I, personally, use a 3rd party app (Advanced Download Manager) for downloads and never have an issue. This also allows you to change the title, choose download location, and resume failed downloads.
Just remember to change the settings in TerrariumTV for your default download manager to "external download manager".
Here's my speech about a download manager.

Setting for ADM app: The first setting says Downloading. Look there and at the top it will tell you the folder of where the movies are. You can change the folder. I made it easy for myself and created a folder called ADM. And this is where all mine are downloaded. You won't see the downloads inside the terrarium app.

Stream your video using mx player.
When video starts playing , click on 3 dots on upper right corner (Option menu of mx player)
Click on tools , and then share. Then Copy to clipboard.
Open ADM , click on + button. A box will pop up. Paste your link where it says link:
Then it will detect the file. ( Check the extension , It should be in video file formats like mp4 , mkv etc). Click on start. Your downloading will start now.
May i know what are you trying to download? I will suggest you some better ways if there is any other alternative.
Is this with the stock Android downloader? Try using ADM, I started having failed downloads too but ADM solved it and downloads faster as well.
I am not sure about share button. But, read this.
I won't suggest you to use that browser. I like their player for web videos & fast download feature. But, Stay away from UC browser & their other apps If you care about your privacy. They were leaking users IMEI numbers & probably sending browsing data to China. (Not sure if they are still doing it or not.)
Other options :
Brave browser
Firefox with u-block origin add-on
Firefox focus
Combine one of this browser with ADM , & you will have that fast download speed.
Advanced downloading support.
Few people know about the fact that Internet Download Manager like applications exist on Android allowing you to download any type of file faster using multithreading. In addition to this you can pause running downloads and resume broken downloads, you can also set a default storage location for all types of files.

I primarily use ADM, a real time saver.
Edit: iOS and Windows Phone do support download managers however there's a lot of manual link pasting involved and iOS doesn't really allow you to access the file system anyways, so...Android is still the best for downloading and management stuff.
Download advanced download manager, instead of downloading torrents use the watch server and click this player instead of your phones video player
TTV is android. Some use on Fire stick and Nvidia shield to name a couple. But no iOS. Maybe you can transfer the video to your ipad? I never used ios, so I'm not sure. Below is my speech about using ADM to download.

I would give Advanced download manager a try. It'll let you see the size of most files. Give you an extra dialogue screen. Also it will predetermine if there's enough space to download the file. You can also queue for later download

To download from server 3 (full length videos) you need a download manager like ADM. Choose 'OTHER PLAYER' from the player menu and hit the 'WATCH NOW' button. Select 'ADM Editor' from the list to download your video.
As a workaround, you should still be able to download from server A using the OTHER PLAYER setting and then opening the stream in Advanced Download Manager.
Try installing a download manager like ADM. Select a movie, choose server 3 and press WATCH NOW. Select ADM Editor from the app-selector that pops up.
ADM will use multiple parallel connections to speed up your download.
EDIT: I've tried other download managers but most of them wouldn't show up in the app-selector..
EDIT: Turns out the Movie HD server is in 'whitelist mode'. This usually lasts for a few days. If your device isn't whitelisted you're out of luck right now.
EDIT 2: If you have trouble downloading from MegaBox HD, try downloading with Advanced Download Manager.
Um, those instructions were written for Android Ice Cream Sandwich. It's really old and no longer relevant. You can't change the default download location unfortunately, unless if you use an external download manager, such as ADM. From ADM's settings, you can change the default download location.
PS: If this answers your query, please reply with "solved". Thanks!
I'm not sure how to do it on Android's default download manager or if it is possible to do it. I use ADM (Advanced Download Manager) as my download manager and set it up to save downloaded files in /storage/external_sd/Android/data/com.dv.adm/files.

IDM from pc?
Well, there's Advanced Download Manager and IDM(by Vicky Bonick, same dev of the famous app App2SD)
Have used both, both have awesome multi-threaded downloads, but I would personally recommend IDM. As I always have problems using ADM like corrupted downloads.
Both have a free version with ads and a pro version with no ads + extra features.
Oh, and btw since you mentioned Videoder, assuming that you want to download from YouTube, unfortunately, you're not allowed to download youtube videos using IDM. Not sure with ADM though. Anyway, you can use Newpipe for yt videos and use your preferred DL manager to other streaming sites.
Edit: Noticed that she changed her name on playstore so Vicky Bonick aka GSTMaid.com.
If you use ADM you can select and location to download too.
Once you have ADM installed, instead of clicking download on the video, copy the link. Once you copy the link ADM will automatically popup and ask to verify that you want to download the file. You can change the name and download location at this point.
A workaround can be using a download manager. I personally use Advanced Download Manager, which lets me select it as a video player and download the video.

I suppose that an external download manager like ADM should be able to download to your NAS. Use the Custom button in Movie HD Lite to let ADM handle the download and configure ADM to download to your NAS.
Good to hear that!
I'd like to point out that, to download movies, you do not rely on torrents. You can also use an external download manager like ADM or the one that's built into ES File Explorer. To do so, you need to configure Show Box to use OTHER PLAYER. You can find this option when you tap the three-dotted menu button, next to the 720p button. Tapping the WATCH NOW button should then allow you to open the stream in your preferred app..
You can try, Videoder. It doesn't has that phone & contact permission. It doesn't obtaine precise GPS location. However It asks permission for approx. Location (network based), which you can turn off. It can download videos from some other websites.
I remember that old version of snaptube didn't have location, contact, phone permissions. But, with updates it became worse.
These downloader apps tend to become worse/add bloat features with new updates. That's why always keep backup of old apks & don't update the app if possible. The best thing about Videoder is that you have an option to purchase the app (3 US$) to remove ads. And It doesn't have useless bloat features.
Edit : To download other files, you can use ADM, It download files faster compared to google chrome. You can also automte downloading files & other options.

Download with the manager and test to see if the video is still on your device.
No, the Download button won't be visible in the torrent-free version because in the original Show Box it's only shown when torrents are found for the video. Pressing the Download button will always result in a torrent download.
You can however download from Server A (or B or C if available) using the OTHER PLAYER option and an external download manager like ADM. You'll have to press the WATCH NOW button and open the stream in ADM Editor. Note that only Server A has full-length videos.
Server 3 indeed has no download button but you can download from server 3 by installing Advanced Download Manager (ADM) and using the OTHER PLAYER option in Show Box. Pressing the WATCH NOW button will then allow you to open the video in ADM Editor to download it with ADM. Only thing you may have to do is add .mp4 to the filename. ADM will also speed up your download.
Server 3 (the default server) only has a WATCH NOW button. Server 4 and server 8 also have a DOWNLOAD button but those servers have multi-part videos. You can download full-length videos from server 3 by installing Advanced Download Manager. Selecting OTHER PLAYER and pushing the WATCH NOW button will then give you the option to open the stream in ADM Editor to download it.
I hope I can add a DOWNLOAD button for server 3 in a future update of Show Box Lite..
Movies that only have a WATCH NOW button are movies that were uploaded in 1 part.
They can be downloaded by choosing OTHER PLAYER and opening the video in a download manager such as ADM.
These movies can also be opened in other apps like casting apps without the need for MX Player or GrowBox.
Ah. I wouldn't download such a large file without a download manager. I highly recommend you install ADM and download using it. ADM can pause and resume downloads, and can also increase your download speed. Install ADM and open it once. Set your desired download directory in the settings. Then download whatever you are downloading from your usual browser, and ADM should intercept it automatically.
You have to be more specific. Download directory on a web browser? Play Store?
It may or may not be possible due to a restriction in Android 5.0 (Which is pretty dumb but that's Google).
What I use is an app called Advanced Download Manager that allows me to select the download location whenever I click on a download.
I've not used it but this seems to be the most recommended https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dv.adm&hl=en&referrer=utm_source%3Dgoogle%26utm_medium%3Dorganic%26utm_term%3Dadvance+download+manager+playstore&pcampaignid=APPU_1_u7oiVvmQG8n6aYzCnagB
Consider using kiwi browser with add-ons and enable ADM download manager app. DDG is useful only as site, their app is half baked.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dv.adm
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kiwibrowser.browser
also, if you are on pc use motrix download manager. if you are on mobile, use ADM download manager with threads increased to 16 https://motrix.app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dv.adm&hl=en&gl=US
Download this ADM and when you choose "play" on the movie/tv, select the ADM and it will download it for you
It works 85-90% of the time to be fair with you
If you can, try the download through a download manager like ADM (Android) or Free Download Manager (windows) it might not be much faster, but it will at least give you a better chance of pausing/resuming the download.
Pro tip: use Advance downloading maneger, just share the link to ADM then it will show ⬇️ loading icon click on it you're all done. Note it works with FB, IG, Twitter and other as well. Advanced downloading maneger link
Торрент клиент это то же менеджер загрузки. В гугл плее выдаёт все вариации, в том числе и с возможностью подкачки файлов, говорю же. Ты ленивый хуй

This one is better. It's a general download manager, with a lot of important features.
But if that app you link works for you, go for it. 50 mil+ downloads is a pretty good idea that it's safe.
I don't know anything about the desktop Firefox but the Fenix development team seems to be considering this feature. Keep an eye on this issue: https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/fenix/issues/11505
Edit: and most of the third-party download managers also offer this feature. On Android I suggest trying ADM. On Firefox there's Internet Download Manager (IDM), FDM, etc.
Which videos are you trying to download? Firefox doesn't need anything to handle downloads; it can do that. Have you tried a third-party download manager and sharing the link to it? ADM is one of the download manager you can try.
You can use ADM from the Play Store. Copy the Link of a Stream. Paste it in the App. You can choose the download location, which ever you like. ADM: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dv.adm
I can't tell what is the problem from here.. But if you only need that free space until you download that video use an app that creats the whole file when starts downloading
In other words ¤ some downloaders retrive the video from the internet as packets and only write the packet it received on your device memory when it's received (let's say that you have 2Gb free memory and want to download a 1Gb file, if for some reason you lost 1.1Gb free memory before the download is complete the download will continue until 90% then it'll stuck and tell you that you don't have enough memory) ¤ while other downloaders create an empty file the with the same size of your desired file, then when it receives a packet from the internet it replace a chunk of that empty file with the downloaded information and keeps like that until finishing the download.. in this case there's no chance that you run out of free memory before finishing the download because the required memory is already reserved by the empty file
ADM is an example of an app that has that feature
Is it better than ADM? Because I tried it and it was hit or miss. Sometimes it doesn't detect the video I'm trying to download or downloads one few-seconds long videos that appear on the banner. It was frustrating to say the least.
If you're having streaming issues, download first. Long-press on the source, select "play with external player" (or something similar - can't check right now), and choose a download manager (ADM, LoaderDroid, etc.) or just a browser. Once it's downloaded, you can play or cast from your device without delays. If the download is going fast enough, you can sometimes even start playing it while it's still downloading - just wait until it's gotten say 25-33% of the file.
Streaming and downloading are the same thing, streaming just doesn't permanently save it to a file on your device. Don't forget to delete the file when you're done or you'll quickly run out of storage space doing this.
I think ADM does this too. Also I use Sort2Folder regularly to do the job for me. Mostly in Download folder
I'm not Too torrent savy but I can speak observationally. From what I gather "waiting for peers" just means getting ready for download and if it doesn't go away/is replaced by a percentage bar within a few minutes then the link is busted. And usually the higher # of seeds means less likely to be busted. However I don't recommend downloading from torrents AT ALL. Too much headache around it. If you set your setting to use "other player" and download this app from the play store. Open this app after clicking "watch now" and it lets you download the server video to your files. Less of a hassle, don't have to worry about whether or not your torrent works or not.
I downloaded an app called Adavanced Download manager
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dv.adm

it lets you choose download location
A workaround can be using a download manager. I personally use Advanced Download Manager, which lets me select it as a video player and download the video.
Use advanced download manager (ADM), link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dv.adm
Or you could buy the ad-free pro version.
ADM is the the best. You have to just change the setting for default download manager to external download managers.
I also recommend changing some settings in the ADM editor before it starts the download. It's pretty self explanatory and neato
> From your previous reply, am I correct in understanding that I do not need to do this (get root access) at all?
You are correct. This is just for if you want to use root apps and that stuff.
> Also, when I use Chrome and download files, I would like to have the ability to make folders and indicate where the files would be downloaded to. Currently, Chrome just automatically downloads all files to the Download folder. What can I do to be able to make new folders and download files to them.
This is built-in into Chrome so there isn't much you can do about it. But you can use a 3rd party download manager (something like this) that pops up and asks where to save it.
Don't use snaptube. Uninstall it. After new updates, they are adding bloat features, more ads & asks new shady permissions. App is unacceptable now. They are probably collecting user contacts, call log data and sell it to ad companies for money.
Alternative app is Videoder. It doesn't have bloat & does not ask so many permissions. It has ads in free version. But, you can remove it for 3 US$. I will suggest you to remove ads. And afrer that if possible don't update the app. Also keep the backup of old apk version. It will help in case they add unnecessary features.
For downloading files from internet faster, use ADM. Buy pro version if don't like ads.(2-3 US$)
Spending 5-6 US$ will completely stop ads & bloatware. Even if you try free version of videoder, It doesn't have bloats.
I am not sure but , May be it's due to bandwidth limitations by website ??? Use ADM for faster download speeds. UC browser is good for faster download , but it's a crap app. Filled with ads, bloats , permissions and probably risks user privacy.
Ash3599, it happened to me once (not on Terrarium ). I couldn't stop it and turned off wifi and waited about 20 minutes. Very annoying.
Use a download manager and you'll be able to stop.
ADM https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dv.adm
Tube mate can't handle large files.
Get a download manager. ADM https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dv.adm
IDM+ https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=idm.full.downloader.download.manager
Not an answer to your question but maybe this is useful:
You should be able to to download from the stream source using the OTHER PLAYER setting and opening the stream in Advanced Download Manager.
Advanced Download Manager: better than the default one and useful for big files.
DiskUsage: low storage? This helps you to view your phone storage and sd, with every file on it organized by size.
Does it only occur when using torrents? As a workaround you might want to try downloading from SERVER 3 (SERVER A in v4.8) using ADM + OTHER PLAYER
+1 for ADM. It can download straight to SD-card on Lollipop and Marshmallow. Install ADM, set Show Box to SERVER 3 and OTHER PLAYER and press the WATCH NOW button. It will let you open the stream in ADM Editor where you can set the download destination. ADM also speeds up the download.
EDIT: If you're on KitKat, I think you need root to be able to download to external SD card..
There's no download button for server 3 (this is also the case in the original Show Box, I'm not sure why) but you can use a download manager like Advanced Download Manager to download from server 3 by selecting "Other Player". The download button is available for server 4 and 8 but those servers have split video files.
Do you mean when you press Download in the Download | Custom | Play menu, nothing happens?
The Android download manager should start downloading. Works on both my devices.
You could however install Advanced Download Manager and use the Custom button as a workaround. This also drastically speeds up the download.
Yes you can. It also works very well with Advanced Download Manager. You only have to manually add .mp4 to the filename.
I recommend my latest version, Movie HD Lite v3.3.
You can check out this table I made that gives Android's official alternatives to iPhone apps.

Not sure if people heard of these or not, but I don't see them recommended often enough:
App | Description | Tags |
---|---|---|
ADM | Video downloader. Can download literally any video on the web. | basic |
Awesome Pop-up Video | So I accidentally bought this one, but it's great! You can have a floating window for any video, very useful on reddit apps to browse reddit comments while watching the video. Also great on tablets! | tools, paid, basic |
AwSMS | My favorite texting app. It's probably the best competitor of Textra, with similar features and options but also lets you quick reply in the iOS fashion: straight from the heads up display. Like how Hangouts is now doing it. | paid, daily, basic |
Clip Stack | ||
CPU-Z | App that gives the hardware and OS info of your phone. Handy when looking for ROMs or trying to compare newer phones to your current one. | tools, basic |

Habits | Actually called Loop Habit Tracker. A great tracker with both simple and more detailed widgets. The dev is involved and responsive. It looks great, has typical habit tracker functions, and its simple. Open source, material design, great features. I switched to this from MyChain, since now Loop has a widget per habit that you can just "check" off once a day. MyChain hasn't been updated since 2012, hence my switch. | FOSS, daily, health |
LeafPic | My QuickPix replacement. Free, open source, basic gallery with all the features an average user would want. | FOSS, basic |
Libra | health | |
List My Apps | The app that helped me format and create this table! | tools, FOSS, basic |

Snap | Adds a second notification drawer if swiping on the left corner of the status bar, but just for widgets. Very useful to have my agenda widget on, taking a glance at my schedule whenever. | tools, paid |

It might be a bug. Use ADM instead of internal downloader. Much reliable and faster.
Try ADM. Set default download manager to external download manager in the settings or just use 'play with' option and choose ADM.
Try removing UC from battery optimisation to see if the problem persists. If it does, try ADM.
linkme: Advanced Download Manager
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dv.adm
Also a pro version available https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dv.adm.pay&hl=en
Advanced Download Manager
You just hit share and it'll link it right to the download manager, or the browser within the download manager
u/yougcraft1 if you get this you can choose where the file goes and you don't have to download the torrent version
ADM (Google Play) is similar to IDM.
Yes, I use this as an alternative - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dv.adm Works better and flawlessly than default download manager.
You probably need to try using a download manager like ADM. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dv.adm
Advanced Download Manager. Here's the Android version https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dv.adm
You can use the download manager, ADM. You can d/l 3 files at a time. But keep adding more and they're put in a queue.
Oh, I thought : Advanced Download Manager

Apps installed : 79
Apps that I use on a daily base:
List made using List My Apps
Try downloading this app. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dv.adm
You also have to enable downloading from the menu
Try using Advanced Download Manager with server 3/other player.
EDIT: Server 3 has full-length videos unlike server 4 and server 8.
Install Advanced Download Manager. Under PLAYER, select OTHER PLAYER, then press WATCH NOW and open the video with ADM Editor.

ADM?
Ok stupid bot linked wrong app. ADM:
Not solving the anime source problem, but: can I suggest using a download manager like ADM or IDM ?
That way you could queue up your files for download now or later, single or multiple files, and even multiple threads within a file if the site support it.
That way you're using the browser as only the front-end viewer and something else to fetch the files. You could also use a video player to watch them locally. There's also Opera Lite and a few others if you wanted to try a different lightweight browser.
Just a thought.
He probably means ADM: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dv.adm
It's an app, Advanced Download Manager

Yes, the problem persist. I am downloading episodes from the "Server A" using Advanced Download Manager.

Sure, here you go!
You might be thinking of something like this?https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dv.adm other than that, I'm not sure.
Try ADM. It is the best download manager out there. And it has inbuilt browser in it. Any website you open, it automatically shows download option if there is any video content present on the website.
Trust me, you'll love this app.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dv.adm
Thank me after using this app.
This looks long but follow step by step. It's really easy. Don't look ahead and get yourself overwhelmed. Good luck.
Try a download manager. It helps by showing you when the download is complete. Also if a d/l is interrupted you can resume from where it stopped. And ADM will allow you to d/l three files and the same time. If you add more, they will be queued up. ... Settings in Terrarium Choose default play action (Choose download) Scroll down in the settings for: Choose default download manager=external manager.
Get ADM app from play store. Advanced download manager (Their icon is 3 arrows pointing down). By DimonVideo.
When using Terrarium tap on link then download. A dialog will open where you can choose download manager.
If you don't see ADM as a choice then use the app Better Open With by Giorgi Dalakishvili. It will force your Android to see ADM.
Links: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dv.adm

Setting for ADM app: The first setting says Downloading. Look there and at the top it will tell you the folder of where the movies are. You can change the folder. I made it easy for myself and created a folder called ADM. And this is where all mine are downloaded. You won't see the downloads inside the terrarium app.
Place a check mark in the boxes to create an empty file and the Box to Auto resume.
Change the number of downloads to 3. Change the number of threads to 9. Speed of download is Max.
There's not much else that I changed. You can always adjust your notifications how you like.
ADM is the closest app you can get to IDM or J Downloader on android:
