The desktop client is pretty much only a web wrapper for a somewhat responsive website as well. I don't think that's necessarily bad, at least as long as the website is well designed. The Steam app for android was last updated in April 24, 2017, so that might also be sign.
The layout will most likely be changed with the promised UI-update, but there's ValveTime™.
APK also available directly if you don't have access to the store

>New security features and some bug fixes.
None for iOS so far.
Google store says it requires version 2.2. This website says that phone runs 4.4. You should be fine.
There is a Mobile App, including 2FA Codes. I never used Emails to log in to Steam

...the end is nigh, this can't be real... Installing anyway, got to see if it is actually usable now.
edit: ...still no group chats, though. boo.
edit 2: last update was 2012, it's 2015 now. 2015-2012 = 3. You see where I'm going with this? /s
Not sure what exact SDA your a talking about but bans are linked by authentication system phone number.
So for https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.valvesoftware.android.steam.community&hl=en_US
>Do VAC and Game bans apply to all accounts on a phone number?
If an account that has a phone number registered to it receives a VAC or Game ban, all other accounts that use the same phone number will also receive a ban. If the other accounts do not own the game they will still receive the ban and be unable to purchase the title on that account.
This feature is not enabled for all games and will be used at the discretion of the developer.
Better install Steam app from Google Play Store. You won't have to wait to send / receive SMS messages and it generates 2 FA codes to enter in Steam client or website
Agree, however it seems like it actually was a bug fix. See What's new. I am sadly on mobile, so I can't look further into it.
The short answer is that you can't play steam games on the RCA Maven Pro. You will probably need a laptop/tablet that runs Windows like the Microsoft Surface.
The longer answer:
The RCA Maven Pro runs an operating system (OS) called android lollipop which is a special flavor of the Linux OS.
Depending on the game, it's targeted to a specific OS, the vast majority of steam games at this point in time are targetted to the Windows x86/x64 OS. To play those games you will need a Windows laptop/tablet like the Microsoft Surface or anything from Sony/HP/etc. with a Windows operating system. To run games well you will probably also want a dedicated GPU in the tablet
There is a steam app for android https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.valvesoftware.android.steam.community&hl=en currently only supports the non gaming related features of steam (friends, purchases, etc) which is probably what you downloaded.
One caveat is that Steam does sell games for Mac and Linux. So if you bought games for Mac or Linux you will need a tablet with the respective OS to play those games. However since Windows still occupies 80%+ of the PC market, my guess is you will need a Windows laptop/tablet.
I wouldn't discount Valve readily working with some manufacturer that wants to create a lighthouse based competitor to GearVR.
It would surprise me if there wasn't already some sort of internal communication happening between Valve and the Google Cardboard team about creating a device that could offer a cardboard experience beyond a lighthouse field and then when one is available a lighthouse enhanced mode would be provided.
Yes there is
hello fellow BONER you can download it on your phone https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.valvesoftware.android.steam.community&hl=en&gl=US
I recall having the issue all the way from Android 5.0 with Fennec. The Steam app is essentially mandatory for all Steam users since Valve supports no open 2FA methods, but I'll move to the work profile after figuring out how to transfer the data.
*[...]whether I want to open
You mean the actual ability to play games? otherwise they do have an app. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.valvesoftware.android.steam.community
??? What are you talking about? Are you using a Windows/Mac/Linux box for your TV? Or are you talking about using Remote Play? I just checked the website for this program and I do not see an android version anywhere. What are you using here? I legit am confused. You used this?
68 votes as 'helpful' too even ... smh
If you put it on your wishlist, and if you get the steam app on your phone, you'll get a notification when anything on your wishlist goes on sale.
For Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.valvesoftware.android.steam.community
Well according to the Google Play Store page for the app, the app was updated on January 19, 2019 and the changelog reads: "Fix application crashing when notifications are received. Notifications should now display correctly."
So yes, I would assume some update broke it.
Same thing is happening to me on my Pixel 2 XL. :(
Can you try to re-install the app?
Doing so will clear the cache and delete any temp files which might be causing the issue.
What OS are you using on your phone? The app recently got an update that dropped support for some older OS versions.
Edit: It either dropped support or dropped further development, I can't quite remember and I do not know how to view changelogs on Andriod/iPhone apps.
Edit 2: Requires Android 2.3 and up - Source.
Does NOT respect the ANDROID SYSTEM WIDE settings for notification content on the lock screen, by DESIGN.
The authenticator does exist. It's just the Steam mobile app.

I'm sorry to hear about that - you're sure it's not supported on your old Android phone though? According to the install page, it works with Android down to 2.2 which is positively ancient. If you have lower than that, maybe CyanogenMod or some other custom ROM on your phone could help you, especially since you're moving to Windows Phone anyway and maybe you don't mind what happens to your Android phone? What sort of error messages are you getting?
Both Android and iOS received an update last week on 22Oct15. I think this is the third (maybe fourth) update since Valve broke their 3+ year dry-spell earlier this year.
Seems to just be bugfixes. From the Play Store:
Steam for iOS
Steam for Android
It's the full client, but it includes your friendlist, and the ability to chat.
The main reason i'd like this would be for in home streaming.
If you're at work, just download the steam mobile app real quick:
And even for Windows Mobile
Catch'em all! They are indeed limited ;)
You haven't been up to date I think, it's been updated a lot and it looks really good.
Especially when talking about the Android app – Mar 1 2012 ._.
Update is just rolling out https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.valvesoftware.android.steam.community
Yeah, it's 3 years old...
I never had this issue even in the beta. This is the official Steam app.
Are you sure you have the official steam app?
You can download the steam mobile app
Works just as well as the pc version
Nope. And registering free games works with it by the way, I'm doing it all the time.
link to your profile ?
Again? According to Play Store

PLEASE VALVE THIS!!!! might i suggest you post your idea here as well http://www.reddit.com/r/Steam/ - I MADE MY OWN POST IN THE PAST REQUESTING THE SAME THING HERE http://www.reddit.com/r/Steam/comments/2vnxwe/suggestion_please_update_your_steam_app/ - "If your like me you may have tried the steam app on your phone before, only to uninstall it sometime shortly later. It doesn't take long for users to realize there is not much functionality to the app, especially in comparison to actual features steam provides standard on PC. In fact the only features I can think of are as follows: Browse player profiles and chat with friends... And in my personal experience and with talking to friends there is a constant connect/reconnect issue going on, so your not guaranteed to send/receive every message that's been sent to or from steam users. Its just useless compared to what it could be and how it could improve the market/community of CS:GO as well as other community's. Here is a link to the app described. - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.valvesoftware.android.steam.community&hl=en I suggest improvements with more capabilities like the ones available on the steam client for PC user. Such as trading, market, store, steam voice call (how nice would that be on a phone), and a reliable messaging service. Please help me raise awareness of this issue!"
Because Valve, and we must be online to advertise to friends for them? http://store.steampowered.com/recommended/friendactivity/ You know its not Facebook, but then, worse than Facebook mobile. Install Steam NOW! I mean NOW!?!?
Here: If you can't wait a few days.
Steam App requires Android 2.2 and above = Froyo (an OS version so out of date I didn't know it existed.)
Buy it now listings for Android Tablets; skip past the "repair ones".
If you can't wait
