Here is ShareX
basically a program that allows you to record and upload GIFs and take screenshots of specific size as well. though for screenshots you can just use the Steam hotkey.
I just really want people to use programs made for this instead of making Photos or Videos with their shitty phone of the screen with a shaky hand.
Attention my fellow eye-strained! If you find yourself staring at a bright screen for huge amounts of time in a dark room, ask your local witch doctor if f.lux may be right for you.
It may seem weird at first, but you won't notice it after a while. Your eyes definitely will feel less strained in the long run.
Well, there is real "hero rescue" game, bur it only has 400 or so levels, and the difficulty raises very slowly, being trivial in first 200
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.herorescue.knight.pull.pin
But yeah, the ads are all fake and link to other shit games.
Why downvote a person who asks a question?
First, record your video. I use Open Broadcaster Software
Then, convert the video into a gif.
Source? Their FAQ says that this is their last update planned
Here is the inventory of the ores and bars we collected, as well as a few other things. Let me know if there's more inventory you would like me to take and I'll add it to the list!
>[01:28:08pm] <Naturallymade> Redigit: Would you consider uploading it late tomorrow (like midnight) so its released early in the Uk, instead
>[01:28:31pm] <Redigit> it'll prob be between 12 and 3pm EST
This was just said on IRC. But who knows when Steam will release it for download.
make a 3 (or higher) high "door" made up of blocks (dirt blocks/stone blocks/etc), put actuators on the "door", put pressure plates to the left and the right side of the door, wire the actuators and pressure plates together.
Basic Platform Arena for PVE : Isolation Zone
I think Hallowed Jungle would have a theme focused on a more intense "hallucination" vibe. Something like a cross between mushroom forest biome and hallow, like this
Lots of that cyan green and pink shit, dark blue ambience, fog
1:1 scale view (google photo link) . Originally, this aircraft carrier is built by WarWar, and I've just revamped.
A lot of people will model a 3-sided die using a regular 6-sided die. The results are simply grouped as 1-2, 3-4, and 5-6.
Of course, he might actually have a d3.
Well, it's in a world I share with some buddies, so I put it in a new world (I don't want to share that one and it's also way off to the left on that map, through hallow).
Don't play this on multiplayer though, the boulders lag for me and get destroyed in mid air and sometimes the liquid physics screw the whole thing up. Works without a problem in Single Player. Also setting it up takes way too long, so I suggest keeping a backup.
Oh and the outfit is in the chest.
Logic gates are basic units of computation for computer processors. They have inputs, and produce outputs based on their inputs. The AND gate is one such logic gate that takes two inputs, and if both are a 1, the output is a 1. The OR gate will output 1 given any combination of input that includes at least one 1. There are a number of other logic gates that do similar logic functions. If you are interested in more information, try here!
Sure!
Map here. The demon altars are all smashed, but none of the ore is mined. You'll also find a chest and a half full of Fast Clocks, since I didn't bother to remove them.
This shows wherever I've moved, clicked, or kept the mouse in a certain place.
Moving is represented by lines, clicking is represented by hollow circles, and keeping the mouse in place is represented by filled circles.
The program I used for this is called IOgraphica and can be found here.
For an automatic process you could create a symlink. However, Dropbox doesn't play nice with symlinks in Windows so you'd have first move your saves into dropbox and then create a symlink to that folder in the My Games\Terraria\ folder.
In windows 10, search power and sleep settings to find this menu. Change sleep to never: https://i.imgur.com/fHUpYea.png This menu might look different on Laptops, so look around.
Personally I like my computer to sleep after inactivity, so instead I use a program called Caffeine to temporarily disable sleeping. While the program is in the Task tray, it'll keep my computer awake. http://www.zhornsoftware.co.uk/caffeine/
Either option works, I just like being able to temporarily control it rather than changing the setting and forgetting to change it back.
It's the Eye of Cthulhu toy made by Jazwares.
They've been available for a while (there was a whole line of toys at one time). You can find this particular one (and maybe a few others) on Amazon.

Using the power of calculus, it follows that for a given k of wooden arrows (assuming you collect every dropped arrow you fire) you should effectively get to fire roughly 3*k* arrows.
Here's the WolframAlpha page for the series.
Example: 200 + 133 + 89 + 59 + 40 + 27 + 18 + 12 + 8 + 5 + 3 + 2 + 1 = 597
Ive read a few places that 1.3 is supposed to be coming out by the end of the year. Hopefully the will fix the wiring bugs in that update as well.
Edit: check a few posts down here: https://terraria.org/news
Fraps has a free version which should be fine for simple captures (the full version costs USD 37). VirtualDub is completely free. VirtualDub is used for transcoding video. One of the things it can do is apply filters to the source video. A null transform is a filter that doesn't change the video appearance but can be used to crop the source video so the output video is just a smaller section.
Sony certification process takes 5-7 days according to Kotaku: https://kotaku.com/5080083/so-how-long-do-sony-and-microsofts-approvals-processes-take
Sounds like certification could identify new bugs/issues and result in subsequent submissions back to Sony, but we can be hopeful that this won't be the case!

I am currently working on a small adventure map that will feature a number of challenges. One of those challenges will be solving the passcode needed to get past a door similar to the one featured in the video. Stay tuned - the adventure map should be quite a challenge!
Also Loki said last month "June will be here before we all know it!", so I am guessing June-ish is still a realistic release date.
Thanks OP! Now I can play Terraria again! Ever since I ditched windows, I've been craving for Terraria and the console version has not been updated to 1.2. The problem is I encounter xAudio issue with this wrapper.
Microsoft xAudio2 CPU does not meet minimum requirements. Streaming SIMD extensions support required.
I'm on a late 2012 MacBook (Mavericks). I don't enjoy playing Terraria without sound, so I dig around to see if this issue can be fixed. I was able to fix the audio issue by updating the wineskin engine to 1.7.10.
Here are the steps for anyone who encountered this problem:
Next time you run Terraria, go to Settings -> Volume and max it up!
Maybe with iTools or iFunBox you can see if the files are still on the device. I am not sure if there is such thing as temp data but it's worth a shot.
http://www.itools.cn/multi_lang_pc_download.htm
Hope this helps to recover your data.
What are the temps reported by your cpu/gpu? It may be time for a better fan, water cooling, or maybe just check the thermal paste.
As far as temps go, I use Speedfan to keep an eye on my temperatures.
Update will release at 1 PM EST on June 30th (tomorrow).
Someone created a countdown clock avaliable here to count down until release (give or take a few minutes).
i use tshock very often, first of all, visit https://github.com/TShock/TShock/wiki/Commands-%26-Permissions for all the commands/permissions, the make a new notepad file (.txt) and name it 'groups' in the Tshock folder (the same one as your motd, config, etc files). After doing so, open it up and write the name of your group (ie. Admin, Moderator, Member, VillageIdiot (remember no spaces in the name!)). Next write the parent of the group (ie. if you want TrustedMember to have the same permissions as RegularMember, then you would write 'TrustedMember RegularMember'. this will give trustedmember all the permissions that regular member (and regular member's parent) has), as well as add more permissions to TrustedMember. Third, write what permissions you want TrustedMember to have (ie. ban unban kick item, canlava etc.) Note: TrustedMember already has the same permissions as Member because member is its parent!
hopefully you understood that... Here is an example:
NewGuy null canbuild canwater
Member NewGuy canlava warp tp spawnmob
TrustedMember Member managewarps spawnboss managegroups
Admin TrustedMember etc etc...
Remember to always put the parent BEFORE the group, so Member's parent (NewGuy) must be written BEFORE you write the group Member.
Hopefully you understand. after making the groups, start the server, join it, and then the admin of the server needs to type /user group name of user name of group to add the user to that group... MAKE sure you type /reload after changing the group of the user, and tell the user to rejoin the server.
sure why not? though there's only 5 houses available at the moment for: Dryad Demolitionist Merchant Guide Player Home
https://www.mediafire.com/?scyly7ho327rcy1
Should be nice to start off since not much has been touched. (removed the NPC) will be updating the map once in a while for other npcs
Edit: p.s. mobs will stop spawning in the town after putting 2 npcs in the chateaus (house)
For those who don't know, you can replace Terraria's soundtrack with your own.
And it just so happens that someone made a DKC soundtrack for Terraria.
The soundtrack doesn't fit as nicely as the default, but damn does it sound good.
Because, as other people have already said, it's hard. Making a map that has every random item in chests and has a few details here and there is way easier than making a whole adventure map. Anonsupermap+ and watership down are easy to make compared to fully fledged adventure maps.
Yes. Anything but hacky wine/mono. I was cruising github and came across this server written in Java, though it appears to not work yet. Maybe you can help out. I would if I knew any Java and was any good at network programming.
You can use Steam digital gift cards, which have values of 5, 10, etc, but I believe it can only be given to friends (accounts who have been friends for 3 days or more).
EDIT: https://store.steampowered.com/digitalgiftcards/selectgiftcard
Just use a controller if you feel more comfortable with it.
xbox shoud work out of the box on win10, while to use the playstation controller you need a PS4 one and this software: http://ds4windows.com/
Very easy to setup, I did it for my nephew, it works like a charm.
you listed most of them !!!
anyway, found this link: http://gameslikefinder.com/games-like-terraria/
I saw reviews of Craft the World, looks like Terraria and Starbound, but in a different style, you need to bring back resources to the base. Wanted to get it during the last sale but I already have Terraria and Starbound, and love only terraria
You should check out Knytt and Knytt Stories, which are two free indie platforming/exploration games.
If I remember well, the main goal of each game is to find and acquire pieces of your spaceship scattered throughout the world. You eventually get to find better equipment which lets you reach normally unreachable areas.
Ok so terraria mobile is behind by about one major update. This update is currently in alpha phase in terms of getting it to mobile so it will come out eventually. You can find more info on here https://terraria.org/news. It updates the community on all terrarua news. The 1.3 update for mobile is like 4 or 5 down
They said in the FAQ here that this is the last update they have planned, and that Re-Logic will be tackling another game after getting Console and Mobile updated.
Tagging /u/StanleyThePsycho so they see it as well.
Something I read on terraria.org had an faq section that said this is the final update. Everything after this is just bug fixes and such. I'll try to find the link.
EDIT: https://terraria.org/news/re-logic-announces-terraria-journey-s-end-at-e3
"Q: Why call it Journey's End instead of 1.4? A: Our current plan is for this to be the crowning update to Terraria. We do not currently have any plans to tackle additional updates, outside of fixes and maybe a few tidbits here and there to shore things up."
I have 30fps nearly everywhere, and 60 fps in the sky at day. This netbook.
All I do is set the terraria.exe process to high/realtime whenever I start it. You can automate that with a tool called Prio. Free and lightweight.
EDIT: The only person I've heard having trouble with it had a 700mhz processor, and I'm fairly certain he wasn't even on XP/win7/vista
He got around 5 fps.
The only 100% solution to your problem is changing your PC time.
Here are some programs that make other programs believe it's the wrong date:
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/run_as_date.html
http://ourpcsolution.blogspot.com.es/2013/12/time-stopper-download-use.html
It’s not hard at all, it just takes some time and patience.
Pick your base colors first, do your flats and then shade accordingly. If you have difficulty with finding matching colors, you can also use a site like Paletton to help you get started.
Hey, this is off topic from the post but switch from Gyazo to something else, preferably puush or Lightshot because Gyazo is malware. The site occasionally injects spyware into the .PNG files and then when Windows reads them to display them on the browser the spyware copies itself elsewhere on the PC. And I doubt you want to give everyone on the sub or your skype contacts or whatever spyware or malware to deal with.
I was making a brick display for myself, anyway. Here, have a look.
Left to right: Glass, snow, pearlstone, silver, grey, pink (dungeon), red (clay), hellstone, copper, gold, green (dungeon), mithril (missing at the moment), cobolt, blue (dungeon), demonite, obsidian, iridescent (ash), mudstone.
Sounds like you need an arena. I posted a pic of mine a while back - it's the big glass structure sitting at ground level, there. There's really two main bits:
Trap wells. One on each side, at least 7 squares deep. (You shouldn't be able to jump out without jump-assist gear.) Goblins climb up, fall in, and can't jump back out, so they're all nice and concentrated in one spot for easy and safe disposal. Since you have a vilethorn, you don't need to worry about access, but I didn't have one, so I built a section where I could stand above the pit and shoot down into it. If you aim before you go up there, it's pretty simple to jump up, dash off a few shots, and dodge back before the archers can get their acts together. Alternately, you can drop some lava in there and let them take care of themselves.
Sorcerer arena. The large open space in the middle. It should be about as big as a screen and have a place to stand in the center, so that you can stand there and be guaranteed of having a clear shot at them when they teleport in with minimal chance of them teleporting someplace you don't want them, like the roof. If you want torches in the middle, put them on wood beams, so you don't have to worry about blocks in the way of your shots. Extra platforms are optional but may help make sure that the sorcerers teleport in; I haven't tested it without them. Weapon-wise, you want something with unlimited range for this bit, ideally - vilethorn will work if the sorcerers are close enough or you can go to them, but if you're swarmed, it's better to be able to stand in place and just shoot. (Ranged weapons will dispel their shots, so staying put and shooting at them is actually pretty safe if your aim is decent.)
The basic strategy is to focus on the sorcerers as they appear, and then go mop up the others when you hit a lull.
Here's a good start. Understandably not all on this list would be up-to-date as the article is a bit old, but some are. Terraria does definitely support mods.
I like the 8bitDo sn30 pro, its small, has the full control scheme (L&R1/2/3), supports all the popular modes (dinput, xinput, switch pro), and is cheap ($40-45)
The ONLY negative, the L2 and R2 are digital, not analog, but for me that only effects racing games and flying games, throttle control essentially.

Fun fact there is an animated movie called Moon Man. It was made by that Irish film studio a few years before they made Secret of Kells. It's extremely weird, beautiful and trippy as fuck. I've only seen it once while I was coming up on acid. It was the perfect comeup film. It's on Amazon Prime video too.

Well, I imagine a lot of us who have lost a ton of effort as a result of making this error found your comment kind of rude or arrogant, so perhaps we're even.
A good book related to the topic is 'The Design of Everyday Things', which is both entertaining and informative, though slightly dated now.
Make sure he bought this app (If he bought it on Google Play) or this app (If he bought it on Amazon)
i decide to help you out, so far I found 1 very good map, but one of corruption is top of snow biome, so i used Tedit to remove that Corruption chasms and filled up with randomly ice/snow with ores.
then i decide create 2 custom building to map.
*this building have 8 crystal heart inside, it well hidden underground in snow biome. you have to find it, consider this as Easter egg.
*other is, small pyramid with standard loots inside as you would found at world generation pyramid (pyramid's unique item are picked based on coins toss chance :p) this will easy to find as it is on surface, I create it for good reason, you will see why when you found it.
here link for that map save (Google Drive)
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3apANx_W0QeRkNDeDFaaTVnbTg/edit?usp=sharing
for example I might use it(and tedit to paste the tent) to stick npcs in tents http://www.filedropper.com/432qhh_3 or otherwise make them appear to live somewhere the game won't let them (places like those background houses people like to draw, or maybe an npc engine. the tent was just a quick shortcut to put something there)
Someone posted a countdown the other day. I can't remember their username though, which is annoying. But anyway, here it is. I set it as my home page, lol.
EDIT: Immediately after posting this I found the thread. So, credit goes to /u/abrum, who apparently likes helping lazy Aussies :D
Or, you know. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AkvYeRRKpi05dFRNNE80YUhJeWF3SjA2cjd1Y2dkMGc&hl=en_US (NPCs, Items and Prefixes) https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AqGJGhuHJlhrdDNfcWVwUkhjcUFrLTI1eS01cG1fR0E&hl=en_US (Packets, Tiles, Walls, Projectiles)
If you're behind a router, you need to set up port forwarding in the router's configuration. Some people use VPN (virtual private network) software instead, such as Hamachi, for security and ease. The ones who choose VPN for ease aren't typically familiar with configuring a router.
If you want to go with port forwarding, you can typically access the configuration by typing "192.168.1.1" in either Internet Explorer or Firefox (Chrome acted up when I tried it) and when prompted for a username and password leave the username blank and enter "admin" all lower-case for a password.
If that doesn't work check the specs for your specific router. For more info on port forwarding, google it.
If you're not behind a router, disregard.
127.0.0.1 is the port used to connect to your computer, for me it would connect to my own server and for bob it would connect to his own server.
"localhost" is just an alias of 127.0.0.1, if you use windows, this is set in the C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts file. If you open this file you will read "127.0.0.1 localhost" in the file, this makes t so when you type in localhost, it will just redirect to 127.0.0.1
So 127.0.0.1 is localhost.
If you want someone to be able to join your server, just google "What is my IP" and it will give you the IP address to give to other people. As long as you forwarded your ports and allow access through your firewalls, other people should be able to join.
I think a good compromise would be to allow you to take multiple health potions, but using more than one within a certain time (a minute is fine) is less effective. The effectiveness would increase exponentially over the course of the "cool down" period.
A function like this, for example, would only result in a potion restoring ~15% of its usual HP if it was used after 30 seconds; after 40 seconds it would be ~35%; after 50 seconds, a little over 60%; after the full 60 seconds it's back to 100% strength. e could be raised/lowered to make the game harder/easier.

Use TBEditor
Have people resigter, then change their group in User Manager to "superadmin".
Sorted :)
Edit the SQLite in the TShock folder. PM for any help.
Well, technically, 'hoik' may not mean anything outside of this context, since the proper dictionaries seem to go with 'hoick': http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/english/hoick Synonyms in Merriam-webster: buck, hitch, jerk, jolt, twitch, yank.
My dyslexic due diligence ended at the 3rd Google result, whereupon I was Wiktionaried: http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/hoik#English I had kind of committed to the abbreviated version by the time I figured this out; four giant letters probably fit better in 720p anyway, and I'm going to say this spelling's more logical...
I'm curious whether it's ever used in America, or just UK English? Perhaps I'll get away with it, if it's not.
Well the server mods are still going strong as far as I can tell. TShock for example has been updated the same day an update has been released since the first update of Terraria. I urge anyone interested in running a server with some custom commands to check TShock out.
Soulsborne vet here, the difficulty type is way different (which is why I suck at expert mode). Dark Souls would be the opposite of what it would seem OP wants, as Dark Souls has a very methodical difficulty, making it that with proper knowledge, it is incredibly easy, whereas OP seems to want something more chaotic, were no knowledge will save you.
To that end, /u/SheenGreenButterFuck , I would say go to S͟LAV̀ES ͡T̛Ơ A̡R͠MOK̵:͞ ͘G͜OD ͘O͜F ̵BL̶OOD CHAPTER͟ I͏I: DWA͜RF̴ F̴ÓR̶T̨RESS!
I've used this for the past few years works on terraria and many others: https://github.com/Codeusa/Borderless-Gaming
I don't try to span two or more monitors with it... may be an option in it.
If i recall for terraria specifically you have to chose the favorite by process option instead of window title it normally uses.
Hi, I know of this problem and how to fix it. It is actually caused by the fact that you have a new MBP (more specifically, an Ivy Bridge/Haswell CPU). This was a bug in old versions of WS9Wine not able to give proper instructions to the CPU. Here are the steps you can do to fix it.
I just use a freeware program (RunAsDate) that launches other programs and supplies the date you want for them, so you don't have to mess with your computer's clock.
Grab GPU-Z, and check that your video card has a 16x PCI-e connection, and not a 1x connection. That's a common cause of this sort of pain for some-but-not-all games – because it happens if the game tries to move lots of data to and from the video card, and not all games do that.
Turn off ShadowPlay, the Microsoft game recorder thing, etc, and see if that improves things.
Check that you are not trying to load resources off a disk that is busy at the time. Terraria doesn't really try and work around that, so it may cause stuttering.
If you have mods, remove them all, and see if you can still reproduce it.
It isn't, but its the luck of the draw with what gets upvoted around here. He cites 10 years as an IT manager, calls out other people for being wrong, and is wrong himself.
I did support for NAS units - they are just small computers essentially. I frequently had customers directly connect to the NAS as a troubleshooting step. Do you think I asked customers if they had a crossover cable? I'm laughing at the thought of it!
For example:
http://www.synology.com/en-global/support/faq/586
>you can try connecting your DiskStation to your computer directly to check if the slow performance is caused by your router or switch.
Just like this troubleshooting doesn't mention crossover cables, neither did I. Most of the time it worked as long as they didn't have an ancient computer.
I use a program called Hugin to stitch together panoramic photos of landscapes. It can probably stitch together screenshots easily.
Edit: Like this one
Perhaps it would help to start with a large structure with a set shape, and just focus on customizing the inside to start with, until you're comfortable with it? My first significant build was basically an underground skyscraper with a very boring layout, and being able to just focus on doing interesting and functional things with each of the rooms taught me a lot. (I think I still have an archived save of that map, even, if you want to practice on it.)
"I can always tear this down later if I want something different" is a good mantra, too.
Made with imported materials in an easymode world, because I'm not suicidal. Pics of the engineering side of the waterworks are available on request, but they're not much different in principle from my last build.
You could always try paintdotnet. Photoshop probably has a boatload of other features that could be useful, though. Make sure that the editor you're using supports transparency.
If you have the money, try Sony Vegas Suite.
I don't really use free software, but with a cursory google search, FlashIntegro's video editor and Lightworks look rather promising. Give both a go. Lightworks may not be what you want, though. Upon a closer look, many of the important features are not available in the free version.
As far as fonts go, you'd be safe with most basic fonts. Try Times New Roman, and just use fade in/out. Making it move across the screen may make it more dramatic, but also less professional.
Your intro video looks like a trailer. For something like that, you can even fade the entire screen to a black page with words. Take short dramatic snippets in between the words.
If you really want to tell a story, the best thing you can do is purchase a mic and just use really convincing roleplay, combined with some text at the beginning to catch viewers up in each part. When you said, "It's been one week since Sigurd and his friends turned up in this strange land," that's exactly what you want to go for.
If you're self-conscious about your voice, I'm sure you could find a program somewhere on the net to edit it.
If you want to get an eye for graphic design, spend a few hours on /r/crappydesign. You'll become a graphics snob in no time!
K, I went ahead and programmed it up. Here is the download. Wanna test it out and tell me how it goes? I tested it by replacing Menu_Open.xnb and it works in game. I'm not sure how thorough or resilient the code is, so if you run into any problems, let me know. Also, make sure the WAV files are PCM. For good measure, I always make them 2 channel, 44100 hz, 16 bits PCM wav files. If you have any trouble with converting audio, I use this: http://sox.sourceforge.net/
Try a Virtual Machine that supports Mac like Virtual Box https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads Use that to make a VM, and install a Windows OS (you get that yourself pirate boy).
Terraria is working on an update that will allow Terraria to run natively on Macs (also on linux comps)soon.
Stop pressing the "any" key, that might solve your problems.
Downvoted, reported, called the cops, hit the gym.
Edit: Oh, and it's a virus.
I am using wine-1.4-rc2. I upgrade with each new version.
I create a new wine prefix for each game, the exception being Steam. Having said that, I did create a new wine prefix for Terraria with a fresh install of Steam. I followed a guide (I think it was on WineHQ, but I will check later) and it worked. One thing I tend to do differently is I have my own custom bash script for each prefix (here).
I also use winetricks to quickly try different settings.
PM me or post here if you need help. I will try to respond the same day, but I work so sorry if I am slow.
Well, you can't really look up the actual source code, but since Terraria was written in .NET, you can get a pretty good approximation of what it probably looks like via decompiling/reflection.
I used JetBrains dotPeek; it's somewhat buggy and resource intensive, but it works and it's free.
You can't just overwrite the names unless the new name is the exact same length as the old name because the strings are stored Pascal-style with a length prefix. Rather than using Notepad++, I would use a dedicated hex editor such as HxD as such programs will let you easily change the prefix and make sure nothing else changes too.
Here's an example. If I open up my world in HxD and scroll to the end of the file, I see all the NPC names; the first name on the list is "Alfred" who is my merchant. The byte before "Alfred" is x06 which signifies that the name is 6 characters long. If I want to change his name to "Stephen" I need to not only change the name, but also change the prefix to x07. This composite image may be helpful for doing this sort of thing.
Here's an IFTT recipe so that it emails you instead :) I usually end up cluttering tabs up too much by doing it that way :p
Hello good sir,
Sorry for the inconvenience, but I would like to suggest a “chill pill”.

I still favor mouse and keyboard, but the amount of content (especially for a mobile game) is fairly impressive.

This would kill a switch. In exchange for giving up portability you get performance and flexibility.
Thank you for being part of one of the most responsive gaming companies out there!
Apart from not having the verified check, the weird period after the game title and "SRL" after 505 Games was what made me worry that the game wasn't legit. Turns out that SRL is Italian for "LLC" essentially. But now that I have confirmation, I will be throwing a fiver at it. Terraria doesn't have expansion packs for the game - you guys keep giving it updates for free - so I try to buy it on every platform that it comes out on to show my support.
CatLog requires root, but if you have crashes and such, you just open it up, hit record, launch the game, play until your problems appear, stop the log recording, save it, and upload to a support ticket.
seriously, this is the best way to get your problems resolved.
just going to the forum and saying 'my game crashed while i was spamming bombs in the cavern layer' isn't sufficient.
I fixed Spazmatism's dashing attack so it looks like the real. The project is https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/535461283/editor, I would love to get feedback and remix
Eater of worlds can be done VERY quick. Probably a good one to practice on since you don't need to invest much time into each run.
Eye of Cthulhu, and Skeletron are both limited by the day/night cycle. Since everyone starts the fights at roughly the same time the only way to improve on the existing records is to perform better on the actual fight.
King Slime is mostly just RNG. Go for it if you like, but prepare for frustration.
Rather than relying on the in-game timer you should probably record your runs if at all possible. It would suck to get a great time and then not have any way to verify it. OBS is free and doesn't eat up hard drive space as badly as something like fraps.
Check out speedrun.com for current records and videos showing their techniques/routes.
Most of all: have fun.
I found this on Amazon for 415 CAD (roughly 320 USD).

I don't know about the reliability of HP but this should be able to run most 1080p 3d games at 55 - 80 fps meaning Terraria will run fine.
It's pretty difficult to get a good PC for anything under 500 - 750 USD so if you can I would probably raise your budget.
If you have the smarts, you might be able to get something better if you build it yourself but that's risky due to high GPU prices.
for example as a casual builder(you can see i used tedit to cheat with decorations) http://www.filedropper.com/world_10 the guide currently lives in a tent squatting in my house which itself is just a hole i dug when the game glitched and spawned me underground
