People are lazy and use the same email/password combination as the login on multiple sites. When one of those gets hacked, password lists are dumped onto a paste site where anyone can see them, and try to see if they work.
We do not normally allow political ads on Crunchyroll and ask the ad networks we work with not to run any on our services. However, sometimes ad networks have improperly tagged ads in their inventory, which manage to slip by the block due to that. We have now requested the removal of that particular ad from our rotation. It should not appear any more.

If you ever see any political ads on Crunchyroll, just send us a ticket via www.crunchyroll.com/contact, so we can take care of it in a more timely manner.
I Just saw the news on Crunchyroll about this.

Absolutely tragic, and so incredibly sad. So many people murdered by a crazy person, and people who probably did nothing but make things that are beautiful and that tens of millions of other people love.
Things like this always make me think how fragile life is, and how it can quickly be over through no fault of your own.
Here's the Crunchyroll story, btw, which is continually being updated.
Season 1 and 2 were removed from CR
https://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-1025862/update-to-the-crunchyroll-x-funimation-partnership
Nice idea but give up on it ever coming to crunchyroll. I made that suggestion over 5 years ago, and there's been nothing.
https://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-836061/collected-queue-suggestions-wishes-and-thoughts
With the corporate takeover, management decided to only apply any new development efforts to VRV, and the functionality there (except for downloads) has been less than stellar...
Instead, consider making a free account on one of these anime database sites instead. It's the only way you will ever get that functionality.
myanimelist.net
kitsu.io
anime-planet.com
anidb.net
anilist.co
Funimation and Crunchyroll got a divorce some time back. Shows that weren't co-licensed during their two years together were all reclaimed by funimation...
https://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-1025862/update-to-the-crunchyroll-x-funimation-partnership
You have probably been hacked. CR wouldn't start a subscription without authorization. Change your password if you still can, and go to this page and delete any devices connected to the account to make sure:
https://www.crunchyroll.com/acct/?action=devices
Other than that, all you can do is wait for the response to your ticket. You will get two bot mails and then anywhere from hours to potentially days later a real person will respond.
It's strange but both of CR-unblocker and /u/Oujii's tutorial actually can still be used for watching, but you have to access the video directly. For example, when I tried to open the show page of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, it said that it couldn't be watched from my country. But when I tried to open the video directly through this link (episode 16), I could watch it just fine.
Another strange thing is, the front page is still showing the shows that should be restricted by region and only available in the US. But only the front page. The simulcast list (for example) only shows the shows that are available in my country. I tried to uninstall my CR-unblocker, deleting my cookies, and install it again (also doing /u/Oujii's tutorial) but the result is still the same.
So for now, I think it's stopping us from seeing the shows list, which has already been a hassle actually.
NordVPN still works fine for me.
But to be honest I live in a country (NL) where, while I can't watch everything there is just enough left worth subscribing for even if they did ban VPNs completely.

Support link: https://www.crunchyroll.com/help?topic=contact
Note that "Subtitles" doesn't seem to be an option in the Problem Category drop-down menu. Perhaps "Technical" would be the most appropriate option here.
Well, you can go and remove any devices here:
https://www.crunchyroll.com/acct/?action=devices
However, that doesn't expire browser cookies like the one that lets you not have to log in every time you visit the site...
If after removing the devices, you still have other activity, then the only thing you can do to make absolutely certain to be safe is unsubscribe, then nuke the account, and create a new one.
Crunchyroll didn’t lose anything that has aired in the past 2 years. Only “old” (more than 2 years old) stuff Funimation shared with CR. Basically everything on this list except a couple like Attack on Titan, Hero Academia, and the 2nd and 3rd seasons of Overlord:
You probably can only see this link if you are a premium subscriber, a post in the premium members group by Shinryou
> We will be deploying a fix for the session expiry issue on iOS devices with the next update, which will be released soon.
"soon" isn't very specific, though...
They have some dubs, maybe 10% at best...A lot are only available in the US, though.
Dubs are listed as separate seasons if there are any.
https://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-788825/crs-english-dubbed-anime
It's not their main focus though. Funimation and to some extent Sentai (available on HiDive) also do disk releases, so they have dub processes.
Others have already answered, but in case you haven't seen it yet, here's the official news post on the matter:
https://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-1025862/update-to-the-crunchyroll-x-funimation-partnership
Go here to get rid of devices not belonging to you, maybe even all of them to be safe (you'll have to log your own in afterwards if you do all)
https://www.crunchyroll.com/acct/?action=devices
But until any browser cookies expire it's still possible some if it may continue for awhile.
One of two things most likely. Either you don't have mature content allowed (default setting) and/or you have something other than US English as your subtitle default. Both can be changed here:
https://www.crunchyroll.com/acct/?action=video
Apps have to follow the maturity ratings restrictions of each hardware manufacturer, but CR uses Apple's since it is the most restrictive, rather than to figure out each one separately. The website is just CR's standard, so it is more lax.
CR only provides a "clear history" button, which needs to be repeatedly pressed, and it removes all your watch history, including any shows you are in the middle of watching, like simulcasts. It works for what you want, but in my opinion is too broad. Still, it is official. You can use it here:
https://www.crunchyroll.com/home/history
Alternately, there is an unofficial Chrome extension that can clear a single show page, or even individual episodes. You can read about it here, and decide whether or not you want to use a third-party tool:
https://www.crunchyroll.com/group/Beardfists_Programming_Corner
I un-clicked everything that had "email" in the description on these two pages...
http://www.crunchyroll.com/email_subscriptions
https://www.crunchyroll.com/acct/?action=notifications
Haven't had any emails other than from direct support requests for years...
The download location of the CrunchyViewer.exe seems to originate from 109.232.225.12 while crunchyroll.com itself points to Cloudflare. Going to 109.232.225.12 shows me the exact same webpage as on crunchyroll.com, what I find funny is that they have a giant squared banner telling us they now support 4k anime with the viewer that you can download. Also notice the favicon missing on 109.232.225.12 and crunchyroll.com? Going to https://www.crunchyroll.com seems to "sometimes work" or at least send us to the correct server. I’m think’n kiddies got control over the DNS or the webserver itself…
I just want to continue with Attack on Titan >.<
Oh, in that case you'll probably get the account back.
For the future; you should use a password manager for all accounts. I recommend KeePassXC (it's free, open source and strong). I also recommend choosing passwords between 32 and 64 characters long. But you can always ignore this, you do you, man.
Go here and remove devices attached to your account:
https://www.crunchyroll.com/acct/?action=devices
Even then you may see some residual activity until any browser cookies expire. You may also wish to check for subscription activity against any stored payment method, and to make sure your email address has not been changed.
Found a post, which says they should have fully moved over to HTML5 in September 2018.
I use Chrome as main browser, but I tried a fresh install of Firefox, and this is what I got.
You've probably already tried it, but try clearing your browser cache, or open the Inspector in Firefox, go to the Network tab and check the Disable Cache box, which should force the page to reload everything fresh.
If all else fails, contact support and hopefully they can help out.
Here is the list of dubs on CR. Less than 10%.
https://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-788825/crs-english-dubbed-anime
And if you're not in the US/Canada, several, to many, of these won't be available outside because their suppliers are mainly specialized US companies who sell disk releases.
https://www.crunchyroll.com/help?topic=contact
Make sure to put account hacked as the subject.
You will get two bot emails at first that won't help. Supposedly hacked accounts have priority, and you should hear back for the third email from a real person fairly quickly. However, it is approaching a holiday...
If this is you?
https://www.crunchyroll.com/user/ct4nk3r
You're not premium/paid. The most current simulcast episode of any given title will only be available to free users one week after they air.
It's against the site rules to do that...
https://www.crunchyroll.com/library/Site_Rules
>Comments policy > >Guest Pass codes should not be posted in comments. They are considered off-topic and, because they are used so quickly, they become clutter almost instantly. They also tempt people to read comments before watching an episode, which increases the chances they'll encounter minor spoilers. Guest pass requests should also not be made in comments. To give away or request guest passes please use The Official Guest Pass Thread "stickied" near the top of the Anime forum.
https://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-803801/the-official-guest-pass-thread-read-opening-post-first
There are new threads created here for that, too. If you open /r/crunchyroll, and/or click "hot", it's usually the second sticky thread.
Force stop
Clear data
uninstall
Remove/deactivate from here:
https://www.crunchyroll.com/acct/?action=devices
Reinstall
Power unplug
restart
Delete data again
Start app
Log in in settings menu
You will have to do this from time to time. If you exit immediately every time when you are done watching, using the back arrow (not the "home" button), you can extend the time between having to do that.
Usually they are pretty quick to answer on hacked accounts... But unless /u/shinryou happens to check here, really all you can do is to wait.
In the meantime, read about why you should use different passwords for every site where you create an account. Any of those where you used the same one could also get compromised as well.
And read about/start using a password manager to that end. LastPass has a free version, but there are others to consider:
https://www.tomsguide.com/us/best-password-managers,review-3785.html
You still should be able to contact support via sending an email to with the pertinent account name, email address, etc in the mail body. In the Subject: line put this [Support][Account/Login] Account hacked
Using a unique password on every website you use is a must...
https://haveibeenpwned.com/PwnedWebsites
A password manager, such as lastPass can help you generate and keep track of those or this happens, and anoyone, not just the original hackers can easily find id/password pairs to try on other sites:
Not any explicit reason, just a stock non-answer by a support person who can't do anything about it. At least it acknowledges the problem but provides no promises if it will ever be fixed.
https://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-1001321/simulcast-calendar#56726037
I suspect it is because there used to be a staff person doing it manually, one who is now been let go due to outsourcing, but that is just speculation on my part based loosely on this information:
https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/87stdb/this_is_why_crunchyroll_hasnt_actually_continued/
Out of the current season shows you would definitely like That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime and The Rising of the Shield Hero
thanks! good info. I hadn't seen this yet. looks like full list of Funimation titles that were on CR is at https://www.crunchyroll.com/publisher/Funimation
Are you travelling? That's the sort of thing you would see if you were trying to watch on a vacation trip or something like that...
If not, try clearing your cookies, and/or go to the support form, then scroll down to just above the footer section to see what the "Detected Country" is (on this page): http://crunchyroll.com/contact
Another thing to look at is did you change your language setting or not explicitly have it be "US English" here: https://www.crunchyroll.com/acct/?action=video
Certain shows have a limited subtitle language match.
And on every web page there is a footer section (you don't say how you are trying to watch), make sure your language is set to English US (not UK or bare default) there as well.
I just signed up for VRV recently and got this from Crunchyroll shortly after: "Looks like you are currently double paying for Crunchyroll Premium, both through Crunchyroll and on VRV. Please sign in and cancel your Crunchyroll payment at https://www.crunchyroll.com/acct/membership so you don't get charged twice.
Please note you will still receive Premium access to Crunchyroll.com and Crunchyroll associated apps through your VRV subscription."
The site won't work outside of the app because it uses flash. As for missing shows, that is just because of Apple's mature content policy. You can change your setting here: https://www.crunchyroll.com/acct/?action=video
reused login info.
it isn't necessarily CR being hacked but if another website has login details found then they'll try it everywhere.
http://haveibeenpwned.com will try to find out if your email address has been found on dark net sites or on pastebin.
best thing to do is get an open source Password Manager like Enpass (https://www.enpass.io/) and log in everywhere and change your password.
Get a subscription.
No, seriously, on which device? If you are on a tablet/ phone, did you try to reinstall the app? If it keeps stopping, look over to the guest pass thread and try out if it keeps doing that when you have premium. If the issue remains, you might have a problem with your device. If it is a tablet and you can afford something new (and better) in the near future, or wish for something like that, I recommend to not consider a tablet and try to get a windows tablet PC like the Lenovo Yoga. I own a ThinkPad X380 Yoga and I'm very happy with it. But it has its premium price tag. For multimedia, something cheaper is enough. If you are located in the US, you should buy Crunchyroll Premium, though. It's like 5$ a month. If you are located anywhere in Europe, you probably need a proper VPN, too, to make CR worth it's money. I use ~~NorthVPN~~ [Edit] NordVPN, but that's pretty expensive. I think a one-time payment about 130$ for 3 years.
Or just pirate. Probably the best option. Even I pirate, if the series I want to watch isn't on Crunchyroll.
Maybe you should just try using another VPN, maybe the one you using is blocked, or just connect to different servers see which one might work. I'm on the free trial of NordVPN, it works for me, so you can give it a try.
You don't need to. You can use ZenMate (you can get 3 months of premium using a twitter account), CyberGhost, OkayFreedom (I can provide you a free 1yr premium code). Tbh, CyberGhost is the best free option and it's really easy to use.
They have the license to distribute it in english. Also the app has hardcoded subtitles.
There's the Shonen Jump Plus app, go download it here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.access_company.android.sh_jumpplus&hl=ja
The Shonen Jump Plus manga provides free legal japanese manga.
Yes. You have to enable app side loading on your Fire (install from unknown sources, or whatever it says). Then in your Fire's browser, download the app from here:
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/ellation-inc/crunchyroll/
Find it in your file explorer and install it, and you'll have Crunchyroll.
It depends... It could be for any of several reasons (or combinations of them).
First, you may need to make sure mature content is enabled here:
https://www.crunchyroll.com/acct/?action=video
Next, you may need to make sure that you have "English US" (not UK) as the preferred language in the "hamburger", then "gear" settings menu.
After that, the FTV can be buggy. Certain seasons, or dubs, which are treated like seasons may not appear at all, even though some of them do. If this is the case, all you can do is to go on the web show page (or use a different device/app) and play the first 30 seconds of the first episode of the "season" you want to watch, then quit the FTV app, restart it and go to the "My History" tab and continue playing it from there. It should autoplay OK from there.
Finally, there is another bug that often forgets your login. If that happened, you have to do all these steps:
Force stop
Clear data
uninstall
Remove/deactivate from here:
https://www.crunchyroll.com/acct/?action=devices
Reinstall
Power unplug
restart
Delete data again
Start app
Log in in settings menu
You will have to do this from time to time. If you exit immediately every time when you are done watching, using the back arrow (not the "home" button), you can extend the time between having to do that.
Lastly, it might be that you are in a country which CR does not have the license for the show you are trying to watch...
According to the show page, just under the picture: Simulcast on Thursdays 11:30am CST
https://www.crunchyroll.com/somali-and-the-forest-spirit
Hard to say whether that will be permanent, though. They aired the first episode early.
It looks like someone has accessed your account via a password stolen elsewhere.
I've reverted the email change and randomized the password. Use www.crunchyroll.com/resetpw to reclaim your account.
You should set an entirely new password for Crunchyroll, and different new passwords for any other site you have used with the same credentials.
Also check the devices page on Crunchyroll for any devices you do not recognize and remove those.
Contact support:
https://www.crunchyroll.com/help?topic=contact
Put "account hacked" in the subject box. You will get two bot mails, then (theoretically) within 48 hours a third email will come from a real person to interact with.
Mostly only if you are in the US, and there are only about 150 shows with them (~10%).
If you visit a show page and expand the "season" stripe that says English Dub after the title, but don't see any episode images appear under it, then you won't be able to watch even if you buy premium, that doesn't make them appear.
The only difference premium makes is if you see a gold crown imposed at lower right in the episode icon. You can only watch those with premium.
Here is a thread that lists the shows that do have dubs, but again, at least half, maybe more, of them are US only.
https://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-788825/crs-english-dubbed-anime
Yes, canceling (when you choose to do so on PayPal is a must, in fact. If you don't do it there, they will continue to push the payment and so you will continue to be charged.
I don't think you can pre-add PayPal like a card and just switch to it. You would have have to cancel, wait for your subscription to run out, then sign up with the link below and specify PayPal in that process.
https://www.crunchyroll.com/premium_pick_plan?membership=premium
Another option is to buy gift memberships (1,3, 12 month options) and redeem the code yourself. Then you don't have to cancel. But you do have to remember to buy another one.
https://store.crunchyroll.com/products/premium-membership-gift
Before trying to use a specific name, search for it first to see if it exists...
For instance, your Reddit name doesn't exist, so that should be OK
https://www.crunchyroll.com/user/megahomolord666
unless they have a granny filter on user names... I'm pretty sure you can't have anything with "hentai" in it, but I don't know how far that extends to other terms.
But even then, if the email address you are trying to use in combination with it was ever used for an account, then it will not let you create one even if the name is unused...
If that's the case, then you may wish to contact support to straighten it out.
https://www.crunchyroll.com/contact
You will get two bot emails, and then it may take some time, days even, before a third email comes from a real person to interact with.
I'm sure you will get people telling you to use another method, but it's against the TOS to use any means to forge your country of origin, so that's why Crunchyroll is doing it. If they didn't try, they would likely lose licensing rights entirely. They have to honor the terms of the contracts they have signed.
It's not exactly no anime there, there are at least some... If you turn off your VPN, and clear your cookies, you can see your available list here:
https://www.crunchyroll.com/videos/anime/alpha?group=all
That list is the same whether you pay to suppress ads and keep your sanity, or not. Whether that's enough content to make it worth your while to still use the site is a decision only you can make.
The only one missing in the "New" section different yours from the US availability (so far, at least), which is to be expected, since it is from Aniplex. You may need to check out Wakanim, depending on where you are.
https://www.crunchyroll.com/lord-el-melloi-iis-case-files-rail-zeppelin-grace-note
Missing from continuing section are One Piece (Toei Europe is separate from Toei US), Demon Slayer (Aniplex/Wakanim again), and Case Closed (TMS Entertainment, limited English primary language countries)
There are only about 10% of shows that even have dubs on CR. To find them, look here:
https://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-788825/crs-english-dubbed-anime
Then as the other poster mentioned, find and use the dropdown menu to pick the correct "season" to watch. Mostly it will have "English dub" in parentheses after the show title in that dropdown.
Failing that, (in the mobile app if necessary, but a browser app should work, too) open the blue bar on the web show page and play the first minute of the first episode under the dub title, then go to your app or ps4 and continue watching from your history.
That is a total dick move from that guy. He could just watch on your account and be quiet about it instead of changing the e-mail. You can look up on this site https://haveibeenpwned.com/ whether or not your e-mail is part of "hacked" lists in the darknet. If yes, change all your passwords asap.
How to know if you've been in any known breaches:
Step 1: Enter email here https://haveibeenpwned.com/
Step 2: Get a password manager and change your passwords starting with your email accounts.
Step 3: Activate 2FA on all accounts especially email.
The thing is that gift subscription codes do not expire but I'm not sure if the code that came from Twitch Prime loot is treated as a gift subscription code so that's why I'm asking.
>Gift Subscriptions do not expire, so please keep your Gift Subscription code in a safe location since Crunchyroll is not responsible for lost or stolen Crunchyroll Gift Subscription redemption codes or cards, or the unauthorized redemption of Crunchyroll Gift Subscriptions, except as required by law.
There is a thread for this here. No official news though
Hmmm. Free user on that page, yet listed as a Premium user on this page:
https://www.crunchyroll.com/user/clonetek
It looks like you have to go through the "contact support and wait" process...
https://www.crunchyroll.com/help?topic=contact
You will get two unhelpful bot mails first, then (likely) days later, even as much as over a week, you will get a third email from a real person to interact with...
That means either the user name you want is used already or else there is a previously existing account with your email already associated to it.
If you can't find an alternate username to work, you may need to contact support to make sure your email isn't being used already.
https://www.crunchyroll.com/help?topic=contact
If it comes down to needing to contact support, you will get two bot mails at first, then it might be days or even longer for the third email to come from a real person...
The English dub of Mob Psycho 100 season 2 Episode 1 will be available for free users on May 2 with a new episode appearing every Thursday.
Support link:
https://www.crunchyroll.com/help?topic=contact
You will get two bot mails and then anywhere from days (or longer) later you will get a third email from a real person to interact with.
That usually means the username you want is already used, or the email address you are supplying is already associated to an account.
If trying a different username doesn't work, you may need to contact support to make sure your email isn't used on a different account.
https://www.crunchyroll.com/help?topic=contact If you do that, you will get two bot emails and then days later, or longer, a third email will eventually come from a real person to interact with.
It usually takes 24 hours between that email and actual automatic payment failure. I've just sped up that process for you, so you should be able to resubscribe with your new card data via https://www.crunchyroll.com/premium_pick_plan?membership=premium.
First, go on PayPal itself to cancel the recurring payment. Paypal "pushes" the payment, unlike a credit card charge request from the vendor. Many people don't seem to realize that's how Paypal does things with recurring subscriptions (and regular individual charges, too for that matter). So to stop that automatic payout, go here:
https://www.paypal.com/myaccount/autopay/
As for a refund, well, if that's even possible, you will have to go through support:
https://www.crunchyroll.com/help?topic=contact
You will get two unhelpful bot emails at first, then anywhere from multiple days to even a week or more later, a third email will come from a real person to interact with.
No. It's not illegal. In case you don't believe me.
For the record i wasn't saying it's not immoral to block ads, that's up to the individual to decide.
Not all the dubs have been put up yet. That is one of them.
These two posts list the ones that are up, but the rest do not have a promise date yet.

This is an old list, and some of the links in it may not be working with recent site changes. I've been too occupied to update it, but a lot of it is still current... There are two pages, the second is linked at the bottom of this one.

Try reaching out to our customer service via www.crunchyroll.com/contact while using the site in Spanish. Our customer service should be able to find that information for you.

Over on the German side of things we announced the voice cast in the launch news, the Spanish team may be handling this differently.
You need to temporarily change your preferred language setting to the same as the dub language you are trying to watch. Your web profile setting is here:
No, to do that, you have to go here and deactivate them one at a time.
https://www.crunchyroll.com/acct/?action=devices
Even then, it will not expire browser cookies set on any other browsers, or even any other PCs with potentially multiple browsers that have been connected recently. You would have to log out of each and every one of those manually, too.
Devices have approved codes saved in the profile. Once you get your account back you should remove any others that aren't yours... Hackers can also continue to access even after you reset if you don't remove them here:
If there is, it would be here:
https://www.crunchyroll.com/acct/?action=video
Be warned though, that because device versions of the vid files are hard-encoded, they don't always work with a different language setting, especially for some older shows with an example of the original Naruto if that language doesn't have correct associations. Even changing the subs to something like English UK can have playability consequences.
There are a couple of settings that can influence the apps which apply less to the website: Mature content, and Language preference, the former due to device manufacturer requirements (Apple are prudes), and the latter due to the apps having hard-encoded subtitles, where very often only explicitly "English US" can be found.
In the case of Himegoto, it is probably the maturity setting that needs to be turned on here:
https://www.crunchyroll.com/acct/?action=video
If it is a language preference, it can vary where you have to set it. Some devices have their own in-app settings, and others use the same web page as the mature setting above, just a different dropdown.
If you use a credit card, you just cancel here:
https://www.crunchyroll.com/acct/membership
If you use PayPal you have to additionally stop the pre-approved payments on PayPal itself
If you use iTunes, you have to cancel through iTunes subscription services.
If you do decide that it isn't worth it, make sure to cancel at least one day before the end, just in case the timing isn't what you expect.
You can't usually cancel for about 48 hours after first signing up, because there is some kind of credit card validation. Plus that keeps spammers from signing up and getting permission to post a bunch of spam threads in the forums.
If you do decide it isn't worth it for you, and you do cancel, the premium benefits will stop immediately when you do. You will not get the balance of the trial.
I can't be sure, but it may possibly be a settings issue. Check the link below to make sure your configuration for Mature Content is explicitly set to "Show Mature Content" and on the same page, make sure your Default Language is set to "English (US)". That's an older title which may be somewhat limited in availability of options, and it may need those to be set that way.
Very few if any... There aren't very many that are premium only. You may see more in the alpha list
http://www.crunchyroll.com/videos/anime/alpha?group=all
if you make sure you have mature content enabled, though.
If you go to the "settings" page under the profile dropdown, you should have a button to cancel your membership. Direct link is https://www.crunchyroll.com/acct/membership
According to the FAQ, if you're paying via PayPal, you can cancel the subscription on the PayPal site. Check https://help.crunchyroll.com/hc/en-us/articles/204545309-CANCEL-my-membership- for details.
If issues continue to persist, you could try contacting @Crunchyroll on Twitter.
If you’re a native English speaker, I recommend the English dub, which is one of the best ever done. Can stream for free with commercials on Yahoo, or Amazon Video is having a sale, and the whole dubbed digital series is $9.99.
I’ve heard the sub is good too though.
Reinstalled the app, restarted my CC a few times, still a black screen and only for crunchy 🤔
Do you have any beta programs running?
Like, my Google app is on the latest beta for instance
NordVPN works for me.
Also, not sure if this works for you, but if you can load the CR app and see the shows listed, but video playback isn't working: trying disconnecting the VPN after loading the CR app. From what I understand this works because CR does region checking on a "session" basis (on app startup) but not during video playback. This trick works for me using the CR Android TV app on my Nvidia Shield TV.
Es kann sein, dass NordVPN von einem Hostingdienst gehostet wird, der bei uns komplett geblockt wurde, weil wir aus dessen IP-Range ein erhöhtes Aufkommen von bösartigen Traffic registriert haben, z.B. Accountdiebstahl, Website- bzw. API-Scraping, oder ähnliches.
Crunchyroll works fine with NordVPN, every US server works with it. Either you set up the VPN wrongly or you just need to delete all the cookies. Just clean all the history, everything, turn on Nord with US server and check if you are not leaking and you should be fine (if not try many different servers). If this doesn't work better go to the customer support and just ask
I'm also form outside US, and what I do is use a VPN service called TunnelBear. It's a payed service, but totally worth it if you have multiple services like Netflix, Crunchyrroll, Hulu, etc.
PS: Sorry if I'm breaking any rule from this sub
You might have bigger issues. They got your password from another breach and could be trying to get into other accounts. I suggest you check out https://haveibeenpwned.com/ to see what breaches you're in and stop reusing passwords.
While I don't rule out the possibility of the problem lying with CR, I do wonder how many people with hacked accounts were using weak or reused passwords.
Always use 100% unique truly impossible to guess passwords. And to do that easily it's obviously recommended to use a password manager.
Hey, this happened to me just last night, luckily I was quick enough to act after I saw the "warning your email has been changed" and still know my username, so I logged in as my username and force change the password straight away.

Reported it to support straight away via email as well and got my account back recovered with email, etc in less than an hour, thanks Tobias!

Now, I have checked on haveibeenpwnd after sorting this out and saw my email and password was on a "pastes". I checked on the pasted which linked me to pastebin, and behold there are 1200+ account email and password for crunchyroll on that pastebin which was posted on 23 march 2019

I suggest everyone to check, I can link the pastebin which i got from https://haveibeenpwned.com/ which listed all 1200+ user email and password in clear text (my email and old password was there), but I dont think its a good idea.

So please please, check your email on haveibeenpwned and see if you are listed on the "pastes" if the pasted link goes to pastebin with author as jjhjh where it listed more than 1200 email address and password, please change your password straight away on all website/account that use same password. I spent quite a while updating all of my passwords and enabling 2fa after I saw this last night... it was quite a shock to me.

It's there for me... You should be able to push/deliver it from the web here:

Unless maybe you have an older model stick that's not 4K or 4K max. You're probably going to have a bad time with the FTV app if that's the case, and sometimes, even if you do.
To answer some questions, they are working on the seasons listing issue, and they are also looking if it makes sense to make apps for the same platforms that Funimation had apps on, such as LG (so they say).
Also, for the manga, I don't know about iOS, but on Android there is a separate app to read it on. It's called Crunchyroll Manga, but from the reviews, it's very buggy, so it appears to be a subpar experience. (That's a US link, so I don't know if it will work in France, but you can try to search it in the App Store or Google Play Store where you are if the link doesn't work.)
As for support, the best way to contact them is through the support contact form here. Right now they are under a high load due to the merger so it might take a while for them to get back to you, but you can use it if you have questions or to report bugs, among other things. You can report the bugs that you see in the Amazon Fire app so that they can find them and fix them via an update.
Premium suppresses in-video ads only, not anything else. They still do self-promotion and background website ads. If you hover over the "?" directly after where it says "no ads", you get this blurb as a mouse-over:
https://www.crunchyroll.com/premium_comparison
>You will not see any display ads except for direct sponsorships, which may include integrated or special promotions. Premium members will never see video advertisements for the videos in their section.

You can't use search for mature titles, you have to go to the alpha all page
https://www.crunchyroll.com/videos/anime/alpha?group=all
But it may be region restricted if you don't see it there.
Put account hacked in the subject box.

Wait for the third email to interact with a real person after the first two bot mails arrive. You should get that within two days according to a staffer who sometimes posts here.
Here’s an article that describes the situation : What's going on with Guest Passes?
You have to contact support to share premium since guest passes are no longer supported and if you do happen to get one through the website then you’re lucky.

I've forwarded your issue to our devs. It will be looked into.
For issues like these it is always best to contact our customer service directly via www.crunchyroll.com/contact, so we can ask you for more information in the process of troubleshooting.
I tried poking around at it for a bit but can't get it to work. The text tracks are not listed, but screen shots of the HTML5 extension show text tracks that are just not named properly, no idea how to find them. It seems like from forum posts that you might need to force hard subs for those videos for some reason since it works on other devices.
I tried this but nothing seemed to happen or it would crash.
player_props.playerActions.useHardSubTracks(0)
with a couple different track ids but nothing seemed to work. Didn't seem to change the player_props.player.useHardSubTracks boolean either.
I tried to guess what to do based on this:
l.on(t.useHardSubTracks, (function(e, t) { return r(r({}, e), { activeHardSubIndex: t, useHardSubTracks: !0, useExternalTextTracks: !1 })
Maybe some more poking around you can figure out how to force the hardsubs, if the player will even let you.
You might be able to just watch it on vrv with subs by linking your crunchyroll account to it, which is just plain garbage since they are the same video player as far as I know. A lot of the links in the crunchyroll player point to vrv.
Basically, they are saying it's unsupported now. If it works, it works, if it doesn't, then so be it...
You could try contacting support as the help article says, though.

Some users have reported getting passes to give away that way. If you do, you will get two bot mails, then it could be days or longer before a third email comes from a real person to interact with.
CR never announces any planned development. If they do change something, unlikely as that is, you will either find out in a site news article or even just be surprised by seeing it magically appear in the app with an updated version. Since it has become corporate-owned 3-4 years ago, don't expect it to get any new friendly features. All they have been doing is just enough to keep the content barely operable.
Sorting the queue can only be done on the website, where there are two controls to the left of each show icon. The arrow pops to the top, and the double column of dots is a place to drag and drop. Changes made to the queue ordering on the web will reflect in the apps.
Yeah, there's no good reason for anyone not in the US to pay more for premium +... Shipping internationally is prohibitively expensive, from what I understand.
For Laid-back Camp, which is on a separate show page, it should be available there in NZ according to this news article.... >>The TV anime "Yurucamp/Laid-Back Camp" is available to Crunchyroll members worldwide, except Asia
Are you saying you can't get to the all episodes screen at all? When I go there on Android, or IOS, I see the live OVA episodes as a default, which makes it seem like the show itself isn't there, but if you touch the show title just above the first playable episode, you should get a drop-down to choose the actual show. (You may also need to make sure the default language in setting is for English US)
