It's supposed to be a Spanish only feature:
>Choose your term of address
To make your device feel more personal, in Language & Region settings you can choose how you would like to be addressed throughout the system: feminine, masculine, or neuter.
You can find it here, along with many other stock iOS wallpapers.
Nope, this is new. Offline finding in iOS 13 is when the device is not connected to the internet; this one is when your device is totally powered off when lost or stolen.
It used to not say “for 24 hours” though.
https://web.archive.org/web/20210608002227/https://www.apple.com/ios/ios-15-preview/features/
Not sure if that was always the case and they just clarified on the website, or if they actually changed the feature.
https://altstore.io It's an alternative App Store you can install on your device and it basically acts like Xcode and downloads apps, signs them on your PC via WiFi and sends it back to your phone over WiFi for installing using iTunes WiFi Sync.
I have a myQ system as well but it’s linked to my HomeKit setup. You sure that you have the myQ Home Bridge I bought this one on Amazon
So am I tripping or is Apple finally allowing users to not upgrade to a newer version like iOS 15?
> Software Updates
> iOS may now offer a choice between two software update versions in the Settings app. You can update to the latest version of iOS 15 as soon as it’s released for the latest features and most complete set of security updates. Or continue on iOS 14 and still get important security updates.
https://www.apple.com/ios/ios-15-preview/features/
Does this mean that users can choose to remain on iOS 14 (and subsequent versions) indefinitely? Why isn't this being talked about more? This is great for folks who want to wait and watch if the newer version is stable or attractive enough to upgrade to.
Yes > More app and system experiences are enhanced by faster 5G connectivity, including support to back up to iCloud and restore from an iCloud backup
No worries, we were all clueless at one point!
Ever notice how iOS is prominently designed around a white interface?
For years, iOS users have been complaining that a white theme can be harsh on the eyes especially during night time. The idea around a Dark Mode is basically to provide a darker theme to reduce the eye strain accompanied by a white theme.
You're probably seeing it all day because an upcoming release of macOS, called macOS Mojave, has a Dark Mode feature and everyone is wondering why it wasn't announced for iOS 12.
You can read more about macOS Mojave and see Dark Mode for it here: https://www.apple.com/macos/mojave-preview/
Looks like Google Charts from a spreadsheet
If you are a normal user with around 100 apps and using some 10-20 apps simultaneously, you do not need to clear RAM at all.
Let the OS handle this for you. In fact, you might be causing more battery drain if you keep killing apps in the background. Ref: https://lifehacker.com/quitting-apps-in-ios-actually-worsens-battery-life-1560086834
Then again, if you have special needs, please disregard this post.
Happy testing.
My friends and teachers mainly use Messenger, my family (especially older generations) mainly use WhatsApp. I’m a bit of a weird guy, because I deeply refuse to use these apps, amongst a lot of other things people use, but I don’t regret the decision of delete my Facebook account a few years ago and sometime after blocking all Facebook domains.
I was able to convince some people I contact often to switch to Signal first, than we switched to Telegram where I convinced even more people. Switching to Telegram from WhatsApp is very easy btw. since they added an option to import your chats.
And yes, I’d also like to see iMessage on Android.
iOS 15 is incredibly underwhelming but here’s your general overview and full list of features
It's listed on the iOS 13 features page: https://www.apple.com/ios/ios-13-preview/features/
>Independent app views
>
>An app open on iPhone doesn’t affect what is open on the CarPlay screen, so passengers can pick a song on the device while the driver can keep looking at Maps.
Siri can now play music, podcasts, audiobooks, and radio with third-party apps.
Shortcuts are even more powerful, enabling you to interact with your apps in a conversational way.
Save a set of open tabs to Bookmarks so you can quickly reopen them later.
You can customize options for the content you’re sharing, like removing the Live Photo action or location information from a picture you’re sending to a friend.
Siri can now learn the voices of family members using HomePod, so everyone has a personalized experience.
A new option helps slow the rate of battery aging by reducing the time your iPhone spends fully charged. iPhone learns from your daily charging routine so it can wait to finish charging past 80% until you need to use it.
Control who your children can communicate with — and who can communicate with them — throughout the day and during Downtime.
You can now select Wi‑Fi networks and Bluetooth accessories right from Control Center.
The redesigned volume control appears in the upper‑left corner, so it doesn’t interfere with your content.
No issues with my iPhone XS or my iPad Pro on iOS 13.

I’m on a 300/50 Mbps connection and getting a little more than that.
This is not a bug. It was never stated that Siri could translate TO English: "Ask Siri in English how to say something in Chinese, Spanish, French, German, or Italian, and Siri will translate the phrase." https://www.apple.com/ios/ios-11-preview/
iPhone Xs and later: https://www.apple.com/ios/ios-14-preview/features/
>On-device dictation
>
>Keyboard dictation will improve as you use your device, personalizing over time. On-device dictation helps protect your privacy by performing all processing completely offline. Dictation in search uses server-based dictation.^(21)
Next to '21' at the bottom of the page, it says "Available on iPhone XS and later in English (U.S., UK, India, Canada, Australia), Mandarin Chinese (China mainland), Cantonese (Hong Kong), Japanese (Japan), French (France), German (Germany), and Spanish (U.S., Spain, Mexico). Requires download of dictation models. "
Here you go mate: iPhone X stock wallpapers
That's a Google Photos album with all the iPhone X stock wallpapers that were introduced with iOS 11 😊
As far as official information, I’ve got this blurb from the list of new features;
> SharePlay: Share your screen Share your screen to bring web pages, apps, and more into your conversation on FaceTime.
And this from the overview:
> Share your screen Share your screen with everyone in your FaceTime call. Browse apartment listings, swipe through a photo album, or plan your next vacation as a group, all while seeing and talking to one another.
As a former Apple employee, it seems likely to be very similar and related to the screen sharing we used on customer devices from the internal CRM application; in that case we’d ping the device with a request and once the customer accepted we’d have an eyes-on view of the display along with the ability to overlay a cursor or other visible interactions to assist with troubleshooting.
I’m certainly interested to see how it’ll actually come out, it’s a pretty useful feature.
If you have a content blocker installed, YouTube recently made some changes. A potential workaround for now is here.
In iOS 15, WebExtensions will allow content blocker developers to significantly improve on this. For now, the shortcut is probably the best solution.
Yes, "Portrait mode photos are better than ever. Camera now generates a mask when it detects a person and intelligently and elegantly separates the person from the scene." (from iOS 12 Preview)
I just pulled up the first snapshot of the iOS 11 page on archive.org and its more or less the same as now. No mention of iMessage in iCloud on either.
http://web.archive.org/web/20170913123242/https://www.apple.com/ios/ios-11/
I'll refer you to an online DKIM checker — it's used for email signing. I've just setup a domain and can confirm Apple has not setup DKIM yet! So be careful to make sure you don't have a DMARC record in your DNS TXT section as it will likely cause your emails to be rejected if not configured correctly.
https://mxtoolbox.com/dkim.aspx
In here put your domain & the selector is "sig1". If it can't find a record, then receiving mail servers can't verify the signature if the message is signed.

Download, install 13 through iTunes via software update (shift click to point to iOS 13) then viola. Mine worked prefect — on a 2011 MBP so I couldn’t use Catalina or Xcode 11.
If you are only using iOS, TunnelBear.
If you want to use the same VPN on multiple platforms, Private Internet Access.
Both are easy to use, work great on iOS and have a solid privacy policy.
+1, been a long time user of NordVPN and it’s very good. They’re fast and secure. A lot of (free) other VPNs keep logs or aren’t as secure/private. If you want a few alternatives I recommend looking at PrivacyToolsIO.
Here's a download link, just hit the grey download button and click watch when it asks what device to install the profile. Then it'll download the profile. Hope this helps! :) http://www.filedropper.com/watchos3betaconfigurationprofile1
First of all, you can't downgrade from 11 to 10.3.2. You have to downgrade to a 10.3.3 beta. Once you download the 10.3.3 beta IPSW, plug your phone into iTunes and hold the option (shift on pc) and click update. That will give you the option to chose the software you just downloaded, and it will keep all your information on your device the same.
Here's an article explaining how to do it.
http://osxdaily.com/2010/11/23/how-to-use-ipsw-files/
Here is the link to the 10.3.3 beta.
not sure but those iPhone X Wallpapers are so Low Quality
Try again. 😄
https://emojipedia.org/google/android-9.0/new/
EDIT: Samsung beat Apple too: https://emojipedia.org/samsung/experience-9.5/
And this isn’t the first time they’ve lagged behind with new emoji.
>Available on iPhone with A12 Bionic and later. Requires download of speech models. Available in German (Germany), English (Australia, Canada, India, UK, U.S.), Spanish (Spain, Mexico, U.S.), French (France), Japanese (Japan), Mandarin Chinese (China mainland), and Cantonese (Hong Kong).
It’s down to YouTube using new methods to serve ads which cannot be easily blocked using existing Safari Content Blocking APIs.
AdGuard does provide a workaround in the form of a Shortcut for now.
Ok, so then give it time. I forgot that the Categories reorder as well.
I've been using iOS 14 since June 24th, and at this point, my categories are organized very well. They're organized much better than they were the day I installed iOS 14.
Also, that part of that page at https://www.apple.com/ios/ios-14-preview/features/ should tell you that the categories aren't suggested. They are just organized by Siri Intelligence, which for me has done a great job. I don't have any need to hide any of the categories at this point. It knows which ones I don't care about.
The features aren't obvious right away. Swipe left all the way and you'll see App Library. Swipe right all the way to the Left of Home screen and you'll see some of the new widgets.
Call yourself while you're using your iPhone, like while you're at the Home screen or in an app and you'll see the new incoming call banner notificaiton.
Say "Hey Siri".
Long-press on a blank space on a Home screen page. You can now do this to turn on editing mode (Jiggle Mode). Tap the Home screen page dots to see where you can choose which Home screen pages are visible or hidden.
There are far more features than I can list comfortably here though. https://www.apple.com/ios/ios-14-preview/features/
From https://www.apple.com/ios/ios-13-preview/features/
> Junction View helps drivers eliminate wrong turns and directional misses by lining them up in the correct lane before they need to turn or enter an elevated road.
Only sort of. You could always flick on the iPad keyboard to get the symbol row. This is different from the new Flick Keyboard in iOS 11. It also gives you a very inconsistent experience because there are many, many apps not optimized for te 12.9” that show the flick keys. See footnote 2 of Apple’s iOS 11 Preview page:
> Keyboard flick is available on all compatible iPad models except iPad Pro (12.9-inch).
That's what it's telling me. I thought it was because of my ExpressVPN, but I deleted that profile, rebooted, and it still wouldn't let me activate the AT&T one. Seems like iOS 15 broke their fix, or their fix wasn't that great. Sucks man.
If you have a paid iCloud account, you can use the private relay feature, which is essentially a VPN. They give you the option to keep it local or a broader area. I don't know what "broad" means. That's why I use ExpressVPN because it lets me decide which country and region.
FWIW, Nord wouldn’t connect to a server for me, but works fine. So must be an issue with the Nord app and not all VPN apps.
EDIT: Nord works if you change the connection type to IKEv2 in the app’s settings. Crisis averted
Definitely the VPN, I have NordVPN, had loading issues for weeks, turned it off and it worked fine again. With the public beta 2 update it works way better with VPN on but still loads a little slower.
Maybe the database you were checking the IP was outdated? Once I connected to NordVPN French server, then visited and they showed that I'm connected to Germany IP. However, after digging more into the IP address I found out that the database showed different results. You can check that here- if the server is new, the IP address might not yet been changed on some databases. This is most likely what you have run into, well at least I did.
This Shows it, as well as most videos on third party sites.
https://imgur.com/a/3Qg4uDV/ there you can see it with the API turned on and off.
Any site that displays that kind of advertising should be avoided. If the site is something you think is reputable, screen shot the ad and report it to them. Most decent sites will not tolerate their ad provider using deceptive tactics like that. If it is a "shady" site, then stay away. Those ads are trying to get you to do something you know is dangerous for your phone. As long as you close the window without interacting, there is likely no issue. iOS is pretty good about not allowing installs without explicit permission. That said, there could be cookies or other tracking elements added for those crappy advertisers.
I would also suggest using some kind of ad/malware blocking approach. I use NextDNS for my DNS which allows me to selectively block just about everything I want to. It works on both WiFi and cellular data. Alternatively, you could spin up a Pi-Hole for your home DNS, but that won't do you much good when out of the house. These DNS services basically kill any address to the malware/ad sites so they never get a chance to pop up or put a cookie on your device. It's a much more pleasant browsing experience.
Switch back to light mode, then type this in the terminal. Then when you switch back to dark mode, only the dock and the menu bar are dark.
defaults write -g NSRequiresAquaSystemAppearance -bool Yes

Same here. With the NordVPN status app it’s stuck on “assigning IP” and in iOS settings the VPN shows as connecting. This has only started happening after upgrading to this beta. I’m using an iPhone too.
Oh my god… I’ve been having trouble for days now and searched and searched for answers but didn’t realize it was my vpn that was the issue. Finally figured it out, searched it and this is the first post that pops up. Also have a Honda civic (2020) and also have ExpressVPN.
Literally THANK YOU SO MUCH. I bought I new cord, added and removed my car, tried wireless. Absolutely nothing worked. I use ExpressVPN too. Turned it off and now we’re back in business. Thank you thank you thank you.
Great question, I'm asleep when it happens, and have never noticed one. My phone used to do the 80% thing and then fill in the morning also, which I think is the intended behavior. Now on the betas, it fills to 100% and then disconnects completely.
The stand is this (not from Twelve South): https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B09QPXKP1Z/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
Same, especially waking up the phone bug.
Another thing is that vpn (NordVPN) has been extremely unstable. After a reboot when it connects, the phone will have no internet. Numerous times throughout the day it’ll not have internet until I disconnect and reconnect
They do indeed. It is the same soap bubble, just a few seconds later.
This guide is pretty good for what to do. (http://osxdaily.com/2016/01/12/howto-sideload-apps-iphone-ipad-xcode/)
When you hit run at the end, it will ask you to select a target app. Choose Messages
https://www.apple.com/ios/ios-15-preview/features/ > Voice search Search the web using your voice. Tap the microphone in the tab bar and speak your search to see suggestions or be taken directly to the page you’re looking for.
Scroll down to the footnotes of the preview page.
A11’s neural engine was never exposed to any developers and from what I can tell is only used for FaceID related stuff.
A12’s second gen engine can be used by devs.
Yes, you can do that Spotlight search from Lockscreen! Both on iOS and IPadOS.
I can’t test the offline Siri feature, since it requires the A12 Bionic upwards. But it‘s definitely possible to use most basic tasks offline - it’s listed and explained just like that on Apples feature page! :)
Here is a good explanation of DoH/DoT at CloudFlare
Basically, it's DNS over HTTPS and DNS over TLS, basically tunneling your DNS requests over different protocols like https so they can still resolve even if your local DNS server is down or blocking.
I'm don't think they have DoH/DoT on iOS 13 except on supervised devices (ones enrolled in schools/work places/etc). I know you can install VPN providers, like CloudFlare DNS, NextDNS, etc that will do DoH/DoT on your device, but if you have nothing like that installed, there's a possibility that it used your ISP's IPv6 DNS servers, since they can often get pushed through anyways.
Both actually. That test was on my 11” but I get the same result on the 10.5”.
Here’s a test from my iPhone XS as well:
https://www.speedtest.net/result/i/3296312414
I’m thinking if those with issues have a router with a combined SSID for both 2.4 and 5 GHz and slow speeds happens when a device jumps to the 2.4 GHz band.
You could use iMazing, that's how I deleted these files. Not sure if the trial version would be good enough if you don't want to buy.
https://imazing.com/guides/file-system-view-in-imazing#file-system-media should give you an idea what to look for..
It’s possible your battery is completely consumed and needs to be replaced. If you have a Mac, you can use coconut battery to determine your battery wear level.
Looking at their API, it looks like Dark Sky has external data sources. However, some of the source descriptions suggest that they transform some of the data, making Dark Sky a separate data source.
I bet Apple uses Dark Sky’s data for the regions it supports, but external ones for the rest.
You’re correct I did not read further as there was nothing for me to personally see, as I’ve just opted for Apple Smail. I’m sure the information you’re giving to others is helpful, however ALL of them pose a privacy concern. Spark however is just historically the worst at its methods.
https://www.slant.co/versus/1951/16159/~airmail_vs_spark
For example here. There are other comparisons as well as Spark’s own Tweet that stood out against others (Airmail/Outlook):
I understood before.
Consider though that Apple has already been advertising to the world since WWDC that App Library is fully automatic.
https://www.apple.com/ios/ios-14-preview/features/
Look for "App Library" on the page.
Or look here: https://www.apple.com/ios/ios-14-preview/
"The new App Library automatically organizes all of your apps into one simple, easy‑to‑navigate view. Apps are sorted by category and your most used apps are always just one tap away."
I think this shows that when iOS 14 is released, this is how it will be. I don't expect it to be this way on release day, but I do expect it to ultimately be this way since this is what they are advertising and since it's already kinda like this for me.
https://www.apple.com/ios/ios-14-preview/features/
#6 in small print at the bottom: Adaptive Lighting, Face Recognition, and Activity Zones in the Home app will require an Apple TV, HomePod, or iPad set up as a home hub and compatible HomeKit accessory.
I'll add too that we'll probably have to wait until final release.
"1. Adaptive Lighting, Face Recognition, and Activity Zones in the Home app will require an Apple TV, HomePod, or iPad set up as a home hub and compatible HomeKit accessory. "
At the bottom of https://www.apple.com/ios/ios-14-preview/features/
I think it will also require the manufacturer to make it possible for their accessory.
https://www.reddit.com/r/iOSBeta/comments/hhw7zy/faqs_about_ios14_beta_1/
>Not sure you found a new feature or only discovered for the first time an already existing feature? Have a look at https://www.apple.com/ios/ios-14-preview/features/ to see a list of all new features before submitting.

#4 at the very bottom of the page:
"Adaptive Lighting, Face Recognition, and Activity Zones in the Home app will require an Apple TV, HomePod, or iPad set up as a home hub and compatible HomeKit accessory."
It will also require the manufacturer to add the support specifically for this new feature in iOS 14.
When the iOS 14 public beta comes out, use the link at the bottom of this link (iOS 14 preview page) to sign up. You'll need to do it from your phone and sign into the website with your Apple ID and then download the beta profile.
Update: go to https://www.apple.com/ios/ios-13/ you will see they mention a 13.1 feature with 2 stars **
Then scroll all the way to the bottom and read what those 2 stars say
Spoiler: it say Available September 24TH
Peek & Pop don't exist in iOS 13 in the way that it does in iOS 12 with 3D Touch. In iOS 13 (and 13.1), 3D Touching to get a preview (peek) is the only thing you can do. You can't use the Pop gesture while using the Peek gesture to pop a preview open. Now you just get the preview, let go and relax, and if you decide you want to open the preview, tap it. To make it go away, swipe the preview down or tap outside of it.
Now yes, the Peek & Pop gesturing still works on the keyboard for Trackpad Mode, but with the way text editing is in iOS 13, Trackpad Mode is almost obsolete. Now you can just grab the cursor with your finger and move it around. Now you can just rest your finger on a word to select it. Now you can tap & swipe left or right to select a bunch of text. Now you can double-tap to select, as well as triple-tap for sentences and paragraphs and quadruple for special things that Siri intelligence recognizes like addresses. There's much more to the text editing in iOS 13 than this. https://www.apple.com/ios/ios-13/features/ Look for the "Text Editing" section.
Oh, it's not that big of a difference. It's just maybe brighter overall I think.
Be more excited about Dark Mode, Neural TTS for Siri, much better photo and video editing, much better text editing (speaking of editing...), call rerouting right to voice mail if the caller isn't known by you or by Siri intelligence (if you turn this setting on), and much more: https://www.apple.com/ios/ios-13/features/
The iOS 13 "Preview" website (https://www.apple.com/ios/ios-13-preview/features/) lists around 261 new features.
These guys are talking about 1 of those 261.
Is it interesting?.. Sure. Does it matter for the average Joe ?.. Likely not.
They did indeed roll these changes back in iOS 13.0 DB5 and Catalina b7. It seems the testing was showing things were too far behind.
They're still listed on the iOS 13 preview page though which strongly suggests they will be back, just not in 13.0 (and perhaps not in 13.1 as he suggests).
Extended Live Photos playback was announced onstage at the WWDC Keynote in June 2019.
Additionally, this page says the feature works when photos are taken within 1.5 seconds of each other.
To be fair, Apple's iOS 12 preview page says "How healthy is fish?" is a valid question. But it doesn't appear to work in iOS 12b1. It's under Siri>Food Knowledge
I think the change log noted that Wink detection was improved for Animoji, so this might be associated with that. Will try and find a source for it.
EDIT: Here it is. Full source.
I hate to say it, but I’m guessing iCloud sync has been scrapped. There’s no longer any mention of it on the iOS 11 product page, unlike Apple Pay Cash, which says coming this fall. Maybe someone wants to email Craig and ask if it’s still coming.
I used Chrome on iOS. I was trying to get it working on my Apple TV, so I went to https://tv.youtube.com/verify on my phone. Gave Chrome app access to my location when prompted and it worked. (Tried in YouTube TV app and safari and neither worked)
I fixed it, download the latest iTunes from the apple site but uninstall iTunes first (no need to reboot)
https://www.apple.com/itunes/download/win64
then after you install it, run the command, you get the error again, uninstall the apple USB driver and unplug the phone, plug the phone back in and quickly run the command again, it should go through.
"C:\FOLDER\idevicerestore.exe" -d "C:\FOLDER\iPhone_ios13.ipsw"
Do you use iTunes from Win Store or from Apple? If Win Store, uninstall them and install the one from Apple (>direct download link<). Win Store version is sometimes slow for updates.
You’re confused about this. Please let me explain.
Google Safe Browsing is a completely different thing from Google Search.
DuckDuckGo is a competitor for Google Search. Google Search will still track you and the change mentioned here does not affect it. You should keep using DuckDuckGo, and I’m doing it too.
Google Safe Browsing is a way to block malicious websites from loading. Google compiles a list of these websites and if you have this feature enabled, the links you visit in your browser are compared agains that list.
What is doing here prevents Google from knowing your IP address or any other information from using this feature in Safari. gets the list from Google and your device only connects to ’s servers to check that list, not Google’s.
Btw. I always disable Google Safe Browsing in all browsers and on all devices. The reason is that NextDNS (shown in the screenshot) already does that in the same privacy-preserving way will do it now, so regardless of whatever a browser proxies it or not, it’d just be redundant for me.
I’ve got no issues here on my XS.
https://www.speedtest.net/my-result/i/3116792542
I’m on a 300/50 Mbps connection using a Netgear R7000 router, and getting pretty close to that while my kid is watching Netflix in the living room.
Got any microwave oven or anything near or between you and the router?
Yeah I found this issue the day I got my iPhone 11 Pro Max and I think it’s something to do with my Apple Watch but I’m not sure because I was found a lot of system services using your location for ads and significant locations among other stuff like iPhone Analytics and Routing & Traffic under Location > System Service. Most of the stuff was on by default so I turned off a few things and the issue went away. Anyway this is my settings
with iMazing you can do a backup on iOS 13, change the Info.plist to trick phone into thinking it's iOS 12.4, then restore from the backup. I can't guarantee that it's fully stable, but if you're desparate you can do it. iMazing is not free, but isn't expensive either. I recommend buying it (you can also pirate it but obviously I can't link to that)
here's a guide to follow https://imazing.com/blog/downgrade-ios12-to-ios11
Won't work except syncing through iCloud, unfortunately. Messages DB seems to be quite different in iOS 11 and 12 for some reason.
Here's the >article< that explains what you can save and restore from iOS 12 backup if you don't have other backups.
Have you tried updating apps with iMazing? It downloads the .ipa to computer firs, so could be a good solution while this bug is fixed (>guide<).
This feature is free so worth trying.
Appreciate the thoughtful reply that encourages a conversation.
I think you bring up a good point about scale, but here are some counterpoints on other services that do messages at scale (both 1:1 and 1:many) in a recoverable way.
So i'm not saying that it's "easy" in the sense that anyone could do it, but there is precedent of other companies doing it.
Similar issue here too but i'm not on the beta. I'm using a Giochem adapter which works fine on my iOS 14 iPads so I know it's not the adapter i've also seen it get an IP address once too but only when I was on the WiFi already. Even if I static it, no internet/network connection.
Public beta is out too.
Quick one. I used to have problems with Astrill VPN not working through all betas. Initially betas had the app crashing to saying the app went in to some error in PB6. Now in PB7 its working again and some how it felt much faster than it was ever in IOS14.
HSBC app still is not working.
It you want to connect to NordVPN on iOS 15 you’ll have to switch to IKEv2 and if you’re using iCloud private relay along side any VPN service make sure to turn off iCloud private relay if you want to use any VPN.
Also every other VPN app is affected with every single protocol except IKEv2, I think it’s something to do with Apple’s new iCloud private relay feature.
As of iOS 15 beta 4, NordLynx (NordVPN’s proprietary protocol) will “try to connect” to vpn but fail every time. Use IKEv2
I don't know if Safari on iPadOS 15 can have set new tab pages, but I agree, this is definitely not built in and has to be something that was installed on device. Maybe a malicious content blocker or the NordVPN app itself? I just don't know of any way an app can open a new tab only when it's the first tab open
I used the install guide for windows 10
You basically generate a key then go on the IVPN account website to input and get an up address and then use the windows 10 guide to set everything up.
This is where you can find a list of servers you can connect to: Then you can find a port number from the windows install guide to use
Let me know if you need help getting it set up. Also make sure to use to make sure that it’s working because just because you see the VPN logo on doesn’t mean it working
Private Internet Access VPN App
Those using this app can achieve a workaround if you go into settings and change the connection type to IPSEC or OpenVPN. It is only the WireGuard type connection that does not connect. No clue why but my device was able to connect with these settings.
I didn’t see that part… I didn’t have to do anything extra. It “just works” lol I know it’s working because I’ve checked my ip and it matches ExpressVPNs IP range. Apple’s private relay is different. The AT&T VPN straight up doesn’t work and says there is another VPN running, even if you have private relay disabled.
Edit: misunderstood first read through. I didn’t mean they were running side by side. I just meant private relay is enabled, and I have no problems connecting through ExpressVPN.
I have been keeping an eye on it today, periodically checking my IP address & location on ExpressVPN and other IP checking sites.
Doesn't even register my country. I live in Iraq and I've been all around the world today except for Iraq. + changes IP address quite often. Haven't timed it, but often.
I'm using ExpressVPN with the private relay feature enabled with no issues. I just wrapped up a conversation in another thread saying the AT&T VPN isn't working either. I tested to confirm since I had it too. Someone else mentioned another VPN that wasn't working for them. Seems like iOS 15 broke certain VPN protocols.
Amazon has $15 bluetooth mice that don't need a dongle or adapter. Just bluetooth and you're good to go.
I can’t backup my claims about their service so you’re right to call them out, but as you can see the kit is not only cheaper, but has plenty of good reviews as well as a two year warranty.
I don’t know wether you distrust all aftermarket parts or just batteries, but I have no doubt it’s because you’re familiar with battery horror stories about exploding or catching fire. I assure you if this was common, amazon would not sell them. Not to mention, I’ve only ever heard of batteries exploding that came with the device at purchase. For instance, the galaxy fiasco.
This is why we need Right to Repair. I shouldn’t be forced to pay 50-60 USD to replace a battery when I can do so myself for 19 USD.
