Yes, it's a dumb idea. If it broke in there it's because of torque, not expanding metal or some kind of friction weld. You just need to un-torqure it. Makes me kind of question the "deep value" stock hypothesis because people in 176 countries tossed a few billion year over year into that dumpster fire and lost most of it.
