It was recently released for mobile devices. No in-game purchases, no micro-transactions. Just the game as it was released in 1999.
This particular pool was actually a DIY job in Israel and built around a very cheap $500 Intex above ground pool.
He dug a big hole in his yard, put up some 4' support walls, put the above ground pool in the hole, and then put a sliding gate on top of the pool. Total cost is probably around ~~$2500-3000~~ $10,000.
Edit: I remembered the price incorrectly. This was originally posted 4 years ago and I forgot all of the other costs. He said he spent around $10,000 for everything.... demo, excavation, concrete pad, new deck, new wall, electrical, pool, filters, power, metal framing, cover, turf, ect. The steel was the single largest cost. Material cost (cement & steel) in Israel is much higher than US.
Can't really tell, but I wonder if there's water in the glass already. The way the sand moves is similar to an old toy with sand mixed with liquid. Pure sand would clump more I think.
Like this one but bigger https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0134PP8OA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_.qxBBb17E2XG3
It's not enough. Boiling water helps, but it will not be this clear.
Ice gets "cloudy" because of air trapped inside. The air gets trapped there because ice starts freezing on the outside first.
This is probably the best way to do it without spending money: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bUHcCHbgX_o
You can also buy these (thought ive never used them so i dunno if it really works) https://www.amazon.com/Rabbit-Clear-Ice-Cube-Tray/dp/B01MRM0CJI/ It works the same way that is shown on the video (freezes water from top -> down)
Any idea where to start looking?
Edit: I think I found them. 5 Pack Fudenosuke Brush Pen Soft Tip Brush Pens with Original Sticky Note by Gift Japan -for Calligraphy and Art Drawings- (5 Pack Soft Tip) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07H6MWKCX/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_qivXBbE5HS5RA It's a calligraphy brush pen.
If you have strong forearms you can also tense your forearm and strop them on your arm. Takes some practice to not murder yourself, but works well in a pinch.
EDIT: I promise I am not making this up, I do this with my safety razor every shave.
No, they are not. I can tell by the stone (and case) that he's using Shapton pro series stones, and he's not using the 30k.
You can purchase the #12000 on amazon for $66.23 in the US if you purchase the japanese version. https://www.amazon.com/Whetstone-Sharpening-Shapton-Ceramic-Kuromaku/dp/B002LVZG1E/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1480694080&sr=8-3&keywords=shapton+kuromaku
Now, there are certainly stones that are hundreds of dollars (naturals, choosera, shapton glass 30k, shapton pro 30k etc..), but what is in the video is not.
Any time you have to make a precise fold, score the fold first by using a ruler and the back of a knife, or ideally, a bone folder. That shit will change your life.
Edit: here is a video illustrating the use of a bone folder to score and crease: https://youtu.be/VCkK0G3Fp50
Here's a link to a good cheap one on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Fiskars-157650-1001-Traditional-Bone-Folder/dp/B0044WVSUG/ but you should be able to find one at your local craft store too.
Seriously though, if you do any papercraft folding at all, get one. They're just a few bucks and your folds will be so much better.
For anyone who wondered like I did, Tuesday is "Terça-feira" and the rest of the week days are numbered as well. Only the weekends (Saturday and Sunday) are not numbered. According to Quora:
> What you are seeing in these videos is a test of this Evergreen Supertanker plane ... The early tests are done at altitude to ensure that the jetison method works correctly and also to ensure that the changes in weight/balance occur in a way that is controllable; dumping that amount of water quickly will have an affect on those elements which in turn effect the controlability of the aircraft.
Essentially this is a 747 designed to distinguish wild fires, as it can hold more water than lower-flying aircraft. According to Wikipedia, the 747 Supertanker can carry up to 19,600 gallons (74,200 liters) of retardant or water for 4,000 miles (6,400 km), and is the largest aerial firefighting aircraft in the world.
I actually just epoxy painted my bathroom floor. It turned out great and was incredibly cheap. Love the stuff

Disclaimer: I've only had it for a couple months. So far I love it and it hasn't shown any sign of wear and tear. I know it's not the most amazing and strong 2 part epoxy. But It's inexpensive And made for a garage floor. I'm confident in it.
The bucket being used is 5gal or 18.9L.
2gal Epoxy Resin kit on Amazon goes $99 USD.
You could buy the resin for a table like this for around $250 USD or less if you shop around.
One way to achieve laminar flow is to get rid of as much turbulence as possible by way of smaller parallel paths. Think of a bundle of straws as one way to achieve this.
After some light googling I found this hackaday blog post

It was this GIF that inspired me to try recreate it with HTML and CSS but ended up way off course with this.
I had it made by a seller on Amazon. You just send them your design. The turn around time on mine was roughly two weeks from ordering it to my door. This is the one I used.
A tube wringer or tube crimper. Here's an Amazon link for one that my sibling bought me as a Christmas gift (as they always squeezed the tube from the center and drove me insane). They got it half-jokingly, half-serious, but it's seriously such a great tool and I get every last bit of toothpaste out.

Yeah I'd sometimes be in that dilemma for jobs and interviews, especially since I don't grow a full beard.
Do I keep my half-beard and look like a bum who lives with mom? or do I clean shave and look like I have leprosy on my face?
Turns out having a good shave regiment, the right razors, proper technique, and after-care products helps immensely, shoutout to /r/wicked_edge, and Tendskin
Exactly, wild sheep like the Mouflon shed naturally, but (with the exception of the ‘ancient’, ‘primitive’ or ‘heirloom’ breeds) domesticated breeds were bred by selecting sheep that shed less until eventually they didn’t shed at all.
Edit: fixed the mobile link, thanks bot
An undercoat rake is still an awesome tool- just not the furminator brand. I find with shedding dogs, you kind of need to find which type of these works best with his coat!
For a lab, I’d recommend searching for the ones advertised as fine hair/short hair to really grab that undercoat. Something like this! https://www.amazon.ca/Andis-Premium-Fine-Tooth-Deshedding-Rake/dp/B07NKZB4WN
I just ordered this for my brother this morning after seeing it on reddit a couple weeks ago. You can get one on amazon here.
They actually make these Hotwheels Camera Cars but I'm sure the quality isn't near as good.
I was curious as well and looked it up. It appears to be an air purifier but without the "hour glass body" on it. $150 on Amazon
My attempt to replicate this behavior is here. The original artist also wrote up some mathematical details.

Do you have an Android phone? If yes, you can! A quick search for 'video live wallpaper' on the Play Store and I found this:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.naing.vwallpaper
Installed it and downloaded this video and it works!! Keep in mind it may use more battery than a static wallpaper, and it will crop the video to just a vertical slice of it to fit your screen.
Edit: Here's how it looks on my phone:
https://imgur.com/gallery/cF85W5z
(Note: for some reason the vertical recording squished the wallpaper video, but it did NOT look like that on my phone. It's the regular video but just cropped, not sure why my screen recording app squished it...)

Very simple stuff really, a large "chunk" of metal conducts heat energy ~~away from the ice~~ into the ice, in a hurry (that's what metal does) - and it's heavy so it keeps constant pressure on the ice cube (gravity). Metal WILL melt ice rather quickly, but not almost instantly.
The video has been sped up, it doesn't happen in a few seconds.

The variable voltage power supply is of course the large part of the equation.
I have the SMT Micro Anodizer from Reactive Metals. In the package it'll come with the necessary anodes and cathodes required. (The included anodes obviously work a lot better than aluminum foil, but the point is the same)
From there, you can order a box of TSP, mix with distilled water to your specifications (included in the guide, will vary based on the size of your container), and you're ready to start zapping all the titanium you can find.
It's really as simple as this video is. Drop the items inside the bath, turn on the power supply and set the proper voltage, tap the item until it turns the required color. There's some tips and tricks, but that's really the entire process.
That shit is a miracle. Takes sticky residue off of anything. Definitely a good thing to keep around the house.

I’ve renovated houses for 20 years.
Go get a 2nd & 3rd quote. 1st is bullshit. Either he didn’t want to do it or you’re being cheap or who knows, someone’s not being honest.
You may want to get a nail puller or a fencing tool and get as many nails/ staples out as you can. The rest just pound in, they look interesting as part of an old finished floor. We’ve done jobs where we pound nails into the floor as a pattern.
Go to other renovations and ask who did the work, stay off the internet ads and avoid recomendations from parents. Call Realtors of newly renovated homes and see if they can find out who did what. Just say, you saw the work online and was wondering if you could get contractors number.

Because Apple has a lot of restrictions, compared to Android where you can modify and change almost anything if you'd like.
The primary feature of the app isn't to set a background wallpaper on your phone. It's intended to be used as a 'if this, then do that' app which basically gives it an endless list of things that it can do. You can find loads of recipes for iOS here, if you'd like.
Those cheap ones that you stick a blade in a V and pull through are garbage. You're going to end up fucking up your edge because the angles are wrong, and eventually you'll grind away enough of the blade to put a completely new edge on it at angles consistent with the sharpener, which isn't your goal.
A good steel to hone your blade between uses will extend the life of the edge. Then when you need to sharpen it, use a whetstone with a coarse side and a fine side. You don't need to spend thousands on a Japanese ceramic stone made under moonlight filtered through spiderwebs... You just need something similar to this that you can use to put some bite back on the edge.
One of those, and some YouTube education, and your knives will be golden.
I don't believe the blade is made from titanium. The website states:
>>Blade material is CTS-XHP tested at 60.5 HRC. Blade thickness is 3/16". 18 degree razor sharp phone book slicing mirror edge. Front scale is OD Green G10 with aggressive scalloping and heavy chamfers. Lock side scale is .189" thick 6AL-4V titanium, heavy chamfers, and my new signature Camo stonewashed finish.
From the other times this has gotten posted, the consensus seems to be that it's a great idea, but the device itself doesn't work too well in practice. It's got a 2.7 star rating on Amazon, so that might tell you something. You also have to use their expensive proprietary tape, not just any roll of gaffer tape.

What OP is using looks like "FrogTape", which is green-colored masking tape that has a polymer in its adhesive that expands slightly when it comes in contact with the paint. This helps stop the paint from leaking underneath the tape, giving you crisper lines.
Not all green tape has this property. But FrogTape and a couple other brands do, and they are very nice to work with.
Wow! I didn't expect this to get this much love while I slept! (and I'm happy I got a ton of dundermifflin references)
Some questions I want to answer: I made this GIF in After Effects. They are squares with various speed settings acting as masks on top of a gradient layer. I have the .mov file, hi-res GIF, and .AE file if anyone is interested in repurposing it!
With that being said, I cannot take ownership of the original concept/idea. I have been self-teaching After Effects for the past few months and found this animation(a much better version) on the Dribbble page of an extremely talented UI/Motion designer by the name of Vitaly Silkin and used his work as goal to re-create.
If the mods see this plz sticky at the top! otherwise plz upvote to help give visibility to the original work!

So, as someone whose done some decently difficult puzzles, it may not be as bad as people think. I'm not saying it's not hard, or not time consuming but a lot of it depends on certain design aspects.
For example, the edges are usually easy for obvious reasons. Looking at the video it looks like the pieces are cut somewhat uniquely, this means that while sorting from color can be a little more difficult, though not impossible since the color probably won't change too much if you always sit in the same spot, you can also sort by size, shape, number of sides with cutouts versus tabs, etc.
Granted you're probably going to be doing a bunch of brute-forcing from there but if you really take the time to organize your pieces it usually isn't as bad as people think. That's coming from someone who finished this one which a lot of people seem to feel is difficult.

>Ross created three versions of each painting for each episode of his show. The first was painted prior to taping, and sat on an easel, off-camera, during taping, where Ross used it as a template to create the second copy—the one viewers actually watched him paint. After taping the episode, Ross painted a third, more detailed version for inclusion in his instructional books.

In your defense, the guy who corrected you was being a dick, and ironically also seems to not have a solid understanding of circuits... It wouldn't short out if lead was used, if anything it'd be seen as an open circuit.

for a 6x6m room you'd need (by my math) 113982 coins.
these coins will have a total volume of 48731230.03mm^3 if you want to cover them with .5mm of epoxy (as well as fill out the gaps) you'll need slightly less than 24l.
at 51.50 per 2l of epoxy, thats 618 Bucks.
but 113982 pennies are 1139.82 USD.
material cost total is 48.83/m^2
a lot cheaper than /u/AngusVanhookHinson 15USD/ft^2, which is 161.46USD/m^2 in real units
