I think you might as well use Ansel if that's what you're doing. It's built into Geforce Experience.
Apparently it works with RDR2 PC: https://www.reddit.com/r/reddeadredemption/comments/dtodtf/mary_beth_photo_modenvidia_ansels_effects/
Damn, that sucks.
I read somewhere that the ports for Rockstar aren't open on Starlink and they're aware of it.
I guess the only other thing that could fix it is using a VPN. That fixed and bunch of shit I couldn't be bother to fix manually for me.
A free one that I use is ProtonVPN. They have free servers in the Netherlands, the US and Japan so just connect the closest one to you and try to see if it works. They also used to have a free premium trial for a week in case you want to try one of the premium servers, but idk if that's still there.
Can you upload your System.xml file from rdr2 ? cause if you copy that and copy it inside the file the structure is fucked :P
Like upload here http://www.tinyupload.com/
Hey.
Try installing the newest NVIDIA Driver 470 for you system os. For me that would be the newest BETA driver for 64-Bit Linux with a lot of fixes included. If you want to relate have a look at that GitHub post referring to the vulkan buffer exception which should be fixed with the driver 470. (linux based mostly)
Besides that use the -ignorepipelinecache parameter mentioned here:
Keep in mind that this only works if you are using Vulkan. But to soothe your mind I am constantly getting random crashes aswell. Just without any error message. Just plain straight to the desktop without anything.
Hi my i5 boys! I have beign testing graphic settings after this patch. With the launcher parameter, 0 stuttering by the moment, so good news! I want to share with you my graphic settings if someone wants to test. 60 stables FPS out of towns, and 55-50 FPS in towns, with some drops but nothing important.
CPU: i5-6600K with 4.5 GHz OC
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1070Ti 6GB
Now, let's FINALLY enjoy the game!! Thanks to everyone in this thread, we have been the fucking resistance.
UPDATE: I managed to force the controller to work in RDR2 with DS4Windows which now supports not only Dualschok 4 but also Dual Sense (PS5 controller). It's weird because every other method failed. Starting the game through Steam failed, x360ce failed and other emulators failed as well. So if anyone else has this issue, I recommend trying DS4Windows. Maybe it will work in your case as well.
Run a memory stress test: https://github.com/integralfx/MemTestHelper/blob/master/DDR4%20OC%20Guide.md#memory-testing-software
Unstable ram can cause worse performance.
OCCT has a decent SSE/AVX based memory stress test as well: https://www.ocbase.com/
I had the same issue (CTD after shotgun intro) on launch day, but I solved it by disabling my antivirus. You can try that if you haven't already.
And for finding out what Mobo and BIOS version you have, run CPU-Z and it will tell you. I would definitely update the BIOS if you haven't in 3 years, because if it's and Intel CPU, your BIOS is likely not patched for the Spectre/Meltdown vulnerabilities that were discovered in early 2018.
Use CPU-Z to figure out what Mobo you have: https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html
Install and run that, then on the Mainboard tab it should tell you what motherboard brand, model (and optionally Revision) you have as well as what BIOS version it's currently running (and how old it is).
Then you can go to the website for the manufacturer, go to their support page for the model motherboard you have and determine if there is an updated BIOS version available.
I only noticed it today a bit further into the game and different time of day where it was much brighter and I put it down to how it's rendered, 'deferred rendering' is what popped into my head when I seen it.
Im not a dev, but like to read about random stuff on how games work. https://www.sidefx.com/docs/houdini/render/sampling.html
Fixing the issue is very taxing and a task that is most likely impossible given the amount of detail and size of game
Bit late but... If you are still using windows to search for shit...
Check [this](https://www.voidtools.com/) shit out. Search Everthing. Never get disappointed with Windows search again.
I found a 949$ pc that will Run rdr2 story on medium settings https://www.amazon.com/CyberpowerPC-Xtreme-i5-10400F-GeForce-GXiVR8060A10/dp/B08D6Z4MSG/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=prebuilt%2Bgaming%2Bpc&qid=1622080781&sr=8-3&th=1&psc=1
You can change your IP by messing with your modem and router.
Sometimes you just have to reset your modem, but some ISPs make you change your router's MAC address too before they'll assign you a new IP.
I'd also recommend a VPN in the future. Proton and Mullvad are good options.
Otherwise I usually do the solo public lobby for GTA 5, which would be enough to be left alone at least.
Funny thing I noticed, if you look at the page for the companion app you can see it was actually last updated 1 day before the PC release: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rockstargames.rdr2app
Why couldn't they add support for it then, to make it ready for the PC release? This whole thing feels so rushed.
Budget(1080): RX580- https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06ZZ6FMF8/ref=cm\_sw\_em\_r\_mt\_dp\_U\_pRxbEb4473HZB
Best (1440): RX5700-https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07W821Z6C/ref=cm\_sw\_em\_r\_mt\_dp\_U\_2TxbEbG78SP04
I'm unsure if any other way, but you could try an SD card, or something similar.
I recently bought this flash drive that has excellent speed for the price: https://www.amazon.com/Silicon-Power-128GB-Flash-Drive/dp/B07DCP94LG/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?keywords=silicone+power+fladh+drive&qid=1573195113&sr=8-2-spell
exactly plus as others have said I can get a Corsair 16gb kit for 65$ on amazon, I personally have 32gb just because it was cheap....
