Here's the twitch VOD for those that missed it. Well worth a watch, Incredible intro, the best I've seen to an event like this. Good job dreamhack.
Uh, to lazy to do the math. Let's fill the pers
array with all the permutations of [0, 1, 2, 3, 4]
(which there are 120 of), using the code from StackOverflow
var pers = permute([0, 1, 2, 3, 4]);
Then you can quickly figure out how many there are
pers.filter(a => a.every((x, i) => x != i)) // 44
So the probability is 44 / 120, which is about 36.6% (11 / 30 to be exact).
I guess some do that to a certain extent I guess. But Valve ordered the players to do the opposite:
>The autograph should look the same as when you are signing a fan’s mousepad
and >The autograph should not be a work of art (again, it should not take more than 5-10 seconds), and it should be written by you and not by someone else
You are joking but this already exist for Dota

Actually, more than that. About 4.25x as many people in China as the U.S.
EDIT: I didn't mean to correct him, I just wanted to further show that there are precisely HELLA more people in China than the U.S.

I only got it to work by replacing it with the csgo_pirate.txt file for some reason. Add -language pirate to the Launch options and it should work. Haven't found an error yet.
Friendly reminder that these cvars/settings got added with a recent update:
cl_hide_avatar_images | "cl", "a" | Hide avatar images for other players. 0 - Off. 1 - Block All. 2 - Block all but friends cl_sanitize_player_names | "cl", "a" | Replace names of other players with something non-offensive.

I would also like to add that he told one of his friends that queued against him to throw. He did end up throwing, jumping off 4 times and tk'ing me twice.
"encrypted_gid_2" is a Steam-wide attribute for /encryptedmanifests/, so no, the 2 doesn't refer to Source 2. At all.
If you had looked even deeper (or were in the IRC channels), you would've noticed that it was part of a much, MUCH longer list of apps that had the same thing happen to them too, including CS:S, Free to Play (the Dota 2 International documentary), etc.
If the part after /encryptedmanifests/ had something like say "s2dev", then you'd have a reason to freak out, but right now, you're freaking out about nothing related to S2 at all.
Plus, Source 2 isn't even "finished" yet as Dota 2 on Source 2 is still in development.
I use hitfilm express, it's a free editing software and it's way better than movie maker or any other free software IMO.

AFAIK most of them don't fit the requirements set by Valve for autograph stickers.

This was an extremely important round, Counter-Strike is a ~~best of 16 rounds game~~ max round 30 game, where the teams switch sides after 15 rounds, which means both teams get to play defender (Counter-Terrorist, stop the bomb from being planted by killing the entire enemy team or letting the time run out, or defuse the bomb if planted) and attacker (Terrorist, plant the bomb or kill all enemies). In this case the enemies are on match point and have the momentum on their side.
The AWP (Sniper rifle Coldzera is weilding) is a very accurate, when standing still, but slow and expensive weapon. When jumping and firing a weapon where the bullet lands is completely random. Here it happens to land and kill two people with one bullet, which is unheard of.
Not only that, but after winning this round LG manage to bring back the game, take it to overtime (15-15) and win the game in overtime (15-19).
Edit: Forgot to mention that this is the semi final in one of the ~~four~~ three pr year "Major" tournaments hosted by the game creators Valve, with a pricepool of $1 Million.
This was only the first game, you can tune in to the second which is being played here: https://www.twitch.tv/mlg
Anyone got the first two kills? The entire play was insane, perfectly moved around in the smokes. Edit: Eh, just went to the VOD. Here's the time stamp if you want it https://www.twitch.tv/playcevo/v/60617799?t=04h55m49s
Of all the times I've seen similar threads, I've never seen anyone recommend this, so I will.
I have a bunch of these Therapearl packs at my house. They are like hot/cold packs, but reusable.
They cost like 10 bucks. I throw mine in the microwave for 90 seconds, then set it on my lap while I play. Being on my lap helps increase the temperature of my whole body, then I can set my hands on it in between rounds. By like the 5th or 6th round, no matter the temperature in my house, I'm practically sweating.
I've been using this method for the past couple years and there are no downsides. No running to wash your hands. No putting your hands on your stinky nut sack. No sitting on your hands then not being able to feel them. None of that bullshit. And there are no recurring costs like with those "hot hands" hand warming packs.
This would actually be a great thing for LAN tourneys to use. Have 10 of them on deck, microwave them all right before the start, give them to the players. No constant expenses of the shitty little hand warmers that truly do nothing for you.
>an algorithm which matches players based on:

Alright, there appears to be an issue with crashing on at least OS X Yosemite. If you are on Yosemite, and you are incapable of starting the game, leave a response to this comment. Please also retrieve crash info from the dialog box that should hopefully appear whenever apps crash.
Info will be passed along to Valve after a few reports come in. If you're on Mavericks, Mountain Lion, or earlier, and you aren't crashing, please also respond saying so. If you are, follow those steps above.
Your username is scrubbed from the reports and is replaced with "USER", so don't fear.
Im going to say out right I have never used ESEA but I'm glad I haven't. Some people seem to be playing this down for some reason but there are some good points made.
Flaw 1
This is is html forms 101. I find it amazing that they haven't used a simple password type but feel the need to use the new implementation of reCaptcha.
Flaw 2
There is no excuse for any website not to be using HTTPS/SSL especially one of this magnitude. The cost to do this would be like water of a duck's back.
Flaw 3
Like OP says it doesn't necessarily mean they are storing them as plain text in the database but this isn't acceptable.
Flaw 4
This could be worse (you could get your password sent by email proving their database doesn't make any attempt to obscure your actual password) but it could be better...
I have never looked into the steam api so I am making assumptions going off other other major social websites (Facebook, Google+ etc). Surely it is redundant to have their users create new accounts when they can authorise users via steam and have the authentication system purely based upon signing up and logging in via steam resolving a lot of these flaws since the steam account will have to be compomised to gain access and ESEA never receive the users' steam credentials just tokens.
Flaw 5
Giving the option of 2-Step verification would a step in the right direction if the above isn't utilised.
It is extremely negligent that a organisation of this scale would have such a backwards way of doing things.
They got a pretty big detail wrong. All Valve has publicly said is "nearly all key purchases that end up being traded or sold are believed to be fraud-sourced", not nearly all transactions in CS:GO are believed to be fraud related like it says in the article.
Might be a common trend for him.

Edit: First of all, I'd like to thank everyone for their responses to the survey and this thread. There have been ~10,000 legitimate responses. Next, I'd like to recognize that there are some obvious flaws in the survey when trying to determine how fast one has gained rank. Despite the flaws, the data gathered is precious. My most important goal in designing this survey was actually to see how far the community has advanced. While making this survey, I had actually considered a lot of the suggestions that have been given but dismissed them because they would likely be very inaccurate. Competitive wins and hours played can easily be looked up by anyone whereas the number of wins at the current rank and the number of hours spent idle would all be guestimations. So, with that in mind, how best could I or someone else design a survey that would incorporate questions that would give better data?
The following are some of my favorite responses:

This one in particular, for example, has too many details and intricacies that would take some time to get right when done manually, even if you trained for it. Wouldn't get accepted on that basis alone.

Posted this a few days ago. MTS acquired Praliss Enterprise (company that controls Gambit Esports) for 220 million RUB (~$3.5 million) back in 2017 and included it in their audit report for the year. The extra $1.5 million or 93 million RUB is possible reward for “future achievements”, to be paid 12 months after Praliss was acquired.

You say Valve doesn't know what to do with CS as if it needs some sort of new gimmick to bring in new players. That is really not priority imo. Historically the CS community prefers consistency which makes sense for a competitive game. CS really contrasts dota in the sense that it doesn't revolve around complex ever-changing metas but is instead built on a few fundamental skills. It's like beauty in it's simplicity if that doesn't sound too corny. Aim, movement, teamwork, map knowledge, opponent knowledge. Give the game consistency and let the skill of the players create the enjoyment.
So when you say fix the bugs that really is priority. We as a community have no confidence that issues with the game will be fixed because we get almost nothing to go off of until an update full of shit from out of nowhere.
I've been met with downvotes when I mention EpicGames and UT4 but imagine having this level of detail about the future of the game. Having a communication channel goes a long way to instill a sense of confidence in your community. Right now when I click a /u/wickedplayer494 update thread I pretty much have no idea what to expect.
Knowing about wtf is happening is a good first step. I think as toxic or w/e you want to call the community are if Valve opened a discussion through some structured issue/enhancement tracker we might even be able to make some headway on other stuff like jumping accuracy or first bullet inaccuracy. I'm sure there's some benefit to letting more than the 8 CSGO devs tackle problems like these.
You just have to remove the F2P license first.
Go into "Account Details" > "View licenses and product key activations":
(Or click this: https://store.steampowered.com/account/licenses/)
Click the "Remove" button next to ESEA and then click "OK".
Then you should be able to purchase the premium version.

It looks like the start of the ESL updates as its that time of the year. My detective powers are telling me that there is going to be another update in the horizon that will be content updates, (stickers, tournament related features.)
I am actually a one armed gamer (lost left arm, right handed and play with left foot combo if on console) and play CSGO often. I use a Corsair Scimitar Pro - (12 keys) and am able to easily play
My key binds are (bear with me, I’m counting those 12 separate keys as 1-12 as not to be confused)
1 - left movement/strafe
2 - foward
3 - right movement/ strafe
4 - crouch
5 - back movement
6 - jump (easy to roll thumb from 2 to a jump with a small right movement but nothing game changing)
7 - is not bound I don’t think
8 - change weapon (only because mouse wheel is broken lol specifically set to next weapon so I can have a set amount of times I need to hit to switch, very inconvenient compared to mouse scroll up and down for next and previous so not advised)
9 - not bound
10 - to reload
11 - drop weapon (have automatic weapon pick up which I would advise to turn off, can get in the way occasionally
12 - “Use” (to open / close doors, pick up shit)
Space bar - “walk” but I have a lil baby nub that I can slam on the keyboard in the event I need too
You can see there is still 2 left over keys and not including mouse scroll up / down so you have room to add or switch things. I have about 700 hours on csgo and this is a pretty comfortable binding even with the missing keys and minute circumstances such as one listed at key-bind 6. With 20 keys you can easily add mic on/off and other things.

As a side note, if you like nightmode you can always enable it via the RES extension. I personally use night mode anywhere possible, so I make sure everything stays compatible :P
Odds moving a few percent right before a game starts isn't really indicative of anything, especially with only 20,000ish people betting on this game. A lot of the bigger bettors choose to go in late: first off to make sure the odds don't shift to a level where their intended bet doesn't make sense anymore, secondly to try to minimize the amount of time their bet can impact the odds (example of this is that some bettors will change their bets if they see an odds shift which usually indicates a bigger bettor/group of bettors are going in on a team - betting with 30 minutes gives these types of bettors 25 minutes to change while betting with something like 7 minutes gives them 2)
I personally dropped somewhere around 2000-2500$ on epiphany from across 10 accounts (https://gyazo.com/tabs/af5f8754b28d1c4762a4307cdf683838) around 8 or so minutes before the game. I always bet late and as close as possible to when bets close. I know there's a bunch of other bettors who likely do the same. Again, like I said, I don't think that oddshift means much considering that only 20,000 people bet on this match and a lot of underdog bettors went in last minute like usual. If you want to see a sketchy oddshift go check out the last KFish game on lounge where the guy parked like 100 maxes on KFish to keep the odds reasonable up until the last moment where he switched
I guess Valve don't enforce these rules then:
The autograph should look the same as when you are signing a fan’s mousepad. Sign a white sheet of paper with a black marker (it should not take more than 5-10 seconds), and take a photo of the result.
The autograph should not be a work of art (again, it should not take more than 5-10 seconds), and it should be written by you and not by someone else. Fans are interested in YOU–it’s ok if it the autograph doesn’t look amazing, as long as it’s yours!
We typically reject: computer-generated art, fonts, overly-complicated art or designs that cannot be recreated during a mousepad-signing session.
After all this shit from Esea I wanted to go ahead and delete my account. Turns out this isn't possible. So I did the following: Created 10 minute mail in http://10minutemail.com/ . replaced that email to my Esea account and changed all my information something like "FUCK ESEA" with description "Esea doesn't let me delete my account". After that I noticed that I cannot delete my steam id from Esea account. So I created new Steam account with that ten minute email address and replaced this steam ID to ESEA account. Now there's zero information on my ESEA account so it's kinda deleted? :D
He posted again claiming 40% loss on all 3 maps:

https://blog.counter-strike.net/index.php/csgo-major-selection-process-faq/
Q: The most recent Major was in [some particular location]. Are you looking for proposals in a different timezone/country/region for the next event?
A: No. As long as the proposed location doesn’t come with a significant risk of local or online viewer inconvenience, or generate substantial logistics problems, we’re willing to consider any location.
The global audience for CS:GO tends to hit its peak at around 14:00 EST, so we prefer proposals that can place the most important match-ups around that time. Note that it’s easier for an online audience to stay up a little late than to wake up early, and arena audiences don’t like to attend as late as online audiences peak viewership, which means that ideal locations are between EST and CET.
Hey there new players!
A while ago I wrote a csgo-guide that many people liked and got a 5-star rating. Being motivated by the feedback, I decided to keep on writing and now it has become a complete e-book for cs-players.
I would love to hear some feedback. I know it is very detailed/boring in the beginning, but the tips and tricks in chapter 4 are surely helpful for a lot of players :)

Cultural clash I guess, people have been screaming in French lans for 18 years. Sweden is a lot more reserved and you pretty must have to be humble and quiet, that's why maikelele and MODDII never really fit. That's also why, besides the language barrier, internationnal teams can be very difficult with people coming from different cultural backgrounds.
Just for the luls, Ozstrik3r (current LDLC coach) in 2005, go to 4:25 ;)
They have asked them before teams have been locked in past. And Valve wouldn't really need to do shit to ask for the signatures.
They could just tell ESL to email all teams with the info.
It's not really complicated to submit the signature, the guide is public here: https://blog.counter-strike.net/index.php/playeritems/
It's not the textures that are grainy, it's the video itself. With certain rendering methods (such as with Blender Cycles) you sacrifice having a clear image for having a lower render time. You can get a less grainy image but it would take much longer to render.
https://www.blender.org/manual/render/cycles/reducing_noise.html
It was a rollback of yesterday's update.
Edit: Got downvoted for speaking the truth. The update spotted by SteamDB earlier to day was simply a rollback of yesterdays update for the DPR. It simply reverted the build version to the pre-update DPR version from yesterday. In addition, as WickedPlayer stated, if there was reasonable evidence for a large update, app ID 741 (the CS:GO dedicated server build) would have been updated too.
I've been working on something big with other people and it's taking longer than expected so I made this video to bridge the gap. I've also been making a game which has been taking up quite a bit of my time
Uhh... I've had a computer pretend to be a HID (mouse) for another machine using a $5 cable --- this wasn't what I used but here's another way.

Close to 150ms for males around 20 ? This is so bullshit lmao. 24yo here sitting around 250ms (equivalent 60yo if we follow your link lol), totally average and is absolutely not relevant in my play.
EDIT :
Believable, scientificaly made test on reaction time vs. age
Graphs
Source
Left graph is reaction time vs age, right graph is the standard deviation (i.e. dispersion of the results, spread). We see that not only it moves very little but most importantly, as we go to older ages it's much more variable depending on the individual. We can expect veteran cs players to be at the extreme low of their age bracket given their activity.
And ignoring all this, reaction time is a very very very overrated feature for a player. Spacial awareness, precision & game knowledge (among other things) all surpass reaction time by far when it comes to the ingredients that make a great player.
Wait. 'Throwing a game' means 'lost a game on purpose'. Didn't he literally lose a game on purpose?
Edit: Furthermore, as stated below the official definition of the word 'literally' says it can now 'emphasize a statement or description that is not literally true or possible". Language evolves, I guess.
~~These arent quake bots, Csgo bots have nowhere to write any behavior to a disk, they are determined by a botprofile.db file that gives their stats. Bots in CSGO do not learn, they are as skilled as the dev wants to make them.~~

So, I guess it depends on whether you take that to mean a coach can listen to, but not talk to players. Which I think is reasonable, whether it's in actual comms like TeamSpeak or discord but muted, or via the player cams, or other cams/mics in the room.

You should read the book Thinking Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman - excellent read that I would highly recommend. I think you'd find the book interesting, and it discusses this topic in depth.
I don't think the privacy changes Valve made affects the daily player count statistics as it is publicly available data as seen here, so the decrease in average daily player count is likely accurate.

(you can google on how to do that) or put batch files ( .bat
) in the same directory as the executable with the following contents:
//144Hz.bat nircmd setdisplay "monitor:name" 1920 1080 32 144 -updatereg
//60Hz.bat nircmd setdisplay "monitor:name" 1920 1080 32 60 -updatereg
Where name
is the name of your monitor ( "monitor:BenQ XL2411Z"
). Note that quotation marks are required if the monitor name contains spaces. You can obtain the name of your monitor by either checking the Nvidia control panel or the Display menu in the Windows control panel.
The program may require administrative privileges and the batch files can then be run by double-clicking them. The refresh rate of the specified monitor will be set to the specified value.
Make sure your monitor is properly installed on the system and the options of setting it to higher refresh rates are available. If they're not, your monitor either doesn't support them or you didn't install its drivers properly (or you're not using DVI-DL or DisplayPort to connect your graphics card to the monitor).
Don't use this if you aren't at least slightly knowledgeable in these matters.
Really ? Why? If it is because you want to make a luckshots video sure, just tell me where I can host it for free and easy. If it's because you think I cheat I'm not going to waste my time.
Edit: My wife just told me that as OP, I had to deliver -.- Here is the demo: https://www.mediafire.com/?vu5wrw8db8v5ei2
vk is a banned domain on reddit, but here's his post

I went looking for how his hair would look like "naturally" and this is the closest I could find:
Unless you have naturally thick and semi-curly hair it can be hard to pull off. But if you do, make sure you don't use too much shampoo or conditioner, avoid using it everyday and try two or three times a week instead.
For the routine: shower your hair, lightly dry your hair with a towel, not too much but not so it's completely wet. Then use an hair dryer, not too hot. Then you can use a product, any kind that specializes in the "pompade" style that Nifty has. For example: Amercan Crew Pompade (amazon link). Use your hands instead of a comb and work the product over the hair. Don't forget the bottom of the hair too so you don't just work the top as it can be hard for the bottom to hold up the top. Style it like Nifty has it and there you go, now you can be a successful awper/IGL in any NA team
Been waiting for this a long time...one thing I don't get is why different VAC tracking sites are showing different amounts of people banned. Some are saying 500 and the other one is saying 55.
Dafuq.
Still saying only 55 people got banned today: https://steamdb.info/stats/bans/
He is the founder. He sure must have partners, investors, but its safe to say he is the owner. Its kinda all the same thing.
Unless Fallen sold majority of Games Academy and only works there, still having a "founder" title, which I highly doubt.
"A person can use either Founder, Co-Founder, Partner or Owner in their title if they are an actual Founder, Co-Founder, Partner or Owner."
"Board of Directors represent ownership (i.e. shareholders). Their job is to represent the interests of equity holders."

>It looks amazing. Please keep a darker version after the major.
Thanks! Night mode is always available you know ;)
All credit goes to /u/zebradolphin5/ as ususal.
The most recent example of this is the new attachments. My personal favourite is the one that makes your bullets do more damage with no consequences: http://combatarms.nexon.net/News/UpdateView.aspx?boardidx=741
The gameplay itself is pretty bad and the game has mandatory mouse smoothing, but the balance is the real killer.
>This is unfounded and very unhealthy speculation and conjecture.
I have to respectfully disagree. There is a place for this conversation.
Valve have been pushing against coaches, privately, then publicly:
> At past Majors, we have had conversations with pro teams about the participation of their coaches in the gameplay responsibilities of players and they assured us that their coaches focused on activities traditionally associated with coaching, such as preparation, support, opponent study, etc. > > We were always open with them about our opinion that distributing the work of 5 players (e.g. keeping track of the economy, calling plays and mid-round calls, and general situational awareness) across 6 people was not in line with our goals, one of which was to make it possible for new teams to emerge and compete at the highest levels.
I really recommend that anyone reading this read the rest of Valve's statement, and read it carefully. They have really good points and the statement is carefully written.
When (or if) Valve make a more definitive decision on the role of coaches, it's going to be seen, partly, in light of these events. I'm happy someone's bringing this up, coaches have been a big thorn in the eyes of CS:GO as a fair sport for a startup team to get into. There is a fundamental problem with them. It is unrelated to the bug abuse, but this situation is going to be reflected in whatever decision Valve make.
They made some good money off this shit. And to think that the odds were only 17% for NCG. People are so sad defending these scumbags who basically stole from the community. In other sports, this much evidence would be enough to send people to jail.
Not a pro/ex-pro but a sports writer wrote a book titled Game Boys from when he was tasked with following coL and Team3D for a news article.
Mind you, the author is covering Counter-Strike circa 2004-2007 and while its a bit different than what CS is now, its still an enjoyable read and I think he did a fantastic job capturing the scene at the time, especially being someone with an outsiders perspective.
There was an update in 2017 where they added a greifing explanation for " not participating in the match for an extended period of time."
So I'd just report them for greifing :)
Going to have to find a secret passage on Inferno that leads to Dante's Cave where you will search for inscriptions on the walls that lead to an imgur link with a photo of Gaben but if you examine closer you can see that in his eye it isn't pixels but numbers and once you plot those numbers onto a graph you find the ballistic knife's coordinates marked by an X.
IMPORTANT
People may have noticed a sharp drop in banned cheaters during the past few days: https://steamdb.info/stats/bans/
Last seen Game ban on the 22nd: https://www.vacstat.us/list/latest/game
This is because Overwatch bans are currently not showing up as a Game Ban on profile. Therefore there is no way to know a cheater is banned by OW until this is fixed.
Sorry for linking to some shitty ass channel with stolen content full of ads, guys.

Change the Zoom to Year on the graph. I am honestly hoping that this is just the calm before the storm and VAC is currently flagging multiple cheats so when the major comes we get a huge wave.
Yes! This happens to me as well if I drag my mouse too quickly to the side and click. I posted a thread about this and someone gave me a good solution.
Download and run this program. Then follow the image here: http://i.imgur.com/vRHUSjY.png
I have it set to F4. And when I activate it, it will lock the cursor to the current screen so you can't move the mouse outside of the screen.
And woop! Problem solved! :)

Eh? One of it's purposes is to create a DDoS immune connection.
If they already have your local IP, you're screwed, but if they only have your VPN shared IP your in the clear. The IPs are shared by hundreds, if not thousands of users, and are connected to a huge server farm. If the DDoS was big enough to take down that connection, then many many people would be negatively affected. And seeing how I've used Private Internet Access for years now without any such issue, I believe they can handle it.
For some reason I couldn't make my own thread so if you could do it for me (and title it something along the lines of "Best Power Plan for FPS Analysis") that's free karma for you, but this is what I was getting
CPU: i7-7700 @ 3.6ghz
GPU: MSI GTX 1060 3gb
RAM: 16gb 2400mhz
Game is on an SSD
Discord is open & overlay is ON
Resolution: 1280x1024 streched
Settings: All LOW
Balanced: Average framerate: 308.38
Ultimate Performance: Average framerate: 297.39
High Performance: Average framerate: 295.14
Power Saver: Average framerate: 291.73
Note: All tests were only run once as I do not have the patience to sit here and wait for the test to complete multiple times.
Note 2: Initial Average framerates were with custom Performance options with only "Smooth edges of screen fonts" and "Show window contents while dragging" ON.
Since I was doing it already I decided to do the same for Rainbow Six Siege
I included a post of all the 'legacy' audio clips that were added in this weeks patch within the update thread. Not everybody reads the comments though. Here you guys go again :)
A lot of undocumented stuff was changed with this update. Including -
TURN DOWN VOLUME TO PREVIEW
Legacy Radio Commands
Legacy SFX
This reminds of f0rest saying on stream "Today, you won. Tomorrow, you win. Next week, you also win. In a year, you might also win. But in five, and you maybe retire, I will win."

> Nobody knows
I wouldn't say nobody knows; anyone who read the Release Notes for 6/4/2014 should know that wins against a banned cheater won't get reverted.
Assuming the supposed patch is from 2020-05-27
> – Players that are frozen by game logic no longer take damage.

The end of the video shows a news story from 2020-09-09. The's video's only 2 months old at the most. Of course, it would be great if OP uploaded a demo or gave a match id/sharecode.
https://blog.counter-strike.net/index.php/coaching/
The relevant paragraph in my opinion is "We were always open with them about our opinion that distributing the work of 5 players (e.g. keeping track of the economy, calling plays and mid-round calls, and general situational awareness) across 6 people was not in line with our goals, one of which was to make it possible for new teams to emerge and compete at the highest levels."
Valve is more concerned with a team being able to improve when they may be unable to afford a coach than they are about FaZe or other huge orgs being able to pay a sixth man to IGL for them. IGL is a skill, and I actually agree with valve on this. Many people have brought up having coaches talk during pre round, but that's still too much. Valve isn't exactly known for backtracking their decisions either.
So, short worded and easy to understand lines of text are what you prefer to read? And you go around calling other people clowns when someone takes the time to respond and shut you down and you don't bother reading it? You are the one taking arguments, https://blog.counter-strike.net/index.php/2016/06/14766/. Read the bottom of that post, if you want a childrens TL;DR, other people had a personal problem, you didn't have a personal problem. Your opinion and experience differs, other peoples opinions and experience differs. It was an objective change, just because you didn't need it doesn't mean others didn't as well.
Plenty of servers for both, I've never had issues finding a competitive or deathmatch game at any time of the day. Go for 1.6 if you want the feels, CS:S feels too modern already.
Wizards does essentially acknowledge that cards have secondary market value, otherwise they wouldn't have created the reserve list (a list of cards to never be reprinted to preserve their value). They don't specifically use the word value, but they are acknowledging they have a collectable factor.
