Conclusion and Poll-
Anyway that was review on E- Heroes, I hoped you guys enjoyed it. Oh, I plan on continue doing these kind of archetypal reviews for a while and I would really like to hear what archetype you guys want to hear about. In the description I’ve left a poll for what archetype you want to see. The options are; Dark Magicians, Blue Eyes, Red Eyes, Harpies, Dinosaurs, Cyber Dragons, Lightsworn, Ancient Gears and Dark Worlds. This vid will be the next next one I do, I have an archetype I really want to do for my next review. Hint, it’s an archetype that fell off fairly recently. Anyway that’s all I have to say. Thanks for watching and I hope to see you guys around!
If you are on Android, download the Google Opinion Rewards App. You get money for taking surveys. Take enough surveys and spend the credit you get. Technically not paying if it's not your money.
EDIT: Because some idiot commented and didn't bother even looking up what taking the survey entails... The surveys take less than a minute, maybe 30 seconds. I get anywhere from 10 cents to 70 cents depending on how I answer.
This magnet warrior deck got me to Dl.19, and it's showing no signs of stopping.
Attack the moon is the true MVP of this deck, no one expects it and in most matchups it can be absolutely devastating.
You have to install the data(the one after you download the game) while using a Japanese IP. I used a VPN (TunnelBear in my case) to change my location to Japan and downloaded the voice pack from there. After you download the voices and enter the game successfully, you no longer need the VPN.
the files are in /data/data/jp.konami.duellinks, but I doubt you can (and should) just copy paste them.
I did it with Titanium Backup.
I created a backup on my phone, dragged the backup .zip into the titanium folder on my emulator and restored it from there, worked without a problem
Not relevant to my question, and you didn't tell me whether you're on iPhone or Android. I'm going to assume you're on Android because that's what I used. More importantly, Japanese Duel Links has been screwing with me.
First, you need a VPN. There are plenty of free ones online, I wouldn't know about how good they are though since I have a subscription to NordVPN. Get a VPN and set your location to a server in Japan.
Then, get a GPS faker. There's one on the playstore Faker. You'll need to have developer options enabled though. Set it to a location in Japan too.
Then go to the Play Store. Download Duel Links. Set your language and text to Japanese, and there you go.
It's been kinda fucking with me though. I transferred my data and it automatically set my location back to Australia which is what I linked the account to, and like I said...voices aren't downloading.
Good luck.
Ranked 4.7 on the Play Store with nearly 1.5 million reviews and 4.7 on Apple Store, yet "Komoney are getting teared a new one."
Your echo chamber here doesn't represent the opinions of the entire playerbase. Hate to break it to you. Not everyone who plays Duel Links takes it as seriously as you seem to.
[ANDROID]
if anybody wanna change to japanese, before you change over, make sure to bind your account with konami ID / google play as you will need to redownload whole data to make the changes.
search through the app for JapanVPN & OpenVPN for android and install. fire up JapanVPN and then OpenVPN for android. from setting to app, search duellinks and then storage, Clear Data. fire up the game and instead of recovering your play data, start a new game with 日本語 as language option and voice of your choices ( does not matter ). redownload all the data ( you can close the all VPN as it start. ) when you are done. restart your app and relink your account with google play or konami ID and you are done!
enjoy japanese version of duellink!
for JapanVPN : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lwfd.japanvpn&hl=en
for Open VPN for android https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.blinkt.openvpn&hl=en
you need this 2 app to be able to use the JapanVPN. just open japanvpn first and then openvpn!
Install TunnelBear, and choose to connect from Japan:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tunnelbear.android
VPN stands for "Virtual Private Network". When you connect to the Internet through one, it is like your device were in inside that network. So if you are in a Japanese VPN, the game thinks that you are connecting from Japan.
As a bit of a PC enthusiast, I am going to inform you that you are being a bit silly with that decision, but I don't intend to shame you for it.
Nox is 100% safe when downloaded from the source site, and do not ever trust Firefox's flagging. It's completely useless.
That is a safe link to download the emulator at.
If you want to know the difference between the two emulators, here is some of the things i like the most and why I chose Nox (Pick on your own if you want to use Nox)
Nox has far less intrusive ads, since Bluestacks is becoming pretty annoying with how they handle ads lately.
Nox runs far better than Bluestacks and has a huge amount of settings you can configure to make it run better or to your preference.
Nox has a very intuitive feature which allows you to bind keys to areas on the screen. For Duel Links, I found it is AMAZING to bind right cilck to the bottom left of the screen. To that "back" button you have to click ALL THE TIME in Duel Links. This makes it kind of like left click = confirm, right click = cancel, which feels great, would recommend you do that.
Nox also allows you to emulate multiple android devices, choosing which android phone it's pretending to be as well as allowing you to have multiple instances at once.
When I first started playing, I would play on 2/3 accounts and I chose which account became my main account once I saw the luck I got on boxes.
There's probably a lot more I'm missing, but you get the idea!
That being said to a Brazilian who ordered his favorite card from the US because the Portuguese print bugs me. Trust me, if it has no sentimental value TO YOU, doesn't mean TCG cards don't have sentimental value to anyone.
I still own the GEN1 Staryu Pokemon card that a friend of mine that passed away gave me at reccess when we were in second grade. It's worth 0.62 USD on amazon, but mine is worth the world to me, because a few years after I got it, my friend had to move and ended up passing away in a car crash.
Goes beyond the dollar signs, buddy. If you don't think so, that's on you. But I'm sure those extra nice 2 SR jewels you saved are worth A LOT
You can download this app by Samsung on the playstore, it's called Game Tuner.
You can adjust individual game settings the way you want, so I set it to max resolution on my Note 5 for duel links specifically, it definitely works well for me
You should get rid of it asap. Twilight is proven to be scam. It doesn't filter the blue light out. It just pretends to by using a red layer. There is only one app on google play store that actually filters blue light out and it's called i.flux. However it needs root access. Filtering blue light out does require root on Android, hence why apps like Twilight that doesn't require root are fake. You can read about twilight being fake somewhere on the i.flux forum.
I am morbidly curious to know what the flag of Nepal looks like in the duel results region screen. As you can see it's, uh, not always displayed correctly since it's not a rectangle. So has anyone dueled anyone from Nepal? If so, could you share a screencap?

Bonus: I've noticed that there's "Jerusalem" instead of Israel, is there a Palestinian flag/region? What about Tibet? Or the other "not recognized" countries of North Korea, Armenia, (Republic of) Cyprus, Kosovo? Or anything else you might notice is "weird."
I just started playing a plant deck to counter it. easy wins. baiscly a mariña deck but centered around screwing burn.
Works well against regular decks too.
Could proably be better but i came up with this quickly. Deck
You can watch every Yu-Gi-Oh! series (except Season 0) uncensored in Original Japanese audio with english subs. They're available on CrunchyRoll.
As a person whose watched both the ENG DUB and JPN SUB for the original series, I'd recommend sticking with Japanese SUB. The music and voice acting is better imo. Although if you've never watched the DUB for the DM series, it'd be a shame to not hear the performances that launched the series into popularity in the US. Especially since the dub is what inspired LittleKuriboh to make the parody series Yu-Gi-Oh! Abridged on YouTube.
Aside for the nostalgia of the 4kids Dub of DM, I've watched the rest Subbed, and I highly recommend the Japanese Dub for the performances, music, and tone. The English Dubs, manage to always fill voids of silent tension in the original sub with constant character banter.
Stardust Dragon and it's support cards have been my favourites in the game since they existed and whilst I know they aren't meta or anything I'd still like to make a deck using and focusing on them as good and strong as it can be. The trouble is I'm a returning player after quite a while of just logging in every now and again and opening packs with free gems, so I have no idea what the best options would be to use as an engine and also to keep the deck powerful enough to not get shut down by everything else or brick. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I'm currently running a list I found online with Judgment of Thunder swapped for another Shooting Star and a Pahunder for a Double Resonator because I felt like I needed another Tuner and it can work with Phantom Skyblaster: imgbb.com/vsZpkp1 but whilst it does pop off sometimes it also feels like it bricks way too often and gets shut down pretty easily sometimes.
I'm also very very interested in building another deck focusing around Stardust Chronicle Spark Dragon as well, so any help with that too would be great! Like I said I understand these aren't going to be exactly incredible but I just want to use my favourites in as best a way of possible. I have a few good generic cards too I could include but if it isn't somewhat Stardust related it's likely from a slightly older box, but wouldn't want to list them for risk of making this post even longer than it already is. It's pretty hard to find a good recent list due to people not really playing Stardust or Chronicle Spark right now, thanks a bunch for any help!

Decklist:
Silent Swordsman Lv 7 x1
Silent Swordsman x2
Amazoness Princess x2
Amazoness Queen x1
Amazoness Swords Woman x3
Amazoness Sage x2
Marmiting Captain x1
Cosmic Cyclone x1
Paleozoic Canadia x2
Floodgate Trap Hole x2
Wall of Disruption x1
Amazoness Willpower x1
Amazoness Onslaught x1

Marmiting Captain to swap that SS lv 7, SS, or amazoness queen back to the deck otherwise I can still use it to summon SS. Don't swap amazoness queen if you have onslaught in hand though as you can special summon it in battlephase.
Cosmoc Cyclone to counter Geartown or to remove the key backrow.
Canadia/Floodgate to counter any OTK deck
WOD to surprise anyone playing anything other than ancient gears that I didn't remove it because of them xD
Also I'm using mindscan because it's much harder to predict the set cards in this meta and this deck doesn't have that much backrow removal. so, it's valuable to decide which card to remove.
Matchups:
Koa'ki: I lost to most of them because they always go second and have Hey Trunade in starting hand, but right now most of them reached DLvMax anyways. My DLvMax rankup match was against Koa'ki and I won though.
Ancient Gears: Amazoness Swords Woman and Amazoness Queen counter those 3k beaters if you manage to summon them early.
Masked Heroes: The easiest matchup they have no counter plays to SS except for canadia which you can predict and play around due to mindscan.
Amazoness: I have won all of the mirror matches, but most likely it depends on the draws.
Blue Eyes: Same as Ancient Gears, but much easier.
Vampires: If you get SS going it's hard for them to make a comeback.
I don't remember the other matchups, but I didn't have much trouble facing something else.

I have no idea on linux os, but I googling "proton steam can't sign in duel link" this is the result that matches your scenario: result

First one is definitely legit, second one probably.
What phone do you have? PC or Mac?
I have an iphone, so I had to download this: http://www.lonelyscreen.com/ it let me record through Airplay and then i uploaded it to vid.me
That's why i took so long to upload the video,
My prev post got deleted cuz I linked the wrong vid lοl:
Not a lot of changes compared to my previous decklists, but I realised how vanrulable this deck is to spell and traps. You can ignore any monster ur opponent controls since u can attack directly... But with cards like Necrovalley being teched in, as well as most of the meta decks having heavy backrow (Cyber Dragons, Shiranui, Dark Magician etc), I had to bump the lvl6 synchro to 2 and put Gyokkou in there.
I may dig for a 2nd one sooner or later.
I made a vent post, being frustrated with the deck after grinding in KC and not being able to climb, but making these small changes made a big difference.
Worst matchup is DM going first and oppening Magician's Circle and Magician's Rod, you better pray u get Gyokku in hand.
Blue Eyes can be a difficult matchup, which I never thought I'd day. They run heavy backrow and their synchro negates a grave effect which is huge. Also they play Necrovalley.
I recently came back to the game.I managed to climb to L2 with a f2p deck that couldn't make it any higher.I had 11k gems saved up for the box, but since I was interested in it, 2 days ago, I decided to dig for a DM deck.
I didn't realize how expensive it was and I couldn't complete it, but I had a full SHS deck.I immediately jumped into ranked with it, made a lot of missplays and tilted a lot, but I knew it could climb.
I played 54 games (37W-17L) from L2 to KOG.
As I said I'm new to the deck, so if you have any suggestions or wanna share ur decklist feel free.
Yes you can, I use an iPhone and I wrote the guide /u/Concordia_chaos linked.
I didn't even know that. Yet, Duel Links is not in the shape depicted by Toni112007 with his link; if people look that graph superficially, they can easily end up misunderstanding its content.
If I had to judge DL only out of these graph (which WOULD NOT be even remotely close to being accurate), I'd say that DL is performing very well atm and it will last long. Anyway, I hereby say and underline that I cannot do such an evaluation due to the minismal amount of infos which can be extrapolated out of these graphs.
EDIT:
PS:
If you want to see the various graphs and compare DL with any particular game, the syte is this:
https://www.similarweb.com/app/google-play/jp.konami.duellinks/statistics
get a VPN that has a JP point from the Play Store and re-download the game.
You only need the VPN working for the region check at the beginning i think, you can probably close it after the check during the acutal download and it'll be JP art heaven from there on.
I used TunnelBear for VPN to get my own client to JP text/art. I found it after a quick google search when I was looking to do this. It was free and had a simple interface so I can personally recommend it.
Has anyone successfully downloaded the Japanese audio and kept it? I tried following the steps from this thread, but it reverted back to English after I transferred my data:
Only difference is, I used TunnelBear over OpenVPN because it kept crashing for me. If it helps, I'm on iOS and in NA. Thanks in advance!
There's no word on whether there will be a mode with the normal Yu-Gi-Oh! rules on Duel Links.
There's an older official app that uses them, Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Generation. It hasn't been updated in a year, it doesn't have Link Summoning, but it might be an option.
An unofficial program that you could use instead is YGOPRO, it has the newest cards and mechanics.
Have you checked amazon?
Google play link, try'n open this from your old phone.
However keep this in mind:
[Supported OS] Android 4.4 and above
