I'm surprised IFTTT hasn't been mentioned yet. It's an app that combines many services together and let's you get creative with them in a very user-friendly interface.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt
You can use the applet id 57612152d to use mine or you can make your own:
Download the IFTTT app.
Open it and register.
Tap the "+" in the upper right corner to make a new applet
Tap "+ this" and select reddit
Select "New hot post in subreddit" and enter "uplifting news" (The title of my post is actually wrong, it should say "hot" instead of "top")
Tap "+ that" and select "Android Wear"
Select "Send notification"
Make it appear the way you want. I entered "Good news, everyone!" before the [Title] placeholder and removed the content of the "image URL" field
Enjoy some positive news throughout the day
Mhhh, looks like a much more limited version of IF by IFTTT - any reason to pick this over the other?
Also, this Hook unlock isn't account-bound and won't survive a re-install or switching devices.
IF by IFTTT can do the same and a lot more and isn't just limited to Android but a platform-independent service.
Since it's entirely server und push based it also has the enormous benefit of not waking the Android device every 15 minutes (configurable) and guzzling a bunch of mobile data and battery power in the process. [Seriously, doing multiple Reddit searches every 15 minutes from a mobile device should have a more than insignificant impact on both].
Since IF is more flexible and less focused on this specific task, it may be a tiny bit harder to set up but it's far from difficult to use.
I don't mean to be too harsh on this app, I'm sure it is well designed and has its use cases. But there are more elegant solutions to the problem in my eyes.
Or IF by IFTTT which with a recipe pulls wallpapers from /r/wallpaper (or your choice of sub reddit for that matter).
Edit: The recipe - Set my Android wallpaper to the best posts in /r/wallpapers. https://ifttt.com/recipes/173313?z=3183217
Alright, I can sort through the beginning of the story. I looked up the App called IF by IFTT. I understand what it does now, and I understand what your recipe means as well as the beginning of The Phenomenon.
However, I do not understand your parent's or your brother's reactions. The only conclusion I got was that your brother got an email, posted something to Facebook, and then you felt the need to barge into everyone's bedrooms...for some reason.
I've used If This Then That (IFTTT) (Android link, it's also on iOS), which lets you set notifications for when a new post is made that fits a Reddit search. I've done it before when I was looking for an SSD and while you can't be so specific (most of the time it's not a great deal) it's not too much spam. No coding involved, you just have to learn the Reddit search phrases!
You could set up the app IFTTT a phone automation app, so that it texts her daily that you're fine or whatever. Just the same exact message. You can even set it up to trigger on key phrases you receive in texts, so if she always texts you something like, "so was your day alright?", It replies automatically "I'm fine mom"
You could also set up things like, if you Mom calls you, it automatically sends a text to your SO to warn them instantly, or if you enter or leave a location then it can text someone that you left work, or got home, you're at the strip club, you're in jail, etc. You know, things that your mom might be interested in, that you should in no way use in an entertaining way to give her an aneurysm.
It's like click, but better! You've just automated your entire relationship with your mother!
Same. If anyone else wants to set it up on Android you can download IFTTT and "add a recipe" where the trigger is a new hot post in /r/earthporn on your reddit app (if your reddit app doesn't work then you can download Now for Reddit which is what I have and I know it works) and the action is set new wallpaper.
Iirc you can do it via IFTTT. It's been more than 3 years I last tried their service. Back then it used to work fine with Facebook and Twitter. Just give it a try.
Look into an app called IFTTT. That stands for IF This Then That, and it essentially allows you to set triggers for all sorts of things. It links in to a bunch of the smart home stuff as well as things like reddit or your sms client. Its very handy even if you don't have a smart home.
Edit: App link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt&hl=en
Well, that is possible, but not with the tools I have posted (as far as I know). The way I have it setup now is that I have configured an applet in IFTTT to change the wallpaper to the dark one when the sun sets and back to the light one when the sun rises. I'm sure it's probably possible to configure more advanced behavior with something like Tasker, but I've not played with that yet.
Not exactly what you asked for, but with the app IFTTT (If This Then That) you can make a recipe that sends a notification every time a new post reaches the top of "hot" in a subreddit.
While it's not a birth control app per se, I use IFTTT (If This Then That) which is a fantastic free automation app to text myself a reminder every day at 6PM to take my pill.
Then I delete that text after I take it! I tried the alarm as most people are suggesting, but found I would just dismiss my alarm and forget about it. I switched to this app because getting a text gave me a record that didn't disappear unless I wanted it to!
Edit: Added the link!
This AskReddit thread has a lot of good replies to it.
My personal favorite however is the IFTTT (If This Then That) app. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt
> and when i am elsewhere try to connect to whatever one is available.
Do you mean to automatically connect to ANY open WiFi that you have never connected to before?
On a side note, You may want to check out the app IFTTT It has tons of 'recipes' you can set up...like 'turn wifi off when i leave my office' and 'Turn wifi on when I'm home'
Your best hope might be with IFTTT (if this then that). It lets you set up conditional actions. Don't think it'll be able to provide exactly what you want though, but you should mess around with it just to see
I assume these emails would come from the same address each time? If so, you could use If This Then That to alert you when you receive an email from that address. It will work with your gmail account if that's the address that would be receiving the notification emails. If it isn't, you could set a forward for your company email to your gmail, assuming that doesn't violate policy of course.
Or for Android, you can get an app called IF and set it so that if there's a new hot post in /r/erathporn, update device wallpaper.
I use https://www.worldcubeassociation.org/rss and IFTTT on my phone for the same effect.
Any reason you don't want to share the script openly?
You need If This Then That. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt
Set up a rule to notify you when your device connects to that network. Obviously won't work if you're not in range of the WiFi
IFTTT which is free and stands for If This Then That. Tasker which is $3
These are both automation apps used to do things like this.
There are subreddits for both of these: r/IFTTT and r/tasker.
I haven't used either of these but I believe they would work for what you want to do without root. They are powerful apps, and should be even more powerful with root. I know tasker is since it mentions root in it's description several times.
You can use the app IFTTT for sending all your SMS to email.
IFTTT Download link https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt&utm_source=/&utm_medium=web
IFTTT SMS to Email Applet https://ifttt.com/applets/176809p-sms2email-forward-your-text-messages-to-your-email
Create an account at IFTTT. You'll also need the app on your phone.
Go to the website and click on My Applets. Then click New Applet. Click on "+this" in the "if this then that" statement. Search for Android and select "Android Device." Scroll down until you see "Connects or disconnects from any WiFi network" or "Disconnects from any WiFi network" depending on which you want to track. You can also just track disconnections to a specific WiFi network.
Then you'll need to click on "+that" and search for Sheets. Click on Google Sheets and select "Add row to spreadsheet." Then click "Create Action" and then "Finish."
Now, every time your phone connects/disconnects to any network or specific network (whichever you selected) it will add a row to a Google Sheet saved in your Google Drive.
For complex scheduling of tasks/automation If This Then That might be cool to look at: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt&hl=en
I think Firefox is the best mobile browser because it has extensions such as uBlock Origin for ad blocking even on Android.
So. This took a while and also didn't work quite as planned.
But I've been using IFTTT with an applet to let me know when a certain reddit user posts.
And that has been working wonderfully.
Sorry you had that problem. I haven't had any issues, other than my bloated Steam library with indie games I'm never going to play. But here are my steps:
Look at an app called IFTTT.
It's an amazing app where you can do logic statements do very powerful things.
For example when I setup some of the following tasks:
1) When I finish a trip in my car IFTTT is linked to the Automatic App and will log the trip in my Google Drive.
2) When a new 500px editors background wallpaper of the day changes it will update my background on my phone
3) When I get in the neighborhood of my buddy it texts him that I'm almost there and to unlock the door.
4) When I connect to my home wifi disable bluetooth connection.
I also have an Onhub at home and it has direct integration with that and many other IoT devices to do some amazing stuff.
Ha thanks. It works really well. I ordered one of those new echo dots to control the lights I'm excited to try it out, but have to wait a month for it to arrive.
Look into an app called ifttt (if this then that) here is a link to it on Google play they have it on Apple too. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt
You can add a lot of functionality to alexa with it, and that is how I get the hue lights to interact with the baby monitor.
Check out IFTTT. You can download recipes that do different things. I have one that turns wifi off when I leave the house and then turns it back on when I come back home. Just uses location.
If you don't mind giving a service access to the account, you can use a service like IFTTT paired with their IF app for Android. You link your gmail account using Google's OAuth2 protocol, then create a "recipe." Choose Gmail/Any Email in the Inbox for the trigger, and for the action choose "IF Notifications." Now when you get an email on this account, you'll get a notification on your phone. It may not be as fast as if you had the account on your phone, but it works for keeping the account off the device and is a trusted service.
here you kind of go, if you have android that is. You need to do a little work to learn how to use the app. But when you do, you can link up all the actions of your apps to trigger one an other. Or better yet, just download some profiles others made for you!
You can try IF. You can set it up to change the wallpapers every couple of hours. You can set it to get the wallpapers from /r/EarthPorn.
You should be able to use IFTTT to do this but as far as a simple setting and no 3rd party app goes as to where it saves the file to, no I don't think so.
Yup. I was never a fan of "play music" anyway, as it was always kind of annoying for music to start up on connect.
The "keep quiet" functionality is much more easily duplicated and much more comprehensive with something like IF
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt&hl=en
It's a fantastic android app . You can create "recipes" to perform tasks for you. Most of mine are based on where I am.
For example, I have one that automatically turns my ringer off and sets my phone to vibrate when I get to work. Another that turns my wifi on/off when I arrive/leave home.
There are bunches of pre-made recipes you can use or you can create your own. It's also very user friendly.
Edit: I believe there is also a dedicated subreddit, though I think it's named after the previous title, IFTTT
It's kind of a roundabout method, but you could set it to send you email alerts, then set up IFTTT to trigger an Android alert whenever you receive an email alert for a Twitch stream.
> How so?
Using IFTT with a recipe that's "if (new post in /r/earthporn) then (update device wallpaper)" I'll put a link to the recipe up later
It's something else called IFTTT. It can do tons of other stuff too so play around with it.
The If This Then That app might work. I know they have a Space channel. I use it to change my background to the astronomy pic of the day.
IF - an app that automates virtually any task on your phone (for example upload any picture taken automatically to Dropbox)
Links: App Store - Google Play
For the routines thing, there are several options. One is called IFTTT which needs an account but is very user friendly. At very other end of the scale is Tasker which can do almost anything you can think of, but has a very steep learning curve.
Dis claimer that I have had Samsungs for the last two phones so I have also relied on Bixby Routines, so it has been years since I used either of these apps.
I figured out a way to get automated emails from this subreddit. Download IFTTT from the Google Play Store and create a Reddit applet that will send an email if the post contains "DotD". Or you can create one if there is a new hot post, or any new post at all. Example: https://imgur.com/a/LHiF9ut
Hey, so I realize this is an old post, but in case you're still interested I have an idea.
In the app IFTTT you can create an applet to send a command to Alexa.
IFTTT doesn't have manual shortcuts or a trigger for SleepAsAndroid, but you can set up a trigger to activate when Automate posts a notification with specific text in it, like "RunAlexaRoutine" and then run a service like "Alexa Actions by mkZense" to send a command to Alexa directly.
Then you can just set up an Automate flow to post a notification with the trigger word when the alarm goes off, which will trigger the routine.
If you've never used IFTTT or need help let me know.
Yes, Tasker can do that easily.
However if you need it just for such a simple task you may try IFTTT https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt
There are a number of apps available that let your phone automatically do things when certain conditions are met. I.e. I've also set my phone to start an audio recording when the gyrometer senses that it's been placed face down, and to stop the recording when it's turned back face up.
The one I've been using is IFTTT: (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt)
There's also Automate and Tasker, that I know of, which are more powerful, but also more complex and difficult to learn.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt&hl=en_GB
This is an app to your Android phone. You will use it to get the applets and then google mini will use your phone just for the initial command or routine. It will find or stream from internet direct without using your phones battery. I believe you missing the door to IFTTT, which in my understanding is this Android app. I know you original idea is to get it on your computer, but some apps/features like REVOLUT, facebook market are not available on windows, ubuntu or apple. You may need to use some additional android launchers to get it on the laptop. but to be honest. IFTTT is built to be mobile and always spy on your every step. So if you paranoid about your privacy, don't open this Pandora box, but if you don't give a ... like me, enjoy the benefits it offers. It used to grind my gears when I go to work, join the meeting and someone phones me and everyone can hear my stupid ringtone. Opposite example, I go home, my phone usually has 2% battery left I put it on charge upstairs and forget to put it on loud. My brother phones my wife and after half an hour finally contacts me. He is already in rage & just because my stupid phone has been on silent while charging. This is gone now. IFTTT is allowed to follow my location and every time I arrive at work it goes automatically on silent and it goes on loud when I leave my workplace. F...ing simple & smart. Honestly, I am using it for past 4 days and it's changing my life. I can bet it will be used for target advertising and all sorts of ways to get my money, but if someone/something offers me stress free life, I am willing to send them a picture of my card and whisper them the 3 digit code at the back.
Nothing. Almost nothing. IFTTT tries to do the bare minimum.
We also have some die hard fans of Automate. The apps looks a bit old but though released in 2014 the developer is still maintaining it to this day. This is the closest that comes on the Android world. But yeah it still doesn't beat the Workflow.
IFTTT has a few applets that will turn on WiFi and turn off mobile data when you enter a certain location or at a certain time.
Here it is: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt
> IFTTT
I've been seeing this a lot around this sub. I tried googling it and still not sure what it is. Should I just download this app --> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt&hl=en ?
I personally use IFTTT for automatically setting my phone to silent, but I it triggers when I enter a geographical location. I'm sure that it can set the phone to silent based on the time though.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt
If my comment is not the correct format I apologise. This is the first comment I have posted on Reddit.
I have it set up on my phone to do that using the IFTTT app. For example say you wanted to be notified for new posts on /r/gamedeals that contain the words 'free' and 'steam', add a new applet using Reddit > New post from search, set the search criteria to title:'free' title:'steam' subreddit:gamedeals
, and set it to give you a notification when the applet is activated.
There's also a web-based version that can notify you in other ways, e.g. by email, if you don't want to use your phone for the notifications.
good question, gonna look into it.
Not a shot at you, but first google search: https://ifttt.com/applets/235137p-reddit-new-posts-in-subreddit-notification
and here is the app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt&hl=en&rdid=com.ifttt.ifttt
I just installed it and tried it, ill post an update when a post is made.
KDO : https://ifttt.com/ https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt&hl=fr
You could use if this then that. I'll put the link in an edit here in a second.
Edit: Here's the app. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt&utm_source=/&utm_medium=web I know there's some fancy bot that you can request apps links for, but I'm a rookie so I have to do my stuff old school.
It is an online archive of actions and presets for smart devices, giving them more functionality and more connections between devices. IFTTT even caters to Google Assistant and Amazon Alexia. I would highly recommend that you create an account and explore what they have to offer.
Link to IFTTT via the Play Store
Spotify doesn't have something like this built in, but you can use something like IFTTT on Android to stop playback after a set amount of time.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt&hl=en
Do you plug in your phone when you go to bed? IFTTT will help. It will create a Google spreadsheet entry every time you charge your Android device
For IFTTT, you first need to install it one of your devices or sign up on their website. Then, within the app, there's an option to connect it to your amazon echo.
Once the channel is set up, it's really easy to get it going with some cool stuff, especially if you have other IFTTT devices, like Hue lights.
Here's a list of popular commands others have made. If you wanted to, you can make your own too. It's super simple and no programming required.
ITTT is great for this. Setups are called recipes and they can automatically pull from various sources for wall paper. I use /r/earthporn
Check out the app IFTTT for iOS / IFTTT for Android. It will allow you to get a notification when there's a chance of rain. There are also a lot of other cool things you can do with that app--I'm sure you'll love it. Also subscribe to /r/IFTTT
IF by IFTTT is an Android app that automates your life by means of user-made "recipes". Examples: Every weekday at 21:00, mute ringtone; Text SO when I get home; Notify of every new post in /r/insertsubhere; etc.
This should work, but if it doesn't, there's always IFTTT, which will allow you to turn off your ringer/vibration for a set period, say 12am to 8am.
I didn't actually realise that location had to be on. I guess that's why my battery had been draining like crazy for the past four months... which happens to be the amount of time I've had my Activite. D'oh.
As to solutions: If you wanted to you could only switch on location once a day to sync the day's data, then switch it off for the remainder of the day. A bit more effort, I know. If you're nifty with these things, maybe you could build an IFTTT recipe to switch on location at a certain time each day and switch it off again half an hour later or so.
I can still get by with one full charge a day, but if you can't I understand that it's a problem :/
Get the IFTTT app and make/login to your account and connect your services, including the LG phone channel if you want. You can create If triggers and followup actions to automate certain tasks.
If This Then That (IFTTT)
Turn a light in your house from red to blue when you get an email, automatically disable WiFi on your phone upon leaving your house and re-enable it again once when you're back. Sychronized profile picture uploading across every social media account. (upload a picture to facebook, it auto-uploads it to everything else you choose, ex. snapchat, instagram, twitter, and even wayyyy lesser known apps.
You can even use it to automatically send a text message to people when you miss their calls.
These are just minor examples, this app could be limitless if you use it correctly.
It allows you to create events that triggers at specific things. I have set it to notify me if it's going to rain tomorrow, to disable my lock screen password if i'm at home, and to change my background picture to 500px's Editors choice whenever a new one is published.
You can make tons of different combinations depending on what you're looking for.
You could check IF by IFTTT. There's an option to create a recipe like this
If Android Photos (New screenshot), then whatever is available
For example, I could send a push notification through Pushbullet with the attached screenshot whenever a new one comes in. You could also choose to send the screenshot via an email, or another channel.
Now, the only remaining thing to do would be to find a program to make screenshot at a defined interval.
Maybe an antomation app like Tasker (and probably a screenshot plugin) could do the job.
TL:DR: Use an automation app to make a screenshot, let IF by IFTTT intercept the screenshot operation and send it through whatever mean.
IF Formally known as IFTTT. You create conditional connections that can work in the background or send push notifications. It even has reddit integration
Example: If its going to rain today send me a text. If top post in /r/norwaypics than set it as phone background
Install IFTT
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt
and use this recipe:
https://ifttt.com/recipes/164503-upload-your-android-photos-to-google-drive
Then every time you take a photo it will automatically send the photo (uncompressed) to your Google Drive account.
Use IF app to log almost anything, including call logs and location in Google drive excel sheet. It does it automatically for you.
Link
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt
I don't know of an app that does this, but I do use a recipe on IFTTT that logs the time I started and ended and how many hours I worked. Then I tweaked the sheets page to calculate exactly Overtime insurance deductions and tax deductions, giving me an estimated total of what my check will look like. If I can figure out a way to share the excel file, I will. For now I can link IFTTT, and an app I used to calculate the tax deductions from my check before.
Use IF by IFTT, I use it for turning off mobile data and sound completely on my phone when I get to school. There's probably a premade profile for it, and if not its easy to make one. It works with 5.1 as far as I know.
Yeah! It's just an app called "IF" by If This Then That. You can set a "recipe" that detects when a new post reaches the front page of /r/EarthPorn and it sets it as your phone wallpaper. There's lots of other recipes, but that's all I use it for :).
It's nice to have a completely new background everyday, although obviously some weren't designed to be phone wallpapers so can look a bit uninteresting.
Edit: I've received a lot of questions and PM's asking for further help with this (sorry, us Australians are asleep at peak reddit times). I'm no expert but I'll outline how I make do.
This is the app I use, but there are others such as muzei which is outlined by others below. Once downloaded go to add a new recipe and search for earthporn. There should be several that do the trick, the one I use is called "Set my Android wallpaer to top post in reddit /r/EarthPorn". In this recipe you can also choose a different subreddit to get the images from depending on what you're...... in to. Now it probably won't change your wallpaper instantly, so wait a few hours or a day or something and you should be right. Can't say I've noticed any change in battery or data consumption, although obviously it will increase it a bit.
There is an iphone alternative, however it will not actually set the images as your wallpaper, only save them to your album
Apparently we've crashed ittt's website, so that's a good result from a post I thought would get downvoted to oblivion!
And sorry to those I've seemingly offended by my pleb icons. The image was actually of my apps drawer which I rarely use, not my homescreen which is slightly more acceptable. I download and then delete apps a lot, but in the apps drawer they don't move to fill the gap so yes, I have like 12 pages but most of those pages only have like 2-6 apps on them and I just put all the games and apps I use on my homescreen.
These were the most upvoted last time i saw this thread. Good stuff.
Seems like something IFTTT could implement, if not, already handle.
Well, I just used IFTTT.com. Create an account and follow its guides on hooking up recipes. There is also a mobile app. Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt IOS: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/if-by-ifttt/id660944635?mt=8
Here are the recipes I used for the reddit saves.
When a reddit post is saved, enter a row into a Google Drive sheet with its info. https://ifttt.com/recipes/143871?z=4076558
And
Keep log of what you like on Reddit https://ifttt.com/recipes/133088?z=4076558
Hope that helps!
set up an IFTTT script to automatically do it for you so you don't have to wake up.
EDIT: since everyone is asking IFTTT (If This Then That) is a smart phone app on Android and IOS. It works simply by making simple scripts where IF a certain condition has been met, THEN a certain action is done.
Simply download the app and setup a script that simply checks whether is 3:00AM, then send SMS to tacobell. Easy as 1,2, 3.
EDIT 2: Courtesy of /u/a_persian a recipe for the PS4 give away. Just change the time you want it to send at. Apparently the automatic SMS function only works on Android devices. https://ifttt.com/recipes/336031-enter-code-in-taco-bell-ps4-giveaway
Setup a weather recipe with IF
IFTTT can notify you when a reddit post contains a keyword in the title
You can get notifications using If This Then That and Pushbullet
Download IFTTT (now called IF) and Pushbullet if you don't already have them (you should, they're really useful)
Go to http://www.facebook.com/notifications, log in, and click Get Notifications via RSS. Then copy that URL of the RSS feed to your clipboard
Open IFTTT, and tap the little mortar and pestle icon in the top right
Tap the plus button in the top right, then the black plus circle in the bottom right
Set the first trigger to "Feed" by tapping the blue plus and scrolling to the RSS icon (under Feed, not RSS)
Tap the plus next to "New Feed Item" and paste the url you got from facebook
Now, choose the "Then" action - the thing that will happen when this RSS feed is updated by tapping the second plus sign, and scrolling to Pushbullet. Choose "Push a link."
Now, when you get a notification for Facebook, a link to that notification will be pushed to your phone. The first time a link comes, choose Tinfoil as the default app to open it.
Hope this helps - let me know if something is unclear or doesn't work
You can do this with ifttt
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt
It can talk to your Google assistant a lot more
You should be able to do that with IFTTT.
I use IFTTT with this applet.
How does Pushbullet work with Tinfoil?
Edit: seems like the answer

IFTTT with reddit applets. I have an applet to upload my upvoted images to Google Photos.

Use IFTTT
If This Then That. Kind of like a remedial Tasker. Get the formula that turns up the volume when a specific person calls. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt

piggybacking off of /u/ShelobTheGreat's comment... you can create a dedicated twitter account, and install the App If this Then That (Android or iPhone... sorry Windows phones...) and create a recipe that will download anything posted to that twitter account to your phone.
Here's a recipe someone already made (for iPhone): https://ifttt.com/recipes/222718-ps4-screen-shots-save-to-your-iphoto

It sounds like you may need something like IFTTT. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt may be what helps.
I'd use IF and tell it when you enter a GPS area to remind you to turn off your headlights.
IFTTT is much better for that sort of thing, tbh. I can't fault them for dropping it.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt&hl=en
For Android https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt
Super useful for literally everything...
Also putting my vote in for IF by IFTTT: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt
Why does it have to be a widget?
IF might be able to do that.
There's a nice update to the core IF app, too. :)

You could try this app.
I would see if maybe IFTTT could do what you need.
check out IFTTT. should able to find an applet to at least send you an email every time a bike is posted
As some already said I set it up with IFTTT App. Here's a pic of the setup..
It's really easy to set up IFTTT to do this.

No but you could try the IFTTT app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt
SMS in general is questionable reliability. It was never designed with quality of service considerations.
But yeah, Verizon's Call forwarding FAQ says you cannot forward SMS, but instead recommends you setup a service called Messaging+ so that you can read your SMS online.
Here's some options:
Port the number to Google Voice. This a $20 one time fee. Google can then relay the messages to any phone number, let you read online, etc. This probably isn't an option since it is your employer's Verizon account.
Install a 3rd party app that lets you remotely read or sync SMS/MMS. There are lots of these, usually with the intent of reading/responding to SMS/MMS from your PC. Your phone has to be on for this to work, so plug your phone into an outlet and stick it on a shelf. (If you use enough chewing gum, you can save space by sticking it to the underside of the shelf.) Since you aren't forwarding the messages, only reading/syncing them remotely, you'll only get these messages when your Ting device has data.
Use an action based app like If-This-Then-That, Automate, or Tasker. Here's a recipe to forward texts using IFTTT. I haven't tested it. Like the above, you'll need to leave your phone on. The upside is the messages will actually be forwarded. The downside is they'll all appear to be sent from your Verizon phone, so you'll have to make sure your recipe/action adds some header text so you know who sent a message.
Carry both phones.
Convince your employer to let you port the work number to Ting. Create a Google Voice account and use the Google Voice number as your personal number. When you stop working for that employer, let them port the number back. Your personal contacts all have your Google Voice number, so it doesn't matter what the underlying device number is.
I would probably attempt the last option first. If that fails, I like the remote sync option best. Note that there are also IFTTT recipes for remote sync, so you could use IFTTT for both sync and forward.
I've used a Google Voice number as my primary number since shortly after Google bought Grand Central and rebranded it to Google Voice. I love this setup, since I can hop from one pre-pay provider to the other without having to port my number... Sometimes I even carry multiple SIMs (ex, if I go on vacation) and I can swap in the best sim for the situation.
Ifttt probably has a setting for that
Using a desktop try downloading from the google play website
IFTTT getting intent from Google Home and either using the notification channel (app required) or Pushbullet
Tasker or maybe Automate (it may work with Tasker plugins and it's easier to understand for beginners) listen for a notification from IFTTT with certain text or use Pushbullet and its plugin (either the integrated one or this one)
AnyMote or any IR blaster app with Tasker integration
You can't just use <strong>IF</strong> notifications?
You could probably do that with IF by IFTT https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt
Would you mind finding that on the play store and sending me the link?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt&hl=en
This is all i've found.
What does it do that I couldn't achieve with IF without the impact of running constant search queries from my device (data/battery)?
Try "if this then that"
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt
I'm actually not familiar with this app, but seems like exactly the kind of thing that IF would be able to do?
For my phone I use an app called IF (apple) (android). It is easy to set up and is one already made that you can just download for setting the wallpaper to earthporn.
For my desktot I used this. To use it you can download the script and download and install python and imagemagick and run the script once. From there you go to C:\Users\YouUserName\Wallpaper-Reddit\Config and edit the wallpaper-reddit.conf file and under [options] make subs = earthporn (you can put in as many subreddits as you like). I then put a copy of the script into my startup folder so that whenever I turn my computer on it updates my wallpaper. (I may have got some of that wrong so if it doesn't work just look over the GitHub page)
The app If this then that by IF. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt&hl=en
As an addition, if you use the app IF you can make your phone mute itself whenever an event on a Google Calendar is triggered https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt
IFTTT. Might be a little limited though.

The easiest way would be to use Google Assistant to take a note, "hey Google, take a note, hive number 65 is dead." He can access the notes by saying "hey Google, show my my notes" or go to https://assistant.google.com/lists
If you wanted to be a little more organized, you can use IFTTT (IF This, Then That) to create a Google drive spreadsheet and everytime you invoke the command, it'll add a new row. To do that, download the IFTTT app, then connect this applet.
If you want full control (but more complicated), you can create a Tasker command for almost anything, an example being like in this video.
This is all assuming that the smart watch has a mic that can relay the Google Assistant command to the android phone.
Have you tried IFTTT? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt

It doesn't integrate with google home directly, but it integrates with all the other devices like Hue, Smart Home and hundreds more. I have it set up on my watch to turn smart plugs in my home on and off, I can also control my Hue lights with my watch. Check out their website here: https://ifttt.com/
You might be able to do it with IFTTT (If This Than That). https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt
IFTTT can do the wifi thing For Example
Not a weather app, but If This.. can remind you
IFTTT is a powerful tool.
IFTTT is a program called If this, then that. It's basically a very simple code and the formula is this: "IF (something happens) THEN (do something else)" You can find it here:
web: https://ifttt.com/
Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt
iPhone: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/ifttt/id660944635
After creating an account, you will want to create your own applet. I think it's under "Explore" and then find the create your own at the top. This is what you would do.
IFTTT is a really powerful little service. I have smart lights at home, so when I plug in my phone at bed time, the lights turn off. I even have my lights blink blue when Domino's Pizza is on their way. A lot of fun and crazy things you can do with it once you've gotten the hang of it.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt
With this there's an option to backup all texts to Google Drive. Not sure if it can only be applied to a certain contact or not
I use IFTTT, connect my favorite rss feeds to files stored on Dropbox, which got sync to neutriNote.
My aggregate backend is basically:
IFTTT:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt
FolderSync:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dk.tacit.android.foldersync.lite
NeutriNote:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.appmindlab.nano
There's probably an applet that someone made for IFTTT (If This Then That).
Maybe If This Then That?
This is the answer here, just install IFTTT, connect your Wyze account to it then create some widgets.
There is an RSS feed which can be combined with an ifttt app that works in combination with creation of a free account on
to create "recipes" which can give you that result...
The main feed link for all new episodes.
http://feeds.feedburner.com/crunchyroll/rss
If you use this, you have one setup task and you're done. You will get everything that comes out, even surprises you didn't know were coming. But you would have to dismiss a lot you might not want to watch.
Or you can set up many separate triggers using each specific show page's RSS feed. That way you only get the notifications you want, but it's a lot more maintenance every quarter to set up every new show, and remove the old ones which are done.
For this, you go to the web show page and tack ".rss" on to the URL which gives you the feed page and use that to create a new ifttt feed. For example:
https://www.crunchyroll.com/dr-stone.rss
Android app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt
iTunes:
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/ifttt/id660944635
Final note if you're still reading and deciding which way to go, if you want one-piece notifications, you can only get those from the full feed, not the individual show pages because of the stupid way CR has their show page "seasons" set up.
Tasker is the only way I know of. Or actually maybe this will do it.
I have never tried what you're trying to do, but take a look at IFTTT.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt
Hmm i think you can set up the phone to auto do that. But I can't recall how. Lol.
However, you can also try this app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt
Yep! Check it out here.
I haven't used IFTTT in a while but that may have what you're looking for. Have you tried that yet? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt
Though I haven't used it personally, doesn't this sound like the description of IFTTT - Take a look at "IFTTT" https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt
Yes.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt
Once installed search for the recipe that changes android wallpapers to nasa pic of the day
seems like you can setup Triggers for Google Assistant for tasks/actions using IFTTT or Automate
You can save the posts you saved with the IFTTT App (also IOS) to a Google Spreadsheet..
Try out If This Then That
IFTTT is the first thing i had in mind. I don't know if there's any for iOS though.
>set your phone on a mount and use IFTTT to schedule your camera to take a pic after a certain amount of time
IF This Then That. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt
Why not use IFTTT? Use location based actions to enable and disable lots of things with no Root required
You'll need IFTTT for these to work:
To add an attachment to a Google Drive folder. Just edit the fields as per requirements.
To add an event to the calendar. Just edit the fields as per requirements.
needs to be done manually.
You can use the app IFTTT Hope i was helpful
I am not sure if it works but you can try this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt
i use IFTTT to change my wallpaper whenever reddit posts any new wallpaper in their wallpaper thread
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt&hl=en
I'm pretty sure there's a way to do it with this app.
Customize IF-THIS-THEN-THAT on your Smartphones to command your smart devices.
Create an applet with the IFTTT app you can set it to sent an email, for example, with the hot post at /r/writingprompts/
How about with ifttt?

Hey, guys. So I was reading up all these "How to turn on your PC with Alexa" thread. I was trying to find a way to do this without buying additional equipment and I have found one, however, it is not as instantaneous as I would like.
.
There are a few programs you need to download on your phone.
1. IFTTT - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt
2. WoL - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.uk.mrwebb.wakeonlan
3. Tasker - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.uk.mrwebb.wakeonlan
.
I will list out the step as follows:
1. go into your BIOS and enable Wake on Lan settings
2. go to WoL app and find your PC, once you find it, put your computer to sleep and see if WoL works.
3. go into Tasker and setup a new task, name it "turn on PC", add a "plug-in" and you should see WoL app
4. add WoL app in the task and change the variable to your computer
5. go into profile and add a new event, "SMS message", change variable on the "received from" field to your own contact number/name, this is your trigger
6. add the task "turn on computer" to associate with the trigger
7. go to IFTTT and create new recipe, IF "Alexa", "say a phrase", THEN send yourself an SMS
8. test if it works.
.
the path of command should be as follow:
.
voice command --> IFTTT ---> send SMS to phone ---> SMS trigger Tasker ----> Tasker trigger WoL
.
Pros:
no additional equipment needed
.
Cons:
not instant response, have to wait till your phone receive SMS
you will get an SMS every time you turn on your computer
Another alternative is use ITTT + PushBullet
(or just ITTT alone and it will e-mail or txt you) https://ifttt.com/recipes/search?q=cubs
Could it maybe be done with IF by IFTTT?
Not sure how reliable their email notification is, but if you have Gmail, you can label all subjects containing "____ just went live on Twitch" with Twitch. Then use ifttt and setup a trigger when there's a new email with this Twitch label. You'll also need the ifttt app (android / iOS) on your phone for notifications to work.
I haven't tested it, but it would be something like this
Do you know of IF?
It can do some pretty amazing things using a ton of these different APIs; twitter being one of them.
No, it's called IF. The company is IFTTT, and IF is based off of If This Than That recipes.
Link for the lazy.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt
The reddit channel on IFTTT only allows to monitor a specific subreddit for new/hot posts. I guess you could create multiple recipes (one for each subreddit) and update your phone wallpaper with these.
You could go like that
> IF: reddit > New hot post in subreddit > Subreddit: wallpaper
> THEN: Android Device > Update device wallpaper > Image URL: {{ImageURL}}
Everytime there's a new hot post in this subreddit, the phone will retrieve the URL and update the wallpaper.
Note: In order to see the Android Device channel, you'll need to install the IF app on Android and keep it installed for it to be able to trigger device actions such as changing wallpaper, etc.
IFTTT could do something like that, couldn't it?
I'm almost positive that IF (formerly IFTTT) is exactly what you're looking for.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt&hl=en
Logo looks similar to if this than that. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt&hl=en
haha nevermind i fixed it. There's this pretty cool app that I enjoy tinkering around with.
Nope.
Here is a link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt&hl=en
I have an account with IFTTT, and a Do button on my home screen. The Do button has a recipe to post a custom message to any subreddit when it is pushed.
It's not completely automated, but it's quicker than doing it manually.

IFTTT can do it maybe ?

Not quite the same but in some ways as powerful and in others ways more powerful If by IFTTT
set up an alert via ifttt
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt&hl=en
or
ifttt.com
I do think Tasker is the best. And for basic stuff, the learning isn't really that steep.
As alternative maybe look at IFTTT https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt&hl=nl But you probably allready knew about that one ?
if does it with reddit wallpapers
Are you using the default launcher?
I have no idea right now, but maybe you could come up with a recipe in IF.
But as far as I know the default lockscreen only ever has one wallpaper. Maybe you could install a second alternative lockscreen which would be used from the second page.
IFTTT is what your looking for https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt
Use an app called IFTTT (If This Then That), it's a lot better, modern, sleeker, faster and more compatible than tasker
Link : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifttt.ifttt
