartridge. As far as the emulators go, there are free ones and paid ones. If you have an Android, John GBC is an excellent choice. There is a free version and a paid version.
You’ll be fine running AetherSX2. But San Andreas has been ported to android. It’ll run a lot better then through emulation. Especially with that phone.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rockstargames.gtasa&hl=en_US&gl=US
Well theoretically any SNES emulator will be able to run any romhack. Even the original SNES is, as long as the hack doesn't exceed the limit of the hardware itself and was designed with that in mind. The only restriction will be for old romhacks, which generally don't work well on accurate emulators (all the more modern emulators you'll find today like Snes9X and Bsnes) nor on the original hardware itself.
The best free SNES emulator on Android probably is Snes9x EX+, it has a simple interface and has no ads. A more complete one is RetroArch, it also can emulate many other systems (NES, Nintendo 64, PS1, PSP, etc) however it is not suitable for beginners.
The easiest way is to apply the hack file to the original rom using a computer and then transfer the rom to Android and play, applying directly on Android can be a bit more work or confusing. If you can a gamepad is also recommended, as the touch control is bad for platform games.
Hi, welcome to Reddit and to this subreddit. Your question doesn't fit on this subreddit because it is exclusively for emulation. So I recommend you ask it in some other subreddit for this, for example r/Android. Don't worry if your post ends up being deleted due to spam or because it's out of the subreddit, just don't keep doing it so you don't end up having your account suspended or blocked.
Just a tip: to clone Apps I use Shelter. It's free and works well, but you can only clone one per App, this is an Android limitation.
Good luck.
Buy the razer iPhone 12 phone case it’s brand name and it’s cheap it helps phone cool off from high temperatures https://www.amazon.com/Arctech-Pro-Black-iPhone-12/dp/B08GS8G57Q/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?crid=1E65K6APP1IQ3&keywords=iphone+12+razer&qid=1660864782&sprefix=iphone+12+razer%2Caps%2C99&sr=8-4
Nope that's not it. It's a plug and play controller that has a darth vader design and is made by Jakks Pacific TV Games. Here's a link of the product visually see it: https://www.amazon.com/Star-Wars-Revenge-Controller-Pacific/dp/B006S9QKHE
Ok I'll give you two good ones for Android My boy! And for Ios Eclipse emulator is really good.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fastemulator.gbafree
For eclipse to be on your home screen you press the share button scroll and there should be a add to home screen button I've done this many times for friends
Your welcome:)
Hi. PS2 is the hardest part of the equation of what you are wanting to emulate.
To emulate it with a PC you’ll need at least an I5 or I7 3rd Gen and a GTX750 TI SFF. A old Dell or HP SFF PC used to work well for doing this. The PC may run $100 and the 750 TI/1050 TI would be about $100. Nowadays though the Best Buy would be getting the RX6400 that just came out for $150.
The other way to go would be to get a small box build AMD box like this one
You can buy a telescopic controller then the controls would be there and your screen would be bigger than the handhelds. The controller may only be $80 or less something like this.
Hello, I am new to this, so there are no ps3 roms available and the ps3 emulator is still in developpement?
Just technically speaking would a UM700 mini pc be able to run ps3 games? https://www.amazon.de/MINISFORUM-Radeon-Graphics-Support-Display/dp/B099NC5Q7C/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8&th=1
Steam Deck if you are lucky enough to find one, should be the best option, but some 'assembly required'.
Other than that, depending on your "tech-savviness" you could try one of the many Portable Retro-Raspberry Pi projects.
If you are looking for Plug'n'Play, I've also seen things like this, but did not try it myself to be able to recommend.
Last, there is always the PocketGo, easy to use and not expensive.
Most people nowadays suggest using their phones. High end phones in the last few years are so powerful they can emulate up to PS2/Wii/3ds and everything below. That being said not all like a controller like this one.
But going that path you want something simple a lot of people look up Powkiddy like this unit. You should browse their site as there are different ones with different power and form factors. All should be sold on Amazon or eBay.

My kid picked up this one for $40 and it works just fine. much happy.
oh. you need to google for the most recent BIOS for the emulator to work. add it into your bios folder.
"roms mania .cc" is clean if you are worried. you only really need the latest bios for your region, but its handy to have others for japanese stuff if you need it
if your going for a raspberry pi, go for a raspberry pi 3B+. you only need to download Retropie https://retropie.org.uk/ and download the corresponding image for the 3B+ (raspberry pi 2/3 image). then you flash the image onto a microsd (32gb i would reccommend) and put that into the pi.
after booting the system, you will be in emulation station, the frontend for the emulators of retropie (retroarch). if you want to add emulators just go into options/retropie-settings/manage packages. dont forget to update the retropie setup script first.
it is that simple, then only thing you need to add roms to /home/retropie/roms/<system name>
dont forget to reboot/restart the pi after adding roms, or updating packages (emulators)
you can also google for youtube videos about this topic - ETA Prime has made a ton of tutorials on how to install Retropie onto the raspberry pi.
But if you _are_ looking for roms, then go to demonsaw and download the app. Once downloaded, open and connect to "Router" 188.209.52.66 and on port 1889 . I'll see you in there if you want 300GB of xbox og roms (of course you can download individual roms)
Sounds like a prototype. Prototypes may not be legal to distribute (no permission from the rightsholder), therefore I can't provide support for them without putting myself in legal jeopardy.
All I can suggest is clearing the bindings and starting fresh. The auto mapper should take care of most of them, sometimes you still have to manually map the triggers.
Download padtest (https://github.com/stenzek/duckstation/raw/master/extras/padtest/padtest.psexe) and drop it in your games directory (it will be scanned), or open the file, and use it to test your bindings.
He asked for emulators not ROMs, so here you go
Retro arch: https://www.retroarch.com/ Best for multiple emulators, let's your download an any emulator core safely and easily
Melon DS: http://melonds.kuribo64.net/ A solid emulator that supports online play needed for some parts of Pokémon
melonDS is the emulator of choice on Windows. Some people use DeSmuME but to me melonDS made so much progress this last year that it has become a no-brainer.
http://melonds.kuribo64.net/downloads.php
https://ci.appveyor.com/project/zeromus/desmume/build/artifacts
melonDS has some setup quirks, find a YouTube guide and follow it to the letter. Once you're set you should be able to figure out the rest intuitively.
As for getting ROMs, obviously this forum can't let us go into details, but usually the first Google results are as good as need be.
Just don't forget to use an adblocker. If you're on Chrome (which disallows adblockers), consider switching to Firefox or Brave.
What version of the app, device, and specific OS or ROM are you using?
Try using the regular version of snes9x EX from the developers website. It's meant for low end devices with less than 1GHz devices.
I use PCSX2, it' very simple to use. You can download it from here: https://pcsx2.net/download.html. Than download a PS2 BIOS, you can find it here: https://romsmania.cc/bios/pcsx2-playstation-2-bios-3. Once you did it download the .iso file of the game that you want to play, open PCSX2 and go on "CDVD" section and select ISO, than go on "ISO selector" and locate it. Go on System, click on "Boot" and it will ask you the BIOS folder, locate it and enjoy the game. Hope this helps.
Edit: I use a Dualshock 4 for it. Search on emulator settings and map it. I think you can also use the keyboard, but I can't help for this. Search on internet if you need it.
Gameboy Advance (GBA) ROMs. Free Download - RomsMania.cc https://romsmania.cc/roms/gameboy-advance GBA ROMs | Emuparadise https://m.emuparadise.me/Nintendo_Gameboy_Advance_ROMs/31
That's the ones I use
Yuzu is the only Switch emulator, and it's only available on Linux and Windows. Most computers can't run it though, so you need a really good computer. For emulation to even be possible, you need a computer that's twice as powerful as the original console, and an iPhone will never cut it (As of right now, and for a long time).
Well that's a new one for me. I have always just used TPB and have never had a problem. I'll bookmark this though.
Thanks.
Don't forget a membership to This Old Computer. https://www.theoldcomputer.com/
http://nestopia.sourceforge.net try that idk if it works though don't own a PC. Strictly tablet and cell phone on my end give it a shot thought... And if that doesn't work... Try http://www.freeroms.com/nes.htm its the site I get my ROMs off of... Emulators from here should definitely work
Yes it's safe, accurate, and simple.
However, not all rom hacks may be fully supported due to how they were coded for specific emulator bahavior in older emulators.
Official Site: https://mgba.io/
Source Code: https://github.com/mgba-emu/mgba
A few things,
1. I don't think you should download emulators from just any old website. It's safer to download from the official website of an emulator or the author's github site.
2. Since you're new to emulation, so I recommend reading a beginner guide like https://fantasyanime.com/emuhelp/intro-to-emulation
3. I'm not an expert on using emulators on a Macintosh, but I've heard good things about OpenEmu http://openemu.org/
Have you tried Openemu? I use it on my Mac and it's so far the best collection of emulators I've ever used. You just drag the roms into the program. I haven't had any issues with roms not working.
There's a new version of ePSXe out, you should give that one a try.
I don't know specifically what error message you're referring to, but with ePSXe, you shouldn't launch the .bin file, but the .cue file instead.
Running emulators is kind of a labour of love. Inevitably, you will need to read guides and wikis on how to configure your machine the best. There will be a lot of reading, a lot of fiddling around, some frustrations, but you can do it if you're patient and open to learning.
http://www.epsxe.com/ for PS1
http://pcsx2.net/ for PS2
Take the time and read the guides and wikis to get the plug-ins configured correctly. You will also most like need to install various versions of visual C++ and make sure that your DirectX and video card drivers are up to date.
I'm playing Final Fantasy 12 right now in full 1080p with 4x anti-aliasing and it feels like a brand new game. It's glorious!
PSX isn't the name of any emulator itself, and that also represents PS1.
If you're looking for PS2, then look at PCSX2. The site you already mentioned works fine, just look under the Direct Download section. There's a red button to choose between HTTP and FTP options.
Buy your own games, and get yourself the PCSX2 PS2 emulator.
Guides can be found after a quick google search, and you'll have to obtain your own games. google searching for the games will find places like ebay where they're purchasable. Also it looks like that if you own a PS3, you can buy the collection of sly cooper games in a pack on the store. im not too sure though as i dont own a ps3 or ps4 and cant go on the store myself to look.
Official PPSSPP website links you here, then you can just get the .ipa file and install it using AltStore if you are not jailbroken (iOS 15 is a little broken for altstore for some people but works just fine for me and it keeps getting updated)
Assuming you have a CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive, you can use a program like ImgBurn or CDBurnerXP to "rip" (copy) the disc onto your computer. Most software will rip as BIN+CUE or ISO. You will be able to use that in a PS1 emulator such as Duckstation or ePSXe.
Alternately, some emulators will let you play the disc directly without ripping it, but I normally don't do it that way.
You will also need a BIOS file like scph5500.bin (NTSC-J) , scph5501.bin (NTSC-U/C) , scph5502.bin (PAL)
What game are trying to play?
https://openmw.org/en/ This is a great open source project. There is an android port available. some peopl have been talking about porting Oblivion using this. https://openmw.org/faq/#alternative_platforms
Sorry to tell you this but after the 8.1 update, the date trick will no longer work. You can though, go pay a subscription to the buildstore(i think that's what it is called) were they will give a you a mock developers license to allow you to "test" their apps. The apps they have on there are apps you could normally only get if you were jail broken but since you have a mock developers license you can install them onto your device. Tons of emulators are available on there. The subscription is 8.99$ per year I think. Edit:link
There are many ways. A super cheap one is to find an old xbox. Mod it and put a bunch of emulators on it. Throw a lager hard drive in it and it will play everything up to N64 games. Brilliant stuff. FREE to Cheap, check Goodwill
On a computer, you can use Steam on windows / Linux and use ICE to add the shortcuts to steam. Depending on your computer you can run everything up to PS2/Wii games. I have mine running genesis, snes, nes, n64, gamecube, wii, ps1, ps2, gameboy, Gameboy DS. I love it. If you configure the emulators correctly, you can run Wii, Gamecube, PS2, PS1 with AAx16, FXAA, at 1080p. I have been running Okami at high settings, it is blowing my mind. A PS2 game that looks like a port for PC at high res and amazing settings. This requires a gaming pc basically. $1,000
There are other options as well. You can get a Rasberry Pi and run Lakka. This is a very, very simple process. You should check it out. $100-150 using xbox360 wired controller
Feel free to PM me as I have been messing with this stuff for over 10 years. Cheers
There is something on Google
Search up Dolphin portable and on portableapps.com website should pop-up and download and install
should work without directx and it works, i have it on my school laptop
Yup, arch has this in community
(ie. stuff packaged by non-devs, but readily avaiable from official mirrors). Also, we have a fork avaiable and packaged (I don't emulate sega, so I can't speak about its quality): https://www.archlinux.org/packages/?sort=&q=gens
Well, I've looked here and probably is a scam (reddit post: ps3mobicom_is_a_total_scam/).
Not only the site is new and lack specific info about emulation, there's no relevant search results and their tweet account retweets scams. Also, the section in the site about downloading games is ridiculous
The only PS3 emulator available now is RPCS3, that is open source and legit. Thre's no PS3 for mobile, probably by limitations of hardware/software
Here's what I did: I got myself a used PS3 for something like 80 bucks (I've seen a few go on Ebay for less than 50 even) and played the non-remastered original (which is like ten bucks used). Still looks fantastic, even at 720p, since it's easily one of the most visually impressive last-gen games. Get some other PS3 exclusives while you're at it, like Gran Turismo 5 and 6, the remaster of Shadow of the Colossus (runs at 1080p), the only complete collection of all Metal Gear games before V (Legacy Collection), Uncharted 1 - 3, Little Big Planet, Infamous 1 and 2, God of War series, etc. PS3 games are really cheap right now and while the user interface is slow and software updates are even slower, it still feels like a pretty modern system.
There won't be a usable PS4 emulator for at least half a decade. Development of an emulator of such a complex system takes time and PCs need to get a whole lot faster to emulate a PS4, since a computer able to emulate such a recent games console needs to be many times faster than the console it's trying to emulate due to emulation overhead.
PS3 emulation via RPCS3 has progressed further and does actually run The Last of Us now, but it's still unstable, has serious glitches and poor performance. It's progressing nicely though, so perhaps in another one to three years, the non-remastered version will be completely playable.
I got this usb n64 controller a couple days ago, near perfect replica, better analog stick than the original. Works amazing with project 64 using the N-rage plugin https://www.amazon.com/LUXMO-PREMIUM-Controller-Controllers-Raspberry/dp/B07QZQNJDT/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=luxmo+premium+n64&qid=1627521370&sr=8-1
If it's something like this laptop. I think you probably should be ok on PS2. And you are either going to run the easier PS3 games or you aren't. Your single core speeds are really holding you back. You should look up your device on youtube and RPCS3. You can also play with Techpowerup Throttlestop when your laptop is plugged in. If the CPU is unlocked you might be able to give it more power and give it more boost. I use this to work with my Xeon CPU.
There are processes to dump your 3DS games into ROMs; if you think you can pull it off, just slavishly follow a step-by-step video on youtube (more info in your PMs).
The other part is the "emulator" itself. The only 3DS emulator of note is called Citra.
Windows/Mac/Linux: https://citra-emu.org/download/
Android phones and tablets: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.citra.citra_emu
If you want to play it on an Android device, Citra is a very demanding piece of software and it's going to require a powerful chip, a Snapdragon 835 at the very least... and you'll definitely want more.
That's not so much the case on computers, not because Citra is miraculously lighter, but because many computers are outrageously powerful compared to phones even when we see them as "productivity" or "non-gaming".
If you wanted to use the physical cartridge into another machine, the term you're looking for is hardware emulation, but I don't think anything like that exists for the 3DS.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.retroarch
retroarch does for certain, batocera and retropie are using retroarch behind the scenes.
Check r/EmulationOnAndroid for better answers to emulation on Android.... As for PS2 emulators on Android, there are only two real emulators DamonPS2 Pro and Play!. DamonPS2 Pro is more advanced, better compatibly, but costs $. Play! is free but not as advanced. You need minimum a device with Snapdragon 835 processor or higher for best performance, anything less you are wasting your time. Also for DamonPS2 Pro specific stuff: r/damonps2
DamonPS2 Pro: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.damonplay.damonps2.pro.ppsspp
Play!: https://purei.org/
I use this app it was the only emulator which ran Pokémon HG smoothly on my Moto E3 Power. It has been so long that I haven't played and I have since upgraded to better phone and am yet to try it. Only bummer is that it requires internet to load quick saves because it shows you ad before you can load quick saves. The app can also adjust the screen and controller layout.
for baldurs gate, there's already a decent native android port: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.beamdog.baldursgateenhancededition&hl=fr_CA a tablet is recommended though.
I use an iBuffalo SNES controller for NES, SNES, GB, GBC, GBA, and NDS games. it works for pretty much everything Nintendo.
Got an xbox 360 and 10 bucks?
this is the absolute best solution, as the Xbox 360 controller is the gold standard for PC controllers. almost every game with controller support will work perfectly with the 360 controller
I don't think you can mention ROM sites here but a quick Google search will give you answers.
To answer your emulator problem https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bubblezapgames.supergnes works great for me
It's based off the Open Source Mupen64+, according to his notes all he added was "...an improved UI, controller overlays, and more accurate texturing for some games."
The only 3 varients of N64 emulators I'm aware of is RetroArch with the Mupen64Plus core, the android app Mupen64Plus FZ, and the newly public beta of Project64.
Ive been using one of these http://www.amazon.co.uk/Android-Quad-Core-fully-loaded-MXIII/dp/B00O0LEQIW got about a dozen n64 games running on it, all work fine but some have more graphical glitches than others, I use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aspieapps.free.emulator to play the games. Kids play 2 player, one on an xbox360 wired controller and one uses a bluetooth game pad
