Once the steam sales start, I urge you to click through to that thread and file a complaint with your national ombudsman/consumer protection group/chamber of commerce (a lot of people have posted links and addresses you can file to in that thread). Yes, it is very illegal in many jurisdictions (including Germany and Canada), and it's the second time Gaijin has done this now. Complaining about it will get Valve's and Gaijin's attention.
Really pathetic and unethical move.
Note: IF they start on the items that have been increased in price.
edit: Looks like we can lower our pitchforks. The Ace Pack was scheduled to go on sale today (against consumer protection laws) but was unlisted shortly before sales began, at around the same time posts on reddit about it came up. So while they're not doing anything wrong now, I think it's likely we forced their hand.
https://meduza.io/en/feature/2019/06/26/i-was-a-celebrity-in-jail
>On June 19, 42-year-old flight simulation developer Oleg Tishchenko was sentenced in the United States. In 2011, he had purchased instruction manuals for the American F-16 fighter jet model on eBay. Five years later, the U.S. government brought criminal charges, and in early 2019, Tishchenko was extradited after he flew to Georgia for a dance festival. The game developer, who was tried in Utah, could have faced more than 10 years in prison for conspiracy to commit an offense against the United States, violating the Arms Export Control Act, and smuggling. However, some of the charges against him were dropped, and the court counted the year he had spent in jail since his capture in Georgia toward his one-year sentence. Following Tishchenko’s immediate release, he was deported to Russia, where we asked him about the charges he faced and his life behind bars in the U.S. and Georgia.
You mean move the reticule down so fast? My mouse has a scroll wheel that uncouples and rolls without resistance if you move it fast enough https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Master-Wireless-Mouse-Rechargeable/dp/B071YZJ1G1?th=1
Just to create a new spine for this but might be worth a new topic but -
Naval has been completely removed from the Roadmap even after release. Guess they might have finally permanently canned it.
http://warthunder.com/en/game/roadmap
Guess it explains why the devs have been dodging any questions regarding it for the past couple of months.
Ms. /u/BatiDari,
Could you please give my compliments to those who thought up both the events and this easy to follow GRAPHIC.
It has made very easy to keep with the coming events.
This is a server update that will be implemented on the game servers within 24 hours. During this time, bug reports regarding specifics mentioned here and their effect in a battle will not be considered as a bug and as such will not be taken into consideration.
The LMS feature, while providing a realistic effect on 2-3 crew member ground vehicles, has an unnatural effect on vehicles with larger crews with complex internal path-finding in many cases. We don't want have different controls/gameplay mechanics on different tanks, so we have decided to rework the effect. Today we will disable this feature in RB and SB mode. We plan to add new functions in the next major update that will make it possible to heal one or more crew members. This will give more gameplay options on the one hand and will not create the disadvantages that players faced previously.
They're inherently slow and cannot dive. So long that a monoplane doesn't get in a turn fight and keeps its speed up, it should win. The Chaika is only OP against pilots that get sloppy about that.
There is a vehicle called "Humble Hornet" and it carries Malkara missiles
Those missiles are ATGM's but instead of HEAT they carry a HESH warhead.
Are you afraid of an FV4005 shot? It's shell have a caliber of 183mm and the warhead weights 17kg.
Malkara missile has a caliber of 203 mm and it's warhead weight 26 kg.
I have mentioned in my streams multiple times the horrible ergonomics of the Sherman Firefly. As a perfect example of what I am talking about, here is a photo of a Firefly gunner operating the MANUAL elevation handle while trying to aim the gun. Yes, that is UNDER the gun.

He is definitely using a wall hack. Just look at the replay from his point view (you must have WT already started before pressing REPLAY). Report him with the replay page link near his name.
Thanks for coming here and owning up to mistakes made. It seems clear to me now that miscommunications arose with regards to the Know's video, too, and that accidents, not malice, drove the price hike of items that were apparently going on sale.
What you are describing is pretty-much what the "World War" mode is supposed to be whenever it finally gets introduced. See Gaijin's own talks about it here.
Long running confrontations spread out over a number of battles/locations within one larger map which you can join whenever you want and leave whenever you want. They've also said WW is going to be a large-scale campaign style thing where leaders (don't know who these are going to be) can pick and direct more localised battles, with air/ground/ships working together towards certain objectives.
Sounds great but as with all WT things it seems to be taking a hella long time to get put out there. EC seems to be some sort of beta-test for it but that's about it. I don't think we've even had a soon^^^tm yet.
This page says otherwise
https://steamdb.info/app/244390/history/
You can clearly see the pack was removed from a Steam Summer Sale pack. It also shows that this pack was created 12 days ago. Could you please clarify this?
EDIT: Yes, I found the answer to this in his comment history and the answer was convincing enough for me.
Teeeechnically it's not a Warcrime unless you fire upon the enemy while under another banner. The Q-Ships would hoist the White Ensign before opening fire. It's a dirty trick to be sure, but technically within the 'rules' of war
In fact, technically these Panther/M10s aren't warcrimes either, since they never fired upon anything Allied while they were disguised (since they never got the chance to)
https://worldoftanks.com/en/news/chieftain/The_Chieftains_Hatch_Panther_M10/
>They're the same vehicle. The vehicle was developed as a super-heavy tank designed to breach the Siegried Line fortifications, and so designated in the tank nomenclature, coming somewhere between T26 (Pershing), and T29 (the turreted 105mm tank eveyone at Tier VII loves). (T27 was taken by an armoured car and GMC). About 1945/46, I'd need to check, someone decided that the thing wasn't really a tank, and was more a self-propelled artillery piece. This it was redesignated to a Gun Motor Carriage, and the GMCs were way up the numbering list. T95 was available. Then, a year or so later, they decided that perhaps it actually was a tank after all, and renamed it back to T28. If anyone cares to look up the exact dates, the OCMs in question were OCM 27219 declaring it T95, and OCM 30958 turning it back into T28.
https://worldoftanks.com/en/news/chieftain/T28_and_T95/
In this link you can also see where the T28 we have in game comes from, basically made up by WG because they needed a tier 8 tank destroyer. So Gaijin basically did the same thing, because the T28 without the second set of tracks was never supposed to go into combat like that.
I take it you haven't seen this. http://forum.warthunder.com/index.php?/topic/212752-f8f-with-error-in-tail-sectionwrong-modeled/
If you are having problems working with GIMP try Paint.NET http://www.getpaint.net/index.html It is paint with layers and good rotation. It is good for smaller things.
Sorry, I was too excited! If you notice suspicious behavior (e.g. in this case magical ability to spot/track through cover), there is now an easier way to tell if the enemy player is a cheater or just good. Check the server replay, use view 2 (player perspective, includes their scopeuse unlike local replays), and use the handy Report button.
This annoying guy and his ill-gotten RB GF 6:1 K:D in all major Rank IV grinders (thanks Thunderskill) is now history. And days of his life and a dozen premium vehicles.
The armor just weakened and shattered there from the repeat impacts. >A picture included as an attachment with the report shows one of the 3 Panthers used in the August, 1944 Isigny tests. Note how the plate has shattered around the hull MG bulge – a catastrophic failure indicative of the “edge effect”. This picture demonstrates the difficulty of interpreting firing tests when the shots fired are many, and the targets are few.
>Whether these were truly due to uneven quality of the armor (the Germans were adjusting the alloy content of their plates to compensate for shortages of some metals), or were due to the degradation of plates that were struck by multiple projectiles in close proximity is hard to asses. The shock waves that propagate through metal from powerful blows can weaken it, even if there is no visible damage or penetration. This is particularly true around the edges of the plate, where the shock waves can compound as they reflect back much like ripples at the edge of a pond of water. Modern tank design focuses on un-interrupted plates with no through-holes (no direct vision ports or hull machine guns) in order to minimize the number of edges in the plate. But the phenomenon of such “edge effects” was not well understood in 1944.
And I swear that article was just the first link I found when I googled "panther front plate 17pdr".
Wow! I was really not expecting this news at all. It's great to see Gaijin working on things to cater towards the SB crowd recently.
It's incredible how much better the game looks in this screenshot just because of the open cockpit. It adds an amazing amount of credibility to the planes, and makes them seem more like real machines and less like airfix models.
I think the SB community deserves a more in depth explanation to "Upcoming changes to Simulator battles". Replacing "to battle" SB with duels (as they currently exist) isn't much of a replacement at all. People are very concerned. Please explain your vision of the future of SB for us.
give it its proper bombload and i'll be fine with a 5.0 br
This is a server update that will be implemented on the game servers within 24 hours. During this time, bug reports regarding specifics mentioned here and their effect in a battle will not be considered as a bug and as such will not be taken into consideration.
Economy and Research
We are introducing three starter ground vehicles for the British tree, which will appear in the next major update.
With the the three starter vehicles, we are planning on introducing five specific lines:
In our devblogs we have been discussing British vehicles, which you will be able to try out very soon. Follow the news about the new vehicles in War Thunder.
Well, not only on forums, in game chat also there are some similar responses. Once i asked in there "When the México's tree will be released?" As a joke (But i really want the FAM roundel so badly).
The answer: Mexico never fight on WWII.
R U SURE? e.e
Going through the new 1.51 sound files and I found these new gun sounds. They sound like a normal single shot rifle, nothing like the other gun sounds. EDIT: This is what they sound like.
With the recent infantry texture updates, Gaijin might be working on further implementing NPC infantry in one way or another.
Yeah, I'm not inclined to agree with Scarper here.
It was removed right in the middle of the ruckus, just before the sale would kick off. https://steamdb.info/app/244390/history/
And keep in mind they did this exact same thing last year too, but it didn't meet such a big shitstorm last summer.
Note: This update applies to PC/Linux/Mac users. If applicable, PS4 Users will receive the update as soon as possible.
EDIT: Patch notes changed.
But seriously, its an amazingly well done 3d model of t-55, it was even published on polish main page of WT. For some reason it did not make it into English.
It looks so good that there are some speculation on forums that this model might see actual light of day in WT...
Solid post, and one I completely agree with.
There is so much space for improvement that a whole patch dedicated to QoL would only be a start. Battle Ratings, map design, gameplay modes, etcetera.
Sell me premium tanks and planes, by all means. But please don't cut pieces out of existing gameplay to monetize them even more.
(Give us EC on big maps for tanks and I'd be the happiest... World of Tanks is even doing something like that now)
First part is correct.
Second part is not. The Ace Pack was supposed to be bundled with the rest of the summer pack. They unlisted it earlier today after the controversy came up, despite having scheduled it for release over a week ago.
I'm starting to think the ruckus got them to play it smart.
Luftwaffe fans, rejoice! One of the most unusual and dangerous aircraft of WW2 - the Do.335 “Pfeil” has arrived with three modifications!
The Do.335 is the first aircraft with tandem-mounted engines in War Thunder, that’s why designing its model was a bit of a challenge for us. We believe that we did well. Both engines and both propellers are operational, the animations of the radiator shutters, the flap system and the chassis all operate correctly.
Besides the unusual look of the model itself, observers may also notice the canopy design that is uncommon for a German fighter aircraft, also the unique front undercarriage leg.
As for the vehicle performance and the aircraft’s combat characteristics, it should be noted that experimental models built by Claudius Dornier featured a superb speed in level flight (perhaps they were the fastest piston powered aircraft of WW2), a powerful armament consisting of 20mm and 30mm cannons and also its capability of carrying bombs both on the wing pods and in bomb bay.
In War Thunder, the Do.335 is represented with 3 modifications:
The Do.335 is one of the most advanced prop fighters in history. Get ready to meet it in War Thunder Update 1.57!
Funnily enough they actually can this Halloween patch as of today. It's obviously a test-bed for introducing more multi-turreted/double-barreled tanks in the future much like the April Fools event of Warthunder was a test-bed for later tank technologies like ERA (and possibly helicopters.)
Also to be fair, in WoT for a very long time there really wasn't much use using most tanks secondary gun, the only one I could think of that might be useful is the M3 Lee/M3 Grants 37mm since it actually faces very poorly armoured and lower tier tanks and probably in fringe cases of the Maus and E-100 shooting arty.
For the biggest and smallest planes this infographic they released shows them. The He-162 is the smallest and the G5N1 is the biggest. I don't think anything has changed.
As for tanks, I believe the Jadgtiger is the heaviest tank put into production, but the T-35 might still be the biggest. The smallest tank is probably the t-60 as /u/Stone_CyberStone said.
http://warthunder.com/en/tournament/replay
War Thunder recently enabled serverside replays after a match, which can be viewed in-game in the "Battles" tab of recent activity, where you'd go and find in-game information on victories, losses, purchases, achievements, etc.
It will direct you to a page where you can view the server's version of a replay. This is great, because you can see ever player at any moment, as well as what every player sees, through the eyes of the server. Not only that, but you can REPORT PLAYERS, and even add a timestamp, from the website interface implicitly for illegal programs, which you can't do in-game. These replays also are good if you want to capture a neat match you had, as you can record from more interesting angles without vehicles disappearing because you did not have LOS at the time.
I thought this was an amazing feature, because I found out that some people I was suspicious of turned out to just be good players. But then there were other cases, like this one. I wasn't actually even that suspicious about this player until I realized he had 12 kills near the end of the match and seemed to know exactly where I was at a few moments later, unrecorded.
If you have a few moments, check out one of your matches with this system. It's great, and you might pick up some tips by watching other players.
According to https://worldoftanks.com/en/news/chieftain/chieftains-hatch-al-fahd-best-tank-you-never-heard/
its for mostly political reasons and timing reasons. The US obviously didn't want people to buy someone else's tanks, so they put pressure on the Saudis who had been going to buy some, the Osorio beat the M1A1 in trials but when the US came out with the M1A2 they changed their minds and decided to go with that.
>In 1991, Saudi Arabia went back on their agreement, and ordered the M1A2 Abrams instead - a combination of positive media exposure of the M1A1, coupled with an already close relationship with Washington and a sizable war debt to the US, made the Saudi procurement of an M1 Abrams inevitable.
The government of Brazil had said before development started that they could not afford to pay for the whole thing so they would only buy tanks if the company exported tanks to help with the cost. Combine that with the end of the Cold War meaning that a lot of countries no longer needed as many tanks and a lot of decent tanks coming onto the market for cheap meant they couldn't find any foreigners to buy their tank which meant Brazil wasn't interested either. The company went bankrupt from the costs of development.
I believe their intention was to indeed put those packs on sale, but the uprising here and in the forums (even in /r/gaming) made them think it was a bad idea. That's why they didn't actually put it for sale, to avoid further bad press.
Look at this: https://steamdb.info/app/244390/history/
According to that link, they put the up-priced Ace Advanced pack in the Steam Summer Pack, which is now the one on sale. They they removed it right before it actually went on sale.
Not to mention, the thing is called "Steam Summer Sale Pack", and the up-priced pack was in there for a while, so I don't buy his excuse of "we didn't even consider it".
This it makes me a little annoyed that Scarper writes as if increasing the price before a sale is something offensive to them, as if the company would never do that (they've done it before, cough cough).
Not only were they apparently planning on doing exactly that, but more importantly, they've done it before. So, before the sale, the accusations of greed (not the "illegal" stuff) had plenty of merit to them.
Edit: words
I hope it wont be like event when you had to defend some artillery position against bots
Edit: Last stand on 4th year anniversary
i mean...you sorta deserve the broken ass headphones since you bought them, they are pure scam. aside from that, buy a pc fan and set it on your current cpu fan instead of the desk fan you are using now. it will move more air where it actually matters. something like this https://www.amazon.com/Noctua-redux-1700-high-Performance-Award-Winning-Affordable/dp/B07CG2PGY6/ref=sr_1_4?crid=3NAUZ06J7BTXU
Please, don't pay for anyone for things like that. Press accounts are easily revoked without a notice if they are misused. That would mean that money that you payed for something like that will be gone from your account, but you won't receive anything.
Same comes with normal accounts. Please, read EULA.
Also, they do use pilot testimony both of WW2 pilots and people who have flown the planes after: http://warthunder.com/en/news/770-VIDEO-Developers-Answers-Part-1-en
There is always a difference between safe operating parametres and capabilities. If wing deformity happens at 700+ km/t dives, you set the dive speed at what aircraft under most circumstances can handle without losing integrity. There is a world of difference between a slight deformation, or a pink wing and wings flying off the instant you hit a speed.
> Doesn't say anything about premature failures or anything to this effect. They think this plate is not to their standard, doesn't say anything about expected protection
"However, it was found that the hardenability was not emloyed effectively because the plate was not quenched drastically enough to prevent the formation of nonmartensitic transformation constituents possessing inferior toughness."
Non-martensitic microstructures are not something you want, they're non-homogeneous structures.
>a lot of these tests showed premature failures
Since you're probably already aware of it, the Soviet test on the Tiger II (a pristine one which had been abandoned) which I suspect this excerpt is based on along with other firing tests, there's the Panther's at Isigny (all of the tests, not just that one) and there's also the British analysis which combines a lot of the existing information when considering the findings.
All of which point to an unsurprising fact, alloying metals are kind of important and timing quenches for huge glacis plates down to the second is not really viable for good quality RHA.
ULQ for replay to show that forest doesn't magically disappear, because someone will say something about it immediately otherwise.
Bonus clip of him from earlier in the game. Fires at another target that is in the city, but before the round could even get to the mass of buildings blocking line of sight, it hits the embankment 50M in front of him.
Server Replay here - first gif at 9:20 and gif above at 3:15. His squadron, [JAngO], believe these gifs don't show anything out of the ordinary, so they're obviously big on fair play.
^/u/scarper_ ^you ^asked ^to ^be ^tagged ^in ^any ^threads ^showing ^blatant/obvious ^cheats, ^here ^you ^go.
Basically, this dude killed me through a forest, through a house that I was sitting behind on the other side of the map. Decided to find his replays and have watched a few.
Its pretty obvious at times he is hacking, (tracking targets, shooting at buildings with enemies behind them, etc.) Figured I'd upload a quick clip since I saw one on here the other day and it seemed to get to the right people.
Here are his replays if anyone is interested - http://warthunder.com/en/tournament/replay/?Filter%5Bgame_mode%5D%5B0%5D=realistic&Filter%5Bkeyword%5D=&Filter%5Bnick%5D=DxOut4Harambe&action=search#all
The 'White Rock Fortress' battle on Nov 11 was another one that was pretty obvious. Some are hard to tell because the guy is just so insanely bad at the game, and also has the Panther with the worst turret traverse, but after you watch for a bit it becomes pretty plain to see.
You missed my point. I don't like the FB comments because they are "funny", but because they engage with the community in a great way.
The clowns I am talking about did more damage to Gaijin's image than anything. What I mean are all those arrogant and passively aggressive answers that count in hundreds over the years. It is better to be silent. Not at all connected to delivering bad news. It's nice you are trying to protect your colleagues, but turning a blind eye to all of that is not going to help you.
I think there are hundreds of examples in the comment section of WT.com and the forums. Last one that stuck in my mind is here:
The news is about opportunities to get vehicles via warbonds, one player says: "And all Gaijin ask for is 10 hours of your life everyday!"
To which Stona_WT answers: "Amount of time you spend on warbonds tasks depends mostly on your skills ;)"
There is no point disputing whether it is true or not (it is not, warbonds require time, not skill). This is a typical example of doing a shit job as a community manager or whatever. What is the point of this comment? It's exactly what I am talking about. It's not funny, it's being a dick in name of Gaijin. Passively aggressive arrogant dickness. This guys is the clown. There is no way anyone at their right mind would think that this is an appropriate way to respond to such a comment in a name of a gaming company.

You will be able to see the game in a new light due to renewed render and, finally, do what you always wanted to do the most - destroy some buildings at your favourite locations!
Can't wait for this water effects!

You don't think the Steam numbers are a valid sampling of the player base?
Yeah, it's not comprehensive. But the majority of the data isn't released by Gaijin, so we use what we have.
And even if only 10% of players play through Steam, that's more than enough for a statistically valid sampling.
Watching the views rack up on his replays, which can be viewed here: http://warthunder.com/en/tournament/replay/type/replays?Filter%5Bkeyword%5D=&Filter%5Bnick%5D=Big_Bore_Bohica&action=search#118016965330686793
Few interesting things on Fields of Normandy - seems to appreciate X_H's (rest in pepperonis) favourite hideout.
I'm not going to spend much time going through them, but all I needed to see was this one:

It's an event. First task starts this evening. 15 X Fighter rescuer or Bomber rescuer.
No idea about the prizes.

~~The wings and tail part... I don't have the full story like what was/wasn't working. He flew in the European theater. The Germans didn't take kindly to him bombing stuff. I haven't talked to him in a long time and was to young to understand his stories. I've been looking it up online to see if I could find things like pictures. All I've found is an enlistment record.~~
Instead of using my old childhood memories as a source here is a pic with the full story.

Text from the page
Hello Friends! We would like to continue to brief you about the aircraft which will soon appear in our game. There are many fans of Japanese planes among our players, but there aren’t that many of the aircraft themselves. This is why we try to expand their tech tree and gradually add new planes to the game. Say hello to the A7M2 fighter!
Kirill "Lassar" Vostretsov, Game Designer:
>Unfortunately, the Japanese aviation tech tree does not have enough aircraft at every rank, which is something that we are trying to rectify. We have already added the A7M1 - the prototype of the carrier fighter as a premium plane. We are now adding the A7M2 to the main line of Japanese carrier fighters. The aircraft has excellent technical and flight characteristics and we are sure that our players will enjoy it.
>Some of the external features of its predecessor the A6M can be seen in the A7M2. However, the aircraft definitely increased in size and changed its shape. The A7M2’s size and wingspan are really large for a carrier based aircraft..
Sergei Volkov, Lead Flight-model designer:
> The production variant of the A7M with index number 2. Unlike the prototype (which you already know about), this aircraft had the more powerful MK9A engine with an output of 2200 hp and a reinforced frame. The weight increase is compensated for by the new engine, so the aircraft inherited all of the best characteristics of its predecessor. The maximum speed has increased to 629 km/h while the climb rate has remained the same. There have also been no changes to the handling and maneuverability of the plane. This will be a very powerful weapon even if it is in the hands of an inexperienced pilot, so imagine what a real Samurai will be able to do with it!.
Today we are introducing a legendary amphibious soviet tank - the PT-76.
Vyacheslav Bulannikov, Game-designer.
The PT-76 is an amphibious tank that was put into service in the USSR in 1951. This legendary vehicle will join rank IV of the Soviet light tanks line. Though the tank is protected only by thin bullet-proof armour, its maneuverability, low profile and rapid firing gun will allow this machine to stand against the most dangerous of enemies. Basic ammo for this tank is post-war APCR round and a more powerful HEAT round will be able to penetrate up to 200mm of armour. Anticipating most popular question - will it be amphibious? Not at the start, but it is possible in the future.
Svetlana Smirnova, Artist:
The PT-76 was designed as an amphibious tank. Because of that, angles of the upper and lower armour plates of the tank’s hull are extremely large. The armour is very thin but if you are fortunate enough the tank may ricochet enemy rounds upwards into to the sky or to the ground. But of course this light vehicle should not rely solely on its armour. This machine is a very maneuverable (though not very fast) amphibious tank.
>In early 1946, an informal air-to-air combat evaluation was conducted at Patuxent River between an F8F-1 and one of the Navy's P-80s...
For those that haven't read it, please take a look at this great assessment of the F8F-1 versus the P-80. Against reasonably skilled pilots even the F8F-1 was no match against a jet so long as they didn't turn, as the report indicates.
Putting the F8F at 7.0 is madness. I think the F8F is often outmatched by the Tempest II - they want to send it against MiG-9s, Meteors, and Hortens basically 100% of the time.
Can't remember if it was this one, but that hull originally had a bow MG, they modified the design ~~but kept the MG guy there wither for balance or generally to help with the tank operations~~. This might instead have been about some other tank (Edit. S35, radio operator), but I have a vague memory of the fact.
In case anyone’s wondering, that particular AMX 50, the AMX 50 Surbaissé (also the only one that was preserved), has two 9-round autoloaders
And yet, Kiwi, Boris and I believe the folks behind Epic Thunder have all gotten support from the freaking sound dudes at gaijin for help with making their sound mods work nicely with the engine. They infact DO allow sound mods to be used.
Though of course I did some digging. Here is a statement by Senio, an administrator over on the forums or their CTO over at moddb in regards to boris sound mod
If you have the replay file (http://warthunder.com/en/tournament/replay/), share a link so people can watch that. 8 kills is pretty rare in an Air RB match.
EDIT: Here it is - http://warthunder.com/en/tournament/replay/page/221093019339559696
The changes aren't really sneaky for the most part, they were listed (all be it vaguely) was in the patchnotes.
>Specific errors have been fixed, armouring details have been improved as well as improvement on the layout of modules and components for the following vehicles: IS-2 mod.44, Т-34-85 (all modifications), Т-44, Maus, Leopard I, M60, Т-54 mod.47, Т-34-100, Pzkpfw V (all modifications), Panzerjager IV L48, M3 Lee, IS-4М, Т-10М, Т-54 mod.51, Ferdinand, Pz.kpfw 35(t).
At a quick glance it looks like the mantle on the Panther D and A has been slightly tweaked and sideskirts modeled for all variants of the Panther, the gun mounting on the Jagdpanzer IV seems to be more complexly modeled. For the M3 Lee the frontal armour now appears to be modeled in segments and increased complexity ~~on the turret, mantles and casement~~ all round to be honest. If I'm wrong on any of these don't hesitate to say, my memory is awful.
I think you might have a typo-it is the he177, not the he117 AFAIK. However, that and the hs-123 are in the release tree, but not the other two.
It is in beta - a lot of things that are in game already are still work in progress and a lot of things are not there yet. We don't plan to wipe the progress. Here is the roadmap of what is planned to be finished before game release.
Dear Players!
Currently, there may be issues when trying to connect to the War Thunder game servers or forums, due to an aggeressive DDoS attack against our servers. We're working to resolve this issue as soon as possible and thank you for your patience and understanding.
We will keep you updated about the situation.

However, they stuck in the P-51B and C variants in too... I don't want to research 5 P-51s, especially the earlier, lower performance variants...
In the “Weapons of Victory” major update, we will be introducing a unique new vehicle - a multiple artillery rocket system! We have been working on these types of machines for quite a while and the first one will be the premium Callioppe Sherman which will join the second rank of U.S. ground forces tree.
Alexander Polyakov, lead programmer:
Many tanks require a lot of additional effort from programmers, the Callioppe required even more. This MRLS needed big changes in the armament code. But now we can definitely say that after reworking and implementing the code for the Callioppe we can now introduce even more different and interesting vehicles.
Vyacheslav “BVV_d” Bulannikov, game designer:
This is our first experience in introducing a MRLS into the game. This vehicle has guide rails for 114 mm M8 rockets mounted on a M4 tank turret. This rocket launcher system allowed fire not only from a defilade position but also from point-blank range. In the early versions, the main gun could not be utilised until the rocket rails had been unmounted, in the game, we have a later version which doesn’t have these issues. So, once all the rockets have been fired, the Callioppe may continue to fight as a standard tank.
Svetlana Smirnova, Lead Artist:
This vehicle would be a simple sherman if there wasn’t a multi rocket system installed on the turret. Horizontal aiming is done via the traverse of the turret. Elevation is linked to the tank weapon which is linked to the rocket launcher using a special rigid strut.

haha :D I almost appended this little snippet (from the model design pdf) to the cockpit bug report like "wtf mates?"
Sounds really nice:

The x2 RP bonus is only on for specific times this weekend:
> From 02:00 to 06:00 GMT and from > 16:00 GMT to 19:59 on August 9th and 10th
>Almost every player, who has fought a battle on the more maneuverable ground vehicles, has faced a situation where it becomes hard to both control your vehicle and conduct aimed fire during the heat of the battle. In reality these two tasks were done by different members of the crew, allowing each to focus on their own job. In War Thunder, though, everything requires the direct control from the player and in many cases this leads to the fact that it is much more difficult for player to complete both of them.
>Introducing the new "driver" mode! In this mode, your vehicle will be controlled by the driver, who will steer based on your commands and at the same time will attempt to develop the highest possible speed. Currently, the operation of it will work like this - you can enable this feature at any time by holding the right mouse button, at that point the current position of the cursor will be defined as "neutral", small changes in the mouse position relative to this direction will give orders to the driver to turn the vehicle. In this mode you can continue to travel through the battlefield as well as performing never-ending maneuvers around the enemy vehicles while maintaining aimed fire on them.
>Test the new mode in battle and post your observations, suggestions and comments on the forum!

You're correct, it's supposed to be 8 degrees of gun depression.
I had a copy of men of war assault squad 2 gifted and never really played it. The tank combat, although not like war thunder exactly, you can control individual tanks and from what I can tell so far, has a pretty good damage model.
Plus if you (or the enemy) take damage like the tracks, you tell a crew guy to do it and he jumps out of the tank and starts repairing. Same for critical hits, the tank crew bails and you can mow them all down. COOP and MP and mods available.
It's from Operation S.U.M.M.E.R. Everyone who completed two tasks (not two marks, but two tasks) got one of these once 125,000 total tasks were completed (which was a couple days ago). We also broke the 300,000 mark, so everyone with two marks completed should get a "Follow me, comrades!" title that they can use.
This is a server update that will be implemented on the game servers within 24 hours. During this time, bug reports regarding specifics mentioned here and their effect in a battle will not be considered as a bug and as such will not be taken into consideration.
New Top Tier MM will try to "balance teams".
This is applied in 3 groups:
In theory, flying at 7.7 BR, in 3 matches you should have 1 Game in each group.
There is a Q&A here.
The "War Crime" Panther wasn't actually one, as it never engaged the enemy while in US markings. /u/The_Chieftain_WG has debunked this several times, including an excellent Chieftain's Hatch on it.
As to your question, these vehicles don't bear the markings of the enemy, so it would be perfectly legal to engage the enemy with them. The practical reason not to do so is that fielding a vehicle that looks like an enemy is just begging for friendly fire incidents.
Step 1: Realise the game has a 14+ year old age limit.
Step 2: Uninstall the game.
Just kidding ofc :) Strikaaa explained it quite well! But heres a link to Gaijins page about it http://warthunder.com/en/news/2912-special-pokryshkin-s-p-39-en
I'm super excited for naval warfare as well, and that Swordfish v Bismarck sounds like a fun event. Aircraft carriers are going to be in here is a screenshot from WT from a long time ago, I imagine they'll work like aircraft carriers in Battlestations: Pacific where the player controlling the carrier launches flights of AI controlled planes at designated targets. Submarines I've heard mixed reports about I really hope they make it in though, there are a lot of very interesting subs as well as a lot of interesting ASW aircraft/ships/weapons.
Most modern cards do. Especially custom cards (ones with triple fans that are extra long, for example) sag a lot. Even out of the box, there is a slight but noticeable droop of the card. It only gets worse the longer you let it happen, I have an old, 2-pound GPU from 2015 with a solid steel backplate, and even that one has noticeable sag after years of sitting in my case without additional support.
It's not too surprising, these cards can weigh upwards of 3 pounds and the only thing holding them in place is a piece of the motherboard and some screws on the back of the case.
Fortunately there are good ways to solve this problem, and, at least relative to the price of cards, they're a cheap and worthy investment:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076GYL25H/
IMO it's just a matter of time before GPU manufacturers catch onto this problem and start shipping cards with support brackets to prevent sag of their cards. Hasn't happened yet though.
Ammunition bug reports are a pain in the ass now that you require two (or more) agreeing sources
Time to start reading Preparatory Manual of Black Powder and Pyrotechnics and The Preparatory Manual of Explosives
It's not like you couldn't know:
> Italian aircraft will become available in the closed beta test after the release of War Thunder update 1.69 Regia Aeronautica”. The first players who will be able to test Italian aviation will be the ones who complete special marathon tasks or purchase early access packs in our online store.
According to their CEO, nothing was changed in coding of RP income, only visual representation as well as displays in data notes are altered. It happened when gaijin announced the change to talisman/premium RP display.

It's in every TOS dude, trust me I get what you're saying but at least educate yourself on the normal video game Terms of Service.
It's entirely within the right and always has been - for any game that has any social or multiplayer aspect to it.
Dear players,
According to the user agreement (http://warthunder.com/en/support/eula/) modification of the game client files is prohibited and can lead to the the blocking of a game account.
We understand the interest of the players for modification of sounds/audio which are not giving any game advantages and only influences the perception of the game. Players using such modifications are purposefully not punished by us, but remember that the installation of any mods is at the player's own risk.
Modifications can harm your computer or cause the appearance of game client errors, and in some cases lead to the blocking of a game account.

Here's the link to the Q&A, if you ctrl+F "M103" it'll take you right to the question and answer you're looking for, and that they guy you replied to is referencing.
BVV_d's explanation refers more to ricochet mechanics, how APC/APCBC ricochets less than AP/APBC does, rather than penetration, which makes me think that either he didn't understand the question or that Gaijin is possibly avoiding answering the penetration question for one reason or another.
Changes in Flight Models
http://warthunder.com/en/news/551/current/ - they've extended the server times- Yay!
"Current schedule of tank events on Production server (GMT): from 00:01 to 04:00 and from 12:00 to 20:00 every day"
They just did a commemoration for Roll on the Ace of the Month. Link here It was very honest and painted him in a good light (even though he was successful against Russians). I rather doubt your theory is why in this case, but I do suspect with Nazi's they are more careful about what media, pictures, etc.. they 'support'.
There is a video at the bottom of the page with updates now. ( This video ) It shows what damage your last shot did.
Edit: I just tested it in battle and it also shows hits that bounced. No further information or anything, just the point where the round bounced off.

And countless more, if you want me to link them as well. So, please provide me proof of your comment in turn, as I see nothing that backs up your claim. Because yes, people should be compensated for things they likely spent money for. It's not wrong at all to ask for some small form of compensation. They don't have to be completely compensated, but something would be nice??
As for your claim, I see no evidence whatsoever to back up your claims, so I'd say you're full of it.
According to LinkedIn he was the Executive Producer since late 2012 and a game designer of Gaijin's earlier flight sims.
So, before coming here to complain, you did follow the rules outlined here and report him and the other cheaters, right?
Also did you try messanging the tech support mods and their assistants on the forum? (Following the process described here. Section: "I saw a cheater: a player firing with incredible accuracy, seeing everything in markerless mode, etc.")
Cheaters do get banned in WT, as evidenced by a bunch of posts on this subreddit, you just have to use the proper channels to get Gaijins attention.
> The problem is that some people are afraid that if you limit discussion on hacks and then you might start limiting discussion on the game's faults which isn't fair.
We actually has full rules, license for youtubers. http://warthunder.com/en/support/forstreamer/
We were not asking community to change it. It already has all required terms. Do not violate EULA, do not lie, do not say you are Gaijin employee, i.e. do not pretend to be "official". That's it!
It is already there! And it is 100% reasonable. There is NOTHING in EULA that says "you can not discuss the game". Say whatever shit you want about it.
But don't you know, use it in sex offending, in advertisement of other software, in selling drugs, don't encourage others to violate laws or EULA, etc, etc. It is not unreasonable. It has nothing to do with censorship. It is pretty clear for everyone what is allowed and what is not.
Or it should be OK to make video based on our content which can not be even posted on this reddit, because it directly violates even this reddit's rules? (we don't set those rules, btw. I also have been moderated on this subreddit personally).
3 years and level 19? You must play very irregularly.
Yeah you don't play regularly at all according to this, also it's more like slightly over 2 years: http://warthunder.com/en/community/userinfo/?nick=johnmoore_
For the record- Gaijin posted a very in depth explaination of why they did this.
The basics of it are thus; In real life, our eyes have a much greater field of view and acuity than can be conveyed in the (comparatively) small amount of pixels we have on screen. With the amount of pixels we have, aircraft wouldn't even be remotely visible at a fraction of the range they are now, wheras in real life it's possible to make out distinguishing features of aircraft at a much greater range. Their solution to this is to put a silhouette of the aircraft, more akin to what you would see in real life with our visual capabilities, over the top of the otherwise indistinguishable dot. It's a compromise between reality, and the limitations of the game & display medium.
From the devblog linked above; "More than anything, game cameras are reminiscent of the image that action cameras such as the GoPro provide. If you want, you can easily find various videos shot from such cameras on YouTube, and take a look at how small the people look at just a few meters.
Naturally, at such a viewing angle, an aircraft at four kilometers on a full HD monitor is about four pixels wide and only half a pixel tall – in other words, it disappears from view. And even from two kilometers, the aircraft has a wing thickness of significantly less than a pixel, while the fuselage is around one pixel. This means that with an ordinary game camera, an aircraft will start to flicker and disappear at a distance of two kilometers and will fully disappear by four kilometers."
Now to be honest, I think this is a really fucking awesome way of compromising between reality and virtual reality. If you want aircraft to disappear at 4km and be practically invisible at 2km, (and everyone threw a hissy when dot visibility range dropped slightly, remember), then feel free to voice that opinion. But it won't be popular.
As far as i remember, the E-4 didn't had bullet-proof front glass (or any other kind of bullet proof glass) so far, as it only had an armoured backrest and headrest - which seemed to be fully implemented right in the game anyway.
The Bf 109 E-7 finally additional introduced also the frontal bullet-proof glass. ^It ^was ^stated ^so ^even ^in ^the ^Devblog. ^^[1]
Only about 26% of the planes in game are Russian. Granted they still have more than any other country its because of all the useless repeats it has, like the 6 different I-16s, the 4-5 SB2Ms, the multiple Pes, Yers etc.
But compared to WoWP, WT has a way larger diversity of aircraft; hands down not even comparable.
I've been playing both for a number of years and it's just apples and oranges really. They both have their fair share of problems.
The premium problem was real but it seems to have been toned down a lot since the Chrysler GF fiasco (which to be fair, was a pretty bad tank, the armour was broken but the gun was utter shit), and the Nameless and Edelweiss are Asia server only and hopefully stay that way and as an owner of both the Nameless is definitely OP but the Edelweiss is pretty meh.
Wargaming are hard-pressed when it comes to nerfing premiums due to the T26E4 "Super Pershing" fiasco years ago, they offered people their money back for the vehicles full price in premium currency after nerfing it.
And to be fair they have listened to community feedback before, the infamous "pay-to-win" decals were removed from the game before they were even added due to community outrage. The problem seems to be that their main studio is in Russia and as such they mostly only seem to answer and listen to their Russian players more often. Wargaming NA are very vocal with their players but unfortunately they're not the main studio so they can only pass along suggestions to the main studio in Cyprus.
Unfortunately I can't play as often since 1.0 dropped as my load times are insanely long and by the time I'm in game my team is in the middle of the map. I've only had War Thunder to keep me occupied and right now the P-47's and .50 cal spam is making me wanna neck myself.
It seems that based on this, they intend to implement the T28 (only the inner pair of tracks) and T95 (full set of tracks) as two separate vehicles. Not sure how that's gonna work out, given that the idea is pretty WG-esque stupid.
Glad to see the Skyraider is here though :D
