How convenient, because you can buy it for PS2 for only about $500 US Dollars
There's an interesting article that was written about Magic: The Gathering, but it can be applied to pretty much any competitive game. The whole article is here if you want to read it, but here's the summary:
There are three major types of people who play games competitively: Timmy, Johnny, and Spike
-Timmy likes to pull off crazy stuff in order to win, so he probably researches and practices all those crazy impractical ToD combos, or he will go out of his way to Hakai Goku Black as Beerus.
-Johnny likes to win, but his way. He doesn't metagame, he doesn't care about who the pros use, he has his way he likes to play and he'll stick to it. It sounds like you're a Johnny. So am I, to a certain degree, I refuse to drop Trunks from my team because I just love the character so much.
-Spike just plays to win. That's what he enjoys the most about games, whatever they may be. He'll run the teams/decks/characters that all have proven to consistently win the most. I'd say that just about all competitive-level players in all games are Spikes, they have to be.
There's no way that is better or worse than any other way, it's just that not everybody is looking to get the same thing out of the same game.
Well...just looking at this picture explains a lot: https://tinyurl.com/ycxmfdev
And you could probably think of a convoluted reason for Dragon Ball's universal language, but in the end it's just simplification. xD
ps4s are cheap dont require setup and all fighting game organizers are already running on them.
They have just become the standard, even in cases where there is more latency on a ps4
they do however make these
many people at my local use them.

I just picked up the Qanba Drone fight stick. It’s cool for beginners. $60 but you can swap the stick and buttons when you want to upgrade. Takes some time getting used to it but once I got a button layout that worked for me, I prefer it to the DualShock.
That said, whatever is most comfortable to you is your best bet. The game’s default controls have a controller in mind so you’re set either way.
Tldr: Qanba Drone is a $60 beginner’s fightstick. Mod ready. Slight learning curve but I felt it was worth it. Do u tho.

Yeah me too. That OP doesn't show it but there's actually two SSB figures alongside that Broly one so I'm hoping that means they'll need to be blue just to take on his base form, with his legendary form wrecking everything - at least until fusion, UI, SSB2, LSSGSS4GSSX^2 or whatever else shows up to save the day.
Just stumbled upon this screenshot from a review copy taken by Mike Fahey on the comments of this Kotaku article.
EDIT: didn't notice the need for A Rank, sorry for not pointing it out on the title.
Not sure but you can buy a psn code on amazon it will instantly deliver and you’ll get the code and you can just buy it from the psn store so... -Amazon.com -psn card $50 or $60 -redeem on psn -buy fighterz with the new balance Link below for $60 card :)

Written notes here as usual - https://tinyurl.com/dbfz-meter
This week's guide is on meter usage - some things have changed since the 1.15 patch dropped in February.
Meter is something the game is pretty gracious with, so this video is more focused on a couple of specific, but common situations (when to kill, meter penalty, and sparking).
Let me know if you have any questions/if there are any topics you'd like to see covered!
https://www.indiegala.com/store/game/dragon-ball-fighterz-ultimate-edition/678950_ultimate
I'm not seeing Chile in the list of countries where the game is unavailable so should be as simple as adding to your cart and checking out
I went to the game's Amazon page and found this
I can do the lighting in between the combo but it ends at 9948 unfortunately. Haven’t figured out how to get that extra 52 dmg yet but I’m still looking for help online.
I personally wouldn't go for this combo online. I see it more as a combo that you would do if you wanna flex on some fools. I just do whenever I feel like I'm dominating or getting dominated that I just try to do the combo. I mean at that point I'm already losing, so why not? I'd highly advise you to join Jiren's Discord if you haven't already. Lots of folks with indepth knowledge of the character. Alot more than me...
Not too sure about this. Just as a note, Bandai went out their way to say on their listing for Fighterz (on Amazon) that the digital copy is available to play once the game releases. However, the standard hardcopy (or "new") version doesn't have that notice (making it seem like consumers that purchase this version may not play on launch). Link for reference is below:
I would recommend messaging Amazon support personally. They should be able to give you an answer.
Hope the best!
EDIT: Just looked at the link above again and noticed that it would be delivered on the day of release as long as you select "Two-day" shipping at checkout (for prime customers). I assume it would be the same for the collector's edition if not higher priority. But even if you did choose two-day shipping, I would still check in with Amazon support just to clarify.
Yea it looks to be that way on steam. Not on Amazon though. You can purchase FighterZ pass for any platform on Amazon.
It's made by S.H. Figuarts. They rock. I got it from amazon here
Thanks! The figure isn't too heavy at all, I wedged a little plastic cube in the corner to keep it up, but it didn't sag very much to begin with. It's a hybrid cooler, so it doesnt have one of those insane 3 slot thick coolers that sag a lot.
I got it from a local anime/comic book store nearby, but it's by Banpresto
Here's the amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/Banpresto-Figurine-Metallic-Scultures-3296580263806/dp/B075DKWBHD
but I think mine is the non-metallic version, the pics dont look like the same colour. I dont have the box anymore to check unfortunately.
Its actually 50 bucks on amazon. Its not a bad fightstick. I would recommend it, but I'm not very familiar with fight sticks so i cant say if its amazong or not. The reviews are great tho. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019MFPLC0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_mO7FBb7QWGJRD
Ive had this ( https://www.amazon.com/Mayflash-F300-Arcade-Joystick-SWITCH/dp/B019MFPLC0/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=HLC6G8M4AVSV&keywords=arcade+stick&qid=1552919082&s=gateway&sprefix=arcade+stick&sr=8-3) stick for about 3 weeks. It has good reviews, rather cheap and ive noticed no issues besides the stick moves a bit past the neutral position when flicked causing it the put another input in. Ive player maybe 20 - 40 hours with it just over the past week since i was on break and I haven't had a single issue with it registering the extra input. Good luck in shopping and have a good day.
Ok this is super interesting. I tested and ultimately I was wrong. It is NOT possible to override a buffered spark with reflect.
So I tested further because I've definitely canceled buffered moves. And it turns out there is a bunch of move priority it seems when it comes to overriding buffers.
Reflect counts a normal for this list since it's essentially a command normal.
Buffered special moves can be overridden with spark or supers.
Buffered spark can be overridden with specials or supers.
Buffered normals can be overridden with anything (I think).
Buffered supers can be overridden with other supers.
So it turns out that although Gohan can't override the spark with reflect, he COULD override it with supers or special moves, so which ones work!?
But that's where it gets even funnier because Gohan level 3 doesn't actually reach high enough and will whiff. BUT if you have SSJ Goku on the team the beam is bigger and is high enough!
If Gohan is level 0 all his DPs lose. If he's leveled then 236M will actually get under the super and trade with it when Gohan rises up into it. His 236L and 236H lose no matter what.
This is actually incredibly specific matchup knowledge. Today I learned!
Unfortunately it seems as though the lobby system from the betas a staple of the online system. I know if the servers are down that it puts you in an offline lobby at least so you can play offline modes which is good, but the whole thing is still a bummer. I've put in over 35 hours playing in like 4 days so I'm still having fun with it. It seems that Kotaku shares my views on this.
It was fortnight because EPIC accidentally changed a setting that allowed it.
The eventually changed it back once it was discovered.
https://parsec.app/
it's a computer app that lets you connect to other people's computers from long distances away. Both players need it installed but after that both players can control the host's computer as if it we're right in front of them. It's infinitely better than the stock netcode dbfz has. However, from my experience it won't work if one of you guys are a keyboard player as the game recognizes keyboard differently than gamepads.

TL,DR: better alternative to dbfz online.
also I agree with foregoing local scenes for the time being due to the current world situation. I'd recommend joining local scenes via their discord server's as well. See what people are saying. I live in a fairly urban populous city meaning I have a lot of options for online discord communications. A few good universities and a local scene can drive up interactions and knowledge sharing of game mechanics.
as for your team, don't ever feel obligated to stick with it. It's all about experimentation and seeing what works best for you personally. There's an almost infinite number of team combinations you can make and see what works best with what you want out of that team. If you want to spam level 7's all day as ssj4 gogeta. Experiment and see which assists' help you best in getting to that level 7. 16 and piccolo aren't the only characters that can help with that. Keep playing with friends and never shy away from asking other people for help. Also, in regards to kid buu. He is definitely an oddball character from the rest of the cast due to his weird mediums. But remember, he's not the only character out there.
The sale I linked is 75% off for the ultimate edition. 79% just for the base game.
And the most important part. 36% off for the S2 pass which NO ONE ELSE will have on sale this year.
Here's the link that's in the OP showing the sale.
Here's a site that compares all store prices for a game and show's who's had the lowest in the past. No one beats the sale price for that site.
bought mine a week ago from
https://www.indiegala.com/store/search?type=games&key=FighterZ&page=1
sale ends in 9 hours though. If your payment doesn't work like mine didnt, email them and they get back to you airly quickly.
Edit: also make sure this is good for your region.

There are some good news: with latest Proton-GE versions, it seems to be finally playable, at least offline.

See https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/1240#issuecomment-625477935 and following comments
Just some advice:
That said, I chuckled :) Welcome to the sub!
I understand the confusion. We were not trying to combo off things. And i purposely jumped into the spirit bomb mainly so he could kill my vegito and make it a goku v goku spirit bomb fest.
Since we both had vegito we just spammed the same moves on purpose.

we were not trying at all. I understand i could have combo'd off like a lot of these attacks and even sparked or changed to get vegitos blue life. however it just a complete troll match.

Heres a clip of what happened most of the time
C assists are fine. People who can't resist mashing reflect, counter /dp/5L are the problem.
C assists They're below average for combos because the long cd on them don't actually make up for their slightly better combo ability
Their real strength is probably neutral with the tracking.
They could probably see a nerf there
You can do custom art (make this in Paint xD) print in legal sheet paper :)
Well considering your a pc gamer I’d say either pick up a fight stick or just use ur keyboard. Here’s a link to the one i use, It goes really cheap for 60$ USD and has lasted me atleast a year and a half. Good luck bro and enjoy playin the game https://www.amazon.com/Mayflash-F300-Arcade-Joystick-Switch/dp/B019MFPLC0
My old PC is 6 years old and it can run DBFZ on high settings without a problem, so you probably won't have any either. Btw the FighterZ edition (includes all DLC characters) is currently reduced to $35 on Amazon, instead of the usual $95. Best deal yet.
I get NAT Type A, and the adapter is one with this same chipset (AIX AX88179):
https://www.amazon.es/Plugable-adaptador-Gigabit-Ethernet-AX88179/dp/B00AQM8586
The other adapter is an old one from Nyko.
It's wired but there's also this wireless option.
I've been using this arcade stick and it's been working out really well so far
Honestly, I didn't do too much research. I looked up on Amazon converters and picked a cheaper one with good reviews.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MYT481C?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I've seen a dramatic improvement in stability and delay on the Switch with this one.
If you don't want to run a wire all the way from your modem to your ps4 you can also get a power line adapter. Your connection will depend on how your house is wired but it'll be a lot better than wifi.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06WP2ZT5N/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_pN7PDbMAE17SA
If your modem is not that far and you don't mind running a wire then getting an long ethernet cable is the cheaper solution.
This is the best one I've found after a long search. Bought it last week and I love it. D-pad is much better than thr pro controller.
HORI ONYX Bluetooth Wireless Sony PS4 Controller - Officially Licensed - PlayStation 4 https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0787BPRN4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_2CFmCbN97Z0SD
I don't personally own this controller but this might be just what you're looking for.
I use the hori dpad joycon: https://www.amazon.com/HORI-D-Pad-Controller-Zelda-Officially-Licensed/dp/B01AJRN4CE Honestly feel like I play the best at dbfz using that, and probably wouldn't have been able to fully enjoy switch version if I didn't buy it.
I started with a Mayflash F300
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B019MFPLC0/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Upgraded to sanwa buttons and stick, and put an 8 way gate on there, all together coming out to about 80 bucks which isnt too bad.
But this stick works well with default components as well. Although id really suggest upgrading the stick and putting the 8 gate in there, otherwise you're hindering yourself
I have a movelist app for Android that may help. I'm working on an iOS version right now. Once that's up, I'll be adding features to both (Twitch, sample combos, etc.). Enjoy!
Personally I bought the Mayflash F500 and bought a replacement stick and buttons from here. I'm super happy with it. My only complaint is that the rubber pads on the bottom did fall off presumably to cheap glue, but that's easily fixed. Feels really solid for the price point of ~110, plus it's my own stick, ya know.
Yes gpu sag is the only real issue and it kind of sucks you don't have many options. Most braces use the standoffs below the GPU but you have to use your lowest slot to make room for the figures.
https://www.google.com/search?q=gpu+brace and click on images.
Was going to say you are kind of SOL but I was looking on Amazon and I saw this
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079HSVSLR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_auKTBbXXK8128
You might be able to do something to make this look aesthetically pleasing with your cable management with this. Never seen something like this before but it makes sense enough, modders use to use Legos to make brace towers like this when they swap out the cooling on the GPU with something much heavier.
Would you recommend something like these? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B019MFPLC0?pf_rd_p=d1f45e03-8b73-4c9a-9beb-4819111bef9a&pf_rd_r=GZ1HQ92BY9WQWV53H3CF. I only have a xbox one controller atm. would like to see if a fightstick would be better to use.
No worries m8. Here's a good deal to help Mediabridge Ethernet Cable (50 Feet) - Supports Cat6 / Cat5e / Cat5 Standards, 550MHz, 10Gbps - RJ45 Computer Networking Cord (Part# 31-399-50B ) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001W26TIW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_W4.lBb3RHKFMN
This is a pretty good one. I've used the elite and the razer and i think the razer is better for fighting games. I like the dpad better as well.
https://www.amazon.com/Razer-Wolverine-Ultimate-Customizable-Controller/dp/B074RNL1RX
https://www.amazon.com/Fighting-Commander-PlayStation-Officially-Licensed-4/dp/B01GVOFIAA this model right? You sure you’re just not accustomed to flipping your motions? This is the model i use without issue. But controllers are all preference with comfortability. You may like the ds4 much more than i do. Xbox ones controllers dpad was pretty good too but not terribly comfy.
This is the monitor I use and I'm currently satisfied with it. Might get a second one just to compliment my first one in general. If the price is too high, there might be one that is 50 bucks cheaper.
Found this one that I heard is good. I already have an arcade stick though I just didn't like that feel and switched back to dpad. I bought an octagonal plate and am hoping it'll make it feel better to use. Only cost like $7 so I figured I'd try it before buying the controller.
What you could also do is pick up the bitdo bluetooth adapter they just came out with on amazon, I use it for me DS4 and its hella easy to set up, costs like 20 bucks. https://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Bluetooth-Adapter-Nintendo-Switch-Raspberry/dp/B0786JC6VW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1522394031&sr=8-1&keywords=bitdo+adapter
I have two fightsticks. The first one I bought was a cheap Hori one, which wasn't particularly that good. Then I got this bad boy and have never looked back: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Official-PlayStation-Licensed-8-Button-Arcade/dp/B00NHDSINS/ref=sr_1_5?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1520770477&sr=1-5&keywords=fightstick
It's not the flashiest fight stick with lots of extra buttons/functionalities, but it's rock solid and incredibly comfortable/responsive to play with. Plus it's pretty reasonably priced as well.
But yeah, I would suggest doing some research before you invest. See what others recommend and make a budget for how much you're willing to invest.
Unfortunately strangers on the internet are not mind readers.
You should really consider looking into alternative input methods. Brolylegs plays with literally his tongue due to being literally unable to use his hands for anything practical.
I don't know how severe your nerve damage is or where it's centralized, but if you can type at a steady 15WPM you should consider utilizing a keyboard or a Hitbox controller. Or even alternatively a normal fightstick, if your wrists are far better off than your fingers.
Alternatively if you're playing on PC, you can reduce the strain of your hands by getting something like this foot pedal thing. Hook it up to an AutoHotkey script for basic inputs and you can probably work something out.
The first controller that comes to mind for good D Pads on PC would be the Xbox 360 controller with a transforming D Pad. It's a metal D Pad that has a much better design than the original 360 D Pad (the cross part is a lot more concaved and your thumb more easily slides over it). Also you can twist the D Pad itself to have the corner bits drop away so you just have the cross part of the D Pad that your thumb touches. https://www.amazon.com/Xbox-360-Wireless-Controller-Transforming-Charge/dp/B00936K09S
At some point I plan on modding my Switch Pro controller like this guy did: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQNPVGLdOyU&t
Yeah. I’m only seeing a steam code
Dragon Ball FighterZ [Online Game Code] https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0777VW27S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_9h-CAbHS34S5M
Good luck man. Hope to see you and other Indians in the arena.
I heard if you get one of these you can use PS3 sticks on PS4.
Since everyone else covered me, if you're still not convinced, here's a marketed "fighting pad" https://www.amazon.com/Fighting-Commander-PlayStation-Officially-Licensed-4/dp/B01GVOFIAA no analogs at all.
> I'm pretty sure Hori RAP 4 is a PS4 controller.
It is not a PS4 controller, it is a brand and version of fight stick
That being said though, I can understand older sticks having problems.
If it's that ASUS with a 3rd generation i7 & 1600mhz RAM, you're probably going to suffer a bit. Should be ok on lowest settings though.
qanba drone $80 (easy mod to sanwa if you choose)
http://www.eightarc.com/drone/
if you want a friendlier controller.. try the Hori Mini pad $30.
https://www.amazon.com/PlayStation-4-Mini-Wired-Gamepad/dp/B076MQ34PQ
Just get a brooks converter. PS3 to PS4. Here ya go
I think is commonly known as Hori Fighting Commander.
https://www.amazon.com/Qanba-Drone-PlayStation-4/dp/B01I0GEDEY
For under $100, this is considered to be a solid stick. Many would urge you to save and get a nicer stick more in the $200 range. The quality difference is frequently worth it.
Gam3Gear Brook Super Converter PS3 to PS4 Controller Gaming Adapter with Gam3Gear Keychain https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018T3C33Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_kGRAAbBK5QY30
Try this op I use a old ps3 street fighter tourney stick and it works beautiful when I plug it into he converter also I don’t notice any input lag
Well I'm not sure how things used to be, but basically all fightsticks easily switch between PC and PS4 with zero lag. They plug in through USB nowadays. Here's a popular one that will definitely work on both.
Without something like this your computer will detect that the device is connected but none of the inputs will be detected (no button presses or stick movement). So this method will not work. What would be needed is some way to get a VIA adapter that isn't on PCI, so far I can't find any.
It depends. If you're playing on DualShock I don't think the separated D-Pad is a big deal, but if you're used to traditional D-Pad, then a good investment for fighters and platformers would be to buy an extra Left Joy-Con (Just the left one) and install one of these on it.
I think Control Stick definitely lacks travel distance for anything 2D though.
To be honest you aren't gonna find a quality stick for only 40 bucks unless you look really hard for a used one on ebay or something. The only one i know that even fits that price range are the Hori Fighting Stick Mini i'm not a fan of it personally. It's small and feels very cheap, but it will do the job.
Honestly if you are serious about learning stick, i would highly recommend considering dropping some more money on a quality one. If not a normal controller will work just fine with this game.
The only $40 sticks I've ever seen or used have been pretty tiny and uncomfortable. Frankly they're not worth it, their size makes them too hard to use and their buttons are often unresponsive or difficult to press properly.
The cheapest stick I'd recommend would be the Qanba Carbon at $60, but even then I'd recommend saving up and getting a better one if you don't mind waiting for a sale or something. The Carbon is a decent size, but be aware it's made with budget-quality components so the stick and buttons don't feel great. That said I've owned one for over a year now and it's still working, so if that's all you're looking for it'll get the job done.
I was hoping to get a more entry level stick before I start shelling out tons of money. I was thinking this one for now. Is it ok?
I wouldn't recommend buying a stick if you've never used one before. It will take you a while to get truly comfortable with it. I would suggest either sticking it out on your controller, or invest in a Fight Pad
Yeah you're exactly right, a cancel is kind of like skipping the recovery of your attack by starting up another attack.
I can give you one big piece of advice that really helped me improve at fighting games. It's gonna sound pretty weird.
Do as little thinking as possible, even when you're playing against someone.
When you mess up a combo, don't think, "ugh I messed it up again" or "man, I keep doing that". Just keep playing. Likewise, when you finally land that combo you've been practicing over and over, don't think, "FINALLY!" or something like that. Just keep playing.
If you have the knowledge of what you want done, your body will naturally fix errors to that without you even thinking. In fact, thinking will actually make it slower for your body to adapt. The only thing that thinking stuff like, "I know I need to do this, but I keep doing that" will accomplish is making you frustrated. Just feel it out.
When you hear those cool kung fu quotes like empty your mind, this is more or less what they're referring to.
The time that you do want to think is when you're trying to figure out a complicated problem or when you're learning something new. Like you just lost a match to someone spamming the same move over and over. You'd want to go into training mode and think, "Okay, how do I beat that move?". Don't think that during a match though, unless you're not trying to win and just trying to figure out how to beat something. When you're too focused on fixing one thing in the middle of the match, the rest of your gameplay gets way worse. Either think about that stuff in between matches or in training mode.
It's a bit more complicated than this, there's a lot of subtle aspects to it. If you're interested in this topic, I'd recommend reading a book called "The Inner Game of Tennis".
Do you have enough for a Brooks converter? That would allow your PS3 stick to work on PS4. https://www.amazon.com/Gam3Gear-Converter-Controller-Adapter-Keychain/dp/B018T3C33Q/ref=sr_1_1/143-5529430-4124559?ie=UTF8
I don't think you're looking hard enough. You can pre-order it on Amazon right now
I played on a pad but made the switch to an arcade stick about 8 years ago? I had only been playing fighters for a year on a pad at that point and it was a pretty difficult switch. Took me at least a couple months but personally I feel playing on a stick is a lot more fun!
That said, the cheapest option for a fight stick right now would be the HRAP4. You don't have to buy a stick any cheaper than this because they're really bad and not worth it.
