First, the h.265 files are still a minority. Where do you get your stuff that you think most are h.265?
Second, the way you have to watch is the worst option you can get. Never use the TV apps or the TV to watch something, this is crap.
If you don't want to use the PC, use a cheap tv box in the 50 USD range to play h.265 content and other stuff.
If you are adventurous, get a single-board computer like the Raspberry Pi and use it with Kodi to play your files. I recommend the Odroid C2, which is able to put out 4k UHD h.265 files at 60fps. Adaptable solution, easy upgrade.
EDIT: I think that /u/I_get_in is right in assuming that you confuse the 10-bit h.264 (Hi10P) files with h.265. You need some CPU power to play those, as they need to be decoded on the CPU. No GPU or hardwired chip can do this, exception being the RK3229 which can decode it up to 720p, but this is long gone and was ill-fated. Nobody has made another hardwired version since then because this is a very niche part of the h.264 standard which no one else uses besides anime groups.
Funimation stream quality is not even good smh. the best official streaming there is AoD but its german and hardsubbed soo most of the legal watchers wont even see it. There are people who dehardsubb it and release on nyaa. Anyways aniwatch still hosts nyaa.si files but as streaming and probably reencoded to save space as much as possible at cost of video.
ISPs only care that you pay for internet; they don’t care how you use it. They send messages like the one you received after big companies like Funimation complain. Like others have stated, I’d ignore the letter and invest in a VPN. It’s the best way to protect yourself. We have a few affiliated links for VPNs on our index. Otherwise, Mullvad is a cheap VPN that is highly recommended.
If you are using NordVPN you can turn on the internet kill switch which makes it so if you disconnect from the Nord servers for any reason it will not let your computer connect to the internet whatsoever. Also, in the advanced options there’s a program specific kill switch. There you can add certain programs to be terminated if not connected to the VPN. So you can add programs to that list that you only want running while you’re connected to NordVPN.
https://jellyfin.org/docs/general/administration/installing.html
I do mine in a dedicated Debian virtual machine on a Proxmox server that runs a bunch of services, but Docker is probably the easiest way.
Few things:
Not really. If you use the most popular xdcc group, nibl (nibl dot co dot uk) it is on the server Rizon which encrypts the data. It's closer to ddl than torrenting. It depends where you are but although now I use a vpn because I have one, I used xdcc for anime downloads a lot before I didn't have a vpn. Plus, copyright people are more concerned about torrents, and more than that, they don't really care about anime anyway. So I'd say yeah it's safe without a vpn, even if it is preferrable.
On the other hand, I would recommend just getting a vpn. Mullvad VPN is only $5.50 a month. I know not everyone has even that much extra money every month, but a lot of people do. Plus it's the best vpn service kinda by far, don't bother with Nord or Express.
But again, you're most likely more than fine doing xdcc without a vpn. Also, this guide is what helped me get into xdcc: _how_to_download_anime_through_irc_w/
Just replace #HorribleSubs with #nibl and instead of going to the horriblesubs (R.I.P) packlist go to the nibl link I gave above you should be good to go.
Adding that if you want to sideload apps without jailbreaking your device, you can use AltStore (you will need to refresh the apps every 7 days if you don't have a developer account, or 1 year if you have one; otherwise, you won't be able to open the app until you refresh it)
It's down in the Americas(checked US, Canada and Brazil) apparently, in europe its working fine tough, I was able to load the site from UK and Germany. I tested using ExpressVPN so I don't know about others.
A magnet? A magnet's a link. It may be a .torrent file (which is a magnet, as a file? idk.). But at any rate, it's the thing you want.
First step, get yourself a torrent client. These are the things you use to download. For Windows, Qbittorrent for starters, Deluge/Vuze for customizability, Tixati for geeks. Stay away from uTorrent/Bittorrent (malicious ads and the former's attempt to install cryptominers to clients back in 2015).

After that, consider if you need a VPN. It's recommended to use one (probably, not the free ones) especially if torrenting is actively combatted (USA, Canada, some of the EU countries, countries with high censorship) but not too much to hassle with in most other countries. My picks would be Mullvad and Proton's paid plan, and Windscribe's free version if you aren't going to pass a 10 GB/month limit. The latter is the only free version you can torrent with. Stay away from VeePN, PIA, widevpn and (personal choice to stay away of, not as bad as the others on the list, just that they are advertising way too much for me to believe that they don't sell private information, but you do you, they are not confirmed to do anything bad yet) Nord/ExpressVPN. The first three either was caught selling user data or run aggressive ponzi schemes.

Three, do some configuration. I recommend some setup like: forwarding a port on your router/VPN, enabling DHT/PeX, disabling SSDP, after that is personal choice.

Four, open the file with your torrent client and hit start. It should automatically find "seeds" that will share pieces of files you need. You'll need at least five peers to get a fast download speed. If the torrent is active (has lots of seeds) but not much connections, may need to recheck settings.
/r/Baccano mod and Baccano! Wiki admin here. I don't know of any "online spaces" where it is illegally available, which is primarily due to the fact that the 2015 manga (3 volumes, 22 chapters) is licensed by YP and as such is available in English legally. Thus, there's far less incentive for folks to illegally upload it (combined with the fact that I guess it doesn't have a high demand.)
I realize which subreddit this is, but I do encourage you to consider buying the three volumes if/once financially able to do so. Three volumes total is pretty cheap, and buying them all should come out to around 21 USD total. (Each electronic volume on Amazon, for instance, is $6.99. On BookWalker, $7.32).
Nyaa.si has most content in the original quality, sometimes they do switch the codec from h264 to h265 to save up to 50% space (a thing streaming sites cannot do), but quality is preserved
I don't think you're going to have much luck. If you need old series, Kissanime and 9Anime are usually the most complete in my experience, although there are always a couple of releases you will only be able to torrent.
AFAIK, there isn't even an english sub of Akko-Chan, and I can only find one torrent link for Raws which isn't dead: https://nyaa.si/view/693465
I can't confirm if there is actually a subtitle track (AniDB says there is, but no language is given), but I'm sure it isn't English even if it exists.
Melmo on the other hand can be found on 9Anime (and maybe even Kissanime), but their Anti-AdBlock-Policy makes it impossible for me to recommend them (or even watch them to check if the quality is acceptable). This is the nyaa link for a dead torrent of the series (the only one to include more than EP1): https://nyaa.si/view/14863

That's really not a lot to go on.
And - at least for me - the main thing that stands out between fansubbers is simply the level of effort they put in, not any particular style of font or anything. (e.g. whether or not they match the font to the scene - or even create custom ones, how seamlessly the text overlays onto signs, etc.). Not the sort of thing where I could say "That looks like Coalgirls" but more "Wow, that's some Coalgirls-level fansubbing."
You can check which fansub groups have releases for the animes on AniDB, though (scroll down to "Group Status" and select "Show All").
Like AtlanticPirate stated, you can use local files in Tachiyomi. I used that method for a while and it works okay once you figure out WHERE you need to save the files on your device.
I now use Komga which has a Tachiyomi extension. You drop your CBZ files into there and it will host them for you. Kind of like a Plex server for comics/manga. You can then read them in a browser or via the Tachiyomi extension.
The only downside I've found with Komga is that it needs some other program/plugin to generate detailed metadata (eg; if you want detailed and accurate tags, descriptions, etc to search your library).
I know how they generally work. And obviously I'm not going to pay for a torrent, lol. That defeats the entire purpose of pirating in the first place.
Sadly it seems like I have no choice but to use a VPN. I use NordVPN, I've heard good things about it in the past, but I don't know how fast it is compared to others.
Depends on where you live, Germany, USA, Japan are prominent candidates for needing one, Mullvad is my favorite VPN, but even then you can use XDCC (Also on the wiki)
I've never had a virus infested torrent since the nyaa moderators keep the site in check 24/7, and as long as you don't download a sketchy file, you are perfectly safe.
Download and install mkvtoolnix in your pc, for some reason it won't add a shortcut to the desktop so you have to go to c:\program files\mlvtoolnix and make a shortcut of mkvtoolnixgui.exe
Launch it, go to the multiplexer, add the episode you want to add an audio file to, add the audio file after that, then you can change the audio file's language parameter, name and few other things.
After you're done with changing stuff, click on start multiplexing, it'll start making a new file of the episode(don't worry the old episode files won't get deleted) with the new audio file included(its not a re-encode). So now you can just watch it with new audio files, have fun.
You're actually using using lancoz which you might waana replace with bicubic and open-gl vulkan with d3d11 to see the changes also please don't interpolate, I usually keep that off. A config like this should help you play the chunkiest of process heavy videos and you should POSITIVELY give this official guide a read. Please don't copy my conf blindly because I made it keeping my 750ti's limitations in mind, you have a better spec than me so yah your one should be better.
I use a combination of 4 indexers, Newshosting, Giganews, UsenetFarm, and Eweka, and haven't ran into any issues. Newshosting has tanked 99% of my requested articles so the rest aren't really necessary but are nice to have for fallbacks.
This is why I use Sonarr, Prowlarr & Plex anymore.
Sonarr, for those who don't know, is an app that automatically checks for and downloads new episodes of shows. It does require 3 things:
Prowlarr is what I use to tell Sonarr what indexers to use (Nyaa is the main one I use). It's kind of like Jackett, but the advantage of Prowlarr is that it automatically sets Sonarr up.
Plex is a media server. I don't think it requires much explaining (other than the fact you'll either need Plex Pass or a one-time purchase for streaming on mobile devices).
If anyone wants a more in-depth tutorial on how to do this (since there's not many good tutorials on this kind of setup), do let me know.
Mullvad is basically as plain as it gets, in a good way but also has some downsides because of that. If you can get a nice deal on pia with those Linus tech tips promo codes then pia is the better choice
It's not the problem of the VPN but the ISP. It allows PF for ipv6 but not ipv4. And everytime I connect to the internet, it assigns me an ipv4 address.
Also please consider not using Windscribe. You can look at IVPN.
it seems like a bug as it seems very hit or miss, but either way, use a free VPN. ProtonVPN is good free tier, but no P2P, but its Proton, so highly reputable.
Cloudflare warp free tier may also work.
either do that or use a mirror.
but a mirror may not work if the tracker is also being blocked. in which case you would need a VPN, and I can confirm CFwarp works for torrenting.
hopefully bit gets fixed soon.
Basis what you are saying, it seems your ISP is performing a very basic DNS blocking. It is easily solved by changing your DNS servers on your WiFi router and in your OS.
You can also use Firefox which is offering DoH where you can use a more Privacy friendly DoH server such as BlahDNS? (Or whatever you prefer)
Will I advise visiting sites without a VPN? No. At least look at options such as ProtonVPN, or Windscribe? Make sure the VPN is not hosted on Chinese servers or 5-eyes countries.
I recommend Jellyfin over plex since it's free works pretty much the same. Also plex charges money for streaming on mobile. If you find any problem with setting it up, then head on to their subreddit.
I torrented for years without any problem, but a while back I got my first notice from my ISP. I was annoyed that I had to pay for a VPN at that point, but as far as I'm concerned it's cheap insurance. Tried NordVPN, didn't like how their SOCKS5 proxies worked, switched to Mullvad and I've been happy ever since.
Use 1.1.1.1 It isn't a vpn but a dns switcher but gets the work done. I use it to access nyaa, pirate bay, etc as my isp (airtel) blocks all of them.
> All pirate services
Not sure about the "all" bit. Some might, others won't - depends on how it's operated and what it's trying to do.
But donations aren't really the same as paying for a service, so I don't really like the comparison made by parent poster.
Personally I'd prefer if services, which ask for donations, would be more transparent about how it's being spent. A breakdown of costs showing expenses paid against amounts received would be nice. AniDB does a decent job (and they give some details on their hosting too). The info could be faked, as it's hard to verify, but I think it at least shows that the asking party is trying to be genuine (and does allow figures to be critiqued more than just an opaque sum).
They are DNS resolvers. The first one is used by Cloudflare and the latter one is used by Google. If you are interested, Here are some links- DNS, DNS Resolvers.
It's not by the same developers, it's called a Fork. I.e, it uses the main app code but builds on top of it. Any fork unlisted on the official website is unaffiliated with the Tachiyomi project.
I use opencomic, it has pretty clean UI, can customize scroll direction, double page view, etc. Plus it has what I haven't seen in any other reader - anilist sync built in.
This is something I've repeated like 10 times on this subreddit, but you don't need to wait for a torrent to finish to start watching it. Literally every torrent client in the past decade supports downloading first piece files first, so you don't have to wait for the download to finish and can start watching it immediately. There's even stuff like peerflix which makes it easier.
If you're searching for torrents then search at Nyaa.si, although I doubt you'll find it there as its kind of an old anime now (also cause dubs aren't that popular in Nyaa). In case you don't find it there, try to get some scripts on GitHub and download it from there. Actually, I had answered a similar question a few days back so you could refer to that.
You can refer to that and follow those methods and it should be more than enough.
It only very recently finished airing. These things can take time for someone to put together. I can find subbed versions for the first three episodes. Latest raws go up to episode 12.
There is a way to read Local Files through Tachiyomi but so far I haven't been able to figure it out. Someone else may have a clue about it though.
However you see that the Download Files are in the CBZ format so you can use app like CDisplayEx for Android, another app ComicScreen works really good as well.
connect Gdrive acc in mixplorer and stream thru mxplayer(not working for me ) or km player (working but don't change any things except audio & sub during playback)
BubbleuPnp + drive login and stream thru mx or vlc
kodi + Google drive add-on and change the default player to mx or vlc for convenience
solid explorer but u can't access teamdrives so star or copy the folder and access thru solid explorer and stream thru ur preferred player
Your restrictions for "Must Contain" are very... interesting, basically destroys the point of using Sonarr in any way, it doesn't upgrade shows, they will just stay at HDTV-1080p forever. Subsplease and Erai don't release blue-ray disks!
The TRaSH guide should be wayyy more prominent, not just a sidenote.
Also, in the VPN section, " DO NOT USE A FREE VPN. DO NOT PIRATE A VPN." aren't really explenations why.
Why not to use a free vpn: They steal your data, resell it, and love working with governments.
Why not to use a Pirated VPN: It probably ain't gonna work in the first place, or you'll very quickly get a virus.
Here's also why not to use Nord VPN especially: They got hacked and didn't do shit for quite some time, until others found out.
In any case, try to implement a guide for Mullvad, it's cheap, and privacy is their top-most priority, one of the things they do is that you don't create an account, you generate one, it's not linked to any personal information to you.
seeding = uploading (i.e more seeders = faster downloads for the torrent in question)
leeching = downloading
Torrents need to be seed in order to download them, if few people seed and most people just leech (download without uploading) the downloads become slower for everyone. And how much a vpn affects your download depends on what VPN provider you choose. Free VPNs are slow (and not suited for torrenting, they log all your data), NordVPN or ExpressVPN are really fast so you don't notice something. I use Mullvad which has good speeds too. Choosing the right VPN is important, look out for a no logging policy and the countries' privacy laws of the VPN provider. I'd recommend Mullvad or ProtonVPN. NordVPN is too shady for me.
Ya there is Brave browser and let me make your day even better. It does not have ads and as well as it is a adblocker browser .
Enjoy :D
> Mullvad (and any other completely log-free services) don't log your actions.
So they claim...there was another VPN company that made that claim, but they actually were logging everything people did. Since then, most people require pretty hard proof of claims that "we don't log what you do!" from any VPN.
You can try AnimeAmaze app from Google play store. It doesn't buffer, and there is a like and dislike button and there are comments and you can boomark shows. The environment is like youtube. There are not so many ads, you can try it.
Download a reputable torrent client. qBittorrent and Deluge are both cross-platform.
Depending on the country you reside in and how seriously they take piracy, buy a subscription to a VPN service. Mullvad and PIA both only cost a couple dollars a month. I highly recommend Mullvad. This mostly applies to North Americans.
Nyaa will be the best torrent tracker you'll have immediate access to so use that to find what you're looking for.
Download the .torrent file or grab the magnet link and add it to your client. Let it download the files and you're done.
Yeah anistream offers subbed and dubbed and is also on the play store. Here is a link to anistream and animemolecules
Anistream: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.anistream.app
Animemolecules: https://animemolecules.com
on your phone, download an app called LibreTorrent (android only, if you have an iPhone then you're shit outta luck). then at the nyaa.si website, search for the anime you want and scroll for a bit to look for the episodes you wanna download. some torrents will download individual episodes, some will download entire seasons. your best bet is to look at how many seeders (SE) there are for each torrent and sort by that. once you've found one, click the little magnet and it should start downloading in LibreTorrent.
on your computer, you do the same thing, except instead of using LibreTorrent you use a program called qBittorrent
Ads aren't viruses, JavaScript is a safe sandboxed language, as long as your browser is up-to-date, you are safe. There are unwanted scripts like mining that uses your CPU/GPU fully, which uBlock blocks.
Everyone can see what you downloaded using torrent from your IP, you have to use a VPN like ProtonVPN (trusted privacy company) or buy a seedbox.
You can keep the country to same location where you live. Just make sure there is a no-log policy. ProtonVPN is what I recommend. But there should be several other reputable VPN services as well. Do your research.
4anime is great for just subs, I am yet to find a place for dub. Although, it's better to go for the best sites with adblocker on, I would recommend )Brave or uc browser (don't use uc unless you really have to)
Edit: If you use brave you can also earn bitcoin, win win situation
When I try to access the site, I get a warning message saying "Your connection is not private. Attackers might be trying to steal your information from nyaa.si." I am not able to actually get to the site immediately. It seems the site's security certificate has become invalid since yesterday.
When I click on the link to go to the site anyway I get this message: "503 - Service Unavailable. The server is not ready to handle the request."
well anyone can try it by navigating to this website and if the opening video (less than 200MB) starts to download their browser should support it. I know it works on some webkit browsers
https://thepiratebay.org/description.php?id=9496094
Is the 25th Blu-Ray 1080p Anniversary Edition, features both the original 1988 Streamline English dub and the 2001 Pioneer/Animaze English dub!
So true, especially about old shows. Right now i'm enjoying mugen no ryvius on twist and it looks so good I would not go back to these fansubs that released only in 360 or 480 (at best). =) (Let's not even talk about their dumb captcha)
Any tips for using RSS 1080p on nyaa? The RSS I see is a lump all of various quality, would rather just rss for 1080p. Horriblesubs ripped right from Crunchyroll, not sure who will do that anymore.
With Horriblesubs they had RSS just for 1080p like Erai-raws, however Erai DDoS guard doesn't like my VPN.
I wouldn't suggest any free VPN ever. Maybe you can find a bitcoin atm nearby and subscribe to Mullvad VPN for 5 euros a month. I do this right now. You might think this is too expensive but not really. You give those 5 bucks every day on some things you might not need. If you don't agree with paid VPNs check r/privacyguides.
I can't recommend Tachiyomi enough. https://tachiyomi.org/ you can download different extensions to get different catalogs.
I recommend downloading the Mangasee extension to use the catalog of the same new, as they usually update manga whenever official English translations are released. (For example, Tokyo Ghoul: re, released a few days ago the official English translation of the last volume, volume 16, and I got an update even tho I already read it).
Download Rename My Tv Series, it's a free program that does exactly what FileBot does and with probably the same level of customizability.
These are my final thoughts on this thread. Using Animelist with Jdownloader has worked pretty well for. At times, Animelist can be slow but most of the time the download speed is fast. Also if you can figure what XDCC is and how to use it, then it seems to be the best solution. I personally, can't recommend it.
Hi Friend!
I'm aware the MPC-HC got an update the other day. But I wouldn't really consider it being "actively developed". More so, it's being maintained. It's in a state in which the developer isn't adding new features to it. Only providing upkeep with the bugs and small fixes. Which we can see in the changelog. Also the developer has stated they won't be adding any new features to the player.
Nyaa.si might have it, they have BR versions of stuff. In any case, if after watching the 1997 one and the movies you're seriously craving more. Then, go ahead and watch them. The animation was obviously not great and the directing was a little weird. There is one plus side to it, the music was amazing. They did something right with the soundtrack on it. If you do happen to watch it, I suggest reading manga as well for the complete experience. If Nyaa.si doesn't have it just watch it on a streaming site, the versions on most sites don't differ much from each other. Changing from 720p to 1080p won't make the cgi any better. Good luck.
Dude Yibis stopped subbing after a while...
Most small time fan subs die after a while, in this case i think Yibis was under staffed, they didn't do that well, so they closed i suppose probably it's been 2-3 years maybe not sure...
Check nyaa.si for yibis torrents, if you are lucky you might find good seeded ones.
This is the best seeded torrent i could find
https://nyaa.si/view/1085252
Yibis stopped releasing after episode 777.
Just the subtitles or video with subtitles?
If former, you can find some here, as for the latter, here's a dual audio release (which includes subtitles).
Look up your VPN provider how they handle it when the government is asking for information. From what I know, Nord can't be trusted in that regard and actually works together with the government. Same for Proton, which has given away emails on their service, so I wouldn't blindly trust their VPN as well.
ExpressVPN has been sold to a dodgy company.
Dunno a thing about Surfshark, Mullvad and private VPN (perhaps perfect privacy?), but then again, my base statement was to not fully trust a VPN.
And just so you know, I'm using Nord myself since its cheap (40€ for 2 years) and using it for torrents as I explained it. Never choosing a country in which torrenting is illegal.
I think PIA is great and I personally prefer it more than Mullvad. Everything about it is super easy to use, while also have split tunelling, port forwarding, and built in kill switch right out of the box without having to set up anything extra. The only downside is that you'll have to set the port on qBittorrent to match PIA's port again for port forwarding like once in a while (perhaps like once every few weeks or so). Not a deal breaker for me.
That aside, visit /r/VPN or use our wiki to see if anything helps.
EPUB is what you should use, You can also try the app ReadEra as you said Moon+ Reader is giving issues with every novel, as you said. >I have tried many other novels but this seems the problem with each one of them
Perhaps the place you live at blocks those sites? You could try googling how to do the following:
That’s great.
If your buying a VPN out of your own pocket though make sure it’s something like Mullvad or PIA.
Mullvad and PIA are cheap don’t log and have port forwarding which makes torrenting faster. You can find more info on it by asking in subreddit discord if you want
Things like Nord is only good if you have a free way to use it.
If you live in a third word country this isn’t an issue.
Since we are in the piracy scene and we have already stolen 100s of dollars worth of anime.
Why don’t you just do the same thing for VPNs?
You can always search up a popular vpn like “NordVPN pastebin” and get accounts.
I did this and the literal first result worked and will work for over 500 days. Who said anything about paying lol
I'd recommend Mullvad instead. You don't have to give any personal info to them (not even an email, you use a random 16 digit number to log in), and if you're really paranoid about privacy you can even send an envelope with some cash to them instead of paying online
My main issue is that I’m afraid I’m not going to use the VPN enough to warrant that upfront cost majority of companies have with their plans. (I’m not a security freak, and I only torrent so often (for direct downloads I just use Proton))
I have actually looked into Mullvad before because of this, since they have that sweet flat rate. If I do decide to try out a good VPN for once (Proton, I love you, but you are slow as fuck) I’ll probably start with Mullvad
If you are on pc I can't tell you any adblocker . But there is one for phone and it works effectively for me . And yes I didn't face any problem in animepahe .
You're looking forsamsung internet just turn on video assistant option in settings then everytime you'll play video there'll be purple option to full-screen touch it then you'll get all gesture controls.
I tried using the free ProtonVPN to access it. Netherlands didn't connect to nyaa, and Japan was too busy to even connect to the VPN. However, it dawned on me to just go to the SubsPlease page directly, and sure enough they have magnet links. Works for me:
Mullvad is consistently rated well for privacy and price. And /u/brianbutterzz utorrent used to be great, but I would go with qbittorent instead. utorrent went kinda scammy and shady in recent years unfortunately.
It’s not privacy I’m really concerned about for reasons you’ve said, it’s just that I’ve heard reports of people getting sent DMCA notices anyway because the provider forwarded the notice to the respective ISP.
Also, I’ve never known about NordVPN accounts just casually being posted into pastebin, thanks for the tip!
That is the correct option.
I actually never personally used the free version (went straight for the paid one), so I wasn't aware of this, but just discovered it in their support section:
>For the first seven days, you will automatically receive a free trial of ProtonVPN Plus. During this period, you will have access to all the ProtonVPN servers and features. [...]
>
>After your trial days expire, your account will be reverted back to the Free plan automatically.
How to create a free VPN account | ProtonVPN

So it seems every Free account comes with a free trial of Plus. Once that ends, though, you can just continue using the account, just with some limited features.
Just need to warn them of the possible dangers. You can recommend a VPN but sadly, there is no good 'Free VPN' to recommend at the moment. I am trialing Windscribe and ProtonVPN (?) as some 'in urgency' case uses.
Use Anistream or literally any app or method OTHER than AnYme, there are several security concerns and the guy who manages the app is insane. He is not only just an unreasonable pig, but his app also collects personal information when it is running.
Overall I’d say no, but that’s because there isn’t a reason for you not to run a decent VPN + Torrent setup. You can make a low power setup with a vpn like PIA (Private internet access), Mullvad, or NordVPN and get exceptional privacy. The reason I list those three out is because PIA has been proven TWICE that they don’t keep logs (information about you) in US courts, NordVPN is based in Panama which is a country that doesn’t care about torrenting, and Mullvad can be bought using bitcoin. Each of these VPNs can be run from a raspberry pi torrent server and have guides on how to securely torrent files using their services. I have Mullvad because thats one of the cheaper and more anonymous vpns, and run that one a separate computer that’s scrubbed of my personal information and running Linux. You can’t be too secure, both in torrenting and your everyday online life.
NordVPN is a bad choice, because they don't give you port forwarding. Use some other VPN (PIA is well known) where you have the chance to use forwarded ports.
Never torrent without the VPN running. QBittorrent ties the interface to the VPN (look in settings), so the torrent can't run when the VPN interface is not there. You could also use PIA's killswitch, firewall rules or other methods.
Also, don't be an ass and seed after you have downloaded. A factor of 2 is the default and is a desirable value.
Oh ok. Well, ExpressVPN accepts payment via Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Paypal, Bitcoin, WebMoney, Alipay, UnionPay, Yandex Money, Giropay, iDEAL, Sofort, Maestro, Carte Bleue, Interac Online, Mint, FanaPay, and OneCard. And if their $100 a year plans are too expensive... umm PM me and I can help you
Try this if u have android https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.instantbits.cast.webvideo&hl=en_US. Or you can use this to instantly stream anime if u have myanimelist https://zunjae.github.io/anymeapp.com/
1: if the vpn is always active, the college will see you connected to the vpn's server and are sending/recieving data, but won't know what sites you're using. If you're going to buy a VPN, take a look at the privacy sub, [I think] they have a little list of trustworthy vpns (if its not there, I can find the link somewhere in my favorites for you); iirc Mullvad is the best in terms of trustworthiness.
2: technically yes, you can, but torrenting is relatively easy to spot even if the traffic is encrypted if they are looking for it (high download and upload rates constantly) and if you don't set up the vpn and torrent client properly, you could get in trouble.
3: yes, they will. If the vpn is off, they can see what you're connected to. It's important to choose a good paid vpn that won't slow down your speed too much if that's a concern.
Isn't an old version available anymore? From github or somewhere else? There is most likely an archive site. I have mac and it is still available on firefox and chrome. Turns out I was right "Though it is still currently possible to install uBlock Origin by downloading the extension from Github (https://github.com/el1t/uBlock-Safari/releases/download/1.16.0/uBlock0.safariextz)(edit: must follow these instructions [http://osxdaily.com/2019/02/08/bypass-safari-no-longer-supports-unsafe-extension-error-mac/] , it will not be starting from Safari 13 / macOS Catalina, when the legacy entension API will be fully deprecated."
I would just recommend using firefox for its increased privacy.
See the “64 kbps”? That is horrible quality if you want good audio. Go on nyaa . si, get a VPN (if you live in the US, some countries don’t care) with a no logging policy (I use “Mullvad”). Search for the anime, sort by “Seeders”. And then look for “Flac” or “Lossless”. I don’t really think it’s necessary to discern quality. ~160-320 kbps is good enough imo.
When I could use a VPN to access the Japanese catalogue, Netflix was my one-stop shop. Clean UI, a lot of classics I love, a few modern stuff to get me into modern stuff, and Japanese subs. As a learner of Japanese, that last one was especially welcome since other services don't seem to cater to hearing impaired Japanese people (or in my case a non-native speaker who occasionally needs a hand catching new key words. I learned to torrent during my last month or two of ExpressVPN, specifically because Netflix started bitching and moaning about VPN users.
I would agree, but if he’s not a kid and can’t afford the $1.25 a week that Mullvad costs, there are some serious issues he should be working out first and foremost. There’s poor, and there’s one dollar a week being unaffordable poor.
Seedbox is highly recommended, let’s you seed 24/7 with high speeds with anonymity if you pay with crypto. Just use a VPN to upload via ftp to the server and go from there. Something like Mullvad would be recommended.
AniDB will generally have that info. If you look up the show, it will show you the list of releases in its database and what their languages are included in the release. It only knows of releases that users bother submitting to its database, but if a dubbed version exists, there's a good chance you'll find at least one version of it listed on the site.
e.g. for Konosuba: scroll down to "Group Status" and examine the "Languages" column. Flags with the box in the bottom right corner refer to subtitles and the flags without the box refer to audio (you can also click "Show All" to see releases).
Ah, interesting. Some-Stuffs does have a release for JoJo, but doesn't seem they have a release for Hunter X Hunter.
Always happy to proselytize AniDB. It ain't the most intuitive site out there, but it has a heck of a lot of useful features that I haven't seen anywhere else. (e.g. Applications to scan your local folders, match the files with specific releases, and add them to your MyList).
AniDB will tell you the filesize of all the various releases available for a particular anime. File size can vary dramatically based upon the quality of the encode and level of compression (e.g. BD-remux vs x264 vs x265).
But yeah, going through a handful of 1080p web/BD-rips in my library, most seem to be around that same ballpark (anywhere from 1.0-1.8 GB per 22 min episode).
Looks like it has zero seeders for most for the episodes and their site is dead. Their IRC is up but I don't see any packlist to use with bots. ~~I think you should give up on downloading that release.~~
Nvm I found a batch torrent on nyaa, take your pick: 1098190 or 932904
According to aniDB they only did episodes 21-165
You can use anidb.net to link anime information as they also provide information on fansubbers and mangadex.org for manga as they also link to original creators (because it seems that only anime series has a support original creators) not only to scanlators and their groups. Disclaimer: I do not demand these features, I just hope to help so that this website will be an ideal website for anime and related resources.
Nyaa is generally the first place to look, but if the raws you're looking for has no active seeders, there's alternatives.
I'd suggest looking up the anime on AniDB.net. AniDB will show you a list of groups that have releases for the show. You can click on their name and see if they have a website or IRC channels that you can download from.
Another option is to look for a direct download forum. (e.g. anime-sharing).

PS: It's always worth first searching Nyaa for any alternative titles that may've been used, or testing it with/without punctuation, "-"s, etc.
WCIF
According to AniDB: https://anidb.net/anime/13871 There is a group/person called "Astral" that made a release for "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime", does anyone know where I can find his/her/their release?
