Hi there, It's the developer of "Turn Off the Lights" here. You can tweak this lamp now... but soon in Firefox v49 you can't do this. Because the Turn Off the Lights Firefox extension will use not the XUL add-on anymore. And it will use the WebExtensions technology (= Google Chrome extension).
I see in this and your previous post, that you want a white lamp button. I am already working on this to add it in the upcoming September release. To be up to date you can follow us on https://www.turnoffthelights.com/blog
Thanks!
yes, but it's an entertainment option. Default is this feature disable for new users. There is also a 'stars' option, and that is one of the most used 'Dynamic Background' feature. https://www.turnoffthelights.com/browser/dynamic-background.html
Hi there,
I am the developer of the Turn Off the Lights browser extension.
Turn Off the Lights for Safari extension is a FREE and Open-Source browser extension. The Turn Off the Lights browser extension works on all web browsers.
You can customize the Night Mode to your personal style. For example, you can choose your own custom night background. That is also for the hyperlink, text, and button color. And you can enable the Night Mode automatically at a certain time, or for a selected website URL. And to get a visible night switch on the web page (to enable or disable the Night Mode), without going to the aA icon, etc.
While Noir can choose only 2 backgrounds 'black' or 'dark'.

I am happy to help you.

Hi there,
What did you not liked in my free and Open-Source Turn Off the Lights browser extension?
https://www.turnoffthelights.com
You can personalize everything on the Options page. And you can set your own color for the background, text, hyperlink, and button of the Night Mode feature.
Thanks,
Stefan
Hi there,
Everything can be customized to your personal preference on the Turn Off the Lights Options page. And you can change the lamp button action (-> that dims the screen) to Night Mode action (-> which will convert the website to your personal dark mode theme.
See this YouTube video tutorial on how to activate the Nigh Owl profile (that change the lamp action to activate Night Mode only):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xpzf7LWegt0
And feedback is always welcome to improve this experience.
Thanks,
Stefan

I got tagged the same way and also never hacked. I only discovered the game a couple days ago and all of the sudden I stopped doing damage and stopped gaining experience.
I disabled extensions one by one, and after disabling Turn Off The Lights for Youtube, I was able to do damage again but still wasn't gaining experience.
I figure this is something appealable (and the dev(s) would probably like to know about other extensions triggering their anticheat) but I don't know how or where to do so.
>First, I like using this extension called Turn Off The Lights when I'm watching YouTube. However, when I installed it for Firefox 57, I cannot access any of the advanced settings on the left when I go to the settings page of the extension.
They have support; contact them: https://www.turnoffthelights.com/support/
Of course I got more great Chrome extensions. But this my best and favorite Chrome extensions.

Normal for a HTML5 video you can click right on the video element and select "show control".
Tumblr and Steam video player is fixed in the Turn Off the Lights v3.1.0.18 or higher. And if you doesn't want to automatically dim the webpage on a not YouTube website. In the Turn Off the Lights options page enable the 'whitelist' option.
Please for feedback or issues use the support form next time. Your satisfaction is our top priority. https://www.turnoffthelights.com/support

Yes I know this can be distracting. It's an option that the user can enabled this in the "Turn Off the Lights" options page. Most "Turn Off the Lights" users use the "stars" dynamic background feature. https://www.turnoffthelights.com/browser/dynamic-background.html This look better and comfortable for the new just like in the cinema.
Thanks for your feedback :)
In Google Chrome Web Store is this not allowed because his policy and YouTube term of service. Source: https://www.turnoffthelights.com/support/browser-extension/download-online-videos-youtube-downloader/
Hi there
The Turn Off the Lights Safari extension version 4.3 did improve the Night Mode feature. And even add more amazing options such as detect when your Mac is set to 'Dark Appearance', then it will automatically go to Night Mode. The option to long press on the web page to activate/disable the Night Mode.
What makes this Night Mode feature unique, is that you can choose the color for the hyperlink, text, button, and background.
Some issues are caused by other Safari extensions enabled in the background. Please try to disable the other Safari extension one for one except Turn Off the Lights. That must solve this problem.
About the YouTube AutoHD,
Can you check you allowed the permission of the Turn Off the Lights Safari extension to "Allow allow on every website.". (when you click on the blue lamp button). Because else it can not execute the content script on the YouTube website. That is a privacy feature that is only in Apple Safari. In Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge, you do not have this permission warning.
And in the Turn Off the Lights Options page, can you check you have enabled the "YouTube AutoHD" checkbox, and set the video quality in the selection box to "highres" (<- that make sure it use the latest highest video quality available for that YouTube video player)
If you need any further help or have more feedback, it is all welcome at the Turn Off the Lights support form:
