It was recently released for mobile devices. No in-game purchases, no micro-transactions. Just the game as it was released in 1999.
Take your phone with a decent battery, find the pattern area (there's almost always a table and chairs there), sit yourself down, download RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic, and lose hours.
Or browse Reddit.
My wife has 14 sewing machines. I know how to survive. Also, sometimes you can get decent velcro from them if it's on sale.
Just checked right now mine loads up and can find it on the play store. Try this link https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atari.mobile.rctc
Pretty sure it's this
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atari.mobile.rctc&hl=en
or well, this to be more specific https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/rollercoaster-tycoon-classic/id1113736426?mt=8
The devs accidentally made the original free and were unable to reverse it. So they removed the original and reuploaded the same thing as a different game. You can download the original from your library, it should be there somewhere. I doubt the original will be updated ever again though. But yeah, the devs screwed those of us who purchased the original, and they don't seem to care.
Link to the original, should show up if you purchased it before: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atari.mobile.rctc
My guess is that they reduced the price by mistake and have temporarily taken it off sale until they are able to increase the price again. It's still on the site, you just can't see it unless you already have it.
@4:40
Your objective:
Have Fun!
You have failed your objective!
LOL, freaking loved the games. The mobile remaster is quite nice as well.
Why not? I heard it's a pretty much a straight copy of the original RCT. Excluding the new font and a couple of glitches.
>I feel like this shit could be solved by just being able to filter out "includes in-app purchases" in the app stores. I want a filter like that so bad.
On the other hand, some games do in-app purchases fine. See RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic. The in-app purchases are just the expansion packs the original game had.
> PLEASE NOTE: Additional content for RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic is available via In-App Purchase, specifically the three expansion packs: Wacky Worlds, Time Twister and Toolkit. The expansion packs are the ONLY content that require an In-App Purchase and In-App Purchases are not used anywhere else in the game.
Obligatory mention of the mobile version for those who may be trying to replay this nostalgia trip.
It takes a little getting used to control wise but its the the game as i remembered it.

I recommend Roller Coaster Tycoon Classic or Game Dev Tycoon

You can get it on Android or iOS through the respective app stores!
For Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atari.mobile.rctc
For iOS: https://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/rollercoaster-tycoon-classic/id1113736426?mt=8
I'm shocked no one's mentioned this is phone friendly. 4.6 stars with 95 park scenarios, allows file import, and no microtransactions.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atari.mobile.rctc
The interface is a bit odd but other than that it seems pretty good. It has a 4.6/5 rating on Google Play, so the reviews suggest it's good.
If you want the nostalgia, RCT:Classic has been out for iOS & Android for over a month, check it out! Fantastic port of RCT2 from the original developers. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atari.mobile.rctc&hl=en
Baixei, e abri. O jogo, na hora, começou a tocar a intro do RCT 1. Mano, eu chorei.
You can read this article as to why Atari republished the app under a new app id: Atari re-publishes Roller Coaster Tycoon Classic after accidentally making it free
Your old purchased one can still be accessed directly but will most likely not receive any updates.
There's also RollerCoaster Tycoon® Classic for Android, which despite being published by Atari, is a well-received mobile port of the first 2 games.
Version 1.0.3.1612301 includes fixes for: - Building sloped tracks/curves hill in car rides, karts and coasters - Scenario completions not being triggered correctly - Guests walking too fast - Frozen people in queues

I still have it downloaded, so I can't check it in my library, can you look in your payment history, found it there too: https://i.imgur.com/0uy78nd.png
And here is the url: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atari.mobile.rctc
I've been meaning to grab Rollercoaster Tycoon Classic to scratch my strategy/business management itch. You might check that one out.
RTC Classic in the play store is pretty awesome.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atari.mobile.rctc
I spent several hours on it and had a great time. It's better than the shitty new versions of it. It's the original game and feels exactly the same. It takes some time to adjust playing on mobile but it's great.
Here is the play store link
and the forum link
Did you know that RCT is a game on Android now too? As if being addicted to this game on your PC wasn't bad enough, now you can be addicted on your Android phone too! This isn't just some random person remaking the game either, this app was made by the original creator of RCT. #notanad
Seriously though, I played so much Roller Coaster Tycoon as a kid and drowning people was always a fun thing to do when bored. :>
What about the original RollerCoaster Tycoon game? It hits a lot of the building/management things you'd get out of a nice city building game. There are no ads, no timers/energy/stamina stuff limiting your game play, and the only IAPs are for three different - completely optional - expansions.
This one is listed as RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic. Avoid the one called RollerCoaster Tycoon 4 Mobile.
You can get the new Rollercoaster Tycoon Classic through the Android appstore! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atari.mobile.rctc
It's the original game and it's a fantastic port done by the original creator of the game.
You can see that here, just scroll down.
After the initial bug with starting the game, which was fixed right away, I haven't encountered any crashes.
It's been some time, but check your play store account for uninstalled games. You'll find the old version there. Maybe this link might as well work for you.
(they made the game free in 2019, then pulled it from the app store and relisted it again)
I just got a new phone, and RCT Classic was automatically downloaded for me. I bout the original version. There are two pages in the app store. The first is the older version, and the second is the newer. Hopefully you can download it from the first link.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atari.mobile.rctc
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atari.mobile.rctclassic
Might be my time to shine. I had the same issue after purchasing RCT Classic but not finding it on the play store. Try this link: RCTC
Edit: Searaching via Google brings up https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atari.mobile.rctc&hl=en_GB
You can try this url: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atari.mobile.rctc
You can also try looking it up in your payment history, showed up for me there too. https://i.imgur.com/0uy78nd.png
I managed to find it by googling. It wouldn't show up when I used the play store search.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atari.mobile.rctc&hl=en_GB
I already have it so not sure what you guys will see.
Are you sure we are talking the same package here? It isn't available in my Library. That is how I noticed this in this case. The game is removed. Here is the store link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atari.mobile.rctc&hl=en_US
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atari.mobile.rctc
RTC Classic is good and the IAPs are just content expansions.
How do you feel about playing on your phone or a tablet? You can buy RollerCoaster Tycoon® Classic for android or ios. It's basically RollerCoaster Tycoon 1&2 of olde merged into one game and tweaked for mobile.
It plays ok on a phone, probably would work better with a tablet. But it's so nice to have the classic game working on mobile.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atari.mobile.rctc
I really have to give props to the publishers here because for once, I don't feel ripped off. It is a premium title game containing all scenarios from RCT1 (plus expansions) and RCT2. It is an extremely significant amount of content and despite only being released recently, I have put about 10 hours in. The IAPs include two other expansions, and a toolbox for creating your own rollercoaster blueprints. You don't need them. The publisher could've easily ruined this title by making it pay by coaster, but went the right way and made it premium.
I also have to congratulate the developers. Being PC titles originally, I imagined any port of this game to mobile would be a nightmare to navigate the UI. But they pulled it off. I played this game on my phone without issue. Making your own coasters and paths is very simple. I never thought I'd see Dynamite Dunes on a handheld device.
The port includes new blueprints and updated sceneries in existing scenarios. They did an extremely good job with this release on both the developer and publisher sides, and I feel it deserves some recognition.
It IS the classic PC game ported to cellphones. And it's just as nostalgic as you expected it to be.
I think it's Roller Coaster Tycoon Classic link for playstore
edit: added link
I really love this app. They did pull some bullshit though; through some "error", they removed the original app from the Play Store, and relisted the app as a new app. Meaning, people that bought it prior have to repurchase the app for the updated version. I was especially upset because I had bought the expansions for the old one. They are refusing to give people with the old app the new one as well, even though you can't buy the old one anymore. Serious BS. You won't be able to load the original app page anymore if you haven't bought it, so I've included a screencap from just now after it:
Old app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atari.mobile.rctc / https://imgur.com/a/ADZ4doi
New app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atari.mobile.rctclassic
Notice how the new app has 65 reviews / 4.0 stars / 1,000+ installs. Old app had 12,178 reviews / 4.6 stars / 100,000+ installs. They made a ton of sales with the old app then essentially invalided the purchase. Want updates? Repurchase the new one. Real scummy.
Dude.. gogogogogogogogogogogogogo! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atari.mobile.rctc
It was available at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atari.mobile.rctc and seems indeed gone now.
It's the mobile version. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atari.mobile.rctc&hl=en
Not that one! This one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atari.mobile.rctc
It's brilliant. It might take a while to learn, it doesn't hold your hand. But if you stick with it you won't regret it
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atari.mobile.rctc
Now in the Google Play Store.
Depends on what you're into but here are some of my suggestions from a variety of categories. Quick note: I haven't tested any of these on my Pixelbook but you can always get a refund if you buy one and the compatibility is weird.

Roller Coaster Tycoon Classic is a excellent game and well worth the price.
RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atari.mobile.rctc&hl=en
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atari.mobile.rctc
Works great, no micro transactions although I believe the expansion packs cost a bit extra.
I feel your pain. There is some stuff out there that doesn't suck if you're into nostalgia though
Square Enix have put a lot of their older titles up
Rockstar ditto
Rollercoaster Tycoon is my jam. I loved this game so much as a kid. I'm really glad this exists.
A bards tale I found the controls a bit weird, but playable
Harvest Moon: Seed Not the best harvest moon ever, but not fucking Farmville.
Prison Architect not nostalgia, but totally worth a look.
I've been looking for a new mobile game, thanks!
Edit: is it this one? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atari.mobile.rctc
Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atari.mobile.rctc Currently $5.99
If you want the RCT feel, the iOS/Android version of RCT2 came out last month. RCT:Classic https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atari.mobile.rctc&hl=en

Roller Coaster Tycoon Classic by Atari, Inc.
You might be still able to find it in your purchase history or directly via link to previous listing: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atari.mobile.rctc
Found the old one via Google https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atari.mobile.rctc

One of my most played mobile games
If anyone is looking at this comment with heavy nostalgia you should know that Roller Coaster Tycoon Classic exists and it is everything you have ever wanted.
That would be Roller Coaster Tycoon for me https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atari.mobile.rctc
They aren't porting RCT Classic. They are asking for money to port a shitty mobile version of their shitty PC release.
It's not number 2 but rtc classic has been released on mobile
It's been ported to Android! Worth every cent, they did a really good job adapting it to touch controls.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atari.mobile.rctc
There is an Android port that is Roller Coaster one and two and mixed together.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atari.mobile.rctc&hl=en
Too busy playing RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic to think about this sort of thing.
They have a full mobile version. Idk if the cheats work though.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atari.mobile.rctc
Do you have an Android phone/tablet? RollerCoaster Tycoon for Android just got released
Ha! Look what just got released: RollerCoaster Tycoon for Android <3
Rollercoaster Tycoon, I just got it myself. link
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atari.mobile.rctc
Scroll down to "In-app Products", there are only two tiers, so the lower bound is each of two addons, higher bound is "toolkit".
If you have an android phone: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atari.mobile.rctc
It's a direct port of the original rct and its expansions, with an awesome interface. It's even easy on the battery compared to other games!
