UPDATE: We're still investigating this but don't worry, it's just a visual bug that happens at endgame for some players. All of your experience is still granted but your tier may sometimes appear as 0 even though you are a different level. Continue to follow the issue on Trello here.

Cosmetics and Game Features are not the same as in-game fixes. Not every person they hire is a coder who can scrub the huge amounts of code a team wrote and jump right in and fix an issue. It's like finding a needle in a shit-hay stack. One fix here can cause another 10 problems.

Its fairly simple... The goal of competitive play is to make the playing field as level as possible.

They probably didn't want people to have a massive competitive advantage over others because they have the financial ability to drop $850 on a monitor.

You can find old pre-built HP elite small form factor PCs that have either an i5-2400 or i5-3470 in them for pretty cheap, and A GT 1030 will give you a decent enough playing experience if you don't care about shiny things like shadows and anti-aliasing, normally the HPs run about $150-180 and will most likely come with a mouse and keyboard.

No. You're confusing response time with input lag. A gaming monitor with 1 or 2 ms response time will still probably have 8-15 ms of input lag. You can check the measured input lag of most popular monitors at https://displaylag.com/display-database/

edit: heres an example. I play on this monitor (https://www.amazon.com/BenQ-ZOWIE-inch-Gaming-Monitor/dp/B01H5KKQUQ). Note the advertised 1 ms response time, they even put it in the title on amazon to confuse people lol. The input lag, however, is closer to 10 ms.

This app has 4 modes:

Random- completely random spot anywhere on the map

Area- picks a random spot in the given location

Location- picks a random location (named or unnamed)

Battle Bus- the coolest feature- specify the Battle Bus location and direction and it will randomly select a spot near to the Battle Bus trajectory!

Known bugs and their status.

As a product manager for a software company that has a public forum and suggestion board, I'll say from experience that customer feedback is critical and we should absolutely continue to bring up our needs/wants/issues to EPIC. I'll also say that doing it positively and constructively goes a long way. Remember, there are human beings on the other end of that conversation that determine dev priorities. Personally, I am much more willing to help customers who approach feedback in a positive manner. On the other hand, if a customer screams at me like a child throwing a tantrum, the last thing I want to do is solve their problem (even though we should, and probably will). The suggestion to "keep ranting on this reddit" should read "keep providing useful feedback."

I absolutely disagree with the comment of "EPIC has a problem communicating to their community." It's been mentioned quite a bit, but these guys have a fucking Trello board telling us exactly what they are focussing on. This isn't that much Epic's fault honestly. Epic locks your account if you have incorrect login attempts, and you can also enable two factor authentication to prevent unauthorized logins (which everyone should do).

Some scripts are being run by bots that attempt to bruteforce accounts (found on the internet) with leaked emails/passwords from other services (so if you share your epic account's email/password in other services, consider all of them compromised. these scripts will eventually be ran on those sites as well).

I've multiple emails of my account being temporarily locked due to too many incorrect login attempts. This is caused most likely by another site's credentials I had with the same email being leaked on the web.

If you want to mitigate these kind of attack vectors (this applies to all services on the web, not just fortnite) you should:

1. always use two factor authentication if it's available
2. have a different password on all services
3. once in a while google your email (with quotes) to see if it's in any data leak or such, it's fairly common actually (thus why you want a different password in each service). There's also services like https://haveibeenpwned.com/ that notify you if your email has been found in any of the data leaks it monitors.
4. avoid shady sites that promise something for free

VPNs are great but not for this game, for me at least. In my experience with NordVPN, getting kicked from games because you have the VPN on and getting an error message saying you've been caught cheating or turn off your VPN is annoying and scary.

If so, the major ones are fixed, but not released. So instead of complaining about bugs, complain about them waiting for the weekly patch instead of releasing bug fixes quickly.

Also, I would attribute a lot of recent bugs to the explosion in player population into the millions.

Knowing how he was before, and how competitive of a person he is, the reason he compliments people that kill him right away is a tactic to help himself not be a sore loser.

I figured that mine was leaked quite a few years ago (along with a password) during a Dropbox data breach. And I had one login attempt from India on my Epic account another day, which was luckily stopped by 2FA. There has to be a connection.

It's true in the US even. I recently made a trip to China so I figured what the hell try a couple VPNs. PrivateVPN worked, sort of, but was slow. ExpressVPN was fast so I figured I'd try it at home why not. Connects right to the backbone and somehow I'm getting faster speeds. My brother tried it at his place and had more of a notable gain. Ricochet would work well but one common complaint I hear about it is that it removes strategic play / accounting for your enemies positions which I kind of agree with.

I think the best solution would be to incorporate ricochet damage but also have it damage the teammate.

This way normal players still need to shoot tactically/ avoid crossfire, but teamkilling is no longer viable.

Thing is no matter what you add to combat it, assholes will always exist and set out to ruin peoples games for their own amusement.

Can't complain, it gets the job done. It's slightly padded to protect the inside and has straps to keep the PS4 secured to the one side. It left me plenty of room to fit my controller, a couple games, and some clothes as well. There was another case I liked a little better, but it had the PS4 logo on the outside and I'd rather not advertise that I'm carrying $400 worth of stuff when I'm walking through the city and riding the light rail, so I went with this more discreet one.

Out of all the ones you’ve addressed, looks like PC voice chat is the only one being looked into, and just that. If it had a yellow icon next to it, that would mean it’s ready for the next update. Orange pretty much means it’s being looked in to.

Hopefully they fix the stuff with Switch, but I think it probably gets fixed in the same capacity as mobile as it’s around there in platform tiers sadly.

Glad you're following what is being said every day at almost every hour .. yes this glitch is insanely bad , but it's getting fixed in 5 hour.

For the no stats/leaderboard.. it's like that to release stress on the servers because of the big influx of players , you can see your stats here: https://fortnitetracker.com/

Guided rockets is balanced if not below average , early game lag is caused by servers issue , which , like I said, is caused by the big influx of recent players

Im hoping that the combination of the larger than normal patch size and this card from Trello means they will try to address the lag on consoles with this update.

Take a moment and acknowledge that they are actively trying to fix whats wrong. They have a whole board dedicated to communicating issues and whats being fixed.

Dont expect perfection every patch, realize that we’re still in beta, and that the reddit community is a vocal minority as to “what the players want.”

Theyre contuing to change things up so that every fight isnt the same. It becomes more fun in the long run, im sorry that weaker players are getting more valuable tools to have fun themselves.

We know there's been an increase in the amount of hitching on consoles recently. We have a speculative fix for that next patch. The "floating gun/can't shoot" issue has a fix ready to go out next patch as well.

As for when you froze, I can't actually see what led up to that point so I'm not sure what may have caused that. If it happens to you again please report it in-game as a bug via the "Feedback" tab in options.

To say they are ignoring these things or not putting full effort into them is just plain wrong.

It's also been updated as "Fixed in next release" on their Trello board. I really hope we'll get a hotfix for this issue as we won't have a full update this week. I'd argue that the swapping bug is just as bad as the pump bug that got hotfixed last weekend (if not worse).

Well considering the amount of active PC players absolutely dwarves console numbers, I am skeptical of your claim that PC players have no sway.

They said they fixed it like 3 or 4 patches ago and since then it still hasn't been fixed. I've already reported that it wasn't fixed too. It has screwed me over a few times now and they don't listen.

That door is actually common for it to happen but the odd thing is when I try to force it to happen to record it it doesn't happen.

You all continue to have a lot of great feedback: here are the major changes that I’ve made in the past couple of days:

• Allow user to scroll in/out on map if they click on the map on desktop (lasts until user's mouse exits map)
• Fixed issue with ultrawide displays and a horizontal scroll bar displaying
• Fixed issue with scroll overflow not happening at proper cutoffs
• Added Disqus for a discussion section
• General styling updates

Looking towards the near future, the next big feature to be implemented is having an image show up on click of a marker on the map, displaying a more detailed image of where that challenge item is in-game.

Yeah this definitely applies to builder pro and is a huge fix.

That said, it appears there's still some improvements to be made when quickly switching between pieces (and something that only applies to builder pro).

Hopefully it'll be fixed in 4.2.

Not directly in JIRA. They have a trello board (https://trello.com/b/Bs7hgkma/fortnite-community-issues) that you can use to track issues (they reference the JIRA ID here), but I suspect they manually update Trello with info, while they use JIRA internally. Most of the stuff you would see in JIRA would likely be techno-babble to the public.

When they say "for tracking", that means this specific issue is tracked on FORT-83714. Instead of it being the "potion bug", they can talk about FORT-83714 and know exactly which issue they are discussing. Maybe someone later asks them about the FORT-83714; they can very quickly open that issue in JIRA and check the latest updates on it, rather than trying to search for the issue using keywords and crap.

For the Builder Pro layout issues, we are aware of that and have a fix ready to take care of the cancelling fire issue when v3.6 releases next week. People refuse to read patch notes and the updates Epic provide then cry that the bugs arent geting fixed when theres literally a tracker for all the bugs that are fixed within the next coming patch and it shows which ones are higher priority.

People are just kinda ignorant to how transparent Epic is actually being with bug fixes.

That sounds like what did it.

It's safe to assume that all passwords that are 8 characters long have been brute-forced and sitting in a rainbow table. Stick to 12 or more to be safe. And if you haven't already check your email at https://haveibeenpwned.com/

It’s a bit short. You can check here to see if the password you’re using has been found in a breach. Try a password manager (1Password, LastPass, etc) and use nice long passwords without having to remember them.

Your email might have been pwned. Check this website: https://haveibeenpwned.com/ and Put your email to see if someone breached your account. These types of account selling are popular, you are lucky enough to catch it. Usually the person would obtain, one way or another your email and credentials from the many sites that have lots of unsuspecting people’s emails and passwords. Then they would sell the account, acting as if they are the owner of that account to an unsuspecting person, the kid in your case, and pocket the 20 bucks.

You should change your password, and enable 2FA on everything ASAP. If you want to you could go after the seller and report them to the site they use to sell accounts, but this is usually time consuming.
