It’s probably an implementation of nVidia’s Shadowplay technology which can be used to record or stream with little to no gpu/cpu overhead.
It lets you stream your PC to other devices, so you can game anywhere. You need to have an NVIDIA GTX/RTX to do so.
I played one and a half games trying various weapons without a single kill before deciding their was no possible way anyone on mobile can get a kill.
On what, the resolution or the Shadowplay?
Resolution/framerate was confirmed by a local Redditor who checked a saved clip on his PC I think.
Shadowplay is https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/shadowplay/ , and the Tegra chipset has supported Shadowplay since the K1, which was in the Shield Tablet (and could stream 720p60 video).
OBS has the option to record as well as stream. If you have an NVIDIA graphics card, you can use the built in software feature called Shadowplay to record as well.
It isn't supported, https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/games/
You can request this via the feedback option in GFE
Something seems not quite right... that doesn't make a lot of sense. You might not get 120 FPS, depending on the game, but you should get much better performance out of a 1660ti than UHD 630. How did you enable your 1660ti? Do you have Nvidia's GeForce experience software installed? If not, go here:
Update Drivers & Optimal Playable Settings | NVIDIA GeForce Experience
And download and install this, and follow the prompts if it wants to update your drivers, etc.
I have an Nvidia graphics card which has a feature called ShadowPlay which keeps a rolling recording of the last few minutes. If something happens that you want to keep you can push a key combo to save it. I think AMD cards can do this as well but I'm not very familiar with them.
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/games/#ansel
If that list is accurate - then there is far more than than a few.
You got a GTX, so download the Nvidia Experience app
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/
It will download the best drivers for your GPU and you can get it to scan for your games on the system, click on Fallout 76 and if you already run the game at least once, it will have enough information to optimise the graphics for your system.
Its an easier way than getting any of us to trial and error for you.
I use this for both my gaming pc and my Acer Predator laptop and the game runs fine on both.
It's look like the Nvidia Geforce experience Overlay, Shadow-Play- Instant replay.
Maybe if you have that software, try to remove that overlay or play with the option
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/shadowplay/
Just a tip if you don't want to download extra programs (not saying anything, but I've personally never heard of D3DGear, I'm sure most haven't), use these links.
If your GPU is an AMD, use ReLive
If your GPU is an NVIDIA, use Shadowplay
I linked them for reference as if you've got your drivers updated, both of those will be already installed most likely. I also didn't see anything on D3DGear about adjusting the bitrate, and their "HD" sample video of Overwatch is okay. Both ReLive and Shadowplay allow you to manually adjust the bitrate to well over 50mbps, which is overkill but if you want 1080p at 60FPS, I recommend 15-20mbps.
I just got an Dell XPS 15 9500 with Intel core i7 and 32GB with a 3080 by 2400 touch screen that the Sims 4 plays with no problems so far. The only different between yours and mine is my screen is a bit better and I have a bit more ram, I can't see you having problems play any of the EA games or any other game just long it fit the requirements.
If you don't have the Geforce Experience here the the download for it : https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/download/
In it, is a game setup library this automatically set the options for any games that is in the library.
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/games/#ansel
Here's a list of supported games, Ansel is really handy for singleplayer games!
However, I noticed that my fps dropped to 30 because Ansel stayed activated in the background. Might wanna restart your game.
Yes download your gpu drivers from that website. It’s where I got mine and instantly improved fps. Also, you can benefit from downloading GeForce experience and updating drivers within this software. Many different things you can do with this software so I would check it out. Also it will give you options to download new drivers for you gpu as soon as they are available.
Link for GeForce experience:
lol, will definitely make a big difference.
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/
go here, download the software. You can keep your drivers up to date via this program.
https://www.geforce.com/drivers
or go there and just download the drivers for your 1080ti if you'd rather. You don't need to download specific ones from ASUS. Just the nvidia drivers are fine.
GTX970 is definitely supported, so you're basically halfway there. Shadowplay is your safest bet, it's not as customisable as OBS, but it is pretty user-friendly and straightforward. Shadowplay allows you to stream on Twitch/Youtube/Facebook and record videos with little to no impact on performance. But the best part is instant replay: Shadowplay constantly saves last 5 minutes of your gameplay (by default, you can up it to 20 minutes) and so when something cool happens you just press the hotkey and everything that happened in the last 5 minutes on the screen gets saved to a designated folder.
To get it working, you just install Geforce Experience, it's included in the software (might take a quick lookaround in the Experience settings). Then, you just press Alt+Z to open Shadowplay overlay and from this point onwards it's pretty self-explanatory, but if there are some misunderstandings, I'm sure you can find it all online. I didn't, so no specific links, sorry :)
I should note that you can do all that (and more) with OBS, but Shadowplay is still pretty useful even in its simplicity, especially when you don't want to google guides on how to properly set up OBS (I don't want to). Shadowplay does its work well enough. Good luck!
As you're on PC, enable shadowplay (option in GeForce). It doesn't require you to "actively" record each session, but makes it possible to retroactive save the footage of the last 1-20 min. I'm not exactly sure how it works, i just imagine it keeps that footage ialways keeps the footage of the last 1-20 min n its cache and saves it when you want, trashes it if it's not needed
Anyone with an Nvidia card has Instant Replay available. You can customize how long a clip is saved, framerate, and resolution too.
For recording alone, I can recommend either Nvidia's Geforce Experience (if you have a compatible graphics card) or OBS (Open Broadcaster Software)
Both are capable of utilizing the GPU hardware to encode the video, which improves performance a lot at the expense of needing a higher bit rate to look good.
Both also allow you to live stream the content you are recording.
Geforce Experience is easier to use and setup.
OBS is much more versatile and feature rich.
If you own an GeForce family of GPUs
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/
Nvidia experience, it comes with an driver updater but also stuff like shadowplay for recording.
If you have an AMD card then it would be
Download this
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/download/
It keeps your GPU drivers up to date, I will say I haven't tried it for W11 though
Alt+F3 doesn't seem to do anything, even with an NVIDIA card. I know Ansel is invoked with Alt+F2, but New World isn't on the list of supported games.
Is it some other app unique to your particular card manufacture perhaps? Thanks.
EDIT: Oh nevermind. I see, it's NVIDIA "Freestyle" -- the in-game filter thing. I never even knew that existed.
Not sure, have you tried googling it?
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/games/
It looks like it *was* available but I saw some threads complaining that it wasn't working.
You can do this with NVidia cards, if you're using GeForce Experience. You have to set it up in configs, but it's an option.
Not only is it allowed, it's "officially supported" by Nvidia. Freestyle is just ReShade packaged into GeForce Experience. And Nvidia works very closely with developers to optimize features for Nvidia cards.
That is one way to find your driver's but that can often be unreliable, so we are going to do it the more reliable way.
Let's go to this website first, https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/ and download that program.
That program is geforce experience, this is the best way to manage your gpu drivers. Once you download that go through the setup. Once it's up and running we should go to the driver's tab.
Then in almost the top right, there should be a check for updates button, we are going to push that. Once it's done checking we might see a couple of buttons, one that says "express installation" and one that says "custom installation" we will push express installation.
If that button doesn't come up no need to worry, that just means your driver's are up to date. Once the driver's update test it again and see if it keeps doing it and let me know what happens.
Crap... you may be right... regardless, I'll do what I said and give the code away. =(
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/redeem-instructions/faq/

Here is the chat, so far:
Inamdar: Hi, my name is Inamdar. How may I help you?
Inamdar: Hello Jay,
Drummerboy860: Hello
Drummerboy860: A recent giveaway by Nvidia for a new railgun skin in the game Quake Champions was just announced
Drummerboy860: I downloaded and installed GeForce Experience, but am unable to locate the new railgun skin
Drummerboy860: Hello?
Inamdar: Sorry for the delay in response, please give me a moment let me check.
Drummerboy860: No problem. Thank you.
Inamdar: Thank you for your patience. Please let me know did you recived any email for that?
Drummerboy860: No
Inamdar: So how did you know you have received the promotion for your account?
Drummerboy860: I saw the recent facebook post on the Quake facebook page. It states that GeForce Experience users will receive the new skin. I downloaded and installed GeForce Experience but am unsure of how to claim the skin
Inamdar: Thank you for your patience. We don't have any such promotion as of now. If the promotion was announced by NVIDIA then it will be there in our website.
Drummerboy860: It is on the website
Drummerboy860: Here's the link: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/giveaways/
Drummerboy860: Nvidia calls it the "Pulsar Railgun skin" on the United States region website
Inamdar: Ok. However the giveaways is provided to the random users not for all, if you're eligible then you will receive an email.
Drummerboy860: Oh. It's not available to all GeForce Experience users?
Inamdar: Yes.
Actually the Geforce Experience software will do that but only for games currently installed that appear on their official supported games list: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/games/
However, there are a ton of other games that work just fine, you just need to manually add them which is where I appear to be running into a limit.
I don't know if the limit I am experiencing is just for manually added games for or for a combination of officially supported games and manually added ones. I currently have 48 official games and 78 manually added. 126 is a strange number to have as a hard limit.

You need to install Geforce Experience with the RTX 2060 installed in your PC. Then follow the rest of the instructions here: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/redeem-instructions/
It is the best way to help.
Okay so their are 2 bits of software you can choose from, both are free.
If you have an Nvidia card (thats good enough) I'd recommend
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/shadowplay/
^^ that!
If not, or running AMD
Free as well.
OBS, Nvidia ShadowPlay, there's plenty out there. I use these two mainly though. But with ShadowPlay you need an Nvidia GTX 650 or higher graphics card.
Hey! Are you playing on PC? If so, there are free programs you can use to record footage instead of recording from your phone/camera.
Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) is free, and it's surprisingly decent. The overall quality of the video is a bit finicky from my usage, but it'll still do for highlights like this.
Nvidia's Shadowplay is very good, but only for users with an Nvidia graphics card (the GTX series, not RX).
If you are on PS4, you can use the Share Button to record footage. YouTube has a guide on how to record footage and upload it to the site.
Recording footage directly from the PC/console will allow us to not only hear audio from the game, but it'll make the picture have better quality and less shaky.
Thanks, and have a good day.

Here is the link to DDU: https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html
Download and save it somewhere you can easily access it. Use this by booting into safe mode. This can be done by opening the start menu, holding the Shift key and pressing 'Restart' under the power options. The PC should boot into recovery mode. From the 'Choose an option' screen, press 'Troubleshoot'. Then click Advanced Options, then Startup Settings, and press Restart in the bottom right. The PC should restart again, and you should be able to select Safe Mode once the screen has come up. You will boot into safe mode. Once booted, open DDU and select your display driver (NVidia) at the top of the window. Press 'Clean and Restart' and let the program do it's thing.
Your GPU driver should be uninstalled now. Download GeForce Experiece and install it. I think it makes you create an account, so do that and then click the Drivers tab at the top of the window. The latest driver should show up at the top. Click download, and then Express Installation when it's finished downloading. You may or may not need to restart your PC when it's done installing.
Hope this helps.
Windows 10 installs drivers automatically for most stuff. You won't need a driver for your motherboard or CPU.
What you WILL need is to download Nvidia's GE Force Experience, which takes care of the drivers for your GPU for you. The download can be found here. Download it and go through the installation process.
It's also best to have the driver for your display. Sometimes Windows will find it, sometimes not. Google the name of your specific monitor and "driver" and you should be able to find it and install it.
It's possible you'll need drivers for other stuff (like a wifi adapter). All you should need is to google the specific product name and "driver" to find what you need.
But hopefully Windows 10 should do it's job and find them for you.
To find specific drivers through Windows, you can also go to the search bar at the bottom left, type "Device Manager" and open the device manager program. Click on a specific type of device (i.e. monitors) and you'll be shown the various devices you have connected. You will be able to right click on each device then click "check for drivers" to make sure they're installed. I only have ever done this if there's a problem with a specific device, usually they're found automatically.
On 21st November, NVIDIA will be giving away 5000 codes for PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS to GeForce Experience users. https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/giveaways/
Don't think it's worth a new post, chance to win is pretty low.
MSI Afterburner is the most popular.
Always get your drivers from Nvidia:
http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx
Update them often, especially when new games come out.
> (crappy phone video of my monitor... although I guess it makes it feel more like an onboard).
While the effect surprisingly worked, there's several free ways to record computer footage.
If you have Windows 10, you can use the Windows game bar to record. More information here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-ca/help/4026387/windows-keyboard-shortcuts-for-game-bar
If you're using a Nvidia GPU and you have Nvidia GeForce experience you can record with ShadowPlay. You can find more information here: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/shadowplay/
If you're using an AMD GPU, you can use ReLive. You can find more information here: http://www.amd.com/en-us/innovations/software-technologies/radeon-software/gaming/radeon-relive
If none of these suggestions are suitable for you... Well... Shit I'm all out of ideas.
There's lots of software out there that lets you do this. I have ShadowPlay but you can also record your games manually with OBS
I have the same graphics card and I believe this happened to me a while back
I'm 90% sure to fix it you need to update your graphics card drivers with GeForce Experience
If that doesn't work try tweaking with the in-game settings
Hope this helps
A factory reset could also uninstall some graphics drivers which could negatively affect your earnings. To update your drivers, if you have an AMD GPU, you can find them and Radeon Software (AMD's driver software) here, and for Nvidia GPUs you can find them here or you can find the install GeForce Experience (Nvidia's driver software) here.
You CAN download the drivers directly but its much easier to install GeForce Experience and let it handle it. Itll give you the best drivers and alert you to updates. You just install this program and do the driver install from it. Also you do NOT need to install the drivers before you install the card. But when geforce experience asks you to do its game optimization shit say no.
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/
What monitor do you have? You may not be able to do the full monitor resolution/refresh rate with HDMI but it depends on the monitor.
don't forget to use
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/ and update your graphics drivers.
In war thunder settings turn off Nivida Highlights....

I never heard of this but sounds really interesting. I looked up the supported games and CotW is listed. What is NVIDIA Ansel exactly?
Great video! Bummer the FPS and quality of the ingame footage is lacking. I recently discovered, you get the best FPS + quality using Nvidia's Shadowplay. Normal screenrecorders snoop your FPS away.
I made a video in 2019 to show divtech 25+ locations in the DZ: https://youtu.be/DOGlP5tjXNM
Noticing there were 14 players playing that session. Nowadays it's more like 7 if you're lucky in PvE. And maybe 3 if you're lucky in PvP, as your vid shows.
What's your experience regarding this & what timezone u are in?
Yes, the 1050 ti should allow you to play Wow on medium setting, with no problems on your pc.
You are going to need drivers for your card, I, and many other Nvidia owners, use Geforce Experience to manage that. Download and install it, and it will find and install the proper drivers for you.
You are going to want to make sure that you plug your monitor into the GPU, and not the motherboard video out as this is a very common error.
It's probably an outdated driver. Theoretically, the drivers are updated automatically with Windows update, so check for updates first. However, from my experience the video card drivers need to be updated more often.
If you use NVIDIA, download the GeForce Experience from here: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/ (this is the NVIDIA official site, nevertheless please always check any downloaded file from any site with your antivirus). Install as an administrator and follow instructions.
GeForce will allow you to easily update video drivers, but also to optimize your games based on your laptop so that they run smoothly.
A discrete graphics card should work the first time you boot into your operating system. Your OS will detect the new GPU and run a generic default display driver for it. However, you want to replace this driver, since it is not optimized for your specific graphics card. You can install this through a program called GeForce Experience.
To test if the GPU is legitimate and running correctly, you can use a program like 3DMark that will validate your hardware configuration and compare your system's performance against other systems with similar hardware configurations. You can also use GPU-Z to validate if you card is legitimate and is running properly.
Do you have Geforce experience in stalled ?
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/
There a auto setting library in it. It came with my Dell 15 9500, took all guesswork out of set up games. Looked up it, seem it will work with the RTX 3060.
To attempt to answer all your questions:
I hope this helps, man. Let me know if you have any other questions.
When you install your card it should auto detect and install a basic driver. Visit https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/ and download it. Sign up and login and it will automatically detect if you need a driver update.
Front panel mic/headphone inputs are just headers that wire into the motherboard. They would work the same as the rear inputs. No additional drivers necessary other than the ones that come with your motherboard. Motherboards usually come with a software suite to help you on this.
Welcome to PC gaming. Double and triple check instructions so you don’t brick your rig.
If you have a GeForce card, many games support Ansel feature. While not all do, many have a 360 pano screenshot ability.
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/games/
I used The Witcher 3 and Ghost Recon Wildlands for most of my custom background needs.
Something is fucked up on your system. Do a clean driver reinstall with DDU: https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html
Download DDU.
Download a driver from here: https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5074/~/geforce-hotfix-driver-version-452.22
This isn't the latest driver but the one before it, I don't recommend 456.38 because it has a bunch of issues.
Disable internet on your PC, uninstall your current driver with DDU, reboot, install the driver you downloaded (without geforce experience), turn internet back on. This is to prevent Windows from installing its own driver. Install Geforce Experience afterwards if you want: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/
GTX1060 6gb should be able to run W3 in 1080p60fps on high-ultra settings (without hairworks) if you're not bottlenecked by other hardware components.
I think you might as well use Ansel if that's what you're doing. It's built into Geforce Experience.
Apparently it works with RDR2 PC: https://www.reddit.com/r/reddeadredemption/comments/dtodtf/mary_beth_photo_modenvidia_ansels_effects/
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/redeem-instructions/faq/
>> Q: How do I know if my retailer is participating in the NVIDIA GeForce game bundle promotion?
> Not all retailers participate in the GeForce game bundle promotion. Check with your retailer if they are participating in the promotion.
I'm not sure if that would be Amazon, EVGA, or someone else
It might, try turning off motionblur (if enabled) or reducing bloom/fog, and make sure that the resolutions in the shaders menu (not the shader options) are all around 1.0 (though you can reduce them to less than 1.0 to see if it helps, it's basically setting the render resolution of the shader functions).
You can try updating your drivers; I know that Nvidia has the "GeForce Experience" app (https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/) which allows you to update drivers and curate settings for your graphics cards all in one convenient place. Try that, and see if you just need an update. I really don't know how systems with multiple graphics cards split up the effort of rendering stuff, but since I run a card three years older than yours on a laptop and get better frames, I'd figure something's hinky with your machine. Drivers are a go-to solution a lot of times.
Are you on a laptop or desktop? I'd figure a desktop, but wanted to make sure. Power saving options may also be to blame, though I don't know how much they factor in with desktops.
Thanks! I use GeForce Experience to record things like this. It works in all games and is really easy to use, I’d definitely recommend it.
In Minecraft I just went into spectator mode, turned my sensitivity down so I could turn smoothly, then saved the clip.
Here’s a link to GeForce Experience: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/
So, everyone, has the same shot here are the redeem instructions for when I post the codes at 10:45 CST

https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/redeem-instructions/
I wouldn’t mind getting a hold of this myself. I run two Dragon Age campaigns and it would come in handy.
On the chance you have an Xbox one you could try loading up the game and taking screen shots of the map but I suspect you’re looking for something more detailed.
Check out posts from u/empathogen. They have done a large amount of maps from The Witcher 3 and Skyrim using Ansel. Don’t know much about the software but it could be the tool you need to get what you want. I’ve used quite a few of the Witcher maps in my own games, they are pretty great.
Good luck and please share if you manage to get ahold of anything.
I would definitely update your video drivers first. GeForce Experience is one of my favorite programs, it'll let you know whenever it's time to update your drivers. Go ahead and do that and report back if it's still wonky
~~What about shadowplay?~~
Never mind, it's not supported by the GPU it seems...
Can you use NVENC on OBS or is that tied to the same thing as shadowplay? I would ask the OBS forums about this or read this: https://obsproject.com/wiki/General-Performance-and-Encoding-Issues
Do you have GeForce Experience installed? If not go to, https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/ That app will allow you to update your graphics drivers and it will automatically find the most optimal graphics settings for your games.
Try lowering the settings on Fortnite, or trying to play it in windowed/borderless windowed. Does that fix or improve anything?
Also, if you follow /u/lverno321's advice, you can find your drivers to reinstall here, or do it through GeForce Experience, which can be found here if your laptop didn't come with it. I recommend using the GeForce Experience method, as it also automatically applies settings that it recommends for your build.
Thanks for the description mate! Really neat system.
If you're looking for recording software, I highly recommend Nvidia ShadowPlay or Radeon ReLive depending on your graphics card. Both are free and all you need is to make sure you have the latest drivers installed.
Nvidia cards come with software that you can enable and it will always "record" a set amount of time when you play. if something cool happens in game, you open the nvidia console and you can save the last, say, 5 minutes of gameplay.'
it's called nvidia shadowplay and is really cool. you just enable it and forget it until you come across that amazing event during gaming.
I'm guessing PC? If using an NVIDIA card, you should be able to setup Shadowplay. If AMD, there's ReLive. If on console however, each console has media share options that allow you to screenshot and upload to a cloud service or local device.
Can you try uninstalling GeForce Experience from Programs and Features and then reinstall the app from:
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/
When you download the file, right-click over it and choose "Run as administrator" to make sure all dependent files are installed properly.
If you have a Nvidia graphics card, the software (which is included in the driver package) comes with an built in video capture system. https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/shadowplay/
If you've got an AMD graphics card, use ReLive
If you've got NVIDIA graphics card, use ShadowPlay
If your GPU is older and neither of those programs supports your card, use OBS
Download NVIDIA shadowplay https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/shadowplay/
You are always recording but it doesn't affect fps. Just press your bind and you get a video of the past 5 minutes on your screen
The problem with Ansel is it has to be implemented by the devs, which means more work for them for a feature that only 1% of it's users are going to care about. There's a reason the list of games supported by Ansel is pathetic.
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/nvidia-ansel-games/
Nvidia need to make ansel work with every game, otherwise there are a billion other features more important than Ansel.
came here to ask same thing. saw the email appear but the page it links to, didn't actually say anything one way or another. In fact, it was very vague ("just download the GeForce software").
No, no laptops will "turn off" NVIDIA GPU when they transition to battery power. There is a feature, that does provide a functionality that kinda does that (which your laptop looks like it would use) called NVIDIA Optimus. This does allow it to on an application-by-application basis decide to use the Intel GPU or the NVIDIA GPU, however, it does not change when on battery power and even changing the setting (in NVIDIA control panel) will not affect the game if it is currently running, you will need to start the game.
Although, they will turn the graphics card down. Part of this is to save battery, you can find this feature in the GeForce Experience software under the name "Battery Boost" which you can see where to configure here in the program. However, it is worth noting that your specific laptop, provided it is the version with the 1060 instead of the 1050ti, draws up to about 162W on load from the wall and the battery is 48Wh. That is, around 17 minutes of gaming time, which is exactly why so many battery saving technologies exist.
Finally, it's worth nothing that, at least as far as I am aware, there will also be a limit based on how much power your battery can actually throw out at once safely. And I don't mean like it will damage or degrade your hardware, I mean it will, but I mean that's because if the battery allowed itself to discharge too fast it'll catch on fire. It won't do that as the battery will be designed to limit itself, however, that may limit your performance.
There's plenty of free recording software that doesn't have a giant watermark on it :P
To list a few: OBS, Shadowplay (for Nvidia GPU), ReLive (for AMD gpu)
These are the games that work for Ansel right now. The devs usually have a camera mode that Ansel works through (depends on the game).
Yes.
You need the drivers, and the controller apps.
drivers are here Just make sure you select all the correct things.
The controller app will usually download the correct drivers FOR you, so I would start there.
To comment further on what YimYimYimi said, DSR is resolution up-scaling. So you can upscale your resolution from 1080p to 1440p. With nvidia you can use geforce experience to do this. I'm not sure about AMD. So you can test it before hand.
In my experience, 1440p was around 60-70 FPS.In open fields or cities it is usually around 30-50fps and in a close range fight (barracks on Military base) or a particularity FPS intensive part of the game, I would drop to less than 10 fps for split seconds. In my 'fun' opinion, it's playable but in my competitive opinion it was frustrating. When I downscaled to 1920x1080 i'm consistently above 70 fps and generally only drop to sub 70 in very specific circumstances.
So, with that said, i think it's safe to say you'll probably average around half of your current fps in the games current state. Definitely check it out with DSR first though. Our systems obviously aren't the same so you may have better results.
edit: Checking quickly, i'm not sure if you can use DSR on PUBG as it's not on the list of supported games but you can download Geforce Experience and see if you have the option.
You'd want them from NVidia, rather than EVGA since it's an NVidia card. You probably won't have to though since the GT 710 is an NVidia card, but looking on their website wouldn't hurt. Download Geforce Experience, and it will notify/download the latest drivers automatically.
You have a bunch of options.
Lightstream (golightstream.com) takes a lot of the cumbersome setup steps and automates them but won't currently record for archival purposes. You can stream and save the archive on your channel but not to your PC.
OBS (obsproject.com) is a pretty robust open source platform but has a learning curve for configuration.
XSplit (XSplit.com) is a subscription based system that is somewhat easier to configure than OBS but has a price tag to do what seems slightly more limited than the free OBS project.
Nvidia Shadowplay (https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/shadowplay/) is what I believe you are already using.
There is also the Windows Gamebar built into Windows 10.
If you have an Nvidia graphics card, you can install ShadowPlay which will record games for you. Another user-friendly alternative is PlaysTV. A good, free, open-source alternative is OBS
Most screen recording software is pretty user friendly now and the internet should have decent documentation about how to use it
Yeah definitely worth a shot. Make sure you clear out the whole directory. We're trying to kill two birds with one stone here. First, eliminate any general variables from the debug process. Helps to start with a clean slate. It also might just fix your problem itself. Second, you'll need to clear out a bunch of cache stuff. Description here. Making sure you clear out the whole WoW directory will handle this step as well.
Your machine sounds fine. What about your graphics drivers? Nvidia provides a couple options here. You can download the drivers manually or download Nvidia's Geforce Experience. I use this myself. It also provides graphics optimizations for games through a really simple interface. We may leverage this tool later in the debug process so I'd recommend the Geforce Experience option.
No problem my dude :) I'm having a lazy Saturday so I have plenty of free time. About to head to the dog park so I might be gone for a bit. I'll get back to you again as soon as I can.
Okay, thank you! Based off your system, let's start with drivers.
See if you have "Geforce Experience" installed on your system.
If you do, open it and at the top should be a "drivers" tab. Then check for driver updates. Then install the latest driver. Please note: when you update your drivers your screen might flash black a few times and do some glitchy things, that is totally normal.
If it isn't installed, just go to https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/ and download it.
Once the drivers are up-to-date, restart your PC. If you still notice issues, reply back here (or if you need more help updating your drivers).
That the door "object placement grid". The error happens if the resolution is set too high. Ok I just got a Dell XPS last year with the Geforce experience it has a options library for games. From Google : Here's what you need to know about GeForce Experience, what it does, and whether it's better than the Nvidia Control Panel. The truth is you can use both the Nvidia Control Panel and GeForce Experience to control and modify different graphics settings, as well as update drivers and other performance tweaks. May 25, 2020 Here's the link : https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/download/
Just so know the last time I had to deal with this kind of error was in Sims 2. Good luck with it.
What do you mean when you say your operating system is incompatible? Are you running Windows 7 or 8? If you're running Windows 10 or 11, then you should just be able to click Download and install the drivers.
If something still isn't working for you, you could try using GeForce Experience and let it automatically fetch drivers for you. You can download it here: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/
Only certain games are supported. Go to the following link, select 'Freestyle' from the drop down menu at the top, and look for games with an asterisk. Those are the only ones that support custom reshade filters.

OK, so Windows installed the graphics driver, and the Windows installed one seems to work. It downloaded the DCH driver, which in turn caused nVidia control panel to be downloaded from the Windows store. Check that it's the graphics adapter being used in game, if it is, you're good!
You can download GeForce Experience as a standalone product here. https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/download/ It shouls integrate with the driver Windows installed. As much as it hurts me to suggest, maybe let windows manage your driver updates instead of doing it manually or using GFE? You'll be several months out of date, but it seems to work, so...
Technically, yes Windows does install base drivers, and most of them suit a system fine. However, drivers for your GPU (nvidia) you most definitely should install and others like the Chipset drivers from the manufacturer may also be helpful for resolving certain problems.
Download the driver from here: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/drivers/
And also download GeForce Experience https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/download/
Awesome. Same as mine
Download the latest driver from here
Then download GeForce experience to be notified when a new driver is available.
Restart and reply back if the problem has gone for good.
> In my opinion it shouldn't happen but I don't feel that bad for the OP either. Also the fact he was recording this seems sus.

If you're interested in PC gaming, check if Nvidia Ansel is supported for your title. Install Nvidia's drivers on GeForce Experience, and press alt+F2 in-game to move around. Really cool!
The work around is to add the games to steam manually and then add steam to geforce.
I would assume you told geforce to "scan now" and the games are installed in the scan location?
Also, check the compatibility list. Some games will not show up ever, hence the workaround.

If you have a Nvidia graphics card and not a potato computer you can press a hotkey to automatically save the last X amount of minutes. It's basically always recording your gameplay but you choose what to save, it's pretty nice. This specific feature is called Shadowplay Instant Replay, more info here. Basically press Alt+Z to see the screen if you have GeForce Experience installed.
Then you probably already have it nvdia
Try alt+z to open the overlay to see if it shows, and alt+f9 is the command to capture screen, could be replay or live gaming
If you have the "Nvidia experience" installed (free to download here), then you can apply "game filters" which you can then play around with to improve the issues with lighting.
I also recommend trying out a sharpening filter, since it's in the same spot in the Nvidia experience as the lighting filters. STO has a lot of washed out details that can be enhanced with a sharpening filter.
